Theo or Celia have a favorite food? Least favorite food? Also unrelated are they both the pranking types?
Of course! Celia has a terminal addiction to empanadas. And true to the OG, Teo is a sucker for anything sweet. Sweet meats, sweet dough, straightup just a spoonful of sugar. His comfort food? Pure sugarcane. Peel it and chomp down, and he's a happy little gremlin -w-
And yes, they are both the pranking types. When they're both in the same town, every night is a party B3

A COMPREHENSIVE & AUTHENTIC UHURA LOVE/HISTORY POST
The above is where Roddenberry 1st employed Nichelle Nichols [click to watch the full clip]. It was a military show based on Roddenberry's own experiences, the episode is called To Set it Right (I highly suggest reading the wiki article about it).
You should note two other actors, whom he later pegged for Star Trek are in the episode.
They dated briefly and then became good friends way before Trek came about.
Miss Nichols was already an accomplished singer and dancer who performed regularly w/ Billy Eckstine and Duke Ellington
Roddenberry's 1st show, The Lieutenant, was canceled/pulled from the air before these scenes bluntly dealing with racism could air (there's blackface as punishment for the racists at the end of the show, in a case of 'he 'a little confused but got the spirit' for the times, so tw)
He created Star Trek to try to soften the blow of all the social messaging he wanted to insert from his military experience. Star Trek was basically, a submarine drama placed in a sci-fi setting. He made it diverse on purpose because the military helped him travel and serve with all kinds of people. Roddenberry was inspired by that.
Uhura was the first person to read for Spock and in fact, helped to shape the character with her reading and based many of the traits of Uhura (formerly Uhuru) on Spock.
She was basically a glorified secretary. She played the part with poise, joy, and the 60's style womanism she got to play out for those times... Everything from her mini-skirt (which Nichelle herself called very comfortable) to her smile, and teasing lines, and quips were about her playing "big" in a small role. She made every moment, every look, every line, and movement count:
Tumblr media
Roddenberry cracked jokes about the fact that the network never figured out that Uhura was fourth in command.
Nichelle was the only main cast member who was not salaried. She was paid by the hour. This attempt at marginalization actually resulted in her being the highest paid at times, because of the long hours.
Nichelle was not let in the front entrance at times, her fan-mail was kept from her, and she grew frustrated with the constant cutting of her scenes, lines and storylines. This is why she justifiably attempted to leave. The bigots in production did not like her being there (and if we're being real, were it not for Janice Rand's actress Grace Lee Whitney having gone through so much and thus losing her job in the 1st season...Uhura might have had even LESS presence)
The lost context in MLK convincing her to stay was that YES she was minimized and could make more money and be more fulfilled on broadway, but her symbolism and presence meant so much at a time when Black women weren't on TV unless as a racist caricature cleaning a house, and even that was rare...that she stayed.
One of her best allies was DeForest Kelly, who threatened to quit if they fired Nichelle. George Takei was her absolute best friend on the show and in life (she served as his Best Woman at his wedding).
There was an unfilmed episode in which Uhura and Deforest would have played reverse roles in "racial dynamics" on a planet they visit
Spock and Uhura were originally supposed to kiss in the alien mind control episode, but Shatner demanded to do so for the publiicity.
Her work to recruit marginalized people as astronauts, as in personally going to colleges and talking to candidates after the show is a staggering achievement that arguably is the most potent of any castmember in any of the Trek series post-show. Sally Ride, Guy Bluford (she personally recruited the 1st woman and 1st black astronaut), Mae Jemison (the 1st black woman credits her for inspiring her to become an astronaut).
Tumblr media
Uhura did finally command the ship in the animated series. She would not have gotten to voice the role, but for Leonard Nimoy making it an obligation that all the original actors voice their parts for him to come on.
Scotty and Uhura in the film was definitely a pair the spares situation, in which both were the leftover senior citizens with the writers just going "why not?"
it was beyond insulting and she did protest about the scene where she's bumbling through a giant translation book to speak to klingons for laughs in trek 5 ...but her best moment IMO is her pulling a gun on the young ensign in the transporter room in Trek 3...sadly her ONLY scene in the damn movie.
