(losing my fucking mind rn tumblr closed out on me and made me have to rewrite this ask from the beginning 😞😞)

but anyways!!! obedient sitting on johns lap, dozing off in their heavily decorated house (he bought her every holiday themed decoration her lil heart desires, the theme of their house is light and snowy with white tinsel and pretty garlands and fairy lights around every corner, accenting the dark wood floors and oak furniture perfectly <3) the smell of cocoa heavy in the background. price never ever lets her drink, but tonight is an exception. shes cupping a mug of peppermint schnapps in her little hands, sipping on it slowly and price laughs so hard at the sight of his good girl being tipsy, the vibrations of it rumbling through his chest and slightly jostling her; but shes too sleepy and warm, almost asleep from the combination of her keepers big burly arms wrapped around her and the heat in the house being cranked due to the cold outside. shes chatty today, probably because of the drink but mainly because of how excited she is to finally see her owner again. they talk about their days, share stories about childhood holiday experiences (she cant seem to remember hers though..), share lots of little kisses and snuggle each other; watching various winter themed hallmark movies and giggling about how corny they are (she secretly loves them and more than once, price catches her peering up at him from her place on his lap; her big doe eyes staring at him in adoration) shes more than a little drunk when she ends up falling asleep on him in front of the roaring fire. he chuckles to himself and kisses her head, shifting just barely to keep from waking her; as he grabs a big plush throw (one she picked out!!!!!) and spreads it out over them. they wake up the next morning, tangled together and faintly smelling of mint and his cologne. they both get up to go potty a little while after price nags obedient enough; and her legs feel like mush from sleeping on the couch overnight. (even if she technically slept on price, EVEN though their couch could count as a small twin sized bed its so big and cushy) its okay though, because price is off for a week and has time to help his kept bake and cook all day!!!! (rare holiday leave<3, he might get called in but god help whoever he has to face if it means taking away from the time he has with his babygirl) they make lots of cookies, end up feeding each other half of them before they even get to icing them (!!!!! they make a game out of it, seeing who can get more of the unused icing on the others face !!!!!!!!!!!); and price hasnt seen his pet this happy; ever. if only he had time off all the time!!! oh. oh. he wont bring it up just yet, but retiring is starting to sound like a good idea…

So!!! Lorenzo Silvana Halloran ! He/him pronouns, Scissors/Rock dual type with the title of The Performer. He’s 22, half portian and half islander. (Mom was Portian, dad was an islander)

Starting w backstory stuff: When the Country disappeared, he was only 12. He washed up on some random beach with only some tattered clothes, a notebook and a small ring. He stayed with his mom for a little while though left to venture on his own at 14 bc she actually sucks and is terrible.

Living in Portia, he’d grown fond of live performances of all kinds. Music, plays, comedy shows, etc. He ended up doing a few of his own and building somewhat of a name for himself. It became a fine source of money for him.

Isabeau and Mirabelle heard about him a little after Isabeau joined. He’d tagged along for navigation to find the second orb and greatly impressed the two with his skills and he joined ! (After getting proper clothes bc the only fitting ones he had were. Performance clothes and coverups plus one other set of clothes)

He’s incredibly kind, though a little obnoxious and incredibly closed off. He doesn’t really know how to be super genuine without being incredibly uncomfortable. Also doesn’t ever show fear ever at all. Never he’d rather die.

He hates any blood in large amounts not his own. Hates it. Not a phobia, but it makes him freeze up completely. He didn’t do that good when Siffrin lost his eye. That was the very first time they all saw Renzo actually scared ! Like visibly shaken ! He never did it again tho

He loves puns. Him and siffrin are an absolute fucking nightmare together

His hair is naturally darkless, but he dyes it a vast number of shades. It’s fun and covers up his grays (yes he has grays at 22. Genetics <\3)

He’s the tallest party member ! 6’1 without heels

He used Craft to alter his teeth, which are pointy as hell now, and his vocal chords, so he can hit ridiculous notes he really shouldn’t be able to hit.

His accent is a fucking mess. Similar to Siffrin’s, but mixed with both Vaugardian and Portian.

