have yet to work on the Chloe Meta more because i have other things to do but i'm thinking about it, so here's a few things i'm rotating in my mind:

chloe is an epithet of the greek goddess demeter and refers to the young, green foliage or shoots of plants. chloe's tattoo contains leaves, thorns and flowers.

max's vision of the storm at the lighthouse comes right after chloe curses the bay for "taking away everyone [she] ever loved" and this is then followed by a sudden snowfall. demeter is believed to have caused winter and famine when persephone left to be with hades.

the newspapers max can find talking about the animal deaths and other anomalies describe them as "inexplicable" and there's no apparent environmental explanation for them. what did this immediately make me think of? the forest fire in before the storm set by rachel, which is also described as mysterious.

off that, rose amber describes chloe as a "force of nature" when you talk to her in before the storm and says this could be why she and rachel get along so well. side eyeing that.

"this could be rachel's revenge... our revenge." do you see the prospero/prospera and ariel parallels here. because i'm seeing them.

in max's nightmare, the "ghost max" in the diner starts to tell max she's being stupid and that "someday chloe will destroy-" but gets cut off when chloe comes over to the booth. since she was just talking about her being toxic for max (getting her in trouble, forcing max to time travel to save her) the first interpretation is that that's what she means, i.e. chloe will destroy max through her own self destructive behaviors. but when i read back through the transcript for polarized and saw this bit i went eyes emoji at it because "ghost max" could have also been talking about the storm.

the storm and the associated anomalies persist in some way relating to chloe even in other timelines. max sees beached whales in the alternate timeline, where that chloe is still angry at the world, even if she's better at hiding it. watch her reaction if max refuses the choice she gives her. in the comics, waves!chloe builds a sculpture that is called "the storm" (this chloe also keeps getting flashes of deja vu from the dust timeline, so that's interesting). when i saw this panel i jumped. look at the symbolism in there. chloe builds "the storm". chloe builds the storm.

in general the devs of before the storm like to put a lot of focus on stating how destructive chloe is as a person. life is strange also loves to use the personality powers trope. this is definitely the case with max -- she questions her decisions, she's hesitant, she can be a little slow to action sometimes, so: time powers. for chloe, someone who the devs describe as "a wrecking ball" and being very brash, and someone who harbors a lot of resentment and anger (justified or not), wouldn't a destructive power like that (however you classify it) with such a connection to her emotions fit her?

Red is a common street thief struggling to make ends meet. With her Mom gone and money running thin, she gets a bit too bold thieving from the patrons of elite Charmington Hotel and Casino. It was only a matter of time before she got caught. Red thinks her life is over, but someone else has been paying attention to her exploits—someone who can make her dreams of wealth and luxury come true in exchange for her specific set of skills.

Unfortunately, that someone happens to be the Princess of the Charming Family Crime Syndicate, Chloe. A girl who’s not only hands-on in running her corner of the family business, but whose lush and lavish contracts (laid in steel and sealed in blood) are almost never worth the price.

Lowkey might actually write this one as a long form story? mafia AU’s are overdone but they’re also a classic, and I love the idea of a very powerful and dangerous Chloe pulling Red around (since Songbirds was the opposite).

Dark!Max Caulfield au

I was inspired to write this post on what a dark version of Max Caulfield would look like My dark Chloe au post

So saving William is the decision on what makes Alternate Max a member of the Vortex Club. What could make Max Caulfield dark? I've come up with multiple ideas

This Max in all three different timelines would wear red and black. Red and black three piece suits or Black hoodie and Red Coyote shirt to symbolize how different this Max would be.“The coyote is a complex dream symbol. … The appearance of a coyote in a dream may symbolize a lack of ambition or a weakness of some kind. It may also indicate that you are attacking those around you who are weaker and can't defend themselves as well. Coyotes represent “tricky” and unexpected elements in life.“ “A Navajo saying holds that if Coyote crosses your path, turn back and do not continue your journey. The coyote is an omen of an unfortunate event or thing in your path or in the near future.“

This is a Max Caulfield who never meets Chloe Price, without Chloe in her life, Max turns cold and more introverted. Only having a morbid sense of photography and her sense of style catches Jefferson's eye. He helps her perfect her craft and lets her in on the dark room. And after taking this apprenticeship, Max's ability to rewind awakens and she uses it to help Jefferson perfect their art. Max lures them under the guise of friendship and a smile, but that smile is bait. Max, Jefferson and Nathan work together to perfect their models, but what changes is Max and Nathan fall in love. Because of this, Nathan is not fixated on Rachel Amber. Max helped Nathan in becoming a more stable and dependent person and Max is the person who helps Nathan achieve the Prescott destiny with Max by his side.

