his dad is the god of wealth he is holding NOTHING back. aside from that, he grew up wealthy and spent so so long in the lotus casino. i think he has a rly bad handle on money lol.

however he's such a mysterious guy that i think it doesn't occur to will that nico is actively spending money on him??

like will makes an offhand comment about how he would marry the person who would bring him the mystical rocket launching boba fett. and nico is like word okay and the next day there is a rocket launching boba fett on will's pillow and he's like BRO???? OH MY GOD?????

but he just figures that nico knew someone who had it!! he knows nico is big on figurines & collectibles and has a lot of connections, so he thinks nico just called in a favour.

in reality nico did all those things and also spent like two hundred k lol

basically, nico doesn't even think about it. if he hears a friend express a want that he has to means to acquire...its not even an active choice to him?? he's like well why wouldn't i buy this for them.

and i think this means a whole lot to will!!

he's spent his life in his mom's tour van or a bunk bed. he grew up in two wars. he was responsible for an entire infirmary at 13. he's a nerd and he likes nerdy things but like...collecting takes time. and money he doesn't have, because money isn't really a focus in camp and its not like he's paid lol

so of course there are things that he likes but...imagine being will. imagine having a budget for the INFIRMARY YOU RUN and thinking, like...well the camp has only so much money. i know exactly what these medical supplies cost. i refuse to steal. why would i ever be so selfish to ask for money to be spent on me and the things i like?

and then there's nico, who doesn't need him to ask. who WANTS to give him things he wants, not just what he needs or what he wants for others. what WILL wants. nico will get him.

will on the other hand....he gives away his time like it's free.

he does things for people. constantly. like austin complains about not having anywhere quiet to practice and will builds him a soundproof practice room. you know?

now when nico, who has had no one spend their time on him since bianca....

like his father did not have time for him. even when he lived in the underworld, he was put to work. or else he was bored. it's not like he and hades HUNG OUT, you know?

and of course he had no friends to spend their time on him. even in his first time at camp half blood -- for the first time, bianca didnt have time for him. she chose the hunters for ETERNITY, she said i am done choosing you now. and nico drove percy insane, who certainly didn't have time for him between saving the world. the entire time we saw him in TTC he was being pushed away.

by the time he had hazel, HE was the one pushing himself away before anyone else could. he filled his time so he wasn't waiting for anyone else. besides, through no fault of hers, he and hazel CAN'T give each other as much of their time as they would like!! they live on opposite sides of the country!!

but will.....

gods will. will SEEKS HIM OUT. the first thing will says to him is i have carved out, in my busy healer schedule, three days of time for YOU. not only have i carved out these three days, but in that brief moment of time where i was running around camp, i was thinking about you. you were a PRIORITY and i'm upset that you did not come spend your time with me.

like.....oh my god. can you imagine that? being nico? hearing someone you barely know, at this point, talk about how much time he wants to spend with you? and then as you get closer, he spends SO MUCH time with you!! he makes you a priority!

will walks nico to breakfast and watches him in sword practice and takes out his schedule when nico is making his to make sure they line up. he plans dates and they're FUN and he is so careful to make them enjoyable for nico, too, so much so that he forgets his nerves.

the biggest gifts they give to each other is noticing, i think. i see you, i see what you need and wont ask for, and i care enough to give it to you anyway.

he may not have many musical talents himself but music was naomi solace's whole world. you bet your ass it's everything for him, too.

he is teased for his love of country, and he does love country (everybody loves country if you hate country you are lying to yourself, i know you sing along to before he cheats with your whole chest), but he has a VAST music taste.

he is a britney spears stan. i will not be convinced otherwise.

nico, on the other hand, is not nearly as ignorant about music as people pretend he is. y'all he was in a casino/arcade until like 2006!!!!! do you think it was silent in there!!!!! do you think he is not the absolute king of just dance and DDR!!!

however he was, like, 10. so i think he's familiar with a lot of songs but in the way you were when you were a kid, you know?? like i could sing paparazzi w my whole chest beginning to end flawlessly at eight years old, but i would not have been able to recognise lady gaga by name or sight.

i think he and will make somewhat of a game out of it. the first time they hang out, nico is NERVOUS beforehand. like for hours. will said they were going to have a chill day bc he has time off, but what are they supposed to DO?? before they were actively doing stuff together. will was teaching nico first aid basics, or nico was helping him around the infirmary; they were helping rebuild camp together. sure, they were talking, but they had something to focus on if things got awkward or conversation faded naturally.

that is VERY DIFFERENT from just hanging out in person. is nico supposed to have conversation starters prepared? how much silence is rude? is will going to finally decide he's boring? or weird? will is such a hyper person!!! how is nico supposed to entertain him!!

meanwhile will is in his cabin freaking the fuck out to his siblings like GUYS HES GONNA THINK IM A WEIRD NERD DORK LOSER 😭😭😭.....WHAT IF HE SAYS THE WORD SAND AND I GO ON THE ANAKIN SKYWALKER RANT ON REFLEX FUCK KAYLA WHAT DO I DO I DONT KNOW HOW TO MAKE FRIENDS LIKE A NORMAL PERSON HE IS SO OUT OF MY LEAGUE

and he's like wait nico has spent a lot of time in the underworld...he might not be very up to date!! this'll be awesome. so he stays up till like 3 on the big house computer carefully making nico several CDs worth of playlists.

he makes HOURS of music. way more than they could ever listen to in one day, but he gets carried away. he makes a playlist with his favourite country music, including his moms stuff obviously, with rock music he thinks nico in particular will like, pop punk stuff, regular pop, an entire CD dedicated to the icon herself kesha (whom he knows personally bc she sun backup vocals for his mom when she was a teenager), some musicals, and some iconic european music to top it off. he has a little bit of EVERYTHING.

most important, though, he makes a CD with the top 100 billboard songs from the years 1958 (when it started) to 1985. he doesnt have enough time to do it all the way to this year in one night but vows to work on it when he has time.

