My Saitou Shuka
Summary: Shuka pops by Anju’s house for an impromptu sleepover because she can. And Anju wants to know about the tag #WatashiNoInamiAnju trending on twitter that Shuka messaged her about an hour ago with no answers.
Pairing: AnShuka
Genre: Romance and Fluff
Words: 1002
 Author Notes
I did say I’ll have a continuation~ :P And here it is after Shuka and Anju themselves provided more tidbit (but nonetheless delicious) information about Shuka saying “My Inami Anju” live~ XD
May you enjoy~ :D
It’s all dark outside and quiet. Though Shuka only knows how silent it is until she took off her earpiece, folded it nicely into her earpiece pouch and stuck her hand into her bag once more to fetch Anju’s house key. Pulling it out, she grins. Always happy to see the key that unlocks the doors to her girlfriend’s house, especially since Anju herself was the one to present it to her.
As gently as Shuka could she unlocks and locks the door with a click and ninja steps her way over to Anju’s room since the house lights were out, Shuka assumes the Inami folks already went to bed. And she certainly wouldn’t want to wake them when all she wanted to do now was get to her girlfriend as quickly as possible and spend the rest of the night with just Anju.
Shuka turns the knob without knocking and the lights in Anju’s room flickers on immediately. The jolly brunette wasn’t fazed, however, as she was expecting Anju to be up. After all, her text messages with Anju on the way here was…
Shuka (8:17pm): #WatashiNoInamiAnju is trending no.1 now (laugh)
After sending that interesting piece of information, Shuka starts to make her way to the bus stop.
Anju (8:26pm): Huh
Anju (8:26pm): Why
Anju (8:26pm): How?
Anju (8:33pm): What happened?
Anju (8:33pm): I wasn’t even there?
Shuka boards the bus before checking the replies.
Shuka (8:35pm): www
Shuka (8:35pm): Are you home?
Anju (8:36pm): Yes
Shuka grins at Anju’s prompt reply; it’s so short and nothing out of the ordinary, but it made her happy nonetheless to get a ‘yes’ from the girl she likes.
Anju (8:38pm): Answer me?
Shuka felt extra playful tonight and wanted to tell Anju face-to-face how the niconama went and this trend she unwittingly started.
Shuka (8:45pm): trending~ trending~
Anju: (8:50pm): -`д´-
Shuka chuckles at the memory of leaving Anju hanging and without answers. “Did you wait long, darling~?” Shuka presses a peace sign to her cheek and smiles dorky at her girlfriend.
“Darling”- uhh- Shuka flirting. Cute but-
“Oh shush and tell me what’s going on.” Anju walks back to her bed, grasping for her composure to not crumble. “You know I’m not good at all this…techy stuff.” Anju squints at the still grinning girl, flails her arms a little and drops her phone to her right to make a point.
How do you even check ‘trends’?
Shuka laughs as she plops beside Anju, bums touching, never caring about personal space when it comes to Anju. In fact, she wants Anju’s personal space as her own too. “Which one? Shush or speak?”
Shukaaaa…
“What did AiAi and Ainya do to you? You’re being such a tease.” Anju shakes her head disapprovingly but Shuka could tell that Anju was holding back a smile.
Shuka bounces a little, smile wider as she bumps her shoulder to Anju’s. “Nothing. I just like teasing you… You know, that? People tease the one they like.” The shorter but much brazen girl winks.
Anju groans and grumbles. “Mou...Why are you so cute…”
So cute. So illegal. My Saitou Shuka.
“What’s that Anju~?” Shuka’s megawatt smile never wanes as she scoots impossibly and obnoxiously closer to Anju, sticking her body onto Anju’s entire left.
Anju swears her heart can’t hold when she’s around Shuka as she feels her heart race incredibly faster. “It’s hot so don’t stick so close.”
Shuka chuckles at that before leaning back, using her hands to prop herself up. “Aww~ and here I thought you’d miss me.”
I miss you and want you but that doesn’t mean I’ll say it out loud.
“Are you going to explain yourself or not?” Anju stands and paces away from her bed, Shuka quick to follow. “If you’re not…” Anju turns and veers Shuka’s body to face the door. “You can go home now.”
“EH!?” Shuka whips her head back to show Anju how shocked and hurt she is to hear that. “You’re really sending me home..?” Shuka pleads in a small, fragile tone, a hurt puppy look on.
Anju couldn’t keep a straight face. And she’s the theatre girl.
Ugh, the things Shuka do to me…
“And you’re really not telling me?” Anju could at least return a smart comeback.
