t!will loves to wear skirts and dresses and basically anything he can twirl in but feels insecure because he’s scared other people, especially mike, would see him as less of a man.

Mike learns about this insecurity and takes him shopping to buy any ridiculously short skirt or frilly dress the boy wants. Mike specifically requested Will buy this one very very VERY short skirt and tells him to wear it at home.

They both get back and Will changes into the skirt and Mike goes absolutely feral and fucking wild because Jesus, the boy looks so heavenly. He pins Will onto their bed and absolutely fucks the living hell out of him.

Starts with kisses and bites all over the boys thighs, putting his head under Will’s skirt. And then sucking. He ends up eating him out, earning cute muffled whimpers from the other boy. And then he looks into his eyes and starts to finger fuck him (this ends up with Will squirting all over mike’s hand)

"Sway (Quien Sera)" by Dean Martin has this sort of playful tension in it that always makes me think of the dorks (especially with where we're at in the story) and may or may not be mentioned in an upcoming chapter. Just!!! Them dancing!!! It's very important to me!!

"Baby I'm Yours " by Barbara Lewis is the song that inspired the scene that got me to start writing for ATWLP. You know, back in the olden days when it was supposed to be just 50k words. I've mostly changed how this fic ends/is structured, but ATWLP probably wouldn't exist without me listening to this song at 2 am some random night last October.

"One Way or Another" by Blondie is another one with that playful tension and is definitely on reader's shared playlist with Leo (much to Donnie's chagrin.)

"Wolf in Sheep's Clothing" by Set It Off just seems like one of Donnie's guilty pleasure songs (because like, come on, /theatre/ kid) and one that definitely gets screamed in the Turtle Tank with reader.

"Lay All Your Love On Me" from the Mama Mia musical is also another karaoke banger for these two. (Also I forget I'm the only one that knows how my fic is gonna go lmao but this song is an apt description for how they learn to relationship.)

Sorry if you got this asked before but I'm so in love with your artwork, how did you get so good at anatomy and posing? I struggle a lot with it.

omg HI TY TY !!!! uuuhm tbh it was mainly 4 things for me: using irl pics as ref, using my artgods' art as ref, obsessing over proportions until it becomes second nature to you fr, and 3d models or posing apps .... [some examples and entire ramblings under the cut i got carried away AGH]

using irl pics as reference - i literally go on pinterest n combine several photos 2 get the pose i want, [or when it comes to hands i take pics of my own lol] i usually browse through magazine photoshoots or pics of statues n find stuff with cool poses .... this also applies to other stuff rlly like for clothing folds i would pick out parts that would look and feel right and interpret it in my own wayyy

find an artist with a Banger sense of anatomy n use their stuff as reference - bonus points if ur artgods have a semi realistic style n ur already obsessed with their stuff like Seriously the other half of my ref photos are other ppl's art and i would copy the way they draw certain things - i also actively observe How they draw these certain things like "oh this is actually in a triangle shape" or "oh theres a bump here and its followed by a straightish line" and i am mindful of these, i make sure to remember them even just the tiniest change bc that's still an improvement yk a different way of thinking abt something - love these accs for anatomy [tomfoxdraws, taco1704, kato_anatomy], this artist is great at simplifying their ref but still keeping it dynamic and flowy [UTWP_], and this acc for more general tips but with timelapses so u can see how they go about drawing something [KawaiiSensei_jp] <- theres also some anatomy stuff there toooo also SORRY literally 4/5 of these accs are in japanese or korean i just look at stuff n think about it no need to read :sob:

study up on proportions n figure out ways 2 simplify stuff using basic shapes - thanking my 12 year old self for being so nitpicky abt proportions like, i used to "measure" the length of the limbs and from doing that i learned how a bunch of stuff works like halfway point of the torso is also where elbows are, hands end midthigh, thigh usually as long as torso etcetc and since i got so used to "measuring" these it's just muscle memory for me atp, its all about the observations ur honor - for simplifying stuff its like, breaking something down to its basic shapes like how the hand can be a square or a triangle with a bunch of circles or cylinders attached to it, how the torso can be a rectangle circle or triangle depending on the body type etcetc - once again its actively observing and keeping what u learned in mind and doing it over and over again until it Sticks and u can change stuff n improve on it as u learn more about it

3d models / posing apps - literally only just started using these. a month or two ago ??? but i find these Very useful for when i have Such a specific pose in mind or when im too lazy to find or take ref pics WOOPS i also use irl ref pics when posing my 3d model btw im not That lazy KJSDFSDF

overall, i love this series a lot - it's definitely my favorite so far. this episode was perfect to me in all ways, but wai. i haven't properly processed what's happened with him yet, but at the moment i can say that i definitely didn't like it. otherwise though? another banger. the boys being super cute and sticking to each other even in such a complicated situation (which gives me hope for the future as well) was incredible and of course, chang, mo, and korn, in particular, are at the center of attention today - and for a good reason, they are the bestest of boys!!

as for predictions for episode 10 - let's see...

so, i think our cliffhanger at the end of episode 9 is not as serious as it might initially seem. because i do NOT think that any of the things that will happen in the next episode (see below) would be possible if the parents even suspected that they are close. i think they will come up with some excuse - maybe pa will even help them, and i'm sure the situation will deescalate quickly. as i said before, pat's parents aren't as weird about the rivalry as pran's, so them simply being in the same room and talking to each other is not really a crime - as long as they aren't close, pat's parents are alright with it.

now, i think the main storyline of the episode will be connected to the boys figuring out their families' history:

they are doing research here, going places, asking a bunch of people for information - that will take a lot of time.