Nathan kills Chloe before her eyes, Nathan kills himself and this leaves Max traumatized. This leaves Max vulnerable and malleable to be indoctrinated and groomed by Jefferson to becoming his new apprentice. Max becomes detached, cold and ruthless. She acts as the bait for the victims and doeses them and delivers the new models to Mark while he photographs them in the dark room and after Jefferson is done, Max disposes of them. It starts as just wanting a new partner, but soon blossoms into obsessive love. Mark loving Max and Max loving Mark and both willing to killing anyone that comes between them. Her powers never come and the storm never arrives. All that's left is Jefferson and Max working together to find the perfect muse for their sick obsessions and no one would ever expect them while they masquerade as the famous photographer and his prized pupil and as lovers, in reality they are wolves among the sheep.(I don't ship the cursed ship, I just felt it was the darker direction for this timeline)

This is a Max who has lived in Seattle all her life, Victoria Chase is her childhood best friend and she meets Mark Jefferson earlier than she would in canon. Jefferson offers to take Max on as his apprentice and Max is so enamored by the famous photographer and her parents couldn't be more thrilled. Jefferson helps Max to become a better photographer, helps her become more confident in her abilities, give Max a sense of style and flair and lets Max in on his true nature and to his surprise, she doesn't flinch, in fact she offers to help him with his victims and gets Victoria to join them. While Victoria flinched at first, she came around. As long as she's with Max and her favorite artist, it's all worthwhile to Victoria. Victoria would be who lures the models while Max and Victoria went to work. The Chases would help finance their "projects" because having a renowned photographer like Jefferson in their gallery is an opportunity they cannot pass up and thinks Victoria's idol will be the role model she desperately needed. Eventually they move shop to Arcadia Bay. Get in touch with the Prescotts and help set up the Dark Room. Eventually Nathan becomes a problem and Victoria tries to help him and Nathan lashes out, Max witnesses this and sees Nathan trying to kill her and that's when her powers manifest. Victoria goes to Max and they begin to plan Nathan's downfall. But as Nathan falls, Jefferson notices and feels Victoria has become a distraction to Max and tries to kill her. Max makes the hard choice. Her best friend and the girl she loves or Jefferson her mentor. Max lures Jefferson into a trap. When he thinks he has Victoria at her mercy, Max doses him and ties him up. Jefferson loses it, raging at her for betraying him after all she did for her and demands she unties him and kills Victoria. Max gets the gun and says "It's like you always taught me, Mark. Always take the shot" and just like that, Jefferson is dead. They go back to Arcadia Bay and see the storm raging. They make it to the lighthouse and see all the destruction. Victoria is distraught and asks Max what they should do. Max kisses Victoria and says "fuck it, let's blow this town and go back home." All that matters to this Max is Victoria and she'll be damned if Jefferson or a freak storm will take her from her.

So I have a Life is Strange theory and I know I'm probably not saying anything that hasn't already been said before, but I feel the need to ramble about it because MMMMMMMMMMM. Major spoilers for Life is Strange and Life is Strange: Before the Storm.

My theory: Rachel had powers, too.

That's definitely been said before. I know I've seen people talk about it both on here and on other sites. When she kicks over the flaming trashcan, a HUGE gust of wind blows from behind her and turns this relatively small flame into a huge forest fire. The fire goes out when she disappears. I've seen people debate whether this is a power related to the wind, or fire itself, but I personally think that her power encompasses all of nature. Which leads me to the second part of my theory.

Not only does Rachel have powers, ones that are related to nature, but she quite literally is the storm that wipes out Arcadia Bay. And the deer that follows Max around through most of the first game, and the butterfly.

Now PLEASE hear me out on this.

Max Caulfield suddenly gains the ability to control time seemingly out of no where, conveniently right in time to save Chloe Price from being shot to her death in the Blackwell bathroom. She's also been getting premonitions of a catastrophic impending tornado seeming headed straight for Arcadia Bay. And, to top it all off, she sees a doe all around the town that seems to follow her and make direct eye contact with her on several occasions, that only disappears when her and Chloe finally locate Rachel's body. Do you wanna know where Max saw the doe in the junkyard, the very first time she's seen it outside of her foreboding nightmares about the storm? Right next to where Rachel is buried. What's in the bathroom that gives Max a convenient hiding place to witness Chloe's death so she can reverse it? The butterfly.

