Also. The amount of people calling the female gods "a bitch" is insufferable. First of all, lazy insult, second of all, these characters are fucking ancient. They have years of history in them. You can't just think of their character as "a bitch". NOT EVEN THE BITCH, JUST A BITCH — AS IN, AN INSULT

Don't you think it's funny cause actual canon gay characters in BL manga will say "I love you" but only the shounen bromance can spew out some of the most romantic shit akin to a 19th century poet writing a letter expressing his surpressed love for his lover 😭.....

Genuniely can't tell if it's bait or not, but I'm going to treat this ask seriously anyway.

Here, have some examples of beautiful and poetic expressions of love in BL media!

I'm going to start with my favourite murder husbands, Wen Kexing and Zhou Zishu from Word of Honor/Faraway Wanderers!

This happens in episode nine, less than one third into the story- it's that early, they've known each other for like a week and are already able to tell they're meant to be. They've made their decision to be together, and over the course of the story:

They defend each other multiple times and fight side by side in multiple episodes, sometimes protecting their adopted kid/mentee Chengling as well

Zhou Zishu is willing to go against the whole martial arts society for his boyfriend. With zero hesistation, might I add.

They both know the other has done horrible things (lots of murder on both sides here) and that's not only okay, it's a big part of why they're soulmates and get each other so well!

Zhou Zishu is slowly dying (poisoned nails in his chest, long story) and Wen Kexing can and will risk his life to save him. Don't worry, they get a happy ending both in the show and the novel even if the show's last episode is behind a paywall and Netflix didn't even include it for some reason?

But enough about them, let's move on to the immortal fantasy genre boyfriends Hua Cheng and Xie Lian from Heaven Official's Blessing!

Please note how Hua Cheng is ready to accept Xie Lian in whatever state he's currently in- as a god, a fallen outcast, even grieving and angry and at his absolute lowest. He's stood by Xie Lian in his worst moments, even if at the time Xie Lian had no idea it was him.

Hua Cheng has loved Xie Lian for 800 years, ever since he was a boy Xie Lian saved from falling to his death during a procession.

Xie Lian became a god, then fell due to horrible circumstances, almost committed a war crime against another nation that destroyed his country, spend 800 years wandering the mortal realm as a poor cultivator with his powers greatly reduced, and eventually ascended to become a god again. Throughout it all, Hua Cheng loved him and did his best to help him and then find him.

They're both adorable and the definition of a power couple once they're reunited- no spoilers, but they eventually fight an incredibly powerful god side by side and win & the last scene in the story is them reuniting for good since there's no more obstacles to their immortal love.

Let's move on to my favourite Japanese BL, Our Dining Table (also available as a series that came out semi-recently, but the examples below are from the manga.)

Yutaka is a lonely salesman who meets Minoru, a restaurant worker and his much younger brother Tane grieving the death of their mother.

Yutaka and Minoru hit it off by bonding through food they cook and share. The series is incredibly heartwarming, and as seen above Yutaka becomes a much happier person thanks to both his new relationship and big brother-like bond with little Tane.

As a little bonus, the whole found family together!

This post can't be complete without Golden Stage (or Golden Terrace, as the English official translation calls it).

Fu Shen and Yan Xiaohan aren't even in love at this point! This is at the beginning of the story, when their marriage has just been arranged by the emperor and they're still bitter rivals.

Yan Xiaohan is already protective of his future husband- later on, he also builds him a mansion meant to accommodate his disability (nerve damage in both legs, which requires a wheelchair and/or crutches). They're both incredibly powerful military generals, and the emperor was an idiot thinking an arranged marriage would humiliate them.

Of course they fall in love, of course they're a power couple, of course they send each other letters through trained geese when they're separated during the war, of course they run to each other as fast as they can across a wide cold river when they're finally reunited! Of course they're important to me!

....Aaand how about some Wangxian to wrap up this post? They need no introduction, an absolutely wonderful and complex relationship in a complex fantasy/intrigue story available in several forms - the books, the animated series (as seen above), the live action series, the audio drama, there's so much!

