WEBCOMIC DIRECTORY
Half the reason I created this tournament is so I could find new webcomics to read, and I know a bunch of you are following it for the same reason.
So: Here is a directory of every webcomic that was submitted!
Please note that this list is Very Long, so (1) I have not read most of these webcomics and can't vouch for their content, and (2) I have not tested any of these links, but I can fix any errors if you point them out.

Maribat Menagerie Tag Game: Rare Pair Link Chains
Hello everyone!
Tag games are a fun way to connect with your friends and bring things to those who may not be aware of them. Taking a spin on it can bring a new twist.
How This Works:
A series of 'anchors' are going to be listed below.
Pick one of the anchors and build off it by exchanging one of the characters out or by adding one to it.
For every member of the ship, tag that many people in the reblog or in a main post.
Additions to a chain can be multiple ships which will act as 'mini anchors' and help create a longer one.
Feel free to create your own anchors in an og post (try to include a variety characters) and @ this page to get it posted out!
Finally, have fun trying to share out rare pairs of Maribat!
Anchors:
Casino: Cassandra Cain/Nino Lahiffe
Walya: Wally West/Alya Cesaire
Vesperake: Zoe Lee/Tim Drake
Jaydrien: Jason Todd/Adrien Agreste
Chick: Dick Grayson/Chloe Bourgeois
Marave: Marinette Dupain-Cheng/Rachel "Raven" Roth
Thunderbird Feather: Barry Allen/Emilie Agreste/Oliver Queen
Bonus:
If there is a link ship that you have created for, share them out!
Tag this blog back if you have no one else to. Sharing more rare pair ideas are the purpose of this blog!
Try to make OT3s! They deserve love as well!
Give ships names if they don't have one. (Please use Char. 1/Char. 2 format as well)
Try to make a chain with no repeats throughout. Extra bonus to that is try to make a bigger chain that your fellow friends!
Can we make it to a 30-ship chain based of one of these anchors?

for carl - what do you think carl's life would look like without the apocalypse? like, if it had never happened? how do you think he'd actually have grown up? how do you think his family life would've turned out? even if it meant he'd be alive/not have to worry about walkers/etc, do you think it would actually be for the better? or for the worse? for ella - what do you think life looks like for her post film? you can answer with her being with char in mind or not, just with the curse being broken? what does freedom look like for her? IF you're answering with her being with char, what does royal life look like for her? in general, is she adjusting well? is there any chance at all she's in contact with hattie & olive? what about her father? for regulus - is there anything about him someone might be surprised to learn? maybe something he's never told anyone? maybe something he's only recently learned himself? who would he tell if anyone? who wouldn't he tell specifically? how important is this thing? how big of a facet of his personality/who he is, is it?
i literally love you for this omg these are such interesting questions and im obsessed with ella and regulus getting attention
Tumblr media
tbh i think a lot of what happened with shane in twd was because of a, yknow, apocalypse induced psychotic break. and i think that if the apocalypse happened lori and shane would have never happened. though i'd like to think lori and rick would have judith, cause i think he would be as good and involved of a brother no matter what. but tbh the main difference that comes to mind is he would be a lot more secure in his sexuality. i think he'd still try to "pass as straight" but i also dont see him being in the closet to everyone forever. and i think he would come out to rick and lori pretty quick, and theyd be awesome gay-parents. i think that growing up how he did, and being as respected and looked up to from such a young age like he was, did benefit him in some ways. about certain things he is very confident and self assured. but if he grew up normally he would definitely be way more of a "normal" kid and not a little adult at the age of 13.
