My thoughts on the mashle stage play becuz I'm sad I didn't record the whole thing

Only thing I didn't record but I did watch once was the Abel vs Mash part so I think I'm okay enough.

So, overall it was fun. Reminds me of how much fun I had while watching one of the mha stage plays (think the 3rd).

I love the details they added in this medium:

1. Mash NEVER sings showing just how unmagic he is (really looking forward to what the Divine Visionaries will sound like) it reminded me of Shrek and why the Shrek musical felt weird when I watched it. Like everybody sings and dances—except for Mash which really shows just how out of place he is. It makes you focus on the other characters too ngl.

2. Mash's muscles wearing creampuffs for headgear AND having nametags was just *chef's kiss*. I found it extra funny and they really help emphasise the absurdity of Mash's physical powers AND have their own personalities? They're like Mash's minions—the Duello moment where they score a bunch of goals—iconic.

3. Just the stagehands/prop ppl in general working with the projector to make the magic—magic itself in reality was extra cool. Like Abyss' Secondth Spell set up was kinda wild as if his own magic wasn't with the people waving around arrow flags. Using fabric for Wirth's Mud stuff. HECK THEY ONLY HAD 3 PARTISAN PROPS AND STILL MADE IT LOOK COOL.

The first door prop was wild. I think they used magnets in order to make it work. Pls use it againnnn in the next stage play.

The way Lemon and Love are the only two who use the rewind function is really funny, becuz Lemon's is for her introduction solo song and also semi-glosses over what happened during the entrance exam just like the rest of it was in song while also establishing her delulu love for Mash, honestly she's so real for it. Meanwhile, Love's isn't a musical number and is just the one where she explains how they got duped a coin. The use of practical magic tricks is really cool (I think they used one for the coin itself, those flipping blinds things to make the illusion of a diff object yk.)

The Magia Lupus choir-y ensemble songs were prolly one of my favourites, although I think it's just becuz I really liked Love Cute's presence as a whole since they only focused on Love, Wirth, Abyss and Abel as like the lead singers and Shuen is nowhere in sight? (I forgot if he was Magia Lupus in the first place) alongside the Finn-Lemon duet about like "ganbare Mash" (istg they made FinnMash so much more possible with this one song) and they're like definitely bestie coded 100%.

Anything with Mash's muscles is super funny too.

Lance's solos are emo, Dot had such a main character entrance but I dunno how to feel about the fact he doesn't tuck in his shirt (for context: the tea and the grades) but the fact I can't tell when his actor changes his fucking wig for the Ira Kreuz reveal is crazy.

RAYNE'S ENTRANCE GUYS. Bro has like my favourite musical solo entrance out of all of them. AND HE ALSO DANCES. HE FUCKING DANCES GUYS. KPOP IDOL RAYNE IS SO CLOSE TO BEING REALITY GUYS. They triple killed me in less than 10 minutes for that one.

Also the way they manage to put on the puppet masks without ruining the pacing makes me lose my mind becuz like... HOW???

I forgot to mention Wahlberg but honestly, him and Regro weren't my favourite favourite parts—I think it's becuz they have a lot of exposition dumps and more of a comedy out of the plot element since him and the cop interact with the audience quite a bit—oh but the acting that Regro does to make it look like he's squeezing from the neck makes you as the audience feel and believe his pain (when tehre isn't any). Like it was convincing. Plus they were funny during the entrance exam, they were dancing too.

Also Wahlberg pulled off the flash-paper thing. It was cool. I'm hoping for the thirds magic they make it look really cool in the next stage play.

The best part I looked forward too... was the Shu Cream Funk dance the main 5 did. They also made the others do it on the 2nd and 3rd time. Including Rayne. I recorded this in low-res. It was great.

Overall, highly entertaining. I think considering how they had to cut down 4 hours down to 2 hours with song, choreo (fight and dance numbers) they were pretty successful. I just think as someone who cannot understand japanese that the first 20 minutes was really REAAALLLY plot dump exposition a bit like the funny stuff from Ep 2 and Ep 3 with the entrance exam doesn't exist.

But they made up for it enough.