Miss Saldana got to play to MANY corrections in JJ Abrams rebooted Trek, from being amazing at languages to having an actual life & love, to confidently turning down Kirk at every turn.
FUN FACT!! Both JJ and Bob Orci both expressed disappointed shock that the love story between Spock & Uhura got more hatred from fans than BLOWING UP PLANET VULCAN.
another FUN FACT!! The love story between Spock & Uhura is what grabbed the old school Star Wars fan (JJ Abrams) enough to come aboard to direct. Yep. JJ ships Spock & Uhura.
Tumblr media
Zoe's iteration became the 1st version of Uhura to speak confidently in Klingon
Celia Rose Gooding becoming Uhura brings around a lot of Uhura's qualities full circle, IMO. As she is also from theatre (like Nichelle) and has a beautiful singing voice as well as the charm. Zoe's iteration was sharper, and much more protective, professional, & mature, about her life and love.
Celia Rose has the youthful curiousity and stars in her eyes and had vulnerability from her first intro... I loved the eagerness the crew showed to being in her orbit, seeing the glow of her talent and being drawn to that, to have a part in nurturing that.
As I've said... Celia IMO has the most dazzling smile, giant warm brown eyes, fantastic curves, and an energy that feels essentially Uhura, & that is all light, joy, a bit of uncertainty, -from the light singing (!) and the growth to her joy in discovery... I'd love to see her writing move away from serving and be more about her wants needs and growing in friendships/loves.
But Celia is a gift and is perfectly cast.
Essentially Uhura = femininity, graceful carriage, gorgeous smile, excellence in engineering and translation (canon!), ability to sing and play the Vulcan lyre, sharp womanist wit, love for her U.S. of African-Kenyan culture and being beloved by all crew...
When Miss Celia hummed those gorgeous notes to the alien entity on that comet?? That Solidified that she IS Uhura IMO.
Tumblr media
I 100% think they fucked up by killing Hemmer, because that mentor-mentee relationship was giving marginalized coming together and bonding over everybody else's bullshit and I was here for it...it was giving me Data and Geordi updated...and since then, IMO they've lost track and given us the same kinda backwards wingwoman role BS, that people who like to pretend to be her fan shoehorn her into.
...but I have high hopes that they'll course-correct.
All this to say ALL OF THE ABOVE is Uhura and anyone calling her ugly, bossy, pushy, annoying, whatever is just sad little hater who doesn't know wtf they are talking about.

I was looking at the cast list for TMA (as one does) and it reminded me of a character I forgot about: Lynne Hammond. She was one of Georgie and Melanie’s cult members, but she forgot her name. So, she started going by Celia. She is also voice by Lowri Ann Davies, the voice of Celia Ripley in TMAPG.
If she were just TMAGP’s version of Lynne Hammond, then I doubt she would still call herself Celia (plus all the other clues pointing to her being from TMA verse). Gerry and Gertrude still use their same names (just nicknames), so it would be weird for another character’s name to change. She is (probably) the same Celia.
I haven’t seen anyone point this out, but I might just be late to the party lol. I just wanted to put this out there for anyone else who hadn’t noticed. (I wouldn’t have realized without looking at the cast lists lol).

"these characters in a found family would not neatly assign each other roles reminiscent of a nuclear family bc found family is about unnameable bonds that rarely fit into a nuclear family structure"
RIGHT! but also nothing is more funny/tragic than characters assigning each other the roles of a nuclear family as a way of showing how they expect each other to act, and then it all falling apart bc you cant neatly put each other into roles & boxes and when you do it just ends badly<3
anyway i love Celia, 'Father' of her genderqueer 'Son' Rametto, who is nine years younger than her and puts her on a pedestal as his his father figure; and speak of the devil and you shall summon him bc these two less than a decade apart genderfukers can fit so many father-son issues.
kid. kiddo. "isn't that what fathers do, damage their children"- i am shaking you by the shoulders- choosing someone to be your 'Father' does not get rid of that. getting hurt by your parents comes free with having someone hold the role of raising you, and choosing who it is will not stop that hurt.
- now get Celia down from that pedestal before you tell her 'your not my dad' and then watch her crumble under the weight you put on her shoulders; and watch your worldview shatter as you realize she is just a hurt kid like you; and she isn't your father but at the same time, she is in every way that matters, because you placed her there; and you cant take back the damage that did to both of you.

