I read your post about Ayato overhype and I 200% agree with you and appreciate you for writing it. I also read that other person's Ayato analysis and I just gotta say that that cursed fig defense is so dumb. First off that shit wasn't a thing when More Blood came out. It's not mentioned or referenced even once in any route. Because why would it be? It wasn't even thought of when the first games came out. Second even if it were a thing and Ayato truly was cursed, then why doesn't he experience the effects of the curse in any routes apart from his More Blood one (and, according to this particular Ayato stan, Ruki's)? Why doesn't he go crazy from thirst in Kou's route? Or in Subaru's? Or in Shuu's? etc etc. Also, if the curse is truly that excrutiating and debilitating then shouldn't Ayato be a complete and utter mess in the other characters Dark Fate, Lost Eden etc. routes? But he's not. He's totally fine. Because the stupid curse isn't canon to the games and you can not and should not use it to explain or justify his awful behavior in Ruki's MB route.

the curse didn't even exist at that time. it was just Rejet's plot to progress Ruki's route because if we remember, Ruki asked Ayato, before he took away Yui, if he had feelings for her and ayato replied with, feelings??? that's nonsense, the only value she has is her blood. It was a scene of confirmation to make Ruki realise his feelings and stop thinking "Adam is what she needs and not a snake" so that he can finally betray Karlheinz for Yui and run away with her, free her from this hell.

no, the Sakamaki's never lived in Romania. there may be some confusion because the castle they grew up in was very westernised in terms of its design, but it's been clearly stated in multiple games (DF, LE, CL) that the Sakamaki's grew up in the demon world.

the demon world has its own native language, and from Yuma's DF we know that this language has its own unique alphabet which he couldn't read. some of the Sakamaki's know other languages, but they moved from the demon world to Japan. they never lived in Romania.

the only Sakamaki who has been to Romania as a child was Shu. when he ran away from home, he ended up in a portal which took him to Romania. rejet never quite explained this to us but it was clear that he went FROM the demon world to Romania which is where he met Edgar. i have no idea how Shu was able to speak to Edgar but to be honest i highly doubt that rejet thought about it that far.

the Mukami's all grew up in Romanian, but the Sakamaki's did not. hope that's clear now!

Storm Atronach - CR8 Elemental

A type of elemental based on Elder Scrolls.

I like designing elementals with more variety, especially ones that do more than just melee attacks. I don't think the types of elementals on every elemental plane need to be symmetrical, but I did make a few different elements of atronachs, based on the common ones that appear in the Elder Scrolls series - the flame atronach and the frost atronach are the other two.

Atronachs are elementals that are more likely than others to willingly lend their services to creatures from other planes. This includes not only mortal summoners, but also other outsiders who might recruit them to their cause, which the atronachs align themselves with according to opportunity, fancy and circumstance. Although they originate from the elemental planes, they have the ability to travel the planes freely, and many seem driven to seek out a purpose in their existence.

Storm atronachs are merging of earth and air elements; an unusual combination, as these are opposite elements. They have some traits of lightning elementals.

Storm Atronach - CR 8

This 8 foot tall swirling tornado of rocks manages to maintain its pieces in a roughly humanoid shape. The stones, with arcane patterns carved into them, are connected by tethers of lightning.

SPECIAL ABILITIES

Impending Storm (Su) As a 1-round action, a storm atronach can charge up a massive blast of electricity by holding one of its arms toward the sky and building up an electrical charge in its hand, then release the blast at the start of its next turn by slamming its hand into the ground. This sends out 5 globes of electricity from its location in 5 different directions, no two of which can be closer than 45 degrees to each other. These globes of electricity function like the ball lightning spell (DC 18) except that the storm atronach cannot direct them; when Impending Storm is used, and again at the start of each of the storm atronach's turns, they automatically move in straight lines away from the location where the storm atronach used Impending Storm. The globes of electricity last for 5 rounds or until they strike a solid surface that they cannot penetrate.

If a storm atronach takes damage during the 1-round use time of Impending Storm, the ability is interrupted unless the storm atronach succeeds on a concentration check (typically +10) with a DC equal to 10 plus half the damage dealt.

Metal Mastery (Ex) A storm atronach gains a +3 bonus on attack rolls if its opponent is wearing metal armor, is wielding a metal weapon, or is made of metal (such as an iron golem).