Some of their most beautiful moments:

Lan Wangji writing a song for Wei Wuxian and naming it Wangxian. Years after it's composed, Wei Wuxian plays it and LWJ is able to recognise him even in a different body.

LWJ begs WWX to come with him to Cloud Recesses, to safety, after WWX makes himself an enemy of the whole cultivation world for protecting innocent people.

They confront the final villain together, and work together to expose his crimes. This is also when their final love confession happens, and it's hilarious- in front of everyone's salad, WWX declares he also wanted to sleep with LWJ.

Despite censorship, the animated series was still able to allude to their wedding, showing them in red wedding robes (unfortunately can't find a gif rn)

Respectfully, if you genuinely think BL doesn't have beautiful love confessions and displays of romance, you need to find better BL.

SMG4: CEO OF RIZZ

Three and kaizo are shown, which made it very clear that some of us headcanon three as an uncle and kaizo as the nephew XD

So boopkins has a date with this famous girl and three helps boopkins get his rizz in order to achieve his restaurant getting popular.

I somehow found this one very interesting, I mean- I wouldnt be a shock if it's miku already. Since somehow it's boopkins, and the girl he'd been the one to date are something from fictional stuffs. I never guessed miku but I guessed that it was some anime related.

Then we get- to see this...its a side to side comparisson of how four and three act alot like this when they needed something.

Here comes the begging strategy... so if you put two and two together, they ended up giving them what they wanted with the same "fine" to make that person shut up.

This also leads to how three is never that much aware that his actions in public is drawn attention that he is less destructful and is in his soft side.

Like how he did the same in SMG4 during that time before they both got stuck on an elevator? Three gave him a chance to stop his whining ass. Like he didn't even argue or straight up complained to the blue man, he just basically gave him what he wanted.

This portrays the same thing Miku does as she goes back and returns to the date she has with boopkins.

It'd be a shock if I were to say I weren't that much very cultured on anime stuff but Umaru used to be my favorite childhood show.

Its funny that miku has interests on being a fan of other animes since again- miku is a vocaloid character who sings songs out on public.

When boopkins gave out his moral lesson about "just you being you" and "you dont have to change who you are even tho you're not that much of a gigachad" or sh-t

Because we have three- WHO IS DEFINITELY DONE WITH HIS CRAP- I wouldn't be suprised to this honestly- we already know how SMG3 reacts when boopkins is there, and even with those comments about how he has beef with him about "boopkins bein a loser, he really thinks he's part of the crew"

We pretty much understand how Three isn't a much fan on fiction anime stuff or is even a weeb. Just by looks of Boopkins, he's the one who shows as an openly hearted and a very generous, loyal, kindest creature to have.

But three thinks it's a sh-t because no one else is perfect and that this doesnt matter too much at all to him since EVERYONE is broken enough already.

Which defines him as the emo person in question:

"What the hell is the meaning of life, when you know nothing ever changes shit with where we all still suffered?"

Three is just so desparate enough to run his business and would literally want its popularity get expanded for newcomers to try and welcome themselves from the cafe, mostly enough he'd do anything and EVERYTHING with this power.

That calls out for another hyperfixation.

I never have much to say in this but I somehow found the episode a bit on the neutral side between good or bad-

The episode is... well.... i dunno- interesting, but somehow with attempts on making boopkins "uncharacterize" himself to be a rizzler is weird, but this definitely shows why boopkins doesnt have that kind of rizz SMG3 has.

A-anyway- again- my point stands out that Three definitely haz rizz, and Four definitely is lying to the fact that he says he 'doesnt' during the elevator episode.

