Bucky held onto the edge of his seat until his knuckles were white and kept his gaze firmly on the floor. When the ride stopped with their car at the very top, he threw a terrified glance his way. 

“Look,” Steve told him. He shook his head. “Bucky, trust me, okay? Look.” 

Bucky peeled his gaze away from the dirt-stained floor and peeked over the edge of the car. Almost immediately, he gasped and scooted closer to the edge, wonder etched across his face. Steve couldn’t look away from him. He wanted to paint him. Wanted to trace the way his hair fell across his cheeks, to capture the cautious curve of his lips as he carefully peered over the edge of the cab. Wanted to forever remember the way his hand automatically grasped for Steve’s when the wind caused the cab to sway. 

They both looked down. Bucky took his hand back. Steve tucked his own under his thigh to keep from reaching out again. This wasn’t a date. It didn’t matter what he wanted.

Small "What is going on in the bkdk this week" update

I am still trying to write a full on summary of the bkdk history in fandom, but for now, what is going on this week?? It is now the 6/10/22 and this week had been quite interesting!

Monday 3 October was international boyfriend day and Noguchi, one of Horikoshi's previous assistants, decided to bless us with this fanart, which was the most bkdkbk fanart he has ever posted:

The number 5 was quite interesting and some people have speculated it could be tarot related given some of the tarot references in BNHA. In particular the fifth card is teh Hierophant which apparently symbolizes: Marriage, alliance, captivity, servitude; by another account, mercy, and goodness; inspiration.

Later, the next day, we have this twitter. This is from Kobayashi Ryota who is the actor who plays Bakugou in the Ultra Stage musical (more info on the musical here). The tweet reads "I purchased the last volume of Heroaca. I've read it". The last volume is volume 36, where the famous chapter 362 is located. The additional video is the actor playing a romantic song dedicating it to volume 36.

The same day, Noguchi's mutual on twitter Hidero Mashi (who works on another work: "Prince of Stride") comments on Kobayashi's tweet, and later on Noguchi and Hidero Mashi ends up in a twitter space talking Bkdk. (just know that Hidero Mashi has been drawing bkdk fanarts for quite a while, in the past).

They both draw Bkdk dancing (here is Hidero's art and here is Noguchi's art), and Hidero even tries to (unsuccessfully) explain to Noguchi what the omegaverse is.

These are some of my most favourite fics to read for britin in this qaf universe, I have tagged one story but please check out their story archive to see what else they've written. Some are continuing on from canon and some become AU. All these wonderfully talented writers capture their voices so, so well and for me it feels very realistic and true to how their story would continue. So I wish you well on your reading endeavour and make sure to give these amazing people lots of love in their comments because fic writing and all writing in general is such an art form and definitely not something I could do!

I would also suggest checking out the writers bookmarks where you can find other stories and fellow writers they love so you discover new stuff that way also.

I'm actually so behind in reading myself as I'm usually too busy giffing them I haven't had time to catch up, so I will be flooding their comments as soon as I can. Thanks for asking about The Poison Devotion in Me! That was such a fun one to write and I'm still so amazed that @kocuria blessed it with such great art <3

This one was pure self-indulgence. I wanted Steve to be mad and vengeful and petty and most of all violent about it all. It actually started from a @steverogersbingo prompt, Jack Rollins.

I didn't know what to write about for his character but then remembered that I adore outsider povs. And using Rollins as a lens to see the raw violence Steve metes out made for such a fun time!

The circumstances of his injuries (and just his character in general) also let me write it from this somewhat detached, strange fascination that focused on the dichotomy of how Rollins (and the public/history) sees Steve, and the less pretty and quite bloody reality of him.

I'm still fond of the way that thread follows from the opening line about how pre-serum Steve looked in a photograph, and how the rest of the piece kind of expounds on that concept.

Hi I’d like to request a JJBA matchup with a small fic pls! I’m 19, transmasc (he/they) and bi with no specific gender preference. I’m also British (bri ish hehe).

I’m 5’3 and have very long curly/wavy black hair, dyed bangs, pale skin and freckles. I have 6 piercings and I’m hoping to get some tattoos soon!

I love 70s and 80s music (particularly Queen, Aerosmith, AC/DC, Dire Straits and Sex Pistols). I also love cats, art, history, cartoons and anime! I’ve been an artist for 7 years now.

I’m currently volunteering in archaeology for charity and I’m hoping to study archaeology at university next year to ultimately become an archaeologist! I am also bilingual as I have recently become fluent in Spanish, and I’m now learning French, Russian, Italian, Polish and Japanese!

I have autism and BPD so often lose control of my emotions but I always try my best to make sure people understand I would never intentionally upset them. I can be quite easily calmed down with comforts such as hugs, music and special interests.

In friend groups I’m always either the mom friend or chaotic older sibling friend. Depending on how well I know the other person I can be very awkward at first but then start to come out of my shell and become very loud and eccentric. Some friends would also describe me as funny, exuberant or outgoing. Even though I can be irritable and jealous quite easily, I also show lots of love to people I care about when I can, often forgetting to take care of myself in the process.

I’m fairly interested in astrology (I’m a Scorpio) and I have recently developed an interest in spiritual work such as tarot and witchcraft. I also have a gothic/emo style and love to stand out in a crowd to help push myself out of my comfort zone.

The sunlight was pouring through your blinds and perfectly making little sun lines on your bed, leading your eyes to find Abbacchio curled up next to you, his purple lipstick smudged and long hair pulled into a lazy ponytail. He had a smile on his face as he gripped the sheets, clearly having a good dream. You smiled at him and pressed your lips to his cheek, making his long eyelashes flutter open. When he spotted you, he smiled and pulled you down next to him, making you rest your head on his shoulder. "Good morning," he yawned as he squeezed you close. "Morning." You said back, wrapping your arm around his waist. Mornings like these were perfect. There was nothing to bother you and nothing that could ruin this. Not even your cat who had somehow snuck into your room and laid on both of your laps causing you to fall asleep all over again.
