It’s 3 am and I pulled an all-nigniter last night and I’m anticipating that I may have to do another one tonight so if this looks stupid as fuck I’m sorry but it’s a last resort.
I have a Kidde CO and explosive gas detector, model KN-COEG-3.
It began beeping a few hours ago. It was initially 3 beeps, with 15 seconds between each and multiple minutes between these sets of beeps (I hadn’t started timing them.) then it became 4 beeps, 15 seconds, 7 minutes between sets. Now it is a beep every 15 seconds without multiple minutes (except for a 1-2 minute break as I typed that.)
The display has the blinking dot, which I assume has just been flashing since it stopped taking breaks between sets. However for the first hour or so, it would show a 0 for a second or so after a couple of blinks of the dot.
The manual indicated that the display is saying it’s a battery related issue. However it also says that the two specific issues it would have initially lined up with would not cause beeping, and it doesn’t line up with any other beep patterns.
Someone PLEASE tell me what the fuck it’s doing.

I'm kinda still reeling from having a paper trail of just what happens when I black out for days at a time, but a panicked conversation with my roommate brought up a very odd question...
I'm (Kay) transfem, and have been for a whiiiile now. I've been medically transitioning for almost 13 years, and I've got 2/3 of the big surgeries done, save for bottom surgery... and Noah seems to still identify as a guy? Like, I pretty consistently blend in with cis women, and that has to be compensated for, so instead of thinking on what this means for my mental health, dating life, public scrutiny, relationship difficulties, studies or job prospects I'm asking the community to help me with a conundrum, because reading over journal entries isn't helping.
