do you plan to add an option to decide which fighting style MC will have? so for example their fighting style is more agile/strength based/... or will the weapon decide the fighting style?

Hey, blook! I do have six weapons in mind, but I might change some of them because I am still deciding on what would work best.

But the weapons that are absolutely locked in are:

Scythe

Dual pistols

Sword and shield

Warhammer

Also yes, weapons will decide your fighting style. When selecting your weapon, information regarding the fighting style associated with the weapon will appear.

For example, sword and shield and warhammer will have you acting as more of a tank/melee fighter while dual pistols and scythe are your melee/midrange fighters and they are purely focused on damage.

The player can make choices during scenes to change up their style now and again, but depending on when or why you choose to do so, could have consequences 👀

hi! mod here! i'm not in a position to access the demirramon website right now, so I WILL ANSWER FOR FRISK!!! i do have other asks waiting but i wanna answer this one.

pogona is alphys' surname. she and undyne are married, so they share one!

as for costello-connare, well, that was the hardest to come up with. a really good friend of mine uses gaster's surname (aster for all intents and purposes) for both the skeletons, but since i'm not of the belief that gaster is their dad, i needed something else, and i was stuck on their names for HOURS.

i did want it to be the same one for both sans and papyrus, because they're brothers, but "the skeleton" wasn't working for them or frisk, and "undertale" seemed a little on the nose. since i decided frisk would shorten their surnames to just theirs for conciseness, i really wanted it to fit all three of them. turns out, the creators of the fonts comic sans and papyrus are named vincent connare and chris costello. so i gave both skeletons the hyphenated mixed version. i'm accidentally shipping two real old men. not my intention, but it happened. long story short. frisk costello-connare!

and to answer the question that WAS for me, OF COURSE YOU CAN!!! i ask that you tag me, though, for multiple reasons, the bulk of which being i wanna be credited and i want to see what you do...

You'd forgotten something again. Was it about your job? Your family? Your friends you hadn't kept up with because you had misremembered the dates for? That one hyper fixation that you had today?

Nothing matched. Your brain was screaming at you for the time you wasted rethinking about what you had forgotten; but nothing came to mind.

A normal day then.

Then, as a distraction from your thoghts a high tech laser blaster thing punched through a brick wall and you started running for your life. Again.

There were alien pepper shaker robots with plungers. Why where they just repeating themselves over and over? Was that just how they spoke, or was there more to it? Was it nessasary to the way they shot lasers?

"Exterminate! Exterminate!" A laser jolted and swished right next to you.

"Right, I have to run."

And run.

And run.

And run. Except, now you had to not crash onto the person-

To late.

"Oh, hello humans! Is this your way of saying hello? Did I miss a decade?"

You reluctanly graped the strange man's hand. You were not fazed by the oddness in the queston; your thoghts were stranger. "I don't think so. It's just the fact that there are alien pepper shakers with plungers after us."

The man's face darkened, his youthful peesona flown out the window. "Where?"

You knew that the police would be of no help and the sadness in this man's eyes seemed to be familiar. "Can you help us if I tell you?"

"Short answer: Most likely."

"Now witch way?"

The question prompted eternal panic. Witch way was left? You couldn't remember. Were you facing north or south? You couldn't just point in a direction, because you had run in a extremely non-linear way.

Words had never been an accurate source of communication for you. Why were you this way? Well, you knew why; you had been diagnosed with ADHD, but that didn't answer your question. Why did you always forget the things you wanted to remember most? The strange man looked rather inpatient at your mental sputtering. You had to do something! So, you did the only thing you could think of at the time. Quickly you grabbed his outstretched hand and ran, guiding him though the chaotic path you had taken.

Your mind had not managed to retain much running for your life, but your feet did.

 ...Pass the blue house. 

...Turning 90 degrees at the broken stop sign. 

...Jaywalking around the stopped cars in the street.

...Turning again after the nameless black dog.

...Though a corporate building.

…And to the familiar building with the tin tanks.

your hand still fully clasped with this stranger you had just met, you spoke in between panting and gasping for air. "This is it. These are the alien metal tank creatures."