Shuka’s lips poke into a grin; her mood turning one-eighty. “So there was this segment in today’s niconama that we will present a certain character-”
“Ah, I saw it.” Anju smiles at the memory; of Shuka having fun, of Shuka getting her name, of Shuka promoting her as best camper…
“Eh? You did? …That’s kinda embarrassing…hehe~” Shuka giggles, her shoulders raised high as her whole body shook.
Anju felt her heart tighten and she blinks so her eyes were half open staring at Shuka; a pretense to look unamused despite her swooning inside.
What is with this cute creature!
Anju chews the inside of her mouth before speaking. “Y-Yeah…I did… So?” Anju prompts Shuka to get to the point of how that led to a “My Inami Anju” tag to be trending on Twitter.
“Ah. Apparently when I said “My Inami Anju”, the fans loved it.  And kept tweeting about it, so now this tag is trending on twitter!” Shuka laughs, clearly amused at all of this.
Anju who isn’t so well-versed with twitter wasn’t as ecstatic. “That’s a good thing?”
“Of course it is!” Shuka hops right in front of Anju, taking her hands just the way Anju likes; though she rarely admits. “It’s proof of my love for you~ And the fans love for us!” Shuka adds a quick wink.
Love for me…
“I…see…” Anju lowers her head, cheeks hot and sure to be red and she mumbles low. “I love you too…”
Anju peeks up and all she could see was Shuka beaming at her; saying without words “I love you, Anju!!” Anju couldn’t win the blush or the racing heart or her smile muscles that night. Anju is a bit too in love with Shuka.

Tumblr media
Nippon Ichi Software and Acquire have released two new short videos on Twitter that go into some of the girls’ everyday interactions that continue on despite their transportation into a post-apocalyptic world.
Check out the first one below, featuring Kyoka, Erina, and Isana:
https://twitter.com/minasamae_/status/1122370623047491584
Next is a video featuring the other two girls not seen in the first trailer, Kazumi and Yuyuko:
https://twitter.com/minasamae_/status/1122818803560112128
Nippon Ichi poked fun at themselves, saying that these visual novel story segments aren’t the main meat of the gameplay, and is really just fluff to characterize and have fun. At the same time, you could call it the “main part” of the game, aka seeing the characters interacting with each other.
To All of Mankind will release in Japan on June 27, 2019 for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. Check out the recently announced DLC character Shuka Sukhaya in our previous report here.

Two days in Numazu (Love Live Sunshine real life setting): a report
Tumblr media
Heya! I know I haven’t used my Tumblr in ages, but I didn’t know where else to put this so here I am.
So, I’ve been to Japan for two weeks in late February and I managed to spent two days (Sun 19th and Mon 20th) in Numazu and Uchiura, the places where all of Love Live Sunshine is set. It was an incredible experience, so I’ve wanted to write a report both for me to remember it but also to show other people the place. I can’t believe I procrastinated two months in this
Tumblr media
From Kyoto (where we were before this) we arrived at Numazu on Sunday morning at around 8am, by night bus. This is Numazu Station, featured a lot of times in the anime. We’ve been really lucky and had a wonderful weather! at least for one day
After going to check-in to our hotel (if you’re interested in going, I really recommend you Sanco Inn Numazu Ekimae, it’s super close to the station and the staff knows English pretty well), we came back to catch the bus for Uchiura.
Tumblr media
Right in front of the station there’s a collaboration cafè, Yudai Festa Sun! Sun! Sunshine Cafè. We went there later for dinner.
Tumblr media
This is the bus stop to Uchiura. You’ll see Love Live is literally everywhere here. Unfortunately I already knew we had no chance to catch the LLSS collaboration bus if we didn’t want to waste time (the first was at around 11am iirc)
While we were waiting there for the bus, another bus arrived and a girl next to us asked us “Where are you going?” so I said “Izu Mito Sea Paradise” (since it’s the most known attraction from Uchiura and it was actually our first stop), and she said that that other bus that arrived was going there too. So we took that bus.
Tumblr media
Random photo of the scenery from the bus.
Comes out, that bus wasn’t going to Izu Mito. I don’t know what happened, if she didn’t understood what I said or she was just wrong, but at some point on the road to Uchiura the bus changed direction. I kept looking where the f- we were going on my phone, and comes out we were going to the near city of Izu-Nagaoka. I tried asking to the driver if the bus was going to Izu Mito Sea Paradise (maybe taking a longer route) but he said “No, *something else I didn’t caught* Sea Paradise”. IDK. In the end I found with Google Maps that there was another bus going to Izu Mito from that area, so we dropped off the bus and waited for the other bus.
