This whole debate about where Link lives is funny because:
1) there's nowhere else where it's implied that he lives (and he needs to live somewhere ??? Lol. Also, he can sleep in Zelda's bed, but not in any other NPC's bed)
2) it is canon that he's practically always with Zelda (so it isn't practical for him to live far away from her)
3) it is also canon that Zelda made that secret room to concentrate better when she works alone (why would she need an extra room if she lives alone?)
Edit to add: 4) she hid her gift for Link outside the house so he wouldn't find it until after their investigations (I'm citing the text from Zelda's diary). If he doesn't live in the Hateno house there would be no risk of him finding it and no need to hide it outside
I think Nintendo just made it ambiguous because they'd rather being killed than making a main character ship canon, lol
I believe I never shared any of the legend of Zelda art I made or I am making. Some are from last year while there’s very recent ones as I am playing totk!
◍Mattress is uncomfortable because it's literally just hay
◍Smells like hay and horse
◍bed bug breeding ground
◍head lice breeding ground
Zora's Domain Bed
4/10 - would recommend if desperate
◍looks like a building inspector's worst nightmare
◍Sleepwalkers are going to become sleep swimmers
◍Cold
◍NO COVERS/DUVET?? Prison. Only lurelin gets let off about it because it's not surrounded by cold ass water
Lurelin Village Bed
6/10 - would recommend
◍looks comfy enough
◍my only issue is where are the blankets? The duvets, even?? I know lurelin village houses have no doors but like I like to curl into a ball, cause severe future back problems for myself and get warm, ok?
I desperately need someone to take my spine apart and put it back in place like rebuilding a failed Lego 1x1 skyscraper/sword please this is a cry for help
Kakariko Village Bed
10/10 - would ALWAYS recommend
◍Comfy
◍Reliable and sturdy bedframe
◍Silk bedsheets that are always fresh
◍Literally THE perfect bed
I, personally, would KILL for this bed. I would strike down calamity ganon himself.
Paya's Bed
9/10 - would recommend for speed runners
◍Impa would get off her cushion and beat your ass if she ever caught you sleeping in her granddaughters bed
That's it
Rito Village Bed 1
5/10 - would recommend
◍Would have to do some parkour to get on
◍Try not to roll over, otherwise you'll be sleeping on the floor with a bruised arm or something
After a few days in Kakariko Village, Link brought Zelda to his house in Hateno. She was so eager to finally see it but on the other hand Link was nervous and did his best to hide his insecurity. He was a little embarrassed and wanted to know what Zelda would think of the house before admitting that he had actually bought it for her.
"Zelda is a Princess" he told himself. "She is used to castles and luxury... This house is smaller than her royal bedroom! "
But no. Zelda's reaction surprised him. Pleasantly surprised him. In fact, his nervousness level cranked up quite a bit 🤭
Little did Link know that Zelda's most secret wish was to share a cozy little house...with him ❤️
And the best thing about Link's house? Yes, you know what it is... There is only one bed 😉
You know, I actually did make myself an upload schedule, but I already promised myself to finally post that Trigun comic Ive been pushing back on Sunday, but at the same time I gotta drop this or Imma not be able to concentrate on that paper I hafta write til Monday.
And, so, here we are, my Paya and Tauro headcanons post cos my brain went into overdrive again. These two just fit perfectly in that “Important enough characters to get some background info and feel for their personality, but literally leaves enough open to just dump thousands of hcs on them” category. So, yeah, after thinking and flashing them out in my mind a lot, and eventually thinking about their relationship, made me think up a looooot.
I don't think Nintendo really thought the math through when they made Paya Impa's granddaughter.
Like. Impa, according to Creating a Champion, is roughly 20 when the Calamity happens. Paya is roughly eighteen in BotW. That means Paya was born 82 years after the Calamity. If her Mom was like 40, that would mean her mom was born 42 years after the Calamity.
Which meant Impa had her when she was 62 years old.
Okay, okay, maybe her mom was a little older? Let's make Paya's mom fifty. That means Impa was fifty-two when she had her. I suppose it's feasible, but let's be real, most mothers have their babies in their 20s to late 30s, occasionally early 40s. To have a pregnancy in your 50s is so uncommon you make a list of oldest mothers. Seriously. I looked it up.
Anyway, Paya definitely should've been a great-grandkid lol.