As if on cue, the screams not even across the blook started up again and an army of daleks (Not that you knew what they were called at the time) turned into view.

The madman lurched forward in outrage much like a predator looming in on their prey. He was unnerving. "Alright listen up! I am the Doctor, and you are the daleks! You have no right to this world, and It’s protected by none other than me. And you have made a grave mistake messing with me when I don’t have a companion, or anyone to holding me back. Leave before I run out of mercy."

"THE DOCTOR IS UNARMED. WE WILL DO NO SUCH THING."

EXTERMINATE!

A laser shot from the thingy that would have hit the silly man instead wiped by him as I pulled him into a run again.

Hiding behind a dumpster in an abandoned alley the Doctor fiddled around with a metal glowy stick and welded something together from his pockets quickly. "What are you doing?"

"No time to explain, get me some sort of electrical circuit board!"

"Will my phone work?"

Wordlessly the Doctor takes my phone, prys it from it's cashing, snaps it in half, and conects it to a very peculiar looking device.

EXTERMINATE!

The Daleks find us again but this time we don't run. The Doctor chucks the machine at the invasion party they aim towards us ready to end us.

EXTER-

The Doctor aims his tech stick toward the sky causing his device to activate. The result is instantaneous. Every dalek that was in front of us and firing ends up blowing up in several malformed chunks.

More daleks screech out words as they approach us. "EXPLAIN! EXPLAIN!"

"Ha! I've rerouted the your primary weapon to your self-distruct sequence by changing the commands signals! The doctor is never helpless unarmed, you lot should know that by now."

"RETREAT! RETREAT!"

The Daleks start to be enveloped by an otherworldly white glow and disappear all at once.

The mad man seems to return to an upbeat face and seems to slip his mask back on seamlessly as if the darkness never touched his eyes. He looked again to be a harmless Nerodiverrgent, clumsy and meek as if he hadn't just felled a armada of aliens ready to destroy the earth. he muttered under his breath about inter-galactic law, blissfully unaware of all the odd looks his direction who believed him insane.

It reminded you of the mask you had to put up for all the "Normal" people in your life. How many times had you stopped being every thing you were just for a brief connection?

"Hello, I think introductions are in order! what did you say your name was?"

You plunged back into the real world from your thoghts. "Y/N."

"Well, Y/N, you seem awfully calm considering your planet was just invaded."

"I could say the same thing about you. Also how did you do all that? Are you even human?"

"I'm the Doctor." The man enthusiasticly spoke as if that explained the anomalys of the day.

"Is the your last name or did you just have mean parents that named you Doctor?"

"I'm not human, and it's common for my species to have titles we choose for names."

"Right. I suppose another alien species isn't the weirdest thing that's happened today."

The Doctor broke out into a brilliant little grin. And reached into his coat pocket to grab a little black wallet thing. "Hold on I want to see if I'm right real quick. What's on this paper?"

"Um, It's blank?" I don't think I was catching whatever the silly man wanted me to see.

"You are clever! I knew it! And I do need a companion after...." The Doctor pauses in sorrow and pain.

"Y/N, how would you like to come with me?"

"Um, do you travel or something?"

"Oh, I forgot to mention it, haven't I? I go to lots and lots of different places and meet all sorts of aliens all the time. I hope you know most of them aren't like the Daleks. Millions of planets and galaxys and pulsars and planets up in the sky, one day I'll see them all."

It took a while to comprehend what silly man had just said. You adored the stars. And now this man you'd just met had really just asked you to go with him to see and go to places humans wouldn't go for maybe billions of years!? To boldy go were no one has gone before? (I'm an unapologetically ing references and I'm not sorry.) Was this heaven? Had you died in the Dalek attack?

"That sounds utterly fantastic! You're sure you want someone like me?"

"What are you talking about? You just saved my life and were fearless in the face of a world ending threat. If course I want someone like you."

"I just, usually people don't like the way I think."

The Doctor almost seemed offended. "Do I look like a usual person?"

"Good point."