-> Into You - Jude Bellingham
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
jude bellingham x reader
genre: fluff, yearning | warnings: drinking, implied sexual interest | note: loosely edited
summary: jude is all alone at a wedding reception until you rearrange the seating chart and he finds himself so into you.
Jude’s eyes scanned the elaborate seating chart for an embarrassingly long time. The other guests came and went with laughter bubbling out of their alcohol-coated lips, not even noticing the boy mumbling to himself. His name had to be on there - the wedding was so elaborate and meticulously planned that he knew he couldn’t have been forgotten, right? But as Jude continued to stare at the calligraphy, his neck prickled with heat. If he was being reasonable, his name was obviously on the list. If he was thinking about the way he was invited, they forgot to add him to the list, the same way they failed to send a save-the-date to him. He only learned of his friend's wedding about two months ago - which, in his world, was like a couple of days. Jude continued to scan each “J” name he found.
Jason, no.
Jackson, no.
Justin, almost.
Jude, finally.
Jude felt briefly at ease as he turned and looked at the array of tables - where the hell could table twelve be? He turned back to the board as if it would magically give him more answers. He hyped himself up to be casually conversational - fake it til you make it, he repeated in his mind. The thought of sitting with strangers made him self-conscious. Jude walked around the surprisingly empty table until he found his name neatly etched into a golden brown envelope. He inhaled a deep breath as he drummed his fingers on the table. “Champagne?” You stood above him with two flutes of champagne nearly foaming over the top. He didn’t get a chance to answer before you placed the glass in front of him before you surveyed the table, eyeing each person's assigned seat - you stopped momentarily and grabbed one envelope, then another. You switched them and smiled to yourself. You did the same again, but this time with your envelope, and sat triumphantly beside Jude. With your body turned next to Jude and your knees brushed against him, he couldn’t help but notice the slit of your dress - it trailed dangerously high up your thigh.
“If I’m not tipsy within the next hour,” Your voice made him focus on your face, and the depth and color of your eyes floored him. Jude couldn’t remember when he had seen a woman so effortlessly pretty. “Please remind me that it’s an open bar.” You smiled up at him. Even sitting down, Jude was much taller than you. Jude nodded and introduced himself, and you did the same, both of you immediately leaning into each other to talk about the people coming to sit at the table. You listed the names of people you knew who would be attending the wedding: Margaret, who would attempt to set up her daughter with Jude but would ultimately fail; Robbie and his wife Jodie, who tended to drink more than they should and would rant about their son finding a nice girl like you to settle down with. Lastly, Miss Celia, who you mentioned, would judge the wedding because in her mind nothing could compare to her daughter's wedding. You giggled while talking about how Miss Celia would sit down and immediately complain.
As Miss Celia placed her bag on the table, she lived up to your expectations and made a sly comment, "Isn't it a cute wedding? The venue looks cheap... I wonder whose decision this was," while sucking her teeth. Your hand immediately covered your mouth to stifle a laugh, and Jude's head dropped as he tried desperately not to laugh with you. Jude’s hand settled on your knee as he whispered, “What’s your story?” “You first.” You countered with a smooth sip of the last glass of champagne. “How much time do you have?” He said easily. “We’ve got all night.” You replied.
You were talking to Jude, and you felt like you could go on forever. He was so focused on you that you felt certain that this was not going to be the last time you saw him. The dance floor was crowded, but the table was almost empty except for Miss Celia, who sat with a tight expression and her purse on her lap. Jude only interrupted your monologue to ask questions that would send you on another tangent, and before you knew it, time had passed you by. You excused yourself to the restroom and tiptoed through the crowd on the dance floor.
“Hey, why don't you ask her to dance already?" said Miss Celia with a sour expression. Jude shook his head, trying to be respectful. She didn’t have the warmest demeanor and he didn’t want to end up on the wrong end of her attitude. "What's the hold-up? It's obvious that you like her," she continued, noticing how cozy the two of you looked sitting together, knee to knee. His arm was draped around your chair the entire time you were talking, and you placed yourself close because the music was too loud. As much as he wanted to deny his attraction, his body language spoke volumes to Miss Celia.