At each turn Max takes, there is some sort of natural occurrence or creature guiding her path, leading her not only to the clues that solve Rachel's disappearance, but also to saving Chloe's life time and time again. She's then faced with a choice: sacrifice her hometown, or sacrifice her best friend.

Despite being given a choice, it's my firm belief that Rachel wants us to sacrifice the town. The very first thing Max's power is used for is to save Chloe, which she was all but put on a leash and led to by numerous strange occurrences that all seem to link back to Rachel Amber. Rachel wants two things: for her story to be told, and for Chloe to be safe. And she knows the only way to ensure both of those things happen is through Max Caulfield, Chloe's long-term best friend since childhood. She also knows that Chloe and Arcadia Bay do not mix, and cannot coexist. If Chloe lives, Rachel will not let Arcadia Bay stand knowing all the pain this town has caused not only herself, but Chloe. If Chloe is dead, there's nothing for her to protect. And it's all up to Max to decide if Chloe is worth that sacrifice. She's gotten what she wanted for herself, for her story to be revealed. That's why the doe disappears after they find her corpse. The only thing that's left is ensuring nothing can ever hurt Chloe again, not even herself.

Once Arcadia Bay is in ruins and Chloe is safely out of town, the storm stops. Peace has been restored and Rachel can finally rest.

And, finally, my third part of this theory:

Rachel is the reason anyone in the continued Life is Strange series has powers in the first place.

Life is Strange 2 picks up a story that seems completely unconnected from the story of Rachel, Max and Chloe. It follows two completely different characters, Sean and Daniel, in a different state. Life is Strange: True Colors follows Alex Chen, also in another town. This seems like it couldn't possibly tie back to the original story but JUST YOU WAIT, DEAR READER. In LIS2, Sean and Brody quite literally have a heart to heart while overlooking the ruins of Arcadia Bay. In LIS:TC, Alex meets Steph Gingrich, a character who was featured in LIS:BTS and is canonically from Arcadia Bay. No matter how minor the connection is, each Life is Strange game up until this point has somehow referenced or tied back to the story of Rachel Amber, and by proxy the story of Max and Chloe.

Each character who gains powers have something in common, as well. They all have something, or someone, important to protect. The same way Rachel, and Max, protected Chloe. Rachel's influence is still felt throughout the United States, all because she wanted to protect all that was important to her and destroy anything that dared to underestimate her.

The true story of Life is Strange can only be told if you sacrifice Arcadia Bay, and that story didn't start with Max Caulfield. It started with Rachel Amber.

So yeah, I have been in a sort of journey thinking of a pretty cool plot if ever the Life is Strange games would visit Max and Chloe again. Basically in my idea, Max and Chloe has been living great and all. They're successful in life and is in a pretty stable living. One day, Max not only realized that her powers were weakening, she also noticed that her existence is also slowly fading along with it. With both of them alarmed with Max's situation, Chloe has to make sure that she help Max to continue living the life they have. Basically, Chloe has to do everything regardless of how ridiculous it could be. Dye her hair blue again? She has to. Drive her back to Arcadia Bay? She has to. Bring her back to the lighthouse? She has to. Anything to keep Max existing.

So at the end, it would either be that Chloe does everything for Max, or they just live their current lives until one day Max just suddenly disappear.

I dunno. Is it corny? It think it kinda alright tho.

I hope everyone was able to see the eclipse today and didn't burn your eyeballs out doing so! I didn't have any glasses, but our nice neighbor let us borrow hers for a bit so we could see it, which was very nice and cool. 💖

Anyway, I wanted to post some haul pictures from the toy show I went to last weekend with my friends. It was my first time going and I had an ABSOLUTE blast (and spent too much money, but we won't talk about that loool).