I looked down in slight embarrassment for bringing it up.

"Hey look at me." The Doctor softly grabbed my shoulder and I tilted my face up to meet his sincere eyes.

"You know what I've found in my nine hundred years of life? I found out the people who get called Quiet or shy have the most interesting thoughts. I found out that the loneliest people end up being the kindest, that the people with disabilities have so much more grit and determination than the people that don't, that the people called slow are the most brilliant when they're done analyzing. that the so called freaks and weirdos of the world are twice as clever and twice as kind."

"Do you know why?" I was near tears and shook my head.

"Because people like you and me have to work twice as hard only to get half as far. We have strength, far beyond that the average eye can see because we're trying to make up for faults by working twice as hard. Our struggles make us more resilient, more creative, and better people. We take it apon ourselves to attempt to appear normal in an attempt to make connections, when in really they should be the ones understanding us."

"You humans are so silly we it comes to different ways of thinking. On gallifrey, you'd be celebrated, not punished for what you call a quote 'disorder'."

I hugged him. I hugged him harder and tighter than any stranger I'd ever hugged before.

Tears. Happy tears flew down my cheek. I loved this stranger, not for his looks or wacky demeanor.

But because there is that silly man's arms I knew again what it felt like to be understood.

We were standing in a world of unknowns, at top a street that had just been invaded but I knew one thing:

i just read the newest asks here (more specific the one about "casual things which turn on RO`s"), which lead me to the following questions:

are the answers you give here cannon/being used in the IF?

its a little difficult for me to write a question, so i have to give some longer text. sorry for that: in some RPG-games i played, you get different dialogue choices/flavour text depending on which abilities/stats/companions you currently have. those arent big ones (like skipping a whole quest) but simply adds some additional flavour. do you plan something similar like this only for the nsfw things you shared here (and maybe for sfw stuff like hobbies)? an example: you mentioned that an MC that is working out/has great weapon handling would be very hot for Mina. so if i have an MC who is great with their weapon (focus on the combat-stat) and/or chose the (hypothetical) workout-option, would there be an additional paragraph during the description text, where Mina e.g. would be blushing/watching MC for a bit before looking away/etc.? i hope what i have written is somewhat clear.

Most asks are canon unless it is something silly or would not necessarily come up in the game because would not work within the setting.

Your question is really well written so no worries! I can understand what you are trying to ask. In all honestly, I'm still playing around with how I want to handle romance and how far I am going to go.

Because the game is +17 I have more freedom to be explicit but I also don't want to make those who are just doing friendship routes to feel uncomfortable or feel forced into those interactions. So while I am keen to add more of those flavour texts and add fun scenes, I am still in the planning stages on how to implement that so it would not feel forced upon those not interested.

For the SFW, there will definitely be more flavour text in the future! Once settled in the base, there will be more chances for the player to do stuff outside just training and missions. I am very excited to write those sections!

Sorry for not being able to give you a definite answer yet but know I am researching how to add all the stuff I want in twine to make the game I wish to see.

just played once again through the whole IF. i really liked the new chapter and im really excited for what comes next. especially for more scenes with Triv and MC. i will sent another ask with spelling errors/bugs, but for now some questions:

a) does the houses you choose in the new chapter have any consequences? will you earn different stats/have more or less "screentime" with certain RO´s etc.? b) => same question, but with MC´s specialization c) => same question, but with the languages ==> in my case the questions focuses on Triv as the chosen RO

could you maybe give some visual example for each uniform option? personally im interested in the dress variants, but feel free to share examples for the other ones as well.

1.a. No stats bonuses or gated interactions with ROs (they all share the same house as you)! It’s purely so you can be apart of a house with a name you maybe don’t dislike as much as the others, haha.

1.b/c. When it comes to classes, there will be many ‘general’ courses that you’ll have in common with all of the ROs (defensive tactics, affinity cultivation, entry foreign affairs). Of the three courses dependent on your mark, language and specialization, there will be brief interactions with ROs that may overlap, but the meaningful interactions will come from the general courses and the missions outside of the GA.

