I saw you're taking Hazbin hotel requests so I thought I'd shoot my shot! So reader is a young boy who also died around Alastor's time(Early 1930s) . He's so confused and overwhelmed by how fast everything is progressing. So when he hears Alastor humming/singing a song from the 1930s he feels a sense of comfort and familiarity. Bonus if it also happens to be their favorite song! Take your time and you're amazing!
Oooh! Fourth Alastor request and I am having such a great time with this! This man is so fun to write for! After I finish here, I am gonna go cook some Jambalaya then pop it into my pentagram and summon Al so he can cook me!
Alastor- Night & Day
Tumblr media
Like the beat, beat, beat of the tom tom…
when the jungle shadows fall
like the tick, tick, tock of the stately clock
You don’t recognise anywhere you are… this place. It’s hot, dark, dangy and uncomfortable. There’s nothing here resembling Earth and it’s shaking you to your core. Not having the strength nor confidence to move anymore from the alleyway you were just dropped into upon arriving here from the pentagram in the dark sky. Everyone is too much for your young mind… well. Other than that best, those lyrics and that voice
As it stands against the wall
Like the drip drip drip of the raindrops
When the summer shower is through
So a voice within me keeps repeating you, you, you
That song is a symbol of comfort for you. Night & Day by Cole Porter. Something your mother use to sing to you every night before bed, the sound of pretty rain hitting your open window as that beautiful sweet woman would sing over and over again, all without it growing repetitive, until you fell asleep. Having wonderful dreams all the time
Even though you’re scared out of your mind, you begin to walk out to the streets. Packed to the brim with all kinds of weird-shaped adults but you avoid most of the them, weaving through this thick crowd to find the source of the soothing lullaby of your whole life and the voice singing it. It sounds dapper, transatlantic, if not an old radio. Is it coming from a radio?
Night and day, you are the one
Only you beneath the moon or under the sun
Whether near to me, or far
It's no matter, darling, where you are
I think of you
It felt like a game of cat and mouse. Running around to find where that wonderful singing is coming from and it feels like the person is constantly teleporting, no adult should be this frustrating to find. Or, you’re just too overwhelmed from being dropped into literal Hell to even realise your coordination skills are as dropping as you did. Your mind is racing to come to terms with what’s going on
This isn’t New Orleans at all… and not a single trace of your parents around. Are you alone? No. No. You don’t want to be alone, you’re too young to be alone. Is everybody here too evil to care about a literal child Sinner being stuck on his own and having to fend for himself in ways he doesn’t know how to…
By all the unholy gods. Somebody help
Day and night, night and day, why is it so
That this longing for you follows wherever I go
In the roaring traffic's boom
In the silence of my lonely room
I think of you
The loud noises of talking, of the wall of built-in weird flat devices screeching and echoing, the patter of footsteps. It makes you want to hide away and sleep to try shake off all the distress and overwhelming feelings you are being tormented with but that song is way too recognisable and comforting for you to ignore so you just keep pursuing it
Maybe, it’ll be pointless and the singing source will be from a Radio of your year but it almost feels like the song is organic and from a person. That means there is an adult of your time here. A man from the 1930s, Hell, he may be somebody of your family! That’d be wonderful and your hopes are high that when you do find the source, it’s somebody you’ll get to embrace and talk to
Day and night, night and day
Under the hide of me
There's an oh such a hungry yearning burning inside of me
And this torment won't be through
Until you let me spend my life spreading love
A flash of bright red crossed your eyes when you finally had managed to shakily but stubbornly and determined, pasted through the big careless and if not almost hypnotised by the running TVs crowd, and continued down the road in half sprints. Following a array of melodically humming, recreating the beat and rhythm of the song as it seems the source is quite invested in such a song
It felt like forever following a mere sound across the city’s streets but there he is. The source of the singing, he’s so close that you can finally reach a arm out and take his hand to catch his attention
Day and night, night and day—
The man instantly mutes his singing. He is tall, in a nice fancy coat with long hems at the bottoms, with a pair of what seemed to be tall deer ears on the top of his head and his pale face branded with a permanent toothy grin, he looked both menacing but yet friendly. Turning around to face the nine-year-old Sinner running around the Pride Ring’s own Pentagram City’s streets to chase the source of a song of familiarity and now has chased and caught his hand, Alastor reacted rather friendly and understanding to be presented with a child of his own era
Leaning down to be kneel before this young confused on-the-verge-of-crying boy, the Radio Demon says smooth and curious with that same radio effect almost overlapping his charming transatlantic accent, placing his free hand on your little shoulder
Something about Alastor reminded you of a popular figure from New Orleans you’ve met before
“Greetings there, young man… tell me, where are your parents?”

Hallowed
Pairing: Michael Gavey (Saltburn) x f!reader Warnings: Toxic relationship dynamics, face sitting, smut. Word count: ~1.3k
Summary: Her Early Medieval Literature essay is due, and Michael has his own cruel way of ensuring she stays focused.
Author's note: Can be read as part two of this fic, but also works as a standalone. Day six of the Smuffmas prompts - "future and face sitting". No tag list. Follow @fics-by-ewanmitchellcrumbs and turn on post notifications.
She lounges on Michael’s bed, clad in only knickers and one of his t-shirts, a copy of the Canterbury Tales grasped lightly between her fingers. Her eyes move over the words of Chaucer, but take none of them in, how could they? His long fingers draw lazy circles on her ankle, her legs stretched out up to the pillows where he reclines, the duvet wrapped around his bare midriff while he reads from a textbook called the Book of Proof.
Life feels simpler since Michael has entered it, despite the turbulent beginnings. She has given up her friends, under his advice, and there is now far less pressure to conform. Her only focuses are her studies and pleasing him, the latter of the two she takes great pleasure in.
It is always on his terms; when they see each other, what they do, how they do it, and despite his obvious initial inexperience he is a fast learner. His ability to make her fall apart, to make her relinquish all control is something he does expertly. The slight fear she feels towards him only adds to the excitement; he could destroy her if he wanted to, but if she plays nicely then he won’t, and she is more than happy to play nicely when the rewards for doing so are as satisfying as they are.
She sighs, his fingers upon her flesh making her core throb with want, even from the simple gesture of absentmindedly touching her leg. She lets her book slip from her fingers, raising up on her elbow to look at him.
“Michael…” she whines.
He looks at her impassively, adjusting his glasses. “The first of your three essays is due soon, isn’t it?”
“Mmm,” she responds with a roll of her eyes, flopping back down and stretching her arms above her head. “Early Medieval Literature.”
His hand moves from her ankle, fingertips ghosting over the exposed skin between the hem of his t-shirt and the waistband of her underwear. “And what have you written?”
She shivers beneath his touch, squirming slightly. “Am I really here to study?”
“I’ve no interest in sleeping with a failing literature student,” he pulls his hand away and she immediately misses his warmth. “So tell me.”
She groans in frustration. “Oh, I don’t know. Probably something about irony in the Merchant’s Tale.”
His textbook thuds closed and she hears the heavy sound of him dropping it onto the bedside table. When she chances to glance up at him she sees he is sitting straighter in the bed, his gaze hardened as he looks at her. “Probably?! You mean you haven’t started it? Have you even thought about your thesis statement, your in-depth analysis or how you’re going to conclude your ideas, if you’ve even had any?”
“Oh, come on,” she says softly, sitting up and reaching for him. “There’s still time. Can’t we just–”
“No,” he cuts her off. “I’ve been spoiling you, and it’s made you stupid.”
“I’m not stupid!” She protests. “If I remember correctly, it was you who called my degree a ‘glorified book club’.”
“You still need to try,” he tells her, frowning.
“You don’t try,” she argues with a shrug,” and marks in your first year don’t count towards the final degree.”
“I don’t have to try, but I still get firsts in everything. Marks this year may not count towards the final degree you get, but they count towards you keeping your scholarship. Think about your future instead of being a fucking brat for once in your life.”
His words are a sharp sting to her already fragile ego, and she lowers her gaze, fighting the sudden urge to cry.
“I’m not touching you again until your essay’s handed in and I’ve seen what your mark is.”
Her head snaps up, eyes wide with disbelief as she looks at him, searching his features for any indication that he’s being unserious. She finds none; he really means it.
“And you’re not to touch yourself. I’ll know.”
The next two weeks are torturous for her. On the occasions that Michael does invite her to his room, there is no more casual half dressed lounging on his bed. Instead, he has a study space set up for her at his desk, and won’t allow her to speak or leave until she has at least a thousand words written.
They meet up in the library during free periods so that he can read through what she’s written, and her skin burns hot with humiliation each time he screws up a page and throws it into the waste paper bin, calling her arguments “lazy” and “uninspired”.
It lights a fire of determination beneath her, but bubbling under the surface is also a heightened state of arousal, driven by the lack of intimacy, and the fact that she finds that she likes it when he is so authoritative over her.
By the time she has finished, she has produced an essay that both her and Michael are satisfied with; it discusses the use of irony in Chaucer’s poem, the Merchant's Tale. She has used a number of excerpts and lines from the poem for analysis, revealing the instances of irony in each, and from this has determined that the irony Chaucer used in the Merchant's Tale is controlled.
Her eyes light up when Professor Ware hands it back, and she sees the 85% that’s circled at the top of it.
A first.
She feels giddy with excitement as she knocks on Michael’s door that evening, brandishing the now dog-eared pages at him as he opens the door.
“A first, I got a first!” She squeals, watching as he takes the essay from her, his eyes moving slowly over the top page.
“Hmmm,” he settles it down on the desk, removing his glasses and placing them on top. “Take off your jeans and underwear.”
“Wha–what?” She stammers, her grin fading.
“You want your reward, don’t you?” He asks, moving to lay back on the bed.
She swallows thickly, excitement fluttering in her lower belly, as she quickly complies, ridding herself of the clothing that covers her lower half.
“Come here,” he commands softly.
She joins him on the bed, a gasp leaving her as he manhandles her until her knees are positioned either side of his head.
“My clever girl,” he whispers. His words could be mistaken for softness, were they not directly juxtaposed by the rapid darkening of his blue eyes, and the way his thumbs drag across the indentations between her thighs and pelvis. “I knew you could do it, you just needed a little…push.”
He drags his tongue from her opening all the way to her pearl, and her jaw goes slack, the wet sensation making her clench as she falls forward, hands clawing at the wall in front of her.
His grip on her thighs tightens and he tugs her flush against his face, the sloppy sounds of him devouring her are lewd combined with the wanton cries of pleasure that tumble from her lips.
She feels her mind go blank as he inserts his tongue inside of her, keeping it rigid as she begins to grind herself in a circular motion, keeping his nose pressed against where she needs it most, desperately chasing the release she’s needed the last couple of weeks.
His hum of appreciation reverberates through her core, and as he withdraws from her, plush lips wrapping around her sensitive bundle of nerves she feels herself fall apart as the growing ache intensifies, completely at his mercy as he laps at her, while white hot waves of pleasure wash over her.
She raises up when it becomes too much, jerking at how oversensitive she feels and gazes down at him through heavy lidded eyes, breathless.
He looks like an utterly different person without his glasses, almost kind, though she knows better. His chin is shiny with her slick as he smirks up at her.
“You’ve worked so hard,” he says quietly, though the edge of malevolence to his voice is unmistakable. “But don’t worry, you can give that pretty little mind of yours a rest while I fuck you stupid again.”
She is powerless to resist as he tugs her back to his face once more, beginning the exquisite torture all over again.