Tumblr media
tbh i feel like she would forget sometimes LOL. like withy certain things she would just expect it to happen, so if someone tells her to come back she'd prob just automatically do it until she's like wait.... no! i think that she'd be a little suspicious or doubtful about char's real feelings for her, like she'd wonder if even subconsciously some of the appeal was her obedience. but so long as he likes her the way she is she'll stay with him. though i think she'd think life as royalty is stuffy, and she'd always be looking to get some air or time away. but she'd also use whatever privilege or power to help people. social justice warrior queen. for sure never seeing her step sisters again, and i dont see her going no contact with her dad or anything, but he'd have to come to her for visits. she's not going back lol
Tumblr media
he has way more in common with sirius than anyone might expect or he would ever admit. they have a very similar taste in music, and their fashion is only a few degrees of separation. they have very similar personalities, they just manifest in very different ways. but i think sirius would also be defensive of this if someone said it to him, and they both would be even when they were on good terms. just brotherly competitiveness instilled in them by their parents. also, call me crazy, i dont think he'd be particularly bothered by the fact that his parents are cousins. not that he'd ever bring it up lol. but similarly to the times of kings and queens, the dating and gene pool starts to overlap when the requirements for marriage are so hard to meet. so if anyone ever teases him about it he just kind of thinks of them as uneducated about the topic or just immature. not that he thinks it's good, or would ever do it himself. but because of how he was brought up he just doesn't really think it's that big of a deal.

I’m so Fucking proud of myself for getting to this point with guitar. It’s hard to explain but before I started pursuing music I had no creative hobbies what-so-ever and my father had no trouble reminding me of that every fucking day. Me and my dad pretty much hated each other my entire childhood. It was actually music that turned our relationship around. the second I took an interest in music his approach to me as a person completely changed. So that’s benefit to music #1 for me as it provided an olive branch to my father and made us mend some bridges that I genuinely thought would be charred for life. But lately I’ve been making a lot of strides that I think I’ve been waiting for since I started. I’ve pretty much stopped using tablature all together and started learning everything by ear, which I never thought I’d do, I hear music totally differently now. I hear a new song and if I like it I play it on repeat over and over again so I can preform this kind of mental autopsy of the song one instrument at a time and try to deduce who’s doing what and what chords and scales and progressions and time signatures are being used, paying attention to the “theory” aspect of every song that plays within earshot, which is something I never intended to learn or care about.
Like that Fucking lighthouse song I was talking about yesterday, I looked up some tabs and they were ass, watched a little YouTube tutorial and it sounded right but the guy was playing it in a weirdly complicated and annoying way (dudes in drop D to play a song in the key of E minor with a D Em G progression. Like why) so I said fuck it and played it on my phone and just picked out the chords how I thought they’d sound, I don’t wana brag or speak to soon, but Im very happy with how my versions coming along compared to the others I’ve seen floating around. Im excited to show y’all when it’s done >:)
Anyway. Just a self serving vanity post, glad I got into music, glad I worked hard at it for over a decade, proud of myself for not only sticking with it but trying as hard as I do every day to get better. I have no intention of ever “making music” in any capacity other than what I’m doing now. Just fun little videos that I can look back on years from now and say “damn I killed it, look at how young I was, I was handsome” it’s my version of a family photo album I guess. Looking forward to what comes next for me. I’m currently obsessed with blue grass music which is really Fucking weird considering my musical roots are comprised of bands like nirvana, rage against the machine, tool, queens of the Stone Age ect. Ect. But I’m excited to see where I’ll be in a couple years.
If you find yourself thinking that you have too much free time and want a hobby I seriously can’t recommend guitar enough. I feel like it’s an obvious hobby so most people don’t bother, or convince themselves that they “can’t do it”, but I assure you, you can. You don’t have to practice every day. You don’t even have to practice! I don’t think I’ve ever once in my life sat down with a guitar with the intent of practicing. I just pick it up when I want too and play whatever comes out. It’s never gotten old, it’s never steered me wrong, I come out of a one hour guitar session feeling like a brand new man. Like I got all the poison out. I genuinely feel it’s the thing I was born to do. But I have no intention of ever making a dollar from it, nor do I think I would if I tried, as one of my most influential guitarists once said: “when you expect anything from music, you expect too much, do it for you. Do it because you love it. If it’s meant to be the rest will come”
So that’s what I’m doing. Playing fun stuff every day, paying attention to my improvements, encouraging myself to do a little better every time I pick it up. And forever remaining hopelessly dependent on the 6 strings.