2. Ahh it’s easier for me to give visual examples of specifics like what a mirror corset looks like, but a lot harder when it’s a combinations of things! I think the Pinterest will be the best way to get a feel for the style I’m envisioning if you look at the Navaarian clothing and the uniforms for the ROs.

If you're looking for Mr. Frowner 24/7, he's found his own corner and cut ties with me- 'cause I was too annoying for him I guess. But I can still give you his location anyways like with the rest." The Hypogean girl wipes her watery mouth on her sleeve, jumping from positively erratic and manic to defeatist and exhausted - unstable.

With a very dramatic flourish, Rila procures a magic ball thing that looks more like a globe - the kind that can be spun; there are six images - of a vaguely familiar bear Mauler but not quite, a freckled man with snowy hair, a jester seemingly made of red ink or molasses.. a sailor, a masked dancer with bells and a nobleman uncannily similar to the Valesa viscount, save for the snowy hair streaks, fangs and less round pupils. "Thadaaa~! And if you pick one of those - Too-dalloo~ -'Cause picking a spot on this globe will teleport you there!"

"So! Questions to me, or Ta-taa?" Is Rila grinning a little... too widely? Oh, and.. glitches, too, with miniscule but jittery twitches. Now drifting and lounging on a cloud of cotton candy, upside-down but her head is still normal instead of like her body. It's over in a blink, like nothing happened at all. Simply sitting cross-legged on the cloud, head propped on her hands like dreamy and looking at you with huge grin that's...on the verge of drooling, again & pupils a little too big that shrink immediately; waiting.

oh well! since you're staying, we could pay a visit to everyone else hanging around! there are the weeping ghosts of unfinished drawings, some leave smearing ink behind them, some - sharp pixels... oh, and that big unmoving pile of ectoplasm is the ghosts of all the books you dropped reading after barely even starting them! be careful around that place, you might accidentally find a fanfiction poltergeist among them, that's gonna become a problem really fast...

Ask intro – The Fair Gentleman

A delicate clay tea cup sits on its simply ornated saucer, the tall blook-lined shelves lining each wall a humble background. The wooden pallette and paint brushes await patiently on the small table next to the tea cup. Thin, graceful lips upturn, a quietly warm glimmer in the artist's pale gaze. Nothing is amiss, the set-up toeing the fine line between cozily casual and pristinely orderly. It should do quite nicely. ....Except I've nearly forgot to darken my brows. Can't have them blending with my skin tone, can I? One quick minute of corrections later, and the young man nods to himself as he steps back into the quaint room.

This will be fun.

Settling into the improvised chair he'd been carefully working on for two months– The man lightly steeples his gloved fingers. And with a friendly subtle smile of warm welcome, hospitality, he speaks to his 'guest' or 'recording'. A voice faint yet still much audible without need to strain somehow, despite its softness. Breathless, chilly rasp like Death's whisper, and he lowers its pitch a tiny smidge– More silky, not quite dipping into baritone as it skirts the range of counter-tenor.

"Hello, my name is Florent– Also known under my moniker 'The Fair Gentleman'. However, you are welcome to refer to me by name." Nerves flickering from sudden bout of self-consciousness, the urge to pick up the cup with chamomile-mint milk tea flashes... But the mage restrains himself, keeping his posture and overall appearance relaxed. Casual.

now, after reading the ask about MC being assumed dead, i want to build ontop of it. so: MC is KIA; after the funeral and people left, RO heads over to the grave and hold a short speech/pour out a glass for MC/...; after they are done, they hear a "oh, that was sweet" from behind: its MC! how would the RO´s react?

optional: what exactly would the RO´s do/say while standing at the grave?

Hey Blook! I won't give an answer for your optional question because that might come up later (Not quite the same scenario but definitely along the same vein) but I can answer the rest!

(Also my sincere apologies for answering your ask so late. I have been slowly working my way down the asks and there were far more than I expected in my inbox!)

Nico: He is taking deep breaths and trying to control his storm of emotions because he is torn between lunging at MC and throttling them or kissing them. It leaves Nico with a strange expression of loathing and yearning.

