Yeah no upon reflection it's a little bonkers how people will see something mildly weird in media and go 'lol was the creator high' or 'this is just a metaphor for drugs' and it's reductive as hell but with Sly it's literally and unironically about a g-rated cocaine cocaine ring that just happens to involve the corpse of a giant robot bird

the effects of the "spices" in Sly 2 are explicitly: 1. Makes someone more vulnerable so suggestion, and 2. More prone to violence. That is literally just a combo of cocaine and rohypnol. The plot of Sly 2 is actually kinda nuts, something you might hear in either a crime drama or a high stakes action movie:

"A gang of criminals, all of whom work openly in the public eye, all work towards causing a mass riot in Paris fueled by drug enabled hypnosis. They also use the body parts of an ancient robotic criminal of legend, that killed our protagonist's parents and was blasted apart last time, to operate their crimes, but unbeknownst to them their leader is planning on backstabbing them all by use of one of two (TWO!) plants he has within Interpol to gather all those body parts so he could inject his soul into the newly reformed body."

Like that is wild for an early 2000's platformer about a racoon dude who steals stuff with the help of his two best friends, hippo wrestler and turtle hacker.

I will be frank one of the biggest appeals for me in this lovely little au of yours is the thought that Snorpy and Flooftix have something of a decent relationship compared to canon. I'm sure they still annoy one another, all sibling do, but at least here it seems like they wouldn't constantly be bickering

That’s the goal, baby! I think the most fun I’ve been having when it comes to writing this AU is seeing how the relationships given the swapped cast dynamics all work out, and Flooftix and Snorpy’s relationship is no exception.

You described their relationship pretty well! Although Snorpy easily gets on Flooftix's nerves, in the end, they really do love each other. What's more, Snorpy is Flooftix's confidant, as he's the only one who knows they're acting as their “Flooftix” persona, which adds another layer of trust and respect between the two.

Overall, the two are a fun pair I’m glad to see people enjoying. Glad to see you like them! :0]

Starlo should be Clover's dad

Why? Because ↓

1) Both dress into cowboy-themed attire to feel braver/more important than they are

2) Clover, instead of a regular kid, wants to feel like a hero; Star, instead of a regular farmer, also wants to feel like a hero

In reality, Star is not the tough guy he pretends to be. His optimism, protectiveness and caring nature make him a hero though.

In reality, Clover started off as a scared kid who became more confident and skilled thanks to Flowey's resets. Their heroism comes from their forgiving and selfless nature and the hidden courage they got the chance to explore.

2) Both acted childish during a dangerous situation Clover came down the mountain with a toy gun so that it would bring them comfort/they'd feel more in control of the situation (if you remember, Frisk refused to play with Asriel's toys in UT, saying how they're "too old," and I assume Frisk and Clover are the same age).

Starlo brought a fake gun before confronting Clover in genocide, just to feel cool.

3) Both not only value justice, but base it on compassion

Clover's entire mission was to bring justice (avenge the kids), but along the way changed that mindset (in pacifist). Star says how him and his posse aren't bandits, tests Clover's sense of justice and morality with the trolley problem, and wants to give Ceroba a second chance despite her actions.

4) Starlo's got protective fatherly instincts

8) a lot of monsters associate Clover with the Dunes/Wild East

9) oh and... Starlo referred to the Wild East as Clover's.... home. Twice.

ngl I had always wondered how you learned the language, I wasn't sure if it was commonly taught/spoken where you are and I felt like it would be awkward to ask at the risk of coming across as your typical idiot american. Do you mostly communicate with that language on the internet? Are there any Hebrew-centric communities you frequent online, too?

Honestly I'm a bit of an outlier xD Yeah we teach English here, part of the regular schedule starting from middle school. Most schools also have electives on French, Spanish, and damn near every school has an Arabic elective.

Personally yeah I just speak English online, and there's plenty of Hebrew-centric places but...eh, I usually pick one website to plant my butt in and stick with it, so I'm basically just here when not offline xD

Also, in future, genuinely, if you're curious, about anything, ask! Here's an old saying , those afraid to sound stupid for a moment will stay stupid for life. Worse I'll say is that I don't know xD

I HAVENT THOUGHT OF LIKE LORE™️ YET BUT I GOT HIM FROM @/PRINCEOFMINTS ON HERE A FEW MONTHS BACK BC HE WAS FOR SALE AND I VIBED WITH THE DESIGN SO EXTREMELY HARD. my bf is drawing him and one of his ocs rn i think. i see him as playful and smug, not maliciously so or at anyone's expense, just for his amusement mostly. is capable of being serious, but doesn't need to be. gregarious and good at diffusing tension. i like to think he's a model. would 100% professionally sit there and look pretty. people would assume he's dumb for that, which is very wrong.
