Obviously since he's a kid, Wind cant do what the other members of the chain do when it comes to spending time with Reader. Its unlikely that he even knows what goes on behind closed doors or secluded areas.

But he still wants Reader's attention so how does he do it? Simple. Sneak by and steal them away while everyone else is competing for their romantic affections.

In a cold area and the adults are fighting over who gets to snuggle with Reader near the fire place? Wind's challenging Reader to a snowball fight or sledding race.

Just arrived at an inn and theres debate on who Reader rooms with? Wind's getting them to catch fireflies in any empty bottles they have.

After all, Reader is probably one of the few people that let Wind be the kid that he is so why not return the favor? Though Reader is older surely they want times where they can have their inner child come out. That's what Wind can do and nobody else can.

And should any of the adults notice and try to protest (cause theyd probably get a bit jealous) all Wind has to do is go "And whats so important that I cant do this one little game with Reader?" knowing the answer will be extremely vague if whoever protests can even think of an answer.

Long story short: Wind is just as sneaky as the other members of the chain and will use the fact that he's a cute kid to his advantage.

Wind can get away with a lot more than the chain can bc Reader probably doesn't see him as part of the chain cult at first. And he's taking full advantage of it. while he is a kid, he isn't stupid. He doesn't know what goes on behind closed door, but it's probably less because he's blind to it and more because he doesn't wanna know. As long as he's getting his share of attention, who cares.

And he's using his age to get it. They can have the romantic affections, he doesn't care, but he's sure as shit using his status as the youngest to take Reader's time.

Oh the adults are fighting? That's cute. Wind already has a whole fort built and the only one allowed is Reader. Sucks for them. Wind for sure sleeps in Reader's lap just to piss off the others. And bc its comfy <3.

Oh, they wanna room with Reader? Reader doesn't need a room if they're outside, sleeping under the stars with Wind!

Idk if I mentioned this here or in my personal writing and I've finally gone delulu, but Wind is an older sibling. And, as an older sibling myself (Eldest daughter syndrome lets goo), to some extent your parents relied/ rely on you. I was my parents trial baby (my parents were teen parents if that clarifies). We learned and grew together. So Wind probably had to learn and grow with Aryll. He had to care for her when Granny could now. He grew up much too fast as both a sibling and when he was made into a hero. So when Reader lets him be the younger one?

He's clawing at the chance. Especially if it means taking away time from the others for time with him.

1a girls monopolize shouto time when they're on their periods because he's a personal heat pack but can also keep them from getting too warm. it is not at all uncommon to see shouto with his hand on one of the girls' lower stomachs to ease cramps in the dorms. because of this they're all really close to each other so he's always invited to their girls night. he really likes when they do his hair or paint his nails during those nights where they all pamper him like he does them. just. shouto being close friends with people outside his usual group <3333 he deserves the world. also whenever he's not around when they need a personal heater, momo will make heating packs and give the girls massages because she's the best class mom anyone could ask for

little drabble about Pandora and Regulus' friendship

"And what's this one?" Pandora lifts her head from regulus' chest to look at the small flower he's holding before her

"A buttercup, you know that." she drops her head back and digs her feet into the grass "there the little flowers that tell you whether you like butter or not" she rolls her eyes a bit a the myth because it isn't even creative

"Maybe, but I won't know for sure until I ask you, beside we both know thats just some fairy tale" Pandora sighs contently at that because regulus' comfort towards pandoras honesty and inability to handle fake things is nice

most people get annoyed that Pandora has little interest in pretending that silly stories are real or in telling people lies for their own comfort. Regulus doesn't, though. Regulus likes pandoras honesty because "very few people are truly honest." They balance each other, that's why they work so perfectly because Pandora can be honest and Regulus can handle it with grace

Pandora runs her hand softly down towards her leg until she finds Regulus' hand and intertwines their fingers. She leans her head back looking up at the blue sky and the willow tree above them

It's quite for a minute the sound of regulus' breathing and his chest rising and falling the only disturbance

eventually, she hears the grass ruffle, and then a quiet voice asks, " And what about this one?"

Echo and Crosshair headcanons because I need more in my life: (I know we don't see those two interact a whole lot, but bro. I have thoughts. Hear me out.)

Crosshair was the first one of the batch to want Echo to join. He was the first to bring it up to Hunter. I have a feeling he talked to Echo after they initially rescued him. Probably to comment on how he fought well, and to check to see if he was okay after all of that.

It took Echo a little bit to realize that Crosshair is not being mean to him because he hates him. Once he recognizes that Crosshair is bullying him because that is how he shows love he gets a lot more accepting of it. He bullies Crosshair back. That is when Crosshair knows that they're getting along.

Sometimes Echo and Cross sit in silence next to each other when one of them is having a bad day. Sometimes they lean on each other for comfort. Sometimes they don't. But they both know why it’s happening.

They make fun of each other (affectionately). They have each accidentally hurt the other's feelings, though. They find ways to make it up to each other.

The first time Echo hugs him Crosshair goes "gross" before tightly hugging Echo back. I think that's unbearably cute to think about.

They get drunk together on a night when neither of them can sleep and Hunter wakes up only to find them both sitting on the floor of the cockpit with a few empty bottles between them. Giggling. Like children. He can't even be mad at them for waking him up.