His hands are clenched at his side and his face is slowly turning purple from bottling up all the words he wants to unleash on MC. Eventually he will lunge at MC, but only to hold them fiercely, nails digging into their back. His body trembles with anger and relief.

Theo: He is sprinting towards MC before the words fully leave their mouth. He would tackle them to the ground and cry into their chest, wrapping his entire body around them. MC and Theo would be on the floor for at least twenty minutes, no one would be able to pry Theo away and he is too lost in his relieved sobs to pull away.

Ara: Her legs would go weak and she would fall to the floor, unable to believe her eyes. She would call out to MC and cry in their arms, unable to believe that they are alive. She would bury her face into their chest and her arms would lock themselves around MC's neck.

She would continuously mumble I love yous and please never leave me again in their ear. A look of disbelief yet profound relief would be on her face.

Mina: She would storm up to MC and shake them, fisting the front of their shirt in anger, screaming about how it isn't a joke and how could they make her believe they were dead. The screams of anger would devolve into sobs as she asks how could they over and over again.

She would collapse into their arms and then bring MC into a desperate kiss, biting their lips and stealing their breath. It is like Mina is trying to crawl into their skin.

Will: He would have a guarded expression, his hand on his anima weapons. His voice would be cold and deadly as he asked them to confirm their identity. He would refuse to believe they are truly MC until they are able to provide evidence.

When they do, his expression would crack into one of disbelief and happiness. He would hug MC fiercely and swing them around, his voice thick with emotion as he said thank you over and over again.

Astrid: She would be frozen in place, unable to believe her eyes. Her face torn between hope and despair. MC would approach Astrid and touch her gently. When she feels MC's touch she would snap out of her frozen state and hold MC's face with shaking hands.

She would be searching their face desperately to make sure it is really them before resting her forehead on theirs, tears running down her face.

Spencer: Immediately sprinting towards MC and kissing them, arms wrapping around MC and nails digging into their skin as if trying to mould their bodies together. MC would barely be able to breathe as Spencer smothers them with kiss after kiss.

Spencer's tears would splash against MC's face as they cling to them tightly.

waterfall... what are you hiding. i think we know less about waterfall than we do all the other areas in undertale- or at least waterfall has the most secrets in it. think about it: what do we know about waterfall? we know it's the home of undyne and the blooks. it has a garbage dump. ...and that's it. literally, we know that:

the ruins were originally the capital of monster civilization, the former home of the dreemurr family, and initially inhabited by every single monster before the dreemurr kids died. there's a city and everything. the residents are all very kind if you give them a chance. the area music that plays there is whimsical and inviting.

snowdin is inhabited by a population of furry monsters who decided they liked the cold while the kingdom was looking for a new capital, and decided to stay there. it's the home of sans and papyrus, and guarded by a platoon of dogs whose fur protects them from the cold. it's got an inn, a shop, a restaurant, cheerful area music, really friendly atmosphere and locals, all that jazz.

hotland is the underground's technological epicenter, being the home of alphys the royal scientist and the core. it's got quite the population- it even has a university and a luxury hotel. it's mettaton's primary performance area, possibly the only place he performs live. its area theme is electric and filled with a sense of wonder and excitement for what lies ahead. the site of wd gaster's fatal accident and a busy area in general.

new home- capital of monster civilization. has a giant city that we don't end up exploring, but that's clearly populated by all different types of monsters. the home of the king, and the most crowded area in the underground.

meanwhile, waterfall... i mean. its area music isn't cheerful or whimsical or excited, it's mysterious and dramatic and suspenseful. it's the setting for the undyne fight, sure, but even before that, so much of it is weirdly dark and shrouded in apprehension and uncomfortable tension... like the monster history plaques? the "a drawing of a strange creature... there's something very unsettling about this picture" plaque??? like. did we ever figure out what the fuck that one meant? i know it was probably just of asriel or flowey or something but. i don't know! it's still a weird detail to put in!