i think we are also finally putting an end to wai's crush on pa, getting a bit of jealous ink and definitely some inkpa development.

can i also mention the way pa is looking at ink here, btw? well, i've done it now! what are you gonna do? what's gonna happen? you're gonna shoot me? i doubt it! you'd have to catch me first - i'm like a whippet. ok, i'm done referencing a meme now, let's move on.

we also have them solving the issue with the faculties rivalry:

it is quite a big thing to tackle, but i also don't think it will extend to episodes 11-12, because those are definitely for the parents. so this will take up a big chunk of time as well, but i think they will definitely deal with it by the end of the episode.

which is why i think that despite the fact that they are in the infamous clothes that we see in multiple scenes (from credits and the trailer and suchlike), i do not think that all those scenes will be happening in this episode.

how exactly it will be a thing i can't tell for sure, but i just don't think it fits into the timeline of the episode, since too many things are happening already.

Shiratorizawa Car Boot Sale Headcanons

look these are the headcanons no asked for but have been stuck in my head for days so here we are.

The Beginning

it all started when the Shiratorizawa Volleyball club funds were low, like really low

you would think that seeing as it is a private school that it would have decent funds 

wrong! the money is mostly spent on paying the coaches, which is then used as drinking money

so the team got together to try and come up with ways to earn some extra money so they could go on nights out and have some fun

Goshiki suggested a lemonande stand (nobody came), Semi thought that busking would work. ( tendou just scared everyone on the street)

so they were in despair until a low voice in the background said 

“What about a Car boot Sale”

Shitorizawa Boot Sale 

if you haven’t guessed already Ushijima is the one who has suggested it 

farmer boy over here has been doing these sales ever since i he was a child with his mother 

he forces the team to get out of bed every sunday at 5am and meet him in the field in order to set up the boot 

like this man takes his car boot sales seriously, like you do not want to be late

one time shirabu slept in and let’s just say that ushiwaka ran all the way to his house and came into his room and ripped the curtains open and proceeded to drag shirabu out the house 

yeah don’t mess with him 

he also seems to know everyone there, like it is weird, he will be chatting to these like old men who are selling antiques about farmer tings 

like what is the best time of year to grow tomatoes or like how the vegetable patch is coming along 

the team have never seen him this socialble ever. 

he doesn’t buy much though when he is there, he just kind of guards the table making sure people are not stealing 

he may or may not bring his portable radio with him and have the country radio on in the background 

and forces the team to sing with him 

Tendou is loving the car boot sales, like this is the first time he has ever been to one so this kid is the early stages of awe and wonder 

he always the only one that is really chirpy when the team arrive in the field 

no one questions it tbh like that is just tendou 

susprisely he can is a very good seller, comes with ridculous stories that some of the customers believe so they buy the items 

he earned the highest amount of money for the team, ushijima has been checking

he buys mostly anime figurines because they are much cheaper

Now Semi i swear is the only voice of reason on the team 

like you can tell on his face, that he is straight up not having a good time when ushijima forces everyone to arrive at 5am 

tendou usually buys him some instant coffee which he is very grateful for otherwise he would be cranky for the whole day 

he is usually broading with his camping chair and a huge jumper over the top (airpods in) just kinda taking in the fresh air 

his job is usually in the setting up as i feel he has a good eye for aesthetics

so he coordinates where all the items go on the table and how to get everything to fit in the boot 

ushijima also forces him to bring his guitar and play country songs to “attract customers” 

i feel like he has a really nice singing voice, and tbh most of the girls only come to the boot because there is this really hot mysterious looking guy there 

he is also makes sure the younger years do not get in trouble 

Shirabu is a bit like semi in the fact he would rather be sleeping but he hides how annoyed he is not to piss off his senpai’s ushijima 

he is the treasurer because i feel like this boy is good at maths 

ushiwaka will come and ask shirabu how the sales of the day are doing, just like a CEO would to a subordinate (which is hilarious) 

like he takes his job seriously 

he also helps with the sales with tendou but he usually explains all the prices tbh 

he sometimes treats himself to a fresh bacon sandwich and i will sit and eat it with this cute little content look on his face 

he mostly buys textbooks tbh, like he is a hard working student and textbooks can be expensive so he loves the fact he can get these material a lot cheaper 

he also likes buying stationary 

Goshiki, poor goshiki. 

baby really isn’t a morning person at all 

but he tries so hard because he wants to impress ushijima, like he arrives extra early with his packed breakfast 

but he is pretty useless in the morning, he just yawns constantly, he will try and help with the set up but he forgets instructions easily 

however once the day actually begins he perks up a bit more he is actually quite good at talking to customers 

like he is actually the only normal one there lmao

the old ladies absoulutely love him, like they think he is so kind and handsome (and they dig the bowl cut) 

honestly the only reason he goes back every week is the fact that these ladies literally gas him up and bake him some jam tarts 

now goshiki get’s really excited when looking at all the stands 

i definetely see this man as a hoarder so he buys some much random crap (for example a huge garnet cystal to put in his room)

ngl he is the type of person Tendou usually cons. 