1. A Geri Halliwell doll that I am SO pumped about!!! Ginger will forever be my favorite Spice Girl, and I had this doll as a kid but lost her somewhere along the way (i.e. my grandma probably threw her away when I wasn't around 🥲) so I'm thrilled to have her back! I'll take her out of the box someday but right now I'm just enjoying her as is, oh Kmart price tag and all. 💖 Also the little doll of herself kills me. 😭🥰💞

2. A little balding Sailor Uranus. She's so adorable, and Uranus is one of my all time favorite scouts, so it was destiny. Her side shave just makes her unique. 🥰

3. A Scully Barbie, 90s edition. I've wanted her for ages but never took the plunge, so when I found her for a great price at the show she had to come home to me. 😎 Her tiny badge and little cross necklace are perfection-all her accessories are so well made. I'll have to keep my eyes peeled for a Mulder to bring home in the future. 💞

4. A Kraft Mac and Cheese Barbie. I love her garish, brand whore outfit. Also her face is too cute, 90s Barbies were supreme IMHO.

5. A Dakin (Daken?) Dream Doll. I couldn't leave and come back without some weird little doll from the 60's 🤗 I love how pudge she is. She's def a mob boss or something. Her power is undeniable.

6. The COOLEST Bratz outfit of all time. The little guns are so damn cute, I love it so much. 💖 And a cool opalescent Gundam because it was too cute to ignore and wanted to pay homage to one of my best friends who has hella cool Gundams we will someday build together maybe. 👯‍♀️

7. Some unnerving, blinky ponies. I'm obsessed and want all the blinking ones. I love how often their eyes get caught and make them look drunk. The neon pink one is apparently named 'Shady'. Perfect. Love that for her.

8. Tiny, footless Chloe. I got her because she came with the Bratz outfit, but I still love her. She gossips with all the other girlies now, they adore her. 💖 (Also I know it's dusty AF up there, I'm a mess ok??? Mind your business loool)

I feel like miraculous will just do the most bare bones use of the Multiverse with evil heroes and good villains, Miraculous is a Franchise in which the multiverse is a great idea

They’ll probably just make say “they’ve always been evil” without making a explanation of why Hawkmoth is good and the Duo are bad, imagine if they gave the Re-verse a cool backstory like “marinette parents died in a accident and she became the worlds youngest top criminal which discovered about the miraculous, she stole the Ladybug and cat miraculous but master fu misinformed her about which miraculous granted the wish and instead making her go after the two miraculous Master Fu knows nothing, the butterfly and Peacock miraculous, and so Ladybug rampages trough paris trying to get her hands on the miraculous and even discovering Adrien agreste is a sentimonster in her pursuit for the Peacock miraculous making him he’s pawn which will use the cat miraculous [see that play of words? Paw-Pawn?] and Gabriel agreste has to fight Ladybug and save not only the world and the miraculous but also he’s son” but I doubt they’ll do that

Heck with the obvious Spider-verse inspiration I would have wished they would have gone through actually interesting Universes

Post apocalyptic universe in which the akumatized villain are like zombies and only the miraculous users are inmune

A world in which Queen bee got her redemption arc

A world in which Marinette got the butterfly miraculous (a fan favorite)

A world in which Marinette had the bee miraculous and Chloe the ladybug (scarlet lady reference?!)

A world in which Adrien is a Healthy teen with a happy family and nothing went wrong and nothing of the super hero related events of the series happen

A world in which the kwamis are evil and the Duo has to fight the eldritch monsters trying to take over their body’s meanwhile they try to find who is the poor man being used has a puppet by Nooroo which is trying to free the other kwamis to end the world

Chat blanc universe

A super futuristic world in which magic is dying and the villain is the order of the miraculous trying to resurrect magic even if that comes to a high price so they can keep existing and have meaning on their lives since they wasted hundreds of decades of their lives guarding the miraculous which will soon stop existing

A world in which humans don’t exist and instead the characters are creative monster designs

A world in which Marinette was bitten by a radioactive ladybug and Adrien has a eldritch horror alien goo named plagg which gives him super powers (yes like venom and Spider-Man)

A world in which Lila/Chloe and Marinette Swap places

The world of the movie!!! (which is very different from the series world might I mind you)

And the world of the comics (although the only difference I can remember is the American heroes and yes before you ask this is the comics the infamous Ghetto blaster came from)

There’s so many options yet I know they’ll only do the Evil universe trope instead of actually using the potential the world of miraculous has for parallel universes

You'd think for a special that seeks out to explore the multiverse, they'd do more than just your generic dystopian mirror universe where all the characters aren't made evil are part of some resistance faction judging from the trailer. There may be a chance that we'll get glimpses of other universes, but there's still going to be more focus on the "Re-Verse".

