YES MY SON KALDEN he is pure of heart and dumb of ass- his family name was what got him into military academy and then his stupid charm is what kept him in. he was like. a frat boy. but only as much as one can be in a military school for officers, so his teachers HATED him, though he was generally well liked by his peers

he does get his name cleared, and his sister, who was contacting him secretly, threw a huge party (she’s like a socialite / diplomat w/in the pantoran elite). kalden invites all his new buddies, which are jedi, troopers, and criminals, and she’s a teeny bit less excited but like, her little brother is home.

its on makeb, which is a planet that just sort of wrecks itself via earthquakes, with the planet collapsing around them that kho and kalden fucking finally talk to each other. and then they get off safely

and also the reason he needs so many credits as a smuggler is that as a spoiled rich boy he has like, no sense of money, and keeps giving it away because he’s like yeah, i got plenty and like, no, he’s got like 3 credits left until the next planet. he just stumbles from planet to planet doing his best, which isnt great, and trying to be his best, which is... a nice try. he’s trying. he’s really trying.

so I think this’ll have to be some kind of mutual pining/miscommunication type fic. And because I’m a rarepair enthusiast(TM) I think it’ll have to be YakuNoya, just to add in the whole long-distance thing too! Something like one of them sends the other romantic Valentine’s Day chocolates, but they arrive late enough that they don’t seem to be romantically intentioned, and then the next time they meet up for whatever reason, one of them goes thinking it’s a date, and the other has no idea about it.
