for some reason these two panels having akutagawa drawn at almost the exact same angle in the same pose but with completely opposite expressions and things he's saying makes me foam at the mouth. harukawa (+ asagiri) you can't do this to me

i don't think i can even properly wrap my head around this. akutagawa regained his memories as soon as ATSUSHI SACRIFICED HIMSELF FOR HIM. the way atsushi looked at him in those moments, the soft smile and the half lidded eyes. just like akutagawa did with him back on the ship. the drop of the chapter name: "a mysterious thing called the heart" right afterwards. akutagawa screaming for atsushi. the shift in his eyes as he Realized. atsushi seeing akutagawa in the fourth dimensional space and immediately calling out to him. them calling out for each other in different dimensions-- searching for each other yet unable to reach. you could not have prepared me for this in any way.

but even more than that Akutagawa’s famous repetition of this line is no longer a one off…

but a thing they both do now…

can't lie Dazai would've lost me after "you're at the airport" like pause can i get some lined paper so i can take some notes at least. The new chapter is almost here... Can't wait to get overloaded with the information Asagiri will give us and get some more theories/analysis to make on things. I wouldn't mind waiting a chapter or 2 until we get that Akutagawa and Atsushi vs Amenogozen scene, because we all know that will be one of the best and full of hype.

jolts upright I've just had a realization. how much did atsushi think about when akutagawa died? how much did he replay it in his mind, go over every detail again and again? how much did he mourn it, grieve him? how many times did he recall akutagawa's last words? because for atsushi to be able to, in a split second, as he *dies* and everything around him has already gone to shit, recall what akutagawa said to him, and repeat it back? it must have been constantly.
