Like, they're polar opposites. She's quiet, sweet, and tender hearted. She keeps to herself for the most part and is good at self-regulating her emotions, but when she gets too overwhelmed, upset, mad, or stressed, she totally breaks and has a hard time cooling down. How would Judd handle her strong emotions?

like say she's really pissed and is about to get into a fight? i don't think he'd stop her unless it wouldn't be good for her in the long run. like if it risks her bright future or he could see her having to go to hospital

when it comes to work? be it a job or school then he'd definitely make sure she got breaks before she breaks down or burns out completely

he'd probably give her a rage room, like he'd build a cutesy shed and the inside of it is where she can scream, throw, punch, kick and break things as much as she wants

he's very much an actions over words, ya know? although if she just needed him to sit with her for a bit and repeat reassuring phrases he would

Not a fan. It even has one more “the” than it ought to. That’s a tryhard name. (Rose and The Doc don’t even part ways for another season! It’s a LIE!)

Army of Ghosts / Doomsday

6/10. Army of Ghosts! That’s freaky! It catches my attention! I’m interested, Mr. Davies, tell me more about that! Doomsday is also a generic name though. Like it could be used anywhere. It gets more points than S1 however because Doomsday is a very cool word and I like it a lot.

Utopia / The Sound of Drums / Last of the Time Lords

8/10. YES. I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT THESE TITLES. Utopia? That’s a word that can’t be applied to many other episodes! That’s a memorable word! That’s a fun word! The Sound of Drums? What the hell is so significant about drums?? In a FINALE episode?! There must be something SCANDALOUS about the drums, tell me everything! (And they did! But this isn’t about what happens in the episode this is just how hard the titles fuck.) Last of the Time Lords??? Holy shit! That means we’re delving into that aspect of him specifically, and you can’t duplicate that easily! But more importantly, that sounds cool! Cool names, absolutely W from whoever named RTD’s stuff.

5.5/10. Same boat as S1, tbh. The Stolen Earth? Excellent, no notes. Journey’s End sounds generic af though. But I gave it a half point lead because Journey’s End has the Vibes more than The Parting of the Ways, lol.

and this is a really good question!! I think for me, the way my brain works is that I’m not thinking about a fic unless I’m actively about to write it or am writing it—that’s why it feels like such a big deal to me when an ao3 fic/au gets a Google doc because if it’s not literally open as one of the tabs in my browser or im not actively answering an ask about it, I’m liable to forget, no matter how interested I am in the prompt/fic

(this is also why my browser is a mess with like 6 or 7 open Google doc tabs right now tbh)

so the silly oneshots I have, both gffa and not, definitely consume my time and mind when I’m writing them but then after they’re done, I don’t think about them as much because it’s posted and over — and I’m writing something else. The longer, multi-chapter fics probably take up more room in my mind because they’re something I have to plan or at least something I have to continuously write

And in general, I think writing a chapter update for a fic takes me longer than writing a one shot (especially a silly one shot) because I do want the tone to match the rest of the fic & the characterization to track & I want to make sure that I’m setting up action for the next chapter/that there’s filler but that in general we’re moving forward with the story

I was writing about Robert being upset because Giselle left the house after midnight to get a pizza she was craving while pregnant, and it got me thinking. How Adam was during Belle’s pregnancies (aside from the general worrying) Like they have people who could do it for them, of course, but was he often leaving the bed to get her tea or a random meal at 3am? or would she just go get it herself? would THAT worry him because “you’re pregnant and shouldn’t be on your feet 😠” idk basically just. asking about Adelle pregnant things 🫡

