"Grown-ups never understand anything by themselves, and it is tiresome for children to be always and forever explaining things to them."
Done reading π with one of the most popular watercoloured illustrated classic "The Little Prince" written by a French aristocrat, author, and aviator Antoine de Saint-ExupΓ©ry. It is a story of a grownup pilot (who use to draw a boa constrictor from inside and out when he was six) who crashes in a deserted island and ends up meeting the little prince π€΄ (a boy who never stop asking a question and lives on a planet with one roseπΉ and three volcanoes π ).
The book π reflects how the child's imagination doesn't have any constraint. How a simple stone seems like a magic β¨ bean to them, from which they can grow a giant beanstalk. And how with passing time these innocent bundles of curiosity join the clan of serious grown-ups. Grown-ups are the one who has forgotten the child living inside them, who have lost all their incredible vision and have indulged themselves in the neverending loop of logic.
It is a quick and poetic read for all ages with a beautiful message. And a quick reminder that "All grown-ups were once children⦠but only few of them remember it."

(Gifted) BOOK REVIEW: A Crown of Talons by @katharinecorrwrites and @lizcorrwrites π . Happy release day to this beauty! π€©I looooved A Throne of Swans, so Iβm super excited to be a part of this book tour for its sequel, #ACrownOfTalons! π¦’ . Since this is a sequel, I wonβt go into tooo much detail in my review, so I donβt spoil anything if you havenβt read the first book. π€ My favourite part of A Throne of Swans was the political intrigues, and A Crown of Talons continues that trend! Thereβs many different story lines and characters (both new and old) that kept me guessing about who to trust. πͺΆ Very often in books like this it can be predictable, but I think it was very well done here. I had expected a biiiit more romance, but I can forgive that because of the action in this conclusion. I practically flew through the last 100 pages because of all the plot twists.π . Overall, I really liked this conclusion to Aderynβs story, and I canβt wait to read what Katharine and Elizabeth Corr write next! β¨ . Thank you @kaleidoscopictours and @hotkeybooksya for sending me a review copy . . . #JohannasReviews #athroneofswans #hotkeybooks #kaleidoscopictours #snow #snowday #winteraesthetic #booksandnature #booksinthewild #bookreview #bookrecommendations #fictionsbooks #mybookfeatures #flashesofdelight #theswanlake #bookduology #bookseries #bookcover #cozyvibes #bookishlife #bookishphotography #booksofig #bookstagram #booktography #yabooks #yalit #yafantasy #youngadultbooks https://www.instagram.com/p/CJwydiYAf2t/?igshid=8ai3r4yai7p4

Colour me surprised that this one won because it was truly the underdog, but it goes to show that you should never underestimate the underdog. Iβve heard great things about Skywardβhopefully the hype is right!

Aug 15th, 2020 β’ πΏβHamnet, here, on this stage, is two people, the young man, alive, and the father, dead. He is both alive and dead. Her husband has brought him back to life, in the only way he can. As the ghost talks, she sees that her husband, in writing this, in taking the role of the ghost, has changed places with his son. He has taken his sonβs death and made it his own: he has put himself in deathβs clutches, resurrecting the boy in his place [β¦] He has, Agnes sees, done what any father would wish to do, to exchange his childβs suffering for his own, to take his place, to offer himself up in his childβs stead so that the boy might live.βπΏ . You better believe I got emotional typing that quote. Maggie OβFarrell has destroyed my heart but also mended it at the same time. Her writing is gorgeous, so fluid, so lyrical. Hamnet is divided into two parts. The first one we have alternating chapters going from the time Hamnet and Judith get sick, to when Agnes and her soon-to-be husband meet, how they get together and build a family and how he goes to London to became the most famous playwright of all time. I love the fact that his name is never mentioned; that everything we know about him is almost through Agnesβs eyes. And part two deals with the grief the family goes through after Hamnetβs passing. Despite the fact that you know form the very beginning that is going to happen, that Hamnet is not going to survive, itβs no less devastating. I donβt know how to put into words what this novel made me go through. Itβs almost so wrong how one can write about grief and loss in such beautiful way. You can feel what the characters are feeling and you go through this journey with them. And then you finish it, close the book and let them go. But thatβs the thing. I wonβt. . What was the last time a book you loved also destroyed you? β’ β’ #adayinbooklandreviews #hamnet #maggieofarrell #literaryfiction #womenwriters #booksoutside #unitedbookstagram #fortheloveofbooks #augustreads #booksandnature #bookreviewersofinstagram #bookreviewers #bookrecommendation #ilovebooksπ https://www.instagram.com/p/CD6nn6zqpAN/?igshid=15vpqth4c6xqq

Q: How is the weather by you? βοΈ. Last Saturday it was 60F in New York, and then last Sunday it snowed. So the current weather is Β―\_(γ)_/Β― π€·ββοΈ. Its mostly still cold here in NYC. When its above 40 its "warm"! ...is it spring yet?!. Full review of Weather Girl on the blog now, link in bio. Iβve said it before and Iβll say it again β Rachel Lynn Solomon never disappoints with her books. This is a romance where the MC is a TV meteorologist! I canβt say Iβve ever read a book where that was the characters profession, so that was a lot of fun. Ari Abrams has always loved the weather and dreamed of becoming a meteorologist β she achieved this goal and is now on the morning news as a meteorologist! Not just any news station, but the one with Torrance Hale, the woman she admired growing up and who is now her boss. Things arenβt as sunny as she had hoped (no surprise, Seattle isnβt known for its sunshine) because Torrance and her ex-husband Seth, the stationβs news director, are super passive aggressive towards each other in the office. After a disastrous holiday party, Ari and sports reporter Russell decided to try and get their bosses back together. I loved Ari and Russellβs chemistry! They started as friendly coworkers which slowly grew into more than friendship. The entire time it felt completely natural. They already had something in common, their workplace, and getting their bosses back together let them spend more time together scheming. Thereβs a lot going on in this book but it never once felt rushed. Its a wonderful story and I think this is my favorite story of Rachelβs Iβve read so far. I should also mention, each Rachel book I read makes me want to move to Seattle more and more. I actually visited in fall 2021 and wow, I do indeed love the city and Washington state. #novelebookreads β - Standalone you love #BombBooks2022 - Love hurts #AlltheBooksFeb22 - Favorite tropes #booknookbingo - Bring on the steam #WeatherGirl #RachelLynnSolomon #berkleyromance #berkley #romancereads #romancereader #romancetagram #booksandsnow #booksandnature #WeatherGirlBook (at Battery Park) https://www.instagram.com/p/CaKSY-QrJC7/?utm_medium=tumblr

I got on KU the other night and started reading The Match by Sarah Adams. Have you ever had a tiny moment that changed the course of your life, or made you want to change? In one scene, the MC pushes the other MC into the pool and my immediate thought was - oh my god, I would be so pissed because my phone would have been destroyed. Were their phones destroyed? The answer? Phones werenβt even mentioned. I want to live my life in a way where Iβm always ready to be pushed into a pool by my kids. Where my phone is down and I truly feel like my gaze is forward and Iβm ready for something new. You can read my full review on my blog! It sweet enemies to lovers book and it was so much fun to read! Though if youβre looking for depth and diversity - sadly you wonβt find it here.
