My least favorite Pro-Palestine argument/quote is “It was never about the hostages.”
Fuck you. Fuck you for downplaying October 7. Fuck you for ignoring the hostages who were murdered in captivity, ignoring the women in Hamas’s grasp who’ve stated they were raped. The one year old in custody. The people who are being tortured and slowly dying.

It is said that Hamas can’t count how many hostages are a live or dead but can accurately know the exact number of civilian deaths.
How the hell is that possible?!

Who are the hostages still held by Hamas?
On October 7, 2023, 253 Israelis and foreign nationals were kidnapped to Gaza by Hamas and gazan civilians. Since then, 105 were released in a prisioner exchange deal, 4 were released by Hamas and 3 were rescued.
However, 134 remain in captivity (4 of those were kidnapped prior to 2023). A recent investigation has concluded that more than a fifth of the hostages are dead and the fate of some other hostages remains unknown. This video explains how doctors determine which hostages are dead, based on the nature of their injury and by analyising footage and the victims' last phone calls. Additionally, during the operation in Gaza, the IDF has recovered the bodies of a few victims and returned to their families for burial.
Since I couldn't find this all in one place, I've compiled a list of: 1) hostages who are presumed alive; 2) hostaged whose death has been reported/confirmed; 3) hostages who were released or rescued. In the group of hostages presumed to be alive who haven't been released, the youngest is 1-year-old Kfir Bibas and the oldest hostage is Iraqi-born 85-year old Shlomo Mansour.
As we learn more information, I'll continue to update this post.
They need to come back home. I'm hoping for more successful rescue operations soon. Keep them in your thoughts.

Note
You’re an idiot if you think Israel is trying to prevent civilian deaths. People have been killed by snipers. Children have been killed by snipers. You literally can’t shoot multiple children in the head accidentally with a sniper rifle.
have you heard of knock bombs? i have. theyre a specific type of bomb created by israel to knock on the building before destruction so people have a chance to get out.
have you heard about the public announcements? i have. israel has called houses and sent texts and rained fliers out of the damned sky telling the people of the gaza strip where exactly they will bomb and when. those who call have specific training on palestinian culture and all speak their arabic dialect.
have you heard about the attempted ceasefires? i have. earlier in this conflict ceasefires were attempted. less than half an hour after the first one was put into effect hamas sent rockets into tel aviv.
when palestinians die, it’s good pr for hamas. they don’t care that their people are starving to death despite the monumental amount of aid theyre receiving (including american mre’s, which are of higher quality than typical aid packages) because they can commandeer the food and sell it back to their people. however israel is inventing entirely new ways to conduct warfare just to keep palestinians from dying unnecessarily. do you think america rained down fliers on the people of iraq, afghanistan, korea, vietnam? do you think the same of putin in ukraine? churchill in dresden? knock bombs are an israeli practice, no one else has ever used them in regular warfare.
reconsider your position or shut the fuck up. you’re wasting everyone’s time.

It's been six months.
The streets are covered in yellow ribbon. In every corner you can see a poster. A face.
Bring them home, they scream. Get our loved ones home.
Their calls go up to the sky, their cries echoing on empty streets. Wishing that someone, maybe, will hear it. That someone will be able to help.
They do the best they can, but it's not enough. Never enough.
Their prayers go unanswered.
There's not a single person in Israel who doesn't know someone that was kidnapped - or died - at least on some level.
Around two years ago, a kid graduated my highschool and joined the army. Six months ago he was kidnapped to Gaza.
I didn't know him then. I do now.
He's been there for six months. They've all been there for six bloody months. Six months, in which we don't even know if they are still alive. Six months, in which we don't know if they get food, water, medicine.
THERE ARE STILL 132 HOSTAGES IN GAZA.
We will not stop until they are all out.
Bring them home. Now.

when they say "sceasefire" they mean Israel should dismantle their military and sit silently while Hamas slaughters them. they mean stop trying to rescue the hostages because they're "treated well". they mean stop the violence on one side because they're "colonisers" and globalize the violence of the other side because "you don't get to choose how they resist". they mean "from the river to the sea, Palestine will be the home of only Palestinians, the (((white colonisers))) will be expelled and murdered for their (((crimes)))".
when we say "sceasefire", we mean Netanyahu should stop roleplaying as a dictator and get a proper sceasefire deal. we mean the circle of violence and bloodshed must come to an end. we mean that we want our hostages home safe. we mean we want to live in peace without fearing Hamas. we mean PEACE.
that's the difference. don't tokenize our words, we are not blind to the violence of either side, not like you are blind to the violence of Hamas.

According to the New York Times, 1/5 of the Israeli hostages are dead.
Aka kidnapped and then murdered in captivity by Hamas. Each one of their deaths is a war crime.
If these people were kidnapped from anywhere else in the world, you would all be rioting and screaming for their release. Yet people here are silent when it comes to the Israeli hostages.
I guess the fact that the ICRC and UN have failed the Jewish people (yet) again doesn’t help…
-This is also a friendly reminder that According to the ICJ trial in Haag, Hamas has less than a month to *Bring them all home*
