not sure if folks have heard the expression “if we don’t laugh then we’ll cry”
jokes on dark things are inherently the way they are because they bring light on the whole picture. if a joke made you uncomfortable, it probably means it should’ve, but don’t dismiss people for laughing at the dark thing
it doesn’t make you morally better because you were aghast and it doesn’t make them immoral for finding it funny
because a lot of us had to work hard on facing and laughing at our own dark things to move on

I have been observing from afar and even though no one asked me here is my multi-paragraph essay on why Keefe 100% has abs
Okay so one of the main aspects of Keefe's keefiness is that he blames himself for what his friends go through, especially relating to the neverseen because of his mother. He feels like he has to fix it or compensate for it.
In Kotlc Everblaze, we see that when he is talking into the tracker in case the Neverseen is listening, he says he's been practising with the goblin throwing stars and that he won't miss again. This is further evidence of the fact that he feels he has to be better in order to protect his friends, and this was even before we learned that his mother was part of the neverseen.
Therefore, it seems reasonable that he would be training to fight against the Neverseen not just using throwing stars, but also trying to learn how to fight without weapons. By extension of this, he is also probably working out a lot, probably far more than is necessary, so he feels better capable of protecting his friends.
His anger and guilt only intensified after he learns the truth about his parents, and again with every altercation with the neverseen or other enemies, especially after events such as when Sophie and Fitz were attacked in Flashback or when he fought King Dimitar. He needs to be stronger and better to defend his loved ones like he couldn't before.
One of the main arguments of the anti-keefe-has-abs group is that he is a "soft artist boy" and that he uses art as a coping mechanism as opposed to physical activity. This is true, but you have to remember why he does a lot of the drawing in later books. He's trying to trigger memories they can use against the Neverseen.
Keefe is drawing as a coping mechanism, but this is just part of his main coping mechanism of throwing himself into trying do something, anything, to feel useful in the fight against the Neverseen in an effort to make up for all his mother's actions. He tries to trigger memories, tries to run away and "join the enemy", tries to sacrifice himself to save everyone else and tries to keep his mother away from those he cares about whom she would hurt.
He will do anything and everything he can which includes utilising both his mind (through triggering memories) and his body, through training until maybe one day he will be strong and fast enough to actually defeat his mother next time she tries to hurt the people he holds most dear.
Keefe will do anything in his power to make up for his mother's actions, to protect his friends, and to prove to them to himself that he isn't as useless as he has been every other time the neverseen has attacked.
Keefe will become as physically capable as he can until he feels capable enough.
Keefe will do anything, physically or mentally, to prove he's not as useless as he feels.
So in short, Keefe has trauma, so he works out, so he has abs.
If anyone put themselves through reading that, dare you to change my mind.
KEEFE HAS ABS

Confession time: I hate it, absolutely hate it when fanfiction writers make Charles call Edwin "Eds".
Like, I actually pull a disgusted face when I see it. It's a visceral reaction I am helpless against.
It just feels so wrong.

The RDR2 fandom after I mention that despite being a better man (socially) than most during 1899, Arthur Morgan is still a man of his time so he still has certain prejudices if you analyze the game without the rose tinted glasses that come from loving the character -

i HATE the “effie is secretly an anti-capitol rebel” trope for a lot of reasons but the most simple of them is this: the dichotomy and contradictory nature of effie having essentially no agency within her own beliefs and actions WHILE ALSO willingly and often enthusiastically choosing to participate in the perpetuation of the hunger games is sooooo delicious. why would u want to take that away by making her rebellious and anti-capitol???