"I would, but I don't know how," he laughed, trying to lighten the mood. Miss Celia was not amused by his pitiful admission and rolled her eyes. "Who cares? If you don't ask her to dance, some other man will, which would break your little heart," she scolded. Jude knew she was right. “My husband didn’t know how to dance either. Now look at me.” She waved her ring finger at him with a straight face.
Before he could talk himself out of asking you to dance, you were back and pulling him out of his seat.
“I love this song!” You yelled. Into You by Ariana Grande blasted through the speakers, and Jude grimaced at the corny pop music, but you were practically dragging him to dance and he wasn't going to protest. You found a spot in the middle of the crowded floor and immediately started to sing as you grinned at him.
“The temperature's rising in here. Is this gonna happen? Been waiting and waiting for you to make a move,” you sang.
Jude couldn't help feeling nervous at how intimidating something as innocent as dancing could be. Your mouth was wide open as you sang the song aloud with the rest of the people on the dance floor. You seemed to be lost in your own world, with your eyes closed, head tilted back, swaying to the lyrics. For a moment, Jude looked around and prayed that no one saw him as he started dancing along to the song. “A little less conversation and a little more touch my body,” you continued as you turned around and placed your backside on his hips. The friction of your body whining up against him was making him weak. Jude caught the tempo of your body and found himself clinging to your touch. You tilted your head backward and onto his chest and continued to grind carelessly into him. Jude was a mess over you. You pulled his hand around your waist and allowed him the opportunity to take a bit of control. The palm of his hand was large and hot against the slit of your dress. He was in a daze for a while due to the combination of his body heat, expensive champagne, music, and the truth of the lyrics. Ariana’s melodic voice singing out,
“Tell me what you came here for 'Cause I can't, I can't wait no more I'm on the edge with no control And I need, I need you to know.”
Without missing a beat he grabbed your hand and spun you around and you laughed at the sudden action. You mouthed the lyrics without breaking eye contact and abruptly the room felt too hot but he didn't feel close enough. Jude’s arm found your lower waist as he flushed his body against yours with an electric grip, your eyes trailing down to his lips. His forehead fell onto yours lightly as the two of you continued to grind on one another, his arm holding you in your place. For a moment you could hardly breathe but when his lips touched yours a rush of white hot desire flooded your body. It was a soft kiss and you drunkenly pulled him closer by the nape of his neck, not wanting to escape the taste of him. Jude hummed into the kiss, deepening his tongue into your mouth. You knew that if it wasn't for him holding you by the waist you would have stumbled backward by the sheer neediness in the kiss. You were nearly making out on the dance floor when you decided to pull away, wiping at the corners of your mouth, certain that your lipstick was smudged. As much as you wanted to have him all over you, the middle of the dance floor during a wedding was not the best place to do so.
“You okay?” He asked and you nodded.
“Would you want to get out of here?” Asking him that was the most nervous you had been all night. He didn't hesitate and immediately offered to order an Uber while you went to grab your things. You felt the scrutiny of Miss Celia’s gaze and you felt embarrassed as Jude placed his jacket over your shoulders. Miss Celia eyed the two of you and you thought a sly comment was on her tongue but instead of making a comment, she sent a wink towards Jude who held a knowing smile on his face. You weren’t sure what happened between the pair while you were away but clearly they were now in cahoots.
“Don’t have too much fun.” She replied in her usual cool tone but this time, there was a smile on her face.

Emphasis on Family in TMA vs. TMAGP
Just a thought... so what do we know about the character's family in TMA?
Jon: Orphaned, strained relationship with grandmother (deceased). We don't hear about this until MAG 81.
Martin: Awful relationship with mom (dies during hiatus), dad is out of the picture. Don't hear about this until MAG 118.
Tim: Nothing about his parents, we hear about Danny (deceased) in MAG 104.
Sasha: Nothing.
I don't believe we hear much about Basira, Daisy, or Georgie's families either. Sure, they at least have parents, but they're not integral to their characters.
Edit: Here is where I made my mistake of just. Completely forgetting about Melanie and her dad. That's on me!! Her history with her parents is still in line with the other characters (deceased and being brought up to provide backstory/context).
