With warm 🎄 wishes I send you greetings from Polish librarians, who made these wonderful Christmas trees – from books, old computers, and... library catalog cards!

The holidays are coming and inflation is putting all of us in a tight spot! However, we should let this stop us try to make the best out of one of the best seasons of the year.
Family reunions, food, love, peace, and ceasefire! Hopefully 🤞 this Xmas will close the year that brought new things but also a lot of uncertainty. For many of us, reading is a scape of the last 3 years and also a way of making ends meet!
I have posted this on my site! A list of little and inexpensive gifts to give during this time. Show your affection with an amazing book or even with unforgettable bookish merch that does work for something! Tote bags, reading journals, Pokémon tote bags, mugs and stickers! All you need to have a good start of a hopeful and better year 🥹🥹
Also all purchases will help our site keep! All affiliate links will give us some extra money to make 2022 a better year!

This is not your average Christmas tree.🎄
St Pancras station in London features a book tree this year where you can sit down and listen to an audiobook while you wait for your train.

Since we all agree the Harry Potter is NOT it...here's a fun poll! These are just my picks but if you feel that I've neglected one, tell me and I'll make another poll, the winners can face off or something.
Please reblog to break containment!
Pride and Prejudice: It is a truth universally acknowledged , that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife.
Northanger Abbey: No one who had ever seen Catherine Morland in her infancy would have supposed her born to be a heroine.
Anne of Green Gables: Mrs. Rachel Lynde lived just where the Avonlea main road dipped down into a little hollow, fringed with alders and ladies' eardrops and traversed by a brook that had its source away back in the woods of the old Cuthbert place; it was reputed to be an intricate, headlong brook in its earlier course through those woods, with dark secrets of pool and cascade; but by the time it reached Lynde's Hollow it was a quiet, well-conducted little stream, for not even a brook could run past Mrs. Rachel Lynde's door without due regard for decency and decorum; it probably was conscious that Mrs. Rachel was sitting at her window, keeping a sharp eye on everything that passed, from brooks and children up, and that if she noticed anything odd or out of place she would never rest until she had ferreted out the whys and wherefores thereof.
The Graveyard Book: There was a hand in the darkness, and it held a knife.
Romeo and Juliet:
"Two households, both alike in dignity
(In fair Verona, where we lay our scene),
From ancient grudge break to new mutiny,
Where civil blood makes civil hands unclean."
Tuck Everlasting: The first week of August hangs at the very top of summer, the top of the live-long year, like the highest seat of a Ferris wheel when it pauses in its turning.
Fahrenheit 451: It was a pleasure to burn.
The Hobbit: In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit. Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, filled with the ends of worms and an oozy smell, nor yet a dry, bare, sandy hole with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it was a hobbit-hole, and that means comfort.
A Christmas Carol: MARLEY WAS DEAD, to begin with.
The Secret Garden: When Mary Lennox was sent to Misselthwaite Manor to live with her uncle everybody said she was the most disagreeable-looking child ever seen.
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Far Out in the uncharted backwaters of the unfashionable end of the Western Spiral arm of the galaxy lies a small unregarded yellow sun.
Percy Jackson/The Lightning Thief: Look, I didn’t want to be a half-blood

Merry Christmas from Poland!
As of the end of 2021, there were almost 7.7 thousand public libraries in Poland. During the year, 4.8 million readers borrowed almost 90 million volumes.
Warsaw, the city where we live, has the highest number of public libraries per capita in the world. We are lucky to have three libraries within the 10-minute walking distance:-)

Truly my favorite season. My tree has so many memories and treasures, from my travels this past year and before, from friends, from love. Putting it up each year is such a gift of memories and joy.

Figured out how to filament swap and I’m so happy with how these turned out. I’ve got two holiday-ish colors left so I’m going to do Grumpy/Sunshine and maybe Friends to Lovers? Haven’t decided on the second one yet.