Their Stall 

ushijima usually sells some of his home grown vegatables, like these are his pride and joy

he will not barter at all, like in his eyes his products are the best like he will not settle for less

tbh i would be scared to barter with, like have you seen him

Tendou usually sells his old Shouen Jump which are popular with the little kids

he also sells h3ntai magazines too, which are popular with y’know some of the older men

Semi sells some his old CDs and records, like they are really vintage ( carla would buy them) 

He also might have some old band posters from his emo phase that he sells too 

Shirabu does the classic stuff from childhood, like old clothes that don’t fit him, old toys he doesn’t need, also might sell some his old textbooks from junior high school 

Goshiki sells his old volleyball trainers or something or some old volleyballs too 

i also feel like he went through harry potter phase so he has the really wackass merch (he is a huffepuff btw) 

Overall, their stall has a mixture of everything and is really popular at the car boot sales because it is such a comical site 

also they are like the only good looking people there, so all of sudden girls carla  are popping down on a sunday morning 

Honestly, If any of my mutuals are into drawing and are stuck on ideas, I would sell my soul to this drawn

Ravi in Vienna

aka guide how to be the worst organizer of concerts with a speck of how to be awkward to the maximum level

It was another Monday evening at work, but next to me was resting a bag. The bag was packed to Vienna. Yes, I am gonna see Ravi. The Ravi from VIXX. The Ravi who is VIXX bias and one of my husbands lol.

Time when we were leaving: midnight Time when we should have arrived: 4:30am Time when we arrived: 4am Time when toilets were opening: 5am Time when first food place at bus station was opening: 5am Time when McDonald’s was opening: 6am Time when we could check-in at apartment: 3pm Number of hours slept: 0 Number of people speaking German: 0/3

Bus arrived earlier. Of course, it arrived earlier when first place where we could stay at was opening at 5am. But right next to the bus station there was huge train station which was opened, so we did not have to freeze outside; we were gladly chilling there with homeless people – we felt like one of them tbh. The worst idea was to go to the bathroom. I checked my face in the mirror – bloodshot eyes that it looked like I had too much of pot, and on the chin two huge white pimples, and almost the rest of face covered in red pimples; just a perfect timing, right?

After spending two hours on train station, we moved to McDonald’s to have some breakfast (last time I had breakfast on McDonald’s I was in my early teenage years… memories). We were waiting there until 9am, and then my friend got message from the place we were staying at that the keys were under the mat. We thought that maybe it will be prepared sooner, and we can have some nap. So we decided to go to the venue (our place was 5 mins away), check if there’s some numbering system and then check the apartment.

At the venue there was one girl. She asked us if we went to the concert and then pulled out a notebook with numbers (BLESS THIS GIRL!!! SHE ORGANIZED IT WHOLE BY HERSELF AND IF IT WASN’T FOR HER THE CONCERT WOULD BE A TOTAL MESS!! AND I WAS SO HAPPY THAT I COULD WRITE HER AWKWARD THANK YOU MESSAGE ON TWITTER AFTER THE CONCERT THANKING HER AGAIN FOR EVERYTHING). We had to write there our names and get the number. So, we write them down and me and my friend got 10 AND 11!!! (my other friend got number 1 for VIP) “HELL YES! MY FIRST AND LAST TIME BEING IN THE FIRST ROW FOR A CONCERT!!!! I AM ACTUALLY GOING TO SEE RAVI FROM FIRST ROW OMFG!!!!! THIS IS REALLY HAPPENING!” I could not believe that we were this lucky. That I was this lucky to actually end up in first row for RAVI’S concert. It must be something which can get fucked up…

After that we went to check the apartment. Excited seeing ourselves sleeping in bed/couch was pushing us forward. Sadly, when we arrived there nothing was ready, so we left again and went for a bit of sightseeing in our sweaty business clothes, smelly, hair messed up and fighting strong wind (No we did not meet Ravi. But after his ig post, we found out we were lost pretty near the place he was at). The funniest part of our sightseeing was our phones – three phones and each was pointing different direction to the same place lol (we got stuck at one place for one hour until we figured out the right direction to the place).

After few hours Fresh from shower and finally looking like people and after a long effort of trying to cover the pimples (unsuccessfully), we went to the venue. We lined nicely, no problems, there were still new people arriving and getting numbers. Everything was okay. I was suspicious about it. 30 minutes before wristbanding, Young Bros posted update on fb event saying THAT THE VENUE WAS CHANGED I was so damn mad and was glad I was in foreign country and just few people could understand my swearing lol. Anyway, it got somehow settled. We moved to different venue, there were still some chaotic moments, but it was p okay. Problem was the venue itself: Apparently no backstage – that meant Ravi wouldn’t have any privacy to prepare for the performance The capacity of the venue was small Another funny thing happened after few mins, when they told us that Ravi hadn’t arrived yet (it was past 6pm and during that time they should have already let vvips in…). It meant Ravi would arrive and go past us to the venue (AND HE DID HEHEHEH). That also meant that he needs to do a soudcheck. So… we were freezing next hour and half outside. I had to pee, was hungry and frozen. After 7pm they started to let us in. I could finally unfreeze. I was also able to keep my water – they did not take it from me, but they took it away to those who had it in bag. After another time (full of other ?!?!?!??!?! moments – when the girls had no idea what to do with albums which were right in front of them and just… a lot of other things) they told us that photo with Ravi would be in 6 people and WE WOULD BE SITTING ON CHAIRS AND RAVI BEHIND US (what???) and then we would put coats into the cloak room. I was already so mad at the organization that I wasn’t even nervous meeting Ravi lol. So my fear of not being able to say anything to Ravi died out the moment I saw him lol (… do not expect any long sentence from me or anything deep lol… I was just awkward as always lol). Me: [sees him] Ravi: [looks at me, smiles and says] “Hi.” Me: [grins like an idiot, smacks his hand (OH GOD IT WAS SO DAMN SOFT… CAN I HOLD IT??) and way too enthusiastically says] “HIIIIIIIII!!!” [sits right in front of him] Me: [realizing I do not want holding my coat on the photo] Me: [decides to put it behind me] Me: [putting the coat down mumbling to myself and partly to him] “I am just gonna put this here for a sec.” Me: [realizing that the coat would be seen on photo so I stopped and thought about an alternative] Camera guy: [starts to count down the seconds for photo] Me: [panicks, then apologize to Ravi for doing this and throwing coat past him to the corner of the room] … So yeah…………………