a heavenly, hellish housemate
pairing: Adam/Reader
The reader’s race and gender are ambiguous; no pronouns or physical descriptors are used.***
summary: “If you’re my guardian angel, then why are you so…?” you break off. “Devilishly handsome?” The angel winks. “I was going to say ‘sleazy,’” you frown. “Okay, that’s not the right way to say ‘Wow, thank you so much for saving my life. I don’t know what I’d do without you, Adam, you’re so sexy and badass.'” He scoffs.
After Adam acts up yet again, Sera decides to assign him guardian angel duty. Adam is pissed, but he goes along with it and starts to look out for you: the human he’s tasked with protecting. He has no intention of ever actually meeting you, but when he saves you from death, he finds himself stuck on Earth with you.
Tumblr media
warnings: near-death experiences, emotional manipulation, suggestive humor
author's notes: ***The reader is referred to as “dude,” and “bitch” (you can thank adam for that, lmao) but i typically use those terms with the intent of them being gender-neutral… The reader also uses cologne (but, again, smelling nice isn’t gender-specific, i don’t think…)
This fic won’t be canon compliant. Also, some of the story itself is going to be underdeveloped—in the sense that I still want this to be a “oneshot,” not a multi-chapter fic. Some big-scale things like how Adam gets to Earth and how he will return to Heaven are overlooked.
anyways, onto the fun stuff:
Tumblr media
It’s been a long day, you think to yourself as you walk down the sidewalk. Work wasn’t particularly eventful today, but you’re still rather exhausted. You’re contemplating what you’ll fix for dinner when you see a car approaching out of the corner of your eye. You blink and your heart races as you realize it’s veering off the road and heading right towards you. It’s going far too fast and suddenly you’re frozen, trapped as the car speeds towards the sidewalk and heads straight for you in painful slow-motion. At the last possible moment, you’re shoved to the side with unnatural momentum. You fall to the ground and the car crashes into the wall—right about where you had been walking mere moments ago. You stare at it in disbelief.
You have scrapes on your knees and you get the feeling you’ll have bruises on your elbows and arms, but otherwise, you’re unharmed. It’s a miracle—there’s no other way to explain it. By all means, you should have died in that car crash. You weren’t able to move in time… until that weird sensation, as if someone unseen had just shoved you out of the way.
“Don’t get paid enough for this shit,” someone nearby mutters. You’re about to get up when a large shadow overtakes your vision. You look up to find a figure cloaked in white staring down at you; after a second look, you realize that he’s wearing a mask over his face. He’s looking down at you with a strange combination of interest and scrutiny.
“…Hello?” You choke out, once you manage to accept just what you’re seeing. This guy—whoever he is—is ridiculously tall and looks entirely unfamiliar. In fact, he doesn’t look human at all—he has a bright halo over his head and wings extending from his shoulders.
He stares at you in disbelief when he notices that you’re looking back at him. “You can see me?” He asks, clearly surprised. “What the fuck?!”
“Are you my guardian angel or something?” You ask, unable to hide your suspicion. You never thought guardian angels were even real; and, even if you were to think about it, you would expect a “guardian angel” to be clothed in blinding white. This guy has grey horns, golden wings, and a positively dangerous smirk. He does have that white halo, though…
“Ugh, fucking fine,” the guy scoffs, clearly annoyed. You’re not quite sure how he’s sick of this conversation already, when it hasn’t been more than a few moments. “Yes, I am. You’re welcome, baby.”
“Okay,” you remark, still a little unconvinced. Admittedly, the pet-name throws you for a loop—especially when you realize the guy is rather attractive, with shaggy, dusky brown hair and gleaming golden eyes. Averting your eyes, you take a look around you, only to find that everyone seems too preoccupied with the car crash to notice you talking to this strange “angel”—if that’s really what he is. Or, even more frightening… you may be the only one able to see him. You try to collect your thoughts and one question immediately comes to mind. “If you’re my guardian angel, then why are you so…?” You trail off.
“Devilishly handsome?” He winks.
“I was going to say ‘sleazy,’” you frown.
The guy crosses his arms over his chest. “Okay, that’s not the right way to say ‘ wow, Adam, thank you so much. I don’t know what I’d do without you, you’re so sexy and badass.’”
You stare at him in disbelief for a few moments, before deciding to push yourself to your feet. Even when you’re standing in front of him, the height difference between you both is stark. You squint at him for a second. “Are you sure you’re an angel?” You blurt out before you can stop yourself. The guy seems a little too profane to be from Heaven. But, who knows?
“Damn right,” the guy asserts confidently, blowing your assumptions right out of the water. “I’m the angel. Adam’s the name, pulling bitches is the game.”
While you want to focus on that horrid last part of his statement, your attention is captured by his name: Adam. Is he the first human—that Adam? “You’re the Adam?” You question. “Like, Adam and Eve?”
The smug grin on the angel’s face promptly vanishes. “Ugh, this was going so well,” Adam groans raspily. “Don’t fucking mention my ex-wife, dude. She’s a real piece of work.”
“If you say so,” you acquiesce. This entire conversation is giving you whiplash. You wonder just how you got yourself into this situation. And while you’re grateful that this guy saved you, you hadn’t expected to be stuck in an interaction with him. You really just want to go home—this day has been a nightmare, and you want nothing more than to jump into bed and sleep.
“I do say so,” he preens. Wow, this guy’s ego is extremely inflated. You’re not sure you’ve ever met someone so cocky and arrogant before.
“Well… Thanks for saving my life, I guess?” You remark uneasily, taking a casual half-step backwards and hoping he doesn’t notice. You’ve been patiently waiting for the conversation to end, but somehow it’s still going—and you’re nearly at the point of just walking away and ignoring him.
“You’re fucking welcome, shrimp,” Adam responds. You ignore the dig. The guy is unnaturally tall—far surpassing the height of even the tallest humans. He must be eight or nine feet tall, at least.
“Well, I have to get home, so…” You give an awkward wave and turn to walk away. You don’t make it for more than a few steps before you notice a presence behind you. Adam is following you, you realize with dread. “Um, what are you doing?” You ask.
“Following you, dipshit,” he scoffs, as if the question is stupid. “This has never happened before. I don’t know how to get back up to Heaven yet.”
“Great.” You groan, resolving yourself to a chaotic day.
Tumblr media
Why am I doing this again? You ask yourself as you stare at the angel walking around your apartment. You don’t realize that you utter that question aloud until you hear Adam speak. “Because you’re nice and hot and smart and totally my type?”
“Nice try,” you huff, crossing your arms over your chest and resolutely pretending that his remark doesn’t make your heart race. He’s the type of person to flirt with anyone—hell, anything —that has a pulse. “Flattery won’t get you very far.”
“It’s true, though” Adam insists confidently, “And you can take my word for it, ‘cause there are some real nasty bastards up in Heaven.” You watch as he continues to inspect your apartment, opening your cabinets and drawers and ultimately having zero respect for your privacy. You’re suddenly immensely grateful that you don’t have much to hide—your apartment is pretty ordinary-looking.
“So… when do you go back?” You not-so-subtly ask, as he continues looking around without permission.
“Trying to kick me out?” He grins, seeing through your rather pathetic attempt to hide your irritation. Adam shuts the drawer he was searching through and shrugs. “Not sure. I’ve never been to the human realm before; this shit blows.” He punctuates the statement with a heavy eye-roll.
“That’s not helpful,” you frown concernedly. It may be no big deal for him—he has all the time in the world to return to Heaven, considering he’s already in the afterlife. But you have a life, a job, and things to do. You don’t have the time or energy (or patience) to stumble through reorganizing your entire life just to fit an angel in it.
“I don’t fucking know!” He practically screeches, a sudden switch into extreme defensiveness. Adam must notice you watching him, because he turns around and meets your gaze. “For once. Maybe even the first time. But I know everything else, so don’t get used to it.” He’s quick to add. You’re starting to worry that your eyes will get stuck in the back of your head—from how much you’ve been rolling your eyes at his inane comments.
“Has anyone ever told you you’re a pain in the ass?” You mutter darkly.
“Without lubrication, yeah.” You don’t bother dignifying that comment with a response. You instead shake your head relentingly and tell him you have a pullout bed on the couch, to which he complains incessantly before you offer sleeping on the street as an alternative.
Still processing everything that happened, you tell Adam you need to be alone and lock yourself in your room. Just a few hours ago, you were living your life as normal. Your guardian angel saved your life, but now he’s living here with you. You don’t remember signing up for any of this. You rub a hand over your face and try to fight off the exhaustion that has been setting in since you left work.
Eventually, it’s late enough for you to go to bed—and you fall asleep hoping that you’ll wake tomorrow morning to an empty apartment, blissfully free of a certain angel.
But the universe is not so merciful, and you see Adam sleeping on the couch when you walk out of your room and towards the kitchen. You try to move quietly—so as to not disturb him—but he must be a light sleeper, because suddenly he’s up on his feet and chastising you for being too loud. You head to work already feeling tired, which doesn’t bode well for the rest of your day.
Tumblr media
The longer Adam stays at your apartment, the more you learn about him. For example, you learn that Adam is an incessant flirt (although that was clear from the first few moments you met). You also learn that he enjoys scaring the absolute shit out of you. Sometimes, you’ll get home from work and find yourself in an empty apartment. You’ll forget that you’re housing a goliath of a “guardian angel,” until said angel seeps out of the shadows and screams at you, cackling maniacally as you regain your breath.
Adam isn’t a great roommate, either—he’s messy, doesn’t have very many boundaries, and has no qualms about invading your personal space. He has a ton of annoying habits.  Even so, you suppose it’s not the worst situation you could find yourself in. Plus, as much as you hate to admit it, it’s kind of nice to have company when you get home from a particularly long day at work. You can vent to him about some dumbass you work with and he won’t hesitate to insult them with you.
Although… Adam doesn’t pay you. He doesn’t have any human money. You’re not even sure if Heaven has currency, and you keep forgetting to ask. All you know is that he’s living here for free—practically mooching off of you. And, for the first few weeks, it really does feel like he’s taking advantage of your kindness—as he eats all of your groceries, never cleans up after himself, constantly plays your Nintendo Switch without asking you for permission… The list goes on.
After more than three weeks of that rather grating behavior, you sit him down at the table in the dining room and try to establish some ground rules. If he is going to continue staying with you, he has to: (1) clean up after himself, which includes everything from washing the clothes you bought for him at the thrift store to doing his dishes; (2) write what he wants on the grocery list, so you won’t come home to an empty fridge and pantry; (3) use his own separate account for your Switch, which you so graciously made for him; and (4) limit how many times he scares you to a few times per week.
You think these demands are perfectly reasonable, but judging from the way he stares at you for a moment before laughing in your face, Adam has never respected someone else’s rules. You don’t break eye contact with him, despite wanting nothing more than to look away from his increasingly intimidating gaze. Eventually, Adam must sense that you’re not budging on these points, because he mutters something about bossy landlords—to which you snarkily remind him that landlords have paying tenants, and that he is living under your roof for free. He shuts up after that.
After that conversation, things get better. Slowly but surely, Adam begins to adjust his behavior to be moderately less annoying. You get the feeling that being annoying is one of his core personality traits, but at the very least you’ve prevented that from affecting your lifestyle. Unsurprisingly, the angel doesn’t follow all of the rules perfectly. Ironically, it seems that Rule No. 4—limiting how often he scares the life out of you—is the most difficult one for him to follow. The fucker is constantly appearing behind you and ripping the breath from your chest. But, you respect that Adam is trying, and the two of you gradually learn to live with one another.
But things come to an unfortunate boiling point one evening as you’re getting ready to go out for dinner. You’ve attempted to tame your hair into something slightly more styled than normal and you’ve used your rather pricey cologne [a miniscule amount of it, admittedly]. You have your keys, your pepper spray in case your date goes awry, and your phone. You’re inspecting your closet in an attempt to decide on an outfit when you hear Adam enter the room.
You turn around to face him, realizing that he looks skeptical as his gaze inspects your form. “Where the hell are you going?” He asks, evidently noticing that you’re preparing to leave. You suppose it is rather unusual for you to be leaving home in the evening like this—typically, once you leave work, you stay home for the rest of the night.
“I’m going on a date,” you respond, picking out a shirt and pants and folding them over your arm.
“A date?” Adam scoffs. “Your ugly ass? Please.”
You don’t bother acknowledging that remark, instead moving to the bathroom. You change and brush your teeth, before walking back out to your room. You’ll just pretend that your giant angelic roommate—the one who still doesn’t pay rent, by the way—isn’t here. Unfortunately, you don’t get very far, because Adam continues speaking the moment you exit the bathroom.
“Hey, there isn’t-” Adam begins, turning around to face you. Whatever he means to say fades to obscurity as he stares at you. For a painful moment, the two of you are trapped in a tense silence. Just as it grows to be unbearable, Adam scoffs. “This is for him? Fucking Tom?” Wait… How does he know your date’s name? You squint at him suspiciously, before realizing that he’s holding your phone and evidently looking through your messages.
“Hey, give me that-” You say with wide eyes, reaching for your phone.
“Did it hurt when you fell from heaven?’”Adam recites, scrolling through the messages from the guy you’re going on a date with. There’s a cruel amusement gleaming in his eyes. “There’s no fucking way.” He cackles.
You stare at him in shocked silence, forced to listen as he rips apart this guy you haven’t even met yet. “Are you done yet?” You eventually ask, when it seems like he’s losing steam. “I have to go, give me that-” You hiss, annoyed and frustrated. His grip is inhumanly tight as he clutches your phone; you have no idea how he hasn’t broken it yet.
“No way, sweetheart,” he grins, a malicious and cruel smile. “This is the most fun I’ve had in years ,” he says, continuing to scroll through your conversation, “Besides, why are you meeting with this guy if you don’t even know him in the first place?”
That’s the whole point of the date: to get to know Tom. You try to take a deep breath and remain calm. “You’re my ‘guardian angel,’ not my mother,” you feel the need to say, when his eye contact is growing a bit too intense and prolonged.
“Wow, strange, that doesn’t sound like gratitude,” Adam frowns, tapping a finger against his chin.
You grit your teeth. Unless you’re able to sneak around this nine-foot fucking demon looming in the doorway—because really, he’s not acting like much of an angel right now—you’re going to miss your date. You try to make a grab for your phone one more time, but Adam’s grip remains steady. There’s no way you’re getting it back, judging from both his immensely strong grasp and the determined smirk on his face.
Defeat sets in, followed by prickling embarrassment and fury. “You know what?” You say, your voice cracking in your frustration. “Fine. Fine. You win. Okay?” You leave your room and head out to the living room, desperate for some privacy. Adam either doesn’t notice or doesn’t care, because he follows behind you. You feel tears falling down your face before you can stop them. You feel so helpless. This guy swooped into your life and fucked everything up, just for his own amusement.
“Are you crying because of that loser?” Adam asks, surprise coloring his voice.
“I’m crying because of you!” You seethe, glaring at him. You wipe your eyes with the back of your sleeve. “You ruined my night. And I genuinely wanted to get to know Tom, but you’ve fucked that up too!” This is like an emotionally manipulative relationship, you think to yourself, but without the relationship. So really, it’s just emotionally manipulative. You don’t give Adam a chance to defend himself, instead pushing past him and going back into your room, slamming the door shut behind you.
You flop onto your bed and curl onto your side, unable to stop the tears sliding down your cheeks. You know it’s a somewhat insignificant thing to be upset about, but you can’t help it. The way Adam just completely decimated your plans, with all the confidence of someone who has never once been questioned, someone who has always been looked up to and venerated and-
You huff and push yourself back up to a sitting position, grabbing the nearby tissue box and blowing your nose. You’re still furious with Adam, of course, but you’d rather just not acknowledge him right now. Even the mere thought of him now is enough to send new tears slipping down your cheeks.
You lie awake a bit longer than usual that night, feeling unspeakably restless. Frustrated, you stare up at the ceiling and try to think about something other than the horrible evening you just had. Eventually, you drift off into sleep—albeit with dry eyes and anger still prickling at your core.
Against all odds, you manage to have a relatively restful sleep, and you wake to the smell of pancakes wafting through your apartment. That immediately concerns you, and you get out of bed with fear drumming in your chest. Did you leave the stove on? Is  something burning? You stumble out to the kitchen, only to find Adam standing with his back to you, looking down at a griddle that you don’t remember purchasing.
“Adam?” You ask, blinking traces of sleep from your eyes. Adam stiffens and turns around, an uncharacteristically weak smile flickering on his face before it’s replaced with his trademark wide grin.
“Hey,” he remarks, turning around to flip a few pancakes. When Adam turns back around to look at you, you realize that the apron he’s wearing says Kiss the Cook. You feel a disbelieving laugh crawl out of your throat before you can stop it.
“Where’d you get that apron?” You ask, knowing damn well you don’t own an apron like that.
“Don’t worry about it,” he grins, which naturally just worries you more. You take a deep breath and go back to your room to change. When you return to the kitchen, there’s a stack of pancakes on the counter—evidently for you. You grab a few pancakes, a plate, and utensils, before settling at the table and beginning to eat. You keep yourself occupied throughout the meal with Youtube videos, but you’re still unable to avoid the tension settling in the air.
When you finish eating, you do your dishes before thanking Adam for the meal. Before you can retreat back to the solitude of your room, Adam takes a deep breath as if preparing himself to speak.
“So…” He starts, “This is hard for me to say………” His voice is almost entirely devoid of emotion. Before you can think about that any longer, he continues speaking. Is he about to apologize? Somehow, you doubt it. “I’m not sorry for what I did.” And there it is. You’re not surprised; you’re just disappointed. You immediately move to leave and his eyes widen. “Wait. No, that’s- Hey, I’m trying to apologize here!”
“Apologizing typically starts with ‘I’m sorry,’” you say, glaring at him.
“Fine,” Adam says with an eye-roll, “I didn’t want you going on that date. Okay?”
“Why?” You ask. You deserve to know the rationality behind his actions—if there even was any. The angel’s eyes are gleaming (with what emotion, you’re not quite sure).
“I’m your guardian angel,” Adam reminds you, “I’m supposed to protect you from harm.” That’s a load of bullshit. You turn around again, fully intent on barricading yourself in your room and never coming out. “Hey, hey, hey-!” He sputters. Adam takes a deep breath and pinches the bridge of his nose. “Damn it! Fine. I didn’t want you to go on that date because you’re out of his league.”
That statement only confuses you further. Tom was an attractive guy, and he seemed nice. Why would you be out of his league? “Then who’s in my league?” You sputter, feeling extremely lost. “You?” You scoff.
“Yes!” He exclaims with so much vehemence that it startles you. “I mean, no! Fuck, why is this so difficult? Okay. Listen… I rescheduled your date with Tom. You’re gonna meet with him today, and wear that sexy ass outfit you had on yesterday.”
“Really?” You ask, still skeptical. You want to believe the angel, but you can’t help but think of his actions last night—the unflappable determination on his face as he wrecked your plans for the night. Adam got some sort of thrill out of ruining your night, and that still concerns you.
“Really,” the angel assures you, tossing you your phone. You completely forgot he had it. You remember trying to wrench it out of his grip; when you stormed off to your room, he must’ve still had it. “Check your messages.” You obey and open the text conversation.
Yesterday, 2:45 p.m. Tom: Looking forward to it.  Yesterday, 4:42 p.m. You: Hey, I hate to do this, but do you mind if we reschedule for tomorrow? My roommate got sick and I need to look after him. Tom: Sure thing. Same time? You: Sounds good.
“Oh,” you remark aloud, lost for words.
“So go on your date and have fun,” Adam continues. “With- with Tom.” The latter statement is spoken with a decent amount of venom, and Adam averts his eyes with a surprisingly irritated expression on his face. Not wanting to look a gift horse in the mouth, you busy yourself with preparing for the date, equal parts anticipation and something frighteningly similar to appreciation warring in your chest. You shouldn’t be holding any sort of appreciation for Adam’s actions—he was just righting his own mistake. Even so… You sigh and push aside any thoughts of Adam, instead busying yourself with preparing. When you’re finally ready, you walk out of your room and head for the side table—where your pepper spray, phone, and keys still remain from the night before.
You glance around the space, finding Adam sitting in front of the television and playing video games. “I’m heading out,” you decide to tell him.
“Have fun,” the angel says, not bothering to look away from his game. You take a deep breath and leave your apartment, locking your door behind you. Your date is waiting outside, supposedly.
The night passes by frighteningly fast; two hours later, you’re unlocking your front door, shutting it behind you, and trudging into your apartment with severely dampened spirits. You’re unsurprised to find Adam still playing games on your Nintendo Switch. His back is turned and you feel your throat burning. “Hey,” he says, focused on the game. “How’d it go?”
“You called it,” you murmur frustratedly. “You were right. I should’ve listened.” Your eyes are burning now too. Your voice sounds foreign to your ears.
It evidently takes Adam a moment to process what you just said, but you immediately notice the moment he comprehends it. The room falls eerily silent and you watch the television screen for a moment. (Meanwhile, Adam is staring ahead in complete shock, surprised as to how someone could have fumbled the bag so badly.) Adam then turns around, his game entirely abandoned. “What did that bastard do?” He hisses. “God damn it, I’m going to murder him. He’s going straight to Hell!”
“It’s- I don’t know,” you choke out, placing your hands on the back of the couch. Tears are falling down your face now, despite your best attempts to keep them in. “Maybe it’s my fault.” You murmur.
“Abso-fuckin-lutely not,” Adam declares with an unreasonable amount of confidence. “You’re the closest fuckin’ thing to perfection; there’s no way in Heaven or Hell that it was your fault.” You want to believe him, but you don’t. You can’t—not after how badly the night went.
You’re still reeling, so you decide to sit down next to Adam on the couch. For a long moment, the two of you stare ahead silently as the Animal Crossing: New Horizons music plays in the background. Eventually, Adam continues playing and you watch as he controls a purple-skinned avatar with golden eyes, black wings, and a white halo.
Sharing the silence with Adam is nice, but you soon find it more and more difficult to stay awake through it. You’re growing tired—your exhaustion from earlier catching up to you—and your eyelids are starting to sting from fatigue. You’re leaning back against the couch cushions, dangerously close to leaning on Adam’s shoulder. Your limbs feel as heavy as bricks and within moments, you’re surrendering to the urge to succumb to the darkness and the magnetic sensation pulling you to rest your head on the angel’s shoulder.
The next morning you wake up in your bed, despite having no recollection of walking back to your room. That particular mystery quickly fades to the back of your mind once you arrive at work, however. The day seems to drag, but finally, after a seemingly infinite amount of time, you finish your work and can go home to relax.
“Hey,” you say as you enter your apartment after work, surprised to find the living room empty. Typically, you’d see Adam watching television at this time. “Adam?” You ask. There’s no response. You shrug off your jacket and hang it on your coat rack, before walking through the living room and into the dining room.
To your surprise, you find your table candlelit, with boxes of takeout from your favorite restaurant scattered around its surface. “Hey, you’re back.” Adam says. Despite the fact that he probably didn’t mean to scare you, the sudden reveal of his presence is enough to send your heart racing—if only for a brief moment. You still can’t quite believe what you’re seeing; noticing your confusion, Adam continues—sounding almost apprehensive. “I thought… you deserve a nice dinner, since your date didn’t go well.” He breaks off for a moment, a truly murderous expression on his face. Adam shakes his head as if to clear his thoughts, before motioning to the takeout boxes and looking at you expectantly. “Did I get your order right?” You squint at the boxes and nod; he grins. “Hell yeah! Am I the fucking best or what?”
You smile and shake your head in disbelief. You move to sit down, but Adam tugs you back. “Hey, hey, not so fast,” he admonishes you, before placing a hand on the chair and pulling it out for you. You roll your eyes fondly and sit down at the proffered seat. Moments later, Adam takes a seat across from you. The two of you quickly dig into your food and you fall into idle conversation about your day.
When you’re both finished eating, Adam clears his throat purposefully. “So,” he starts, “I know I was kind of a dick, but you should go on an actual date with me.” He sounds forceful, but you’re pretty sure he’s just uncertain.
“Sure,” you agree rather easily. Despite all you’ve been through—all the missteps Adam has made, especially when you were trying to date other people—you like the thought of being in a relationship with him. Adam is frighteningly easy to be around, and underneath that prickly, jerkish exterior is a person who genuinely cares about you. At least, that’s what you hope.
“Oh hell yeah!” He fist-pumps, making you chuckle. “You’re about to get wined and dined, bitch. Get ready for a four-course meal—I’ll be the perfect fucking gentleman. Chivalry and all that shit.”
“You do realize chivalry has been dead for, like, centuries,” you say before you can stop yourself.
Adam groans dramatically. “You know what I fucking mean,” he chastises you. And, surprisingly, you think you actually do know what he means. He wasn’t referring to chivalry in the antiquated sense, but more in the sense that every person deserves to be treated nicely. That’s a surprisingly decent perspective, coming from him of all people. “I’m going to be so fucking nice, you’re going to be falling at my feet.” You both know that is definitely not going to happen. You don’t let Adam always have his way—you don’t let him step all over you. And, maybe, that’s one of the reasons he likes you. Maybe, just maybe, he needs someone who is just as independent and stubborn as he is.
You find yourself looking forward to learning more about this mysterious guardian angel of yours.

