I think these are the final designs I’ll post, but I’ve been writing a lot and hopefully a comic shall come, slowly but surely. Happy to answer anything that won’t spoil it lol
(I had the vision for Doc, and I struggled so bad designing him. I mean, yiga don’t show any skin. And they wear a mask. Aaaaa that was hard I hope it’s okay tho!)

Purah somehow found herself in the role of Link's primary physician.
“Why?” The Royal Ancient Technology Lab's director had inquired, “I'm an engineer, not a physician!”
“The Sheikah created his kind in the era of the last Calamity,” the head of the royal family's medical team had responded ever so bluntly, “you are most equipped at dealing with him; being the kingdom's foremost authorities on ancient Sheikah technology.”
“That doesn't suddenly make me a doctor!” Purah had cried ever so not-bluntly. “Linky has conditions, needs medications, preventatives; what about if he's wounded in battle?!”
“The field team can handle wound care. You clearly know far more about his needs than we do.”
“If you just don't want to treat him, you could just say that!” Purah was trying not to raise her voice at the physician, seeing how his voice was calm and nearly monotonous, but the spirited researcher was having a difficult time quieting herself. Was the staff simply refusing to treat Link because of what he was? Were they sincerely concerned with their ability to provide adequate care for anyone non-Hylian? It was impossible to tell, given their insufferable monotony! “Enough people have said one thing to him and done the other, he at least deserves your honesty.”
“You have records.”
“No I don't!” She couldn't help a hand to her face. Why couldn't they just provide care to him? “Most of the records were destroyed; or stolen by the ancient Ordonians. And even if they weren't, this wasn't even considered a disease back then! Why are you making this hard!”
This time, the physician wouldn't even make eye contact with her.
“Would you at least give us the honor of allowing us to contact you should anything concerning arise?” Robbie was, in a word, more collected then Purah. He calmly stopped what he was doing and waltzed over, looking at only the physician.
“...If anything truly major happens, I suppose we could spare him a glance. I make no promises of if we could assist him.”
“Thank you, doctor.”
“...Hmph. Have a pleasant day.” Gathering the little he had placed down, the man in charge of the Royal Family's medical care turned and departed from the Royal Ancient Technology Laboratory.
“Now who does he think he is, shoving Linky off like that?” She crossed her arms and pouted, casting a side eye to her research partner.
“The highest doctor in all Hyrule would be my guess.”
“I'd like to say I can't believe he'd have the nerve, …but honestly, with the way things've been since the Queen passed, I'm not terribly surprised.”
“His Majesty has way too much on his plate to be able to strong-arm the staff into being kinder to our formerly-exiled friends, I'm afraid. Not that it's the monarch's job to be a nanny either.”
Purah shook her head. “No, I don't blame King Rhoam in the slightest. If anything, I blame the nobility for finding every single reason to encourage people to keep Linky and the others as distanced as possible. So what if Her Majesty had me treat an issue of his once? Using a bit of technology on a toddler under her's and a doctor's provision is vastly different from being a young man's entire medical staff!”
“‘Young man’ might be pushing it. He's what? Fourteen?.”
“He's a boy in mind and body, I know,” Purah admitted with a deep sigh. “But the Remnants consider their children to be adults once they've hit that point in puberty where children are possible. I dare not offend their queen.”
“You would think the medical staff would think the same. Link is technically our Zelda's equivalent to a neighboring kingdom. One with a very scary queen at that.” Robbie glanced over to the man in question, who silently hovered over his counterpart under Hylia as she cataloged parts from a disassembled Guardian. “If I were them, I'd keep Link on a fluffy cloud.”
“I'm surprised my sis will go anywhere near him, after the encounter she had with his mom.”
“I'd suppose it'd be hard to advise the Princess though, if you were always avoiding her bodyguard.
“Trueee, it's not like she's approaching Link specifically…” Purah pinched her bottom lip. “Think we can get some weight on ‘im?”
“Think the Castle can afford that much food? He already eats more than the squadron he was on when he was first knighted.”
“Think we should probably try… I know we know very little about how Hylian the Wolfbred still are, but I find it very hard to believe an active fourteen-year-old boy is supposed to be that slim.”
“Should we hire an Ordonian healer, maybe?”
“If we could find one. I know their population's kinda next to nothing now. Can't imagine there'd be a ton of healers that could either move up here or routinely make the trip.”
“He is the queen's son… maybe someone'd be willing to come out here just to keep him intact.”
“It'd be easier if we had more than like, two Wolfbred.”
“You know His Majesty relocated them out of concern for their safety.”
“Yeah, yeah. I know they're probably a lot safer and happier in Zora's Domain. It would just make it more plausible to get a healer up here.”
“You'd think he'd let us give him an exam since the medical staff won't do it?”
“I've been manhandling him since he was a puppy. He'll let me do quite a bit to him.”
“How about his head?”
“Oh, absolutely not. You know Linky won't let anyone touch him there.”
“Well, for the sake of all Hyrule, he better not hit his head.”
“For the sake of Hyrule, we need a better plan for this boy.”

