(losing my fucking mind rn tumblr closed out on me and made me have to rewrite this ask from the beginning 😞😞)

but anyways!!! obedient sitting on johns lap, dozing off in their heavily decorated house (he bought her every holiday themed decoration her lil heart desires, the theme of their house is light and snowy with white tinsel and pretty garlands and fairy lights around every corner, accenting the dark wood floors and oak furniture perfectly <3) the smell of cocoa heavy in the background. price never ever lets her drink, but tonight is an exception. shes cupping a mug of peppermint schnapps in her little hands, sipping on it slowly and price laughs so hard at the sight of his good girl being tipsy, the vibrations of it rumbling through his chest and slightly jostling her; but shes too sleepy and warm, almost asleep from the combination of her keepers big burly arms wrapped around her and the heat in the house being cranked due to the cold outside. shes chatty today, probably because of the drink but mainly because of how excited she is to finally see her owner again. they talk about their days, share stories about childhood holiday experiences (she cant seem to remember hers though..), share lots of little kisses and snuggle each other; watching various winter themed hallmark movies and giggling about how corny they are (she secretly loves them and more than once, price catches her peering up at him from her place on his lap; her big doe eyes staring at him in adoration) shes more than a little drunk when she ends up falling asleep on him in front of the roaring fire. he chuckles to himself and kisses her head, shifting just barely to keep from waking her; as he grabs a big plush throw (one she picked out!!!!!) and spreads it out over them. they wake up the next morning, tangled together and faintly smelling of mint and his cologne. they both get up to go potty a little while after price nags obedient enough; and her legs feel like mush from sleeping on the couch overnight. (even if she technically slept on price, EVEN though their couch could count as a small twin sized bed its so big and cushy) its okay though, because price is off for a week and has time to help his kept bake and cook all day!!!! (rare holiday leave<3, he might get called in but god help whoever he has to face if it means taking away from the time he has with his babygirl) they make lots of cookies, end up feeding each other half of them before they even get to icing them (!!!!! they make a game out of it, seeing who can get more of the unused icing on the others face !!!!!!!!!!!); and price hasnt seen his pet this happy; ever. if only he had time off all the time!!! oh. oh. he wont bring it up just yet, but retiring is starting to sound like a good idea…

So pretty much a Gilmore Girls au type thing. like Hobie as Luke and R as Lorelei. Just sarcastic diner owner Hobie, chatty single mom R, and their slow burn 😔.

more than anything wants to be able to free herself from her family's influence and follow her actual passions in botanical science instead of just carrying on their artist legacy because she's expected to but at the same time i think she's afraid to admit to herself that she cares about the unit to the extent that she actually does and doesn't want it to end, and she's scared of what that means for her own identity of then Being An Artist in a way, even if its on her own terms and completely in her control. she wants to be with them forever but she can't let herself

extrovert ! she thinks people are fascinating and likes being around them even if she herself doesnt engage much . also does NOT let people in easily at all . she doesnt even let herself in . repression final boss

immediate family are her parents and four older siblings, and as for extended family she only ever sees them very rarely on account of weird infighting from her parents & their siblings you know jow rich families go . shes pretty close with all her siblings but they're all much older than her so they don't spend as much time as she'd like together + not so much with her parents (tried to run away from home once as a child) . vnr is very found family but people would be insufferable abt that so i hesitate to call them that ever

As a child, it was to have a family that loved her, friends and being able to live safely indoors. Sadly, her ideas didn’t change that much, but as a sex worker, she dreamed of being wisked away about a wealthy patron and live a life of luxury. However, deep down, she always wanted love and a family and that theme stayed her whole life. Now, she would add that she keep John and Jack safe and Jack to have a loving safe childhood in order to succeed as an adult.

😖 CONFOUNDED FACE — is your oc an introvert, an extrovert, or an ambivert? do they let people in easily, or are they more reserved?

Abigail is more of the introverted side of ambivert, if that makes sense. She was an introvert when she was a child that was essentially required to become more extroverted during her sex work days and then craved that family and friends connections causing her to reach out more, only to be rejected. However, at the end of the day, her true self is an introvert that wants to be with her family and maybe a few friends. She still has to recharge, though. She does not let people in easily, especially as she grows older and has been rejected for friendship so often.

🤔 THINKING FACE — what are some of your oc’s quirks/mannerisms?