There's a lot that I skipped like the bullying thing and Bamboo guy. I don't remember his name but that's kinda covered with the rest. I'm really wondering how they're gonna pull off the next arc... I forgot who they cast...

so since we're already on the subject of the Crash Arc, allow me to expand on it for a moment before i get to Sally Thinkings! if you've read the snippet, you may have noticed the extent of Wally's injuries was not listed yet. well! he got messed up with a capital F! since it's fiction and i'm god in this scenario, i'm veering slightly away from realistic damage, immediate & lasting. bc lets be real. if i stuck to "this is as realistic as i can make it", then Wally would be aaaaaabsolutely fucked. it was a bad crash in a very unsafe vehicle at high speeds. like - this is what happened. a drunk driver hit Home going 70 down the freeway. swerve, fishtail, tumble down a (small, shallow, really its more like a glorified ditch) ravine with trees and rocks and shit on it. absolute miracle that Wally didn't die in the crash, let alone during the solid half hour (slightly longer) he was trapped in Home before someone noticed the crash site and called emergency personnel. Wally "hanging up" on Barnaby was actually the impact jarring him so he slipped and hit the end call button. but yeah without going into technicalities and detail, Wally has some lasting damage in his dominant hand. It takes extensive physical therapy for him to be able to paint/draw again at the same level he had been at. the hematoma hadn't done a lot of brain damage that wouldn't resolve itself with time. in my mind, when Wally wakes up in the hospital, for a few days he's very confused and his memory is shot. he'll wake up, interact, then go to sleep, but when he wakes up again its like waking up for the first time again. he just can't retain memories for a bit. he's got some severe brain fog. his mood is also kinda fucked with - he's uncharacteristically irritable with low patience, etc. these are all things that clear up with time, but in my mind Wally has chronic migraines going forward. bad ones! and there are days where it's harder fr him to concentrate. and yk. a teeny bit of chronic pain where his shin bone was pinned back together and where his hand was essentially crushed. but other than that he's fine going forward! good days and bad days!

but enough about that! You Want To Hear About Sally!

i imagine that she becomes quite successful in the theater industry. i'm not too familiar with it myself, so i'm gonna be uh. Vague about it? but she starts her own theater troupe - it's a bit of a commute from home base to the town she works in, where the theater is located in, but she makes it work! of the group, she's probably away more than any of them. working on shows, traveling to work on other ones - i like to think she's been on Broadway! she probably has had opportunities to do tv/movie acting, but idk... i feel like Sally would be like "nah. live shows or nothing". maybe at some point she takes up voice acting gigs, as long as she can do them from home. she probably has her own little room-turned-VA-studio thing. idk how that works either! it seems right! but yes Howdy's store's automated messages and advertisements are in Sally's voice. she's probably picked up a temporarily modeling gig here and there.

so Sally is very very busy. May I just say, I absolutely love every question you throw at me, it gives me time to flesh out my rewrite of FNAF a lot and I really appreciate it! Answer below as usual. Also I guess, spoilers for my rewrite?? (As if I haven't been constantly yapping about this)

His original motivation was indeed Evan. He was his most treasured valuable, and losing him was horrible for everyone, and also having your family slandered by everyone in the community and getting fired made things even worse. It made William become more unhinged than he's ever been before, and he kills Charlie as a result (it was accidental drunk rage)

Anyways he totally freaks out at this and drives away before anyone could see him. He tried his best to forget abt it and avoid the restaurant and Henry but he went back to the location eventually to take cash (cause yk he doesn't have money so he resorted to steal some because Henry never took Will's keys, and also he didn't change the locks) and then he notices something off about the puppet animatronic, it seems almost too alive. Out of curiosity, he checks the old Golden suits in the back and sees that Fredbear's suit seems weirdly twitchy for being inanimate. And he notices that a weird dark ooze spills out of the robots so he takes some of it to investigate more in his basement

Some library scouring here, some personal experiments here and he dubs the substance Remnant and deduced that maybe enough of this could maybe bring Evan back to life (so his plan was to pull a Victor Frankenstein, holy shit) so he originally killed the MCI to collect more remnant to eventually use for Evan's corpse to hopefully bring him back, it successfully brought back a rat he was testing (but he failed to see that the rat kept decaying even when it was still 'alive') So who's to say that Evan just wouldn't become some sort of zombie or something?

But he starts getting a little too into the killing children thing. When he killed the first three, he did it out of a necessity and didn't really have any feelings when doing so. But after Fritz and Cassidy he started to enjoy it (and as i said in the Cassidy post he didn't have to kill her but he did because he wanted to) it was the first time he's felt joy since before Evan's death. It actually kind of grossed him out, so for a while, he stopped killing. (Internal conflicts, he'll eventually completely embrace this horrible part of him, and also because it's to show that he could've just not done that but yk thats the consequences of his actions so...) But he still thought it wasn't enough remnant (it's an excuse for him to keep killing!)