Shocking Aura (Su) A storm atronach is surrounded by a 10 ft. aura of electricity. At the start of the storm atronach's turn, this aura deals 2d8 electricity damage to creatures within the area, staggers them, and causes them to drop anything held in their hands. A DC 18 Fortitude save halves the damage and negates the staggering and the dropping effects. This is an electricity effect. The save DC is Constitution-based.

I know that shu ain't a angel, like degrading yui and stuff but he does have many good qualities. Like how he supports his brothers from sidelines. How he can't come to hate his brother and father. He wants nothing to do with inheriting throne but want to live quiet with his s/o. Can you write some good shu appreciation post like how he does some nice things in games like sacrificing himself to save Edgar, helping ayato in his CL route. I know that others games are a au to you but can you write some good shu appreciation ❤️

I completely understand. The fact we highlight his "wrongs" is simply because a few good actions here and there shouldn't be enough to excuse someone's life of bad deeds.

But, as with many things in life, Shu is not 100% bad or 100% good. He showed to be a supportive brother even in HDB -, when he blessed Subaru's escape with his S/O wishing him. Wishing him well and such.

Shu also offers Reiji his support and recognizes him (Shu vs Reiji CD). He defended his brothers more than once. That is undoubtful.

Chaos Lineage is, like, the biggest proof of it. I'll sure make an appreciation post for Shu to put in the spotlight his good deeds!

¿Alguna vez habéis pensado en lo útil que resulta Reiji-san como defensa del resto de sus sádicos hermanos?

¡Hola! Soy Yui Komori y en este manual os mostraré situaciones en las cuales os podréis salvar de alguna situación incómoda o mordida con la intervención del segundo hijo de la familia Sakamaki.

Lo primero de todo, nuestra propia habitación. Este lugar es clave para poner en práctica el libro. Mi habitación es de tonos rosas y bastante grande, y aún así muchas veces me siento acorralada cuando recibo visitas sorpresa de los vampiros (en especial de Ayato-kun y Laito-kun, quienes "vienen a despertarme" casi cada mañana). En esta situación y cuando están a punto de morderme, comienzo a hacer pequeños quejidos que van incrementando el volumen, puesto que Reiji-san no tolera los ruidos y sonidos fuertes.

Entonces es cuando entra sin que el dúo de hermanos pueda continuar con su cometido:

—Ayato, Laito, este no es el momento para llevar acabo vuestras actividades. Ir a cambiaros ahora mismo.

—Mierda Reiji, siempre nos interrumpes en el mejor momento. ¡Chichinashi eres muy ruidosa!

—Sí~Bitch-chan, últimamente estás muy sensible... así no hay manera de chuparte la sangre.

Y así es como me libro de una "mordida de buena mañana".

Otro problema que suelo tener es en el cuarto de baño dentro de mi habitación. A Shu-san le gusta mucho bañarse ahí, incluso con la ropa puesta, y ya me pasó una vez que entré estando él y acabé con la ropa mojada más una extracción de sangre de por medio.

He notado que Shu-san y Reiji-san no se llevan muy bien. Reiji-san siempre está buscando una excusa para soltar su odio contra él, así que cuando noto que Shu-san me ha vuelto a ocupar la bañera, se lo comento para que acuda a sacarlo de ahí:

—¿De verdad Shu, eso es a lo que te dedicas, a robarles a los huéspedes su tiempo para bañarse y relajarse? Como era de esperarse de un bueno para nada.- le espeta el azabache desde el otro lado de la puerta.

—Hmm, me acabas de despertar...solamente quería dormir un poco. Qué pereza...

Y desapareció, y al fin pude tomarme un baño de agua caliente.

Otra de las situaciones en las que he observado que me puedo proteger gracias a Reiji-san es en lo referente a las comidas.

Cuando estoy cocinando, algunas veces llega Kanato-kun con hambre de postres o algo dulce en general y sí no se lo hago rápido, acaba chupando mi sangre. La clave aquí es la colección de vajillas de Reiji-san. Si le pido que tenga cuidado con ella, automáticamente aparecerá el azabache interrumpiendo al cuarto hijo de la familia Sakamaki:

—¡Kanato! Ten mucho cuidado con mi colección de vajillas, es muy delicada.

