Wanted (Boyd x Huey) - Chapter 2/2

After sitting and talking with Boyd for a while, which was mostly just Huey ranting about Senior Woodchuck things while Boyd stared at him, Huey decided to ask him something.

"You know, it would be nice to have you with me when I'm telling my family we're boyfriends now," Huey said. "Do you think you can stay for dinner?"

"I'll have to ask my dad, but yeah," Boyd replied.

"Speaking of your dad, are you gonna tell him about us?" Huey asked.

"Yeah, I think so," Boyd said. "I don't know about the Drakes though. Not yet, anyways. Doofus would get pretty mad if he knew I'm dating the brother of his worst enemy."

"Yeah," Huey said. "Now, we gotta go ask Ms. Bailey if you can stay. Come on."

Boyd followed Huey down the stairs and into the kitchen, where Ms. Bailey was cooking.

"Ms. Bailey," Huey began, opening the door. The older woman was stirring a bowl of something. Judging by the pots and strainers on the stove, Huey guessed she was making spaghetti.

"What, Huey?" She responded.

"I was wondering if Boyd could stay for dinner?"

"As long as his guardians allow it."

"Alright. Boyd, call your dad."

Boyd clicked on Gyro's number and it rang a few times before Gyro picked up.

"Boyd? Do I need to pick you up?" Gyro asked.

"No. I was wondering if I could stay with the Duncans for dinner?"

"What does Mr. McDowell say?"

"We didn't ask him. We asked Ms. Bailey."

"Well what did she say?"

"She said okay, as long as you say okay."

"Well I say okay. Just make sure you finish your English report when you get home."

"Okay," Boyd said. "Bye Dad."

"Bye."

"He says okay," Boyd told Ms. Bailey, who nodded in approval.

"Also, Ms. Bailey?" Huey asked.

"Hm?"

"Uncle Donald is having dinner here tonight, right?"

"Yes, dear, why do you ask?"

"Just wondering," Huey said, before retreating upstairs with Boyd.

When time for dinner did come, Huey's heart was pounding. He knew he had to tell everyone. He was fairly sure they would all be okay with it, but the possibilities of otherwise haunted his mind.

"Hey, it'll be okay," Boyd said, noticing how Huey's eyebrows were a little furrowed.

Huey looked at Boyd and smiled. "Yeah, I think that, but, you know."

Boyd nodded. He did know.

When Huey reached the table, he noticed how full it had become. Compared to when Huey and his brothers first arrived, the table only hosted six or seven people a day. Now at the ends of the table sat Scrooge and Bailey. Webby, Dewey, Louie, and Huey on one side of the table, and Della, Donald, Daisy, May, and June on the other. Launchpad didn't eat with the family.

The empty chair next to Huey would be put to use today, Boyd sitting in it, hands folded by his lap.

Dewey and Webby were busy poking at each other and May and June were talking to each other and everyone was too busy to notice Louie winking at Huey and whispering "Good luck."

Huey just looked back at Boyd and smiled. Boyd smiled back.

The beginning of the meal was relaxed, talking about everyone's day. The focus eventually landed on Boyd and Huey.

"So what did you two get up to?" Della asked.

"Um," Huey began, looking at Louie for support. He was not about to tell his mother he made out with Boyd in his bedroom.

"Actually, Huey has something to tell everyone," Louie announced. Now, the rest of the eyes fell onto Huey.

"Um, well, I just wanted to tell everyone," Huey began. "That me and Boyd are… boyfriends… now."

There was a moment of silence where Huey debated his life choices before-

"Yeah! That's my son!" Della exclaimed.

Chatter started around the table.

"Aww, you two are so cute together," Donald said. Daisy clasped her hands together and smiled at them.

"I called it Webby, I called it," Dewey said, shaking Webby.

"Yeah yeah, I know," Webby replied. "Also, about time Huey."

Huey blushed and looked down after Webby's comment.

"Good choice lad," Scrooge said. "And you too Boyd, you two will be a great couple."