We hear little to nothing about TMA character's families, and if we do they're usually deceased or introduced as backstory.
What do we know about the TMAGP character's families?
Sam: We know a little about his relationship with his parents, especially concerning him being a gifted kid.
Gwen: One of the Bouchards, with more emphasis put on that name by characters such as Alice and Lady Mowbray (commenting on her lineage).
Alice: Strong relationship with her brother (very much alive), who has been featured multiple times and who we have met in universe.
Celia: Has a son, Jack, who has also been mentioned multiple times.
Of course, we don't know much about Colin or Lena, but they've haven't had as much screen time. Just 15 episodes in and we know more about the TMAGP character's families than about the TMA characters families in two seasons. Most of the TMAGP families are alive and well, rounding out the characters instead of being introduced for backstory.
I can't help but to think this is intentional to parallel TMA, or at least will be important later. It might have to do with the "what makes a person a person" that Jonny has stated will be the theme of TMAGP.

Lmaooo I am filling up your requests but another one for our boy could be Cecile getting a boyfriend but she’s scared to tell her dads and doesn’t know how they would react so she talks to uncle Carlos or pierrre or seb for advice
Young Love
Our Boy Masterlist
Rating: PG
Words: 1.2K
Warnings: Overprotective dads
Cécile is 17, Elijah is 21, Diego and Rafael are 19 (Carlos’s twin boys)
Face claim for Cécile is Laura Celia
Synopsis: It’s a family vacation and your Pa and Dad have your uncles and friends all here, but Cécile is missing the one person she wants there, but how does she introduce her boyfriend to her parents?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Will you stop pouting? Come and swim with us. The water is great." Pulling up her sunglasses, she stares at Diego, one of Uncle Carlos's twins. "Go away, Diego. I want to read." Diego scuffs at Cecile. The girl has been in a mood since they left, and no one could figure it out.
"Enjoy your," He pauses, reading the article in her hand. "Advanced Modeling and Stimulation in Engineering Sciences." Making a face, he shakes his head. "Nerd." Cecile takes the magazine and smacks him hard, causing him to yelp.
"Diego!" The deep voice of Uncle Carlos has Cecile turning, smiling innocently at him. "She started it!" He whines, but Carlos's wife turns, glaring at her son, which has him bolting off. "Ma petite fille?" Sighing, Cecile looks up at her Papa. Still, the man has never heard of sunscreen, chest already bright red.
"Is something bothering you?" Charles sits down on the recliner next to hers. "No, I'm just not in the mood." Sliding her sunglasses back on, Charles sighs. Ever since Cecile turned 14, she drifted away from Charles and Lando. You explained it was normal and let her work it out, but Charles hated that his little girl couldn't talk to him.
Hand reaching out, he touches her dirty blonde hair. Pulling away, she glares at her father; dropping his hand, he apologizes. "If," "I'm fine, Papa, please just leave me alone." Charles walks back up the sand seeing the look of understanding from Lando and disappointment from you. "I'll talk to her." Lando grabs your arm, stopping you. "Don't. We shouldn't push her. When she wants to talk to us, she will." You hated this. You went through this once with Elijah.
Cecile seemed to be having an internal argument, which she refused to share with either of you. "What," You clear your throat finding the words, "What if this is like Elijah all over again?" Lando's grip slips, and he looks away, watching his boy play football with Carlos's twins. "It's not." Carlos pipes up, biting into some watermelon.
"And how do you know this?" Carlos shrugs, not wanting to voice more thoughts. Carlos knew that look in his niece's eyes. That was a look of heartache. That or she really didn't want to be here. He's hoping for the latter. "What happened with Elijah was your own doing, Y/n. Besides, Cecile isn't one to hold in her opinions." Wiping his hands, he stands. "She'll come to one us; we have to wait."
Walking down the sand, Carlos takes his place next to Cecile. He says nothing as he lays out in the sun. Neither of them says anything, but Carlos can tell she has something to voice. Her eyes keep drifting to her Uncle, opening her mouth slightly to express it, but she closes it and returns to her journal.