—¡¡Cállate!! ¡Me estoy muriendo de hambre y nadie hace nada al respecto!.- el de pelo violeta comenzó a llorar.

—¡No te pongas a llorar! Eso no solucionará las cosas...

Mientras ellos dos discuten, poco a poco me voy yendo de la cocina librándome una vez más de alguna mordida(si es que Kanato-kun no me busca luego...).

En fin, en lo referente a las comidas familiares mensuales, también se da esta protección por parte de Reiji-san. Recuerdo una vez que Laito-kun se levantó de la silla en plena cena para empezar a incomodarme y decirme cosas no muy apropiadas:

—Apenas te he visto probar bocado Bitch-chan~ te dará anemia al final.- empecé a notar cosquillas en mi oído.— ¿O quieres qué te la dé yo~? Te prometo que te haré sentir muy bien...

—¡Laito! Es de muy mala educación levantarse de la mesa mientras estamos comiendo.- le reniega el mayor.

—Oh~vaya, que maleducado por mi parte.- procede a susurrarme en el oído.— Seguiremos más tarde Bitch-chan~.

Aunque Laito-kun sea luego muy persistente, almenos me pude librar de él en esa ocasión.

Hasta ahora, os he hablado de situaciones dentro de la mansión, pero en el instituto también puedo acudir a la ayuda de Reiji-san de vez en cuando, puesto que no es que le guste mucho que sus hermanos vayan chupando la sangre al resto de estudiantes.

Hubo una vez que no tuve tanta suerte. Al ir a la misma clase, ¡a Ayato-kun se le antoja en más de una ocasión el chuparme la sangre en plena hora de clases!

Muchas veces lo consigue de hecho y la cosa queda ahí. Sin embargo, hubo una ocasión en la que quiso ir más allá:

—Hey Chichinashi, ¿puede ser que nunca antes hayas hecho "eso"?.- me agarra por detrás.

— ¿El qué?.- intento zafarme de su agarre pero me agarra más fuerte y comienza a subirme la falda.

—Ja-ja creo que ya sé la respuesta a mi pregunta.

De repente oigo la puerta abrirse y veo a mi "vampiro protector" por así decirlo:

—No puedo creer que hagas este tipo de cosas en la academia, tan inaceptable...

—¡Maldito cuatro ojos! Joder, ni en un lugar como este puedo escaparme de tu control. Ni que fueras el "viejo".

—Por mí continuar, adelante.- le reta el de gafas al pelirrojo.

— Pues ahora ya no me apetece, me has cortado el rollo.

Y Ayato-kun procedió a irse por la puerta.

¡De verdad qué gracias Reiji-san! Hasta de situaciones como esta me has salvado, en eso te estoy agradecida. Después de todo, no eres tan malo como parece.

PD: Subaru-kun es el menos problemático de todos^^

大家好! Over the weekend, I had my second simple breakfast out of compassion for starving Palestinians in Gaza. This time, I opened a can of button mushrooms and devoured everything within minutes; I was so hungry after exercise. Then, it was on to Grace's and Douglas' home for their huang jiu ji mian (yellow wine chicken noodles). A steaming huge bowl heaped with noodles drenched in divine broth and topped with chicken as well as ginger omelette had me salivating immediately. Because it was raining heavily, this meal was not only delicious, but very comforting too. Ginger pairs very well with rice wine and chicken and you can just imagine what it does to the broth. Let's just say I was stuffed to the brim and also very happy.

We WFH on Mondays and Tuesdays so I had another simple breakfast because until there's a permanent ceasefire, Gaza will remain on my mind. I chose kuai shu mian (instant noodles) in salted egg flavour, a collaboration between our local brand specialising in salted egg potato chips, Irwin, and Nissin. Mmmmmmm! I added more water to make mine soupy, but the flavour may be more potent when eaten dry. If you see this wherever you are in the world, you need to try it. For the record, I'm not paid anything to say this; I just really like the taste. I'll so buy this again next time!

A strong craving for shao ya mian (roasted duck noodles) sent me dashing to a nearby hawker centre for some. I'd requested for duck breast, which was served with blanched bak choy and QQ noodles in a gorgeous old-school printed plate. A small bowl of flavourful radish broth completed the meal. Hawkers whip up their dishes once queues start to form at their stalls; they don't have time for artsy fartsy plating. The vibrant crockery colours made my meal visually appetising in the least time-consuming way.