first time staying in a dorm and all of your roommates have cocks??? life is good.
GISELLE HAS A FAT COCK AND KNOWS HOW TO USE IT WELL. knows you’re a perv, staring her up and down everyday. from when she just came out the shower to her coming home from work yeah.. perv. as if she isnt herself. looking at your boobs like she needs them badly. she does. first time you came into her room she signals you to sit down next to her. since its the start of the term you dont know each other that well but the closeness between you two would say otherwise. only knowing eachother for at least two weeks to your surprise she’s comfortably touchy with you. maybe because of the unsurprising sexual tension you both have. leaning in to you with her low cut shirt showing just a smidge of cleavage whispering dirty words into your ear to rile you up calling you her “good little slut” or “her whore” DAMN she wants to fuck you so bad. rips off your clothes desperately tearing your panties off real fast. she lets you ride her mhm mhm. when i say her cock is big i mean it's biiiiiig. 10 inches to be exact. as much as she’s lengthy she’s equally girthy as well. hard to get adjusted to but you finally fit her cock in your cunt. helps you ride out the pain for a while before shoving her entire length into you the sudden pleasure making you scream her name <33 SHE LOVES COWGIRL POSITION SO MUCH ITS CRAZY. watching you bounce on her hard dick while your boobs move up and down is her favourite thing. doesn’t hesitate to sit up and suck and lick your nipples leaving dozens of hickeys on your chest. such a hard dom, will literally shove your head into the pillow, pounding hard and rough from behind. definitely an ass smacker you can’t tell me otherwise. has you crying ever time she slams her cock into you smacking your ass to gain even more guttural moans from you. she goes to gym so you know she can pick you up with ease and throw you around, she does exactly that. treating you like your a doll whenever she wants to switch positions. your on all fours and out of nowhere you’re now on your back with her hovering over you, teasing your entrance again with her tip. 100% a massive tease as well. denying your orgasm for hours on end until your messed up crying on her bed begging on your hands and knees to cum. eventually she does let you cum, but overstimulates you for as long as she’s edged you. i jst think she’s a really teasy hard dom UGH. she also seems like the type to take videos and photos whenever you have sex. has a hidden photo album filled with videos of you riding her dick or photos with hickeys all over your body YUP.
karina has a massive dick but doesn't know how to use it. after actively listening to you and aeris, almost everyday, late night activities she wanted to join in on the fun albeit kinda embarrassed about asking if she could. is so caring during intercourse, almost like you’re a real couple. she’s slow and steady making sure that you’re feeling good always asking if you’re okay. the type of person to get hard off of praise. you could call her a “good girl” after she’d cum in you and she’d immediately get hard again. yeah she has a massive cock probably around the same size as aeri’s but a little more smaller. veiny and kinda leans a little to the left. HOWEVER she genuinely doesn’t know what to do with it, so most of the times you’ve had sex you’re the one to lead. it’s pretty unusual for her as she’s always taken the lead outside of sex meaning she’s a little bit awkward in these situations UGHH she’s so lost. her spooning you whilst you’re watching a movie, her eyes glued onto whatever is on the screen then she feels a sudden pressure on her crotch? oh its just you subtly grinding on her bulge. she’s red in the face and can’t control her hard on awhh so cute. slithering your hand into her boxers, you slowly move your hand up and down her shaft, jacking her off underneath the blanket saying that she should just relax, lowkey scared that one of the other roommates would walk in on you two but at the same time it excites her. feeling of getting caught makes her head spin, cums hard and loud once you pick up your pace. genuinely can’t control her hard ons fr. you could be chilling doing your studies, you look to your left and you see her with one arm on the door frame looking like she needs to be inside of you ASAP. doesn’t like to disturb the other roommates though. rubbing her cock with your hands and your mouth kissing up and down her shaft sends her brain into overdrive. using one of your hands to cover her mouth making sure that her whimpers and moans are almost inaudible. either that or she’s heavily making out with you once you’ve finished using your mouth on her, again, making sure that she’s not moaning out loud. my favourite switch <33 whenever she decides to dom, or whenever you ask her to dom you, she’s so careful. doesn’t have many hard kinks she’s more on the vanilla side. loves missionary with you, anything that gets her really close to your face she loves. seeing how you react when she goes a bit faster or thrusts a bit harder reassures her that she’s doing a good job on pleasuring you. fucks like she’s desperate when she’s near her climax. doesn’t matter what position you’re in, but whenever shes nearing her high she’ll speed up her thrusting grabbing whatever she can, the sheets, your hair, hips, hands literally anything to give her some leverage. disregarding the fact that the other roommates are still in the dorm, she often moans loudly nearing her climax.
winter is a little on the smaller side but hear me out.. she’s a grower. has the most sensitive pink tip. another victim of you and aeri’s late night adventures. (early morning adventures as well 💀) she’s overall really really sensitive OH MY GOD. one day while you were hanging out with winter in her car you accidentally opened one of the videos aeri had taken of you the night before. then boom, you turn your head to the right and you see winter blushing harddd. and that’s when winter had her first blowjob yaayyyy!!! personally i think she’s a massive nerd, vigin, loser and i love that for her. awkward air turned into a heavy make out session at the back of the car, thankfully her windows are tinted ;)) winter not knowing where to put her hands so she just roams across your body from your chest, thighs, hips, neck. she’s touching you everywhere. she’s so clingy pls don’t let her go :(( gets confused when you break the kiss just to slowly go down and unbutton the jeans she’s wearing. to your surprise, and liking, her dick is surprisingly big? shivers when you kiss the tip of her cock, precum already dripping down. she’s so sensitive its crazy i will not stfu about it. taking her whole cock in your mouth, slowly bobbing your head. whimpers spew from her pretty lips. it honestly feels too good for her to the point of incoherency, repeating “feels so good” “too good” “gonna cum” everytime you suck on her tip. head grabber? head pusher??? pushes your head furthering her cock into your throat making you gag a little but then cums at the sensation of you gagging. after her high you decide to spice things up a little for her yaaayy winters first pussy experience!!! straddling her hips, you take off your soaking panties, inserting her already hard cock into your pussy. she shrieks, grabbing your hips saying that it “feels so tight” “feels really warm” pretty much on the verge of cumming once again. overstimulating her is so easy aaahhh. cockwarming lover <33 sometimes she gets too busy with studying but you’re always ‘distracting’ her. you decide to cockwarm her while she studies for her next exam, occasionally shifting around in her lap earning a couple of cute whimpers. will have sex anywhere!!! she’s in the kitchen making ramen when you come up behind her, pressing your chest into her back. immediate turn on. whispering to her that she should take off her pants and she complies “awhh what a good girl”. getting on your knees to pull out her cock telling her to focus on cooking the food. playing with her tip with your tongue while you stroke her shaft making her legs shake from all the pleasure.
ningning is average size but just a bit more bigger than winter. also pretty girthy too. i don’t see much top ningning on tumblr but in this au i see her as a top leaning switch YESSSSSIRR🫡🫡. ning is such a secretive whore. pretends to not know what sex as soon as she sees you taking off your shirt she’s ready to pounce on you. YET AGAIN another victim of you and aeri’s fun little moments. at first she didnt seem all too interested in you at the beginning of the term but she grew somewhat accustomed to your presence LMAO. you had to ask her a question for something? lets say it was something to do with the school year since you were both in the same year. not answering her phone nor opening the door to her room when you knocked, you decided to waltz in, patience running out. LORD she’s sat there with her cock out looking at one of the polaroids aeri had taken of you. you both stare at each other in deafening silence, until she giggles, ushering you towards her bed. before anything she preps you by eating you out. taking both of your legs and hooking it over her shoulders, groaning into you pussy, circling her tongue around your clit. professional pussy eater i think so. already close to cumming she takes your legs off of her shoulders, positioning your legs so that you’re comfortable in front of her then grabbing you by the hips slamming herself into you wet cunt, forcing her entire cock into your hole. her technique is crazy, thrusting in and out of you rhythmically one hand playing with your clit and the other rubbinf circles on the side of your hips. the type of person to laugh during sex, its endearing and its cute but it’s so hot???? she’d be fucking you so hard that you’re crying but she’d be giggling saying that you’re “doing so well”. definitely takes videos and pics like aeri does. wants to keep them as a cute little memory you know, always rewatching them whenever you're not here :( morning sex with her thoughhh. waking up after a night of rough sex with her, seeing her lazily eat your pussy out slowly. takes her time for sure making sure you’re wet enough sliding a couple of fingers inside, hitting your gspot. i feel like she’d spoil you sick, constantly praising you for taking her cock so well, calling you her “pretty baby” , buying you lingerie just so she can take pics of you.

