I'm going to say one thing, just one very serious thing, before I put myself on lockdown from saying anything more about this on main for a while for the sake of my blood pressure:

"They're trying to give my creative job to a COLD, UNFEELING, SOULLESS ROBOT!"

No the fuck they're not.

They're trying to give your creative job to anyone they can dump it on for cheap, from the unpaid intern they can convince they're BASICALLY making into a SHOWRUNNER, to an underpaid guy working 12-16 hour shifts in a cubicle farm in the global south, OPERATING a robot to EXPRESS A REAL PERSON'S ideas.

Is that good for anyone involved? Fuck no it's not! It's a shit deal for BOTH of you and for EVERYONE else in the process of creating a finished product! The only people it's good for are the CEOs and shareholders!

But dehumanizing the guy desperate enough to take $1.50/hour or less to wrangle the robot into making something cohesive enough to sell, and/or who has to edit it into something passable, in what is likely to be their second or third language, and erasing their input, is NOT going to save you from corporate greed.

If the rhetoric you're using to resist the corporate use of tech to maximize output at the workers' expense boils down to "DIRTY UNQUALIFIED BROWN PEOPLE ARE TAKING MY JOB!!", you're doing it wrong.

fic idea:

Mary steals Henry's dog because her grandson is too attached to the animal and she thinks it makes him soft. In her eyes, getting rid of David will toughen Henry up.

She gets someone beholden to her in the Palace to steal David , destroy his collar and remove his micro chip then dump him in the country near farm land. Make it look like a runaway hunting hound.

Lucky for Henry and David, a nosy American , in the right place at the right time, sees the dog being unceremoniously shoved out of a black tinted SUV, and goes to investigate.

But let's be honest I have been weighing every day and now very fucking well that I am plateaued.

And I have a holiday meal on Sat night.

I am thinking I am going to pack a cucumber and a meat stick to right right before I get there so I am not super hungry.

Cucumbers are my current fav snack. The large English ones.

I eat the peel too so I am sure someone will say that I am unhealthy.

It is speedy tho. Grab n go.

I might need to get rid of my protein bars.

They are sweet. I eat on every day.

But would I eat 200 cals of turkey for protein?

Idk.

Thoughts. It has been a tough week.

Work has been super fucky.

Nightfall is so woefully underdeveloped thus far and I really hope that gets to change the next time she's heavily involved in an arc, especially considering the symbolism of her scenes in the second anime opening and how they parallel Yuri's

Like at least Yuri has a tragic backstory that works to explain why he's so fucking weird about Yor and it's a reoccurring theme every time he's on screen, but all we know about Nightfall is 1. she's in love with Twilight 2. he trained her 3. everyone thinks she's ruthless & coldhearted

I feel like her story has to be tragic too, given the overall message of the effects of war in SxF, with Twilight unknowingly being an important figure in her coping with the past, because I can't really think of any other explanations for why she has no loyalties to anything but him despite him not treating her any differently than other colleagues. If the entire explanation is just "a woman driven by ambition" I'm gonna be quite disappointed

Like I wanna know what's wrong with her she's fucking nuts haha