But as I said before he likes doing things the easy way, and he thought maybe if I make robots to kill kids I just get remnant faster and uh oh. Liz dies. And he doesn't really like the fact that the children that he does tolerate somewhat keep dying so he ditches that idea. It also makes him even more crazy!

This moment kinda awakens a fear of death in him (as if he hasn't been surrounded by death by KILLING KIDS) so now he starts killing the DCI/KCI kids to get some remnant for himself (and also cause he likes killing kids) to live longer to 'keep working on his Evan project' (which he has been sidelining), then yk then he dies. And in my other posts I said he doesn't remember much of anything in his human life when he becomes Springtrap, so in his memories he killed kids just cause he thought it was fun and he wanted to be immortal. Same thing applies to Scraptrap and Glitchtrap (at least until he sees Gregory and it awakens the locked away memories he had of his family, but that's a story for another time!)

He's always had the potential to be evil (as it think everyone has that) but it took a while for him to fully become the monster he is deep down. Or something like that idk how to sound cool in text lmao

Pretty much, I have no idea how Adam and Lute's relationship started out, but judging by the fact that Adam keeps pushing others away, I'm pretty sure they were rivals before they turned into lovers (enemies to lovers thing, inspiration for this headcanon : "Thanks for the Venom" by @deadgirlwalking91 , it may not be necessary to also show the inspiration but imma show it anyway cause yes uvu)

Basically, I think that before they became lovers and stuff, Lute was like: "U STOOPID NI-" and Adam was just like: "lol get L + ratio'd loser", u get the idea XD

Tho, as time went on, when the two started to get to know each other more personally, Lute realizes she actually really likes Adam, and she's pretty much like: "WOT, I GOT FEELINGS FOR THAT DUMBASS?? THERS NO WAY UnU" cause she isn't used to relationships like Adam + she thinks she hates him with all her heart so she kinda tries to deny it (burning passion lol)

Adam also realizes that he really likes Lute (he's still a love-wanting little dummy), and he also tries to deny it, at first, but then he starts to realize that he actually fell HARD for Lute (bc he a lovey lovey dummy, tho I can't blame him for being like this, he was basically made to reproduce when u think about it, so it explains why he's so lustful). When he realizes this, he kinda starts to panic since denying wasn't really effective anymore, he kinda just has a panic attack, bc he basically vowed to himself to NEVER fall in love again (Lilith and Eve trauma) + he's just like: "DUDE, I HAVE SO MANY FUCKIN HOT MEGA BABES, AND I FELL FOR LUTE OUT OF ALL PEOPLE??? Because he realizes that he has hard feeling for Lute, but also thinks that she is automatically gonna reject him, he starts to push her away even more, being more obnoxious and annoying, even being straight up mean to her, like, straight UP mean.

BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUT, it somehow didn't work, and Lute just grew more closer to him (if yk one thing about Lute, Lute is a crazy bitch, so she'll just take this all the fricking way), then at one point, he just emotionally breaks down cause his feelings for her were getting too strong (for he also grew closer to Lute somehow), he goes home, takes off his mask and just destroys everything in his room, then ending up just.. crying

Now, here's what I think on how the two confessed to each other:

One day, Lute and Adam would be having an argument, going back and forth and things (context: Lute wanted to have a serious talk with Adam, but then she sees his real face for the first time while he was having another panic attack... and Adam is mortified by it..), it goes like this:

Ever since that day, the two decided to have some kind of an open relationship (not committed, since Adam is still traumatized as hell after what happened with Lilith, ESPECIALLY Eve, who he basically committed to even more, only for her to leave him suddenly without a trace, confessing his love to Lute obviously didn't automatically make his fears go away), and Adam and Lute just enjoyed each other's company xd

Okay today I'm giving my honest opinion about Earth Spark season 2 part 1 :D and I still think it's shit :DDD

Before anything, there are gonna be spoilers, so please don't read it if you want to have opinion on your own or just have fun of watching :D

Or when Splitfire is calling Megatron, Optimus and Elita old farts, she is fine when she is just sassy

Hi! I was re-reading the soulmate’s AU you did and I wondered how the story would have changed if our little fella saw underneath the wrist band sooner than he did. Like years prior or something? Like would he go bananas and go in denial or go bananas and try and tell her or he’d wait until he thought she would be ready to know? Because in the fic you made him more mature due of him kinda ‘growing up’ with everyone else so then I just wondered how his obnoxious little snot self would take it before he gained that maturity yk?