As an old with a ton of life experience (not all of it good), it’s pretty common for people who’ve come out of a ltr to move more quickly with the next one. You’re older, you’re more secure in yourself, you know what you like. That’s not to say that csw will become a long term fixture in Joe’s life, but I wouldn’t judge them on the supposed speed of the relationship. (I don’t see it as that fast anyway, tbh? They’ve been on a few dates over a couple of months. It’s not like she’s moved in.)
Another thing: why are you all assuming Joe was the one responsible for not taking the big step with M? She mightn’t have wanted to. I know multiple guys - yes, multiple - who’ve proposed and been turned down. Much of the time it was more of a “not yet” and the relationship continued. Some of them even worked out in the end! One of my friends brought up marriage three times before his boyfriend agreed! They’ve been married for 15 years now ❤️.
Lastly, I’ll confess to being one of those people who get defensive of Steve, and it does low key translate to having mixed feelings about Eddie. How this came about for me mightn’t be the same for others, but it went like this: I loved Eddie in the show and was so sad when he died. But some elements of his fandom ruined things a bit by insisting he was the best part of S4 (I disagree), and that Steve should have died instead. I saw that a LOT, usually accompanied by a rant about Steve having served his purpose and that his death made more narrative sense. That made my affection for Eddie diminish considerably! I still like him, but nowhere near as much as I did on first watching the show.
Everyone can have their own opinions, of course, but equally, people can’t help their own emotional responses to those opinions. I don’t like feeling this way about Eddie, believe me! But it is what it is.
I love your ask! Thank you for making it so clear and easy to understand. as for the first part, I see what you’re saying I think it’s more or less the fact that she did just get out of relationship like two months ago. And I personally don’t think that this is a rebound for him (after M). I think that this is a rebound for CSW. I see what you’re saying, though about people moving onto one relationship to the next because of them being older, and knowing what they want, but this just feels like something that she tends to do very often. Which makes me believe she doesn’t know what she wants. Which again is fine I mean I dated around a lot in my early to mid 20s because I was still figuring out what exactly I want out of a relationship. But I see where you’re coming from, and we all can have different opinions on it. Relationships are individualized, and sometimes I do get the read wrong. I’ll admit that, but this one just seems like there is an expiration date. Again this is not me being jealous, it’s just what I see.
We don’t know about him and m and Who wanted to take the next step, I think you’re absolutely right on that. We will never know. We will also never know if that was even something that they thought about together.
and for the Eddie stuff, I totally get what you’re saying. After the end of season four online was a little bit of a mess. I personally am not involved in the Jq/Eddie fandom anymore because it was way too toxic. And it honestly made me like Jq and Eddie a little bit less . So I totally get what you’re saying about that.