I'd think about wanting to put Three on a rizz attempt on four still XD (people are gonna go crazy on this)

why I like them: could have been SO GOOD in theory okay? I will never shut up about this because "character who everyone thinks is evil is actually just the victim of a smear campaign and some really bigoted propaganda" is SUCH a good character concept and I wish darkling fans were right about him because it would be so fucking cool and aesthetic

why I don't: he uh. he isn't that. he could have been so fucking iconic and instead he was just a vicious murderer. who grooms teenage girls.

favourite episode/scene: LOVE the bit where alina stabs his hand in s1e8. tbf that's more of a fav alina moment than anything else lmao, let me think... okay fr I love the "fine. make me your villain" scene bc it just really showcases who he is as a character and how he sees himself (hint: those two things are not the same)

favourite season/movie: imo he's better written in s1 of the show than in s2, idk though. and I do love his story in the kos duology lmao

favourite line: that one bit in rule of wolves where he says "everything I have done has been for ravka" because it's so clearly Not True and yet.... he clearly thinks it is.... so where does intent stop and impact begin...... it's deep okay

favourite outfit: purely for shits and giggles I'm going to say his black kefta in s2 where there's bits of gold bc I loveeee people being haunted by those they've wronged and I think alina haunting him really fits into that theme

otp: no thank you! in all honesty he prob could have been Fixed™ if he'd had a genuine relationship at an earlier age but he didn't so I refuse to inflict him on any other character. darkolai is interesting to consider though bc I feel like the ways they see themselves clash so heavily.... it's about self image and it's about villainy and law and justice and power and and and. they would Not be a good relationship but I think they should interact more for the Narrative

brotp: his sister ulla! they'd have such a fun sibling dynamic lmao I think it'd be sweet

headcanon: tbh I don't tend to think about him much beyond the big narrative stuff so I'm struggling to think of something that fits the genre of "headcanon".... but let's humanise him a little! I bet he reads really literary fiction and gets ever-so-slightly pretentious about it lmao

unpopular opinion: is it unpopular to say that despite his original good intentions he's a bit of a dickhead and not as smart as he thinks he is? in some corners of the fandom it totally is but idk

a wish: at this point there's not much more that could be done with his character beyond what's already been set up (him being mercy killed so he's not suffering in the thorn wood for all eternity) so I'm going to say that I hope his stans get better reading comprehension bc dear GOD some of the takes I see (posted in the alina tag btw I'm not deliberately seeking them out) are absolutely horrendous. is that too salty? perhaps. idc though it's my blog and darkling stans are free to block me if they don't like my takes

I really like the fight scene, Luke's animation is kinda wonky but I really miss seeing Kurie's animation!! God, seeing Milly fight for something Zoey stole is really fucking relatable. That final interaction with Milly and Jake where they reflect on the whole thing is just- beautiful, awesome, fantastic. It's really sweet and I love seeing Milly finally being comfortable enough to talk about her feelings (even if she isn't being too specific or conveying all of her feelings)

Anyways, I love the sound effects Rosy used to add whenever people would blush, I miss it (iirc it isn't in any of the new ep)

Tsubasa and Masamune

They are so brothers oh my fucking god. I just want Masamune to get up to the most devious deeds and force Tsubasa to come along with him. I want Masamune to bully him and Tsubasa to chase him down and thwack him with a foam Minecraft sword. I want Masamune to make Tsubasa do stupid challenges with him on his youtube channel, like gaming or baking dangerous concoctions. I want Tsubasa to say "there's no way you'll stay out all night" to confident party-goer Masamune, and for Masamune to call him at 11pm, tired out of his mind, saying "pls come pick me up🥺 and maybe get a Mickey D's on the way👉👈" and of course Tsubasa does just that. They would be the ultimate Fucking Idiot and Braincell duo.

Benkei and Demure

The besties ever. The big softies of Wild Fang. They are such loving and supportive friends to everyone, of course they're perfect for each other. I imagine them writing letters to each other for the entire period between Masters and Fury, with cute scribbles and pictures of wildlife from their respective homes and pressed flowers, and of course there's always a "Kyoya says hi!" when he really didn't and a "Nile says he misses you!" when of course he did. These two are the glue that holds Wild Fang together (literally in Benkei's case).

