Hey y'all!

This is the third of seven fics I've written for Billy Batson Week 2024! Today's prompt was: The Rock of Eternity + At Home Base

I've always felt that descriptions of physical places/settings was difficult for me, so I thought I'd lean into that as a personal challenge for today's fic. It also let me show off my headcanon for how the Rock is laid out and how Billy is connected to it! All parts described here are canon places in various comics/movies (except for the last bit--that was mine!)

Summary:

He felt a pull, a stirring in his gut urging him deeper into the Rock of Eternity than he had ever gone before.

sorry to be a hater but the whole ‘mom steve’ ‘babysitter steve’ thing is quite literally one of the worst things to have ever happened to his character

What is your opinion on brinney? ( Bruce x Finney) or binney (Billy/Paperboy x Finney) ?

Hmmm, I think these are really cute and interesting ships!

For Brinney I really like the domesticity of it, because of how kind both Finn and Bruce are. They would be the sporty it™ couple, despite being on different baseball teams they still very much support the other on and off the field. Even in my au, I think Finn would support Bruce and being someone Bruce can lean on. Just 10/10 ship I love it ^^

As for Binney, I'm not as acquainted with it but I can also see this ship working out. Billy's sarcastic and hardworking personality and Finn's quiet but clever mind works well, because I can see Finn helping Billy on his runs, helping ease his anxieties after the whole Grabber fiasco. Also 10/10 ship! ^^

Overall, great ships and I probably draw them if I get the chance later :P