gosh i just want to say you really got me with 𝒄𝒍𝒐𝒄𝒌𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒌 𝒂𝒖!!! ive never rooted for a character so much and you got me believing omega was gonna be different but the way you described her downfall was just so good i didnt have any reason to object it and when she was just accepting it because of the pain and everything shes feeling i was also just accepting and and gosh you broke my heart in the best way i love you so much<3 and although i am happy for omega finding some acceptance and peace with what she has i just cant stop imagining the nightmares and the way deep inside omega is always gonna be scared and resentful of nick because of the life she couldve had with james 😫😭😔
+ and ohhmyy i just now that james would appear in her memory sometime and ohhh specially when she has kids!!!!!! can you imagine if she named the kid james lmaoooo the fucking angst yow like reader couldve forgot james because of stockholm syndrome but then when her pup was a boy immediately when she has him she just say james and look at nick with glimmering eyes because she didnt even mean it to spite him it just came naturally and nick would finally realize that even though he has her as his thats just it a simple possession not really love
+ another idea in my head that keeps replaying is omega having that genuine fear in her no matter how long or loving nick has become lets say he moved too fast? omega. will. flinch. he shouts at somebody else? omega. will. start. crying. he tried to discipline the kids? omega will fucking beg him not to hurt them!!!!! and ohhh the domino effect on that like imagine their children seeing their beloved sweet caring mom begging for their dad not to hurt them even if he hadnt and they will start looking at their dad strangely to disgustingly as they grow up because they start piecing things together 😭😭😭
really i just want nick to hurt lmao but anywhore idk what route you’re gonna go with this au but just so you know i am so here for it!!! break my heart and do whatever you want honey i love you so much<3