(Btw, this question references the ZAGR Soulmates AU from this fic, if anyone would like to check it out) Long answer under the cut, as I'm incapable of answering in short sentences.

If Zim had found out that he was Gaz's soulmate when they were kids, like let's say in the sort of maturity he was at during the cartoon, it would've been pretty disastrous lmao. Let's also assume he didn't find out during a moment when he could be interrupted, like in the fic.

Assuming that he understood what a human soulmate was in it's entirety when he found out, initially, he would've been very surprised. Shocked. He probably would've ran. Really solidified that it was what he thought it was before acting.

And then, IMMEDIATELY thereafter, he would've been incredibly smug. Gaz and Dib probably would've found out at the same time when he tried to use it to antagonize Dib. This would initially just be something that he could throw in his enemy's face. Some "Your planet is mine, Dib, and even your very sister is branded with my name!" kind of shit.

Gaz would fully have a crisis. Neither Membrane would initially believe him. Zim would probably do a lot of grandiose shit, like bringing Gaz huge bouquets of flowers solely to say something like "for my MATE" really loudly and smugly in front of Dib. It probably wouldn't initially even register that she was more than a tool to weaponize against Earth's self-proclaimed savior. Initially, the Membranes would realize that this bit of his was going on way too long. Dib would then make it his mission to learn to read Irken rather than just recognize the language waaaaay sooner than he would in the original AU to confirm that actually, yeah, Gaz's soulmate is Zim. Queue crisis for the humans.

Zim would eventually grow bored of the big showy displays. It's still really funny to him, but Dib also has other buttons to push, and he's got to keep all his insults fresh so he's not to be so predictable. Once he moves on though, it occurs to him that the end of the joke doesn't actually negate the fact that Gaz is still his soulmate. And just as stated in the AU, he has certain obligations towards her. He won't be dishonored by not fulfilling his end of the bond. An Irken caught neglecting their mate would be a laughingstock.

Gaz would start to notice the things he does to account for his obligations.

Minimoose starts hanging around her during large, explosion-worthy fights. She doesn't know why, and is pretty neutral about it, until a panicking citizen nearly runs into her. Minimoose's shield activates suddenly, protecting her, and leaving her really surprised. This happens whenever any debris, person, or other form of harm enters her vicinity. A couple times, Zim's robo-parents check her out of school and take her to his base. She doesn't see Zim, but she finds out later he was trying to blow up the campus again. She catches Minimoose or Gir hanging around her house when she's home alone. Sometimes, if she's in a rare good mood, she let's them hang out in her room while she does homework. Occasionally, she even talks to them.

She rarely, if ever, actually interacts with Zim. She gets the (correct) feeling pretty quickly that Zim's not really 'interested,' per se. That he's just doing his duty. The few times she does see him, like when he has to personally squirrel her to safety somewhere, they don't really acknowledge the elephant in the room. He just sort of watches her, and she mostly ignores him. It works for them. Nothing really changes, and that's just fine for both of them. Gaz might even prefer it. She'd probably end up assuming Zim was her soulmate because he was designed to just leave her alone.

Zim considers her a scary pet he has to keep an eye on. He sometimes eavesdrops on her conversations with his minions just because he can, and because he's curious. He doesn't really register it as bad or a progression of his interest in her. Just making sure his scary pet is fine. If he learns what snacks she prefers so that he can keep them in his base on the days he needs to kidnap her to keep her from bitching, well, whatever.

Eventually, Zim would inevitably kidnap her on a bad day. He'd interrupt something important, and she'd snap at him to just postpone whatever Big Evil Scheme(tm) he had that day. They'd argue about it, but eventually, Zim starts checking schemes against her schedule. He already (sort of) schedules schemes for convenient times for Dib, so that he enemy is not distracted by stupid things like homework or doctors appointments. It's not a big deal to check in with Gaz, too.

I think they'd be content with this small cordiality until Tak showed up. It'd just be too big of a catalyst not to matter. Whereas in the original AU, Zim is real sneaky out of necessity, in this situation where EVERYONE is aware of what's going on, Zim is WAAAYYY more territorial. It's one thing to screen and preemptively Gaz's social media from receiving messages from humans that could be interpreted as solicitous, but it's an entirely other for an Irken to actually show up and start spewing threats at her.