I see so many people joke how Purah found the secret to immortality and didn’t even share it with Impa or Robbie and, while I think it’s funny, let me raise you this: Purah has trauma from the Great Calamity that has stunted her in the past
So hear me out. We know that Age of Calamity isn’t really canon but we can assume some things from it are, such as Purah and Robbie’s roles and personalities before everything happened. Purah was seen to be very aloof and maybe even too confident in their skills to stop Calamity Ganon, to be fair they had everything prepared and ready to stop it so why wouldn’t she be. But when things didn’t go to plan and the Great Calamity happened, hundreds of lives were lost, especially those who worked close with Purah like the champions, Link, and Zelda. This affected her greatly, causing her to realize what was really at stake and giving her a fear of death.
In the time after the Great Calamity, Purah began working on figuring out immortality, especially as she got older. She presented the idea to Impa and Robbie, hiding her true intentions under the guise of it ensuring they’d be there to help Link and Zelda when the time came. They both refused, as they had come to peace with the passage of time. This drove a bit of a steak between the three of them, which is why we don’t see them interact in Breath of The Wild
I believe in the events after Breath of The Wild and before Tears of The Kingdom Purah grappled more with her fears and trauma, especially after reconnecting with Impa and Robbie. They aren’t the same people she believed them to be before the Great Calamity and she isn’t either. I think Purah’s relationship with Josha is evidence of her accepting fate, passing down her knowledge to a successor
So yeah, I think Purah has more going on than just not wanting to share immortality :)

Bringing this fanfic back to life, now that grad school is FINISHED!!!
“You know, Purah,” Zelda’s lips upturned into a coy sort of smile. “I may only be fifteen, but even I can see that Robbie would be a good fit for your research team. He’s a bit…unconventional, I’ll admit–”
"Ridiculous. He’s ridiculous! He’s arrogant, irritatingly smart, and I can function just fine without him, princess. I don’t need an assistant, especially him. Let him start his own lab.” Purah scoffed as she set down the spherical relic.
“Purah, don’t be silly. You know that if it’s an order from Father that there’s no other alternative. Believe me.” the blonde girl sighed. “You should at least give him a chance. I’ve met him. I watched his project presentation on the guardian power system. You cannot deny he is a prodigy in his own right.”
Chestnut eyes narrowed. “Did Impa put you up to this?”
Technically Speaking is a deliciously fun, Pre-Calamity, banter-filled story told from the eyes of my two favorite Sheikah scientists. Get a unique look into an unusual love story that spans lifetimes.