Anyway… we thought that after the photos there will be a cloak room for coats (we were told to put them to the cloakroom). BUT THERE WAS NONE. My friend asked about the cloak room and they told us that it is up the stairs. BIIIIIIITCH! YOU SAID THAT WE CAN PEACEFULLY PUT OUR COATS AND BAGS TO THE CLOAKROOM!! My friend started faster than Bolt to get the coats to the cloakroom and I was trying to save her spot in the first row. Sadly, we ended up in second row. The venue was very small. There was no barrier between us and stage. The stage was only like half meter up the ground and barriers were created from round tables (but with width less than one meter). The whole stage was prolly 5x3 square meters big. Can you imagine it? Ravi… person who always performed on big stages and who have definitely never performed at such small venue with fans hair away from him. I felt bad for him… (even tho... again bless Starlights all around the world that even in such situation they weren’t grabbing him and let him have that little of space he had) But t must have been such weird feeling for him. On the other hand I guess it could have been good experience for him. Because he definitely won’t have chance to perform on such place again lol. Really it felt like I was attending some underground concert and not Ravi’s concert.

I guess I will slowly wrap up my story. It would take another 1334 words to describe the whole concert. Just want to write down few things: Guy telling us before the concert started to stay hydrated - after they took away water........... First few songs Ravi looked so mad Wanted his mic to be louder but they ignored him which made him mad even more Mad Ravi is quite attractive His thigh in ripped jeans was the first thing I noticed when he arrived and then kept looking at that smooth and fine thing for a minute... I wanted to touch His hairy knee was also very adorable His whole self just screams FINE MAN He was most adorable when he was dancing I wanted to smooch his cheeks... his face looked so soft Oh man he was so happy while dancing and I was happy for him Where Am I is the banger Cold bay is the cutest rapper who exists in the world, but also the rudest one And his rap is no joke (check his sound cloud) Ravi talking in English with great accent, cutely reading English phrases he had on the screen before him Seriously… people should stop recording whole concerts and focus on the artist and enjoying the concert… Ravi spilling water at us SHIRTLESS RAVI HAPPENED Then when he leaned on the table to us I literally felt his heating body (sorry but I had to write it there bc it was so WHOA) Ravi taking some cameras and recording himself on them Never looked at me during the whole concert (’:

After the concert, we went outside to get fresh air. We crossed the road to wait on the other side, then decided to wait for Ravi to go back to hotel. We were the only ones sitting on the other side of the road. And when he got into car and leaving ISTG he turned and waved at us when we were waving at him… and I was happy that last time possible, he finally registered my person (:

1. How many pets have you had in your life?

one. I’ve always wanted them but my mom and I have always lived in tiny apartments and had no way to care for a pet so it wasn’t until I was 17 that we adopted a kitten!! his name was merlin and he was the laziest, moodiest lil ball of fluff I’ve ever met. I.. had to give him away a year later because we moved to a place even smaller that wouldn’t allow pets so long story short I’m scarred for life and don’t think I can ever take any more pets without feeling guilty to my bone 

this is merlin btw I love him with all my heart and he now lives in a farm. as far as I know anyway.. :(

2. Do you believe in destiny? Why?

mmm interesting question. weird, metaphysical theories aside, I don’t believe anything is set in stone per se, but I do believe that some things are just... meant to be? in a way? for example, you can’t tell me ryan and shane weren’t meant to be friends and find each other in such an unlikely place as they did. one of my mottos, completely stripped from context because it’s from a rather pretentious tv show, is “the universe is rarely so lazy”. meaning that good things happen for a reason, and that you trailed that path for that to happen. yknow what I’m saying? I can’t really explain this without writing a 10 page essay because that’s just how my gemini ass thinks 

3. If you could chose one person on the great beyond, would you take the chance to talk to them? 

you mean someone who has passed away? oh yeah, I would talk to my grandmother. she was raising me and died when she was 4 and that changed not only my entirely life but our whole extended family dynamic... so many questions.

4. From all your hobbies, which one would you love to make a living of?

oh man, writing. I’ve been dreaming of being a writer ever since I was 9 or something. never panned out but that would certainly be the dream. if I could work with videos, subtitling, tv shows, cinema etc that would also be dope as hell!

5. What’s your favorite color palette to wear?

fkgjfsdgiusfdksd I have no fashion sense whatsoever, idk? I do like to wear dark clothes (because weight..) and reds (because pale).

6. What’s your opinion on queerbaiting?

I don’t have the time for it. for starters, it’s something that usually comes from people with very poor writing skills that can’t come up with plots interesting enough to keep viewers/readers hooked in. that already says something. no offense to anyone who is a fan of shows like these, but when it’s mostly written by white men I just don’t have any high hopes for it. you can ask flavs what my reaction was like when I realized the character I had headcanon’ed as wlw in hannibal was actually a wlw. I couldn’t believe it, because what???? since when does that happen, especially in a show run by a white man??? kjdfghsjgd 

I think this is part of a bigger conversation but my point is, don’t fall for it. I know it’s all part of the fight for representation, asking big names to produce big shows with lgbtq+ characters in it and so on, but for the love of god, watch something else too!!!! let GOT rot and die!!!!!!!!! look up different, smaller, cheaper shows, that’s where you find lgbtq+ content creators!!!!!! there’s so many wlw webseries out there, you wouldn’t believe it. you have a choice. don’t give any more of your time and love and word-of-mouth to shows/movies that clearly have no interest in being more diverse. they don’t deserve you. 

and that’s not to say any of it is on us. quite on the contrary, they’re using us. but aside from calling out their bullshit, we do have a chance to boost lgbtq+ content creators. don’t let them fool you into thinking they’re doing you any favors, or that they’re our last chance so we should be paying attention to what they’re doing/saying. fuck them!!!! you can’t queerbait me because I don’t trust you or give you the chance to do it. and you can shove your very straight, very white shows where the sun doesn’t shine, @ hollywood.  

