It’s still raining.
The gloomy weather doesn’t necessarily bother Shouto, it just… is. There’s not really much point in sulking over something unchangeable, so he doesn’t—even if he does grumble a bit as he towels off wet his hair after his patrol for the nth day in a row, trudging from the locker room at his agency up towards his office.
Takahashi meets him as the lift doors open onto his floor, bowing in greeting.
“Welcome back, Shouto-sama.”
“Hello,” Shouto greets his secretary, letting his towel rest looped around his neck. “It’s late, why are you still here?”
“I have some paperwork to hand off, and felt compelled to stay until you reported back for the day.” The two men begin making their way down the corridor towards Shouto’s private office, falling easily into step with one another after so many years. “Besides, there is another matter…”
Shouto pauses in the archway leading towards his personal office space. Takahashi’s desk sits just outside his office door, neatly organized as it usually is. There are a few plants in the tiny vestibule—though Shouto’s uncertain as to who actually put them there or tends to them—and a small seating area along one wall for anyone waiting for meetings with the pro-hero, even if he rarely schedules them.
Unusually, there’s someone sitting in those generally unoccupied chairs today.
A woman.
“She’s been here for most of the afternoon,” Takahashi says, keeping his words low and inconspicuous, spoken just on the edge of his breath. “She insisted that she’d wait to see you.”
Shouto blinks.
The visitor has spotted the two men now, and peers at them almost in surprise from across the room—like she scarcely expected to see the two of them at all, though she’s the interloper in this particular place. Shouto’s eyes flicker down to the small box held carefully on her lap, and the umbrella leaning up against her chair.
Oh.
You.
“Shall I ask her to return another day?” Takahashi quietly asks the man at his side, looking between his employer and the unexpected visitor in turn.
“No,” Shouto says, having emerged from his momentary stupor of surprise. He takes a step in your direction. “This is fine.”
You stand as the Pro Hero approaches, and he can’t help but notice you seem a little nervous.
“Hello, Shouto-san,” you say, bowing politely as he nears. “I’m sorry to turn up unexpectedly.”
“It’s no problem,” Shoto says, “Takah—my secretary informed me you’ve been waiting quite a while.”
You make a sheepish little expression. “I wasn’t sure when I’d be able to return, and it was important to me to see you in person.”
“I see,” Shouto nods, glancing once more at the box you’re clutching tightly in your hands.
It’s quiet—ungracefully so—for a moment. Across the room, Takahashi clears his throat lightly.
Shouto lifts his hand, pointing a bit too briskly towards his office door for the gesture be considered elegant or well-practiced. “Would you like to speak inside?”
“Oh, yes, of course!” you nod. “I really do apologize, I know you just got back from patrol. I don’t mean to take up much of your time.”
Shouto steps towards the door to his office, holding it open for you to enter before him. You hesitate once you’ve crossed the threshold, uncertain what to do next. In the doorway, Shouto similarly hesitates—carefully contemplating whether to leave the door open or closed.
He doesn’t often welcome people into his office, and among the few he does, they’re certainly not civilians and even less frequently are they strangers. His office is fairly sparsely decorated, because he’s never really felt the need to decorate, but Takahashi keeps it tidy while he goes out on patrol. Shouto used to insist to the secretary that he didn’t need to do it, but he’s grown to appreciate the straightening up—and file alphabetizing—and has learned to accept it without complaint.
He's never had reason to be insecure about the austere nature of his workspace, but he's exceedingly conscious of it now that he doesn't even have a seat to offer you.
You suck in a breath before him, as though gathering your nerve, and Shouto’s eyes flicker over to you.
“I came to say thank you,” you tell him, and Shouto is taken aback by your air of sincerity. “For the gifts.”
He clears his throat, looking away from your overly earnest gaze.
“You’re welcome,” he says. ”Did your son like them?”
“Are you kidding?” you blink, your expression startled like you can’t believe he’d even ask. “Nao loved them. He was so excited the first night he hardly slept, and he insisted on bringing all of them into bed with him—there was barely enough room for him to squeeze in.”
Shouto feels a certain peculiar sense of satisfaction hearing that.
Takahashi really had outdone himself in securing a variety of Recycling Hero merchandise for Shouto to have sent to you and Naoyuki. Frankly, Shouto wasn’t even aware that there was a Pro Hero with such an extensive array of branded goods—besides possibly All Might, and more recently Dynamight (though the majority of those products were unlicensed and manufactured by fans.) There were all the usual items—like keychains, figurines, clothing and other wearable accessories—but Reductro has recently branched out in a variety of ventures, like lunch boxes, reusable water bottles, and even adhesive bandages that are all made of organic compounds and can biodegrade. All of his merchandise is made of sustainable, organic materials, in the spirit of his environmentally conscious ethos.
Your eyes land on a rather large pile of packages next to Shouto’s desk, and your gaze traces them in relative alarm.
Ah.
He’d forgotten about those.
“Um, are those for…” you trail off, your attention flittering over to him nervously.
“Oh, no,” Shouto replies. “Those belong to me.”
The pile of Reductro merchandise beside his desk is comprised of duplicates of what he’d had Takahashi secure to send to Naoyuki. When his secretary had sent him a list of items for him to choose from, he simply told him to purchase two of each: one for the boy, and one for himself.
You look at him a bit strangely then, though Shouto’s not entirely sure why.
“You’re a fan of Reductro?” you ask him.
Shouto nods. “I wasn’t overly familiar with him, but recently have become quite interested in his work.”
He surveys the pile of packages beside his desk, and then his eyes flicker back to the box in your hands.
“It was largely thanks to your son.”
You laugh then—a bright, happy sound. Shouto wasn’t expecting it, so he startles slightly, his eyes snapping up to your smiling face.
“Nao would be really happy to hear that, you know,” you say to him.
Shouto stares at you for a moment, until eventually you look away.
“We made these for you,” you say next, holding out the little box in your hands. “Nao and I.”
Shouto reaches out and takes the offering from you, though he’s hesitant.
You would have had to pass security before entering the building, and he’s fairly confident you don’t seem the type to do him harm, but he’s still a bit wary as he lifts the lid of the container and peers inside.
“They’re cookies,” you tell him, a bit shy. “We weren’t sure how to say thank you, and they were Nao’s idea…”
Shouto isn’t sure what to say.
His experience tells him he shouldn’t accept the gift. Poisoning is a real threat for public figures, especially Pro Heroes. Even if the gift had passed security, they wouldn’t have been able to test for illicit ingredients or toxins, and sending them downstairs for testing would likely be troublesome—assuming that the research and development department of his agency even has the tools required to screen them.
But he can’t remember anyone making cookies for him before.
“It’s a recipe from Reductro’s cookbook, in case you’re wondering why they’re green—“ you step forward to explain, pointing down towards the little box of baked goods that Shouto is still blankly staring into.
His head pops up.
“There’s a cookbook?”
You laugh, your hand coming up to cover your mouth, and then you cough lightly as you look away. After a moment you peek back at him, nodding.
“A few months ago, when we first got it, Nao refused to eat anything that didn’t come from it,” you say, smiling a little as though you’re reflecting fondly on the memory. “I’ve never seen a kid so excited to eat leafy greens.”