The funny thing to all of this is that at that bus station in the middle of nowhere and far away from every LLSS location there was this:
Tumblr media
No matter where you go, Love Live is there.
An old woman also asked us (in Japanese this time) where we were going and she confirmed that this bus was actually for Izu Mito and she was right this time. I got pleasantly surprised that people are so friendly there, even with weird gaijins like us.
This detour unfortunately cost us a lot of time, but in the end we managed to arrive to Izu Mito Sea Paradise! If you don’t know, this aquarium is the setting for the Koi ni Naritai AQUARIUM PV.
Tumblr media
I forgot to take a photo outside This is the Show Stadium of the Aquarium, where most of the scenes in the KoiAQUA PV happen.
Tumblr media
I loved this tank with sakura flowers inside.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I haven’t took a photo of the whole coloured jellyfish pool (where You is being emo in the PV) but I had a bit of fun photographing the single jellyfishes.
Tumblr media
Shukas Otteeeeers so cute. I went to see them hundreds of time.
Tumblr media
A dolphin came to say hi to us! o/
Tumblr media
A nice view of Awashima Island and... Fuji-san being shy and hiding behind clouds.
Tumblr media
Aqours images signed by the seiyuus. In front of this place is where you can see half of the aquarium’s audience are Love Livers, a lot of people came here to take photos of the posters. I loved the guy that posed next to Mari doing her “Lock on!” pose lol
Tumblr media
Best grills and best seiyuus signatures
Tumblr media
The aquarium shop has a literal aquarium with Aqours acrylic standees inside
Tumblr media
YouChika under the sea and a fish staring at me
Tumblr media
Aqours standees inside the aquarium shop.
The visit to the aquarium took us until midday, since we also saw the shows. After lunch, we went out and headed to our next stops.
First of all we stopped at the close Sannoura Tourist Center, aka the tourist center of the town. I tried periscoping inside of it so here’s a video: https://streamable.com/d5n33 (I can’t find a way to embed it sorry)
As you can see the place is FILLED with Love Live, it really is the main attraction there.
Tumblr media
If I recall correctly this page in their signature book was signed by the seiyuus when they first came here in February 2016. I witnessed one of Rikyako’s best masterpieces with my own eyes I feel blessed.
After we looked around a bit the two staff members showed us a map of Japan where people put a round sticker for the place where they were from, and they also had spaces of overseas. For Europe iirc they had a space for UK, Germany and then “Other Europe” lel, so we put our sticker there. There were only 2 sticker on “Other Europe”, and I wondered who they were... comes out it was my friend and her boyfriend who come here in December :’D Not a lot of people are as crazy as us uh better for them
After this the staff girl asked us if the wanted to write a post-it with cheers for the seiyuus for their First Live. After I wrote mine, she took it, looked at it and asked “Yousoro?” (since I wrote it in blue and added an anchor), I said yes and then she disappeared for a bit and came back with two You keychains as a present for me WTF I was almost crying as I thanked her, so kind!! They also gave some Chika goods to my friend, I was speechless. As if it wasn’t enough, while we were going out the staff guy stopped us and gave us one of their big posters??
Tumblr media
Like seriously WTF. Are they really so happy to see tourists?
I feel sorry that they also tried to make some conversation with me but unfortunately I’m still a beginner in Japanese and they didn’t know a lot of English ;; They managed to ask me if we were going to see some locations and I said that in fact we’ve already been to Izu Mito. They were so happy ;;
Another nice thing I didn’t expected is that outside of the Tourist Center we found a few itashas. Not comparable to the one you can see in UDX in Akiba but they were nice!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This one was very well made, except for the fact that one side was wrongly mirrored lol
Tumblr media
This guy has good tastes.
Tumblr media
We left the Tourist Center in the direction of the school. This is the place where Mari falls while running, in fact, to the school to meet Kanan.
Tumblr media
A bit ahead we found this groceries shop called “Oh! Mos” that sells mikans and specifically the Jyutaro x LLSS mikans, and also has this big Aqours shrine. I told ya LL there is really everywhere.
Fun fact: Suwawa, Rikyako and Anchan went in this shop a few weeks later, when they were there for their DIVER photoshoot, and left a signature (that’s the shop twitter account).
Tumblr media
We took a bag of mikans and when we went to the counter to pay, the old woman pointed at Chika’s image in the bag and said “anime?” to us, lol. When we said yes (?) she showed us that they even have the cardboard box of mikan, the megaphone and the sign that Chika uses in episode 1 to gather people for her school idol club, lol. SUKURU AIDORU BU DEEESU. My friend took a pic with them
Tumblr media
Btw, mikans are really good.
