I've been told before that I sometimes give off the impression that I'm "too perfect" and "goody-two-shoes" to relate to (this isn't my personal opinion, just what I've heard from others in the past!). Maybe it's the fact I tend to smile or laugh at everything, or that I love sharing random reflections and encouragements on my Instagram/Facebook (in case you haven't noticed 😅)...Whatever the reason is, or whatever it may seem, I promise you it's not true (the belief that I'm "perfect"). Those of you who know me well know that, of course: I'm just as broken, imperfect and flawed as the next person, and my apparent "put-togetherness" doesn't diminish the fact that I've experienced pain, too (and still do). . . My point in saying this isn't to attract attention or pity, or say "I know just how you feel" (because truthfully, no one but God can know how truly broken and wounded we are). Rather, I hope to encourage you that you're not alone in your pain, grief, or doubt. I may not always be great about revealing just how broken and imperfect I am, but my hope is that these reflections and posts would reveal an honest desire and heart to be as transparent, real, and human as possible with you (I might not always succeed but I can certainly try!). After all, isn't that what fellowship and friendship is for? To laugh, cry, and be broken...together. . . "Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ."