7. Is there a language you would love to speak?

french and korean, mostly. I can understand a little bit of both, but I really wish I was fluent :( oh, will to live and learn, where art thou...

8. Do you have, like, a dream so wild you think it’s impossible?

kjgnsfdkjhjjs having enough money to support myself and my mother??? I don’t have any big, wild dreams, I think. just.......... living comfortably would be a+  

9. How many AUs of your own life do you have in your head?

oh man. I keep thinking about living somewhere in idk iceland or scotland just like... tending goats or something. that’s the most comfortable version of myself I can think of.

I also like to imagine if I could handle being a film director, because that sounds like fun. maybe a screenwriter? anything creative in films, really. 

there’s also the unattainable dream of having a wife and idk maybe adopting a kid? and we’d just. support each other. and love each other. and that’s just. I. [cries]

I like to think how things would be if I were actually hot and not socially awkward.. I’d be someone completely different, basically lol 

10. If you were to meet your younger self, do you think they would think you cool or not?

oh god, younger me would hate present me D: I had such high hopes for myself, I had lots of dreams lol never in a million years did I think I’d be where I am today...

“prototype” by viktoria modesta is just GORGEOUS. I can’t get over this video & song and it’s been years.

“jackpot” by block b looks creepy as shit but the context makes it such a clever yet fun video. take into account that these guys were screwed over by the kpop company that created the group, and that the lyrics talk about hitting jackpot in an industry that’s savage to say the least. to me this video is a visual representation of what a dangerous trap entertainment companies are in the kpop industry, and it also ties in with the groups’ story of being made into dolls by a company and then telling them to fuck off in the end lol

2. What’s a favourite memory of yours?

I have plenty of good memories, thank god. I think one of my favorites is just hanging out with my friends in 2008-9; one of their older brothers was driving us around town, we were listening to the white stripes at full volume, singing along, all sitting pressed up close together in his shitty car. man, my teenage years would’ve been fantastic if I had stayed there with them!! 

3. Do you play video games? If so, which one’s your favourite?

I DO!!! I mean, not as much as I’d like because a) no money to spare on games/consoles, and b) I suck at basically everything. but I’m obsessed with paladins these days, and I’m also a big fan of LOTRO. I like horror games--mostly the resident evil and silent hill type--and fps. I grew up playing some tomb raider, medal of honor, resident evil... oh, those were the days. 

4. How did you first get into [your fandom of choice]?

with bfu it was that kind of thing where I’d see a meme or two cross my dash and it was always this ridiculous screenshot, or those “that’s it, that’s the show” kinda things with dozens of thousands of notes... until one day I was incredibly anxious, and I needed to watch something or I’d never finish the assignments I had for college. so I just thought “oh hey I should check out that unsolved thing people like so much, it’s buzzfeed so it’s probably good bg noise to work with” lol and it did work, and I did finish my assignments, and that means that I first watched the show barely paying any attention to it because I was busy doing something else. but ryan’s and shane’s voices helped me relax and to this day they still help a lot with my anxiety, to the point that I need to keep coming back every minute or so during episodes because I get distracted just listening to their voices and not absorbing a word lol

5. How did you first get into fandom in general?

uhh.. well, I was a big “pottermaniac” (that’s how I called it) since I was 9, but that was before I realized fandom was a Thing on the internet too. I remember when I was maybe 10 or 11, I entered a chatroom (god, those were wild) just in time to see someone saying in all caps HARRY POTTER IS GREAT AND YOU’RE ALL DUMB FOR NOT SEEING IT or something fkdsjgfdugfsdk and it was this girl using the nickname fawkes. she was older than me, I think that 15 or something, and we exchanged addresses (!!! how am I alive!!!) and were pen pals for a while. but it took me so fucking long to actually find the fandom online that I think my first brush with it was with the arctic monkeys forum I found online in 2008, where I mistakenly said I liked “the muse” and people laughed at me so I never went back to it lol then in 2010 I found out about kpop and that’s when I really dived head-first into fandom life. took me long enough (tbf I was very against the notion of being a “fan” because I was an idiot).

6. What’s at the top of your bucket list?

great fucking question. no idea. I guess.. traveling overseas? if we’re talking wild, distant things. but closer to my reality, getting a job that pays me at least the minimum wage disjgdfgkfsdk #fuckinternships

7. What’s something not many people know about you?

I love dancing and miss it like hell.

8. What’s your favourite medium for storytelling - movie, book, television, musical, comic, internet video, video game, something else? Why that medium?

ohhhhhhh this is an interesting question. as much as I love writing, and think that’s one of the best things we humans have ever come up with, I do love.. musicals? not necessarily theater--although that’s great and I’d sell my soul to see chicago live--but I love the idea of telling stories through music. I really wish we could bring back the custom of telling stories orally, and through music, and that we could as society agree that collective singing is beautiful and should be reintroduced in our day-to-day lives. sure listening to (1) artist singing is great but hAVE YOU TRIED SINGING ALONG DURING A CONCERT WHERE EVERYONE ELSE IS SINGING TOO? best fucking feeling in the world. 

we had two bands in brazil, in different periods of time, that were so incredibly famous they’re still cornerstones in our music history. one was legião urbana, some folk-ey rock band that had a couple of songs telling these really long stories that I LOVE with all my heart. faroeste caboclo is our bohemian rhapsody, most people my age or older know the lyrics to it. and mamonas assassinas was this comical (?) rock band that sang dumb, fun songs that usually told stories too and that was the best. I miss that kinda thing. 