Moving on, we went to the place where the girls (try to) shoot a PV in episode 6. The place is called “Nagahama Castle Ruins” but there really isn’t much except for a really nice view.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Actually, I had printed a lot of these postcards with anime screenshots to take this kind of photos, but unfortunately I realized taking a good shot takes a lot of time and effort, plus the wind was not helping me. In the end I gave up and took really a few of these. I still have all of them so maybe I’ll try again if I manage to go back in August.
Tumblr media
If you turn back you can already see the school!
Tumblr media
My friend took a panorama of the bay.
Tumblr media
Moving on to the next stop: the little shrine where Kanan ends her morning run and dances under the stalkers other girls’ eyes.
I saw a lot of people thinking that the shrine where Kanan dances is the same as the one in episode 4 to where Ruby and the seconds year run, but it’s not: that one is in Awashima Island and it would have required Kanan to take the boat from where she starts her run. In fact it’s this one, a bit before the school. There were two other Love Livers there taking photos.
After this we finally got to the school bus stop! Featured in the ending, as well as in episode 1 when You joins the school idol club.
Tumblr media
I failed this photo on so many levels.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Going up the hill to the school, such a nice scenery.
Tumblr media
And here it is! Uranohoshi Girls Highschool is in real life a middle school called Nagaisaki. It was Sunday afternoon so no one was around, except for the gym where we could hear some people inside.
After this we walked all the way back to Izu Mito and beyond to see the other locations, like...
Tumblr media
Yasudaya ryokan, aka Chika’s house!
Tumblr media
And right in front of it, the beach featured in the very first LLSS image, as well as the scene in episode 1 where Chika and Riko talk. Someone already wrote Aqours on the sand.
Tumblr media
And the pier when Riko tries to kill herself jump in the water.
Tumblr media
Early blooming sakura.
Tumblr media
Last one I tried to take. Kimi no kokoro wa kagayaiterukai?
Tumblr media
Shougetsu Cafè! aka the place were a CYaRon radio drama is set, and also were the 2nd years seiyuus went during their Teku Teku. Of course we went to grab some mikan dorayaki! They are super good. I even bought mikan jam, but I still have to open it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Photos and signatures of the seiyuus.
Tumblr media
We were so lucky we even found the LLSS kitchen car! I bought the You Noppo keychain.
Unfortunately, at this point my organization failed me. We wanted to go to Awashima Island, but I got wrong the place where the boat docks. I thought it was in front of Shougetsu, where there actually is some kind of port, but it wasn’t. We lost time looking around and on the web (how come that the Awashima Marine Park website doesn’t say where the boat docks?!), then tried to ask to the girls in the kitchen car who managed to explain to me it was 20 minutes by feet to get there. Unfortunately it was already kinda late, and since we didn’t want to rush it we decided to go back to Numazu. While riding the bus I saw the bus stop “Awashima” and the docks. If only we had take the right bus in the morning I would’ve know. Too bad.
Tumblr media
Even if we didn’t rode the LLSS collaboration bus there was still some Love Live on board. Someone likes OmoiNare ships here.
Tumblr media
At Numazu station we finally grabbed some Noppo Pan! I bought the LLSS (caramel) flavoured one this time, and later I tried the strawberry chocolate too. In the same shop in the station I also bought some really good mikan cookies.
Tumblr media
Going around Numazu by night. This shopping district appears in episode 6, and it also contains Maru-san (Maru’s favorite bookstore) and the cafè used as a background for Guilty Kiss first illustration
Tumblr media
Obligatory visit to Numazu Gamers, or Numazu’s Little Demon shop.
Tumblr media
Inside the shop.
Tumblr media
Going to the collabo cafè for dinner! They have this fake UraGirls bus stop sign which actually resembles the real one (including the timetable)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I got the full You menu: Youkisoba (I even got the appropriate coaster), You’s drink and You’s Magic Tea (it’s a butterfly pea tea, it’s blue but when you put lemon in it it becomes purple). I really liked it tbh to be just a collabo cafè (not famous for the quality of their meals...)
And this concludes our first day in Numazu.
The next day we decided to do just a short visit to Numazu, since going back to Uchiura just to go to Awashima Island was too expensive.
Tumblr media
Nakamise again.
Tumblr media
We went to see Yoshiko’s house, a building called Natty Numazu. At the first floor of the building, on the other side, there’s a watch shop that even has some LLSS merch, and when the shopkeeper saw us looking at it they made us enter and sign their Yoshiko signature book lol
Tumblr media
This tiny temple is right next to the alley where Yoshiko is seen in the last scene of episode 5 (before starting running away from the others).
