Meet Ruby!

I built up the form I used for Pongly Bongus, re-cut, traced and enlarged it a little on the computer. Solid results but the pattern is not ideal. Way too many tricky small spots. I’ll have to refine it if I want to make more at some point.

Also her limbs and tail are wires but I have learned that aluminum wire really needs more of an anchor especially in super soft fluff so she is only gently posable. She can, at least, properly address threats:

Unfortunately, silky anteaters are adorable when angry. Oh, shoot… I forgot I was gonna stitch a little on her nose to make the shape clearer. Welp, will do that shortly.

His knee injury unfortunately doesn't let him dance like that anymore

But he's a very cheerful supporter, and now understands the game better

He may be young, but has the spirit of an old man

I started out only following dreblr cuz I was interested in lore and cdream and ctechno were my favs. In lurking dreblr I saw many of the members of this (relatively) smaller subsection of the community regularly harassed with anons and saw inniters deliberately try and come into the space dreblr carved out for themselves to accuse them of being “abuse apologists” or that “child abuse isn’t morally grey :) #dreblr” I saw these popular inniters accounts do this and went to see if the rest of the community had anything to say and nope. It was completely acceptable and in fact looked like most of them agreed with these actions. So I already had a different perception of the community bc dreblr actually had a lot of fun with lore and enjoyed it when the ccs enjoyed it as opposed to only wanting what they felt they were owed. I didn’t have a good perception of inniters.

From where I am now, dipping my toe into dreamblr (also a relatively smaller community in the mcyt sphere). I’ve seen high emotions, but also more empathy and reflection than I have when I try to visit other sides of the fandom. I’ll think I’ve found a rational inniter, but then they’ll boost a post @ing the actual Tommyinnit on tumblr linking him an accusation thread and telling him it would be better if he did his lore apart from Dream. Seeing this escalation to sending paid donos to Tubbo asking why “a victim had to forgive their abuser” when Tubbo wasn’t even involved in that plotline and seeing the PLANNED harassment of ccs made me realize that no matter how much dtblr or even dreblr might post their frustrations, they have never gotten to the degree of weaponizing those emotions into harassing ppl who disagreed with them and ESPECIALLY not into planning out mass messaging to ccs about how they, a stranger, know better than them abt their friend. I’m sure there are some good inniters out there, but that environment is far too entitled, aggressive, and cruel for me to ever have considered it a safe or healthy fandom space.