9. What’s your favourite food?

red meat, mainly churrasco. but I also can’t live without chocolate milk AND the whopper. capitalism has me by the stomach.

10. Do you have a joke to share?

fjgfsdgskfdgfsk I don’t.. it’s been so long since I last tried telling a joke, I don’t think I know any?

11. What song/artist helped you through your struggles?

pitty has been a big part of my life for some 14-odd years now. “be ok” by ingrid michaelson and “starlight” by muse were my anthems when depression hit hard during my teenage years. the white stripes has also been a constant, with gems like “blue orchid” and “a martyr for my love for you” turning into sort of theme songs for certain parts of my life. choi sam helped me through college. and even though they were a huge disappointment to the point that I stopped listening to them altogether, block b gave me a good 4 or 5 years of distraction from life.

From about 0:25 to 0:29, Steve Aoki’s eyes watch over the boys from the Mic Drop remix. Also, the TV says ARMY <3

Also at 0:29, there are posters lining the walls from BTS’s past comebacks. If you look closely, you can also see their logo on the controllers (this is much more easily visible later on in the video). The room MIGHT also be modeled to look like a room in their current dorm but I’m not sure.

At 0:30, the first screen of the game finally shows up, and it lasts for about 10 seconds. In that time, we can see:

The stage is modeled from their first music video, No More Dream

J-Hope (who’s character name is written as JHS in the game-- short for Jung Hoseok, his real name) is firing a Supreme gun that shoots fake money (lol).

The little mascot in the Info section is Van, a mascot from the BT21 series created by BTS and Line. Each mascot was made by/represents one member of BTS, except for Van, who represents ARMYs.

“Today, your dream begins! A new path has been opened, don’t hesitate!” I am pretty sure these are lyrics from one of their songs since, throughout the video, Van pretty much mostly speaks in lyrics. I haven’t been able to find this one though.

At 0:41, the stage changes to reflect their We Are Bullet Proof Pt. 2 music video.

Van’s quote “It’s like a desert here, there’s nothing but rocks” is a reference to the hidden song on the LYH album, Sea.

ALSO, a some of the monsters designs are based on lyrics and references from BTS’s music. I’m sure all of them are but I just can’t make the connection. Maybe the rock monster is also a reference to Sea?

Edit: Apparently most of the enemy designs are based off of album covers! This is according to Kiera’s twitter.

At 0:46, Suga joins the party as MYG (short for Min Yoongi, his real name).

J-Hope’s special attack at 0:48 is a reference to the short movie he stars in during the Wings era called MAMA (also the name of his solo song in the Wings album).

I’m not sure I even have to put this, but the great transition at 0:51 is a dead ringer for the iconic MIC MIC BUNGEE move that Suga and J-Hope do in the Mic Drop remix MV.

So now Suga is in the frontlines, attacking. His method of attack is the lighter he’s seen with throughout the entire HYYH series. It first made it’s appearance in the I NEED U music video (seen clearly at 0:29).

The stage has changed to reflect their music video N.O. The red and white color palettes of the monsters in this area are supposed to reflect the red and white album.

And at 1:05 (we’re only A MINUTE INTO THIS VIDEO WOW), they’re in the classroom setting from Boy In Luv. I have no idea what the monster is supposed to be. Is it balancing on a candle? Chalk? Does it represent the red string of fate???

Whoa hey, it’s 1:07 and we’re in the Just One Day music video! I’m fairly sure that paper airplane monster refers to the paper airplane J-Hope had in Spring Day? (At 3:20.) I don’t recall paper airplanes in their other MVs unless there was one in Just One Day that I missed?

Also, it looks like V has shown up! (As KTH, or Kim Taehyung.)

Suga’s special attack starts at about 1:09 and lasts until 1:14. In it, he throws a rock at the monster, an alarm goes off, and a piano falls on the monster’s head. This is a reference to the short film FIRST LOVE, released during the Wings era. In it, Suga throws a rock into a music store, where a piano sits, and an alarm goes off.

Back in the real world at 1:15, we can see more detailed posters from different eras. I just know the Dope era one on the right.

At 1:18, we’re in the underground subway setting for Danger. (If it wasn’t obvious, the stage appearances correspond to the order the actual music videos were released in.) V unleashes his attack, unfurling black wings and firing feathers. In the MV for Blood, Sweat, and Tears, as well as other subsequent material during this era, V was seen and associated with black wings. I think he’s fighting the Gucci snake? Because V loves Gucci in real life?

Also, Van is back! “It’s already your second year, time flows fast...” references their song Second Grade/So 4 More (which is an underrated BANGER btw).

Also, easter egg time: There’s graffiti reading “What Am I to You?” which is the title of one of their intro songs.

New player! Jin (aka KSJ, aka Kim Seokjin) appears at 1:24 and fights by blowing kisses :). Blowing kisses at ARMYs is pretty much his thing lol. Also, blowing kisses sends out hearts that hurt the enemy, and while that’s a common visualization for blowing kisses, I pray that its also a reference to Jin’s heart events.

