Dear Reader,

Hello, my name is Milan Lyn and I am a traveler. A traveler is one who seeks new experiences in the physical and spirit realm. They aim to explore new places and bring their imagination to life. The wanderlust cannot be ignored by a traveler, the need to be someone new in a distant land. When a traveler is triggered they will not ignore the drive.. they will follow their heart.

It’s a new year for me, I have spent the last 12 months finishing my education and building my career. Who did I become you might ask? I became a small business woman from my hobbies, I create pieces of art that I sell online. I also carved a new career path for myself at work. Now, my official income is from Information Technology, my “day-job.” To those who already know me... I’ve become successful.

But I feel it... I was triggered today during my wanderings at the Oregon Zoo. The wanderlust in my heart made me want to travel. So here I am... I’m back.

This summer I will catch up on my Europe travels. I will become active on my blog once more. I hope to bring Europe to you by reliving my trip.

I will also post my summer travels in nature and city.

The best part... I’m going to prepare this blog for my trip to Thailand this upcoming August. So here we go... let’s do this!

Hello tumblr readers! An important notice about this blog’s name

Hello tumblr peoples! Shawn here. Thank you for following me over the years. I started Bikes Spotted PDX at the end of 2013 when I wanted to experiment with the tumblr platform. At the time I wanted this blog’s identity to be different from my main blog, Urban Adventure League. over on Wordpress/Blogger. So the idea was this blog was going to be mostly photos of interesting bikes I saw. I had quite the archive, so that was easy.

Seven years later I still take photos of interesting bikes, but nowhere near the volume of what I used to. Over the years this tumblr blog has evolved and has become just a “repeater” of my Wordpress blog posts (both Urban Adventure League and Society of Three Speeds), my Instagram posts at urbanadventureleaguepdx and occasional reposts from my flickr at urbanadventureleaguepdx  I never got much into the tumblr “reblog other blogs” culture.

And most importantly, 99% of stuff you see here is reposts from my other platforms. There’s barely any exclusive tumblr content. But that’s okay. I’m not that fond of tumblr and I’ve thought about shuttering this blog from time to time. But there’s enough of you on here that don’t see my stuff on Wordpress, Instagram, or flickr, so I’ll keep it going for now.

But I realize it’s silly to have my tumblr blog a different name than my presence on other platforms, especially if it’s the same content. So in the new year, I’ll be switching this blog’s name to keep it consistent with my other internets. As a follower you won’t need to do anything as everything should be migrated. I’ll do another post in the New Year just to make sure.

Even though I don’t do much to promote this blog, it’s best to have that consistency across platforms. And it’ll be easier to folks to find me on tumblr if I’m Urban Adventure League vs Bikes Spotted PDX.

I intend to keep the Bikes Spotted PDX name, though. And if I do, that blog will be for posts as I originally set out to do in 2013. So follow that if you want. But all the meaty content will be with this blog in its new name.

Also, if you are looking at my blog through the tumblr browser, go check out how my blog looks outside of it, as I just did a theme refresh.  I think it looks pretty snazzy!