when he goes to nico's cabin, he comes with a stack of CDs as long as his arm and chiron's CD player. he's practically sparkling with excitement; when nico opens the door he is already halfway through a sentence lol.

for four straight hours, they just listen to song after song, will pausing after each one to ask what nico thinks. he recognises a lot of them, even though he didn't know their names, but even still he's pretty quiet at first. but as they go on it gets hard not to get caught up in wills excitement, and he dances like such a dork, anyway, is it his fault for laughing? and those four hours pass like MINUTES and suddenly its curfew and will has to go.

this becomes their tradition! will plays a song, nico reviews it. even as they learn how to hang out with each other in different ways, it becomes reflex -- when there's a song playing will looks at nico for a reaction. when they're with others, in public, whenever.

the first time nico makes will a playlist he cries.

the playlist is called sunshine.

will plays on his walkman until its worn right through.

what is their favorite fruit?

at first will thinks nico doesn't like fruit at all because he has to force this dumbass to eat fruit and vegetables. all he eats is like. cereal and sandwiches. it stresses will the fuck out.

he's out here plopping a bowl of fruit on nico's table like eat this whole thing or i'm gonna whoop your ass before scurvy does. (he is genuinely afraid nico is going to get scurvy, although its not a very effective anxiety because hes kind of deeply afraid of scurvy in general and is always trying to push people to eat oranges lol).

nico ALWAYS drags his feet about it. at one point will gets worried that nico just straight up doesn't like fruit and starts fretting about synthetizing supplements.

turns out nico is just, like...a little pretentious. about fruit particularly. in his defense, he has been all over the world. like he's had indian mangoes and algerian clementines okay it is VERY hard to settle for stuff grown in north america as nice as the demeter greenhouses are.

his favourite fruit ever is the lemon though. he had a lemon tree in his backyard when he was a kid that he doesn't remember, exactly, but he remembers how it tastes. will brings him a lemon once and almost as if his hands are working on their own, he cuts a slice, removes the peel and pith, puts it in a jar of sugar, and shakes to coat it, like his nonna would do secretly when he mama wasn't looking. its the best thing he's ever tasted.

will is a fruit fanatic, on the other hand. he steals strawberries every time he walks by the fields. the demeter cabin has to count their blueberries every night because he can and will eat them all when no one's looking.

his favourite, though, and he never ever gets it at camp, is prickly pear. in the summers before camp he would go to the desert with his mom and pick enough to make his stomach hurt -- he's never home when they're in season now, so sometimes when she's free shell drive up to new york just to bring him a box of them. she knows he's busy and cant leave camp in summers but she wants him to have that, at least.

i think all year-rounders are into pop culture just fine, but they're a few years behind. except for music -- will knows music. but things like movies and tv shows and memes, they either get updated from their summer-only friends or they stumble upon in naturally when it's not longer relevant lol.

nico, though, has an encyclopedic knowledge of old pop culture, because the lotus got new tech and games and movies before literally anyone else. he saw back to the future before it was in theatres and it changed his life. he quotes it all the time and no one has called him out on it then, but it is only a matter of time.

(he has seen star wars. he saw star wars before will was alive. but it is 100% funnier to pretend he doesn't know what a galaxy is and watch will's eye twitch when he asks him about luke skyrunner)

yes absolutely. but he's super embarrassed about it at first so he genuinely STEALS them, not just borrows them.

it's a heist and everything. he shadow travels into the apollo cabin at like three in the morning and rifles through will's shelf. when he gets back he panics and shoves it under his mattress, where it lives in shame for four months. will just thinks it must have been an unfortunate victim of some poor sick child or bleeding demigod and writes it off.

after several months, during which nico thinks about the sweater ALL the time but cannot physically force himself to touch, nico finally gets brave enough to take it out from under his mattress. he just stares at it for a long ass time, wrinkling it in his clenched hands. it's just a hoodie, you know?? who cares.

nico cares. obviously.

eventually he gets so annoyed with himself that he just yanks it on expecting to be able to tell himself like SEE you dumbass it's just a piece of clothing it literally does not matter. except.

except.

the hoodie still smells like will.

somehow.

and that is.

well.

he would rather dunk his head into the river of fire than admit it, but he melts. the hoodie is old as hell and worn and so so so so soft, gods, no wonder will wears it all the time. he never wants to take it off ever.

for weeks, whenever he's alone in the cabin, he wears the hoodie. it stops smelling like will pretty quickly but he doesn't mind, it's still the most comfortable thing ever. it becomes second nature to walk into his cabin, throw off his jacket, and tug the hoodie on, wearing it to bed.

on one night, and of course it's the hermes' cabin fault, everyone is rushing out of their cabin to see what the fresh fuck is sounding like twenty four fire alarms at once and also a nuclear explosion. nico, in his haste, does not take off the hoodie.

will, whipped, makes sure his siblings are okay and then turns immediately to find nico. he Sees The Hoodie. nico Sees Him See The Hoodie. nico tries to flee.

will has longer legs and also spots a teasing opportunity, so hera herself could not stop him.

will teases him to pieces but is also visibly pleased. the next morning nico finds another hoodie of will's hung over his desk chair.

he wears will's hoodies all the time.

Alright, now that I've had some sleep and time to process I can tell about how I met Costas Mandylor! Pics included!

Things went smoothly for the most part! The con is in my hometown and only a short drive. I was very excited but also super anxious! I'd had the art I'd drawn printed out and planned to buy another print for Costas to sign. Every scenario was running through my head, that'd he'd hug me and I'd make it weird, that he wouldn't hug me and just sign my things and then I'd feel bad I hadn't gotten a hug. Or maybe he'd ask me about the art, which I didn't really want to explain that it was from the fanfic I'm writing.