"Well, that explains a bit," Ms. Bailey stated.

"Boyd, you won't regret dating him! He's awesome!" June said, enthusiastically.

"If you break his heart, we'll pour glitter in your vents!" May said, with the same amount of enthusiasm.

Boyd smiled awkwardly. A weird threat, but most certainly a threat. He noted to himself to never anger those girls.

Huey smiled up at Boyd.

Boyd smiled back. He'd made the right choice.

So when it comes to shipping B.O.Y.D. with one of the Duck Boys, I much prefer shipping the definitely real boy with the eldest triplet. But this is a cute pairing and I can see why others enjoy it

After all, Louie did meet B.O.Y.D. before Huey did and I can see the two caring for another if they did end up together

And it’s kinda funny, but even though I don’t ship them, I DO have this ONE really short Louie x B.O.Y.D. story that would take place on their wedding day

But honestly it’s not much of a Louie x BOYD story and more of a “Louie interacts with Doofus and isn’t sure if he should be afraid or not” story

So it’s just laying on the back burner in my mind

Louie calls Donald mentally Dad, he sees him more like his father than his uncle, he loves Dela but he sees her more as a distant aunt than as his mother, of course he will not tell anyone, he has a reputation to maintain.

Donald is not surprised when someone tells him the secret identity of Darkwing and Gizmoduck; he already knew them (hello retired superhero right here) actually finds it funny and frustrating that Fenton has a list of people who know his identity.

HDLW have a chat group along with Boyd, Lena, Violet and Gosalyn where they usually talk about theories (plus Webby) about their Uncle Donald.

What is a QPR?

Wanted (Boyd x Huey) - Chapter 1/2

Hanging out with Boyd was one of Huey's all time favorite things. Everything about him was likable, from his smooth black hair and tan skin to his kindness and orderliness to his passions of Robotics. Boyd was pretty perfect, especially for a fifteen year old.

Huey wished he was that perfect. His blonde hair, confusing personality, and Junior Woodchuck Guidebook could never compare to the astound Boyd Gearloose-Drake.

So it was a surprise to hear Boyd talk about things he didn't like in himself.

They were in Huey's room, leaning against a wall. Louie would never let them sit on his bed, but it was awkward to sit with your head touching the roof, so the floor was always the best option.

"I just feel like no one ever really wanted me," Boyd said. They were previously talking about family, Huey asked about how Boyd felt about his. Boyd responded negatively, and Huey asked why.

Huey felt his stomach drop. He felt bad for asking, but maybe it felt good for Boyd to get it off his chest. Huey was never good at social things, he was good at logical things. Science was his best friend.

"Oh," Huey said.

"It's just– Gearloose abandoned me. He didn't want me, probably never did. He didn't want to be my dad. The childcare system didn't do all that well either, and I ended up with Mark Beate. At first I thought it was perfect, a nice guy who was also a billionaire, but after he was done taking pictures he neglected me."

Huey's eyes dropped to the ground and he played with his fingers, still listening to Boyd, of course.

"So to the childcare system again, where I ended up only being there to fix the broken family of the Drakes. Yeah, mom and dad are nice, but it feels like I'm only there so Doofus isn't spoiled anymore. Like they're using me."

Huey looked at Boyd, who had slight tears in his eyes. But Huey remained silent.

"And then Gearloose took me back half time, he apologized for abandoning me, but it still feels half-baked. But I still gotta keep it together, I feel like someone programmed me to do everything perfectly, but there was a glitch and I'm just chaos underneath. I'm being tossed from home to home, because no one really wants me."

Huey looked up at Boyd. Boyd's eyes were watering, a single tear rolling down his face.

"That's not true, Boyd," Huey said.

"What?"

"People care for you. At least I do," Huey said. "I know it doesn't make up for the way you feel, but I care about you a lot. You're my best friend, I want the best for you."

Boyd smiled. "Huey, I-"

"And if you ever need a shoulder to cry on, I'm here for you. If you ever need a place to hide, our doors are wide open. You always have me."