They’re at the storefront present in the War of Hormone MV. The enemy he’s fighting is, I think, one of the black-clothed goons from Not Today and the Mic Drop remix MV. (It also appeared in Kiera’s last full-length fan animation of Cypher Pt. 3. That video is itself chock-full of references! Incidentally, I believe Van’s quote here is also referencing that song.)

Two seconds later at 1:26, Jimin (aka PJM, aka Park Jimin) makes his appearance. This time, they’re at the bonfire scene from I NEED U (also appears in their prologue MV I think). Their fighting a flower monster that I don’t know the significance of.

Jimin attacks with an umbrella. I think the umbrella is from the Love Yourself short films but I’m not entirely sure.

At 1:37, we get our first look at the achievement system in this game.

It’s all the awards they’ve won up until this point! Really awesome touch.

Two new players appear this time: Jungkook (JJK, Jeon Jungkook) and RM (KNJ, Kim Namjoon). I have no idea what Jungkook’s attack is: he pulls some string from his wrist and it transforms into a spear?  Jungkook’s attack may be referencing the move from DNA. Strands of DNA come oout of his arm and form a spear. (Thank you @bangpdofficial!)

The stage is a scene from their Dope MV. Van’s quote, “so this is Bangtan style,” references the same song.

I am almost certain that the lion enemy has a mane modeled after the lily flower that appears frequently in the Bangtan Cinematic Universe. It’s even got six petals.

At 1:46, Jimin unleashes his special attack. The attack involves him eating an apple and then teleport-kicking the enemies. I think this is a reference to his short film, LIE.

The stage is from the For You MV, a song/MV exclusively released in Japan. I am not sure what the enemies are supposed to be.

Jimin’s kick transitions into the next scene, where the stage is modeled after the tunnel scene from the RUN MV. I am pretty sure the enemy is a reference to Baepsae/Crow-tit, and this bird represents the wealthy older generation.

A wild BTS lightstick appears at 1:53! (Also, we got some new scenes of their room with some new posters.) 9:18 might refer to the date the Love Yourself album was released (thank you anon!)

A new stage shows up at 1:55. I don’t quite recognize it but it might be the Japanese version of I NEED U? We can also get a clearer look at the bird from Baepsae.

At 1:57 we come to yet another new stage modeled after the Japanese Run MV. It’s filled with graffiti of the names of a ton of their songs. 

V activates his special attack. A single lightbulb hangs from the ceiling and a table appears, which he kicks towards the baepsae. I believe it’s a reference to his interrogation scene in his short film, STIGMA.

Also, in a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moment, V’s attack animation ends with him giving a peace sign and his adorable puppy Yeontan popping out of his pocket.

Two minutes into the video and we get a new stage (modeled after the Fire MV) and we finally see RM’s attack. He pulls out a giant lollipop and smacks enemies with it. He’s frequently seen with a yellow lollipop in the Bangtan Cinematic Universe.

And now they’re in a stage modeled after the Save Me MV.

Again, the stage changes into one based on Young Forever. I don’t know what that enemy’s supposed to be, but he’s pretty cool looking. And an animation for downed party members has never been so cute. (But what is that in Jin’s arms?)

At 2:08, RM provides an assist move that revives V and Jin. It takes the appearance of his BT21 mascot, Koya.

We get another look at the achievements screen at 2:10. It’s coming along nicely!

And a level selection screen a couple of seconds later! Not only does it show the title of the MV, but the description includes the album the song came from. The level code is also the date of the comeback (thank you @bangpdofficial)

2:18 shows a stage based on the Blood, Sweat, and Tears MV, as well as my favorite enemy design in the whole video: a dear featuring the circle designs from the Wings album cover. 

For his special attack, RM unleashes a phone booth to crush the enemies, referencing his short film REFLECTION.

Also, seems like the boys have started taking notes. You can see a DNA strand drawn on the bottom one (blocked a little by the YouTube bar--sorry about that).

New stage at 2:30! It’s the train from Spring Day. Van’s line about forgetting shoes also references the lone pair of shoes featured many times in that video.

Jin summons his pet sugar gliders to restore the HP of the rest of the party (to the bewilderment of Van).

Jin uses his special attack in the Not Today stage at 2:45. He takes a photo with the polaroid camera seen many times in the Bangtan Cinematic Universe, and it turns the enemy to stone. It crumbles away under his touch. This might relate to the way Jin crumbled as though he were stone in the Blood Sweat and Tears MV.

At 2:50, we’re taken to a new stage. I think it’s based on the Japanese MV of Blood Sweat and Tears. Van’s quote is another reference to the song Sea.

Even more awards! Too many that I can’t even count ‘em.

And at 3:03, we see a DNA-based stage. Van’s quote is once again from Sea.

Jungkook’s special attack has all the other members in BTS appear behind him in succession before he delivers a punch to the enemy. It’s safe to say that this references the song (not the short film) BEGIN, which is something of an ode to the hyungs of Bangtan. <3 (song) (film)

3:20. Hey look it’s pretty much a direct replica of that one scene from DNA (at 3:49).

At 3:25 we get our first look at the game over screen. Among a bunch of other “you have failed” messages, there’s this one (”don’t be such a try-hard”) that further references Baepsae.

Looks like they keep getting knocked out in the Mic Drop stage. That weird rainbow ball from DNA is tough.

Van’s words of encouragement are nearly a direct quote from the best-known line in Sea. “Where there’s hope, there’s trials.”

Last but not least, BTS’s achevements have earned them a spot on the world’s scoreboard, their debut on Billboard’s Hot 100 as number 28. <3

This fan animation was absolutely stellar and the attention to detail was mind-blowing. Even the tiniest details like how each member’s idle animation would work had so much thought put into it. Again, mad props to @seiyoko, @salukiart and @yowgurt for their incredible work!