Suddenly Zim is alllll over her. Walks her to and from class. Camps outside on her roof, whether she knows it or not. Shoves an emergency beacon in her hands one afternoon with strict instructions to carry it around her at all times. When she tries to hand it back, unlike in the AU with that sweet, covert little bracelet as a 'casual gift,' she wakes up with a bracelet that literally cannot be removed attached to her wrist. Bitching about it gets her nowhere. Zim starts neglecting his fights with Dib to follow Gaz around and make sure Tak doesn't get the jump on her. It really grates on Gaz. Her worst fear was feeling like she was someone's property, and that's exactly how Zim is treating her. Like branded cattle.

Zim tries to contend with his responsibilities versus what he wants from Gaz. He's incredibly frustrated with her refusal to cooperate, and her lack of understanding. She's worse than obstinate, she's ungrateful. She should be honored that he's bothering to protect her! Why isn't she honored?!

I think that even after Tak and Dib worked out everything between them, Gaz and Zim would really not be on good terms. It was a great benefit for them to be mature-ish and working from a largely clean slate when they formalize their relationship. Having a ton of baggage and misunderstandings between them, especially with both of them being so headstrong and stubborn, would be a huge hurdle for them to overcome.

Legitimately and hilariously, I think Professor Membrane would have to be the intervening factor. Zim hanging around all the time would eventually mean they crossed paths not just as 'Dib's little foreign friend,' but as his daughter's mate. We saw in the Tak episode that Zim isn't about bitching to their father about his kids. I think Membrane would listen, and then stage an intervention with both of them. With Gaz, he'd sit her down an talk about their mother, and all the sappy love stuff that made it worth it for him to make compromises in his life to enjoy the time they had together. To Zim, he'd lecture him about the nature of his daughter, and how much she values her independence. How the loss of her mother made afraid of loss, and theorizing how their upbringing (aka his absence/neglect, without really taking accountability for it) may have affected her ability to trust the permanence of a soulmate.

I think that would finally be what made them sit down and work it out. It'd have to be a negotiation process. Zim can't always be out guarding Gaz. She needs her privacy. But as a compromise, she'd agree to scheduled check-ins. She'd agree to alert him to any potentially dangerous situations and let him come with. For example, it's my headcanon that Gaz would do a Membrane Labs internship in her college years. Zim would be there for any experiments that might go kaboom with a visitor's pass and a sharp eye. Instead of following Gaz around, they'd actually go on planned outings together. Date-adjacent hangouts until one or the other was comfortable with actual dates. It would've been a much slower, much less trusting and messy courtship, but they'd probably get to a good place when Gaz was in college.

Thinking of this question, I now like to think that, in this AU, on top of soulmate partners being fated, when they find out is also decided by some sort of cosmic destiny. Finding your partner at the right time is just as important as finding them in the first place.

Hi! So I just recently found your blog and I think it really helped me with the validation I needed by this new light I looked at Taylor.

So long story short I've been a swiftie for a long time now and trust me I WAS A BIG FAN like a total HARDCORE swiftie. But apparently I started to question stuff about the girl I put on a high pedestal for years after midnights was released and I'm not gonna lie that I totally like Would've, could've, should've but then I was like, miss girl wasn't that was approximately FOURTEEN YEARS AGO? Then I realized this pattern of her that she just can't seem to move on from the past like ever and the songs on midnights kinda solidified that and I think it's also because I really expected the sleepless nights of her to be yk not about her PAST relationships but it was 🫤

Then this M*atty Healy thing happened and I went down to a rabbit hole of why people may or may not like her music but don't like her and it just CLICKED. And tbh I kinda felt betrayed because of how deep I was in the whole parasocial relationship thing that apparently she encouraged and perhaps for the sake of sales and not for the sake that she probably really appreciates us Swifties. Like at that moment I just started to question EVERYTHING then I realized that this image of Taylor that I know is just a brand. That's it. I don't know her and I bought this image of her and somewhat became a part of her mob mentality. It's really devastating because I really thought she was being her authentic self in front of us but turns out it's probably all a show for the capitalist mindset of her and her team.

And it's such a shame because I still like her music but I am learning to separate it from the Taylor Swift TM but it's lowkey is pretty hard. Also such a shame in her part because I feel like if she was some underground singer that just focused on making music and didn't care about being number one on the charts or the sales or her public image - she wouldn't be the way she is now and wouldn't have half of the problems she has and had in her life (e.g. Kanye, some of her squad friends turning into enemies, her codependency (she seriously can't stay single and that screams codependency and not being able to be alone with yourself), constant seeking of validation and many more) and I feel like she would've been more humbler.