Thank you for reading♥️

I am always obligated to request Ranna facts for the character ask. Also Char or Cobalt as a bonus second one, dealers choice.
Ooh, thankee!
Favorite thing about them: The way that Ranna speaks was designed for every ounce of my theater tendencies, and I love it. Yes, queen, throw in an extended metaphor and an insulting euphemism. Make that sentence five times longer than it needs to be.
Least favorite thing about them: ... Having to improvise those theatrical lines as the DM.
Favorite line: All the insults. But really, the answer is something she said as the party was ramping up to go north and defeat the prince of frost. Forgive my terrible memory, it was improv multiple years ago, but it was something like, "If you are bound to face this evil, then what meager help a poet can offer, you will have. Friends and heroes, I travel with you."
Brotp: I enjoyed the rivalry between Ranna and Oliver. They bickered, they didn't respect each other, but nonetheless they had a kind of professional understanding and party loyalty. Sibling behavior.
Otp: Against all campaign and player designs, OriRanna bloomed wild in our hearts~. Oh for a burdened, genuinely good hero and the scribe who knows how the story must end but will not leave her side. I'll never be over it.
Notp: We haven't run into any. Probably Ranna/the nice young man her parents hoped she would marry.
Random headcanon: Ranna's singing voice is no good! Shocking for a bard but true; it's why she sticks to instruments and poetry. She can carry a tune, and her technique is simple but sound. But her tone is dark and brassy. She's just never going to sing prettily.
Unpopular opinion: What's to be unpopular about?
Song I associate with them: I have a whole playlist!
Favorite picture of them: [chinhands] The first portrait you did, before we knew the otp ride we were in for.
Hmmmmmmmm I miss my terrible girl.
Favorite thing about them: Char's flexibility makes her really fun to play in Situations. She's far more practical than proud. If her plan is shit, then she'll ditch it. If she needs to do something tedious or unimpressive, fine, that's her job now. She doesn't need to come out of it looking cool as long as she comes out of it.
Least favorite thing about them: I do not know how to get this woman a happy, conclusive ending.
Favorite line: I am a little stuck on the wack laugh I produced when Ledo asked, "Char... did you kill someone?"
Brotp: The great part about this party is the amount of potential in this sphere. Char already likes these losers all right. But will she form that unbreakable bond with anyone? More news in 2024!
Otp: We wait in hope. Something might come up!
Notp: None as of now.
Random headcanon: How about a random fact? If the party had left the Fenston estate with business concluded and that poor bastard had still been strung up for thieving, Char would have slit his throat on the way out.
Unpopular opinion: You guys let me know what the popular Char opinions are so that I know what to stand against. ;P
Song I associate with them: I have an even longer playlist for her....
Favorite picture of them: I treasure every Char art I get, of course. But I think at the moment, it's Bitey's young Char action shot.

Hello everyone! My name's Elio Herondale. My pronouns are He/Him and She/Her and I'm Pakistani-Australian. I know by the immediate look of my blog, I may seem like those users who only like the CW show and want things all gritty and shit and will go on and on about how the show is a holy grail of an adaption and that Green Arrow and the Canaries should've been greenlit and that Stephen Amell is the best version of Oliver Queen and blah, blah, blah, etc. all that weird nonsense. I'm not. I literally only like Mia because she shares Clary Fray's actress from The Mortal Instruments TV Show and I prefer The Flash over Arrow as being peak DC TV (Nora West-Allen, no one will ever have an impact like you had). Mia's like a watered-down mixture of Mia Dearden (who thank fucking goodness, finally returned to us) and Laurel Lance-Queen (who should be the basis of Ollie's daughter on Earth 1...Earth 0? Earth-Prime? I forget what Convergence named the Post-Flashpoint Earth.)