Abigail doesn’t have too many, but she tends to sit in uncomfortable positions or hunched over. She also scrunches her nose a lot and she’s definitely a squinter. She needs glasses badly. She tends to bounce her leg a lot and when she’s in a good mood, she’ll hum or sing.

🧐 FACE WITH MONOCLE — is your oc more logical or emotional?

Abigail is about 50/50. Or maybe 40 percent logical and 60 percent emotional. She knows what she needs to do to improve her life and Jack’s life, but she has to get over her anxiety in order to do so. Not an easy feat, of course. She knows John needs to stay the course in terms of behaving, but again, her excessive worry prevents her from having any peace. Modern Au Abigail is more 50/50.

🤓 SMILING FACE WITH GLASSES — is your oc chatty or quiet? are they at ease in social situations, or are they more shy?

Abigail was rather shy growing up, but she was stubborn and not afraid to tell someone her true thoughts. As a sex worker, she had no choie but to force herself out there and be charming, extroverted and charismatic. In the VDL gang, she was more outgoing upon first joining the gang, but became far more introverted once she beame pregnant. She’s always wanted a community, family and friends, but she was always denied by most of the gang. She didn’t start with any extra extroversion until Pronghorn where she seems to really crave a community. The same can be said for Beecher’s Hope. Modern AU is very similar. 🤩 FACE WITH STARRY EYES — is your oc a planner, or are they more spontaneous in their actions?

Abigail is definitely a planner. She becomes incredibly anxious if she can’t plan and she always has a plan b and a plan c. Modern Au Abigail has planners both paper and on her phone.

😥 SAD BUT RELIEVED FACE — is your oc prone to getting stressed out, or is it easy for them to keep their cool?

Oh, Abigail definitely gets stressed out. She has intense anxiety and on multiple audio files has talked about how she does nothing but worry. This stems from her childhood and it sadly never leaves her. Modern Au Abigail is sadly in the same boat.

😓 DOWNCAST FACE WITH SWEAT — is your oc open-minded or stubborn? are they inquisitive or do they prefer to keep to their bubble of knowledge?

Abigail is a mixture of both. She is very nonjudgemental with her friends and is happy to learn about other ways of life, different cultures, and social justice. However, she is extremely stubborn with what she believes in and will not budge on them.

😞 DISAPPOINTED FACE — does your oc attract others, or do they tend to be left alone?

Abigail definitely attracts others - outside of the drama with the gang. A majority of the gang avoids her and shuns her, but that’s not how it started. As a child, she used her talent for singing to help earn coin. During her sex work days, she did well because of her beauty and charisma. As an adult, outside of the gang, she’s still beautiful and charismatic and does well with her business. Modern AU is very much the same!

🤒 FACE WITH THERMOMETER — does your oc get sick easily?

Sadly yes. Part of it is malnutrition, part of it is stress, and part of it is because Jack picks up so many illnesses. She also canonnically gets into many coughing fits and tends to clutch her stomach a lot. I hc that she has asthma. Modern Au Abigail gets sick far less often. Both canon and modern are incredibly hygienic, but there was only so much canon Abigail could do. Modern Au Abigail gets sick slightly less often as Jack grows past the preschool age.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 FAMILY WITH MOTHER, FATHER, SON AND DAUGHTER — how many people are in your oc’s immediate family? how many people are in your oc’s extended family? do they have aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, etc? who in their family are they closest with? are they close with their birth family, or do they have a found family?

Abigail does not have any family. Her mother died when she was born and her father died when she was seven. She has no living set of grandparents that she knows of and she was never made aware of any aunts or uncles. In Modren Au, her father never discussed any family and no one claimed her for adoption, hence why she was sent to foster homes. She very much so has a found family in Hosea, who she is the closest to and John (Depending on if they are together or not.) Arthur, Charles, Tilly, Sadie and Uncle. Modern AU Face claim for Abigail is Lauren Cohan.

a lot of his traits seem like contradictions, obvs bc his character is a lot abt having a range and abt facades and masks and the chameleon shifting identity (and maybe some traits might be only from the show and its influencing my mind and confusing me) but do you think he is more:

No, that’s so true. It would be easier to say what he isn’t, than what he is. He’s so complex and I love everything about him 😞

Damn. This is hard. It’s hard to put him into singular categories/boxes… especially since he’s written a bit differently in each movie. He’s definitely a mixture of all of these things.

a lot of these things, I feel go hand and hand for him. He is charming, but it’s in a bit of an aloof manner. If that could even make any fucking sense 😭 it’s a cold kind of charm. A reserved charm. A sick and twisted charm. I love sick and twisted Loki but he is more charming than he is aloof in all honesty. I do want to say that in moments where his “mask” is down, that he is a tad bit more charming. Though, he definitely has moments where he’s more aloof.