i will say off the bat, adam is simply at his WORST when belle is pregnant. they get into The Most bickering matches during these times. it just so prominently brings out their biggest difference, which is that adam is a little ball of anxiety and belle is a free-spirited wild flower. now of COURSE, belle Does worry, she has concern over her family. (i think all the time about when maurice is leaving for the market and belle says “stay safe” like !! she does worry!!🥺) it’s just in general, and especially when she’s compared to her husband, she tends to think things will be Okay. for the most part. her worries are more situational. and with pregnancy she’s like “i’m young. i’m healthy. the midwives are unconcerned. we good 😌✌️” and if any of that changed she’d be like Oh Okay Noted🫡

whereas with adam, he just becomes so intensely protective of his family, because he never really expected to HAVE one (well, he definitely expected to have A Wife and Children™️, but he never anticipated actually CARING about them) so now that he does have them, and his heart is open and specifically beating FOR THEM!!! he just worries all the time :( and so when belle is PREGNANT it’s like!!!! AAHHH!!! he KNOWS his wife is still a strong powerful independent woman, but!!! there’s a Little Precious Darling in there now 🥺🥺🥺 and he doesn’t want anything to happen to either one of them!!! and he Knows this is a more delicate time!! even as capable as she is!!!! ESPECIALLY FOR THEIR FIRST HE IS JUST SUCH A DISASTER. AUGH. he always wants belle to rest and stop doing so much and just PLEASE try to act like SOMETHING is different!! but belle for the most part tends to carry on as if she’s not pregnant, as much as she possibly can, and that unfortunately infuriates adam 😮‍💨

as to your actual question, yeah belle definitely does that herself. very regularly. over time she does get more used to having servants but she never fully lets them do everything for her. but yeah!!! i actually have a fic of her sneaking down to the kitchen at like 4am because the baby was kicking up a storm and she couldn’t sleep. and she finds mrs. potts already starting the day baking something and they have a cute convo!!!!! the mother-daughter moment of it all!!!! anyway that’s this. but yeah she doesn’t bother waking adam up because she KNOWS he’d be like STAY THERE. I WILL FETCH YOU SUSTENANCE!!! (usually that means sending a servant to go get it. but i think he does get stuff directly sometimes, kind of just depends on if he wants to stretch his legs and/or needs A Moment to calm himself afjskdk) and she’s just like 😒😒 because she definitely would prefer the walk anyway. she’s a very active gal and i think the need for putting her feet up and all that is incredibly annoying to her. bed rest drives her CRAZYYYY my gosh. so adam just Reminding Her that she has to rest like, makes her want to strangle him <3 and if he Does catch her being on her feet when she shouldn’t, he always huffs and grumbles and she always glares and rolls her eyes in response.

NOW! that being said. pregnancy is a Journey and a Rollercoaster and i think there are definitely many times when belle is appreciative (and even demanding) of adam’s assistance. it PAINS her to ask for help, she’s just that independent of a person, but when she does, he’s always ready to help her and rarely gloats about it. like i have a scene in my docs that’s like, her Finally asking him to help put on her shoes. and he does it and then is like “i’m proud of you for asking! 🥰” and she’s like “yeah whatever 😒😒” lmao. he kisses her forehead and she HIDES HER SMILE BECAUSE GRRRR GO AWAY STOP BEING A NICE HUSBAND!!!! but then later she’ll be bawling her eyes out thinking about how all the autumn leaves are going away and dying and the weather is changing and that’s so sad😭😭😭 and adam will be there to hug her and remind her that they’ll come back in spring and by that time the baby will be here and you can show them all the flowers🥰 and then that makes her cry more because he painted such a sweet image in her mind.

