This seemed like a bit of a continuity error, but we see later that the ghosts are able to warp reality a bit.

Tansu doesn't do much to make himself likeable, but he really isn't a bad guy.

Man, it's hard to get a good handle on the geometry of the forth floor. All the areas look the same, so for a while I thought it was just one big room.

You can tell they're illusions since they aren't phylogenetically consistent. Seriously, why is the king of the Zora a whale when everyone else is based on cartilaginous fish?

As the caster, this is probably exactly what he is seeing. Run.

I really hope the fact that Chilchuck is a union man is brought up in the anime. I believe it is only referenced in extra material, the succubus monster extra to be specific.

Andrew did not go all out against a child.

That doesn’t mean he let Dion score on him either. He’d been tempted, in the beginning, to let a few in but Neil had told him that it would hurt the kid’s pride. That Dion wouldn’t appreciate it or be happy to get a pity goal.

He’d thought that was a load of bull until he watched Smith with his son. Smith, from literally everything that Andrew has seen, is a very doting father, and while he doesn’t go all out on Dion, he takes him seriously.

Summary: Task Force 141 operates successfully without an omega, at least that’s what Price has been saying since its formation. Two alphas and two betas balance the pack just fine, and they have the numbers to prove it.

It works for a while, until the Omega Initiative is born and the 141 find themselves having to adjust to the sudden addition of an omega to their pack. Fresh out of an institute, you’re hardly fit for their secretive, dangerous world, or so Price thinks. 

As each member of the team gets closer to you, things begin to come to light, not only about you but about the decision to force you into their lives.

Chapter 28

And I try really, really hard not to worry the entire flight about what reception we’ll get once our motley group of paranormals arrives at the Gargoyle Court.

Chapter 28 summary: Grace briefly tells everybody about her spontaneous trip to Cork. And in case you hadn’t already guessed, she suggests that they should go there and rally the troops. After all, they’ve got nothing to lose. The gargoyles are on their side, regardless of Grace’s presence. 

However, Macy cannot portal to a place that she’s never been before. Which means that they’re all forced to fly on dragon-back. 

Chapter 29

This Gargoyle Court—my Gargoyle Court? A dream that just became my nightmare.

Chapter 29 summary: They go across Europe to Ireland. The closer Grace gets, the more she can feel the pull of her court, calling its queen home.

However, only to Grace’s immense surprise, the only thing that’s left of the court now is ruins. 

Chapter 30

I could be wrong, but something tells me the next few days are going to be more interesting than even I’d imagined.

Chapter 30 summary: Grace panics as she takes in the ruins, and thinks that Cyrus got to the castle. But then logic sets in, and she realises that if Cyrus did this, then it was several hundred years ago; this place is in ruins, and nature is taking over. 

After a lot of padding, Hudson eventually says that he’s been thinking ahead. He used a mysterious not AirBNB app to book them into a place for the next couple of nights, so that they can regroup. He reminds Grace when she asks that he’s like 200 years old… and rich as fuck. 

The vampires then leave to go feed, leaving the rest of them to get to their beds for the night. 

Chapter 31

“I want you to use the Crown to take away my powers.”

Chapter 31 summary: They go to the place, and Grace is excited because it’s not simply one room, but an entire estate. With a lighthouse. And lighthouses are cool. 

Grace and Hudson go somewhere to be alone, and then they start necking on each other. First one meaning, then the other, and then back to the first meaning again. 

However, Hudson eventually pulls away and asks that Grace use the crown on him to take his powers away.

The U-turn he had pulled had definitely been illegal when Smith called Wymack and asked where the bus was after they’d been on the road for five minutes. Wymack had felt terrible about it, but Smith merely shrugged and said that it was ok, and better than being forgotten on the bus.

They wait another 20 minutes, where Neil goes through every one of the fake names he has ever used with the receptionist, who seems more amused than anything with their game. 

Andrew pulls his phone out again.

Wymack picks up on the 2nd ring. 

“What,” he asks and Andrew hears the sound of Kevin’s infamously train-like snoring in the background, as well as the unmistakable sound of Wymack being on the road driving.

“I know it might not seem like it, but you can leave Kevin home alone,” Andrew says.