I tried to run through any responses that didn't make me sound like a total FREAK, or what'd I'd say to him in general. We got there at 2:30 and early entry wasn't until 4:30, but I knew from past experiences that it was best to try to line up as early as possible, so my husband, who was there mostly for moral support, and I went inside and for sure there was a line for registration started. At 3 they started checking us in and giving us our badges. We were pretty close to the front so I was feeling pretty good.

I didn't know how popular Costas was going to be. The last person I waited for was Robert Englund, and I waited 6 and a half hours just for him, and with the new movies bringing in more fans I wasn't sure how long of a wait I was in for and I wanted to be as close to the front as possible. Brad Dourif was also there so I was hoping he would be drawing most of the attention, and he was, but I was still nervous. We waited in another line for the celebs and we were right outside the door so I was feeling pretty confident at this point. C.J. Graham came out a few times to tease some of those waiting in line and to wonder the convention floor. I get the feeling that man has a hard time sitting still.

Then the doors open and half of the celebs weren't there. Now I do not blame them. I get the feeling that the staff of the con had some poor communication. I also met Dina Meyer, and her the staffer that was meant to sit with her wasn't there yet and she had to take money herself. I got her signature while I waited for Costas and she was very nice! Now the wait for Costas really started. I wasn't interested in many of the other celebrities. I did stop by Michael Ironside's booth because I'm a big V fan and Ham Tyler was one of my favorite's. He was behind as well, even when he got there we had to wait for them to get properly set up. Apparently they hadn't even been given his banner to put up. When he asked if I wanted it with my name him and my staffer looked up at with curiously and the staffer said "suspiciousssss"

"N-no! I just don't like my name on these things!" 😅 He probably thought I was going to sell it. I'm not Michael Ironside I swear!

With both Dina's and Michael's signatures a line had started at Costas's booth, so we mozied back over there to wait for him. Occasionally I'd look back at the massive line for Brad Dourif (who also wasn't there yet) and be glad I wasn't in that line. I'd done it for Robert Englund and could now rest in peace.

Around 5:30 someone shouted, "there he is!" And there he was! Just like that! I was suddenly looking at Costas Mandylor in person and he looked so excited to be there. I was third in line and I was really feeling the anxiety now. My fingertips were tingly and I was shaky on my feet. I have trouble asking for help at the grocery store, let alone face one of my favorite actors from some of my favorite movies. He was all smiles and high energy. I watched the woman right in front of me get a hug and he kissed her on both cheeks. Now not only was I worried about a hug, but would he kiss me too? I turned to my husband and said "if he does that you will be carrying my out of here."

My husband replies "nah if you faint he can carry you out of here"

He was kidding, but I wasn't. Hugs are a lot for me and a kiss on the cheek probably would have done me in. (I also had the horrible thought later that would have tried to kiss him on the lips out of instinct. I wouldn't have survived the embarrassment)

It was my turn and I was trying to keep it together, but I was shaking and trying to keep breathing. I'd handed my money to my husband to pay, as I didn't think I could sort through the bills, and then I was facing Costas, setting my art down in front of him.

He smiled up at me. "You drew this?"

"Yes!" I said, excited that he seemed impressed and also dreading any questions about it.

He complimented the art. I can't remember exactly what he said. I was like, in outer space in that moment.

"Do you want me to write anything? Personalize it with your name?" He asked next.

His voice his CRAZY nothing would have prepared me for hearing it in person and directed at me.

"Could you write "Congratulations"? It's a weird thing but that's what I'd like." I never get my name put on these things. I don't like my name that much and no one spells it right. It's not that hard of one but my spelling is apparently unpopular. He looked up at me and I think he was curious. Or maybe he knew I was a freak, but he smirked and wrote it for me anyway.

"Do you want my character name too?"

"Yes please!"

Once he was done he slid the second copy of the art I'd set down in front of him and asked "who do I make this one out to?"

"Oh no, that one is for you."

He looked confused, so I put it closer to him. "I printed this one out to give you."

He said "Oh!" Then looked at it. "You didn't sign it! If you're going to give me art sign it! And say something nice about me too!" And he set the sharpie in front of me.

I could have evaporated right there. I took the sharpie and wrote my signature as well as my full name and tried frantically to think of something quick I could write.

I landed on "You're my favorite Jigsaw" and when I handed it back to him for him to read he looked up at me with the sweetest expression. And I was absolutely honest. He is my favorite Jigsaw. He set it down behind him with a thank you and I set down the print I'd bought from his table.

Again I asked for just his signature. He pulled out a gold sharpie that was a little dry. "I hate dry markers" and he whipped it behind him dramatically as he watched me giggle at his antics. His staffer whipped out an entire case of markers and he picked up a fresh one "they ruin the signatures! Now I'm going to write a line I say in the next movie, I'm not even supposed to tell anyone, but I'll write it for you."

I was giddy and giggling the entire time at this point as I watched him write. I'm sure he's written for others, he's signed so many things for people at this point, but I still felt a little special. And I'm going to edit the pic to keep it to myself still just in case, but the fact that he still wanted to write something a little extra for me was so sweet.

Now it was time for the picture. I was shaking. A staffer volunteered but my husband insisted on taking the pictures. He's protective and wanted to make sure I got good ones. Costas put his arm around me and I put my around around his back and just focused on the camera. Then for the second picture Costas wrapped both arms around me and I was weak in the knees.

After the second picture he squeezed me tight. He said some things. Again I can't remember. Mercifully he didn't kiss me. On one hand of course that would have been amazing, on the other I really don't know if I could have handled it with any grace (or I might have fumbled it and wanted to die). I do remember him saying "you take care of yourself." In the most sincere way I'd ever heard those words spoken. And "I hope you see the new movie."

I said "of course and I can't wait to see you." And stepped back as my husband approached, and because I'm a total awkward weirdo I gestured at him and told Costas "this is my husband."