Tumblr media
The main DC chars that I really like are - Cissie King-Jones/Arrowette II - the Rogues (although my absolute favourites from them are Harley Rathaway/Pied Piper, Axel Walker/Trickster II, and Lisa Snart/Golden Glider) - Alinta/Bolt - Roy Harper/Arsenal/Red Arrow - Wally West/Flash III - Tommy Merlyn/Dark Archer II (the Kingdom arc one, not the show one) - and, of course, all of the Arrowfam (which also includes Cissie)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I'm mainly into Infinite Frontier and DC Rebirth and I've read a decent amount of Post-Crisis stuff but I'll eventually branch out into Pre-Flashpoint/Post-Identitiy Crisis DC. Don't worry. Other than that, my main interests are: - Ultraman (I tend to hyperfocus on the manga but I like the franchise as a whole) - Kamen Rider - Fate/Grand Order - Gundam: The Witch From Mercury - and BOOM! Studio's Power Rangers line Thank you for clicking on my blog though and stay Ultra~

When baked in a wood-fired oven, the pizza develops a charred, bubbly crust that complements the fresh and rich toppings.

Margherita Pizza
Tumblr media
The Margherita pizza is a classic Neapolitan pizza. It is made with San Marzano tomatoes, fresh basil, extra virgin olive oil, and mozzarella cheese. It’s the most popular of all Neapolitan pizzas.
Traditional toppings on a Margherita pizza
In Italy, Margherita pizza is a traditional dish. This is a thin pizza with tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella and basil. It is named after the Italian queen Margherita of Savoy. She ruled Italy from 1878 to 1900. During her reign, she was active in the country’s politics.
Today, Margherita pizza is available in several parts of Italy, including Naples. This traditional dish is made with fresh ingredients and can be easily made at home. There are a few tips to follow when making a Margherita pizza.
Start by preheating your oven. If your oven doesn’t have an in-built stone, you can use a baking sheet to place in your oven. You can also use a pizza stone if you have one.
Next, prepare your pizza dough. You will need to add flour and salt. Use a stand mixer or knead the dough by hand. Then add water and yeast to the dough. Add the rest of the flour, half a cup at a time.
Neapolitan pizza is traditionally made with flour, salt, and yeast
Neapolitan pizza is one of the most popular types of pizza in the world. Its unique texture and crispy crust have made it a culinary sensation. The Neapolitan pizza is made with the finest ingredients and artisan techniques.
To make Neapolitan pizza, you need to use yeast, flour, salt, and water. These three ingredients make up the crust of the pizza. You can prepare the dough in different ways. However, the best way to prepare it is through a wood-fired pizza oven. This method gives the pizza a great flavor, a thick and crispy crust, and a beautiful char on the edges.
There are two types of flour that are commonly used to make Neapolitan pizza. One type is called “00” flour, which is very finely milled. Another type is double-zero flour, which is a little bit coarser.
You will need to add a small amount of salt to the flour. Salt is added because it slows down the yeast and helps improve the taste and texture of the dough.
Method for making the dough
If you want to make a great Margherita pizza, you’ll need to plan ahead. You’ll need to assemble the toppings and prepare the dough before baking. Ideally, you’ll have a few hours to do the work.
You’ll need a few simple ingredients, including yeast, flour, salt and olive oil. For the best results, you should be using extra virgin olive oil, which will add a rich, nutty flavour. The recipe should also include basil, which is essential in adding the necessary finishing touch.
After mixing all the ingredients, you’ll need to let the dough rest for a few minutes. Next, you’ll need to divide it into four balls.
While you’re at it, you’ll need to coat each ball with a generous amount of olive oil. This will help the dough crisp up during baking.
When you’re ready to roll out your dough, you’ll need to stretch it out on a lightly floured surface. To help you get it to the right size, use your fingers to pinch the edges of the dough.
Taste of a Margherita pizza
For those looking for a nutritious meal that contains a good balance of macronutrients and fibre, the Margherita pizza offers a solution. It is a healthy, filling and tasty food that is easy to make.
This pizza is a simple, healthy dish that can be transformed into a ready-meal by adding a side serving of vegetables. It is a good choice for mass catering.