Yu and Kenta

Little guys just want to hang out and have fun. Is that too much to ask? Kenta was Yu's first true friend, who just liked him for him and wanted to hang out with him for no personal gain. And Yu really does believe in Kenta and his skills, despite what others think of his power level. And despite Kenta often being left behind on adventures, Yu always cheers and embraces him when they meet again. They're just such besties and I want the world for them they deserve happiness and silliness.

Daxiang and Chiyun

These two had more development in Fury in the span of five minutes than anyone else in that season had the entire time. Chiyun presents as this stubborn and uptight little dude who knows how to find his own way and doesn't take shit from anyone. But when it comes to Daxiang, he just melts in pure adoration and love. The thing Chiyun truly wants more than anything in the world is to be good enough to stand at Daxiang's side; but Daxiang assures him that he is already enough, and he always will be no matter how many times they fall. And when they're told about the legendary bladers and Chiyun wonders why he wasn't chosen, Daxiang assures him again that they don't need to be bestowed star power to be great; they've already worked so hard to gain their own strength. I just think they're neat.

Madoka and Sophie

Something something "oh my god look at that incredibly powerful woman with a rich knowledge of history and amazing Beyblade skills, I want to learn everything I have left to learn from her" and "where did this sweet child come from, she is so curious about the world. I will tell her all about it while we're getting our hair and nails done". I just feel like Madoka would idolise her a LOT and Sophie would try to bring her image of her back to earth with some casual hangout time.

Honourable mention is the dynamic between Wang Hu Zhong and Gan Gan Galaxy. That fucks.

The day where he began to convince them of his righteousness, the justness of his cause, how far he'd come in his own personal journey towards the light. It all was the reason he was living, when anyone else would have perished, the reason for leaving the Legion, it was the purpose he was meant for. How could the courier have denied him? When the evidence was burned upon his flesh for anyone with eyes to see, or with hands to feel.

A missionary, bringing the glory of his beliefs to the indecisive tribals of the surrounding lands beyond New Canaan.

He was doing them a favor.

Saving them from themselves, from their sinful, heathen ways.

How could I have been so blind?

The courier's head shook, still in disbelief at their own ignorance.

"You never changed. You just... Don't have the Legion behind you anymore, but you're doing the same shit that began it."

"You're wrong." His voice was low now, dangerous, filled with the same cool fury they saw flashing in his stark, blue eyes. "Sallow would never be able--"

"Caesar and you are the same." They interrupted with a groan, "You both started the practices that became the Legion together. The violence, the disrespect for anything that doesn't resemble your ideal culture, imposing your ideas onto anyone misfortunate enough to align with the paths you've mapped across the Mojave. Using them to your advantage with no consideration of what is truly best for them, for their people."

"We've done more for the tribals of these lands than you could've ever imagined. Their lives were chaos, they were devoid of meaning, bleeding sin and uncertainty. I'm providing them with a path. A road to the righteousness that--"

"Oh, bullshit! That's your own perspective talking, Joshua. Did any one of them actually consent to your manipulation? To taking your beliefs as their own? To their wives becoming slaves? Their sons becoming soldiers? Their men being forced to fight for you or die?"

The former Legate bared his teeth below his bandages, his scowl scrunching the space between his eyes in a vicious snarl.

"That was the Legion. Alone, I have made no such threats, taken no such action. I've only provided opportunity."

"Only because you don't have the manpower. What happens when you gain followers once more? When the Dead Horses rally behind you, as they've already started doing? Just like the Blackfoots once did with you and Caesar. Then whose to stop them, to stop you? When the pillaging and raping and forced assimilations all begin anew in the name of some righteous being that they may or may not even believe exists?"

Joshua recoiled at the vision they painted for him, at the future they saw for him, the one he'd have died getting away from if the Lord hadn't spared him for this new purpose.

How could they not see it his way?