and that's ignoring the weird horned statue sitting in the hall, waiting for someone to put an umbrella on it to protect it from the rain... the statue that looks like the titan in deltarune... the structures at its feet seem dry... obviously it's literally the only place we can ever see gaster and goner kid... and clamgirl... suzy who may or may not be susie deltarune's undertale counterpart... that odd npc that just wants to know what a star is and asks you about it in a fairly unsettling way ("can you touch it? can you eat it? can you kill it? ...are you a star?" was WEIRD)... the entrance dog room in snowdin has a very out-of-place waterfally vibe, almost as if toby's trying to tell us something about its importance to the game as a whole... the legendary artifact... not to mention it's the only area where you can see the king's castle from the outside. GOD.

i just feel like we didn't give waterfall enough of a look the first time around. the whole place is SUPER shady and i really really hope some of it carries over into deltarune somehow, like with the titan... i need ANSWERS.

What do you do when there’s not much to an AU? You make up your own stuff, ofc. And as is per usual when I make Character Designs, I make up a shit ton of lore too.

The ramblings under the cut, but what I’m really interested in, is what you guys think. Do you guys have any headcanons/ideas for this AU? Let me hear them! Before I get into the characters’ roles, here’s some general facts and backstory of their town:

- Basically, it’s Undertale meets Harvest Moon / Stardew Valley. Well, kinda. I at least used that approach for coming up for the jobs for the characters. You know, how there’s always a general store, a doctor, a smithy, etc.

- The usual story of a HM game is that you come to a town that’s way past its glory days and you, as the player/farmer, help them get back to that. The “backstory” of the town is that that already kinda happened. I’ll get into it more in the character description, but basically when Asgore was still mayor, the town got really popular. Then yadda yadda, a certain tragedy happened, two kids died, and the town suddenly got very bad publicity. There was a lot of stuff going on back then, bad reputation being spread and also a lot of law stuff, cos, you know, supposed child murder ‘n all, so Asgore made the decision to shut off the town to ppl from outside. This was in the interest of most monsters living there, because as fun as it is to have a lot of people coming there, most just wanted to live a quiet life. Not everyone was happy with that though, so many moved away from town and some others are trying to get the town back on its feet. But more on that later.

On to the characters:

I’m just gonna start with the skelebros, cos it’s their fault in the first place I got so invested.

Basically, they are what the player is in hm/sdv. They just showed up one day, took over the abandoned farmhouse and began their life there. The two came to town way after it was “closed” and since then a new mayor has opened the possibility for new residents to move in. Their farm helps the economy of the town a lot and the mayor, like usually in hm games, is trying to use that to make the town more known again. The skelebros aren’t really working towards that goal however.

So, now a bit more detail on them individually.

Papyrus:

- The design is mostly based on what’s “canon” in this au.

- He works mostly on the fields and is in charge of the crops. Their fields aren’t spectacularly big, but still big enough to plant a few dozen rows of veggies. 

- Paps also helps out a lot in town when he has the time. He helps Asgore with his plants, he goes fishing with Undyne, helps Toriel carry crates around and so on. This is inspired by the part-time job mechanic in HM ToT.

- Unbelievably, in this AU Pap is not an absolutely awful cook. Since he helps out at Muffet’s and Grillby’s a lot, they tend to show him some tricks to cooking. Even though Pap’s not a big fan of the greasy or overly sweet cooking those two do, he picks up a lot.

Sans:

- Again, design mostly based on the “canon” look. Maybe a bit more baggy.

- This is finally an AU this dude gets to rest. Since there are no resets and he doesn’t have to see his bro die again and again, for once in his life, he’s not a sad ball of depression. He’s just a chill and lazy dude that loves to make puns. Though, since he’s not too experienced with the feelings of loss, helplessness or grieving, he still tends to hide behind puns and fakes smiles if he does feel bad.

- Sans is in charge of the animals on the farm. Papyrus begrudgingly gave him that role since Pap’s loud demeanour and hectic movements usually scare the animals. Sans’ relaxed attitude draws the animals to him naturally and even if Pap mostly finds him sleep against a tree, in a stack of hay or on one of the sheep, the animals are always fed, healthy and relaxed, so Sans seems to be doing his job.