Boyd was smiling really widely, and Huey stared back into his eyes. As a few moments passed, Boyd's smile died down.

"Can I kiss you?" Boyd asked.

Huey couldn't explain what he felt after hearing those words. An explosion in his stomach, a fire on his face, he knew he was blushing hard, from his nose to his ears which felt like pure lava.

"W-what?" Huey asked, watching Boyd's hands as they made their way onto Huey's jawline, gently grasping his earlobes.

"Can I kiss you?" Boyd repeated, remaining completely calm in the situation Huey was practically dying in. There was simply no way that Boyd was asking him this. No way.

"I- I don't really know how," Huey responded. He now cursed himself for saying that, it was embarrassing that he'd never kissed anyone before. Even more embarrassing that he mentioned it.

"That's okay, I can teach you," Boyd replied. Somehow, this simple statement made Huey even more flustered. How was Boyd so calm?

Huey put a hand to one that was holding his face.

"So, is that a yes or a no?" Boyd asked.

"Um, yes," Huey responded. I cannot believe this is happening.

His heart was pounding so loudly he thought Boyd could hear it as he leaned in and his lips met Boyd's.

Fireworks were going off in his brain as he pulled away, looking down at the ground as Boyd took his hands away. He brought a hand to his lips, savoring the taste of Boyd's lips against his. His blush faded down, but it was still there.

"So-" Boyd began, before getting cut off.

"Can we do it again?" Huey asked. He was about to die from embarrassment, but at this point it didn't matter.

Boyd smiled. "Yeah."

He brought his hands back to Huey's face, this time resting them under his jaw and on his upper neck. Huey grabbed onto Boyd's elbows and leaned back in to kiss him again.

"Huey, stop leaving your homework on the- oh."

Huey's panic alarms went off in his brain and he fiercely pulled away from Boyd, turning around quickly to look at his brother, Louie.

Boyd threw his head in his hands, looking in the opposite direction.

"Learn to knock!" Huey said, face turning red yet again.

Louie's mouth was wide open. "This is my room too! And if you're gonna make out with Boyd, have the common decency to go to another room! There's over a hundred rooms in this house and you chose the one you share with your two brothers!"

Louie had a point, but Huey wasn't gonna let him win. "I didn't really know this was gonna happen, and you should still knock when I'm in here with a friend! Plus- the door was closed for a reason!"

"You know what? Go on with it, just know I'm telling everyone."

"What? No! Don't tell anyone!" Huey screamed.

"What are you gonna do about it?"

"What will make you not tell anyone?"

"Hmm, your allowance for the next year."

"What? No!" Huey said.

"Well then, I guess I gotta go tell Uncle Donald and Aunt Daisy," Louie replied.

"Okay, okay," Huey said. "How about I give you thirty dollars and you let me tell them myself?"

"Add you making me one of your famous soup-and-salads to that and you've got a deal," Louie said.

"Okay, deal," Huey said.

Boyd picked his head back up from his hands and watched Huey take out thirty dollars from his drawer, and hand the bills to Louie.

"I'll make you lunch tomorrow," Huey said. "And I'll tell everyone myself at dinner."

Louie smirked. "Now, go make out with your boyfriend in another room so Dewey doesn't catch you next."

"We are not– ugh, whatever, c'mon Boyd," Huey said, dragging Boyd out by the hand.

When they were in the hallway, Huey spoke again.

"Sorry about having to tell everyone," He said.

“Uh, yeah it’s okay,” Boyd said. He was sort of dazed, and the sound of people knowing wasn’t a bad idea. Wait, were they boyfriends now? What were they? Boyd was so confused. But it was okay.

“So,” Huey said, slowing down a little. “Are you, my boyfriend?”

Boyd looked away in embarrassment. “If you want me to be,” He replied.

Huey smiled. “I think that’d be nice.”

Boyd tried to stop himself from giggling. “So, you have to tell everyone, I guess.”

“That’s okay, I want people to know.”

Boyd smiled, feeling something warm in his heart. I guess this is how it feels to be wanted.