oh my gosh what an ask to wake up to.
I’m blown away by your passion for the series. It really warms my heart and makes me feel all warm and fuzzy on the inside. when times are tough, which they often are, it’s engagement like this that keeps me creating. thank you, from the bottom of my heart.
I’m so glad you’ve enjoyed following puppy on her journey from independent, living her own life, to Nick’s omega.
your ideas into the AU are really wonderful, and I love hearing where your mind has gone with it. while I’ve mentioned in passing Nick and puppy having kids down the line, because they would, it’s not something I would personally write. I don’t write fics that have children as characters, just my personal thing. but, I agree that it would be an interesting dynamic for sure. It’s something Nick certainly isn’t interested in at the current point in the AU. there’s too much going on in his life, new omega, flourishing career, all that jazz.
plus, not having them for a number of years means that life with puppy will be domesticated at that point, and he might not actually run into many issues with her. he’s creating a life partner for himself, and his plan is to have her happy with him. he wants a happy omega on his terms. while her fear is fun, it’s a novelty that would wear off for Nick. in the end he wants a doting partner, which he is creating step by step with the support of his friends and colleagues.
there definitely is an innate fear when Nick raises his voice though. even in her most stockholmed state, hearing a prime alpha yell is something that would even have alphas shivering. Nick is the kind of alpha that exudes dominance, so he’s intimidating regardless of the history.
I fucking love you, thank you for this ask. it’s made my fucking year. I can’t wait to share more of the AU with you.

🔥 Fire Signs: Scorpio Season 🔥
Tumblr media
aries, leo, sagittarius (s,m,r,v). Please take what resonates ✨
This Scorpio season, it may feel like you have a lot on your plate, that you’re juggling too many things, or it may be that you have too many choices about where you can go from here, or what you can do. It can be easy to get caught up in ‘what if’ or ideals of what you want, but there comes a time when you have to start being realistic. That might be in the sense that you’ve been juggling too much, that you hold dreams and expectations that are not actually possible for you to reach, or you have these dreams but you’re not taking the steps you need to make them a reality. Being a dreamer is a wonderful quality, but it’s important to create the foundation to make these a tangible reality, to help you achieve them in the way that’s right for you. It might be that you’ve rushed too much into picking an option or picking a route, and you haven’t fully thought it through; you didn’t know fully what it would entail. Or it might be that you feel pressured into doing so, into choosing and pushing forward for the sake of it. It’s important not to be hasty.
Enthusiasm is one thing but to rush blindly ahead without fully understanding what it is that you’re doing means that you’re making progress with no control over yourself or the situation. Make sure you know what it is that you’re getting into. Take a moment to slow down, to use that enthusiasm to place those structures down first. Then you will be able to progress a lot quicker and with a lot more enjoyment. It may be that you’ve been able to do this and you’re now in a position where you are moving fast. If so, enjoy the stimulation and enthusiasm you have at this time! It feels great to be excited and to make such positive movement! If you haven’t yet gotten there, know it will come. Just make sure you think realistically about where you need to go, start putting those steps in, and you will go far.
This is also about being generous to yourself. This season, ask how you give to yourself and to others, how you are of service in these areas. Sometimes, we can feel lesser than in the society we live in. We feel we need more money, a bigger and better house, a higher position in our job, but these are capitalist ideas. We have all we need within ourselves- we have our own minds, bodies, compassions, skills, experiences, knowledge, etc., and we have people around us who care, who support us, who love us. We live on an earth that is giving and generous, that provides us with all we need to live and to flourish. It’s about seeing the abundance in this and knowing this can support us in whatever we choose to do. We have that abundance available to us at any time and we can utilise that to our advantage. We can often feel powerless for various reasons, particularly in our current society, but it’s about choosing what brings us that sense of power and control back, knowing how to tap into the power we have as individuals and as a collective.
Choosing what brings us the greatest emotional fulfilment, choosing to commit to that, is radical within itself. Putting ourselves first, our wants and needs, our wellbeing first is precisely about breaking free from those systems and power dynamics that tell us otherwise, that want us to do otherwise. This is about boundaries. Looking at what we juggle- physically and mentally, trimming that away and choosing the path that brings us the greatest fulfilment in the long term, is the best thing you can do for yourself, for your loved ones, and for your life. Allow yourself to go deep this season- it is Samhain and Scorpio season, after all! Allow those feelings, hopes, fears, and dreams to be unearthed, swim within them, acknowledge them, and then learn to choose yourself, in whatever way you need to. As said before, you will be a lot more happier, engaged, and enthused for it. If you are already on that journey, know that is courageous within itself and a reason to celebrate; feel proud! If you haven’t, still feel proud because it’s a big step and a big process, even if it’s over a small decision or situation, and know that you are just as courageous. Sitting with our emotions, our dreams, our disappointments, our confusion, and dealing with that is not easy. So, take care of yourself this season, fire signs, and make sure, at every point, you do what is aligned with your heart and soul. Follow it and be kind to yourself. You deserve it!

Hi, I hope you're doing well on this Friday. As for me, it's iffy.
I'm in a long distance relationship. Been in it for 3 years now and yesterday I tried doing the one thing that's important...communicate with my partner. But he ignored my calls and texts. Said "He" has anxiety. I have it too and he didn't seen to care.
All of this stemmed from me not getting approved pto for me to visit him. I work in the medical field, he works at Kroger, It's going to be harder for me to get time off than him.
He says he's tired of waiting and doesn't want to 30 and still not living with me. It's always "I" never "We" with him and I just don't know what to do anymore or where to end or start.
It's like he wants to rush life and build this happy family with me but the reality is that life isn't that easy. I don't even know if I want to continue working at my hospital job! I don't know my own life goal in the long term and he keeps having all these short term goals he isn't working towards for us or rather what "HE" wants.
A friend recommended me this blog and I figured it would be nice to get an online opinion on this issue.
Me and him are going in two separate directions...
Thanks @atomicfruitcup for the blog recommendation
Hello,
Sorry to hear things are going a bit iffy. On one hand, I do empathize with him a little since it sounds like he is frustrated with the long distance, but at the same time you’ve got a strong case about him just not putting your feelings in consideration.
Like him ignoring your texts just sucks. He’s got to talk to you if you have a problem, especially if you’re not physically near. Ignoring things just feels like running away from it. As someone who used to be long distance with their partner, I understand wanting to have an end date of when the distance ends, but like you said, he’s got to account for what you’re going through and need. There is definitely some mismatch of expectations.
He works at Kroger and you work in the medical field. I don’t want to be insensitive since I don’t know his situation and I know there are different financials with where you live, but wouldn’t it be easier if he moved out to where you are? Like among your jobs, it seems like yours might be harder to transfer.
I mean certainly it sounds like he really misses you and is tired of waiting. That much we know for sure. My guess about what he said about having anxiety is maybe (probably) he’s afraid that the next time you guys talk (really talk) you two are going to have to make a tough decision and maybe break up.
My advice is that you need to get him to talk to him regardless of the anxiety. I understand being anxious and not wanting to say anything, but this is causing a big wedge between you two. If he doesn’t want to talk, then he’s acting too much like a kid. I think there needs to some sort of encouragement to talk. You’ve already tried to contact him several times, but he hasn’t given you much back and I think it would be grounds for considering breaking up with him because I think there is only so much you can do in this situation and you already sound like you’ve been getting fed up with the way he’s been acting.
If he wants to talk, then great. I think you two would need to discuss how you feel about everything. About how getting the time-off is hard, about how you feel things might be moving fast (and why), about how he’s been making you feel, etc. Basically, you two need to work out how you feel like you’re not being considered, what the timeline is for when you two are finally in the same area, and what seeing each other would look like in the future (for example, if more scenarios pop-up where you can’t get time to see each other). Hopefully, he could also try to work towards getting time to go see you because right now all the pressure for when you see each other is on your shoulders. (and that might mean changing the fact that he works at Kroger).