In his mind, Shouto makes a note to have Takahashi look into this as soon as possible.
“Well,” you say, clasping your hands together in front of your coat. “I appreciate you taking the time to speak with me, and all the kind gifts you sent to Nao.”
Shouto shakes his head lightly. “Don’t mention it.”
“I’ll leave first,” you say, dipping in a bow. “Thank you very much for the work you do, Shouto-san.”
You step towards the office door—left ajar since Shouto never did decide whether he should leave it opened or closed.
“Um—“
You pause when you hear Shouto speak again, turning back towards him from the doorway.
“Please tell Naoyuki-kun that I’m grateful to him,” Shouto says, his brow furrowed like he’s deep in thought. “For introducing me to Reductro’s work.”
You smile softly. “I'll let him know.”
“And also for the cookies,” Shouto adds after another moment of thought.
“I'll tell him that too.”
Shouto nods, satisfied he’s said all he needs to say.
“Goodnight, Shouto-san.” You dip your head in a final bow of parting, and then you slip out through the door.
Shouto stands in the centre of his office for a while after you depart, the box of cookies still open in his hands.
He plucks one out, surveying it closely on all sides—and then sniffing it for good measure. He glances towards the door with the cookie held to his lips, half expecting Takahashi to appear and chastise him. When he’s confident the secretary is not lurking just out of view, he takes a bite.
It’s… strange.
It certainly has the consistency of what Shouto would consider a cookie, but it’s not quite as sweet as he was expecting. He contemplates this thoughtfully as he chews. There’s also a distinctly vegetal flavour that lingers once he swallows the mouthful down, but he can’t say with any certainty what ingredient might be imparting that particular taste.
He appraises the cookie in his grip, missing one semi-circular bite mark.
He likes it.
He pops the rest of the baked good into his mouth, shuffling towards his office door.
“Akahahi-han—“ he calls as he pokes his head out into the vestibule, and his secretary turns in his seat towards the sound of his name—or what was supposed to be his name, but was garbled thanks to the food in Shouto's mouth. He quickly swallows down his mouthful. “Where’s the nearest bookstore to here?”
Takahashi turns to his computer, tapping away at his keyboard for a moment.
“Six block northeast—located in the shopping centre where you apprehended the pickpocket with the adhesive-type quirk two weeks ago,” Takahashi relays his search results faithfully from his screen.
Shouto nods, dipping back into his office.
He reappears a moment later with his jacket on, a baseball cap in his hand, and his little box of green cookies tucked safely under his arm.
“I’m leaving first,” Shouto calls as he passes his secretary’s desk.
“Shouto-sama, is there something you require at the bookstore?” Takahashi rises swiftly from his seat and pursues the young Pro Hero towards the elevators. The two men stop and wait for the elevator to arrive once Shouto pushes the down arrow. “I’d be happy to retrieve it on your behalf.”
The doors slide open and Shouto steps in, pulling his baseball cap on over his head.
“There’s no need, you can head home for the day,”—the elevator dings as the doors begin to slide closed, Takahashi’s usually placid expression markedly perplexed at his employer’s peculiar behaviour—“I just need to pick up something for dinner."

Baby Daddy Chronicles

A Tomura Shigaraki parent Oneshot
You forced Tomura to spend some alone time with his year old son while you went out with a couple of friends for a girls night out. He realises how difficult parenthood can really be.
Inspired by @wornoutmouse
Word count: I have no idea but I’m pretty sure it’s a lot. Way more than I expected.
Warnings: None, just Papa Shiggy trying to figure out how to please and get along with his son.
This is targeted towards Black readers, but the reader insert is able to fit with anyone.
Key: b/n = baby’s name.
“It won’t stop staring at me.” He told you on the phone as he carefully watched his crawling child from the other side of the room. Chewing on one of his soft baby toys with his toothless gums as drool gathered around his small mouth.
You scoffed on the other side of the phone line. “It? Tomura that’s your son you know? And he literally just turned one last week. What is he supposed to do? Do cartwheels around the house?” You laughed, resulting in a groan from your baby daddy.
Tomura nearly jumped out of the grey sofa as his son began to slowly crawl towards him. He noticed the small, h/c haired, curly headed infant had one of his red shoes in his hands and quickly pulled it out of the child’s small fingers before he could start sucking on it. “He’s been doing the same thing for nearly an hour, it’s really creepy.”
“Welcome to parenthood. If you were around often, you’d see b/n does that all the time.” You sighed.
Shigaraki saw that the child was about to cry and pulled him up onto the sofa, his pinky fingers pointing away from the mini body as to assure that his quirk wouldn’t activate. “It’s not my fault I’m always at meetings, the league needs me y/n.”
“Well your son needs you more. You should’ve thought about all of that before and pulled out fast enough. Anyway, I’ve gotta go, have fun! I’ll be back in a couple of hours!” Before he could say anything you hung up, Shigaraki slumped his body down into the soft cushions as his child continued to stare at him with crimson eyes, just like his own, like he was some sort stranger.
This was the first time he’d ever been alone with his toddler. Ever since the kid was born, he had always left you to deal with the parent stuff while he was busy coming up with ideas to take down the corrupt hero society. Occasionally coming round with diapers, clothes, food, money and other things needed so you and his child were living comfortably.
It’s not like he didn’t want to be around his son, but it was more of a fear. He didn’t exactly have a good upbringing himself, he was new to all of this and thought he wasn’t good enough to be a father or he wasn’t prepared to take on such responsibilities of caring for a small infant.
Although you constantly reassured him that it was all going to be okay, he was afraid he wouldn’t be able to show love to the child. And that he would probably grow up resenting his father, or worse…end up just like him.
He was snapped out of his thoughts when he felt his son crawl out of his arms and land bottom first onto the wooden floor, he tried to pick him back up when the child began to fidget and whine beneath him.
“Oh come on little guy, can’t you see I’m trying to make sure you don’t get yourself into trouble.” The baby smacked his muscular arm and began to crawl back to his original space, picking up one of those small All Might action figures you brought for him out of spite and smack it head first against the floor.
Shigaraki chuckled and scooted towards his son on the floor, attempting to take the toy out of his hand before being met with a small palm against his soft cheek. “Alright! I’ll leave you to keep destroying your little figure. I guess we have at least one thing in common hm?”
A gentle, warming smile appeared on Tomura’s face as the toddler began to loudly giggle, grinning wide with soft gums in amusement while he smashed the figure’s head on the floor with even more force. His father’s heart warmed at the sight of this, not only did his son also hate all might for some reason, but he found joy in destroying things to make him happy.
You would be pissed if you saw Shigaraki finding amusement in shamelessly entertaining the child’s activities, but you weren’t here. To your baby daddy, it was just him and his sons little secret.
However, his smile was quickly faded when the baby began to loudly cry. On normal occasions, he’d just step back and wait for you to deal with your son while he made his way to the balcony due to the fact he hated such noises.
But unfortunately this wasn’t the case. Tomura would have to man up, and deal with whatever was troubling his son like a responsible parent.
Only…he couldn’t think of anything.
