This is a photo captures the essence of people that call themselves “christians”. They pray to their savior but are petty hypocrites who care more about themselves than the poor, the weak, the other…

If you're asking "why are western christians not condemning the bombing of palestinian churches?!" I would highly recommend researching and reading up on the term "Biblical Orientalism"; it's the same reason European and American missionaries have attempted to "convert" the already Christian Arab population.
If you've already figured out that the answer is racism, you'd be right, but I would still recommend reading about biblical orientalism if only to fully understand this specific flavor of racism, how it affects Christian Palestinians, and how it is weaponized in the context of Zionism.

the way the fandom IMMEDIATELY jumps to saint iconography and comparison for Alicent (Mater Dolorosa, etc) actually says A Lot about the church’s reductive view of female sexuality and agency. It says A Lot about Christianity in general. Like I know she’s Westerosi Catholic so your mind jumps to that comparison but…

“The “unborn” are a convenient group of people to advocate for. They never make demands of you; they are morally uncomplicated, unlike the incarcerated, addicted, or the chronically poor; they don’t resent your condescension or complain that you are not politically correct; unlike widows, they don’t ask you to question patriarchy; unlike orphans, they don’t need money, education, or childcare; unlike aliens, they don’t bring all that racial, cultural, and religious baggage that you dislike; they allow you to feel good about yourself without any work at creating or maintaining relationships; and when they are born, you can forget about them, because they cease to be unborn.
You can love the unborn and advocate for them without substantially challenging your own wealth, power, or privilege, without re-imagining social structures, apologizing, or making reparations to anyone. They are, in short, the perfect people to love if you want to claim you love Jesus, but actually dislike people who breathe.
Prisoners? Immigrants? The sick? The poor? Widows? Orphans? All the groups that are specifically mentioned in the Bible? They all get thrown under the bus for the unborn.”
Methodist Pastor David Barnhart

I'm preaching to the choir here, I know, but I don't think I'm ever going to stop being baffled by tradwives/tradwife adjacent women who run for political office. Girl, you are basically gunning for a world where women aren't allowed to vote? Why are you stupid enough to think that somehow excludes you??
Oh there's a name for that phenomenon that is escaping me rn...... it's the same reason ultra conservative male politicians will be outspokenly anti-choice but think it's ok to get their daughters, wives, and mistresses abortions if needed. It's this "I Am The Exception" kind of thinking.
I guess they are motivated by pure narcissism, money, or some combination of the two and not real "moral" stances.

Over and over again, I've seen Christians of all denominations and walks of life make gross generalizations of outsiders of their religion flippantly but lose their minds if those same outsiders dare to generalize Christians and Christianity. There's such a double standard where Christians can treat and speak about non-Christians however they wish but non-Christians must take heed of Christians' fragile egos and feelings or else.