My husband is a big guy, 6'3" and visibly strong. Costas looks up at him with a big smile and holds his hand out for a shake, which my husband returns. Costas looks at me, still grinning and said "you have a strong husband."

I laughed. "I know"

Our time with him had to come to an end and I had to ESCAPE. The hyperventilating had started and I needed to get out of the crowd. We escaped the celeb room. I put my precious prints in the car and we shifted our focus to food.

The rest of the day was exploring the rest of the con! My time meeting Costas was amazing and I definitely want to see him again in the future. I'm staying home the rest of the con. I could go see him again but honestly I don't like being perceived that much and I don't want him thinking anything weird about me (he probably wouldn't but I'd feel so self conscious.) I'll see him again at a later con, but for now I'm content with meeting him this time.

PSA and Update: Regarding the Sasnak City private fan event on August 26, 2023 with Sam Heughan, Duncan LaCroix, and Charles Vandervaart...

Predictably, I woke up to some hate Anons in my Inbox. And also to an Ask from a go-between person sending me screencaps of a message from the Sasnak City ORGANIZER herself. The message was directed at me and my event source and she gave the go-between person permission to share the screencaps with me. The organizer is very upset that my source shared the event info with me and that I posted it publicly. And she goes as far as saying that because the info was shared, that this will be the end of any more Sasnak City events with Sam et al. C'mon now, I know I'm dramatic, but that's a bit over the top.

Lets' be real, people talk. It's human nature. And A LOT of people talk to me and share things with me. It's naive to think that an event with Sam Heughan will remain completely private. I heard at least a handful of other people who were at the event were also sharing info with people. I have a big audience and my blog is public, so it will have a wider reach, but still, others besides me did the same thing. I didn't sign an NDA and my blog is literally about posting insider info, scoops, etc. That's the way celeb blogs work.

As for the source who was at the event and gave me the info. She asked me to not post until 9:00 PM PST because that would make it 12:00 AM EST, which is the NEXT day. I could see being upset if any info about the event was posted AHEAD of time, or even DURING the event...but NOTHING was posted until AFTER the event was over.

As for Sam et al still being in the city where the event was held and fans possibly going to the airport to wait for them today...um, that's showbiz, baby...Sam has been photographed with fans waiting for him at airports for YEARS. He knows it's part of the deal of being famous. An airport is a public place. This does not put him in "danger," dramatic much? IF any fans go to the airport and get pics with Sam et al, that's literally ALL that it will be--a pic with a fan, not an assassination attempt FFS.

As I was in the middle of writing this, I received a message from someone else saying that the organizer is thinking of "suing." Um, suing WHO? I'm Anon and I didn't sign an NDA, so I can't be sued. And my source is also Anon, I don't know her real name, and I NEVER reveal sources, unless they give me permission. That's why people trust me and know they can come to me with info. You can only sue for breach of NDA if you can serve an identifiable person. There is no identifiable person here.

But, now I'm the one getting angry. The organizer is worried this will be the end of any Sam related Sasnak City events and is making a HUGE stink behind the scenes. It would be in the organizer's best interest to let this go, and stand down. I'd be worried about Sam finding out that she's THREATENING other fans, i.e. ME and my source who was at the event and provided info AFTER the fact.

I won't share the screencap of the organizer's message to me, but let's just say, it's very apparent she overestimates her importance. No one is curing cancer here, it's an expensive, exclusive fan convention. Nothing more, nothing less. Sam goes because he gets paid. Simple as that. Sam is super chill about everything, he doesnt care about any of this drama. I literally know people in L.A. who know him. Keep paying him and he will continue to attend. 🤷‍♀️ Just like any other celeb. Sasnak City events will continue.

It seems to me the organizer is more upset the info was posted before SHE could post it. I outscooped her about her own event--I get that would piss her off. But again, we're talking about a celeb con here, not state secrets.

I've been here a long time, I know how to play this game, who the players are, and people who can relay messages directly to Sam. You don't want to mess with me. Trust.

Again, I would just let this go, chalk it up to, "the event was a success, Sam knows we try our best to keep things private, but leaks happen, it's just how it is," and MOVE ON.

I respect that you don't cover minor children but I am interested if you can find out anything about the Sussex merching Archie. I feels this reflects more on the parents than the innocent child.

September 25, 2019 was the "Arch meets Archie" engagement in South Africa. This was the first real look anyone had of the baby. Fashion label H&M posted Archie's photo on their website with the jumper he was wearing. Almost immediately it was removed bc apparently the UK Advertising Standards Authority will not allow merching of royal children.

I am skeptical that H&M would do this without the parents permission. CP Victoria wears their clothes frequently and they never use her for ads. Perhaps Sunshine Sachs arranged this behind the BRFs back? I bet they could have gotten $500K. This entire incident has been scrubbed from the internet but plenty of articles remain detailing what he wore. Harry merched Dior at the coronation and MM is selling stress patches. I wouldn't put it past them to sell their kid. Apologies if you have already covered this.

But essentially, yes. Meghan did try to merch Archie. The one H&M ad is the only sell she could make.

And we know she tried to merch Archie because she tried to sell his baby pictures to a magazine but, obviously, no takers. The proof:

Her PR was dropping hints left and right about it, including how much she was looking for.

She played the "you can only see parts of the baby and not his face" game that all celebs play when they want a People payday for their baby. We didn't get a clear photo of Archie's face until the christening.

The controversy around the rules Meghan and Harry issued to their Windsor neighbors reek of someone who was worried about neighbors selling photos of their kid (and missing out on a payday) than protecting his privacy.

We also know that Meghan was trying to sell/merch Lili too when she was born. We did get similar PR hinting that the opportunity was available and what kind of price Meghan wanted for it and of course, no takers there either since we didn't see her face until her 1st birthday in pictures taken at Frogmore for the Platinum Jubilee. I think Meghan thought that if she made it look like they were back in the royal fold, she'd have an easier time selling Lili's photo but, again, didn't work.