Melodramatic and flamboyant, or stoic… okay I’m gonna go with more melodramatic specifically. If there aren’t tears streaming down his face, is it even a Loki scene? Also, he has a more melodramatic/flamboyant way of speaking imo. He is definitely stoic, but I feel the drama overpowers that a bit. The stoicism is more associated with his facade/moments of deceit. Maybe a toned down version of melodrama and flamboyance. He is definitely expressive, but obviously… it’s nothing like the series. But he’s also stoic too! AHHHHHH

Ahhhhh outgoing and playful, or mellow… yeah he’s quite playful. He just has different ways of expressing it. I don’t think he’s very outgoing at all. I see him as being more introverted/reserved. He’s not afraid of social situations by any means, but he doesn’t love them. He wants meaningful connections, but I think having a ton of those would overwhelm him a bit? I don’t see him as the “loud” type. He’s playful, but in a quiet way. Ahhhhhdhshjdkehd I don’t know how to articulate it 😞 I do think he suppresses parts of himself due to insecurities/expectations, but I do genuinely believe he is the more quiet type. I don’t think it’s JUST because he dislikes being “vulnerable.”

Definitely more low self esteem. Loki definitely does have confidence and he doesn’t entirely dislike himself, but I don’t think he necessarily loves himself at all. His bits of “arrogance” come more from being a god above humans as well as from his own intelligence. It’s not from him loving much of his own traits.

More reserved. Yeah he definitely likes talking, but he’s the type to think before he does for the most part, anyway. Which causes him to withhold a lot of the things he likes to say. I think even if he were really comfortable with you, he would not want to ramble a whole lot. He may see it as a sigh of lower intelligence, but even then… he’s hypocritical. A lot of the traits he dislikes in others, may be alright when he does it himself. He contradicts himself a lot, as he’s searching for a purpose. A meaning for himself. Some kind of clarity as to who he is. (I’m starting to sound like Tom Hiddleston)

More emotion/logic… I think they get mixed up for him. He relies on his emotions a lot, but I feel like he does this thing where he sees his feelings as entirely logical. Maybe he has moments of clarity where he realizes… damn, some of this is not entirely logical. But, they go hand and hand for him. What he feels, is logical to him. He’s swayed by his feelings a lot. Though obviously, he is able to be ACTUALLY logical. He’s able to suppress his feelings, but it doesn’t work for long.

Yeah a lot of this probably contradicts itself but I like to think of it as Loki trying to find a sense of self but continuously failing because he doesn’t really like much about himself…

Can the tea thing be considered a quirk of hers? For those who don't know, Esme is a tea lover. But she's always leaving some behind in her mug and Tyler is constantly finding them in random places around the house. But when he makes her a tea, she always drinks the entire thing. And she always says it's because when he makes it, it tastes so much better :) As for little mannerisms, she's forever tucking her hair behind her ears, chewing on her bottom lip, gnawing on her thumb nail.

Logical or emotional: It depends on what the situation is. Esme is very good at analyzing things and sorting them out, and talking through them; she's especially good at getting Tyler out of a really dark place (mentally) or calming him when he's feeling anxious or irritated. She helps him see every possible angle and nook and cranny. but it's something that's threatening his or the kids' physical well being, she's definitely more emotional

Chatty or quiet" Esme quiet? NEVER. lol. She is extremely chatty. From first thing in the morning and she opens her eyes, to the second she passed out at night

Planner or spontaneous: she is definitely a planner. She needs things to be well organized and thought out so they can run smooth and flawless. Birthday paries, for example. She is extremely on top of things from the start of the planning process to the very end of the event. But she can be spontaneous at times. It all depends on what the situation is.

Stressed out or calm: Again, depends on the situation. But she does run a little on the neurotic side and when she's stressed, she needs to be talked down off that ledge before she gets a little too carried away

Stubborn or open minded: she's an extremely open minded person with stubborn tendencies lol. Does that make sense? She does not like asking for help and will shoulder a hell of a lot on her own. She's highly inquisitive and likes to learn new things; she delved right into the deep end of the research pool when Tyler was diagnosed with CPTSD and Bipolar 2, for example.