The idea of a world with Ladybug and Cat Noir being villains could work if you decided to focus on the circumstances that causes them to snap and turn to a life of crime (sort of like Spider-Carnage's backstory from the finale of the 90s Spider-Man cartoon), but given how the show handles the morality of its characters, there's a good chance that this universe's version of Ladybug and Cat Noir will just be evil for the sake of being evil. Either that, or the writers pull a cop-out and make them completely different characters, like Chloe and Lila.

please tell me that i wasn't the only one being uncomfortable about chloe and david's relationship in lis 2.

like, i'm not saying their relationship is inappropriate, or that i don't think chloe would reach out if she found out he was alive, or that they wouldn't manage to form an emotional bond (being two of arcadia bay's only survivors and both losing joyce price do that to you) especially considering the fact that chloe is still grateful david saved max from jefferson and stuff.

i'm saying that i'm CONVINCED chloe would never see david as a father figure. imo they exagerrated their bond in lis 2. like, c'mon, the guy is calling her ''her daughter'', not to mention he said something like ''your old man doesn't fear the cold'' or whatever in the phone call. like— bro's acting like her actual father. and while i can totally see david desperate for chloe to consider him that way (i think we'd seen a hint of that in bts) i can't see chloe going that far. she can probably have a great relationship with him (after a lot of talking, mind me), but she's not gonna call him ''dad'' either.

I have such complicated feelings on David and Chloe's Lis 2 relationship, and a lot of my thoughts line up with yours!

I'm not actually opposed to Chloe and David being on speaking terms after the storm. If you combine the facts that: A: They aren't living in the same house anymore and Joyce isn't around to enable David. Therefore, David has lost all the power he had over her. B: They were both one of the few survivors of the storm. I think it makes sense that they would reach out to each other after something so traumatic. C: They both share a grief for Joyce. D: Chloe seemed a little more open to David after she learned he saved Max. E: David seems to have pulled his shit together. Then...yeah I see why they would be in each others lives.

However, their relationship was a little much (at least in my opinion), considering a big issue in BTS and LIS is David trying to force himself into a Father role. That is a role Chloe has always been shown to hold for William, and while step-parents can be 100% a parental figure, the child in the situation needs to be open to that. And Chloe always been hesitant about the idea.

Personally, I would have preferred them to talk, but with David being more of an uncle figure than a father figure if that makes sense?? Like yeah, they're closer now, and they're a part of each other's lives, but David still isn't the Father figure he tried to force himself to be. I think it would have really shown his growth if he could have accepted that and rebuilt his relationship with Chloe outside of the "Dad" box.

That isn't what we got, but it's what I would have preferred! So, yeah, a lot of my thoughts align with yours. I'm not opposed to them speaking, but I do wish their dynamic was toned down a bit.

 🎧 A/N: I was feeling a little silly, goofy even. This idea popped into my head as I was writing some relationship headcanons but I decided to write this instead, the relationship headcanons will be out later today though probably or tomorrow. ツ (this took like 9 hours)

 🦋 Chloe Price:

  💾 An attachment to Rachel who turned out to be just really only leading her on and giving her false hope, a dead father who she keeps seeing in her brutal nightmares, an abusive stepfather who we see hit her after a certain choice and has probably hit her before on several occasions, a mother who rarely takes her side and a best friend that's dipped only to come back and not tell her.

   📼Her emotions can change in a split second from 0% to 100% almost immediately, she's seen smoking which she probably uses to drift away from reality and ease the way she feels.

  📝I think that from research and playing the game that Chloe has Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), from her trust and abandonment issues, being unable to take control of her emotions and the meltdown she had in Chaos Theory.

  🍂Kate Marsh:

 💾 Kate is so deeply traumatized by what Nathan did to her, drugging her and promising that he'll take her to a hospital (he lied to her, he's an asshole). Only for Victoria to spread a video of her kissing complete strangers for the whole school, town and her extremely religious family to see.

  📼Her room is unclean and messy, things are spread across the floor including books and clothes, when she's at her desk she looks noticeably tired with red, puffy eyes from crying. Inside her room, it's dark and her mirror is covered up (afraid to look at herself, i think she's beautiful by the way.) When she's on the roof threatening to jump, she's correct that we don't know her mother but she apparently thinks that Kate is already on her way to hell.

 📝I think from how her behaviour is in the game that she has Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) & Depression.