In this dynamic and evolving world of finance, staying on top of the game means staying well informed and making knowledge-driven decisions for a better and secured future. At Money Maestro, we understand that managing your mortgage can be a challenging task, with new opportunities that should be regularly tracked. In this blog, we shall dive into two powerful financial tools: Refinancing and Equity Release. We’ll explore what they are, when to consider them, and how they can significantly impact your financial wellbeing.
Understanding Refinancing
“Refinancing your mortgage” is when you decide to hit the reset button on your existing mortgage after thoroughly investigating the current market scenario. This process of replacing your existing mortgage with a new one helps you derive benefits from better terms like a lower interest rate, reduced monthly payments, or a different loan tenure.
The Benefits of Refinancing
Fast forward to the 1960s – the discovery of oil would now make the scenario flip. Dubai’s economy surged, putting it on the map for globalization. The city was changing colours, becoming modern, and with newfound riches came an unstoppable urge for development. The world witnessed the Dubai Real Estate boom.
Lower Interest Rates: The most common and an important reason to refinance is to take advantage of the lower current interest rates. You could be saving a significant amount over the life of your loan.
Reduced Monthly Payments: Refinancing also allows you to extend your loan term. With that, you can lower your monthly payments, easing your financial burden.
Consolidating Debt: Refinancing can help you consolidate high-interest debts into one manageable monthly payment, often at a lower interest rate.
Access to Home Equity: Over a period of time, the value of your home can increase. When that happens, refinancing your mortgage can allow you to tap into your home’s equity, allowing you to have some extra cash to cater to your other needs.
When to Consider Refinancing
Interest Rates Drop: If after a market assessment, you find out that the current interest rates are drastically lower than when you took out your original mortgage, refinancing could be a smart move.
Improved Credit Score: If there is an improvement in your credit score since you first secured your mortgage, you might qualify for better interest rates. Don’t miss out on that!
Financial Shift: Significant life changes such as a new job, an increment in income, or even retirement plans can make refinancing a worthy option to explore.
Debt Consolidation: If you’re juggling multiple debts, refinancing can help simplify your payments and potentially save you money.
Understanding Equity Release
Financial Flexibility: Equity release gives you access to a large sum of money. Or, regular payments can empower you with financial flexibility as well.
Stay in Your Home: As you don’t need to sell your house, an equity release will allow you to stay in your home-sweet-home while still benefiting from its value.
No Monthly Repayments: Typically, there are no monthly repayments to worry about. The loan and interest are repaid when the property is sold, usually after one passes away or moves into long-term care.
When to Consider Equity Release
Retirement Planning: If you’re looking to aid your retirement income, equity release can provide a reliable stream of funds.
Home Improvements: Looking forward to making some renovations in your home or making it more comfortable? Equity release can fund these improvements.
Debt Management: You could use this money to pay off existing debts to reduce and ease your monthly financial commitments
Unexpected Expenses: Life is unpredictable. Equity release can help cover unexpected costs such as medical bills or family emergencies.

I really want to travel but haven’t figured out to go around it. Learning about my motion sickness definitely is going to impact how I travel. It’s not a big issue, it just means I need to take things slower and avoid activities that involves moving around in circles. No idea whether the temperature will really affect me because I haven’t really explored exotic places with tropical climates. In my local area, it’s been really hot and my recent experience with heat exhaustion got me a little bit concerned with long term travel. I can’t tell it’s because the current summer weather is unusually hot or I’m just overly sensitive.
I used to travel with someone who is an adventurer and explorer. We traveled for a couple of days and I just remembered feeling overwhelmed. The person wanted to do a hundred activities and was operating 100 miles per hour to see everything. I understand how that person felt. We didn’t have much time to see everything so this individual wanted to go outside and see everything as fast as possible. It was a little too fast for me, and I wanted to slow things down and absorb the area and culture, but it would mean we probably can’t see or do much activities. We just realistically do one activity a day. I think we ended up doing about five outside activities. At the end of the day, I was totally drained and can’t even remember what I did because I was stressed. It seemed like the other person felt energized and wanted to see more things outside. I can tell I was with an extrovert. I think people get the impression that introverts don’t like to travel or try new things or explore outside as much. Maybe some introverts are like this but personally I’m genuinely interested in traveling, but I guess I have different expectations and circumstances while traveling. Now that I know I have motion sickness, my reasoning is more legitimate.
Time is really important to me. I want to organize my time so I allocate one area and learn it’s culture thoroughly. It’s kind of like school. I always felt the curriculum was too fast and rushed. Sometimes I wanted to take my time learning the material and really understand the subject. Instead, usually the school curriculum only gives a week to learn a subject and then we move on to the next subject. I always felt like I didn’t know much about the topic or had a vague idea about it because I was given a span of a week. Traveling also feels similar, I want to experience things more slowly and deeply. It’s hard to achieve this when you’re given a few days to see places. That’s why I don’t feel like traveling as much, because the time allocated seems rather short. I’m not personally a fan of speeding through my travels because that’s stressful and I probably can’t keep up realistically. Sometimes I don’t understand how extroverts are satisfied with seeing bits and pieces of places, doing a hundred activities in a day, and find it enjoyable with the short time they have with traveling. Maybe how they see the world is different. They don’t want to understand the world because that requires them to think. They just want to experience it because it’s more fun. It seems like how I approach traveling is that I want to understand what I’m seeing or experiencing, and that takes a long time to process. I suppose an extrovert won’t understand an introvert, and I’m okay with it too, but I guess realistically we can’t really travel together because we are so different.
Actually, when I was about to leave the place that I visited, I found out later from a resident that all of the touristy activities are not what the locals enjoy in their day to day life. I found that really interesting and wanted to know what the locals liked in their area. The person I traveled with doesn’t know about this detail, and probably don’t really care so much about it. I actually asked the locals about the activities and that’s how I discovered the information. I was surprised at first, I thought the locals would love all the popular activities, but the person told me it’s really marketed for tourists. I found out at the last few minutes before I went home, but you do sort of discover the ‘truth’ about a place from the bare surface the longer you stay in the area. Sometimes I think a lot of people just enjoy the tourist part about a place but don’t really have time to discover other parts that’s not revealed to the tourist. Maybe that specific detail isn’t desirable or ‘fun’ to tourists.

Honoka [Look Up to the Sky] Part 2
Previously: Part 1
Tumblr media
Manager: Are you guys okay…?
Haruna: We had a workout session at practice today. I’m so sore…
Shiho: I’d sooner leave all that to the athletes…
Maika: God, same…by the way, where’s Honoka…?
Shiho: She went out a while ago, said she was going jogging.
Maika: What the heck is she made of…?
Manager: She’s just used to it since she does that kind of stuff regularly. Of course she’s on a different level from you guys.
Tumblr media
Maika: There’s gotta be something we can beat her at…
Manager: You mean something athletic? I’m not so sure about that.
Maika: Won’t know unless we try, right? Everyone has a weakness. We just have to find hers.
Tumblr media
Maika: Hey, Honoka. Wanna play some badminton?
Honoka nods.
Later.
Tumblr media
Manager: Game set!
Honoka: I wouldn’t have guessed the living room was big enough for badminton! Let’s play again sometime.
Maika: Ugh, I got trashed…
Haruna: No surprise there…
Shiho: Well, it’s surprising just how little of a fight Maika put up.
Tumblr media
Shiho: Honoka, let’s arm wrestle.
Later.
Manager: Honoka wins!
Honoka: Wanna rematch? Let’s do our left arms this time!
Shiho: No, I give up. Have mercy.
Maika: She really is completely beyond us in terms of strength…we can’t beat her there.
Haruna: How about this then?
Tumblr media
Haruna: Honoka-chan, wanna play Hyakunin Isshu? [1]
Honoka nods.
Later.
Manager: That’s the game!
Haruna: I didn’t have a chance…
Shiho: Honoka’s reflexes are truly beyond human.
Honoka: Had enough? I’ll be going now, then. Ouch…!
Tumblr media
Manager: You okay?
Honoka: Yeah, it’s nothing.
Honoka: (I was sitting on my feet for so long playing Hyakunin Isshu, they’ve gone numb…)
Tumblr media
Maika: Hold it right there! I’ve got one last challenge for you, Honoka! My own specialty, the side-step test! [2]
Honoka: Y-you really think it’ll be any different than your other challenges?
Maika: Won’t know unless we try! That’s why I’m challenging you!
Honoka: (My feet are so numb…I can hardly move them!)
Maika: …What’s wrong? Are you chicken?
Honoka: Of course not! …Fine, you’re on!
Manager: Alright, the winner is whoever completes the most full cycles in 60 seconds.
Manager: Ready? Get set…go!
Tumblr media
Shiho: Hm? Honoka’s moving at a snail’s pace! Maika, this is your chance!
Haruna: I wonder what’s wrong with Honoka-chan…?
Honoka: (It’s even worse than I thought…! I can’t feel my legs at all!)
Manager: 20 seconds left!
Maika: It’s as good as mine!
Honoka: (The numbness is starting to wear off…!)
Honoka: Alright, let’s go!
Haruna: Whoa, Honoka-chan’s going so fast!
Shiho: She caught up in an instant!
Manager: Time’s up!
Haruna: What a comeback by Honoka-chan!
Maika: Honoka…you really are something else…
Honoka: You think so? It’s all thanks to my daily exercises!
Tumblr media
Fin.
Notes
[1]: Hyakunin Isshu, also known as Uta-garuta, refers to a card game where the first part of a poem is read out, and the two players race to grab the card on the floor with the matching half of the poem. The players are seated on the floor, and sit with their feet tucked under their legs (seiza) when not reaching for a card.
[2]: Not sure I'd ever seen or heard of the side-step test in my life, but from Googling the Japanese term it seems to be a pretty common phys ed thing over there, and not unusual to be seen in phys ed classes. Here’s one video example if you want)

The significance of angel number 1818 is a reminder to make wise decisions, build your life around positive people, and keep your focus on what really matters in life.
It’s not just about striving for success and accumulating possessions, but rather finding peace and joy in whatever may come your way.
Ask yourself what you truly desire from life because it will help direct your path going forward. You need not have any fear of making changes as long as you stay true to yourself and listen to your heart. Don’t let other people tell you how you should run your life since you are the only one who knows what’s best for you. If others try to discourage or manipulate you into giving up on something important, don’t listen because only you can define your destiny.
So never give up on your hopes and dreams just because someone tells you not to pursue them. Your ambitions are worth fighting for!