Speaking of pretty crockery, MI, CL, SC, ML and I caught up over lunch and look at the dish my zha jiang mian (pork noodles in bean sauce) was served in! CL ordered from the same stall and both of us agreed that they got the noodle texture down pat - SO QQ! They also had the sauce to mian ratio just right; it coated all the noodles, but wasn't too salty. This was so good, it set off a HUGE craving for zha jiang mian, so you'll be seeing it in future posts, at least until my craving is satisfied. I'll try different stalls' versions to see which ones I prefer.

Much has happened in Gaza since last week; I don't even know where to begin. Suffice to say that several countries have condemned Israel's murderous strikes in Rafah which resulted in many innocent Palestinian deaths. Some were burnt alive when tents in a humanitarian area designated as a safe zone by Israel caught fire. Meanwhile, the US chose to spend millions to build a floating pier to distribute humanitarian aid to Gaza when they could simply stop arming Israel. Well, that pier broke apart and repairs will reportedly take some time. Erm, this was built by the military, right? Is this what they're capable of? 下次见!

I like Yui as MC but sometimes she confuses me so much. Like, she’s so obsessed with Ayato all the time but when they start dating, she always underestimates him and empathizes more with others then with him when it’s his routes.

I think that’s part of his charm though. He seems dumb and careless, but he’s actually full of surprises. For example, in YB, Shu said something like: “Yeah, I used that guy as bait because he’s too dumb to find information so as to help us find the fig”, but then Ayato proceeds to find the fig by himself and not only once, but TWICE. Or, in LP, when Ayato started decorating crepes and Yui was like: “Oh no, they won’t like this!”, yet a bunch of people started asking for his creation. I also liked the scene, in which Ruki spent time trying to solve something, but Ayato gave the correct answer before him; and so on.

It’s natural for players to feel bad for him in the game, but the characters don’t expect him to be capable of many things. That’s why it’s really funny seeing him succeed and leaving everyone speechless.

I wouldn't say Yui empathizes more with other guys than with Ayato when it comes to his routes, but she occasionally takes him for granted because of familiarity or fails to notice certain aspects about him. Nonetheless, in CL, she may not have defended Ayato when others made him feel bad, but she did realize her mistake when he began speaking negatively about himself. That is why she started to stand up for him and cheer him up.

I genuinely want your opinion about this post, because I totally agree with your post, and thought this other one was a bit rude.

dw, english is not my first language too so it's okay also you are not being rude. and yeah just like I said some people hate the "overhype" not Ayato hit this Ayato stans still convert it into ayato hate and start giving various reasons to prove their point. just like in this post. it's like if we go through other boys' contents more deeply like they did with Ayato, then we'll also find a lot of growth, development and plus traits in other characters. but nah they just wanna paint it on Ayato.

if we talk about Ayato forgiving Cordelia because he still hoped she got her feelings reciprocated, then Yuma forgiving Reiji is way more major and heavy, because we all know how bad Mukamis' experience was. and if Reiji wouldn't have burned down his whole village, Yuma wouldn't have ended on city streets, with memory loss and then you guys know the rest. orphanage was one of the most terrifying hell for them because of the war (and it's sad how it was so true) yet Yuma forgave Reiji and even wished for his happiness with Yui.

Reiji also had one of the biggest developments. he was someone with ambition but ignored and cast aside by never receiving his mother's acknowledgement. yet after meeting Yui he grew so much like, in Shu's LE route, he literally sacrificed himself to protect Yuma because he was guilty and even though Yuma already said he forgave him a long time ago why he did it, Reiji said no matter how many times Yuma forgave him, it wouldn't rid him off of his guilt and past actions. also he:

this is not even his own route! but Shu's DF route yet look at my boy. proof that Ayato is not the only one who is compassionate out of his route. and same goes for Mukami brothers, be it Sakamaki, their own family or even Tsukinami's route they are compassionate and that's really a big deal because after what happened to them, they laugh at things like "humanity" because nobody showed them such yet look at them in later games.