Another thing is that I don't blame swifties for the way that they are, I mean she cultivated it herself like if she had called out their disrespectful behaviors, they wouldn't be harassing people. Another is that if she had been more accountable for her actions, her fans would be too. The way she controlled the narrative during 2016 affected the entire fandom the way it is now. Such a shame that if people have a shit ton of money it's either that they give it away and yk not hoard it or let it go through their heads I mean despite the way she is now, I can't lie that though her rich ass parents jump started her career, all she wanted to do was just play songs but when she got super famous and earned a shit ton of money, that's where it all went down. It's like her fame emotionally stunted her. I seriously think she needs a therapist other than her mother because she literally sang a line about her mother always being on her side despite her being the wrong one. Andrea swift may have made her a nice child that said her thanks and showed appreciation but teaching her to take responsibility for her actions and take accountability for her wrong doings, she kinda slacked there perhaps.

That was when I realized that being famous and achieving the same level of influence as her... isn't always a glitz and glamour or cool enough for me to be jealous now (sure I would be about 'forever is the sweetest con' line (her writing) and her loving parents but still' like imagine spending the rest of you life just calculating every move that will contribute good in your image? And thinking about how to earn a million more dollars from your personal life and antagonize some people in it through your songs? Losing that one guy that really showed you what a healthy and loving relationship is because you wanted to continue your career built upon lies and deceit and capitalism? I'd rather continue being an invisible middle class.

Okay the scariest part of it all is how all the people she antagonizes don't have a say without being called sexist, misogynistic or a hater. But the most TERRIFYING part is how her legacy as this 'best' singer-songwriter of the 21sr century will live on without her entire fanbase seeing her in this light that I did. It's like brainwashing.

Everything I'm feeling right now is like Colors by Halsey as it's about a song of falling out of love with a person after the colors that you once loved about come out of them after they changed a lot negatively. Funny cause that song was about M*tty Healy.

dune part two babyy!!!!

i'll try to keep it as spoiler free as possible. as possible as a review can go i guess..... and as always this was a ramble and it's not really proofread my apologies my loves it's kinda late and my head hurts so this'll have to do!

THE SOUND WAS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOOOD OH MY FUCKING GOD MY EYES WERE ROLLING BACK INSIDE MY HEAD AFTER LIKE 10 SECONDS ALREADY that was great i loved it

but overall.... i definitely preferred the first one. i don't know maybe it was my own fault - that i was so excited and i might've gotten my hopes so far up but then again i really wasn't expecting anything......... i haven't read the book so i don't know the story and i avoided clips and trailers as much as i could. i guess the only expectation i had that it was gonna be mindblowing. it was okay. and it feels so weird to say it when all of the other reviews are so good lmao so yk i'm reminding us all that i am a simple Movie Watcher And I Know Nothing.

the difference between a good movie or a bad one for me is really simple for me. whether it makes me Feel something. anything. ok, not anything - boredom and annoyance don't really count here. dune part two kind of left me cold. yes, i got chills every once in a while but that was mostly because of the sound design and not because of whatever was happening on the screen.

chalamet had his moments. at the end at least. i thought he was great in the first one but this was kinda just meh. for the most part it just felt like he was there.... but he's literally the main character so that's not good lmao.

another thing that really threw me off was the non-existent chemistry between chalamet and zendaya. it's simply not there. but it's such a big part of the movie??????????? their first kiss was the biggest Meh of all time??????? well, actually pretty much all of their scenes were like that. "meh" isn't even a proper word but idk what else to use here i apologize. now that i'm thinking about it - i can't really give you an example of a good scene of theirs........ boo!

rebecca ferguson is great i love her but her part in this one wasn't too exciting either................... there really wasn't a single performance i feel like i should pluck out bc they were all just very mid. nothing special caught my eye and it's disappointing bc in the first one it's the complete opposite? oscar isaac is there, stellan skarsgård, dave bautista, jason mamoa???????, chalamet obviously, ferguson obviously - so where did all of that go in this one???

now i have two things that i wish had been a little different BUT but but there's a massive but here. neither of those things are villeneuve things. at all. so it's kind of stupid for me to even be bringing them up but am anyway. i wish there was more blood. sigh. pretty sure everyone that follows me already knows of my Bloodlust lmao but i really do think a few scenes would've been better, more effective with it. i'm not talking about blood splatter - it's not some crazy horror movie. i just wanted to see more of it. a pool of blood here and there. i mean the dead bodies were there. is that too much to ask for? maybe villeneuve is just going for the more realistic look...... but ahhh. there was a scene (not a big spoiler i promise) where a person is stabbed in the neck and even though the knife is left in there, there would still be blood coming out of it, no? or idk if he was a weirdo and his blood wouldn't have been red i just wanted SOMETHING to come out from there. it just looked kinda bland.