 💾 She's gone through hell and back, watching her best friend get shot and finding out that she has literal powers that can rewind time. Then having to rewind and save Kate's life, rewinding to stop Victoria from going to Mark Jefferson and ending up in the dark room, saving Chloe from getting killed by a train and shot by Mark, finding Rachel's dead body and ending up in the dark room herself.

  📼Max seems to be pretty socially awkward and just focuses on photography entirely, she probably struggles making friends and communicating with others.

  📝I think that Max has Social Anxiety Disorder (SAD), from her tending to avoid certain social decisions and her problems communicating with other people.   📼She's described as a huge flirt from the way she acts with Frank and Chloe but she's leading them both on at the same time, putting a huge strain on both of their relationships. Chloe's convinced that Frank is a huge creep (a little) especially since he has her bracelet but Chloe refuses to believe that Rachel would have did that to her. (going behind her back, lying to her.)

 📝Histrionic Personality Disorder (HPD), it seems to describe her and her behaviour pretty well. Her emotions, her powers , how she started a whole fucking wildfire and her very unhealthy behaviour.

 💾 The Queen Bee! It's obvious that she was born into a wealthy family due to her expensive jewellery, clothes and very expensive camera equipment. (I see why Nathan and Victoria get along, they're both rich people who slightly get on my nerves.)

  📼From what she said to Max, it's obvious that she's jealous of her and probably afraid she'll take the spotlight or her place probably. She wants to be liked, the center of attention and if she isn't then she'll have a fucking fit. (I'm gonna have a BF, a bitch fit!) It's also obvious that she's very close with Nathan and aware of his unstable behaviour, their relationship can be seen as romantic or just friends. (i don't ship them, more like brother & sister.)

 📝It says on her profile that she could possibly have Histrionic Personality Disorder (HPD), seductive behaviour, self-centeredness and constantly seeking reassurance or approval.

 💾 It's my favourite dork! He's literally 16 and in a school specifically for seniors, smart much? It's said that he probably advanced a couple grades on his profile due to him being pretty smart.

 📼He's seen a few times fidgeting around, he's literally unable to stay still apart from when he's getting his picture taken. He acts without thinking like how he beat Nathan Prescott's ass (twice) and I get the vibe he'd also struggle focusing on certain tasks.

 💾 He's a horrible person and I don't defend this man but I do feel bad for him, physically and verbally abused by his own father, used by Mark Jefferson all because he's rich and easy to manipulate. He went down all the dark paths in the world for a fucked up dickhead (i literally despise mark jefferson, i will beat his ass.)

 📼It's obvious he's mentally unstable and everyone around him knows, they just don't care except for his therapist. It's heavily implied that he suffers from paranoia, anxiety and psychosis. From his scary ass drawings and a letter from his therapist directed towards his father detailing how Nathan is `disconnected from reality`.

📝Nathan is confirmed to have Bipolar Disorder and Schizophrenia from the medicine (Risperidone, from his profile) that he takes which is used to treat both of those things. And possibly, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) which could have been brought on by the abuse he endures from his father. (i'll beat his ass as well.)

Honestly, I never would’ve thought we’d ever get to see another Life is Strange adventure featuring Max Caulfield. After the first game and the comics series, I thought that her story was complete. But… Wowser. 🦌

I have to admit, I am looking forward to playing this, and seeing how her new powers work while meeting other characters and how Max’s life has been after 10 years. I do wish Max had a deer pin on her jacket, not an owl pin. I also wanna add, it's kinda weird to see Max to use a regular digital camera instead of her iconic Polaroid camera. But the one thing I was really hoping for to see, or at least hear, in the new trailer involves a certain blue-haired rebel. 🦋

Seriously, I really wish they still had Chloe Price (voiced once more by Ashly Burch) in the upcoming game, and it just won’t be the same without the partners in time together again.

My first thought for the Save Chloe alternative; Chloe leaves town for a few days, and Max sees her off right before the start of the adventure. Maybe get a few texts and calls here and there. And when everything is said and done, Chloe comes back and when she sees Max, she realizes she’s missed out on a lot.

I could be wrong about that. But, in hindsight, maybe they shouldn’t have ended the first game deciding between Chloe and Arcadia Bay. Don’t Nod did kind of wrote themselves into a corner with that tornado.

In any case, that’s how I feel and am looking forward to it. Now how about you? What do you think about this return of Max Caulfield?

A concussed head and crushed limbs, if not completely ripped from their original homes.