Tumblr media
Of course since You is best grill I couldn’t miss this place: You’s house! Which is not a house but a Western-style cafè called Orandakan.
Tumblr media
Just from outside you can’t be wrong this is the place.
Tumblr media
Their You shrine from inside.
When we entered an old lady came to us and made us seat. She tried failed a bit to talk in English and brought us their signature book (I swear every single place has signature books there). My friends told me she also said “Welcome to You’s house” but unfortunately I didn’t catch it.
Their menu is only in Japanese but luckily since the teas are all in katakana and the cakes had pictures we managed to order something.
Tumblr media
Not bad but tbh kinda pricey, I paid 1010 yen for a tea and a piece of cake... but it was at You’s house! So it’s ok.
Tumblr media
Our message in the signature book, I did the writing and my friend did the drawing.
Moving along Yoshiko’s escape route, we passed next to Numazu Deep Sea Aquarium (where the first years go in their KoiAQUA radio drama, aka the shiirakansu aquarium) and Numazu Hamburger & Cafè, where the first years also came for their Teku Teku.
Tumblr media
I took a photo of this sign and not of the place, how fail I am.
Tumblr media
We finally arrived at Byou (which I discovered actually means View-O), the water gate/observatory where Yoshiko finally stops running and also where You and Mari go talk in episode 11. Going up only costs 100 yen but due to some circumstances we decided not to go. The weather got bad in any case so we wouldn’t have seen anything anyway.
And this concludes our trip around Numazu, and is also where we suddenly started having incredible bad luck.
The weather was getting worse and worse, with strong wind and rain. On our travel back to Tokyo we wanted to make some stops: at Atami to visit the Plum Garden since the plums were in full blooms, at Nebukawa station (the station of feels in the anime), and Kozu station (the beach of feels- yes, they’re in different places). After riding the train we already decided that we would miss Atami, the weather was too bad to enjoy a garden. We could still stop at Nebukawa and Kozu, I mean, we just have to stop and take some photos, it can’t be that bad, right?
Wrong. The wind was so strong we were basically flying away, I’ve never seen something like this. We run inside the station and I only managed to take these photos.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Being the wind so strong we decided not to stop in Kozu, since it would’ve been a pain with our luggages and everything. But, after arriving at that exact station, the train stopped. We heard a lot of messages but we couldn’t understand them. We checked online and discovered that all trains in the Tokaido line were suppressed due to strong winds. And we were in Kozu. But we couldn’t go down. I couldn’t believe our bad luck, lol. The train stayed there for three (THREE) hours before leaving, and even then it was going slow and occasionally stopping, making our travel from Numazu to Tokyo 6 hours long instead of 2. But in the end we managed to arrive in Tokyo safe and sound.
Anyway, except for this last part, I really loved going to Numazu. It’s a bit of a struggle if you don’t know Japanese and it’s kinda expensive, but if you’re a Love Live fan it’s really really worthy. It’s not just “seeing” those places in real life, you can do that from photos... but being there, living like them, taking the same bus they take to school, eating mikans and Noppo pan... it’s an incredible experience. It makes it feels like everything is more real, even if it’s just an anime. I really hope I’ll be able to go back in August!
I want to give many many thanks to LuciaHunter for the LLSS Locations Google Map (link: https://www.google.com/maps/@35.3623197,139.0468361,10z/data=!4m2!6m1!1s1cL4tMTO0iVaz69hqK88wyetWkR8 )
and also u/MasterMirage and u/FliryVorru for their reddit posts, they all were a huge help in planning this!
This concludes my report of these two days in Numazu. If you really read this till the end thank you, hope you like it! And if anyone has any question feel free to ask!

“10 years ago, Anime Festival started as a dream among my team to create a professionally-run Anime and Japanese Popular Culture event that fans, including myself, will truly enjoy and love. The festival has grown from having 25,000 attendees in year one in 2 halls in Singapore, to 100,000 attendees last year in Singapore alone. Today, we continue to be customer-focused. We are proud to be the definitive J-pop event that connects our customers with the latest most sought-after contents direct from Japan, and we’ve been delivering this for the last 10 years across Asia,” -Shawn Chin, C3 AFA’s Organiser and SOZO’s Managing Director.