"Uncle," Carlos turns his head, pulls down his sunglasses, and takes Cecile. She was the perfect mix of her father and mother. From the eyes to the way her mouth forms when she smiles. "I have a friend, a guy friend, and I wanted to invite him, but I was worried what Papa and Daddy would say." Biting her lip, she casts her eyes toward her parents, laughing as they set up lunch.
"Well, their first question would be if we know this guy 'friend'." Carlos hates this conversation. He knew what she meant, and to see the little girl who used to follow him around now fully grown. "Yes," She draws it out, Carlos quirking up an eyebrow without saying it; he wants more. "It's Beau," Carlos smirks, unable to hide this reaction. Groaning, she buries her face into her hands.
"Beau? As in, the boy you've had a crush on? The same boy who is your father's best friend, son?" Cecile whines into her hands and looks up fast. "I wanted to invite him, but I couldn't because everyone would see that we're dating, and I really like him." She blubbers, discarding her article. "Cecile, you could've easily invited him. Charles would've never thought much of it. Are you happy?" Blushing, she nods her head.
Carlos can't help but feel joy. The girl with the iron glare and walls made of steel was blushing. "Just tell them you don't have to tell them who, but talk to them." Carlos stands, kisses her head, and walks back up. Taking a few deep breaths, Cecile gathers her courage and storms to the table.
"Daddy, Papa. I have a boyfriend." Silence falls at the table. Elijah snorts while Diego and Rafael stare open-mouthed. "Close your mouths." Their mother smacks both their heads, quickly looking away. "No, you don't." It's quick from Lando shaking his head as he stands. "Nope, no. You're 17. You can't date." Cecile watches as her Dad keeps mumbling.
"Who is it?" Turning, she looked at her Papa, eyes calm, but he was a silent storm. One you only knew was there when it was too late. "It's Beau." Elijah spits out his drink, the twins yelling as they dodge the spray. "My best friend Beau?!" The twins make a sound of protest, but Elijah waves them off. "Pierre's son? He's 19. Too old." Looking at her Dad, Cecile just smirks.
"Daddy, isn't Mama older than you? Papa is, too; doesn't that mean you shouldn't be married to them?" Her voice was sickly sweet; you couldn't help but be proud of your little girl. She certainly knew how to shut a man up. "That is," "Lando, sit down. She won that one." Patting your husband on the back, he sinks into the chair. "When did this start?" Charles keeps calm, returning over every time Beau is at the house alone with Cecile. That wouldn't happen again anytime soon.
"3 months ago." Charles's eyes narrow. He remembers precisely why Beau was over. It was their anniversary, taking Lando and you to Croatia to get away from your 3 children. Beau, the twins, and the other kids gathered at your house. He's going to rip Pierre and Beau to shreds. "So, you two got together while we were out of the country? I suggest you choose your next words carefully." Charles warns voice clipped with anger.
"Papa, don't you dare suggest that. Beau isn't like that, and if you think for a second, I'd," She growls out in frustration pulling her hair. "Beau and I haven't had sex yet, okay!" Everyone at the table makes a sound. The boys groan in disgust while your Uncle and parents cringe at Cecil's words. "Cecile, I'm not saying you should tell me that," Charles sighs, trying to figure his way around this.
"You're my baby girl, and I want to always see you as my baby. But I can't. You're almost an adult; I don't like that you're growing up, but if Beau is good to you. Then I won't be ripping his dick off yet." Charles warns, kissing her forehead. "Daddy?" Lando huffs, looking at his daughter. "Your Papa is right, but I'm kicking Pierre's ass for not keeping his son on a leash." Giggling, Cecile tackles them in a hug kissing their cheeks. She runs off, going to call Beau.
"I miss her heartless bitch era," Elijah whispers. The guys chuckle. "Hey Lando, she looks like you after Y/n kissed you for the first time." Grabbing a plastic cup, Lando whirls it right past Carlos's head. "Fuck off." "Fuck off!" All the adults turn, completely forgetting about Callum at the end of the table. "Great, our 4-year-old has learned a new word. Nice job." Charles claps his husband on the back, going to deal with the little one repeating fuck off to everyone.

Does Celia and Teo have any specific bonding activities? Like certain games or cards?