You fed him before you went out. And made sure you had stocks of perpetrated milk in the fridge in case he got hungry, and his favourite show that made Tomura rip out strands of his white hair from the annoying rhymes was on the television at normal volume, so what could possibly be causing his son such agitation?
It was only until Shigaraki picked up his boy and was met with a strong, putrid smell from the boy’s diaper that he finally knew. And he wasn’t looking forward to solving the unfortunate problem.
~~~~~~~~
Holding the boy with eight fingers, the older male quickly rushed to his room and placed him on the changing mat. Tomura wasn’t exactly a fan of changing nappies, he always left it for you to do. He didn’t even know what way to put a nappy on a child, both sides were to insure that the baby waste didn’t spread anywhere else so why did he have to care what side he put it on?
After stripping the baby and realising he was completely lost on what to do next, there was only one person he knew could call at this time of the evening. Small coos and groans could be heard from the small boy as he held one foot high in the air with the other in his mouth.
“Look, cut me some slack okay? Your mother usually does this type of stuff.” He told the child as he began to call Dabi. He was the eldest out of his siblings, so he definitely knew how to change a diaper right? He must have the experience.
After almost two minutes of constant transfers to voicemail, the black haired male finally picked up his phone with a loud irritated groan. “What the fuck do you want? I’m sort of in the middle of something here.”
Tomura didn’t ask or even want to know what his partner was in the middle of, when dealing with such a lazy manwhore like Dabi, who knows what he’s up to most of the time. “Do you know how to change a diaper? The kid took a dump and y/n usually deals with stuff like this.”
Shigaraki was met with a huge guffaw of laughter from Dabi after explaining his current, serious situation and started to get annoyed. This was no laughing matter. “What? Seriously? Please tell me you’re joking boss, you don’t know how to change a diaper? Have you been living under a rock or something?”
“Just shut your mouth and tell me how to do this shit, I don’t have time for your jokes.” Tomura rasped, scratching his neck in frustration as his associate continued to mock him. “Fine alright I’ll help, this is why b/n can always count on his uncle Dabi.”
Shigaraki suddenly quirked an eyebrow and screwed his face. “Wait. Who said you’re his uncle? Cause I sure as hell didn’t.”
“Um, your baby momma. I was literally the first person to go to the hospital and see the kid, I’m practically his certified god father. Put some respect on my name Shiggy.” Dabi clapped back, sounding quite offended.
“Whatever, just tell me how to change this thing. I swear this parent thing is starting to get on my last nerves.” He complained, rubbing the side of his head and letting out a heavy sigh.
“Should’ve pulled out.”
“For fuck sak- JUST TELL ME HOW TO DO IT ALREADY!” He yelled, startling the baby and resulting in a small cry. His father quickly pulled out one of his soft chew toys and put it in his hand, calming the little boy down.
“Alright relax. So the first thing you’re gonna wanna do is take off the diaper, remove those little sticky bits.” Dabi begun to explain, Tomura put the phone on loud speaker and set it by b/n’s little head. He removed the tape from the front of the diaper and pulled the front down.
Being met with a strong stench, he put that front of his hoodie over his nose in attempt to block out the smell. “Yeah I did that, what next?”
“Pick up a few baby wipes and clean him and his mess up, and I mean CLEAN him, he might get a rash of you don’t. and make sure you do it from top to bottom.” Dabi spoke in a serious tone. Tomura nodded and began to wipe all of the poop away, he started to get a hang of it after a few swipes and smiled at his new accomplishment.
He was finally getting this whole dad thing under control, it was one of his great successes next to that one time he and the LOV fought the entire liberation front with hardly any sleep.
He was quite proud of himself. “Yeah I cleaned him up, next ashtray?”
“Clean him more, make sure there’s nothing there. Then you’re gonna have to put the wipes in the dirty diaper and wrap it up.” Tomura gave b/n a final wipe down with a warm wet, rag and placed the used wipes into the dirty nappy, using the sticky sides to hold everything in place when he wrapped it up and threw it in a plastic bag.
He didn’t notice his son slowly crawling away naked with the phone until he glanced back, he scooped the child up with one hand and placed him back onto the mat. “I haven’t finished just yet, stay here. You can hold the phone for me alright.” He giggled and tapped b/n’s button nose before resuming. “So what should I do after that?”
“Well you put a fresh diaper back on the kid and put his clothes back on.” Dabi lazily responded, Shigaraki picked up the diaper and was met with confusion as he tried to figure out what side went where. “I’m gonna need you to elaborate for me, I don’t know how to put it on.”
“There’s absolutely no way that you’re being serious right now… where are you when y/n does this?” The male on the other side of the phone slapped and shook his head in huge disappointment. What kind of father doesn’t know how to put on a diaper? “I have better things to do than deal with dirty diapers. You, of all people should know this.”
“And I thought y/n having a kid would change you, jeez you’re so cold boss.” Dabi said subtly, not knowing his words would land a critical hit on Tomura’s heart.
“I know I haven’t been father of the year, but I’m trying change that. So how do you do it?” He mumbled with a click of his tongue, feeling quite guilty at the fact that Dabi was right. Of course he’d been there to provide for his little boy, but when it got to important moments like this, he was always quick to run away and avoid catering to his son’s needs at all costs.
A simple job for you, yet a complete and utter hassle for him was an eye opener that he needed to have a change of attitude towards b/n.
“The side with the sticky part goes at the back and the soft side goes at the front.” Dabi answered and yawned into the mic, his hot breath blowing loudly through the phone with a static like sound causing Tomura’s son to shake the phone out of innocent curiosity.
After a few long and complicated seconds that felt like an eternity, Shigaraki was able to successfully put b/n into a fresh diaper. He put on a fresh pair of purple space pyjamas onto the little boy and hoisted him over his shoulder.
“Aye well done boss, you aren’t just a deadbeat father after all!” Dabi playfully clapped his hands together and jokingly cheered for his boss, successfully earning a long eye roll from the annoyed male who sucked his teeth.
“I was never a deadbeat, respect me.” Tomura frowned.
“Well Now you’re done, I’m gonna go back to doing what I was doing. Give my nephew a little kiss on the forehead from his favourite uncle okay?”
“Oh fuck right off.” Tomura grinned, patting b/n on the back as he him bounced around. “Fine be like that asshole, you’re just jealous that his favourite uncle has always got his back.”
“And his only father does too. Don’t I little man? Don’t I? Your daddy’s got you!” He cooed at the baby in his arms, who giggled and gripped at his hoodie.
Feeling grossed out at his boss’ sudden kindness, Dabi said his final goodbyes.“You’re so weird. It’s scary hearing you all happy and shit. Anyway I’m out, bye.” And with that; he hung up the phone. Leaving Tomura and his mini version of himself to hang out.
Tomura held the baby high in the air, chuckling to himself as mini feet kicked and flew all over the place in a fit of excitement. “So now that we’ve finally got that out of the way, what are me and you gonna do next hm?”
~~~~~~~~
After nearly an hour and a half of his father kindly entertaining the toddler with various, safe, ‘anti villain activities’, which is what you liked to call them, b/n started crying again. At this point Tomura had gotten used to his son’s yelling, carefully picking up the child and rocking him on his shoulder as he walked to the kitchen.