The glory and mercy of God saved me from a cruel and terrible fate. Do they not see that that is exactly what I want for the tribals? The Dead Horses welcomed me, and provided an answer to the violence that took place in New Canaan. How could I not take advantage of this opportunity the Lord so plainly provided me with?

He saw nothing wrong with his plans. He would gift the Dead Horses with the glory of his God, with the knowledge to save them from the fiery pit of hell in the afterlife. He would bring them to righteousness, to understand that their way of life is wrong and wretched by comparison, that suffering in the next life is inevitable if they do not follow his teachings and do as he bids them.

He would save them, as God once spared his wretched life.

And in return, they would help him avenge the deaths of the good people of New Canaan.

A small favor for what they receive in return.

His work is anything but the selfish conquering the Legion has practiced since they lost their way, all those years ago.

"If you do not see the reason behind my actions," He began, trying in vain to keep his voice level, "Knowing my past and my story, knowing full-well what God's grace is capable of, then I cannot help you."

Six sighed then, and Joshua's eyes narrowed in expectation.

"I never should have sought you out." They whispered, shaking their head as they spoke, "Never should have trusted you. I should have known that anyone responsible for the horrors that the Legion has wrought all across the Mojave and beyond would never truly change."

"The fact that you do not believe I have changed only proves your ignorance. You did not know the man I was before..."

"But I did."

Joshua's brows furrowed, his covered lips poised for a searing response.

"Maybe not personally," They continued, "but you told me everything about yourself. The monster you once were, how much better you are now, but if that's true... I can't imagine how horrid you must have been, how truly delusional... to be able watch everything, to participate in everything the Legion has done."

"Then you must not have been listening." He spat the words, as though it pained him when they left his throat.

"Still, then..." Six's voice was calmer now, the initial venom sucked out by Joshua's admittance, "With everything you've done, everything you have and haven't admitted to when you were in the Legion, do you really think... that you deserve a second chance?"

Now Joshua sighed, suddenly looking so tired at the thought of defending himself and his actions of his own accord.

"Who am I to argue with my creator?" He asked them simply, "And who are you to question the will of God the Almighty?"

Six's brows hardened over their eyes as they firmly held his gaze.

"Someone who thinks, no matter what your God says, that no man who is comparable to Caesar should ever get a second chance."

Joshua surprised them as a noise akin to a slight chuckle sounded through his wrappings.

"To that, courier, I say it is only righteous to hate the sin, but to still love the sinner. For, if I am able to do so, even after all that Sallow has done to myself personally, is that not worth something in your eyes?"

Merc Squad

Merc Squad, Unhellstorm Productions, 2011?

This game vies for the title of "worst TTRPG name ever". I'm sure there are worse ones, but hooo boy this one ain't good. I'm going to put aside the name for now, though, because some of the mechanics are fascinating.

MS revolves around the squad itself. Your team works for a megacorp, executing paramilitary actions for them, like storming a building, defending a stronghold, or boarding a starship. You're not really playing a character per se, you're playing a role within the squad. A role with a personality that you define, but... How about an example. Let's say you're playing The Artillery. If your character dies, you just bring in another one with basically the same stats, because your team needs The Artillery and your employer just replaces you with someone who fits the team. It's the "I'm playing my last character's cousin who looks the exact same as him and has the same skills" trope but as the core of the game loop.

It's a vicious commentary on the way that corporate and paramilitary life treats people as interchangeable cogs in a murder machine. That's especially true since the character you're playing, the team you're part of, the branch of the megacorp that employs you, and the megacorp itself are all on a game-mechanics-designated "good guy to bad guy to good guy" loop, none of which are synched up with one another. You can delay progress on the loop, but you can't hold everything at "good guy" at once, so eventually you either end up as one of the baddies or working for the baddies or both.

You may end up wanting your character to die because they've picked up so many negative character traits, and your next one will at least be new and naive and uncorrupted... so far. Or you might dive into the dark side and come out repentant. It's a game where you have to be willing to see your character change in some pretty specific ways. Not for everyone or every group.