but since i am a villeneuve doesn't really do blood. in any of his films. it's always very little - mostly only the main characters get to have blood on them. paul (dune's mc) certainly had some on him in the end but LOOK IT JUST DIDN'T SATIATE MY THIRST AAAAAAAAAA it's whatever i guess i can't stay mad at him he's a god i love him

and the second thing, another thing he doesn't really do - fight scenes. here's a reminder that i very much love action movies and so i've seen enough of fight scenes to understand what makes one good and what makes one bad.... i wish he'd show the fights more. if a fight is all cut up - it feels incredibly fake. and that's exactly how the one-on-one fights were like in dune part two. very close-up and cut up. you can't see what's happening so it doesn't matter to you. if you can see more of their moves, you can kind of get more into it yourself but alas only seeing their upper bodies and their unamused faces doesn't really do that. scruntched eyebrows "grr i'm so angry". yeah, okay. show me your moves bitch boy i don't care about your face!!

perhaps i simply need to watch it again. maybe it'll be better the second time around but for now - it was a big big meh. it does feel weird to not be as not into it as everyone else seems to be. the good old rottentomatoes puts this on a whopping 95% while the first sits at a 83% and yk it just makes it seems that i'm really missing out on something lmao. if i do see it again and if the second watch actually changes something i will let you all know i can promise you that!!

very long story short - as an action buff and a villeneuve lover... this was kind of boring. sad emoji face. three stars out of five.

i prob shouldnt dislike her, and i def dont hate her. i do enjoy her chaaracter bc shes complex, and being here in teh outsiders fandom has def led me to not hate her. my feelings are complicated. im in the habit of disliking her, and its hard not to dislike her.

i also think that part of my dislike for cherry has to do w the fact that i read the outsiders when i was younger, and had more of a black-white mindset. in that time, cherry was cruel to pony and johnny, whcih made her bad. now, i can see that the characters are more nuanced, cherry and dally in particular. i didn't realize that before, and so i got into a sorta mindset of "cherry sucsks" and now its hard to escape that lol.

about the whole yeji situation it is intentional yes! im so glad you noticed its kinda hard to write such subtle things in smau without it being in your face because it's one of those things that i want ppl to notice but sometimes im like ahh idk if anyone would notice, i think for her she obviously views y/n as a rival but because she's left out (hence jinnie growing more distance ever since yeo came into her life) she tries to attack y/n with the only available card she has which is "you did smth bad to my friend" bc she doesn't know anything else and she wasn't even there when it all happened she only got snippets from the story and from jinnie's side when he was still feeling resentful towards y/n and you see the difference in this specific subject between her and lix (bc lix was there) he gets their bond sm more and it's so much easier for him to not hold it against y/n

•BB had a bike that was destroyed when they got captured, fangs got them a new one when they found out, BB almost cried

•fangs spent most their time before getting sent to earth (i really should check my lore info,but yk what i mean ) painting, they have a room where they paint and another where they store their paintings on top of their house-qualified room in the castle

•fangs genuinely didn't tell sasha about who they actually are just because it never came in a conversation

19. What do you think their teenage/childhood years were like?

Honestly I think he's been chronically online for a WHILE. Definitely was part of "the boys" in like. What middle school? Around 13-16. He was definitely one of them and god would he have been insufferable. So relatively normal. At least by today's standards. Apparantly the "boys are absolutely fucking insufferable save like 2 people" thing is almost exclusive to my cohort so. Maybe not as normal. He reminds me of them tho./neg

11. Favourite parts of the story n narrative surrounding them?

One that surprised me that I was interested in was how she views love. I'm aroace so I usually am. Really disinterested with themes and topics of romantic love especially (hence why I thought she was kinda boring when I first got into milgram) but honestly I love seeing how her perception of love is and how it's warped and yet she clings onto it so tightly that she says she'll die if she can't love the way she does (iirc. Haven't watched vds in forever but I swear she said something along those lines)

Within Milgram story wise I do think it's interesting how her injuries affect not just her but those around her, and I think it's interesting how they have it affect different characters differently, even to the point of being a big factor in another character's changes between trials. I like when characters affect other characters

12. What do you wish would be discussed more about them in the fandom?

I'm gonna be real I barely discuss mahiru myself 💥 cuz I tend to hyperfocus on the characters i was originally the most interested in. HOWEVER idothink she should be discussed more in general. She's a very interesting character and I want to know others people's thoughts on her and her murder and allat. Yippeee

13. Any idea on how their MV would've been like with a different verdict in t1?

OUGH ok hm. I think it would've stuck more closely to ainandesuyo's vibe. Esp since her ideals on how love is wouldn'tve been rejected. Think the rose tinted glasses parts of daisuki. Yeag mostly that. Maybe a few more cracks on the surface than ainandesuyo tho.

