I started listening to Worlds Beyond Number and it's so good. I listened to the preludes and I'm about halfway through episode 1 (and trying to figure out the best point to subscribe and listen to the Children's Adventure) and it's so different and immersive. Absolutely perfect cast and I knew it was going to be something special when I saw everyone on here losing it over the sound design and THEY WERE RIGHT.

Also just works as a very large reminder that I love Aabria Iyengar.

Danny jumped off the table, surprising Tucker with the quick maneuver, as he pulled him along under the desks. As soon as they hit the floor a swirling of green energy manifested itself above them. Danny put a hand on Tucker's mouth, making sure he didn't make any noise, not to grab the attention of the apparition.

As fast as the ghost formed from nothing, it vanished even quicker, phasing through the wall entering the hallway of the school. Shrieks and screams filled Tucker's ears as he covered in his hiding spot. Danny let go of him and looked out from under the desk.

"What is going on?" whispered Tucker, barely keeping it together. His eyes couldn't leave the spot where the ghost had vanished, his feet planted to the ground in fear.

I have finished the first arc of Worlds Beyond Number, and it was great! Eursalon is the best! Ame is pushing up against the limits of her gentle worldview! Suvi fuckin' sucks and I love her!

For real, Aabria has painted a character I want to see get humbled constantly, she's a six-foot-tall 20-year-old child who is petty and demanding and spoiled and desperate for personal recognition and authority and I took tremendous pleasure in the dressing down she got at one point. She's learning, she's gonna have a great arc, I can see it, I'm enjoying how she's already learning, but also GOD what a frustrating character, I want to put her in a box and shake it like a rattle.

Killer lines from Brennan, killer musical moment in the finale, very afraid of getting caught up and then having no more to listen to! (Also I am SO interested in this world and in getting some answers re: the Kehmsarazan Empire, like there being a distinction at all between "Crown Wizards" and "Citadel Wizards" tells me so much through implication but I gotta know more, who RUNS this empire, who's the emperor, what are the politics, I MUST KNOW)