Fic Promo: Song of a Champion
Now that @spacelemon has put up that amazing promo vid of the Mipha's Grace mod, it feels like a good time to do a little self-promo of my own, for something that I promise is related (otherwise I wouldn't be mentioning the vid; I am doing so in hopes of helping to get more eyeballs on it): a fic I've been writing since 2022, that is both inspired by and based on the mod. I've been lucky enough to have been allowed to play early versions of it, and was inspired to write a fic that retells BOTW with Mipha as the lead, taking cues from many plot points and armor redesigns present in the mod. If that's not enough to entice you, then please read on for my list of things that you might enjoy about this fic!
It's about Mipha Judging by the results of my poll, a lot of you like reading about Mipha! I've written a LOT about her over the past few years, but this is my most in-depth exploration of her yet. It's entirely centered on her, delving deep into her thoughts and feelings and exploring the myriad aspects of her personality as we follow her journey. Instead of Link waking up on the Great Plateau without his memories and being handed the responsibility of saving Hyrule, it's Mipha who must walk this path; unlike in the base game, she's not a fridged love interest for Link to be sad about, she's an active heroine in her own right with a monumental task ahead of her from the moment she wakes up, not to mention a lot of questions. How did she get there? Can she do this? What--and who--has she forgotten in her century-long slumber? How will she find her way in this strange new world she awakens to? What kind of bonds will she forge with the people she meets along her way? All these and more are tackled in great depth as she goes on her adventure, setting out with, initially, little more than her own courage, determination, and compassion. I've been told by many people that I write their favorite Mipha, and though this isn't my first time giving her a starring role, I fully believe this is my best character work for her so far. I've given her so much to do and act on and react to, exploring her rich inner life and personality and character FAR beyond just shipping stuff, and developed a lot of really fun friendships for her and gone heavy on her familial relationships as well. There is miphlink, but it's only one aspect, and Mipha herself is the shining star at the heart of everything.
2. It takes inspiration from Wind Waker Mainly, the concept of a character who is not the chosen one stepping up and proving themselves worthy and going on to save Hyrule. If you, like me, enjoyed that aspect of Wind Waker, then you'll like this story!
3. It plays with the lore in fun ways Do you like the older bits of lore from pre-Skyward Sword games? Like the Golden Goddesses and other deities? Then you'll like the bits of it I've weaved in!
4. It treats the NPCs with care, love, and nuance One of the things I'm proudest of about this story, that I've gotten praise from others for, is how the various NPCs are written. I've treated them all like people in their own right, who all have their own rich inner lives, schedules, interests, priorities, and feelings that don't revolve around the protagonist. Mipha befriends most of them, yes, but that's because she treats them with compassion and kindness too. Nobody is shallow here, I've gone to great pains to illustrate a world filled with people all living their own lives that intersect with Mipha's journey in various ways, and allowed people to just be human and make mistakes and have doubts but ultimately just be people. There's a lot of emphasis on Mipha's relationships with her family, and I've certainly won praise for my depiction of these dynamics, but also a ton of friendships being formed and explored, and people have told me that I made certain characters interesting and likable to them where the game failed to do so.
5. It has awesome fight scenes BOTW is a game with a lot of combat, so anyone novelizing it better be good at writing that kind of scene. Fortunately, I am! This is an action-packed story, not just for its own sake, but to show the dangerous world Mipha is traveling through and the challenges she has to face as she ventures into each Divine Beast and cleanses them of their respective Blights. I write really fast-paced action that also shows the characters' mindsets while fighting, and strikes a balance between showing off their strengths and that they're up to the challenge, while also respecting their opponents and demonstrating why the Champions of a hundred years ago fell to these things, why NPCs fear certain monsters. And speaking of respecting opponents, I've taken stuff from Age of Calamity as well as some of my own inventions, to beef up the boss fights, a certain area, and make every Divine Beast threatening (we all know how scary Medoh wasn't in-game).
6. It has beautiful prose/descriptions But you don't have to just take my word for it! Here's a sample from the rough draft of chapter 42!
Shards of light drifted across her floor, leaves caught in the current of clouds flowing over the moon. Mipha took a moment to watch them before closing the door behind herself. The water in her sleeping pool murmured a melody of rest and relaxation after a long day, calling her to it, but she ignored it for now. She’d done all her preparations for tomorrow, downed a warm elixir crafted from a few hearty lizards, and now only one thing remained to do before going to bed. It wasn’t a need, as the other tasks had been, but a want. Nothing wrong with that. She crossed the room to the old chest that lay tucked beneath her window, opening the lid with a whining creak from the aged hinges. A folded length of fabric the color of spilt starlight lay atop the item she sought; Mipha moved it aside. Her breath catching, she withdrew the armor beneath and held it up to the softly swaying illumination of the moon outside and the luminous stone lamps within.
All in all, I think this fic is some of my best work, and shouldn't be missed if you're a Mipha fan like I am (she is my favorite Zora, so if it's okay I'd like to use this as a belated submission for that Zora May prompt). She truly is the star of the show, with so much to offer as a lead character, moving through a world treated with depth and care. If you're in the market for a BOTW retelling that does something different, something no other retelling has done, and does it really well, then give it a chance! You can read it here on AO3. :3