Combat is also squad-based. You're never rolling to hit. (Well, rarely.) Instead you're rolling to add points to your side's victory meter and to force fallout rolls for the other side, hoping that they're more interested in retreating to safety than staying and facing awful consequences. There's some clear influence from Dogs in the Vineyard here.

The setting is pretty bog-standard science-fantasy stuff. Megacorps, energy weapons, combat-oriented magic that they call something else, species where half of them look suspiciously like fantasy races and the other half are wild shit, starships, etc. It's not done badly, but you've seen it before. Steal the mechanics and put them on top of a more interesting setting. And for the name of god, change the name of the game.

Merc Squad (ugh) was self-published on the ebook shop of a now-defunct small press site. You can occasionally find a copy in the now-defunct .bookr format, for which you'll need a Windows 7 machine to run the no-longer-supported Word converter. Unhellstorm is, of course, long gone. If anyone is on the other end of their hotmail account (ha!), they're not answering.

ALSO NEW DRIP!!!.... for a couple minutes before she realizes that Sprigattito feels neglected after a full day of her chaseing after the little turtle boi. Which is actually very important, we've seen just how much she cares about her mons, and it's the reason why Olivia and G-Moltress trusted her (well okay Moltress went with her after seeing Terrapagos.) We also got a potential reason behind seeing the memories of Lucius due to the pendant, Liko caring about them had a reaction in Terrapagos. Good to know.

Who knows where it could be in the first place (someone said Alolah is possible which I agree with)

We do know that Rayquazza is still here, in Galar, thanks to Dot. We're still getting him, and after that... who knows! (I just hope Roy gets his dream come true with catching it and all)

Kay omg. SO, I'm really curious now how other choices end up playing out cuz for the most part this was a fairly happy end. Not 100% happy, as some people didn't get important things but all things considered things went well.

BUT.

I chose to side with the Emperor for this play. I know it was kinda sus on whether or not he was lying and using you as a means to an end for his own selfish needs, but I decided to take the chance and just follow through with the things he wanted. (Except taking the fancy worm to evolve, I was too scared to do that.) I only used a small handful of the worms through my play, and it ended up not being a problem at the end. My boy was completely fine and cured of his brain worm problem.

also this happened while trying to confront the brain the first time. LMAO

Siding with the Emperor and putting complete trust in him involved giving him the nether stones and it did end with the Githyanki prince guy dying. Cuz in order to leave the prisim properly to help me with the fight he had to absorb his abilities.... which meant eating his brain....

RIP Prince guy. Sorry for that....

But after that unfortunate event he was able to adventure with me outside the prism and I could control him in all the fighting as an allied companion. So I had a crew of 5 running around instead of just 4.

BUT I ALSO LEARNED MY BABY OWLBEAR WAS OKAY. He had previously like.... vanished from my camp and I was pretty sure it was a bug. But the lil babu was all grown up! AND IN ARMOUR!

The allies became quite useful, you could call on a handful of people to come as allied game controlled characters in some of the fights cuz damn them end game fights didn't fuck around. They just swarmed you with enemies.

In the end moments I genuinely thought there was gonna be a moment when the Emperor was gonna pull some shit to like take control of everything himself but he never did. He genuinely just wanted the brain gone. So we were 100% on the same side and so giving him the stones and everything was not an error it worked out.

Now in the cut scenes following the destruction of the brain my game kinda shit itself and stopped loading textures so things started to look absolutely bonkers for me and was a lil hard to follow. I think it's cuz I had been playing for so long my poor lil baby system was struggling to keep up with all the stuff it was throwing at me so I had to save, close the game and relaunch in the middle of the end stuff. Lae'zel peaced out, she was obviously not vibing with the fate of the prince guy. Understandably so. She did thank me for everything else that was done tho. Astarion was really upsetting cuz he was all ready to party, and then the poor guy started to burn in the sun and had to book it. kfdjghdkfjgh and then Karlach. Oh GOD. My poor heart.

