I wish lotura overheard even though their reaction might just them being flustered I can see them thinking its funny too and joking about it too. though deep down allura wishes he asked and Lotor wishes the courage. if I was Lotor I would be nervous asking allura to me marry. pretty woman but also intimating lol.
Hi, anon! Oh, the possibilities!
***
In the safety of the nearby hall, Princess Allura giggled with a hand over her mouth, her cheeks heated with a flush. "You must forgive my fellow paladins." She swept her hand back in the direction of the door they had since scuttled away from. "They're very silly sometimes, and they enjoy teasing me."
The tall Emperor Lotor turned to her, arching a white brow. "Teasing you?" he retorted. "In their play, they called me a 'bad boy,' which is quite inaccurate. Should I be concerned that your colleagues think me young and evil?"
She made a noise in the back of her throat as they walked. "Oh, I don't think--I don't believe that's what the phrase means. It's, um, a term that humans use. For a certain kind of man."
"What sort of man is that, princess?"
Her voice raised higher in a strangle. "Ah, in human tales, they're usually quite attractive but mysterious figures, with...complicated pasts. I'm sure it was not meant as an insult to your age or your ethics as a valued ally."
Lotor's ear flicked. The sharp of his purple cheeks still carried a blush. "Hn. It is still most unusual that they would mime such a candid proposal between us."
Princess Allura bit her full lip, nervously clasping her hands behind her back. "Oh, yes. Of course." Her heart pounded. "Such a direct proposal is very unusual for our cultures, but then...I'm quite sure they know neither Altean nor Galran ways in such things."
At that, Lotor's wide mouth split, revealing the glint of a fang. "That is not what I meant."
She dared to look up at him.
Her eyes searched his.
Lotor quieted then, a quirk of amusement yet in him. "I meant that such charades suggest, in general, your paladins believe us to be already romantically involved."
She swallowed hard. "...So they do."
The space between their faces tensed.
He licked his bottom lip before saying, voice halted, "I know not what I've done to inspire such rumors. Should I tell them later that you are far too above me, princess, for such things?"
Allura's fingers tightened together. Her palms had grown sweaty. Her heart skipped. "I don't, um..." Her cheeks heated further. She looked away. "I wouldn't say I'm above you. That's quite untrue. But I can correct their assumptions about us, if you would prefer."
Lotor's blue eyes crinkled at the corners in amusement and sadness. He turned away then. "Perhaps it is best," he agreed slowly. "Or else their rumors will spread to the larger Coalition in time. And I would hate for you to be placed in an...awkward situation, where you are forced to accept my hand by virtue of nosy allies."
The princess paused. Her voice softened. "You did once speak of a royal alliance, you know."
His spine straightened as he turned back to look at her. A sudden, raw ache flickered over his face briefly before his lips twitched. "Which we have achieved now, haven't we? In standing together before the Coalition, united in the name of peace?"
"Yes," she strangled out lightly. "I suppose we have achieved that."
The two royals stood in silence.
The question, What if we could achieve more together, just for us? lingered on Lotor's tongue and in Allura's thoughts.
Neither of them said more. But Lotor offered her his arm, to escort her to the bridge.
She gently placed her hand upon his vambrace.
And he heard the rapid beat of her heart, which matched his own.

realizing i never posted about tubbos june 11 stream!!! so thoughts:
it was a) tubbo lore and b) semi lore aka my two favourite once-plentiful-now-scarce dsmp content types. and it was great.
started off with good lore of tubbo building, then spying on fundy, then a hilarious bit with managers of toll bridges and signs and ranboo's memory loss and was so reminiscent of the old, chaotic semi lore streams. i adored it. i hope he (and the other creators) do more semi lore like that because it was just so wonderful