Context

My pitch that has Max and Chloe saving Rachel

My pitch for Rachel's story

Kate and Victoria after The Storm. Here it would be about recovery, healing and reconnecting. We would find out Kate made it out in time before the storm. I think Kate and her family would move to Seattle and we’d have a chance for Kate and Victoria to reconnect. It would be about reconnecting, forgiveness and working through their shared trauma. Bonus points. Chasemarsh happens!

Life Is Strange:After The Storm. The game opens with how Jefferson nearly kills Victoria, but is saved by David. The game is about Victoria's struggle with returning to everyday life after her traumatic experiences with Jefferson and surviving Arcadia Bay's destruction. She goes to therapy and tries to live and manage her family's gallery. One day her life changes forever. Someone she thought dead comes back into her life. Kate Marsh. Kate and her sisters left her family's rigid religious household and moved to Seattle to live free. It's about reconnecting and recovering from their shared trauma, finding peace with what happened between them, becoming friends and finding love with each other.

Warren's story. It opens on the ending where Max sacrificed Chloe. Warren is in the chemistry class and the gunshot goes off. Everyone is freaked out and when Nathan is arrested and Chloe Price's body is hauled out. Max is still in the bathroom. Warren goes to comfort her and tells him he is here for her. Then the funeral happens. But we hear everyone's reactions to Chloe and Rachel's deaths.

It would be about Warren helping Max through the worst period in her life and helping Max live again. Warren would be Max’s angel to a same degree as to what Rachel was to Chloe. Warren would be there for Max in her mourning and grieving period and helped her move on from Chloe’s death. It could end with Warren and Max going Ape

Throughout the game Warren is there to help Max through the darkest period through her life and help Max through her grieving. We'd also get to learn about Warren as a character, why he loves science, sci-fi and has obscure interests(My pitch is Warren is the male Matilda, was neglected as a child, so he chose books and science as his passion and sci-fi and it made him feel whole.) and show why Warren loves Max.

Warren basically becomes to Max as what Rachel was for Chloe. As Kate put it "even angels need angels Max" It could end with Warren bringing Max out of her depression and helping Max live again.

Epilogue shows that ultimately showing Max living her life and moving on. Show that Max still misses Chloe, but show her living her life. And just show Max living her best life with Warren, Kate, Brooke, Dana, Daniel, Stella and Alyssa. Even show montage of a friendship with Victoria. Show Max having a tea date with Kate. Show Max Goin Ape with Warren. Max doing photoshoots with Victoria and shopping dates with Victoria, Courtney and Taylor. Max doing group projects and games with Warren, Kate, Brooke, Stella, Alyssa, and Daniel. Max being Dana’s official photographer. And show Max and her friends graduating Blackwell and living their lives in Arcadia Bay. We just needed to see that despite losing Chloe, Max is okay and that while she will hold onto the memories of Chloe, she can live. The final scene is Max and Warren visiting the Lighthouse. The Blue Butterfly appears and it touches Max and as the Butterfly flies away, Max says "Goodbye Chloe as Warren holds onto Max and shares a kiss at the Lighthouse.”

For Nathan's story, I'd like an actual look into the Prescott family, show the Prescott mansion, show Nathan and Kristine's sibling dynamic and how Nathan slowly got under his father's thumb and hey even show nicer moments with Sean since Nathan was awarded "son of the year" so much that Nathan keeps it in his dorm and how what started as a good childhood, evolved into a toxic abusive family dynamic. Then we come to Samantha.

For story purposes we choose the Nathan and Samantha ending as canon, you get to be in a relationship and Nathan loosens up and we get to see a more bright and positive Nathan and it's the story of how this all burns down and how Nathan becomes who he became in LIS 1.

There are two ways we can play this.

Sean Prescott just buys off the Myers family and Samantha gets a scholorship to a wealthy college. With Kristine and Samantha leaving him, Nathan becomes vulnerable and malleable for Sean and Jefferson's abuse and manipulation.