My gut feeling is that she'll try to merch the kids again when they're a little older, especially Lili. Charlotte is 9 now and growing out of cute kiddie clothing. Meghan might try to launch Lili as the next fashionable toddler princess. (But it goes without saying that it won't work because Charlotte entering pre-teen years and being too big for Amaia Kids means a lot of parents are waiting to see what she wears next/how Kate dresses her as an older kid because, let's admit it, girls' fashion these days is...complicated.)

I love Evan Buckley with all my heart but I will never not get pissed off with the double standards.

it's so disheartening because I love buck so so so much but then people will say something false or contradictory and I have the irresistible (autistic) urge to explain why they aren't fully correct or having a full image.

this happens with characters, celebs, media, and more - and nine times out of ten, I don't even like them that much, I just HATE double standards or when people misinterpret things!

- A) she was going to college. B) she was in an abusive marriage? she gave him the keys to her car and he drove away, so if you want to get technical...

- Buck sued the department. He didn't even try going to the union or just waiting until he was off blood-thinners

- I'm sure he will be but canonically he hasn't made any decisions a parent would have to.

- dismissing the hard work of the actual parents in the show for Buck being parental is so sad.

- the white cis man is being targeted? did you guys not watch Hen begins or Chim begins? or that episode where that man is literally dying and refuses care from the two of them and eddie?

- HE TRIED! chimney was put in an impossible situation and literally told maddie to tell buck at any given opportunity. whether he told buck or not, buck would've been devastated either way. the betrayal wasn't about chimney, it was about the buckleys.

"Buck had the saddest childhood"

- ravi had cancer. chimneys mum died and his dad left the country without him. hen never knew her dad and her mum didn't approve of her. Bobby's dad was abusive and died whilst he was one room over. Eddie had to care for the women in his home and got scolded at every opportunity. a dead girl was buried in athenas garage. fuck, taylor kelly doesnt know if her dad killed her mum or not. they all have tragic childhoods, stop comparing them.

I'm aware that every characters has flaws, it's what makes them amazing, but people never really acknowledge Buck's flaws unless it used as sympathy whilst using other people's flaws to bring them down.

I love buck but I hate the double standards.

This is going to be quite a long admin note as there are a few points we’d like to touch on. But before we dive into that, I’d like to start by saying how amazing you all are in so many ways. The group has been open for a little over a month now and we couldn’t be happier about how things are going and how smoothly everything is running. There have been no major issues and we can’t thank you all enough for continuing to show up and write together. Thank you. We admins truly appreciate you all.

With that said, there are a few things that we must enforce right now for the sake of the group.

Please remember that trigger tags are important and are not mandatory! It’s understandable that we might forget from time to time and that’s okay. However, we kindly invite everyone to visit the trigger page here and ensure that you are tagging your posts appropriately when necessary.

Don’t be afraid to reach out to muns you haven’t talked to before, especially if you have an idea you’d like to explore. We understand that this can be tricky, especially for those who are shy or anxious about initiating contact. However, remember that we are all part of a group because we want to be part of a group, of a community where we can create new connections and write with more than one person. I assure you, everyone here is more than happy to plot and develop their muses further So take the leap and give it a try. If you ever feel ignored or uncomfortable with a particular mun, don't hesitate to message us on the main. We’re always here to listen and help in any way we can. This a general reminder for everyone to also be proactive in coming up with ideas for plotting/connections and to at least provide each other with something to work with. Which leads me to the next point...

Replies: Make sure to give the other person something to work with. Ask yourself if your reply is something you would find easy to respond to; if not, develop it a bit more, ask questions, find common ground between the two muses interacting. This isn't an issue per se, as everyone has their own writing style, but it's a good reminder to always put effort into your replies, even if the muses aren’t directly connected in any way. We’re not saying long replies are the only way—absolutely not—that’s not the point at all. But everybody need to give the other person something to respond to, or else the conversation will die early on.

Last but not least, memes. we’ve had three memes so far and have encountered the same issue each time: not everyone is sending asks to others. While Tumblr can sometimes eat asks, it’s unlikely that more than half of them are getting lost. We know it can be a lot of work to send asks to 30+ celebs, but everyone is here to have fun, and it’s not fair to those who put in the effort to not receive as many as they expect and deserve. The rules are simple: if you reblog a meme with multiple muses, you must send an ask for each muse you’ve reblogged with. Make sure to go back and send asks to those who reblogged after you, every day until the meme ends. If you can’t be around right in that moment to do the meme, wait to reply until you’re actually available, or at least make sure you have enough time to send in questions before reblogging. We hate to do this, but this is an issue we can’t ignore. For the next meme, we’ll do a test and ask everyone to send asks off-anon. OG PR Anon Here: After these past few days, I feel like I’m 1000% that I was right about LN having a PR strategy meeting with his team. My guess is that his agent had got him and a comms team together prior to the start of these last two weeks of promo. I stated that he’d be on a “social media good will tour” and that’s exactly what is happening. My evidence: 1. He’s hired a SM manager (I’m confident in this) - The increase in stories and the BTS Bridgerton post. This is unusual from him, we haven’t seen this at all during the beginning of the promo. He’s handed off his socials to someone who can work on the fan interaction. (lots of celebs do this honestly as SM can be a lot so kudos to him for giving up the reigns on something he may not enjoy) 2. The prank video ended up in both People Magazine and ET. Both of those publications 99% of the time get their content from celeb comms teams. His team submitted those to get his name out there. 3. I had mentioned in my first post that we would probably see LN take the lead in interviews and from what I saw at the Canada event, he did the majority of the talking on that stage. NC kept her microphone down and let him do the talking. He did really well too!