I almost fuckin cried fam. She was about to die, and Wyll bust in going NOT ON MY WATCH and the pair of them peaced out to Avernus to save her and kick ass together. I would have offered to go with them but I had a funky lil wizard to worry about too. But I knew with the two of them they'd be okay.

The Emperor was just content everyone was free he said he'd miss my boy and thanked me for trusting him when most people wouldn't have. dkjfghdkfg He's a pretty cool dude.

And then there's this guy. This loveable lil nerd.

It's actually fucking cute as hell and very fitting. I hadn't given Casvius a surname at all cuz they;re hit and miss with Tieflings. Some have some some don't, it's often a reflection of whether or not they keep family ties or if they've grown up outside of human culture influence and the like. I had it head canoned that he basically grew up in the Baldur Gates streets without a family but like managed and turned out okay. But he didn't have a surname at all cuz he didn't know what family he came from and didn't really care to find out. He figures his parents fucked up and he was the first tiefling in their bloodline and they panicked abandoning him. It wasn't an uncommon thing to have happen so it's what he kinda adopted as his own scenario too.

BUT NOW, HE CAN HAVE ONE. He can go marry Gale and be Casvius Dekarios. A name he's happy with and more than glad to adopt as his own.

ANYWAY This fuckin game is brilliant, and I hope it wins game of the year. Fuck. It deserves it. The scope of this game is unreal and you can tell a lot of love was poured into making it.

I'm probs gonna remake this boy and play again later so I can go back through parts that had been previously bugged and patched after I had passed them.

Okay so my thoughts and questions on chapter 18:

SPOILERS AHEAD!

OH MY GOD, ONE OF MY FAVOURITE CHAPTERS YET, "CAN YOU FEEL THE LOVE TONIIIIIIIIIGHT?" It was so good, you guys have done amazingly!

I just had a quick question about Connor. So when we told the group about Rowan being a Power freak, Connor was understandably upset, but then he said that stuff about Rowan not being Amalia's real friend and I just wanted to know, was he on his way to becoming a Horror at this point, just because that seemed really cold and cruel on his part. On one hand, I know that when people are upset and angry they say things they don't always mean, trust me, your hearing from a girl who has said some pretty nasty things when she's upset. And he is probably still on edge from his mothers death. But on the other hand, all the other characters handle the news surprisingly well despite what the Power has done to them, even Noah. And I get people process things in different ways but I feel like for a guy like Connor, who literally let the boy who tried to kill his sister and her friends, stay at his house, he would have been a bit more forgiving. So was he already turning into a Horror by Rowan's confession?

I loved the scenes with everyone taking care of newly resurrected Devon. The reason I loved it so much is because during ilitw's, Devon pretty much spent their entire time looking after everybody else, making sure everybody was alright, while not being treated with the same courtesy (like their friends didn't even speak at their memorial and they were already dead, like come on!) So it was really nice to see them being looked after especially in the state their in.

That scene with Noah comforting Devon was just *chefs kiss* like it was the cutest frikin thing I've ever seen (my ilitw's MC is romancing Noah so this is like a dream come true to me, so thank you❤)

I love how everyone's calling Noah out on his undying love for Devon, it was one of the funniest things I read, like Jocelyn has no shame.

I'm romancing Abel, and that scene were he comes out to comfort us was beautiful. Also all that stuff he said about us being allowed to feel upset and angry about Amalia leaving really got to me, because in a situation like that, you would literally not be allowed to feel that way because you know people will think your being selfish, even though your inclined to feel that way, so thank you for that.

I honestly love Noah and Rowan's relationship because they have both lost a sibling, they've both lost their family's, so they have sort of become like each other's siblings, each other's family. Also I love how he gave Rowan Dan's number so that they can get some counselling if they need it, that's some worried, protective older brother shit right there.

I chose to take the counselling. As someone who has been seeing a psychologist for a few years now, I highly value counselling and recommend it to people who I see are struggling. So thank you for that.