A nutritionally balanced pizza can provide the energy requirements of a 600 kcal meal. The amount of total carbohydrate, protein and fat varies according to the type of pizza.
Most commercial pizzas do not contain information on all nutrients. However, this project aimed to assess whether a two-component Margherita pizza solution could be made to meet the current nutritional recommendations.
The recipe was modified to include ingredients such as whole wheat flour, dried seaweed and natural ingredients. The amount of salt, garlic powder and baker’s yeast was reduced. Other minor ingredients were added to the original recipe.

Revelation 18:1-24 NLT - 1 After all this I saw another angel come down from heaven with great authority, and the earth grew bright with his splendor. 2 He gave a mighty shout: "Babylon is fallen--that great city is fallen! She has become a home for demons. She is a hideout for every foul spirit, a hideout for every foul vulture and every foul and dreadful animal. 3 For all the nations have fallen because of the wine of her passionate immorality. The kings of the world have committed adultery with her. Because of her desires for extravagant luxury, the merchants of the world have grown rich." 4 Then I heard another voice calling from heaven, "Come away from her, my people. Do not take part in her sins, or you will be punished with her. 5 For her sins are piled as high as heaven, and God remembers her evil deeds. 6 Do to her as she has done to others. Double her penalty for all her evil deeds. She brewed a cup of terror for others, so brew twice as much for her. 7 She glorified herself and lived in luxury, so match it now with torment and sorrow. She boasted in her heart, 'I am queen on my throne. I am no helpless widow, and I have no reason to mourn.' 8 Therefore, these plagues will overtake her in a single day--death and mourning and famine. She will be completely consumed by fire, for the Lord God who judges her is mighty." 9 And the kings of the world who committed adultery with her and enjoyed her great luxury will mourn for her as they see the smoke rising from her charred remains. 10 They will stand at a distance, terrified by her great torment. They will cry out, "How terrible, how terrible for you, O Babylon, you great city! In a single moment God's judgment came on you." 11 The merchants of the world will weep and mourn for her, for there is no one left to buy their goods. 12 She bought great quantities of gold, silver, jewels, and pearls; fine linen, purple, silk, and scarlet cloth; things made of fragrant thyine wood, ivory goods, and objects made of expensive wood; and bronze, iron, and marble. 13 She also bought cinnamon, spice, incense, myrrh, frankincense, wine, olive oil, fine flour, wheat, cattle, sheep, horses, chariots, and bodies--that is, human slaves. 14 "The fancy things you loved so much are gone," they cry. "All your luxuries and splendor are gone forever, never to be yours again." 15 The merchants who became wealthy by selling her these things will stand at a distance, terrified by her great torment. They will weep and cry out, 16 "How terrible, how terrible for that great city! She was clothed in finest purple and scarlet linens, decked out with gold and precious stones and pearls! 17 In a single moment all the wealth of the city is gone!" And all the captains of the merchant ships and their passengers and sailors and crews will stand at a distance. 18 They will cry out as they watch the smoke ascend, and they will say, "Where is there another city as great as this?" 19 And they will weep and throw dust on their heads to show their grief. And they will cry out, "How terrible, how terrible for that great city! The shipowners became wealthy by transporting her great wealth on the seas. In a single moment it is all gone." 20 Rejoice over her fate, O heaven and people of God and apostles and prophets! For at last God has judged her for your sakes. 21 Then a mighty angel picked up a boulder the size of a huge millstone. He threw it into the ocean and shouted, "Just like this, the great city Babylon will be thrown down with violence and will never be found again. 22 The sound of harps, singers, flutes, and trumpets will never be heard in you again. No craftsmen and no trades will ever be found in you again. The sound of the mill will never be heard in you again. 23 The light of a lamp will never shine in you again. The happy voices of brides and grooms will never be heard in you again. For your merchants were the greatest in the world, and you deceived the nations with your sorceries. 24 In your streets flowed the blood of the prophets and of God's holy people and the blood of people slaughtered all over the world."