But we’ve seen Luke consistently posting throughout this whole promo tour, pics, BTS, etc, the prank video Nic did to him also ended up in publications, as well as Kelly Clarkson, he’s taken the lead in each country as well throughout interviews not all the time but he’s done so a fair amount

I’m just pointing out I’ve seen these things already throughout this tour - and I don’t buy into the PR narrative entirely because they’ve spoken about how they give each other turns to speak, they’ve spoken about how they couldn’t wait to share BTS from the season, and how they’ve been able to stop repressing themselves from their natural chemistry

I’m not trying to be combative here it’s just when they themselves have spoken out about these things it’s hard to say it’s 100 percent PR, do I think some of it is? Yes but not their actual relationship… Nic has been dubbed one of the most genuine actresses and we haven’t seen Luke in his true light long enough but I know people that have met him and have said he’s very genuine and sweet I don’t think these two would be able to just flat out fake or lie about who they really are, which they’ve repeatedly told us

And I’m not sure it would make sense for him to hand over to his social media manager now when it’s nearly the end of the world tour? And the end of their season? That doesn’t make sense to me….but I guess it’s just me….

An opinion/theory I have that is based on nothing but vibes, my opinion on relationships and and my love for armchair psychology is that I don't think Joe ever really planned on settling down with Taylor. I'm not saying he wasn't in love with her or wasn't committed to her when he was with her, but I think deep down he knew (maybe only subconsciously) that this wasn't going to be forever.

I remember as early as 2021 there were rumours that the two of them were engaged and last year there were "secret marriage" rumours. When me and my brother would have our celeb gossip sessions he was the one who said they probably were married and would announce it at a later date, whilst I didn't really buy it I did think that it might be a possibility given how long their very serious relationship has been going. Like in 2017 you had Taylor singing about wanting to be his endgame and their sex life. Then in 2019 she mentioned marriage several times and how she'll never get over it if she loses him, and then the following year you had her mentioning giving him a child. After all this you'd be forgiven for assuming it means that they've had the conversation about marriage and children being a foregone conclusion.

Because of this, plus them both being in their 30s last year there was no reason why there wouldn't at least be a ring given on bended knee. But then midnights came out and after listening to it, especially to lavender haze, I realised that man don't want her and that relationship isn't going to last all that much longer. That post where his inner circle knew the breakup was coming for a while does go well with my theory so I choose to believe it. (Confirmation bias and all that)

People who think that maybe it was Taylor that didn't want to settle down or get engaged or that she was okay going that long without a ring really need to look at the kind of woman Taylor is. She was raised in a wealthy white conservative republican environment where girls are taught your achievements are nothing unless a man has married you. She's been looking for a husband since she came of age which is maybe why she gets attached so easily and is so bitter when it doesn't work out. Or maybe because everything else came to her so easily without much work she thought a man would too. There is no doubt in my mind about who wanted out in that relationship.

I honestly understand why she's probably so embarrassed right now. Girl really went from "he better lock it down or I won't stick around" to "all anyone wants to know is if I'm your wife". And then she got dumped. She could have saved herself the trouble by putting her money where her mouth is and dipped.

When you get anons asking why someone who seems like a great guy would be with someone like her, I think whilst she did probably pretend to be someone who wanted the same things he did and he was in love with her so he went along with it, but I also think he wasn't 100% fooled which is why their relationship ending was just a breakup and not a divorce.

We want to address something that has been brought to our attention by one of our members. For the most part, this post is just a gentle reminder but it is something that needs to be refreshed in our memories when interacting within the group.

First, we want to talk about branching out to new people within the group. Actively, we try and prevent ‘bubble rping’ and although we haven’t had a ton of issues of this within the last few months, we have noticed in our more recent activity checks that it is starting to creep up again and we want to nip it before it becomes a bigger issue. We want to remind you all that bubble rping is not something we condone here at Hollywood Fame. We encourage you all to always look for new connections and interactions within the group, even the unlikely ones. Sometimes we may be intimidated to interact with a FC that we have little to no knowledge of but sometimes those are the beginning of a beloved connection that you didn’t see coming. Regardless of lack of knowledge on a FC, we want to continue to encourage you all that you should be making connections with any and everyone who is willing to offer you the same. That being said, role play is a TWO WAY STREET. If someone is giving you the effort to plot, interact, and write with you then you should be giving them the common courtesy of giving the same effort in return. It’s not a great feeling to have someone reply to your things and only be met with half the reply or little to no effort in keeping the conversation alive. Please be mindful that if people are taking the time to give you a reply, you should always be returning it with the same energy and effort. And to those who feel as if their FC is ‘less popular’ please also take the time to be on the dash and explain who your FC is and what they do. Yes, it’ll get tiring to say the same thing over and over again but it’s opening up opportunities for new interactions and for people to learn! Because let’s face it, we all can’t keep track of every single celeb here, what they do, and who they are. So giving updates and showing people who your FC is will be great for everyone! And in that very breath, we expect our members to always be open and willing to learn about new FCs as well. Ask questions to engage in conversations, find similarities - that’s the whole point of rping in a group! To build those unlikely connections and watch it grow into something great!

With that, we would also like to address patience and empathy for replies in general. Life happens and it does come first which is why we will always encourage you all to be patient when it comes to replies from other muns.   Please give people a reasonable amount of time to reply as there are countless of reasons why they may not be able to right away.  We get that it can be frustrating waiting for people to reply back to your things but we also know that it can be hard to log on and do them when life calls. If it does seem to be a decent amount of time since, five days or so, then please do reach out to your fellow member and give them a gentle nudge in their IMs or ask. More often than not, it's sitting in their drafts and completely slipped their mind or life has been hectic on their end and replies are coming in the following days. Communication is key and will almost always put an ease to your mind about things that are bothering you.