He put b/n into his blue and red high chair and pulled out his own seat, rummaging through the cabinets where you kept the baby food. “The last time I gave you your bottle, you threw it at my head. So pick between these two.” He pulled out a jar of mashed Carrot and peas, and apple purée.
B/n reached for the apple purée with his small hands and began to use his gums to bite on the lid, indicating to his father of his chosen meal for the evening.
“Good choice.” Tomura smiled and opened the jar, scooping up some of the purée with a plastic baby spoon and putting it into his Son’s mouth. “Ah, so now you’re not being all fussy. All you wanted was a little food huh?”
“Woah, don’t eat too fast, you might get the hiccups kid.” After Tomura waited for son to swallow his food, b/n soon opened his mouth and awaited another spoon full of apple sauce.
All this praise came to a stop when the infant spat out his mouthful of food. Tiny chunks of apple sauce covered Shigaraki’s frowning face as he sat in his seat frozen from shock, the little boy couldn’t help but laugh at his father’s reaction, that’s what kids do after all.
He stood up from his seat and picked up the nearest clean cloth to wipe his face and hoodie. “You try so hard to make my life difficult don’t you?” He sighed at a occupied b/n trying to get the last of his apple sauce from the almost empty jar with his little hand.
Tomura immediately came to assist him and scraped the leftover purée from inside of the jar and plopped it into the baby’s mouth.
“I guess I’ve gotta clean you up now. Your mum should be home soon.” He said checking his wrist watch. He cleaned his child’s hands and face with a baby wipe before he picked him up and went back into your living room.
~~~~~~~~
In order to keep the kid distracted while he cleaned up the living room which was filled with all of b/n’s little toys laying around, Tomura went through some of the CDs you had given him before you left.
In the end, he decided on Shrek 2. Tomura remembered how you always put it on for b/n whenever you were busy with work or house chores so he wouldn’t trouble you too much. “This should be fun, it’s your favourite movie right?”
B/n clapped for joy with his petite palms as he watched his father slip the disk into the DVD player and patiently waited for it to load as his guardian went into the other room to collect cleaning supplies.
Instead of watching the film, he watched Shigaraki with wide red eyes begin to put all of his teddy bears, action figures and electronic toys into his big customised wooden toy box situated in the corner of your living room.
Once he noticed that his father was done cleaning, He crawled towards the couch and held his hands up as an indication for him to be picked up. “All you have to do as ask y’know. Come on, I know you can do it. Just say something to me, Anything kid.”
One of Shigaraki’s goals was to be the one to inspire his Son’s first words. When you weren’t around, he always tried to get him to say crazy things such as ‘I hate All Might!’ or ‘Decay!’ But so far he hasn’t been successful. It wasn’t going to stop him from trying though.
If the kid could crawl, he could definitely try and talk.
“So you’re not gonna talk for me? Okay then little guy, come here.” He said in a slightly disappointed tone and brought his child up onto his lap, holding him in place with his strong arms as they both sat in silence watching Shrek shout at Donkey for no particular reason.
It reminded him about his relationship with Dabi and the others, they’d talk about absolute nonsense during meeting and he’d always tell them to shut up and focus on the main planning. He was a really tough leader, but secretly had a soft spot for each and every one of them. Just like he had a soft spot for you.
“Looks like after tormenting me all day, someone’s tired.” Shigaraki whispered as his son began to yawn and turn into his chest for comfort. He removed his hoodie and put it over b/n’s body, leaving himself with nothing but a white vest and grey jogging bottoms to get comfortable in.
He could feel himself slowly drifting off to sleep, he was really tired after spending the day taking care of the mischievous b/n. However, he had to ensure his little one was resting smoothly before he could take his own nap, so stayed up for another half hour.
Running his three fingers along the infants small back as he coed and dribbled over his fathers chest, before falling into a deep sleep.
And once he was satisfied, Shigaraki too slowly fell into slumber just minutes later.
No heavy or deep thoughts, just him and his adorable, innocent sleeping son on the small couch.
~~~~~~~~
“Shig? I’m back.” You yelled as you stepped through the front door, wondering what was currently occupying your boyfriend and your child.
“Hello? Is anyone here?” You called out again when you failed to receive a first response.
“B/n. Your mother’s home, where are you my favourite little guy? Hm?” You slipped off your shoes and coat, placed them on the floor and coat hanger before walking further into your home.
It was unusually quiet, from the last time you spoke to Tomura on the phone, you were expecting quite the opposite. B/n crawling up and down the apartment while his father tried to catch him, little toys everywhere, but it wasn’t the case.
Instead, the place was completely spotless and you were shocked to see your baby boy sleeping peacefully on top of his father’s chest, curled up in a little ball with his resting dad still holding him with one arm. It was such a beautiful sight to walk into.
Attempting to make as little noise as possible to ensure you didn’t wake the two males, you picked up a large nearby blanket and put it over them. The foreign object was enough for a half a sleep Tomura to flutter his eyes and smile at your presence that he missed so much.
“Did I do okay?”
You moved small strands of white hair away from his face before placing a soft kiss against his slightly sweaty forehead as he fell back into deep sleep.
“You did great Tomu.”

Hope it's okay for me to send in an idea for Tomoko, Skeptic's daughter, but imagine a what-if scenario where Tomoko - fascinated with her dads luscious hair - wants to brush it. Skeptic figures since it's only brushing, why not? However as he gets more focused on his work/phone he doesn't notice how Tomoko has somehow acquired a pair of scissors, not until he hears that dreaded *snip* and the weight of his hair lifting
(Is it okay??? Is it okay?!??! I NEED TO WRITE THIS! This is one of the things that I'm way over the moon to write so thank you for setting me off to it. I love Dad!Skeptic and Tomoko so much😭)

"Don't even say it." He mumbles out as he keeps his eyes on his phone screen and sips his coffee again. You gasp and place a hand over your chest. "How do you even know what I'm going to say? I could literally say anything!" He looks up at you with a bored expression and rolls his eyes. "I already know what you're going to say Y/N. You'll say something like 'Oh Tomo, please watch Tomoko today while I run some errands. It's so very important and it's your turn to do it anyway. Pretty please' just like that." You laugh at his terrible impersonation of your voice. "Ugh c'mon forreal though! Pleeeease?"
It's not like you two didn't love your baby to death! It's just that she was 4 years old now and ALWAYS busy with the world around her. It was a bit difficult to focus on the task at hand when it involved taking your eyes off her for a minute. About 15 seconds was all it took for her to get into something.
"Next you'll bribe me with something scandalous thinking it'll work like usual but you're in for a surprise this time. It's not working I can guarantee it. I've got an important project to focus on today and it involves running code and setting up a huge new program test for Feel Good. I've got to focus on everything on screen. One mistake can cause me to have to backtrack really far and I don't-" You interrupt him and lean to whisper in his ear, then smirk at the way his cheeks turn instantly red. He clears his throat and looks away for a moment.
