it’s been a while since I’ve given some news on my current writing status, but I can confidently tell ya that the word count for Ch27 of In Your Dreams will be at least 10k+ words! No set update time yet as I’m still chipping away at it bit by bit, but thank you all for your lasting support nonetheless, and stay tuned!

Decided to finally give Explorers of the Spirit a play-through!
I took the liberty of editing both Echo and Sora using SkyTemple (and editing sprites for them), so that I could experience the game perfectly for the first time.
I am so excited to experience this romhack, especially since everyone that has recommended it seems to absolutely love the story. I'll probably be a crying mess at the end. We'll see if I can manage to tough through it all and come out in one piece (who am I kidding? I will cry, I know it).
(possible EOTS spoiler warning below)
Another reason that I am extremely excited is because I heard that this game was influenced by the Hero/Darkrai fan theory (though it may not be exactly the same?)
So obviously I had to tweak Echo's moveset a little and give her both the move Dark Void and also the secondary ability Bad Dreams. For the theme, ya know? I need the maximum amount of angst possible. I wanna suffer emotionally.
Anyway. This is gonna be fun <3

Magic school book sale
Into the Labyrinth, the first novel in my YA magic school series, Mage Errant, is a Kindle Daily Deal today! (November 15th.) Books 2&3 will be on sale as well for the next couple of days. Mage Errant follows the adventures of Hugh of Emblin, a young student mage whose magic doesn't want to work right- though his anxiety works just fine.
Mage Errant features found family, a convoluted science-inspired magic system, a non-neurotypical protagonist, a queernormative setting, Machiavellian politics, lots of explosions, and more kaiju than you can shake a stick at. (Though, uh... I highly recommend against shaking sticks at kaiju in general.)
Mage Errant is heavily inspired by Diane Duane, Dianna Wynne Jones, Will Wight's Cradle, Andrew Rowe's Arcane Ascension, and a bunch of cheesy shonen anime. It's part of the new(ish) genre of progression fantasy, which is much more heavily focused on training and growing in power than average in fantasy. (I like to call the genre "books for people who like movie training montages way too much.")
The whole series is complete now, sans a short story anthology coming out in February. It's also getting a webtoon comic adaptation, which is super exciting!
Oh, and whenever I got a bad review for having queer characters (of which I got MANY), I hit a mental button reading "make it gayer."

The way Kishi makes a fool of Kakashi here though.
By this point, she has outright admitted that there’s absolutely nothing she can do for Sasuke, so those words are moot.
Kakashi also says that her feelings for Sasuke have “changed” and that they’re “on a whole different level”, yet her behavior is exactly the same from when she was twelve.
Kishi could’ve chosen so many ways to show actual progression to back Kakashi up, but he chose not to.
Not to mention, Kishi has Sasuke himself expose the clownery chapters later 🤡
Then we have Kakashi preaching about how she supposedly didn’t “want” nor “try” to make Sasuke hers —
Only for Kishi to confirm in the Gaiden that she chased after Sasuke even after Sasuke was saved by Naruto. So she very much wanted and tried to make him hers (🤡) and her novel (for those who take them into account) only makes it worse because it shows she wouldn’t take no for an answer.
But the worst offender is the fact that Kishi has Kakashi say that you don’t need a reason to love someone, because what undoes Sasuke in the end is understanding the reason Naruto goes so far for him.
So Kishi really grabbed Kakashi and made the poor man spout a bunch of non-sense to save-face since SS was going to be canon, but it’s obvious that not even Kishi himself believed any of it 🤡

Out of curiosity... would anybody be interested if I made a separate blog for Star Tower? In doing so, I would have a definitive space to post all of my rough concepts and thoughts for the AU without having to worry about touching them up to perfection to post here. 💙✨

Assumpta invited me to stay with them for almost an extra month and want to take me to Barcelona with them....I feel like Lizzie Bennet being invited to stay a month complete at Rosings and going as far a London in the barouche box.

Oh yeah, I posted this on Instagram at like 2 in the morning and immediately passed out. Happy Eclipse day, I hope those who could see it had fun
Here's one of the only pictures I took, and I didn't have the wherewithal to do it properly so it's just a picture of a bright light 🤣

popping my head through your window (and possibly shattering the glass woops) to say: I am alive! I've been spending time with family, studying (I can safely say now that Professor Joy is the best and I would 10/10 follow her back to England to take her course at King's College if it weren't for the financial part. She was SO lovely and her class was amazing), preparing for fall classes, chipping away steadily at my essays and my fairy tale novel, hammering out the occasional blog post or poem, cooking, sleeping (or trying to, anyway), doing social things (I had one thing almost every day this week and it just about killed me. Thank God the person I was supposed to meet up with today cancelled, otherwise I'd be pretty much dead), reading TONS (am currently reading Sophie's World, War and Peace, Aggressively Happy, Jamie Smith's On the Road, Gordon Fee's How to Read the Bible for All Its Worth, and the Heidelberg Catechism for kicks, as well as working my way through a few class readings), and have caught up with a few stories I meant to catch up with (in other words: went to watch Barbie in the theatres, which was brilliant and not what I expected, and finished The Bear season 2, which.... I don't know, guys, it was a Lot). Things have been BUSY on the school front and many concerning things have been revealed BUT all is well and all shall be well!!
I shall be back in September. At present things are still SUPER busy. But I shall keep y'all in my prayers! Miss you and love you!!