He really wants to craft more ridiculous stuff onto his body (like pointy ears n shit) but doesn’t. Remember how to do body craft. So he needs to re-learn (from isabeau hehehe)

He loves chocolate, but would only try super weird flavors if Siffrin was doing it with him

Chatty drunk. Absolutely will never shut the fuck up

Has called Odile “mom” on more than one occasion.

Well, this volume was a perfect medley of nightmare fuel and hospital AU fanfiction. I’m loving the art for the non-desert environments we’ve arrived at. Trees, haven’t seen those since the Little Arcadia arc! Such a shame that there’s too much puppet horror to enjoy them…

-“I want you as a puppet” has never been so threatening before. Is this guy going to be in Tristamp???

-Wolfwood gets a full chapter and a half to scream, show off his combat skills, and end up covered in blood. He gets so unhinged in these panels! It’s quite the contrast with Vash, who is usually pretty focused and also far less chatty.

-Out of context, the gun baby is hilarious. In context, the puppets are so messed up. Imagine the sheer trauma of shooting up the corpses of people you know because they’re trying to kill you. Leonof, I really don’t think being reluctant to do this is a character flaw…??

-Sopping wet Vash made me smile because I feel like this is where they might have gotten some of the idea for Tristamp Vash from. It’s reminding me of how I’m experiencing Trigun in reverse order, and finally getting to see how plot threads came together!

Home is still a lovely place, even if it isn’t perfect. Vash and Luida don’t seem to have the emotional baggage of Vash being (somewhat poorly) raised there as a kid in this version, and Brad is…a slightly less plant-phobic teenager. I’m sad that Doc is most likely one of the 170 people who died. That’s like 25% of the group!

-Well, Vash got his coin in the end. Even if it was from cleaning up dismembered puppet bodies. *shiver*

-And with a little help from Luida, Wolfwood is starting to understand exactly how Vash’s philosophy works, for better or for worse. I love that in front of Vash, Wolfwood tends to squabble over ideals, but when asking Luida about him he really does bother to listen.

duplicity has a mother and a father that he hasnt seen since he was 8 years old, and he hasnt thought about them since then. he had what he thought was a family in the sharran cloister, and since losing that, has just sort of been vibing. it won't hit him for a while that he has a real family in his companions, and when it does, well. that'll be something :)

logistically, beyond his parents, he likely has a sibling or two that he doesnt know about, who came about either right before he was sent away or soon after. he doesnt concern himself with hypotheticals :))

1. who’s your favorite character to write?

i'm sure i've expressed this sentiment before but right now its actually lilian 😭 at this point in dgwicf most of my characters are pretty open with stating their intentions and sentiments, for better or for worse. lilian differs in that aspect because she's so so densely packed of a person there's a lot of deep waters if you get the gist... i do wanna start writing prose stuff in her pov eventually (not just her dialogue) but inspiration hasn't struck me yet 😞

6. what’s the hardest thing to write for you?

fluff in general.... its just more interesting to me when a character is struggling in some way so a struggle with say superficial things (or at least things i'd consider superficial) is just.. difficult. the bachelorette with ari a few years back i found this out pretty quickly. also this is a horrible trait to have for someone doing a sims story but just straight up dialogue i have never and probably will never be confident with

7. do you plan everything out before you write or do you sit down and go with the flow?

i usually have a general idea of what the scene contains insofar as point a to point b and emotional fluctuations and how it ties into the overall larger plot but for the smaller details like the bulk of how it actually feels and sounds i usually just do it on the fly 😅 if i overthink it usually im unhappier with the result by the end... being flexible is good for sim story because if you set your expectations too high the game will probably disappoint you

8. what songs do you listen to get in the writing mood?

physically rubbed my hands for this one sgdkshsk music is very important to me... it depends on the scene for the mood but out of stuff released recently, stereo mind game by daughter, blue rev by alvvays, preacher's daughter ethel cain have been really helpful for more quiet contemplative scenes in dgwicf. when i need more blood going in me i'll listen to ptv or key glock or roddy ricch. and ofc edens discography for in general 😌 though sometimes i can't stand lyrics in which case i use my instrumentals playlist

10. how do you get around a writer’s block, if anything?

um pray for divine intervention DGFHJKL it's happened only like once or twice but if i brute force my way through a block by writing just terrible nonsense and rarely rarely that works. i gotta say though i think about writing a lot more than i actually do it...