Using this particular number, Gods are attempting to communicate two crucial messages to you.
You are a powerful force to be reckoned with
Even if you are not consciously aware of it, you have an abundance of commanding skills and leadership virtues deep within your soul. If you wish to initiate a wave of uplifting change, the first step is to acknowledge and accept these qualities that already exist within you.
Do not let your own self-doubt prevent you from accepting the respect and gratitude that you deserve. You have an inner strength and positivity that will allow you to persevere in the face of adversity.
By drawing on this strength within, you will be able to navigate through life’s difficulties with greater ease!
Have a strong sense of self-confidence
Remember that setbacks are inevitable when attempting to achieve something significant in life, but they should not dissuade you from your mission. The key is to remember that it’s all up to you—no one else can help you if you don’t help yourself.
The only way to fulfill your dreams is to push through the pain and embrace the struggle. When things get tough, remind yourself that this hardship is necessary in order to achieve your goals.
You won’t always be able to see the reason behind the challenges you face, but you can trust that they are paving the way to a brighter future.
Reasons Why You Keep Seeing 1818 Number
If you keep seeing 1818, it is a message from the angels encouraging you to take more responsibility for your life and to start cultivating deeper relationships with others. You are being asked to adopt a more mature mindset and become more serious about your goals in life.
You may be caught up in your daily routines or feel like your time is being wasted on things that don’t really matter. But the truth is, everything we do matters. Even the tiniest acts of compassion can have a significant effect on the world we live in.

Do you want to promote a message in a way that resonates with folks? Are you looking for a better way to promote your business? Posters have been able to do that and more for decades. There’s a reason posters have not just survived as an advertising tool but have continued to be popular for many years. Today, our poster printing in Los Angeles can deliver a higher-caliber poster than ever before. There are so many reasons that more people want posters than ever. Light-Blocking and Lightning-Fast Turnarounds We know that, for many of our clients, there’s no time to waste when it comes to getting your posters. To that end, our turnaround time is fast indeed. That way, you’re able to have posters when and how you need them. Moreover, we make our posters out of some of the best materials available, too: 8 mil Photo Gloss with a “Pigment/Dye/QuickDry – Photo Quality Glossy” material. What does all of that mean? Simple: these posters will not only stand out, but they’re also completely light-blocking, too. High-Caliber and High Quality Yes, our turnaround time for posters can be incredibly fast. That said, we don’t believe that you should ever have to compromise when it comes to quality, either. So, we offer the best of both worlds. Even with the fast turnaround time, you’re getting posters that meet your exact, specific needs. Indeed, we’re always glad to talk to you about exactly what you’re looking for in a poster. You can come to us with an entirely fleshed-out idea and we can bring it to life. Or, alternatively, we can also draw upon our years of experience to make your poster exactly what you want it to be. Build Your Brand for the Long Term with Posters There are some who might think that a poster has become passe, and isn’t really worth it to a business in our modern, digital era. The truth is that posters will always be beneficial in some way. Unlike a social media ad, for example, a poster never goes away. It’s always there, in its place. It’s always there, of course, until you move it somewhere else, which is another benefit to posters – they’re portable. Our clients have used posters in trade shows, presentations, and so much more, only to eventually return them to hang on the walls of the office until the next time they’re needed for public presentation. A Home for Poster Printing in Los Angeles and More Poster printing is one of the more popular services that we offer here at Printing Matters, absolutely. We’ve been printing posters here essentially since the beginning, and can put all of that experience to work for you. That said, we also offer much more than just posters. Banners, postcards, business cards, foamboard, and so much more – we can make it to fit your business just right. To see how we can help, head to our site or call us at (818) 260-9512.

What is an Extinction Burst and Ways to Cope | Sleep Training Tips
The Extinction Burst…. What is it, why is it important for you to understand, AND how do you come out the other side a better mama.
So what is an extinction burst you ask? An extinction burst happens when you are trying to extinguish behaviors or habits and instill new behaviors or habits. It applies not only to sleep training but to ANY behavior that you are trying to extinguish.
What is an extinction burst & what are ways to cope?
The definition goes something like this…It is an increase in the undesirable behavior when the reinforcement for the behavior is removed. So in layman’s terms it means “ It’s going to get worse before it gets better”
So let’s talk about sleep training and the extinction burst
Any time you are going to start a sleep training plan you are most likely going to have a period of a day to a few days where an extinction burst happens. The length and intensity depend on a variety of factors, the main one being your child’s temperament and how long the old habits have been in place. It also depends on how fast or slow the sleep training process takes. Slow changes make for a less intense extinction burst. Changes that happen more quickly can cause a more intense extinction burst, generally speaking.
The good news is that for MOST babies the extinction burst is over in 3 days max. For babies, the extinction burst typically involves some crying and protest. For toddlers, it may involve some crying or tantrums. BUT, the good news is it typically only takes about 24 hours for the baby or toddler to start to become FAMILIAR with the new routine and while they don’t yet LOVE the new routine they are starting to adjust and accept it.
This is PROGRESS! As they adjust and accept it ( and start feeling better because they’re getting more sleep!) the protesting significantly lessens over the course of the next few days ( or many times sooner!) and usually by day 4 you are over the hump and your baby is happy and has no memory of the old routine or any crying that he did in the process of adjusting to something new.
Now YOU can move on to enjoying your baby and family again because everyone is getting some much-needed sleep! You feel better, your baby feels better and life begins to feel a WHOLE lot more manageable again!
So while many parents dread the extinction burst, once it is over they will tell you that those few days were absolutely worth the ability to sleep again! AND it is NEVER as bad as mom and dad think it’s going to be.
So now let’s talk about some ways to cope when you’re in the middle of it.
If you have a baby with a harder temperament or maybe you just feel you cannot stand hearing your baby cry at all. You need to have some tools so you stay focused and calm. Then, if your baby really decides that he’s gonna let you know that he’s NOT happy about the changes you’ll have the tools in your toolbox to be successful.
You have to have a plan if you want to be successful and be able to follow through. Right responses each time your baby protests is the key to get through the extinction burst as quickly as possible. Consistency is your BFF here….
First, let your spouse or partner do some of the heavy lifting so everything doesn’t fall on your shoulders.
This is especially true if you are a nursing mama. You may need breaks or simply be able to leave the house. Feel free to let your spouse handle it for a few hours. Most babies do better with dad and most times dad’s energy is calmer and less anxious so let him take on the burden so you can take breaks.
Second, don’t listen to your baby cry at full volume over a monitor!
While this is a practical suggestion you will be torturing yourself if you sit and watch the monitor and listen to your baby cry over a microphone! Instead, do something for yourself. Take a hot bath, take a walk, or do something to decompress. Lowering your stress hormones is very helpful to keep your energy calm and peaceful. Your baby picks up on your energy so keep that in mind as you are caring for your baby during this time.
Third, you need to remember why you started down this path of sleep training in the first place.
Why it was important to you and what you wanted to achieve.
Here are some examples of your Why:
I need a full night’s sleep so I can be the best version of myself. Both for my spouse and my baby/kids.
I need to be able to take time for my own self-care and do things that fill my cup. This is so I am not always running on empty.
I need time to connect with my spouse so our marriage can stay strong and connected. This gives our kids security.
I want my baby/kids to learn good sleep habits and, to wake each morning rested and rejuvenated. This is so they can be their best selves.
It is my job to make sure that my kids’ sleep needs are met so their brains and bodies can be healthy.
Living in sleep deprivation is not serving anyone in my family. Not my marriage, not my kids, and not me.
It’s not selfish to sleep train, it’s not selfish to need a full night’s sleep.
Whatever your WHY is write these things down. Look at the list when you’re in the middle of the extinction burst. This will help you stay mentally strong and focused.
If you do these things you will get through these few days much easier. Before you know it, the extinction burst will be over. Your quality of life will be elevated. Then you will wonder why you were worried at all. Trust me, I hear this ALL the time!! When your baby goes from waking multiple times per night to sleeping 11–12 hours THROUGH the night, those few days of protesting will be a distant memory! Especially now that you see how much happier your baby is now that he’s rested.
So here’s the thing, ANYTIME you have to extinguish a behavior regardless of your child’s age ( yes, you will have to do this throughout your parenting) you’re going to have a child who will let you know they’re NOT happy! Just know that this is normal and don’t be afraid to be the parent. Your children will grow up and thank you for not being afraid to give them the loving boundaries they needed. Because yes, parents that love their kids give them boundaries.
If you want to learn more about sleep training or if you just have questions about the extinction burst and what to expect, don’t hesitate to reach out to me! I’m here to answer your questions and help remove the fear from sleep training.
