You know what’s funny? How I can say that I headcanon a character as somewhere on the ace spectrum and/or aro spectrum, and within minutes I am being treated as if I am somehow very unintelligent and know nothing of the world.

I kind of wish we could talk about racism in the community (rampant occurrence) without getting sidetracked, because it comes from all sides. I made a post about it and about the straight up fetishization we go through before and it blew up but to this day, I don't know the answer to this problem, aside from doing the work to become antiracist, which is constant work, not just "oh I'm now antiracist".

As far as white people are concerned there isn't one group better than the other, all of you have work to do, I don't care if you're lesbian, bi, trans etc, if you're white, you're privileged.

It doesn't make one group any less racist to say "what about this other group instead?"

As a person of colour I have a hard time feeling safe around any white person, because I don't know them, I don't know how they're going to act and I have my own experiences with all groups, really don't think that one is better than the other.

I love love love that every time before the ark, we only ever see Vash horrified and fighting against who he is. Which, honestly, is understandable when you've been traumatized by what you can do and don't understand anything about yourself! And the only thing fueling Vash before now was fear and anger in itself--the same thing fueling Knives.

But then it shifts, doesn't it? Because a man like him, a man like Wolfwood, is worth fighting for. It's worth finding faith in himself and a true love for humanity--fighting for it beyond just keeping Rem's dream alive. He's a long way away from self-love, if he can ever find it, but he's found love elsewhere to carry him through.

Honestly the premise "what if there were clones who didn't look or act like clones" reminds me of ideas like "what if there was a sith but they were Good" or "what if there was a Jedi but they were Bad". Like when little kids see a monster destroying everyone and theyre like "what if there was a nice monster who's kind and good! :o". Juvenile is what I'm saying. It's boring and juvenile.

an interesting point i remembered that i will tack on to that last post is that lime gets cocky post-timeskip. the m-34th trained him enough so that he can spar with her (as seriously as they can as friends) and win, and from what he sees from her power now/remembers seeing from her power before, he considers himself on-par with her.

so he can take mochi in a fight. and 98% of things mochi can take in a fight, he can too.

but at some point they encounter that 2% of things that lime cant do. and for the first time he gets to see the raw unhindered destructive power of the cat witch in her prime, and its that oh-too-familiar humbling feeling. to see the kind of shit shes capable of just makes the whole guild fall silent

and its STILL true that he can take her in a fight, which gives him comfort, but he realizes that the ONLY reason thats still true is because of the witch's oath of not taking life

if you wanna write and/or post a fanfic but are worried that no one will like it.

do not be worried. at all.

because even if no one else is interested, YOU are. you enjoy this idea. you're passionate about this concept. you should write for YOU, not for potential critics.

and even besides that, i guarantee you that there's at least 1 other person out there who would also enjoy your fic. it's essentially statistically impossible for you to be the only person on the planet who thinks the way you do, and enjoys the themes and ideas and characters and settings that you do.

write it. post it. take pride in the fact that you created something that you value. your fic exists, and that in of itself is amazing.