I don't understand the logic behind Sheikah biology but do they all just shrink the older they get? More or less bringing this up with Impa and Robbie because Robbie in BotW/TotK has to be at the very least 4 feet tall based on Link's canon height
And despite it being non-canon, AoC brought up the concept of what Robbie would have looked like 100 years before BotW and if he were to stand up straight he's a little over 6ft tall minus the pompadour
AND when Impa ages up her fucking head mass increases as well! she has the same proportions as Purah does in AoC, who, despite de-aging due to her experiment and then aging up to an adult in TotK (possibly the same age she was at 100 years ago) her body remained mostly the same aside from the fact her head was massive when she de-aged back to her 6 year old self at the start but I guess spontaneous macrocephaly just runs in the family and came later for Impa than it did for her sister

I wanted to do that since 2020, and here it is - reference sheets for The Legend of Zelda characters from my crossover!
Originally I wanted this post to feature more characters, but when I noticed that making references takes too much time, I decided to limit myself to the major character and some secondary characters that have already been introduced.

Linktober Day 14, akkala skyview tower!
Part of the duo’s jobs as Purah’s interns are to help with the remapping project of Hyrule after the Upheaval. Link’s the only little man sturdy enough to WANT to be flung out of a modified human canon attached to a cable, I think. (Introducing part of the research team! We have Jerrin, a hylian-sheikah researcher; bilson, a rito bolson employee; and truckson, a tarry town goron.)
Want to see more of my TOTK AU where zelda doesnt go back in time? Check out this master post:
And my patreon if you wanna drop like two dollars for my sketchbook :0

Technically Speaking
A Pre-Calamity PurRobbie Fanfic
“So, Hero , how about you make yourself useful and climb that ridiculous apparatus for us? Maybe check for a terminal?” She thrust the Sheikah Slate out toward the wide-eyed knight. “Me?” “I don’t see any other heroes here?” “Hey!” Robbie crossed his arms, snorting. “I beg your pardon, Dr. Purah!” She shot him a withering glance. “Oh please. Join the Imperial Guard at fourteen and pull the Master Sword at fifteen. Then come talk to me.” She rolled her eyes and turned back to a mortified, red-faced Link. “Well?!” Link just stared at her, confused. Zelda nudged him with a giggle. “She wants you to climb the tower and bring the Slate with you, Link.” “Oh. Yeah, sure.” Link cleared his throat, looking down at the glowing tablet. “What–what am I supposed to do, exactly?” “I’ll go with you,” Robbie laughed. “I might not be the Master Sword-wielding hero, but I come in handy every now and then.” When Link shot a worried glance toward the princess, he laughed again. “They’ll be fine, Link. If any bokoblins show up, the two of them will be sure to talk them to death first.” “Shut up, Robbie!” Purah shot back. Link didn’t quite mask his suppressed grin fast enough before he responded, “Yeah, all right. Let’s go.”

Thank you, @red-gekkouga and @akkalatechlabs for giving me the idea to make Jerrin the scapegoat for my (and Clyde's) trolling😆

In fact, Clyde began to dislike her for a very trivial reason: she was very strict with him, did not allow him to touch or even take a closer look at the objects in the laboratory. Robbie's revelations about Jerrin's tantrums added fuel to the fire.
More of this coming soon in Chapter 3...
Or maybe, not so soon because I'm extremely busy with my other projects.
I hate Jerrin, but I didn't know she was ABUSIVE! Was it because of the whole Cherry thing or did I miss something-
[ RUBS HANDS TOGETHER ]
I have hatred because of this.