- Sans always has a small chic sit inside his hoodie or hat. Is it always the same one? Who knows, maybe.

- Sans also, somehow, can produce eggs out of thin air. Grab into his hoodie pocket, in his pants pocket, in his hat, in his slipper, there’s suddenly always an egg there. On good days he can even make butter or cheese appear. 

Gaster:

- He’s literally just a scarecrow in this. Though, if you ask any of the bros why they designed their scarecrow that way, they won’t have an answer.

Frisk&Toriel:

- Frisk is mostly based on what I wore myself as a kid in summer. Just a loose shirt with a cappy. Toriel basically has her ut gown, just with an apron on top.

- Frisk just appeared outside the “magical” forest one day. Napstablook and his cousin found them and brought them to Toriel, who has been taking care of them since.

- Toriel runs the general store in town, but also often takes care of the few kids that still live there.

- Frisk usually helps out in Toriels store, plays with the other kids or sits around at Asgore’s. They’re notorious for nabbing small snacks, mostly from Asgore’s plants. You’ll always find them munching on something. 

- Frisk was in town before the skelebros. Since they’d moved in, Frisk often went to spy on their farm. After a small incident with angry chicken, Frisk got to know the two better and now they see them as something between brothers and uncles.

- But Frisk honestly gets along with everyone. Just like in UT, they’ve not only been adopted by Toriel but literally everyone.

- Toriel and Asgore’s relationship is not as bad as in the main game, since, you know, Asgore didn’t kill literal children, but there’s still tension between them. Back when Asriel and Chara died and the whole thing with the bad rep for the town began, Toriel felt betrayed by Asgore focusing more on the town than giving their deceased kids the grieving they deserved. They’re not divorced, but Toriel still moved out and said needed space to think. Now that Frisk is in the picture though, the both of them are slowly coming to even ground and may even be able to talk things out and clear up the uncertainty of their decisions.

Asgore:

-Asgore has his UT Ending / Deltarune clothes, just with a gardener’s belt.

- He’s the previous mayor of the town, but after all the crap that happened, he stepped down from the position. Now he has his own little shop and sells seeds, saplings, homegrown veggies and fertilizer. So, basically what e.g. the Marimba Farm is in HM AP

- His main customer is Papyrus and they’re on friendly terms. Asgore is worried about how much and how hard Pap works, so he often gives him a discount. 

- Since his family’s past tragedy, Asgore is kind of nervous around kids. So, when he first met Frisk, he hoped they’d not visit him too often. But to his chagrin, Frisk took an instant liking to him and spends a lot of time at his shop (and steals eats the fresh grown veggies). Now, he’s really grateful for that, because for one, he loves Frisk as dearly as he had his own children, and also because now the tension and mistrust between him and Toriel seem to grow smaller day by day.

Undyne&Alphys:

- I gave Undyne a pretty basic fisher’s outfit. Alphys basically has Elli from HM’s outfit, just a bit more doctory stuff added. She still has her canon lab coat too.

- In essence, Undyne and Alphys have 2 completely different jobs. Alphys is the resident doctor and Undyne runs the fish market.

Two things. Yes, I know Alphys is more a mechanic than a doctor, she fits the aesthetic though, so she’s the doc now. And no, Undyne being a fisherwoman is not cannibalism, think of it more as a shark hunting smaller fish.

- The reason I lump them together is because they act as the local “smithy”. Alphys is still really tech savvy in this (I mean, Mettaton is still part of this AU), so she takes on most problems with electronics and stuff. For Undyne, I didn’t want to lose her Royal Guard’s Captain image, so she’s really good at handling tools (and weapons, but Al doesn’t let her make them anymore). So basically, if there’s a broken tool, you can be sure that either Undyne or Alphys can fix it.

- As for relationships, those two are still an item. Alphys is still really shy and a shut-off, but since Undyne and Pap become best friends, she gets to know the skelebros better. She and Sans especially get along well, since most of the time Undyne and Papyrus are let loose, they sit back and talk about science-y stuff. (no, Sans doesn’t have a background in science but he’s still into sci-fi)

- Alphys has a bit of a strained relationship with both Asgore and Mettaton.