Local and overseas fans of Japanese popular culture can immerse themselves in a weekend of heart-pumping, non-stop premium content and entertainment across two levels of Suntec Singapore Convention and Exhibition Centre. The specially curated anniversary #C3AFASG18 festival line-up will cross both online and physical platforms, including Singapore-exclusive activities such as a celebrity red carpet event, and an online star-studded charity auction. The festival grounds will host both new activities and mainstay favourites - from anime showcases, special guests, a stellar lineup for the I Love Anisong Concerts, and the World Cosplay Summit Singapore Preliminaries.
A world-class Experiential Festival that stays grounded to fans at home
For the first time, #C3AFASG18 will hold a dazzling star-studded red carpet event in front of Suntec Singapore. To celebrate 10 Years of Anime Festival Asia, the event will be broadcasted online on Sunday, the last day of C3AFA Singapore 2018.  Full details of confirmed stars will be announced later. The celebration transcends the convention grounds to share the joy and rally the online community as #C3AFASG18  gives back to society with its inaugural initiative, Anime for a Cause. An online portal will be launched for fans to participate in a lucky draw to purchase special items donated by celebrities and partners that C3AFA has collaborated with previously.  Full details will be announced shortly.
Other celebratory initiatives include a stamp rally to collect commemorative stamps and claim fantastic prizes on-site during the festival weekend. Fans can also reminisce their favourite festival moments at #myAFAMoment, a collection of photos and anecdotes contributed by fans who have attended and grown with C3AFA SG since its inception. Fans can contribute photo moments with the hashtag #myAFAmoment on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.
The latest and hottest anime titles and talent
Bringing the latest and hottest anime titles yearly, fans can look forward to a series of exclusive premieres. Organisers announced that the festival will screen the first episode of the highly-anticipated Mob Psycho 100 II, ahead of its premiere in January 2019. The series features an eighth grader with psychic abilities, and is an action-packed comedy series from the author of One Punch Man.
The star-studded festival grounds will welcome special guests including voice actors Rika Abe and Erii Yamazaki (who voice Hresvelgr and the Materia Sisters respectively from Frame Arms Girl), Minami Tanaka (who voices Mary Saotome from Kakegurui XX), Haruka Terui (who voices Sarah from Gundam Build Divers), Atsushi Abe (who voices Toma Kamijo from A Certain Magical Index III), Ai Furihata and Shuka Saito (who voice Ruby Kurosawa and You Watanabe from Love Live! Sunshine!!), Ai Kayano (who voices Alice from Sword Art Online Alicization), Mimori Suzuko and Momoyo Koyama (who voice Hikari Kagura and Karen Aijo from Revue Starlight) and Sumire Morohoshi (who voices Emma from The Promised Neverland).
Other guests include Eri Sasaki, a rising anisong singer who wrote, created and arranged the music for the song “Fuyubiyori”, the ending theme to the popular anime, Laid-Back Camp, and nob-c, the lead character designer for The Price of Smiles - a project celebrating Tatsunoko Production's 55th Anniversary, that will air in January 2019.
Gear up for themed booths and exclusive merchandise
Highlights of exhibition booths include Fate Grand Order, a free-to-play role-playing game developed by the FGO Project, consisting of DELiGHTWORKS, Aniplex, and Notes, based on the immensely popular Fate franchise by TYPE-MOON. Fans can also look forward to giveaways and photo-taking opportunities with the Gudako mascot.
A myriad of exclusive merchandise including a T-shirt capsule collection from Pop Team Epic, a Hatsune Miku Nendoroid exclusive from Good Smile Company, Honkai Impact exclusives from miHoYo, and merchandise from MUSE await fans and collectors.

Another Amazing Kickstarter (A Guide To Dining Out In Nairobi) has been published on http://crowdmonsters.com/new-kickstarters/a-guide-to-dining-out-in-nairobi/
A NEW KICKSTARTER IS LAUNCHED:
This short is a comedy narrative of around 8 minutes. It’s about a security guard called Juma. He works on the gate of a very wealthy Kenyan man’s house, and one day his boss gives him a tip – $10 USD. This sets Juma’s mind racing that night as he ponders in his humble house in the slum, how he can spend it. It’s a lot for him. Then he gets an idea. He’s going to have the most extravagant meal at the finest restaurant in Nairobi – just like his boss does. Now Juma is a clever guy, he knows exactly how to pull this off with just $10.
Entertain, then inform.
This story perfectly sums up many of the quirks of life in Kenya – along with some of the more serious issues – using humour and intrigue. It’s a charming tale that audiences both local and foreign will be able to relate to and appreciate.
The goal of this film is to put spotlight on some of the continent’s well known problems, but do so by keeping audiences curious and chuckling to the very, very end. It’s too easy to switch off to real issues when things get serious.
