When I first heard about Tokyo Revengers I thought they were a detective agency and Takemichi was a detective who was going back in time to solve his girlfriend's murder and to save her I thought the gang was a detective agency that all had different abilities like Takemichi's one was obviously time travel. basically I thought Tokyo Revengers was Bungo Stray Dogs but with time travel... (Inspired by @starlightshadowsworld Tokyo Revengers posts that reminded me of this)

Author's note; First Jim comic and it's based on a Bungou Stray Dogs chat I had in class on Monday just amended to have my favourite coat!

Along with that, I only came up with Jim today (04.10.2023) whilst coming home from a walk. The main idea was that with my favourite coat, The Silly One, a lotta shit happens so why not make a silly comic based on it; Thus Silly Coat Jim hath been born. Bless be Bois that go :3

I feel like Coil would be a very distrustful feral young adult and Medkit would just be very deadpan and calm but pessimistic father/uncle figure. Kind of like Hank from Detroit become human or Swansea from Mouthwashing. Over time Coil bonds closer with Medkit, since Med is basically patching him up everyday and Coil keeps tabs on Subspace. But then Medkit starts pushing him away in fear of the church tying Coil to him and dangling him over Medkit as means of manipulation, or even worse, them being interested in indoctrinating Coil into the family. Eventually Medkit completely ghosts Coil and they meet 3 years later in The Phighting! Competition, now imagine the angst...

In Japan every year we have this thing where the town has this big fireworks show to celebrate the summer, and this time when I watched the fireworks I got WAN flashbacks and wondered if we'd ever see everyone back together again. (alive)

one thing that 122 has highlighted to me is that sskk's lack of understanding is the only thing that hindered them until now.

akutagawa sought to understand atsushi, but was still caught up with his own reason to live and could not comprehend a world where somebody else had a deadly ability but could be treated so kindly. once he understood atsushi, and understood the reasons he wished to fight or go on missions, he trusted him with rashomon and even sacrificed himself to ensure the 'better' man went ahead.

whereas atsushi, up until 122, meets akutagawa and focuses on why. why was akutagawa always like this. why is it always dazai that akutagawa focuses on. why does akutagawa even help atsushi. why did he save atsushi. it's never clicked in his mind that all of these things could be linked - or even, that akutagawa is just as human as atsushi is.

now the puzzle is complete in atsushi's mind, he understands. he knows the answers to why akutagawa has done all of the things that he did, and he knows why he and akutagawa are meant to work together. he gets it. he understands.

crazy how in cannibalism arc, ranpo, the boy who sees the truth, knew chuuya was a formidable foe and decided to distract him by talking about dazai, because apparently chuuya is that easy to read