The press pinned them as the perennial bachelors long ago, but at almost the same time as rumours about their love lives were swirling, Tony and Oliver had both fallen, and fallen hard. There was no denying now how Tony felt about Zatanna, even if he was trying to keep it from showing too obviously on his face. It was his cousin’s day – his week – and to take away from that with his own engagement seemed way outside the realm of ‘decent man’ that he was trying to go for.
Tumblr media
Of course, if anyone understood what that was like, it was Oliver. Tony found him after a few impassioned, improvised dance routines of his own (who said the Macarena couldn’t be updated?) and dropped into the chair beside him, in prime viewing position for the dancers who remained. “Do I hear church bells and see way too polished shoes in your near future, Queen?” he asked, raising an eyebrow as a teasing smirk came on his face. “Days like this kind of put you in the matrimonial mood, don’t they?”

Who is most likely to have their heartbroken? Who is most likely to comfort someone? And who is most likely to do the heartbreaking?
Oh goodie. This is the kind of question I love contemplating when it comes to the righteous and divine.
Anna Marie really does give off that charming Southern mother energy, doesn’t she? If you got your heart all trampled over, she’d be there with some form of pie piecing it back together again – but the opposite might be true when it comes to Mr. LeBeau. Every time he looks at her it seems like his chest is cracking right in two. Talk about complications. Barry Allen and Steve Rogers seem to have developed quite the friendship, and they’re both nice guys. If I’m predicting, and I am, I’d say Barry will end up with a very wet shoulder when Agent 13 gets her way. Poor Cap doesn’t know what’s about to hit him.
I’d say Sandsmark and Kent are due for a cliff dive any time soon, but they’ve already hit the rocks all on their lonesome. Hope that misplaced anger won’t get anyone hurt, though I do have popcorn on hand just in case. Speaking of misplaced anger … let’s hope Alex Summers doesn’t get Magneto’s little girl all riled up. We know what happens when metallokinetics get testy in love – and damn, if Oliver Queen plays his usual part, I’ll be getting screamed out of every weapons deal for the next six months before I even get my hand on a gun. Black Canary is one woman even I would avoid pissing off.

In this issue of The Daily Bugle …
Headline: The Daily Bugle provides the exclusive insight into events in Central Park on January 26th. Mutants, the grand majority associated with the ‘X-Men,’ engaged in a bitter battle against Enforcement agents. Dozens of our esteemed agents were murdered in cold blood, and a mere week after this gruesome event, severe damage was caused to the Raft prison. While CCTV and other security details are still being processed, it seems safe to assume mutants yet again target law enforcement, taking innocent lives as they go! More details to be found inside our special edition issue – ‘Are We Safe?’ We discuss mutant gene testing, Xavier’s Institute for Higher Learning, major mutant organizations’ views on registration, and theories surrounding damage to the Raft! (Story under read more!)
Page 3: Tony Stark, widely known by alias Iron Man, was interviewed by Christine Everhart on WHiH World News. Stark has long since acted as the face of pro-Accords sentiment in New York and was one of the first individuals with enhanced capabilities to sign on the dotted line, encouraging his now fractured team to do the same. In this interview, however, he doesn’t follow the standard party line. We’re sure you’ll all agree that what he does say is very interesting indeed! Read the full interview transcript on page 3, and decide for yourselves whether Stark has finally gone off the deep end!
Page 6: With agents facing heavy criticism following the crisis in Central Park, Captain Carol Danvers casts her own hat into the ring in an attempt to amend the Accords and their implementation. The Second Chance Initiative brings those who would otherwise find themselves behind bars instead are recruited to the cause. Amber Grant discusses on page 6, and make sure to send thoughts to the editor!
WHAT WE KNEW WOULD HAPPEN by J. Jonah Jameson (Editor in Chief)
Some believe that the press should be impartial. Some believe that we should report the facts of the matter as blandly as we are capable, that we should swallow down our own thoughts and feelings on events and push forward no agenda but the truth. My dear readers, that is not journalism as we promote at this paper. We have a responsibility - no, a duty - to bring the good people of New York not only the details, the minutia, of such events, but also the perception that my reporters have always boasted of so readily.
