Eddie Munson Headcanons Pt 4

It's been a year since my last list sooo here's more. A few are a bit similar to older ones, but I like these better lol

Eddie takes great pride in being able to belch the ABCs forward and backward. He can’t do it consecutively, though. I mean, he could, but it makes his tummy hurt.

Don’t ask him about doing cartwheels. He’s never been able to do a proper one, and he doesn’t wanna talk about it.

If his pack of cigs is getting low, he’ll steal a couple from Wayne’s. When his uncle starts to catch on and questions his disappearing smokes, Eddie gaslights the shit out of him.

He takes the rules of calling shotgun to heart.

Eddie is a total adrenaline junkie and thrill seeker, but not toward things that would get him in major trouble. He isn’t intimidated by any roller coaster, no matter the size. He will ride it again even if he hurls; it doesn’t deter him in the slightest.

He has a small mole on his right side and another under his peck.

After brushing his teeth and rinsing his toothbrush, he always taps it against the rim of the sink 3 times.

As a kid, Eddie was a habitual lip licker. Petroleum jelly just wasn’t something that could be found in the trailer. Up until he reached his preteen years, he had a rash around his mouth during the colder months each year.

Double jointed in his left thumb and enjoys freaking out squeamish people with it.

Ambidextrous when it comes to writing and slapping the ham, but he’s predominantly right handed otherwise.

This isn’t news to those who read my writing: Eddie is a nail biter. Unfortunately, he bites his toenails too. Only after showering, of course. It’s not his fault he can’t keep track of the nail clipper.

He can also often be seen gnawing on a toothpick; something he picked up from living with Wayne.

Eddie is more of a cat person, but he likes dogs too. Bigger dogs, preferably. Regardless of the species, he’s a chin and butt scratcher. He loves whenever he finds the right spot on a dog that makes it thump its leg.

If anything spooks this man to his core, it’s dolls. ESPECIALLY My Buddy & Kid Sister (google it, you'll understand). Anytime the commercial comes on, he closes his eyes and waits until the next ad starts.

Not necessarily much of a prankster, but crop dusting his buddies never gets old.

Prefers rock paper scissors to flipping a coin, and he’ll only call best out of three when he’s losing.

Honks like a goose whenever he blows his nose.

If there’s furniture to stub his toes on, said toes will be stubbed… hard.

Slightly allergic to cinnamon, it makes his throat itchy.

Eddie believes that crunchy peanut butter is superior to creamy. His PB&Js are 80% jelly. He licks the knife clean before switching between jars.

thank you for asking about my wips!! these are both old wips that have been on the backburner because i've been seized by uhhh bandom brainrot, BUT i really want to go back and finish them sometime. i've actually written a good chunk of both of them, i just need to kick myself in the butt to finish them!

full answer beneath the cut because i included some excerpts!

homecoming starker - a post-homecoming missing scene fic where tony finds peter when he's sitting on top of the Cyclone roller coaster after the Vulture fight. peter is super beat up and doesn't want to go home right away so tony buys him mcdonald's and takes him to a condo he owns in the area. peter thinks he's in for another lecture (since the last time they talked was after the ferry incident); meanwhile, tony is freaking out because he took away peter's spidey suit and peter almost DIED (peter is also freaking out because he almost died, and he has never gotten hurt this bad before as spider-man). the fic is meant to instigate the transition from tony being the Distant Figure that he is in homecoming to a more active mentor/presence in peter's life (like he is in all the fanfics), so of course they end up talking stuff out. because i love fix-its and making characters talk things out, lol

also though i call it starker, the fic is really preslash/could definitely be tagged & not / but of course in my heart they WILL fall in love one day hahaha

wtf i looked at my draft to get an excerpt and THIS FIC IS ALMOST DONE, WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME (it's only like 3k but i am chronically bad at finishing fics no matter the length)

Tears well up. He fights them back, not wanting to cry in front of Mr. Stark. But he still can’t get his voice to sound quite normal as he whispers, “I’m sorry.” “You’re sorry,” Mr. Stark echoes. And then, incredulously, “You’re sorry? What the hell do you have to be sorry for?” Peter swallows. “I caused trouble for you.” “Kid.” Mr. Stark pinches the bridge of his nose. “That is the last thing I’m worried about right now.” “Then… what are you worried about?” Mr. Stark stares at him, eyes wide. “I’m worried about you,” he snaps, and suddenly the anger that’s been radiating from him the whole night takes on a whole different shade. “Oh,” Peter says, for lack of anything better. “God, kid.” Mr. Stark shakes his head. “I’m the one who has to apologize here.” Peter waits, but Mr. Stark doesn’t say anything else. Mr. Stark must see something expectant in his look, because he says, “What?” “Well…” Peter hesitates. “You haven’t said ‘sorry’ yet. Not that I think you need to! But if you want to apologize, um. ‘Sorry’ is a pretty good place to start.”

kittydevil - a silly little fic where matt murdock gets transformed into a kitty cat and peter finds him and takes him back to his apartment. this is in a vague future AU where peter is in college at Columbia so spidey swings by hell's kitchen every once in a while after becoming friends with daredevil. matt's only a kitty for a couple days, but that is still enough time for peter to become worried sick about him when foggy calls and says he's missing. and then of course matt turns back into himself... naked... in peter's bed. WE KNOW HOW THIS TROPE GOES!