Idk I like to think she's a lil chubby. I follow milgrams designs almost to a T but I do also think she'd have slightly tanner skin. Maybe cuz she reminds me of a friend lmaooo

You've been struggling to make friends and talk to people all of your life, you've always been 'different' from the other kids you grew up around. They seemed to easily make friends and show their expressions much easier then you ever could, Your parents weren't much help either .. You'd always seem to get sick too, even if there was no reason for you to be sick. Your anxiety doubled back and got worse in your highschool years, as the teachers and students around you tried forcibly getting you to do things outside your comfort zone. There were plenty of times you ending up skipping and not showing up because of your classmates, You felt horrendously violated.

In your 4th year however, you saw a poster - directed to volleyball, if you had a passion for anything it was volleyball, You read it to fast taking a moment and seeing the volleyball team at your school needed a manager, heck yea! you've heard the guys aren't bad and are actually tolerable.. a bit too energetic though, shoving every voice that was telling you to just leave it to the back of your head, You told yourself you would go check it out, no matter how jitty and shaky you were, if you wanted to be apart of something it was this, you wanted to be known even if it'll only be for a little while.

Thursday, the day you were meant to go meet the team. You swear your legs just stopped in front of the gym, completely frozen second-thinking your choices, doubting every positive thought you had. "Oh hi! are you (f/n) (l/n)? to.. try out for manager?" you jerked looking behind yourself, it was Lev Haiba .. one of the middle blockers of the team? .. the self declared ace? You were so embarrassed, you swear you started shaking and stuttering even before you could open your mouth, nodding instead of making a fool out of yourself. "Don't talk much ey?" He beams a smile to you, nodding once again embarrassment hitting you once more, face completely pink. "Don't be shy (l/n) i promise you everyones great here :)" you look at him slightly, giving him a really wonky smile.. mouthing out a little "thank you".

You felt so intimidated, all these men and one of you. You didn't look at the guys properly rushing out your information, and everything that was required, hoping they wouldn't say too much and just eventually let you leave. It was tiresome, your social battery was already going flat it's only been 10 minutes into the interview, you shame yourself for turning out the way you did. It's okay 16 minutes in 4 minutes to go.

How the interview went:

Kuroo: "(f/n) (l/n) right?" You: *nods*

Kuroo: "why did you want to have this interview? what makes you think you will become our Manager?"

You: "I came today.. t-to um *looks down* i.. want- to t-try become your guys'.. m-manager." *slowly but ..eventually gives reasons why you think you'd be manager cus ur cool*

Kuroo: "I see *small smirk* , What do you know about volleyball? do you know what the team will acquire and seek from you as our manager?"

You: *says everything yk ab volleyball.. and yk more then him bwahah and like tell him what the team would acquire..*

Kuroo: *kinda baffled* "i see, i see.. thank you for your time (l/n) we'll let you know what we think of ya *grin* give us a couple of days.."

You: "o-okay." *bows to them and runs away*

It's been a week since you took that interview, doubting you'd got the position and that someone else had became manager. It didn't matter, you felt some sort of happiness that you at least tried.. out if you can even call it that. it was recess, you had chemistry homework the teacher asked you and your class to finish, not wanting to deal with it at home you used your time now to get it done, slightly frustrated because you hadn't learnt about half the things the teacher had gave out. sighing, huffing and puffing .. using all the brain you had left in you, you got it done to your absolute surprise "good enough" you mutter out, packing up your belongings to head to your next class.

You started walking to math, hoping the old bore of a teacher was once again absent, he does nothing but nag at the students. No where near a proper math teacher in your opinion, As long as your grades don't slip, it'll be okay you thought to yourself. You were smart, you had great grades in all your classes.. You tended to get your work done way before everyone else, this was carried on since young, sometimes teachers accused you of cheating. Never mind it, you were still thinking about the interview, wanting to know if someone did get accepted.. or if they were still thinking.

"i'll find out soon enough" you sigh to yourself.