Samantha is the first person to be killed

Sean would most likely see Sam as a distraction in the way of Nathan and the “Prescott family destiny” so he enlists the help of his old friend Mark Jefferson.  Either Sam leaves Arcadia Bay or she becomes one of Jefferson’s first victims in Arcadia Bay. Yes, I know she is not listed as missing. But Samantha could’ve been one of the sad cases of Jefferson not caring enough to memorialize Sam in the red binders. He could’ve viewed her as a disappointment. The worst part? Nathan would be so messed up mentally and emotionally, Jefferson would’ve seized upon the opportunity to gaslight Nathan into believing he killed Sam. Also, I’ve always had this feeling that Jefferson has been doing his thing longer than the events of the game. Been going on for years. In Seattle, LA, all around the country. It’s just now with his old friend funding the Dark Room, Jefferson has the perfect set up. The tragic thing is that no one cared enough to look for her. Sam did not have someone like Chloe who cared enough to put up missing person posters. Sean would do his best to gaslight his son into making him believe that Sam left him all alone which would be perfect for Sean. Her mother would care, but knowing Sean Prescott, he will probably bribe her to keep quiet. That’s the sad thing, we don’t know how many dark room victims who went missing and those victims might be people Jefferson did not deem worthy of being a part of his collection and Samantha could very well be unfortunate enough to be a victim to die and not be remembered. Not knowing what happened to the only person who treated him with real kindness or knowing that his father is right, leads Nathan on a downward spiral, which eventually shows a scene of Sean introducing Nathan to his dear old friend Mark Jefferson. “He will help guide you to greatness and your family destiny.” Guiding Nathan to the Dark Room and the character Nathan would become in Life Is Strange.

Miraculous Ladybug and "Girl Power"

This post will not be about Marinette, as I've already gone over in previous posts of mine how I think the series lets her down in numerous different ways and if I were to add them all in here again it would overshadow everything else.

And "everything else", in this respect, involves the other female classmates and how they've all been let down in various ways by the whims of the creators and the writing team.

(Which bears worth mentioning at this point are majority male. The creator of the series is male, the main producer is male, and quite a bit of the writer's room over various years has been male.)

These various decisions in poor storytelling have led to, in some cases, the characters themselves becoming points of division within the fandom. Which also isn't something seen in other fandoms, at least not to the same extent I've witnessed in this one.

This is going to be long, so let's get going.

Alix: Ends up having to leave her class, and family, and exist "somewhere in time" until the Butterfly Miraculous is claimed back. However, since in the finale of Season 5 it gets lost again, ultimately she is gone for an undetermined length of time. Also she might become her own grandmother.

Rose: An undefined mysterious "illness" plagues her, and that it can come back at "any time", but it's not defined, therefore a Sword of Damocles is always hanging over her.

Sabrina: Essentially a slave to Chloe, shown at one point to actually be locked in a closet while being forced to do the homework of her "best friend". Is oblivious to how poorly she's being treated.

Juleka: At some point over between Seasons 3 and 4, was retconned into being the "twin" of Luka, which had the added effect of making her fail a year of school and so was held back. May or may not be in love with Rose, it's not something that will ever be properly defined.

Mylene: A character whose design incorporates her hair into rainbow dreads, which is a quagmire of appropriation.

Lila: A master manipulator that, for some reason, is able to fool various kids and adults and is able to flex between three different families. Has essentially become a caricature as her background leads to disbelief, and has been chosen to be the future Hawkmoth on top of that all.

Alya: Due to choices made when meeting Lila and with the continuation of believing certain things said by her, over Marinette, and also for various choices made while being a hero, Alya's position in the fandom has turned out to be divisive enough that "Alya Salt" is a genre of fanfiction on AO3.

Chloe: Originally on the road to redemption, things took a turn during Season 3 and ultimately Chloe paid the price of decisions made behind the scenes. Presented as even more evil than Hawkmoth, her future is one of being stuck with her abusive mother.

Zoe: Introduced in Season 4, Zoe is Chloe's sister and "replacement", in more ways than one. Not only does she get the Bee Miraculous, she also gets Chloe's biological father. Also has a crush on Marinette and it's actually shown in the show before Marinette lets her down gently as nothing can get in the way of the Love Square.

Kagami: Stuck alongside another abusive parent who disregards her artistic talent despite being blind, Kagami is eventually revealed to be a Sentimonster and will be in a relationship with a person who has shown to be disrespectful, and also said pairing came out of nowhere.

That's just a short list, and again it doesn't include everything with Marinette.

“are you dumb?” max questioned

“are you?” chloe questioned back with a smirk

“if you wanna fuck then we can go in your room, i’m not doing it in the place where people cook” max said, her nose still bleeding slightly. chloe just blinked at what her girlfriend said. “fine let’s go to my room then.” chloe replied.