Slowly, Matt untenses. He even takes a few steps closer to Peter and clambers into his lap, to which Peter makes a pleased noise. “Yeah,” he says. “We’re okay.” He rubs Matt’s head, then runs his hands along his sides. “No way you’re a stray, are you? Sweet thing like you. You seem clean, and well-fed, but these scars… Rough kittenhood, maybe?” Matt pretends his heart doesn’t do a funny little twinge when Peter calls him sweet thing. As Peter keeps petting him, Matt feels himself truly calm down for the first time since he was turned into a cat. Something rumbles in his chest—a purr. “Aww,” Peter says, like his heart is melting. Matt feels like he’s melting too, until he’s a boneless puddle in Peter’s lap. Cozy. “Good boy,” Peter says softly. Matt closes his eyes. His purr doesn’t falter.

-physical touches (especially butt smacks)-do i even need to explain-THSI DUDE IS A BUTT HUNTER!!-and he is probably the type to come home exhausted and the first thing he sees is you cooking in the kitchen,wearing headphones and blasting music,clueless of what's happening,he would stealthily take his opputunity to sneak up behind you and smack your butt!and maybe after you both are done eating,he would cuddle you on the couch,watching a movie

-BEST.COOK.EVER. like agreed the pictures of his creations are not appealing but the food seems like it tastes amazing!!!(just like him hehe),he would cook the best meals for you!!

-cat lover,most probably his cats are his top priority (sorry,not sorry,you are the second top priority) man would be babying his cats more than you!

~𝓓𝓪𝓽𝓮𝓼-Amusement parks-!!okay!!hear me out!!he would literally DRAG you to the amusement parks,he would win (or atleast try to) win the games and impress you!he would win prizes for you!!but hold on to him tight when you go on roller coasters,ferris wheels,basically any ride that takes you high-he has an insane fear of heights so protect this boy at all costs!!he would maybe walk around the amusement park with you,eating corndogs or popcorn as he talks to you about any struggles in his life and opens up to you!

Something bouncy bursts up from underneath you, launching you into the air! You land on your back atop a big, pink bubble, wobbling up and down on its elastic surface.

"Well he-LLO there, whatdowehave here?" A pink, cat-like creature pounces onto your chest, making the bubble wobble again as they grin at you, long tail wagging behind them. A Mew.

"Nice to get a new visitor in my realm! I was just feeling a little bored. Now let's get you into uniform!" Mew hops off of you, floating upward before conjuring another bubble and slapping it down with their tail to fly right at you! The bubbles squeeze together, squishing you so hard that you feel yourself compressing! Finally, the pressure becomes so great that-

*POP*

You're catapulted into the air yet again, and at the peak of your flight, Mew catches you. Which is impressive with how much smaller Mew is. Except that you're both the same size now.

"Alright, step 1 complete, you're looking better already! Time for step 2."

Mew drops you.

When you look down, you see LOADS of bubbles floating in the air, seconds before belly-flopping right onto one! It bounces you away, and as you tumble through the air, you notice the pink from the bubble lingering on your chest. Smacking into another bubble interrupts your thoughts, your arm sinking deep into it until you bounce away again, your fingers looking stubbier than usual.

You bounce and tumble from bubble to bubble, your body shifting with each collision. Occasionally you spot a pink blur that also bounces between the bubbles, giggling and cheering as you pass each other. Eventually, the bouncing slows down, until you're left lying on a wobbly bubble, utterly dazed from the airborne roller coaster...

When you finally recover from your daze, you have about 2 seconds to understand that the pink body you're looking down at is your own before a second pink body launches toward you, grinning as they tackle you deep into the bubble, deeper, until-

*Fwump*

You're inside.

"Woo-hoo! That was FUN, right!? Gosh, you new visitors are so unpredictable with how you bounce, it's tough to move the bubbles to catch you. And handling that WHILE bouncing along with you? Now THAT'S a challenge! Almost dropped you a couple times! Phew, I'm kinda worn out now. I know you just got here, but let's rest a bit, okay? You can play with me and the other visitors LOTS soon, that's a promise!"

Mew hugs you close and nuzzles their cheek to yours, the short fuzz rubbing against you stirring up your new instincts and giving a comforting feeling. Now that you aren't being flung around, the bubble you're lying in is nice as well; you sink into it like a mattress, and the texture feels great on your new fur.

Mew pokes their tail around your bottom, but then pauses, confused. "Hm? Oh, gosh, silly me! I forgot to do step 3." Mew reaches a hand behind you and grabs just above your rump, stubby fingers sinking in as your body shifts one last time. They pull and pull, floating away to stretch it as far as it'll go, then release, and your new tail springs back to smack you on the butt! You move it around instinctively, feeling the new limb as it drags against the bubble...

"Perfect! Now you're all set, new friend!" Mew settles in beside you again, wrapping you in a hug and sneaking their tail behind to wrap around yours. "Hope you enjoy your stay in my realm!"