belle’s pregnancies definitely always bring out a much much softer side to adam, as well. like YES he worries a lot and yes they bicker about it a lot, but he’s always such a softie for his darlings. they’re the only people that see him smile and laugh so much. so amidst all these worries and things, there are also so many soft moments too. moments of feeling the baby kick, of kissing her belly, of reading & singing to it, of day dreaming together about what this one will be like. fun debates like if it’s a boy or a girl, or what they’ll name them, or what color their eyes will be. (belle REALLY wanted them all to have adam’s blue eyes. but she had to wait til their last baby to get her wish🤧)

also especially the second and third pregnancies when other kiddos are involved. ESPECIALLY the third. renée is seven and FULL to the brim of opinions and questions, and both adam & belle love talking to her about it. i have a wip that i genuinely don’t know if i’ll ever finish or publish because it’s just adam & renée walking and having a back and forth conversation about the third baby. and renée just keeps asking questions so idk how it’s ever gonna end. that castle is full of hallways, and renée is full of words. they could do this forever. but it’s a fun character exercise <3 anyway, juliette as always is quieter in regards to her future little sibling, but belle cherishes the moments when jules will quietly put her hand on her bump and listen for her baby sibling. even in her less expressive face, belle can see her eyes light up when she feels the kicks and wiggles 🥹

i think this fic is a good example of what life was like just before their third was born. it includes good Adam Worrying™️ and them bickering, as well as the girlies being very cute 🥰🥰🥰

i also currently have a wip set when belle is newly pregnant with juliette, and she’s very nauseous (i think the nausea was Really bad for her for all 3 pregnancies 😭 but it only lasts for the first trimester. then she’s mostly okay besides usual tired/aches/cravings. but i can get more into that on another post 💖) anyway she’s very nauseous + renée is a BABY (when juliette is born, renée is freshly 2. so for the pregnancy she is. not even 2 yet 😮‍💨) so yeah it’s just adam taking care of his beloveds, mainly. adam does go get some tea for her in that one. actually you know what?? i should just go work on it so i can post it!!!! i’m gonna go do that 🏃‍♀️💨

IDK really is a whole mood isn’t it lmao! I actually have two docs like that, an IDK (this one) and an idk. 😂

Anyway, that one is this random Sylki tree-smut idea, operating on the premise that Loki is kind of… comatose-ish and his consciousness is trapped within the branches, that I had in the middle of the night and thought I could write quickly but kinda ran out of steam and now it’s trudging along 😭 I’m not feeling great about it at the moment and I’m pretty mad about that because I’m already 1200 words in. Anyway here’s a snippet:

Her want for him bleeds through. It flows along the branches that connect them, that surround him, and now he feels it, too.

Immediately, Sylvie wants to sever the enchantment, wants to run away and wait another hundred years for things to blow over. He can't reciprocate; Loki can hardly blink, let alone touch her the way that she desperately wishes, and therefore, why would he want to entertain the idea? Why should she?

Loki’s consciousness reacts before she can.

And it's… unexpected.

Loki does reciprocate.

It floods her awareness, pools and fills and overflows her senses; his combined desire alongside hers, sparking, almost, as they meet, the way she thinks, maybe, it did back when things were whatever semblance of normal you could call the event of their meeting and everything that happened shortly after.

It's more than she can process.

“I'll be back soon,” she promises, hurrying to let go of the strands and pull out her TemPad.

Could I is currently just a blank doc I made after that episode where Brad says “You could kill me with that!” And Loki says that very calm and calculated. I’m not even fully certain where I wanted to take it but I knew I wanted to do something with that moment. I think Loki was genuinely enjoying himself in that moment, even though it was mostly an act, and I wanted to explore ways that ~energy~ could be channeled into some Lokius kink, including Mobius’s murder kitten kink 😅

Sadist Sylvie/Mobius- thank you so much for asking about this one actually! I hadn’t thought about it in a long time and going back to peek at it reminded me how much I want to write this. Right now it’s just some notes. Basically the focus on Sylvie learning to trust herself by indulging her darker impulses with fragile little Mobius 🥺 Like, she’s only ever done this with people who were going to die anyway and kinda didn’t care what happened to them (wrote about this before and and that was fun to explore!), or with Loki, who can take whatever she dishes out because they’re evenly matched. But now basically Mobius suggests it knowing that she’s nervous about it, and they all do the thing together and it’s really cathartic or something. I guess it’s similar in this regard to my Lokius knifeplay fic! Anyway here’s a bit of my notes:

Loki stays and Sylvie thinks it's to protect Mobius but he's moral support for Sylvie telling her she's okay, she can do this

Maybe a few close calls when Mobius has to tell her it's too much, she loses it a little but they bring her back to it

Ricardo: omg omg omg okay so I have a fic in the works for this actually but idk when I’m actually gonna finish it so I’ll go ahead a give a summary. So I think, since he already had Karina, Ricardo and his s/o wouldn’t want to have a child, but then his s/o gets pregnant and when they get the positive test they’re actually excited but now also worried because Ricardo doesn’t want a kid. They know they can’t keep it a secret from him for long so they just decide to tell him as soon as he gets home from work. So he walks through the door, his s/o right there and they don’t know how to lead into it gently so they just say “I’m pregnant” and Ricardo’s eyes widen and he looks from their face to their stomach and back. Then he just drops his stuff, closing the distance between them and drops to his knees, pulling them in close and kissing their stomach a million times, saying “I love you” between each one. He holds them like that for a long time, only letting go when they tell him dinner is getting cold (he doesn’t want the mother of his child eating cold food!!!!!)

Otto/Doc Ock: this man… my god this man would be a happy wreck. He’d hold his s/o tight but also carefully because he doesn’t want to hurt the baby. Tears running down his face, a massive smile on his face, then moving to hold his s/o’s face in his hands and giving them the most loving kiss (yes he’d react the same way both pre- and post-accident Doc Ock wants babies with his s/o)

Robert: okay the first few were written sober I’m high now so Robert would probably sob and be super happy and holding his s/o tight omg he’d just be a shaking happy mess already thinking of baby names (okay I’m sober now reading this and it’s pretty accurate) also would be HELLA protective (so would all molina-verse characters, some more so than others)

Harold: *see robert* there’s not much else I can say he’s just really happy, oh I will say though that throughout the pregnancy he’d be glowing (like you know how people will tell someone who’s pregnant “omg you’re glowing!!!!” yeah he basically matches his s/o that way)

Harding: before he’d let himself celebrate, Harding would check his s/o himself to confirm they’re pregnant because he trusts his staff but with something as big as HAVING A CHILD he would want to be 100% certain because if somehow they weren’t actually pregnant the “loss” of the child would be too much for him (but also he’d be like “well now we just have to actually get you pregnant” aka lots of sex). Once confirmed he’d be extremely excited, probably buying “Baby’s First Surgery Kit” (if those exist idk I made it up)

Chandler: ok he’d fuck them first of all to celebrate, because the fact that he got his s/o pregnant is just insanely empowering to him and where does this power go? To his head (not that one, the other one). After that he’d actually be kinda nervous about being a father because he’s doesn’t exactly fit the “average dad” stereotype so it would worry him but his s/o would reassure him and after that he’d be very attentive to his s/o and also a great dad

Big Boss: “are ya sure? are ya DAMN sure? don’t tell me I’m gonna be a dad if ya aren’t fucking certain” again, super excited, but also is like Harding in the sense that he’d want the results triple checked. Probably would buy the baby a tiny cowboy hat

Manuel: lol okay so I have a wip that involves this sorta (not pregnancy, but his feelings towards pregnancy) so, going by that, he’d be thrilled and would ensure that his s/o is treated like a god

Edelweiss: like Harding, he’d want to see for himself, but, unlike Harding, it’d be because he just wants to watch the baby doing it’s thing, living it’s best life in the womb (this happens throughout the pregnancy, gets to the point where s/o brings something to do while Edelweiss watches the baby for hours on end via ultrasound)

Dick: *see robert* screaming, shaking, sobbing (good)

Arden: he’d pass out. Don’t get me wrong, when he wakes up he’s celebrating 1000%, but yeah he’d pass out