hot take maybe, but I only truely like prideshipping if it’s heavily unrequited and obsessive on Seto’s end, because of two reasons.
Reason #1. the fact that ignoring romance it’s basically freaking canon. The spirit beat kaiba in a duel and made him experience death by being killed by his favorite game than doesn’t give him a second thought until Mokuba and DeathT( early manga) But kaiba is fixated on this experience for, seemingly months. Obsessed with the only person who’s ever won against him and designing new technology and an entire amusement park attraction in order to kill him. He’s putting innocent bystanders and his own brother in danger in order to humiliate and destroy his seemingly only equal. Than he loses.
in duel monsters Kaiba creates a tournament and enters Yuugi as a top level duelist and monitors his every movement throughout the tournament. As the spirit is losing hope for winning against Slifer and Marik, Kaiba shows up just to tell him that only he’s allowed to win against the pharaoh, and afterwards he straight up tells him that the only thing he wants to do in that moment is duel him. In the finals Kaiba demands that Yuugi put Slifer in his deck in order to have the ultimate battle that he’s deemed worthy against his greatest rival because anything less wouldn’t be worthy of the title of the king of games. The title he never wins
in Dsod Kaiba builds an advanced AI based off Atems personality and strategies but ultimately hates it because it’s not really him. Kaiba collects almost all of the pieces of the millennium Puzzle and builds a ELEVATOR into SPACE( probably costing millions of dollars to build) in order to rebuild the puzzle because he believes that it will bring back Atem. He announces Another tournament in order to get the last missing pieces of the puzzle because he’s desperate for closure against him and Atem. After the puzzle is destroyed he literally breaks the laws of REALITY in order to go to the after life for his closure duel. And it’s left unknown if he ever won against the man who made Kaiba strive to be a better duelist, create new advanced inventions and technology that ultimately make the world a better place all because of Kaiba’s unhealthy relationship with winning and losing.
reason #2. I’m an absolute sucker for unhealthy, obsessive relationships that end in tragedy

I can’t believe I’m forced to sit here and endure the Gale/Anders comparisons despite them really just having magic and cats in common and NO ONE has compared Shadowheart and Leliana. They’re literally the opposite and the same at the time. We just meet Shadowheart at her dark point instead of act three where she’s loosing up.
Like if you nudge the time line a bit you could have Shadowheart be a regular selune cleric who has a dark past as a cleric of Shar and who does that remind you of? Leliana.
Leliana’s background of being a bard works pretty well too and is probably the closest you can get considering there’s no devil equivalent in Thedas.

If Sera Dragon Age has a million fans, then I am one of them. If Sera Dragon Age has ten fans, then I am one of them. If Sera Dragon Age has only one fan then that is me. If Sera Dragon Age has no fans, then that means I am no longer on earth. If the world is against Sera Dragon Age, then I am against the world.

k imma say it, some people in the fandom acting like physical abuse is the only “real” form of abuse bugs me
It’s not enough for some of y’all Esther’s been telling Enid for years she’s gonna die alone because of something she can’t control, no, she also has to beat her
She's bad enough as it is, she doesn’t need assault charges :/

I just wish death wasn't such an absolute taboo in our society.
My grandmother died unexpectedly. But, really? Did she really??
Once upon a time, a passer-by helped Death up when he'd fallen down alongside the road. To thank him, Death promised not to come unannounced, but to send a messenger ahead of him. Death sent illness, and fewer, and old age and grey hairs and aching joints. The man didn't recognize any of these as the promised messenger, and was genuinely shocked when Death showed up at his doorstep.
My grandmother died unexpectedly. She was old, and getting noticeably weaker for years now. The last two weeks, she could barely move her arms for pain in her shoulders. Eventually, she had to call a relative for help, who called a doctor, who called an ambulance to take her to the emergency. The next day, she died of heart failure. Unexpectedly.
She was, by a complete coincidence that we definitely won't need to worry about, almost exactly the same age as her father, when he died of sudden heart failure. Funny thing, these coincidences.
My grandfather also died unexpectedly. He had Parkinson's, and wasn't able to move much those last years. Just before his death, my mother took him to the hospital for a check-up, and left him there, then came back here where we live. According to my sister, she cried when she left my grandparents' city. At that time, we visited three times a year, so she knew perfectly well that she would be back in three months' time. Why would she cry? But no, my grandfather died unexpectedly.
The next one to go will be my aunt. It is pretty clear, has been pretty clear since she was diagnosed with cancer last year. We could, theoretically, like, prepare for it. But no, because you can't talk about death, so we can't even mention it unless I'm alone with my father.
"Thank you for helping me," said Death. "As a thanks, I will not come unannounced, but will send a messenger."
"That is a fine thing," said the man. "That way, I won't have to worry about you hiding behind every tree."
And if I say any of this out loud, then I'm an unforgivable asshole.