It is the age of media, and by the time this paper goes to print I have no doubt that the city at large will have already heard of the events that transpired at Central Park. Mutants coming into contact with Enforcers, causing mass collateral damage of our esteemed public space (and lawns paid to maintain with taxpayers’ money, may I add!) and injuries to both innocent civilians and the men and women who signed on only to cease the actions of these reckless few.
Am I to stay quiet on matters of such grave importance? Am I to tell you that over two dozen Enforcers lost their lives that day, some of them reduced to mere dust, leaving nothing for their families to bury? Am I to mourn the loss of a man who calls himself Cyclops, who leads enhanced individuals into battles with no foresight into the consequences sure to follow? Am I to sympathise with these people who brought fire and ice onto our streets, to the kind of people who destroy a site intended to house the most dangerous in our society so that we may all sleep peacefully in our beds at night?
My ex-wife would say yes. That is why I am now married to my one true love - journalistic integrity. Mr. Stark (noticeably absent from the scene, I must say. Did anyone check the local bar?) speaks of responsibility, yet the second someone asks him to further his opinions on these unregistered individuals, he steps back, afraid to offend.
What happened to the man on television, Mr. Stark? You once had so much to say against Senator Stern and their assertions that such individualistic attempts at justice and heroism needed to be quelled. You would think, with him standing on such a high pedestal, he would quite enjoy the feeling of preaching en masse. Please, sir. On the other side they have such outspoken rebels, including your good friend Oliver Queen. If you can not do it, I will have to. I owe it to the people of this city to tell them what everyone is too afraid to say.
Mutants are dangerous. The X-gene is a nuclear bomb waiting to go off, and no one has proven that more than Magneto and his accomplices. Every day, we live under the constant shadow of fear and doubt, not from the alien armies that have trampled our cities in the past, but from the weapons of mass destruction that live in the apartment across the hall from ours. They battle in public. They resist arrest. They hide their Institute far from the public eye - why?
Because they are preparing for a war. Yes, a war. I have said it here and now, and I must say that the day I am proven right will be a dark one indeed. I will take no pleasure in it, readers, for it is sure to be an event of mass calamity.
The Panel, Stark, Danvers, the Enforcers and United Nations behind them say that we should be quelling fear. We should be reassuring the public, comforting them. They try so hard to remain diplomatic that they miss the necessity of their measures. The Accords were voted on by over one hundred countries. One hundred, readers. We couldn’t get a hundred countries to agree on their favorite ice cream if we attempted to. Do you realise the enormity of the document we all have such ready access to?
This is the age of accountability. This is also the age when we, as upstanding citizens of New York, this fair country and indeed the world as we now know it, stand up and say enough is enough.
Children are terrified. Their parents cannot comfort them, for who is to say that tomorrow when they go to work, Supergirl will not fly through the office causing the building to collapse behind her? Who is to say that the day after that, Spider-Man, as I have yet again predicted, realises what he is truly capable of and sets out on a rampage across the city? Could we stop these people in time? Would we have a hope to mobilise so readily?
No. No we would not.
Mutants destroyed our park. They threatened our children. They killed our brothers, our wives, our valiant soldiers. When foreign enemies invaded our country and threatened our way of life, we did not stand idly by. We picked up our weapons and we went to fight for what was rightfully ours.
If the mutants wish to avoid law enforcement, if they wish to resist arrest and risk the destabilisation of a facility intended to house the most horrific of villains, then they may do so. They may do that with the right any man and woman has to act of their own free will, even if that is to terrorise the nation they claim to want to be a part of.
But we also have a right. Pick up your phones, your pens, your swords. Get what you must. Prepare yourself for an incoming battle, readers, because our way of life as we know it has changed.
One dead mutant in a park. Dozens of dead humans. The numbers are not kind to us, and they never will be.
It is time to remind them that we have power too.
We have always had the power.