How do you think Teodoro got to tinkering? His mama ^^
He builds little trains and toys while he's at her house, and she has him help make lunch! Just.. little things ♡ Some devious things they do would be bar bashing and dancing. He doesn't mind being sweet to his mama, he just has issues with being affectionate in public. But I guess the most personal bonding activity would be one they only do once a year: the photo album.

An over analysis of why Celia isn't interested in Sam, Alice is interested in Celia and Sam is probably going to end up alone like the looser boy he is (affectionate)
Firstly, the big one, I don't think that Celia is actually interested in Sam. Firstly previous to the date episode and Sam asking her out there was no hints she was interested in him, what she was interested in however was about the statements. So Celia has an interest in the statements, she wants to know about specific ones, she believes that the statements (or most of them) are real.
Now the date, the date was a bit painful to listen to because Sam is very obviously interested in her and Celia really just doesn't seem like she reciprocates it, especially when she brings up work (key thing is that SHE brings up the topic) and according to the recent episode (14) they spent the rest of the date talking about it.
So, Celia, a suspicious woman who wakes up on the side of roads, has a son called jack and a weird interest in the statements goes on a date with Sam, her co-worker, a man who's also interested in the statements, a man who was rejected from the Magnus institute, a man who's probably very important. Yeah.
Now Alice and Celia, Alice and Celia I wasn't too sure on until this recent episode but after this one? Yeah no Alice is in love jfc.
The flirting, the mfing flirting.
Okay so picture this, you have reconnected with an ex who is also an old friend and are becoming close again- then a new girl joins your job and she's cute but your friend seems to be interested in her so you tease him but it's all fine. Until you start to get to know her, and YOU start to fall for her, but you can see your friend and his sad puppydog eyes so you stand back- then when he asks her out on a date? When he comes and talks to you about how you should be more 'professional' at work with your history now he's dating your co-worker? When she comes and talks to you, asks if it's going to be a problem that they're dating because of your history with him?? Then you snap, because neither of them get it, you snap and 'sarcastically' say that actually no SHES the one you have a crush on. Then you realise what you said but it's fine it was sarcastic so you joke it off and walk out but she knows. She knows.
Yeah.
Finally why Sam is probably going to end up alone like the pathetic looser boy he is (again I mean that in the most affectionate way possible, he's my favourite man)
Sam is into Celia, we know that, Celia isn't into Sam so that's probably going to blow up. I don't think he's going to end up with Alice either because frankly there doesn't seem to be any interest in her on his side (currently)
Furthermore his growing obsession with the Magnus archives and the statements is probably going to sabotage all his relationships s2 Jon style yk?
Also I think he's going to die, I really really do think he's going to die or become an entity of some kind. No real proof except for his abismal sense of self preservation and a gut feeling.

This is my protocol bingo! (Thank you as always osric.com).
Lena is just doing her evil job - No thoughts, no morals, no alligence. Girlboss.
Nobody ever finds out Jmart's real names - I just think that would be tragic, and fit in with what RQ have been saying about this not being too attached to Archives.
Redemption arc - There was a notable lack of these in Archives even though forgiveness and making a conscious effort to behave morally were important themes in the later seasons. I'm ready for Mr Bonzo to have Kylo Ren's exact redemption arc where he's redeemed mostly through kissing. I don't even care who he kisses.
Froyo trip - It's pretty clear that we're being told that this is Somewhere Else through things like the Archives staff having tea and the OIAR staff having coffee. The s1 Archives gang iconically got icecream, so I'm gunning for a froyo trip, and a Gwen monologue about preservatives.
Colin dies first - He's just so killable. Plus, Celia can't die until they do her reveal and they'll probably want to build up to it, Sam can't die because he's the driving force behind investigation into Magnus, Alice can't die because she kinda makes the whole show, Gwen can't die because she's mid-arc and it is of the type that if left unfinished it would be anticlimactic not tragic, and Lena can't die because the impact would be pretty low.
Nostalgic PC games - I LOVE that RQ appears to be into old tech. I want to see Chester and Norris play Catz 5. Lowfi retro charm.
Dyhard - I go back and forth on this one, it feels too obvious what with the hot drinks imagery workplace annoyances to lovers stuff, but at the same time it does Just Make Sense.
Somebody becomes disabled - In Archives people were injured a lot, but none of that amounted to a long-term physical disability, except for Melanie's blindness. Feels like something to do in Protocol.