From block popper to show stopper, East London’s J HUS, flies the flag for the UK with COMMON SENSE! 

Arguably one of the best UK artist who oozes with talent and versatility. Recently being approved the ‘ a-okay’ sign for a London show, J HUS has come a long way.

Growing up on African hall parties, grime and being heavy influenced by US rap , J Hus also blames his unpredictable music style on the fact that he is a Gemini.

Changes in vibe and mood happen as often and as frequently as he switches his flow. His capability to move through genres, flows and melodies, and catchy hooks, separates his music from the rest.

From ‘Dem Boy Paigon’, ‘Lean and Bop’, ‘Friendly’ and ‘Did You See’ J Hus definitely knows how to make a banger. He creates music to which change atmosphere in house parties, university raves and nightclubs.

Takes risks with different genres, beats and styles J Hus manages to stay true to himself describing Common Sense as growth in maturity. With live instruments and music with a meaning, his aim to create a sound sound is solid.

Throughout the tracks you are greeted with the ‘JAE 5’ jingle. From the 15th day Mixtape to the Playing Sport Ep, Common Sense is the perfect example of the growth, trust and risks the dynamic duo take within studio walls.

The general flow of the album doesn’t tell a cohesive story however, throughout the tracks, there is definitely different messages to take away.

We see different sides of Hus. Closed Doors (track 4) shows us the X-Rated ladies man with while tracks like Clartin and Good Luck Chale show he can still look after himself.

Common Sense

The album kicks start with the title track. Live instruments orchestrated by @compozers  adds to the grand image as J Hus welcomes us into his lifestyle. His money, the girls, the cars and the clothes. A day in the life of Hustler baby!

Bouff Daddy

Emphasing that he is the man. He goes into detail about spending money (Bouff means money btw).  ‘Now I hate the attention, no lemme be honest, I love it, spend yesterday’s profit and think nothing of it’. The beat and flow is smooth and catchy with punch lines adding to the feeling-myself-anthem.

Clartin

A wild beat with a lot of different sounds going on, adding adrenaline to the song. The production playful Hus flow is a great start of the album

Leave Me

His Gemini persona is displayed. ‘Still put this n**ger in a body bag, still help his mum with her shopping bag’. The catchy flow and relaxed beat helps us focus on the lyrics, hearing what J Hus is actually trying to say.

Closed Door

X –rated thoughts and sexual innuendos make this song. We are taken behind closed doors for the J Hus. ‘Whatever, happens in here, stays in here, I know you want it as much as I do!’. In a recent interview he joked about himself becoming a sex symbol, think I see the potential with this jazzy soul vibe.

Mash up

The J Hus and Mo Stack collaborations feel very natural, something I’m definitely not going to get bored of. Choppy beat keeps you on your toes as the two bounce back from each other as the after each 8. Definitely mash up, with extra flavour and a dash of salt!

Did You See

The single of the album which was released prior and set the bar for the album. I like to call this friendly part 2. J Hus shows us that making a banging is part of his DNA. His playful lyrics and ability to switch his flow is what makes him, him.

Like Your Style

The song for the ladies, about the ladies, so I guess everyone can relate.

Plottin

The old skool garage vibe is Hus’s favourite from the album. “Don’t think I’m shy cause I’m quiet, I’m just plottin I’m plottin”. The song definitely shows how he can switch up his style and his risk taking musical ability.

Sweet Cheeks

Another one for the ladies! This one isn’t about the money or the street life, but how apart from all of that he can be a sweet boy , when he needs to be. “I told my n**ger put  your balaclava, won’t you much rather f**k with a girl from Upminster”. This Jae 5 production is playful and creates a sweet vibe! 

Fisherman

The first song with features and it is popping! J Hus on the hook with Mist and Mo stack on the verses. Most definitely for the ladies, this song plays on the idea that there is ‘plenty fish in the sea’. Nice one lads!

Good Time

Featuring afrobeats artist Burna Boy this collaboration shows how J Hus can fluidly move though genres and create something original. Still staying true to J Hus but giving you something new everytime. This is definitely a feel good song.

Spirit

This track is all about being positivity! A dancehall influenced beat with some of the patois lyrics. “They can tek weh my freedom how they gon’ tek way my spirit”. This is a roll-your- car-windows-down-feel-the-vibe-and-share-the-love kind of riddim and I here for all 3 mintues 34 seconds of it!

Goodies

Ever heard of the phrase ‘don’t shoot the messenger?’ Yeah definitely goes out the window as we welcome back-street-smart Hus. It starts with a skit of the typical conversation he has with people, with the additions of appropriate sound effects imbedded with his lyrics. The head bopping beat keeps us on edge throughout the track as the iconic duo reunite again to make this epic piece.

Good Luck Chale

“Heard they want me dead, heard they want my bread, good luck chale”. ‘Chale’ is Ga (ghanian dilect) for ‘friend’.

With Tiggs Da Author on the hook, the verses are left for Hus to speak his mind and thoughts aloud. And he is pretty much saying:  if want to see me fall Good Luck Mate’! It the Anti haters Anthem!

  Who You Are

This slow and smooth vibe again is a reflective piece. Opening up his thoughts to his audience about his upbringing.

Friendly

J Hus confesses this song was created for his little brother after his mum requested he made something a “little more appropriate”. No doubt this song is everyone and anyone. It also shows the growth and diversity of J Hus music.

“BILL Zoot and build an empire”

Probably one the most catchy lines throughout the album. J Hus is well on his way to building his empire. From billboard posters and a tour just before the release of ‘common sense’ Hus, leaves no room for imagination from what to expect from his European tour in November .