We have two primary locations, and two minor ones, and filming is scheduled for 3 days – all overnight shoots. This can be tough on crew and we really have to ensure everyone on set is happy and well supported at all times, to get the best possible film.
There is a huge pool of massively talented people attached to the project, all who want this film to get out into the world. We have:
HUGH MITTON – WRITER / DIRECTOR
Hugh has been working in film and advertising for 6 years, the last 4 of which he has been honing his craft in TV commercials. He started out as a copywriter and his early work has racked up over 13 million views online, while his breakout spec commercial – a Valentine’s Day ad for Coca Cola, screened across 4 continents, including on the American Idol finale. His other specs also played at Tribeca, BFI London and Cannes Lions, all thanks to MOFILM. This will be his debut short.

   YAFESI MUSOKE – LEAD ACTOR
Yafesi is an extremely talented, utterly hilarious actor (and writer) who features every weekday on Nairobi’s radio waves and is a member of Because You Said So!, Kenya’s premiere improv comedy troupe. He is the perfect fit to play Juma, the happy-go-lucky askari, and the role was written with him in mind.
Follow Yafesi on TWITTER or INSTAGRAM for fresh chuckles daily.

   ANDREW MAGETO – CINEMATOGRAPHER
Andrew “Magz” Mageto is an AFDA Cape Town trained, master cinematographer with an incredibly slick style. He and Hugh have shot numerous projects together and will be working closely together to ensure this film has a very vibrant and fresh look, that fits with the comedic undertones.
See Andrew’s talents in his latest showreel – one to watch (literally).

  EYEQUEUE KENYA – PRODUCTION SUPPORT
EyeQueue is one of the premiere media production houses in East Africa, producing work for clients like Barclays, Coca Cola, Airtel and Safaricom, all over Africa for the last 6 years. Their experienced in-house team will be working hard behind the scenes to coordinate the film’s pre-production and shoot to ensure the best possible result.
MEGA ENSEMBLE – CAST & CREW
We have had offers from many talented people in the industry from fellow directors to casting agents to production designers to contribute their skill set to the project however they can, and I am extremely humbled and grateful. As mentioned, I’ve been very lucky to work with a lot of the best Nairobi actors, actresses and crew in the past couple of years. Many of the crew also worked on Netflix’s Sense8 which recently wrapped photography for the second season in Nairobi.
We have have offers from some very experienced sound engineers, colourists, and composers to assist us with post production. This will involve any shot clean up, colour grading, enhancing or adding sound effects, and scoring music.
SAM O’NEILL – MUSIC COMPOSER
Sam makes powerful sounding scores. He and Hugh have a long, close working relationship and will be working together to enhance the film with music.
Listen to Sam’s work here
The film will be submitted to numerous film festivals in the hopes to gain some recognition, awareness and of course, laurels on the film’s online thumbnail.
Soon after it will be rolled out to be enjoyed and shared by all online. Based on the reactions from those who have been told the story, we expect it to live a wildly popular life online across Vimeo, Facebook and YouTube.
Backers of the project will be able to see an early preview of the film as soon as it’s complete.
To help give back to you for backing us, we’ve made some Kenya-inspired apparel so you can literally show your support. A few of you will get your mitts on these vibrant, one-of-a-kind caps! They’re made from locally sourced Kenyan lesos and Masaai shukas, finished with a leather AGTDOIN film badge. Please note colours are first-in, first-served. Please check with us first if you’re only after one specific colour.

From everyone working on this film, a big warm thanks for your support.
  Risks and challenges
STAYING ON TRACK This is my first short film. I have shot many commercials previously and I have an incredibly solid team, all of us have worked extensively filming in Nairobi. We will have a large amount of pre-production time to ensure we don’t go over our allocated shoot days or miss any shots.
WEATHER Thankfully most of our locations are indoors so can be filmed rain or shine – a close eye will be kept on the weather near the shoot and a decision made if we need to adjust the schedule.
THE SLUM Perhaps the biggest challenge will be filming in the slum at night. It’s a very vibrant place and will be receiving assistance from both residents within the slum and from location managers to ensure a smooth running of the shoot. While filming in Kenya’s slums is not uncommon, it still presents unique challenges and we are working with a team who have previous experience with this.
MEDICAL & SECURITY The entire shoot has a comprehensive film insurance policy, and security and medical personnel will be on-set at all times.
THE UNFORESEEABLE If the project gets funded but does not reach the shooting stage due to a Black Swan event or an unstable production environment, a full refund will be issued to all backers.