Police brutality - Feels like a theme that Jonny still has more to say about, and an incredibly easy one to weave into this kind of story.
Alice is hiding something - I actually think she isn't but y'all are saying it.
Alice naming stuff has consequences - She does it so much and Colin warned her off it, clearly seeming concerned but not explaining why, I think it will have unforeseen and damaging consequences.
Someone has a pet - In Archives, especially in the earlier seasons, everyone was notably unattached. Martin has a mum to take care of, but nobody has partners or children. I think this was partly because it made them easier to manipulate, and partly because it meant that tragedy could be dialled up: Sasha dying was sad, but not as gutwrenching as Daisy dying because Daisy's relationships were more fleshed out because it was later in the series. We're already bucking that trend with Celia's son, so I think we might see a pet too. Also, the pet will probably die.
Alice dies in the last season - Alice is very killable but she's also the heart and soul of the character relationships, so I think they will kill her but they'll wait to do it, and then do it mid-final season as an OOH THEY WENT THERE turning point, like how Tim dying brought in a new, darker era for Archives.
Conclusion that love isn't what makes you human - At London Comicon in October, Alex or Jonny (I forget) said that if Archives was about what makes you a monster, Protocol is about what makes you human. I think it's kinda trite if love is the answer, and I think the conclusion re love will be that monsters can love, because that's cooler. Hell yeah romantic monsterfucking.
Celia evil - I LOVE that we're seeing another Welsh person, but she doesn't sit well with me.
Agnes returns but we don't hear her speak - The tree on the other side of the rift is still alive, and if that universe was this one then that means that Agnes may still be alive. Jonny and Alex have said that they regret not doing more with Agnes, and I don't think they'll miss out on the opportunity to use her again. However, I think the fact that she doesn't speak is central to her tragic character and role as Jon's character foil, and I don't think they'll change that. I actually posted a tiktok about this.
Scene on London public transport - We're already seeing our gang at the pub and on dates, I think we're going to get some tube content.
Jmart fate worse than death - They're going to have us WISHING that they died in mag200.
Fears never treated as separate - I just think we're over that.
Breakup - They're getting the character relationships in early, so I'm predicting an onscreen breakup, because that's one of the few ways that we didn't see relationships between characters going bad in Archives.
Gerry's life gets ruined again - I'm sorry guys but I don't think they're going to let him have peace. He's going to get dragged into the OIAR situation and he's going to suffer.
Alice's brother lives - People are already noting similarities between Alice and Tim, I think that it'll be essentially the same character beat again if her brother dies. Adapt, improvise, overcome, RQ.
Another Michael - Just another character called Michael, unrelated to the four existing Michaels. I wasn't going to put this because Jonny is very aware of the four Michael problem, but this man plagurised his own full legal Christian name, so anything is possible.
Jack is Agnes' Jack - I think it's cool if we all think about how there was actually a massive age gap between Agnes and Jack because she didn't seem to age past her twenties, so he was absolutely a child when she was an adult. Not that I want to have Discourse or anything, that relationship was hecked up and complex in plenty of other ways, just because it's interesting.
Onscreen kiss - They said they wouldn't do it during Archives and then they did and it wasn't that gross, so I'm ready to see it happening again. They might have a relationship between allosexuals this time, I don't think they're going as far as onscreen fucking, but I'm game to be surprised. Insert joke about reusing the whimpering noises from Archives here.

One day Lockwood’s very hassled mother accidentally picked up a few of her son's drawings and sent them with some other papers to an engineer friend of hers because she needed his held to build something ghost related. That man was Mr Karim (who raises a family of engineers and George). George finds the drawings and decides to draw his own in response which he forces his father to take to his meeting with Mrs Lockwood. Celia thinks it is absolutely adorable and Lockwood thinks it is so funny (and cool) that his drawings got accidentally sent through the post that the next time his mother wants to send Mr Karim so documents he insists on putting a letter he has written in there for George. And he and George share nonsensical letters and drawings for a few years even after Lockwood’s parents no longer need Mr Karim's help on his project.
But they never actually meet and forget about their pen pal until George finds one of his drawings at Lockwood’s house.
