The fact that Beast Dazai ended up as Mori is so depressing... I would say worse than Mori in a weird way but still Mori-like and it's so depressing for me even if I actually dislike Dazai a lot lmao

In both the film and the BEAST novel, Dazai tells Atsushi and Akutagawa that they must protect the Book and Yokohama because of the danger ahead.

It is implied that more than two people should not know about these events, as it could alter space-time and make the world that Dazai so painstakingly created disappear.

However, in the film it is mentioned that Fyodor DOES KNOW about these events, so he appoints a hitman to get rid of Akutagawa and Atsushi as soon as possible.

This makes me seriously think about what role Fyodor plays in the entire series:

• Indeed Fyodor was not murdered, and it is impossible for him to be killed. Since he plays an important role as the "Grand Inquisitor" (and I think it's God/Christ himself but I'll talk about this later), the Book doesn't have an effect on him in the same way as it does with Dazai.

BSD Beast is a comedy (to me).

Headcanons @from-hell-till-dawn and I came up with:

Chuuya: has a major crush on Dazai, is mad as hell about it, thinks Dazai and Atsushi are seeing each other secretly, hates Atsushi accordingly Atsushi: confused as to why Chuuya hates him & very intimidated by him. Tries to subtly wingman, makes everything worse. Dazai: Creating an Odasaku Stalker Collage in his bedroom, literally on his last leg, planning to blame Chuuya in his suicide note. Oda: oblivious to everything, eating curry, living his best life.

random realization that i had in school

OK SO LIKE-

i just had a realization a few days ago

basically: mori's survival is all in dazai's hands

ok heres why:

mori is basically, still alive right now (most likely??? depends on the next chapters) and in our original universe he HAS to stay alive, otherwise, the port mafia will be in havoc. unless dazai never left the mafia like at the end of the dark era.

because dazai, is the most similar person to mori, after all, he was taught by him. if dazai never left, mori could have been dead, and dazai would just take over.

if that's the case, why didnt mori actually die in the BEAST manga?

sure, it all lines up, dazai never leaves, so mori is allowed to just be killed off in some way. so why didnt he die in BEAST?

because he still had another task.

to be atsushi's caretaker in the event dazai dies.

and dazai does die, so mori has to do his task to make sure atsushi would be able to get on his feet after dazai dies.

summary: mori can get squished if dazai joins the mafia again but he cant since he has to stay alive or the mafia goes boom