"Fine, but you better carry through on your end of the deal tonight. Just like I want it by the way, or else." You nod with a smile and peck his cheek before prepping to head out the door. In the meantime, he's gotten up and prepared Tomoko for a new day. She's had her little morning wash, brush, and breakfast along with cartoons. She seated in her favorite spot on the office carpet with crayons and coloring books scattered about. Her barbies are splayed out on the floor along with some other ignored toys while she's moved on to watching silly videos on her little purple tablet. Tomoyasu is deep in his work by now completely forgetting he has a family in the moment. His eyes quickly scan the multiple numbers and letters on the screen as his fingers furious type away uninterrupted. Maybe this is about the time he doesn't notice his child has stumbled upon a barbie makeover video on the tablet.
She likes makeup...she likes fashion...she likes haircuts.
She really liked the way they cut the hair and curled it on the barbie specifically on her screen right now. She rewound it and paused it several times to get a good view on how the style was done. She'd snuck away to grab a pair of grown up scissors and returned to the office with determination riddled on her tiny little face. She was going to recreate this haircut perfectly (as a 4 year old could), but she didn't want to practice on her barbies on the floor...nooooo. She needed a big head of hair to match the big ol' grown up scissors in her hands.
Daddy has long hair doesn't he...
It's very unfortunate for Tomoyasu that he doesn't notice a single silent snip or light tug at his hair over the sound of the keyboard and his mind running a thousand miles an hour right now. In fact, he doesn't notice anything until he suddenly feels the cool wind on the back of his neck. When he stops typing and taps back into the world around him is when he notices the sound of the scissors snip and the weight of his hair lifted. His mouth falls open in horror when he suddenly reached behind him and feels the back of his head. Suddenly a pair of tiny feet stumbles off a step stool and takes off running down the hallway, just now realizing the gravity of the situation.
He remains silent, familiar veins bulging out beneath his eyes. Old friends he hasn't seen in a while since he'd been learning to try and control his anger. He takes a look at himself in the bathroom mirror and nearly goes as white as a ghost...

"You're doing it again."
"Doing what?" I looked at him.
He waved his hand in a circular motion. "This. You look small. You're fidgeting."
I held my tongue to avoid saying sorry and make excuses. "I know."
He sat down in front of me and just looked at me in the eyes.
"What?"
He smiled. "Nothing. I know that you don't need me saying anything else." He scratched his cheek then let his hand slide to the back of his neck. "But you know I couldn't resist babying you when you're this vulnerable."
I pushed my foot towards him and tried to push him off but I should know better. This person in front of me is bigger and stronger than me.
"Don't get sassy with me. We both know what would happen next if you continue this."
I couldn't help but smile and blush. I covered my face and pulled myself back away from him.
"Hey! It's an even worse idea to move away from me. Get back here." He grabbed me by my ankles and pulled me close to him.
I couldn't help but laugh. I avoided his gaze and tried to push him off but it didn't stop him from embracing me and peppering me with his kisses. The softness of his lips tickled the skin on my neck and face.
"Baby! Baby, Stop!" I begged as I laughed.
He stopped but kept me caged in his arms. We stayed silent to calm ourselves a bit. I can feel the room becoming solemn.
"You're thinking about things that don't exist, huh?" He spoke up.
"Yeah." I felt his body melting. I pulled the both of us to lie down. "You don't have to worry about it too much."
"That won't help me think about it less. I know I had a part in making you like this. I knew what you went through and I still managed to add to it. I don't want to excuse that."
"Well, you're here now, right?" I put my hand on his arm and snuggled closer. "I should be looking at what you're doing about it. And if I do get hit with panic about what happened in the past. It's my responsibility to make peace with it and forgive myself."
He took my hand and placed it on his cheek. "I guess I should do the same. Make peace of the past. Make use of the present." He slid his hand on my stomach. "Raise some kids in the future." He chuckled.
I hit him on the chest as we laughed.
"Ow. What did I say?"
"Stop making me blush! It's embarrassing." I said with gritted teeth.
"Why? You look cute when you blush. Especially since I'm the one making you-" he kissed my cheek "-blush."
I buried my face in his neck to stop him from getting any sort of victory. "That's not fair. You always catch me off guard." I chuckled.
"That's because you know you're safe with me." He boasted. "Mi amor." He botched the pronunciation of the words intentionally and it made the both of us cackle.
"Stop making me blush and laugh. It's just making me feel more in love with you."
"It better." He scoffed. "Because I need to remind all those extras that you're mine and I'm yours."
I squeezed his cheeks together and made him look at me. "Baby, you scare everyone that you think is interested in me away. And you also scare the people that take interest in you away."
"Because you're mine!" He snarled and hugged me tightly he changed his tone to a baby-like voice say: "And I'm yours."
I chuckled and felt my cheeks hurting from the smile stuck on my face. "I love you," I said with no hesitation.
"I love you more and most so I win."
I chuckled again. "I guess it does if you believe that you're the lucky one in this relationship."
"That's a fact. I don't need to think about it because it's already a reality."

Top five favorite fics + honorable mentions
Top five?? How can one choose top five out of millions😭
But i'll certainly try. Here's my all time faves in the ✨HP fandom ✨
1. Miðgarðsormr by xXAonoNYmouSPXx
I'm sure it's not a surprise 😄 This fic has me hooked, i even wrote a fanfic for this fic. Basically, tomione has a magical child, and when i say magical, i don't mean he's just a wizard. Their child is so much more haha. The twist: Tom had never met hermione and Hermione doesn't even know that her child has a father. Motherhood suits hermione so well in this fic and we get the bonus of seeing Tom riddle got dragged into parenthood haha. BAMF Hermione
2. In the Black + Black Mask by izzythehutt
It's a series. Regulus survived the cave and went to Sirius then boom: BLACK FAMILY REUNION. It's Sirius-centric and Sirius's characterization in this fic is so good. This story delves deep into Black family drama and the war. SiriusxOC, and while i usually don't read many HP fics with OC as a prominent character, this fic is so worth it to read.
3. Hermione Granger, Demonologist by BrilliantLady
It's a light read and it has great theories! I like to read it from time to time. Kid Hermione summoned demons in attempt to make friends and becomes a dark witch so naturally. But even though she's a dark witch, she is still very hermione!
4. Strange Attractors by Mistakes_And_Experiments
Tomione and world building! Smart people talking smart things. Tom is deep into politic. Very slow paced. Very sweet, not dark at all, unlike many tomione fics. Hermione is a bit ooc in this one, i think (not a hot headed gryffindor at all, but rather calm like luna). Still, it's an awesome read that i like to return to.
5. when sunsets look like blood (hold me till the stars appear)
Again, Tomione. Hilarious and deep. Tom riddle is not some evil overlord in this fic. Still rather evil, but just a teenager. I read this one a long time ago, but i still love it to this day.
Honorable mentions
The Laughing Heart : Regulus-centric, one shot. This fic makes you feel. It's regulus black, duh.
R. v. Riddle : Another light read! Or is it dark read? 🤔 About a murder case gone wrong (or gone right, in Tom's opinion). Intelligent Hermione but tom riddle is so much more haha. In this case, tom riddle played Hermione like a cheap kazoo :)) i really recommend this, it depicted tomione perfectly.
You Should Know : Adult hermione and adult tom riddle/voldemort. Hermione is born in the 30s, so a bit younger than tom riddle. Another light read that i like to read from time to time. It's canon hermione who grows up in the 30-40s and doesn't have harry or ron as friends.
