His Forbidden Fruit

My first official post, ooh how fun! This isn't very long and kind of all over the place, but I wanted to get something out. This wasn't written with a specific Link in mind, so use the Link of your choice!

There were so many things wrong. Wrong, wrong, wrong. And he hated it. No, he didn't hate it. That wasn't a strong enough word. This was far more than a simply hatred. He loathed it in all actuality. Loathed the world around him and how unfair it was to his sweet, darling beloved. They were too pure for this world. Too good.

It wasn't fair. He and his soul brothers were the heroes of Courage. Not them. Never them. They were sculpted to sit and be idolized, worshipped. To have the ground they graced with their steps kissed. Something he would gladly do. Which is why it wasn't fair. It wasn't fair, It Wasn't Fair, IT WASN'T FAIR, IT WASN'T FAIR-

He was going to tear his hair out at this point.

Oh, how he wished to go back and save them from this fate. To put down his own life before they had to even think about putting down theirs. But then, they would've never met. And how could he live without them when they were the very reason he ate, slept, fought, breathed. Perhaps, then, it wasn't as unfair as he originally thought. Because meeting you was such a blessing. A blessing in this unfair and cruel adventure were he was tossed around like a child's ragdoll.

But, oh, how he loathed the fact that you had to stain you're pure, satin hands with the blood of the unworthy. How you had to lay your blade down on the unworthy cretin that crossed your path. How you had to step up, play the hero of your world when you should've been kept safe. Safe and sound somewhere where no one could hurt you.

...Wasn't that thought? Taking you somewhere, some place, only he knew about. He was a well traveled individual. He knew of places not even maps that covered the ever-changing lands from centuries ago ever noted. It would take while, but he could take the bits you had explained of your world and build your dream house, just for you and him.

ONLY you and him.

He could see it now, coming home to you, cooking, maybe cleaning, humming to yourself before lighting up as soon as you saw him. Jumping to his arms, your weight familiar and comforting as you clung to him. The feeling of your arms clinging around him as you pressed your lips, plump and delicious, to his own, welcoming him back. How he would wrap his own arms around your hips, gently rocking you back a few steps as his smirk pressed harder against your own lips. The curve of your backside as his fingers dared to venture further and the cute little gasp you would give, giving him the opportunity needed to slip his tongue-

He shook his head. This line of thought was dangerous. Tantalizingly so. Almost like you were. Because that's what you were, weren't you? The Forbidden Fruit, dripping with juice and shining in the light of your halo, simply asking him to take a bite. To taint you. To absolute corrupt your once pure soul. To blemish and tarnish your once pristine skin with bite marks and marks that bloomed an almost grotesque mix blue and purple-- his own signature lipstick meant for your skin alone.

He wanted to ruin you.

His precious forbidden fruit, tempting him away from the way of Hylia. One he was all to willing to stray from if it mean keeping an eye on you and only you.

If only you would let him get his forbidden bite, let him fall for your ways completely and wholly.

Because he would do so blindly if it meant falling for you.

Comments: Purchased as a mate for Mazeras; she has his primary and secondary colours, reversed, and a good secondary.

I was extremely amused after purchasing her when I scrolled down and noticed she had a bio layout. One my past hatchling bio layouts. Yup, she’s one of my own hatchlings, gone out into the world and come home again (though that home was in Wind when she was born, and is now in Nature). If I wrote lore for my dragons, hers would probably be epic.

She and Mazeras, who was a low-ID scatterscroll project, were at the head of the line to be re-gened whenever a new ancient or modern breed next cropped up, which turned out to be veilspun. 

After regening to veilspun and a couple of clutches, I’ve decided I didn’t like how bright-vivid worked on their hatchlings, and have regened her again.

And now with the release of cinder-blaze for veilspun, I've decided she needs yet another regeneing, and that I might as well change her runes tert to the recently released carnivore as well.

Sharma is the name she came home with.

I offer some cute (and platonic) Wind content:

Obviously since he's a kid, Wind cant do what the other members of the chain do when it comes to spending time with Reader. Its unlikely that he even knows what goes on behind closed doors or secluded areas.

But he still wants Reader's attention so how does he do it? Simple. Sneak by and steal them away while everyone else is competing for their romantic affections.

In a cold area and the adults are fighting over who gets to snuggle with Reader near the fire place? Wind's challenging Reader to a snowball fight or sledding race.

Just arrived at an inn and theres debate on who Reader rooms with? Wind's getting them to catch fireflies in any empty bottles they have.

After all, Reader is probably one of the few people that let Wind be the kid that he is so why not return the favor? Though Reader is older surely they want times where they can have their inner child come out. That's what Wind can do and nobody else can.

And should any of the adults notice and try to protest (cause theyd probably get a bit jealous) all Wind has to do is go "And whats so important that I cant do this one little game with Reader?" knowing the answer will be extremely vague if whoever protests can even think of an answer.

Long story short: Wind is just as sneaky as the other members of the chain and will use the fact that he's a cute kid to his advantage.

Wind can get away with a lot more than the chain can bc Reader probably doesn't see him as part of the chain cult at first. And he's taking full advantage of it. while he is a kid, he isn't stupid. He doesn't know what goes on behind closed door, but it's probably less because he's blind to it and more because he doesn't wanna know. As long as he's getting his share of attention, who cares.

And he's using his age to get it. They can have the romantic affections, he doesn't care, but he's sure as shit using his status as the youngest to take Reader's time.

Oh the adults are fighting? That's cute. Wind already has a whole fort built and the only one allowed is Reader. Sucks for them. Wind for sure sleeps in Reader's lap just to piss off the others. And bc its comfy <3.

Oh, they wanna room with Reader? Reader doesn't need a room if they're outside, sleeping under the stars with Wind!

Idk if I mentioned this here or in my personal writing and I've finally gone delulu, but Wind is an older sibling. And, as an older sibling myself (Eldest daughter syndrome lets goo), to some extent your parents relied/ rely on you. I was my parents trial baby (my parents were teen parents if that clarifies). We learned and grew together. So Wind probably had to learn and grow with Aryll. He had to care for her when Granny could now. He grew up much too fast as both a sibling and when he was made into a hero. So when Reader lets him be the younger one?

He's clawing at the chance. Especially if it means taking away time from the others for time with him.
