weird thing happened.

used to like this guy in high school. he was into baseball and wore mostly sporty clothes. short hair — though i knew he had curly hair when he grew it out and i liked it.

fast forward to college. i’m over him at this point. i get a crush on a new guy who’s very hipster-y, paints his nails, dangly earring, curly hair, etc etc.

high school guy has somehow found his way into my new hipster social circle. i tell him all about the hipster guy because i can’t help the vain satisfaction of talking about another guy now that high school guy seems interested in me. bear with me.

fast forward a few years, things change, haven’t talked to either one of them because they both moved to new york city for different reasons, separately.

there was one day they met each other (one of them shared it on social) and i was like. omg. it’s old crush and more recent crush in the SAME room. how did this crossover episode HAPPEN. like i know it’s because they had a mutual friend but. STILL.

anyway fast forward like a year and my old high school crush has now completely transformed style. it’s like a pokemon evolution. he has grown out his curly hair, paints his nails, and wears a dangly earring just like the more recent crush.

i feel like high school me....told the future?? how did they evolve into the same fucking person i don’t get it. i feel like...i have no idea how but i feel like i accidentally cast a spell but im not advanced enough to know the logic of it yet. wild