Aberration : Harry/Hermione. Hermione is sorted into Slytherin. Honing her cunning out of necessity
Yesterday is Tomorrow (everything is connected) : who doesn't know this fic, honestly. I don't particularly like james/hermione but it's BAMF hermione so i can't resist. I'm glad i decided to read it, because this fic influences Mad Adventure a lot (I got the idea of using the Crouch family for Mad Adventure because of this fic). This fic is not one of my top favorites, but i put it here because it made great impacts on Mad Adventure
As you can see, I mostly read Tomione fics 😅 I know my fave list lacks any Regmione, but it is what it is :( I only got into regmione because i just think Regulus will suit Hermione well and deserves so much better. In any case, The Damned is one of the most memorable regmione fic for me - it's just so different and interesting.
If you have any fic recommendation for me, feel free to share! I mostly read HP and Naruto, sometimes BNHA, so if you want to share some fics from those fandoms, feel free to do so!

'photographs' was the sixth fic posted for 'dark star - an izch anthology.'
Discussion of single parenthood, past spouse death, canon-typical bullying and quirk discrimination, general misogyny themes as they relate to canon BNHA, and age-gap romance, and other triggering content below this cut. There will also be spoilers for the fic, if you want to read it for yourself first.
Fic stats:
~21,000 words
One-shot
E rated (explicit sexual content, age-gap romance, past minor character death and grief/mourning)
Archive Warnings (AO3): None
Canon Setting AU
'photographs' is a one-shot, concerning a canon AU where Izuku 'Deku' Midoriya is childhood friends with Ochako 'Uravity' Uraraka, after their respective mothers meet each other by chance. She becomes his inseparable companion for several years of his life, before she eventually moves back to the western part of Japan with her parents. Now, he is trying to work up the courage to ask her on a date. There's just two problems: Ochako Uraraka is twenty-seven years old, and Izuku Midoriya is twenty years old, and Ochako Uraraka is now Ochako Nakano, widowed by the death of her pro Hero husband a few years prior.
Bit of an odd duck, this one. 'What if Ochako had been Deku's childhood friend in addition to/instead of Bakugou' is one of the most enduring ship-specific AUs for izch fandom. It makes sense, it's a very obvious extrapolation of the themes of the series in my opinion. Despite basically never interacting, Ochako and Bakugou have a lot of thematic contrast going on, and the basis of shipping them, casting them as 'love rivals' for Deku, or casting Ochako as 'the good friend' in contrast to Bakugou as 'the bad bully' all are natural conclusions to draw from their writing in my opinion.
This particular rendition of it was inspired by a piece of fanart by a JP izch artist that has now unfortunately moved on from izch. They now largely draw Deku/Bakugou and 'Dekubowl' content, which I still follow them for! But all their izch art has been functionally obliterated from the internet, which is a huge shame. They drew a specific piece of art that showed Deku, seven years younger than Ochako, and the progression of their lives from him as a baby, to her with him as a young boy, to her in Hero school seeing him in middle school, to her seeing him in the 'Dark Deku' arc of the manga, to him finally coming to her to ask her out. 'photographs' is actually a blunt, direct adaptation, almost beat for beat, and I've been told by a mutual friend that the artist is flattered I enjoyed her work enough to write a fic adaptation of it.
There's other elements, though. At the time this fic was written, the now-famous 'loser Deku's idea of a good first date' manga panel, where he describes taking a girl to an amusement park to hold her hands and split a crepe, was a sensation in fandom. Of course, it was instantly cannibalized for basically any Deku ship, and this fic uses that idea in what I felt was a very thematically entertaining way given their age gap.
I wouldn't really call this fic problematic. It's problematic in the sense that if I knew Deku and Ochako as real people in the situation laid out by the fic, I wouldn't tell them it's a good idea to date. But objectively there's no express power imbalance - she's not his babysitter, teacher, or boss - and both are now adults. It's just a mildly inappropriate age gap between two people who've known each other for years. I think the way we react to age gaps depending on who is involved is very fascinating, and it's funny to me that I could've just posted this fic to my main profile, and I doubt anyone would've even blinked.
It's part of 'dark star' because I wanted people to consider the implications of it all, though. The way Ochako lived a happy life, had a happy marriage to a man her own age, and had a child with him, and now in the ruins of that comes Deku, being a little selfish as he asks her out. The way that Ochako was this incredible person for Deku, and she's never really seen him as his own person, now seeing him come to her 'all grown up,' and how she buys a little bit into this fantasy of his that she probably shouldn't.
It's a little bit inappropriate and toxic, isn't it? Yet it's also romantic. I think these things can be true at once. One goal I had for 'dark star' was for izch to feel 'messy.' Other ship fandoms routinely write fairly brazenly fucked up content of their own ship, often thematically nasty even in a way that mistreats other characters or even marginalized identities (i.e. misogyny, homophobia, etc.), and those ship fandoms will eat that stuff up. Now, personally, I don't really want to write 'thematically nasty' content, per se, but I do want to write thematically challenging content that is reasonably open to interpretation. I would find it very reasonable if someone read 'photographs' and came away thinking 'I don't think these two should've dated, probably.'
There's other things, too. The reality of 'the canon plot' sneaks in at points. Sometimes this fic feels like it has almost no relationship to canon at all, then One for All will creep in to rear its ugly little head. I say that, but I do love One for All and the canon plot of BNHA. BNHA's manga largely collapsed under the weight of bad calls on its side plots, but I think its main plot has generally always been pretty good. I think this shows in this rendition, where the side plots have been largely obliterated to laser focus on 'Deku.'
Without Ochako, there is no Hero named 'Deku.' This is a statement that I would like to tattoo to the forehead of most of BNHA fandom. In 'photographs,' there is a 'Deku,' in the positive sense, but his distance and emotional removal from Ochako has left him more damaged. He presents a strong front, but he eventually admits to Ochako that he hasn't lived a very happy life. He's only twenty, but he's gone through so much no one of his age should, while Ochako has lived a fairly normal, well-adjusted life for someone of her occupation.
There's a moment where Ochako is trying to convey to Deku that she must remain focused on her child, as she is a single parent now. She's successful enough that she can afford that, which is a luxury. And she's self-conscious of her age and of the sexism of Hero society, so acutely aware that 'her life is over' now that she's over twenty-five, a widow, and has a kid. Deku doesn't see her that way, but she sees him as naive, basically like another kid.
Through the date they go on, she sees another side of him. She sees how he's amazing, just like canon Ochako does, but in the transit of Venus-type of way where she goes from seeing him as the little boy she always loved, to a remarkable young man reshaped by One for All. This is both good and deeply inappropriate, and you can feel her fighting with herself through the fic to try and convince both herself and Deku that he should go for someone of his own age, a peer who will see him for what he is.
But nobody else cared about quirkless Deku. No one sees his value. They only see One for All. Only Ochako loves Deku for Izuku, not for One for All. So he clings to his love for her, up until the moment he's ready to let her go, and she finally pulls back, realizing that she can't possibly let him go when she needs him.