Dunlop: *see Otto/Doc/Robert* listen… a lot of the boys are very emotional and loving, it’s not my fault they’d react similarly they just really really love their s/o

Boris: *see robert* but like ten times that, I mean my welsh (? I think that’s correct) boy is so emotional and sensitive (I don’t say that bad btw!!!! it’s v good fuck toxic masculinity)

Armand: I feel like he’d initially be like “fuck I can’t do this I’m not gonna be a good dad” (he wouldn’t abandon his s/o or anything he’d just have doubts about himself as a parent at first) again s/o would reassure him, though he’d still be nervous about it until the baby is born, after seeing them for the first time he’d just fall right into the role of Chief Inspector Dad

Oswald: same as Robert, but before he’s happy sobbing he is sad/scared/guilty/disgusted-with-himself sobbing because he’s like “how could this perfect angel ever want to have a child with me?” but his s/o kisses away his tears and reassures him they want this child until he believes it (credit: @chrism02)

Andres: already knows, don’t know how but he does, has a room already set up as the nursery (and a room in the nearby hospital’s maternity ward on reserve for the next nine months, seriously no one is going to be in that room as a patient until his s/o goes into labor)

Diego: literally just super joyful laughing, hugging his s/o (maybe a little too) tight, also his mother would be so caring??? idk why I get that vibe from him that his mother would be like that, but yeah she’d be making his s/o so much food and giving them Diego’s old toys/other baby stuff

Maxim: literally anytime @Chrism02 has written Maxim finding out his s/o (the reader) is pregnant is his Canon™️ response imo

Hank: overwhelmed with a million emotions (he’s a politician, a pregnancy can be both good and bad for both his career and his personal life), but the prevailing emotion is joy (and he definitely flaunts his pregnant s/o in the public eye, he’s just like “hey this is my baby and there’s a baby in my baby it’s my double baby, my baby-baby, my baby squared”)

Frank: despite his affinity for objectification (aka his “sex toy” kink), Frank is also very domestic and loving, so he’d be over the moon about his s/o being pregnant! Literally just holds them as close as possible until his s/o finally has to pry him off of them

go-to outfit has been this sized up off-the-shoulder grey sweater (so so cute) and my favourite jeans <3 they're my mom's old lucky brand ones and they're cute and comfortable? uggs every day all day too <3

and i've been wearing these little silver hoops i got as a gift from my sister too they literally go with everything :3 love them

now WRIOTHESLEY... focusing on the holidays because i've worn such cute dinner party outfits this year!!! lots of cherry wine sweaters with black skirts n sheer black tights, curls with hair down ugh i love holiday outfits!! recycling the same one in diff fonts to every party jhdwajhef

“Well, Tom,” Neil starts, venom dripping from his voice. “I don’t make mistakes. I correct them.”

Billy watches a smile form in Tom’s profile. “Funny. So do I.”

Neil wouldn’t be stupid enough to throw a punch at a lawyer in front of a police station. At least, Billy doesn’t think he would, but he also doesn’t really feel like tempting fate, either. “Can we go home now? Wanna shower and get this jail funk off’a me.”

Neil doesn’t speak, but he does spit at the ground, keeping his eyes locked on Tom before turning to walk back to his truck. Billy has to resist the urge to roll his eyes. His father’s such a fucking cliche.

As Billy walks towards the passenger door, Neil’s already made it inside the vehicle, giving enough privacy for Tom to stop him with a soft call of his name. 

“Billy. Keep my number on hand, will ya? Don’t hesitate to call. For anything.”

Billy gets the message between the lines. Has no intention of ever seeing this guy again, though. He knows enough what happens to boys like him taking up offers from polite older men (and women, for that matter). Maybe if the guy had a fancier suit he’d consider it, but he can’t imagine a public defender has much to offer.

“Whatever,” is all he says before getting into the truck, Neil flooring it out of there.

