It’s apparent that Steve’s a bit of a soft!dom in this lovely story and that got me thinking…

How would he react if reader took on a little more dominance in the bedroom? 😏😮‍💨

I think if the tables were turned, Steve would love having the reader dominate him.

This would come as a surprise to him, because I doubt many of Steve’s fantasies include submission. However, when the roles shift and she takes control, he’d find himself enjoying the break from decision making. Being the one who relinquishes control wouldn’t come naturally to Steve, but if it was what the reader wanted, he’d be on board. Then, when he was finally in that position - being the one stripped of control - he’d be shocked to realize how much he needed that release of responsibility and tension. Submitting is a wonderful thing when you trust your partner. He’s definitely comfortable enough to give her power over him and wouldn’t hesitate to let her restrain him if she asked to.

He’d enjoy being the object of her desires, the center of attention, and relish the chance to anticipate what comes next because he doesn’t know what she has planned for him. Also, the fact that she’s gone to the trouble of planning a night for him would be a huge turn on for Steve. The fact that she wanted him and went to all the trouble of figuring out a way to restrain him (because she definitely sourced some vibranium handcuffs for their night) is oddly touching and kind of exciting.

And since he’s Steve Rogers, he’d be taking mental notes the entire time, thrilled by the chance to learn what your true desires and preferences are in this new context. Because he’s already planning on doing it again next weekend.

I’m here

It’s been a couple months. My mom restricted tumblr from my phone and uuuh, I can’t download anything without her knowing so that’s cool. I’m tired. I’m tired but I finally figured out the screen time passcode to my phone so I thought I’d talk with you all because I think some people might care 🤷‍♀️

It use to be bad (my mental state), but it’s mellowed out, I got use to it I guess. That being said I’m not sure about creating content too much, finding the time and motivation to is very difficult. It hurts coming back here and not feeling at home anymore. I don’t feel the same about art and I feel bland. Really meh. I want to go back but even if I tried to I think I’d just get beaten into the ground again (<- not literal please don’t call the cops).

That’s it I think. I love you very much and I hope you’re doing better than me right now.

do you ever get the urge to tell someone you love them?

Maybe they’ve been a significant other of yours for a long time. Maybe you met them off a dating app two weeks ago. Maybe they’re passing you by as you sit on a park bench. Something deep in the pit of your stomach wells up and dares to spring out of your throat, at any given moment without fear or worry of being caught, “I love you.” Without any consideration of the weighty consequences behind saying those words, “I love you.” No ties to the fight or flight we feel being on either end of that phrase. That ugly disgusting fat phrase. No.

It’s just a gentle reminder. It’s something so simple and helpless. Telling someone you love them is like telling grass to grow. It’s like telling a fish to swim. I was put on this earth to love freely. To be present, to smile, to love. To smoke as much weed as humanly possible. Of course I love you! You’re in my life! I talk to you, I am your friend! You are my world my everything I love you! You made it here to the world today and I couldn’t be happier for that! I love you! I love you!

"A story doesn't need a theme in order to be good" I'm only saying this once but a theme isn't some secret coded message an author weaves into a piece so that your English teacher can talk about Death or Family. A theme is a summary of an idea in the work. If the story is "Susan went grocery shopping and saw a weird bird" then it might have themes like 'birds don't belong in grocery stores' or 'nature is interesting and worth paying attention to' or 'small things can be worth hearing about.' Those could be the themes of the work. It doesn't matter if the author intended them or not, because reading is collaborative and the text gets its meaning from the reader (this is what "death of the author" means).

Every work has themes in it, and not just the ones your teachers made you read in high school. Stories that are bad or clearly not intended to have deep messages still have themes. It is inherent in being a story. All stories have themes, even if those themes are shallow, because stories are sentences connected together for the purpose of expressing ideas, and ideas are all that themes are.