I think there's some really good romantic beats in this fic, which I was fairly proud of to read back through in editing this year. I've referenced the famous 'amusement park date' a few times since in other fics, but this fic ironically is the only on-screen direct rendition of it that I've written. It's a little bit perverse in that regard, but I think it's a very mature, textured, difficult take on the subject matter that asks the audience to think critically of the ship, while still asking them to root for them in the end.
Incidentally, this fic borrows a plot point and some general tone elements from ss3dj's (@marcuskay-ss3dj) famous 'Green Tea Rescue.' That fic is probably the most popular and famous rendition of 'izch as childhood friends,' using the common trope of 'Ochako transfers to Aldera Middle School in her last year.' 'photographs' does not use that format, but it does borrow my absolute favorite plot point from GTR (namely 'who is Hisashi?'), and it serves as a sort of soft homage to the early parts of GTR.
I think there will be a handful more fics in 'dark star' that are these sort of light 'breather' affairs. Some of them have very fucked up, dark conceptual themes, like sibling incest or teratophilia, but the actual tack and tone they take with those themes is comparatively light (i.e. as dark comedy rather than drama). It's necessary for me to write these 'breather' episodes, mostly because you can only make so much awful stuff before it begins to feel overwhelming, at least to me. Still, 'photographs' is part of 'dark star' and not just a regular fic of mine because I wanted the audience to think carefully about its theme and message, and to draw their own conclusions.
If you have thoughts about challenging themes, age-gap romance, childhood friend AUs, and other related material, I'd love to hear about it! So if you enjoyed 'photographs,' please let me know! Or if you didn't, I don't mind hearing why. I hope you have something intelligent to say, rather than boring pro-/anti- discourse stuff or 'your ship is bad,' though. These fics are for adults, and I expect you to engage with them like adults.
Have a nice day.

Baby Daddy Shigaraki fanfic pt2
Tumblr media
It was a miracle that no one questioned the name put down when Shigaraki had to sign the birth certificate. You summed it up as fearing for their lives but it could be many things you try to convince yourself as the reality of your new life truly set in.
The after birth pain, though constant, was numbed whenever you looked down on your son's face. He had yet to do anything more than sleep, much to your annoyance. And was aggressive when breastfeeding  much to Shigaraki's enjoyment, "Just like his father."
Dabi was the second one to hold Daiki after Komugiri but the look of horror on his face when you fully released the baby into his arms was one that deeply concerned you. "It's breathing." He whispered to you eyes wide.
You signal for Komugiri to stand close behind Dabi just in case he really lost it. "Yeah Dabi.....he is breathing...cause that's what living things do."
Time skip
You sigh as you finally set Daiki down inside his new bed for a nap. His small face looked so delicate surrounded by soft lavender blankets. His whole room theme was a soft purple as preferred by Komugiri.
You closed the door till there was only a sliver of light coming in just in case he woke up again, then you headed to your living room.
Shigaraki sat on the couch shirtless and flicking through TV channels. "Why are you still here?" You ask as you walk to the kitchen to find your tea. "What do you mean?" You stir four teaspoons of sugar into your coffee. "I got Daiki under control, you don't have inconvenience yourself."
Tomura flicked through the channels once again. "You and Daiki are not an inconvenience, you're both my responsibility now." You release the spoon causing it to clink loudly against your ceramic cup. "I don't want you to force yourself to be here, you've obviously proved that you don't really want to be apart of this."
"Y/N come on now this again?!" "Yes this again!" Shigaraki groaned scratching idly at his neck. "I've already missed the hidden trailer off Daiki's life I'm not going to miss the prequel sequel." You groan softly, "Stop talking in video game terms you know I don't understand!"
Shigaraki stands up and walks to the kitchen now leaving only the island separating you. "Look you can hate me all you want, I don't care, hell I'm used to it. But you are not keeping me from my son." You shudder at the tone Tomura spoke at.
There were very few times when you've heard this voice and luckily it was never directed to you. This voice meant that what he said was final and he would not go back on it no matter who got in his way. "I would love to have you in his life Tomura, but I don't want what comes with it." You finally say, making Tomura throw his hands up in defeat.
"What do you expect me to do woman?! Make him tag along on "Bring your child to work day?" You turn away trying to contain your annoyance in fear of waking up the baby. "I'm giving you one chance to get your shit together, don't mess it up." Behind you, you could hear the steady steps of Tomura retreating, "And I'm giving you a chance to see how stupid you're being right now."
Before he completely walked away he stopped, "I am going to check on Daiki since it seems like he's the only one that appreciates my efforts."
Once you heard the familiar creak of Daiki's bedroom door you let out a breath you didn't even know you were holding. "How did I get like this?"
It of course was on a Saturday, as all good stories do. You were working a waitress job at Denny's as a way to earn some pocket money for your first year in Japan.
"Table 3 we got your Bourbon Chicken skillet, Fish and chips, two waters, and a cherry sprite." Your say setting down all your items before walking to the booth next to them.
"Hello welcome to Denny's, what can I get for you all tonight?" Dabi at the time, had a nonchalant hand over Twice's mouth most likely to stop his internal bickering. Komugiri was navigating the kids menu with a then 15 year old Toga. Spike ordered some Fish and Chips as per usual and Shigaraki was starting at your tits.....
Shigaraki was staring at your tits.....
He was STARING- I think you get the point
"Hey birthday bitch what are you ordering?" Dabi said snapping Tomura back to the present. "Uh.. get me a steak skewer." Dabi gasped, "I spent all my time and hard work scrounging up money and you get a damn steak skewer for your birthday?!"
The five stages of grief came over you internally as you had been standing there way past your recommended time. "If you guys aren't ready to order, I'll just come back-"
"No no no, we are ready. Can we get chicken on a stick with a side of grapes and fries for the young lady. Steak and eggs for me...Dabi? Dabi leaned back simultaneously releasing twice. "We would like a 3-egg omelette-with some cock!"
You didn't get paid enough for this.
"I'll get you the omelette but I'm afraid I'm out of stock for that last part." You smirk, putting down the orders so far. Dabi snapped the menu shut, "Do y'all have chicken tenders?" Dabi asked, looking at you hopefully. You nod and he fist bumped Twice for some unforeseen reason.
"Uh get crusty over there a Supreme Sizzling Skillet." "Wait why can all of you get chicken but I can't?!" You wrote down the orders and glanced at Shigaraki who was now looking directly at you as if you held all the answers. "Okay for drinks?"
   As you got off work, you took the back alley entrance to the bus stop. "Hey." Your scream and toss a punch into the darkness effectively making skin to skin contact. "Ow what the fuck?!" "What do you mean what the fuck you're the rapist!"
Shigaraki's signature light blue hair appeared from the shadows almost glowing from the dim alley light. "Rapist? No, I'm more on the lines of stalker." You stand there for a moment rethinking your life choices. "Yeah okay well I'm going to go-" "Wait!"
You feel half of a hand grip onto your wrist stopping you in your place. "I uh... Think you're cute and, ah crap what did Dabi tell me to say?!"
As he mulled over his choice of words you hesitantly reach into your purse for pepper spray. "Uh I was wondering if I could get to know you?" He finally ended off staring at you expectantly. You looked back at him expectantly.