Okay so I only hit two major spoilers before I managed to watch The Power of the Doctor...

That Eight was in it, and whom Jodie regenerates into, but luckily neither of those were the emotional beats that hit hardest for me (Tegan is one of my original companions, from the very first episode ever saw) so I was happy.

First impressions…

Jodie not eclipsed by cameos from other beloved characters? So Thirteen could be amazeballs and lovable in her swansong? Check.

Yaz got to be awesome, and at least a few touching/bonding moments between her and her Doctor, including carrying her 🥺? Check, although I wanted a goodbye hug (I'm really not that insistent on a smooch, but come on).

Sacha chewing ALL THE SCENERY OMFG and being brilliant? check.

Surprise cameos by Doc Martin and other favorites? Check.

SO MUCH 80s WHO FANSERVICE. DEAR GODS THAT WAS ALL FOR US, CHIBNALL YOU SELF-INDULGENT BASTARD, WHAT WILL THE NEWWHO FANS THINK? (Oh well, a certain segment has hated what you did despite Jodie being excellent, so sorry not sorry, just wish Nyssa and Peri weren't out of reach according to Big Finish continuity.)

Only problem with DT showing up is that people will be talking about him and not Jodie or Cutie. (I'm afraid I'm going to call the lad that because voice dictation, but also, he is.) Jodie has seldom gotten enough credit for her skill in the role, thank to scripts which like 80s Who varied wildly in quality from Enlightenment to Four to Doomsday.  And if we're not thinking about Jodie, we should be thinking about Cutie because it's his turn now! Her last line was meant for him!

Also afraid this may be it for Sacha. Which is a pity, as he is so damn good. Then again, I thought they weren't going to be able to find anyone to match Michelle Gomez.

Most of this romp was just entertaining and a bit light despite the body count, but there was one *ahem* exchange between the Doctor and Tegan that made me FEEL a twinge of cosmic angst from long ago. So happy for Janet. And Sophie, but I know Janet. I wonder how many of Tegan's lines were left to her to tweak. Looking forward to Long Island con more than ever, so that we can hear her hold forth! I will do my best to report.

Oh hey. I did not cry. There were too many Jodie smiles to soften the goodbye. Although that bit with Tegan almost did me in. Remember, I saw her original departure live.

Just in case y'all don't have 80s Who burned into your brainstem...all the companions clustered around the Doctor on the floor was a callback to Logopolis, which Chibnall already visually quoted once before at the end of Woman Who Fell to Earth after Grace fell, putting Thirteen in the Watcher's place.

First of all, we really do think alike apparently, because I also checked the wordcount of my feedback before sending it and it's probably the longest one I've ever written and will ever write. Even without all of the quotes it's like over 2k words, I really don't know how to shut up 😭😭😭

I can just read about your stories forever, even when it comes to commentary about them.

I watched the mv for 'when you're gone' and I totally agree with you that that scene matches OC's mood in the beginning of the chapter very well 😔😔😔 It also matches the way I was reading the Valentine’s day drabble, smiling at how adorable they were when I knew how we left off in cmi6. I've said it before but I'll say it again, the thing that hurts the most is knowing how happy they're able to make each other and seeing how they're now hurting each other instead 😭😭😭

Also about the rambling to my sister lmao. Cmi is the first fic I've properly talked to her about (she reads fanfic too, just not bts ones) and I was fully ranting to her about how Jungkook was keeping everything in and trying to be strong until he couldn't anymore, and now he's ignoring OC, I don't think I've ever ranted so much even about a real life person lmao. I might have not painted him in the best light because of how mad I was though 😔😔😔 But I probably will just ramble about how cute he is to her later on when everything works out 😌😌😌

Also also everyone has been adding onto the sadness and angst here and I don't know how they do it, because every time I even think about OC with someone else or just them being even sadder I want to cry lmao. But I still love reading everybody adding to the chaos, I can't lie.