Back when Chara and Asriel died, it was because of “illness” (maybe poisoning?). Alphys feels awful because with her back then limited knowledge on medicine she couldn’t help the two. Asgore doesn’t hold anything against her but Alphys can’t help but feel guilty.

Alphys still built Mettaton’s body in this one. The two had a really big disagreement, because Mettaton hated the fact the town was going to close, and he couldn’t understand how Alphys could feel otherwise, even more so endorse the idea.

Mettaton, Napstablook, Mad Dummy/Mew Mew:

- Napsta and Dummy are pretty self-explanatory, they got straw hats. Mettaton’s outfit is a bit of a joke cos it’s a play on “work at the top and party at the bottom”. The tie has two different sides, one with the yellow red pattern, the other completely red. His “top part” is the business part, because when he’s on tv or in the mayors’ office, you don’t usually see his feet. The bottom is his party/dance part, cos his dancing/entertainment channels mostly feature his legs. 

- Mettaton, still a robot, Napstablook and Mad Dummy are all still cousins in this AU.

- Originally, they all lived and worked at the Blook Farm, the Animal Farm of this AU. Mettaton, however, despised that simple live and after befriending Alphys and her building him a body, he left the Farm to pursue bigger things. 

- Mettaton runs the local tv network. From weather to game shows, he does it all. He also runs the tailor shop in town that sells his designer clothes and merchandise. After Asgore stepped down, Mettaton also took over the role of town’s mayor and now works towards making the place more known again. Not everybody is happy with him doing that though.

- One of those people is the Mad Dummy. He can’t stand people anyways and he always claims that history would just repeat itself.

- Since the whole family is made of ghosts, they have different dummies and scarecrows they can use to take care of the animals. To mock Mettaton and kinda get back at Alphys for giving MTT such an opportunity, Mad Dummy found the blueprints for the Mew Mew robot and now modelled one of their scarecrows after it. 

- Napstablook isn’t fond of taking over obejcts like his cousins do, so he mostly takes care of the snails. Somehow, he can interact with them even when incorporeal. 

Muffet&Grillby:

- The two of them run the Inn together. Muffet cooks in the daytime and makes desserts, Grillby manages the bar in the evening. 

- The two still can’t really stand each other but working together like this benefits them both because their rivalry just spurs them on more.

- Even though Grillby is a patient person, somehow Muffet is the only person who riles him up enough to retaliate. (Well, maybe except for Sans, he’s a strong second).

So, basically everything between those two is a challenge in some way. Even if Papyrus doesn’t notice, even his cooking lessons are a challenge for them. 

- Even though they’re constantly bickering, after working together for so many years, there’s a strange level of respect and trust between them. Even if back when they first started this business, they’d pour salt into an already open wound, nowadays they’d know better and just take a step back from the other or even comfort the other (on very rare occasions only). 

Asriel&Chara:

- They be dead. Kinda.

Some Characters that’d live in that town too but that I haven’t made designs for:

- Gerson is the original smithy of the town. He’d grown up in a family of smiths, but he’d always had an appreciation for the sea. That’s why, when the town became more deserted and Undyne had a good enough skill level as smith, he took up the Captains hat and now mostly spends his days out on sea. He also ferries people to places if they need him to. Oh, and just like in canon, Undyne learned most of her skills from him.

- Burgerpants is a poor dude Mettaton basically kidnapped when he was trying to get fame in the city. Now Burgerpants works wherever MTT needs him to, be that as cameraman for the tv shows, cashier in his tailor shop or his slave secretary in the mayor’s office.

- MK is Frisk’s best kid friend. MK’s parents are in charge of shipping the goods out of town and paying the individual people. MK’s the one that usually collects the goods at the end of the day.

- Other than that, there are only a few people in town. I’d imagine the older folks or the really young families stayed in town after it was closed. I think the librarby dude would still run the library. Some Snowdin residents like the stone family or the dogs also might still live there.