"I know this seems creepy but I'm not exactly good at talking to people that are not my friends so you're kinda boss level interaction." For a while your stare at each other as the cold fall wind blew past the two if you. Giving up, you sighed and pulled out a price of paper, "Look, if I wake up tomorrow and none of my underwear is missing and window is not mysteriously open, I'll give you a call, but don't expect it!"
And he didn't expect it. To your surprise, you never found any ominous signs of entry into your substitute home, and he never 'conveniently' showed up at your job.
Even so, the very fact that you called him was during a moment of weakness. You were extremely home sick and you had just moved into your new home that was only equipped with a fully furnished bedroom and a microwave.
When you heard the hesitant knock on the door you quickly put your cup of noodles down and opened the door. In your face was a rose...a single rose in a pot.
Thats different
"It was short notice and it's not like any flower places were open.... So I stole it." You gingerly take the plant into your hands, "It's the thought that counts (?) Come in." You shut the door behind him and set the plant in the kitchen.
"You must forgive the dryness of my home, I just moved in so there isn't much going on." Tomura hummed as he felt his bones relax as the warmth of the house filled his body. You stared at each other for a while, awkwardly sweating back and forth. Finally, you both opened your mouth to speak up.
"I didn't know I'd get this far so.."
You blink at each other before you double over with laughter. "Uh okay, well how about we watch a movie, get comfortable. The TV is in my room so I hope that doesn't bother you."
You put on Wall-E for lack of better mood as Tomura hesitantly settled on your plush bed, hands clasped tightly between his thighs.
You two watch these movie in silence and shared popcorn. It wasn't awkward silence though, it was needed. A unspoken message saying that you both acknowledged that this was weird but it was a good weird. Both of you were willing to give it a try.
"Hey pass the popcorn." Tomura said blindly patting the air in front of you. "No you've ate most of it already!" You opted to keeping the bag as far as possible. "It's good popcorn now hand it over." You continue to resist but he was more stubborn.
Unable to think of any other way to save your beloved popcorn you clench your eyes shut and deliver a small peck to the tip of Shigaraki's nose.
Almost as if shocked, he slides away holding his nose gently. You huff with airy laughter at his flushed face, "Told you, this is my popcorn."
You smile softly at the memory wiping away a stray tear from your face. "One chance... I'll give him one chance."
You tiptoe to Daiki's new room and peek inside. It was too dark for you to see inside so you opened the door completely. You blankly look into the empty room before falling to your knees. "SHIGARAKI TOMURA I'M GOING TO KILL YOU!" You scream into the night air as you glared into the baby less crib.
"Man are you sure you should have him here? He's still a newborn and nothing's baby proof, hell this is a bar so it's far from sanitary!" Dabi said glancing into the baby carriage. Daiki sleepily gazed up at Dabi and babbled.
"Y/N and I are going through a small set back so I decided to give her some space." Tomura unclipped Daiki from his carseat and picked him up holding his head in a four fingered hold. "We decided to give her some space isn't that right?" He cooed at Daiki who gingerly hit his nose.
"Dude stop, seeing you with a baby is giving me the creeps." Shigaraki glared as Dabi took a shot, "Ignore your uncle Dabi he's just mad he's not as cute as you."
Komugiri was washing dishes until a shiver went down his mystical spine, "I feel a disturbance in the force.

Watching my kid get stuck in a moral loop while telling his toys it’s bad to fight has been the highlight of my morning.
“Why is it bad to fight? Because it’s bad to fight. Why is it bad to fight? Because it’s bad to fight. Why…”
*set to repeat*

Sleeping was a privilege. Shouta knew that. He remembered it every day of his miserable life, and he liked having times where he could just relax. Like today. The room was hot, contrasting heavily with the snow dancing outside the window in the morning's soft white light. He liked his days off, but he liked them more when you were in bed with him.
Shouta was not very expressive in general but has you were also a teacher in U. A Academy, but working as year three teacher, you usually met only during dinner and after classes then walked back home together. Though you had your weekends off at the same time, he was working as a hero during the nights, and you were usually called to the nearest hospital to help the heroes rushed there. When both of you were not occupied hero-ing, you were grading papers.
Quality time was hard to get when people were heroes, but most of them were not teachers at the same time. Maybe that was why teachers did not get the respect they deserved, people are not teachers in general anyway. You once said that being a teacher was like being a private hero for the young you taught. Because there were children from every aspect of life, rich and poor, from good and bad families. You could save people only by talking, and that's what you liked doing -protecting people. Being a literature teacher helped with that because the essays your students were writing often helped get them the help they needed if that was the case. But today was not for that.
The night before, Shouta came home late, and you were already sleeping when he came to bed, which didn't bother him. But this morning, even if it was a bit late, you were nowhere to be seen. No sound was coming from the kitchen, and no music was playing from the living room. 'Maybe she went out…' Shouta thought to himself. But he knew better. You were probably grading the last paper of this semester to enjoy the rest of your two weeks of Christmas. That's what you always did.
You would not last the year, as you were six months pregnant now. Your due date was near the end of March, and Shouta hoped to convince you to leave school and hero-ing before February started. But for the moment he let you do whatever you liked. After all, he wasn't the one bearing the child, and if you thought you could do it, who was he to tell you otherwise?
Shouta pushed the covers off him and posed his feet on the ground, imminently regretting it as a shiver ran through his spine. Barefoot, he walked out of the room, though he did not forget to wear a blanket to keep his body warm.
He was right. You were grading papers... well, reading them more than anything else. You were stuck in whatever world the students wrote about in their writing. So Shouta walked behind you, carefully wrapping his arms around your shoulders, reading the paper in your hand too. The question for their essay had been: ' Why is it important for you to become a hero?' His head went on top of yours, and you jumped a little.
''Shou-kun!'' you exclaimed, surprised.
Shouta looked at your eyes, but soon let them fall to the tip of your nose. Even if you'd been married for the past two years (and dating for five more), he still had difficulties having glaring match with you. ''Hmm. Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you...'' he closed his eyes as they dropped to your lips.
Was it normal that they seemed fuller than usual? Maybe it was the hormones, he read somewhere that pregnant women often had an aura of the sort. Perhaps that was it. Shouta was not one to express himself with action or words. He usually did not express himself at all. But he let the feelings he was having dictate his actions and kissed your lips.
''How are you feeling?'' He asked without commenting on the bewilderment on your face, posing a hand on your round belly. The little boy inside of you, his boy, kicked just under his hand, and Shouta smiled. He was already smitten.
''I feel tired, but I couldn't sleep more after eight...'' You had trouble sleeping since your fourth month—something to do with sleeping on your back or sides all the time. Shouta grunted in apprehension.
''Why are you grading today?'' He asked, nuzzling into your neck.
That was not like him at all. He never acted like that before. Well... yes, he did before, and that was why you were pregnant right now, but that wasn't the reason. ''We could take it slow today, order food and watch TV. What do you think?'' You hummed.
Shouta continued, ''we could cuddle all day and tomorrow, I'll help you grade those papers of yours.'' Your eyes lighted up at his words.
''Promise?'' The smile in your voice made him smile.
''I swear on my life. Now come on, come back to bed.''