Attract others or be alone". people are drawn to Esme and her personality. She's extremely out going and loves to meet people

Do they get sick easily?: Not really, no. The occasional sniffle or a tummy bug, but nothing major and too many times a year

Dinner: Dinner usually consists of veggies from the garden, potatoes or rice, and some kind of meat. Usually beef or chicken, occasional Australian lamb, and a lot of fish.

Absolutely! I don't see why not. Lila often has trouble making friends on her own, too. Her voice isn't as loud as she wants it to be, and only when she's dressed up can she manage to use her voice the way it is in her head. She's only chatty when she knows she's not going to be a bother, and this is why it's so easy for her to get along with Ray in the first place.

He affirms his desire to be close to her right away, and she doesn't have to experience the lonely doubt she normally does when she's with him!

So, even if you're not a chatty person, if you let her know she's not going to be a bother, she'll talk your ear off! If you prefer to talk, she isn't bothered by that, either. She's a good listener, too. She may not always know what to say about your interests but she'll try to relate as best she can with topics she hasn't heard about before.

She may have a lot of questions, so she can do some research on her own. It's something she and Jumin have in common. Lila knows what it feels like to have your hobbies treated as "less than", so she never wants someone else to feel that way.

Well, this volume was a perfect medley of nightmare fuel and hospital AU fanfiction. I’m loving the art for the non-desert environments we’ve arrived at. Trees, haven’t seen those since the Little Arcadia arc! Such a shame that there’s too much puppet horror to enjoy them…

-“I want you as a puppet” has never been so threatening before. Is this guy going to be in Tristamp???

-Wolfwood gets a full chapter and a half to scream, show off his combat skills, and end up covered in blood. He gets so unhinged in these panels! It’s quite the contrast with Vash, who is usually pretty focused and also far less chatty.

-Out of context, the gun baby is hilarious. In context, the puppets are so messed up. Imagine the sheer trauma of shooting up the corpses of people you know because they’re trying to kill you. Leonof, I really don’t think being reluctant to do this is a character flaw…??

-Sopping wet Vash made me smile because I feel like this is where they might have gotten some of the idea for Tristamp Vash from. It’s reminding me of how I’m experiencing Trigun in reverse order, and finally getting to see how plot threads came together!

Home is still a lovely place, even if it isn’t perfect. Vash and Luida don’t seem to have the emotional baggage of Vash being (somewhat poorly) raised there as a kid in this version, and Brad is…a slightly less plant-phobic teenager. I’m sad that Doc is most likely one of the 170 people who died. That’s like 25% of the group!

-Well, Vash got his coin in the end. Even if it was from cleaning up dismembered puppet bodies. *shiver*

-And with a little help from Luida, Wolfwood is starting to understand exactly how Vash’s philosophy works, for better or for worse. I love that in front of Vash, Wolfwood tends to squabble over ideals, but when asking Luida about him he really does bother to listen.

For started, I'm an entp-t and a Leo. I'm a very quiet and shy person, until you approach me to start a convo, I'll get chatty with you in no time! (if the person matches my freak) I guess in general I'm a very open and loud person.

I’m also selfless(sometimes), for example if I’m having my favorite meal, I’ll definitely offer you a bite so you can have a taste, or I’ll buy extra of something just to give it to you, etc.

I’m very big on physical touch, though I’m big on every other love language too. If we’re close enough and I know you’re okay with it, I’m gonna be touching you every second LOL whether it’s holding hands, hugs, kisses, anything. I could just out of nowhere stuff my face into your tummy bc i love you idk. I loooove giving compliments, or saying anything silly that’ll make you laugh! I will also do things for you, like tuck you into bed, try cooking for you, learn about your interest, tie your shoe, ANYTHING!!!! I pick up a lot of small details and make sure to note them too!

I would say an ambivert - I know that's sort of a cop out but while she craves connection and is by no means shy, she extremely resistant to letting people in. Perhaps an outgoing introvert would be a better description.

She is chatty for sure, not strictly in a bubbly chatty way but she's not a sit-back and listen person. Definitely not at ease in social situations, but not due to shyness, just due to guardedness, fear, and resentment.

😞 DISAPPOINTED FACE — does your oc attract others, or do they tend to be left alone? Historically she has tended to be left alone, partially due to the reputation of her family and Kekkai Genkai, and then also due to her attitude caused in part by the reputation. A vicious cycle.