ENGLISH NO
Alternate title: Eigo wa dame deshita na You-chan (translation: You-chan who apparently isn't good at English)
Summary: You tweets about the magazine featuring her but with a lot of misspellings. Yoshiko reacts to You’s promo photoshoot images and saves You from any more English errors. (hopefully)
You x Yoshiko
(789 words)
You skips and bounces happily into the clubroom before plopping down on a seat, her happy aura radiates out of her, the other occupant in the clubroom, namely Yoshiko, does not even have to ask to know why as the news and excitement has been going on for a while now – the magazine featuring You’s photoshoot will be out soon, in fact, it’s released today. Yoshiko already advanced ordered it and will get a copy by evening.
You fiddles with her phone, as per usual, she’s informing her fans about the photoshoot. Yoshiko flips her phone out to see what You might tweet but first stopped to marvel at the selected shots of You placed in the tweet (sweet!).
“Hm…” Yoshiko hummed as she looked at the first picture; You smiling ever broadly in a tilted angle, never mind the one-size too large colourful and graphic shirt the ash-brunette had on coupled with a simple jeans, the Fallen Angel can barely keep her heartbeat in check with how alluring You’s smile is!
Taking a deep breath to calm herself, she swipes to the next photo. Yoshiko’s chair rattles as she flinches from the direct eye contact with You in the second picture.
What is with that ridiculously soft looking cheeks?!
Yoshiko looks over to You still smiling at her phone, and her purple eyes landed on You’s cheeks, pushed up as the ash-brunette’s expression was set on a constant happy grin. Yoshiko averts her gaze, stare any longer and she might go over to poke them.
On to the third picture… Okay…
You has too many hats.
Yoshiko shakes her head slightly but felt a sense of respect for the high diver and her love for hats. She can relate to going crazy for one thing – the Fallen Angel has many high quality feathers collected in her lair after all.
Next picture. Yoshiko slams her hand on the table, luckily not smashing her phone on the table. You looks over with an eyebrow arched high. Yoshiko gave a crooked smile. “It’s nothing…”
IT’S NOT NOTHING! HOLY- I MEAN UNHOLY HELL, YOU!!
So casual. You is casually posing. You is casually killing her fans with how simplistic and cool she looks with a hand on her head, a passive gaze, a not-her-usual-heart-stopping-broad smile instead it’s a soft, small (still heart-stopping) smile. And to top it all of; You in spectacles. Yoshiko dared to look at the fourth picture of You in spectacles one more time, more prepared now, she didn’t had another epic reaction to it. Yoshiko smoothly saves the picture to her phone along with the rest.
Exiting from viewing the images in full view, Yoshiko proceeded to read the attached words in the tweet, figuring it’ll just be You’s usual excited introduction to the magazine’s release. But You is quite good at surprising Yoshiko, as Yoshiko raises an eyebrow at the magazine’s name…
FRESH?
Yoshiko scrolled down to see You correcting herself. No wonder the first-year found it weird, it was a misspelling.
FLESH. This looks wrong too.
Yoshiko saw another attached tweet and wasn’t sure whether to laugh or cry.
FRASH. For the love of devils, You! How bad is your English? Or memory for the magazine your photoshoot goes into?
Yoshiko quickly types in twitter the correct name for You’s sake.
The Great Fallen Angel Yohane: “You…FLASH…”
You’s face turned red from embarrassment. She not only got the word wrong thrice, her junior was the one to correct her about it. She puts her phone on the table with a clutter sound and rushed over to where Yoshiko was sitting, dropping to her knees and grabbing the first-year’s hand into hers. “Help me, Yoshiko-chan!”
“Wha-?! Help what? And it’s Yohane!” The Fallen Angel almost falls off her chair.
Oh gods…You is giving me the begging puppy look.
“Help me with my English, Yoshiko-chan! I know I’m not really good at it and I would love to improve with your help!”
You’s puppy dog eyes were doing a number on the Fallen Angel and Yoshiko could only feebly say, “Why should I…”
“Please!” You’s large blue eyes getting all moist with emotions and pleading really had a strong effect on Yoshiko.
“Ahh, alright, alright. Be at my lair later this evening and I’ll train you how to spell! Be prepared! This Fallen Angel isn’t going to go soft on her little demon!” Yohane stands and does a pose; an escape from looking at You’s adorable begging expression and soft hands on hers.
You just might be the death of me…
You brightens and jumps to her feet and salutes. “I’ll be there, yousoro~!”
Death by cuteness might not be a bad thing to engrave on my tomb…