  On the other end of things, dropping replies is not something you should ever be doing  unless you're planning to start up something new with the mun. Conversations do stretch out over weeks and admittedly, they do die out over time, but in no way is that okay to just forget about the mun that was giving you the effort to interact with your FC. If you do find that a conversation has died out, please do message the mun personally and reach out for something new or offer to plot with them for something in the near future. the good-ish:

bambi is bubbly, and sweet, and lovely! as a funshine bear rising, she does her best to see the silver lining of every rain cloud - but as a grumpy bear moon, she can't help but fall dejected fast sometimes! on the bright side, when bambi is dejected it's kind of like when a small dog refuses to get out of bed? if you bring her a cup of hot chocolate and offer to watch a musical on DVD with her, she'll usually crawl out.

bambi is extremely giving: she loves to buy gifts, she loves to make clothes for people, and she loves to host little togethers (slumber parties especially)! her generosity may be to her detriment in the grand scheme of things, though, because sometimes it seems like she might have that obedience curse from ella enchanted. nine times out ten, you can tell her to jump, and she'll ask how high! she'll give you the dress she's literally wearing if she's got another stuffed in her bag - and she usually does!

obviously she's nice - you can't do all she does without being nice - but if you look a little closer, you might see her as the voracious people pleaser that she is. do her actions make people feel good? absolutely! but with selfish intentions (even if pleasing her own emotional compulsion is completely harmless to others) she's not getting into the good place any time soon. not until she sees a therapist, at least! but she can't help herself. all bambi has ever really wanted is friends, and a new family since she left her own.

the family trauma!!! ;pppp:

bambi's parents let her have her bratz dolls, and her bears, but she was also forced into some ideals that were a little too strict for her free spirit. growing up catholic is hard, fr. it came with too many rules, and too much guilt to handle. the constant threat of hellfire, and getting ostracized for being who she really is was the final straw for the sweet hearted girl!!! one night she wrote a goodbye note, and slipped out her window. she's kept in touch with some of them over the years (her siblings at least, mom and dad more or less ignore her existence) but she's more or less been missing from their lives since she was sixteen years old.

bambi has been living with her aunt in new zeppelin since she ran away from home. she finished high school in the city, of course, vehemently refusing to let herself miss out on prom, and homecoming games, and the formative friendships! but since her aunt couldn't exactly support a whole entire teenager, she's basically been working full time she arrived. balancing high school and her entire work schedule was tough, but at least she learned how to hustle! exactly what she needs if she's going to break into the fashion world anytime soon. ( she's only been trying for the last six years! )

bambers is maaad insecure. not only did she break away from her family way too early (like a kitten leaving it's mama before the 8 week mark), but her parents sort of instilled a lot of weird feelings in her!!! like she isn't good enough no matter how hard she tries!!! she overthinks everything, she's always kinda wondering what's wrong with her (even if a lot of it is internal wondering) and she has a hard time accepting that she's actually got friends! sometimes to the point that it might be hurtful to the people who care about her!!

bambi basically tells NOBODY about her past!!! NEVER believe her if she excuses herself by saying her mom is calling, because it's not true. she literally lies about her family all the time!!! sometimes she'll tell people she's going home for the holidays, and then jet off to La Colony to buy cheap fabric and eat chinese food!!! she just does not want to be seen as THAT girl, yk? her grumpy bear days are one thing, but she refuses to be the broken-no-family-basically-an-orphan-girl!

bambi like,,, grew up on romance and fairy tales, and it grew into a delusional state about what romance looks like, and an idealized version of what she wants her romantic life to be!! despite the fantasies in her head, men really just are not her strong suit, as much as she wishes they were. to be fair, she might be a little overbearing... not to say that she's creepy, or anything!!! but she's got a big, big heart, and she falls quick. guys tend to friend zone her, disappear, or end up totally hurting her... but she also has a hard time seeing red flags!!! and is totes easy to manipulate. yikies. she's the owner of a lonely heart, fr, but she's holding out hope that she'll get her fairy tale romance one day.

bambi has like,,, a lot of stuffed animals, and a lot of dolls! but she's a pretty serious collector!! it totally freaks people out sometimes, but after a few visits with a carebear or two to hug, they usually warm up to it.

YES the rumors are true YES I slashed my standard (as of the last couple years) reading goal from 50 books to a humble 36 SIGH I have two wolves inside me telling me 1. to commit fully to the bit and 2. to trust my gut/instincts — with enough willpower I could force myself to hunker down and become a lean mean reading machine just to barely scrape by with an even 50 by the end of december for some imaginary accolade/clout/tradition on Amazon-Owned Goodreads Dot Com, or I could #BeReal with myself and accept my reading habits of the past few months as a litmus test of how things have been going + so shall continue to be. Bad Behavior by Mary Gaitskill

I was reading this around the time I watched this vintage gay erotica Equation to an Unknown (1980) where one of the reviews succinctly says it's "Erotic ennui" — this kinda perfectly sums up the vibe of this short story collection. sex-tinged dramas, though not melodramatic, not edge-of-your-seat high stakes, but just enough entangled emotional transactions to feel as if you're on the precipice of something only to be left in the cold. I'd been meaning to read Secretary for a while now and somehow didn't connect that this was the short story collection it came from?? kismet! I have a friend who doesn't like watching black-and-white movies or pretty much anything pre-80s because they "look so old" (bless her heart) — often (moreso lately) I feel the inverse of that with movies post 2000s where sometimes everything looks/feels too new and sleek and sometimes the mere sight of a cell phone is enough to turn me off. all this to say, I did try watching Secretary but turned it off after 15 minutes bc it didn't feel right at the moment and I wanted to sit with the tepid yet strangely alluring bubble of the original story a little longer. the last story was my favorite and made me cry lolol

The Essential Dykes to Watch Out For by Alison Bechdel

there's nothing I could say that would do this justice GOD I'm obsessed with this! somehow I've read every Bechdel work Except any of dtwof, but I'm glad I waited to read it in this collective form rather than in bits + pieces. I love all the details and references Bechdel puts into every panel — I swear I must've added like 20 books to my TBR list while reading Fun Home — and how effortlessly the state of US politics gets weaved into the background of their lives in a way that really puts you in that time and place. there's clearly so much love and humor and dedication she has for her community, but I love how she doesn't shy away from community in-fighting and hypocrisies — the desire to live a happy and fulfilled life without being a liberal "sellout" queer, and what that even means depending on who you are etc etc. it's also strangely assuring to read these arguments and discussions amongst the friends and how relevant and fresh it all still feels? like we're still having the same arguments and worrying about the same things decades later and it sucks but there's also this string of consistent humanity threading it together idk we're never alone in our experiences n time is a circle n all that jazz. loved that no character felt wasted or sidelined for the sake of a "greater" plot, loved how even the children and men had their own motives/personalities, SIMPLY LOVED IT ALL + I'M HEARTBROKEN IT'S OVER! </3 (though I read they're doing an audible version soon with a buncha celebs so I'm Intrigued by that)

Dogeaters by Jessica Hagedorn

Magnolia (1999) but for Filipinos!! thrumming with chaos and desperation and anger. Similar to Bad Behavior with its lack of loose ends being tied up nicely at the end. I fear I'm too cynical nowadays to put much weight in "representation" and the corporate intentions that back it, hallmark movie endings with a very glossed-over + white-approved "see? we're just like you!" message. that sentiment is not present here whatsoever, and I adore Jessica Hagedorn for that. unhealthy family dynamics and power structures and the curse that is American colonialism thrusting itself into your very concept of what you want in life. obviously (and unfortunately) Many can connect to that, but this book is so distinctly FIlipino, so specific and dedicated to a Filipino experience, that I can only laugh at negative reviews from (white) people complaining about what an incomprehensible mess it is or how there should've been a glossary to explain certain terms and aspects of Filipino culture, etc etc. I'd like to think it was intentional of Hagedorn to omit a glossary or footnotes or much explanation at all — a big FUCK YOU / THIS ISN'T FOR YOU and I love it. could even argue that that was one of the messages at the core of each of these intertwining stories. I read The Gangster of Love and watched the play in college and was equally floored with its anger at the world, how it kinda spits in your face when you're waiting for conventions or comfort. love love loved this so much, I do not mean it lightly when I say Miss Hagedorn is my hero

I wanna go on a little ramble about the papz photos and this weird couples holiday.

On Tuesday at 11:25am (British time zone (BST)) Max jet touches down in Sardinia. Hours later Maria posts a pic from the jet window with the tagged location of Sardinia. Then at 5pm (BST) the daily Mail release papz shoots of them at the airport getting off the plane. The photos were taken by ciaopix and Italian papz agency, for someone to know they'd be there at that airport and at what time, someone had to have tipped the papz off. The article was written by Bethan Edwards who is followed by pageboyprojects, she has also written serval recent articles about kelly on the DM.

The second papz pictures come out on the 3rd of august, the Tumblr account reigningmax release them, the same Tumblr account that released the first set of st Bart's photos. (Not gonna get into how they have access to the photos, something to do with they pay a papz agency for access to all their celeb photos, idk.)

This account seems to have 2 sets of photos from different days, the ones on the beach where max is wearing blue shorts and a white Simpsons top, Kelly wearing a Chanel swimsuit, light grey trousers and a Celine basket bag.

Now the interesting part comes with this fourth set of papz pics. Released by Justjared and taken by backgrid, who are known for celebs calling them to tell them where they are. The kardashians and Hailey Bieber all use them. Now, these photos look to have been taken at their private villa, which none of the group had posted the location of it anywhere making it unlikely papz were just waiting outside to take pictures. Meaning someone would have probably tipped them off to where they were staying. They were released yesterday at 7:30 pm (BST) and its obvious they didn't do they're research cause despite naming kelly in the headline, they named P as 'their friends children' instead of Kelly's kid.

Justjared released the pictures of kika and Pierre about a month back on the beach.

Also, they are wearing the same outfits as the first lot of beach photos.

Now Kelly has asked her fans to delete the ones from the villa but none of the others. If this were about privacy she would have asked for all the papz pictures to be deleted but she didn't.

So for a little timeline, I'm guessing the villa and beach ones were took on the Tuesday the 2nd and the boat ones and restaurant on the Wednesday 3rd.

Throughout this tho I noticed that maxv1stappen__ hasn't posted any of the papz pics, despite posting the ones from st tropez and St barts.

Max's jet is still in Switzerland for maintenance and repairs so I don't think we'll actually know when they're back in Monaco, unless Kelly or even brad posts.

the boys are just really protective of someone as young as you. it’s your first time / you’re new to the music industry so they want to make sure it’s a positive experience and not unhealthy / scary / toxic place!

FRRR i can imagine like the boys wanted you to join them on the couch maybe to watch a movie but getting a little disappointed when you won’t leave your bunk, purely because you’re shy and nervous so they make an effort to do things with you to feel more comfortable around them. whether that’s being invited on coffee runs or helping them un load the instruments. just something to get ya talking and comfortable in their presence

omg! i love it!! it would make sense then as too why ya is like 16-17 and meeting the boys for the first time too.

ya probably doesn’t have a supportive family / parents due to maybe them wanting different career plans etc and such so they weren’t expecting them to show up to their graduation. handing out invites to the boys not even expecting them to show up too. so walking out on stage to find the boys there in suits all dressed up nice for your special day had you nearly crying.

after the ceremony you just crash into a big group hug and crying. it was the most nicest thing anyone’s ever done. the boys being like “we’re so proud of you kid”

maybe you move in with the boys 😭 like roommates and that’s where you wanna go to a party but someone’s like “dude you got first leg of the tour tomorrow you can’t” but you end up sneaking out and one of the boys coming to collect you with this disappointing yet tired look. sitting in the car like giving a talking “you can be a kid and a reckless teenager but think about the consequences that may have on your public image”