In other words, yes there are many reasons for Ayato stans to make Ayato the main hero because Rejet said it so but please stop putting other characters in the background, casting them aside like they didn't have it rough and are NOTHING compared to Ayato's sufferings and compassion. all of them had different environment. even triplets, ayato, laito and kanato were mistreated differently. and Laito only pushed away Ayato because of what Cordelia did to him, and remember, among vampires there is nothing like humanity and compassion that's why Laito never expected anything from any of his brothers and pushed Ayato away too. ALSO AYATO SAID IT HIMSELF IN LAITO'S DF THAT LAITO HAD IT WORSE FROM CORDELIA.

Yes Ayato probably killed Cordelia to protect his younger brothers + also what she did to him, and I really like that about him. but that didn't mean other characters didn't do anything. Carla sacrificed Shin's eye instead of giving up on his brother's life even if it meant Shin will hate him for his whole life but at least that'll still keep his little brother alive.

Ayato realised Karlheinz is the root of evil, so did Shu a long time ago but everyone have their OWN way with dealing things, and Shu just wanted a peaceful life with Yui that's why he never tried to ever mention his father or tried to face him head on. it was difficult for Mukamis to accept Karlheinz evil because he was their saviour yet they still took courage and betrayed him for the sake of evil. Reiji likes his father but in his CL good end, even he was speechless and finally had enough of his father's Adam and eve plan, rejecting the throne and taking Yui away.

But Laito mentioned in HDB (Maniac 7) to Richter that they used to live in Eastern Europe a.k.a referring to Romania and was talking about returning there. The Sakamaki’s first lived in Romania in the Human World then were sent back to the Demon World and then after some time to Japan to find Yui because in Laito’s HDB it’s said how Yui was found in Romania but her dad returned to Japan after he got a daughter (Maniac 8). And in Reiji’s HDB Ecstasy Epilogue, Richter says:

I never thought that hunter would succeed in fleeing to this foreign, far-off land behind my back!

That foreign country was Japan, so wouldn’t that mean they all used to live in Romania at some point?

i see what you're saying, and yes it's very strongly implied that Yui is Romanian and that Yui was found in Romanian and then taken to Japan. but the Sakamaki's aren't, and i see your point, but let me explain why there's contradictory evidence.

so in maniac 07, it's translated as "That being said, when we return to Eastern Europe, those pesky hunters are lurking around" which doesn't necessarily mean they LIVED in or grew up in Romania. but even if that IS what they mean, it's important to remember that HDB and MB to CL are sort of separate? when rejet wrote HDB, they didn't think that it'd become such a big franchise. MB starts from basically where HDB starts in terms of character development, whereas games like DF and LE follow on from each other, meaning these are the games which really "matter" in terms of canon lore.

putting the rest under the cut bc it's long and there's also some minor game spoilers.

because of this, there's things which don't make sense in HDB in the context of the rest of the game. there's much more clear evidence that they grew up in the demon world. you need to consider the demon world as its own country, because it is. well, it's its own world. we learn a ton about the demon world in VC and LP, such as the vampires having their own customs, societies, and even landmarks. like i said before, they even have their own language! so when Richter says Seiji fled to a foreign land (aka Japan), that doesn't actually tell us anything about whether the Sakamaki's lived there.

even if it was "from" Romania, like i said, this lore does not follow from MB onwards. it's stated many, many times that the Sakamaki's grew up in the demon world castle and THEN got sent to Japan to find Yui, such as the panel i showed you last time.

in Yuma's dark fate, we see a tunnel which is a portal from Romania to the demon world, in which Shu wrote "ririe" which is his true name in the demon world script. meaning Shu was travelling TO Romania as a kid, not living there.

in Laito's dark fate when they all move back to the demon world, he states that being here brings back bad memories because they grew up there and that's where he has bad memories with Cordelia. other routes in DF imply the same thing; the Sakamaki's don't like being in their demon world castle because it's where all their childhood trauma is from.

this theme follows throughout LE, where everyone moves back to the demon world castle and expresses being uncomfortable. what's also funny to me is in Kino's CL, whereby Kino was collecting pictures of the demon world castle to gather info about the Sakamaki's. he then uses these pictures in the CL miniature world to remind the Sakamaki's of their childhood in order to get their memories back.

like i said before, it's best to consider the demon world as its own world and its own country. Japan is a foreign land to them, and it's best to take the information from MB to CL as canon rather than oddly specific things said in HDB, because a lot of HDB lore gets switched up once rejet realised this was going to be a multi-game series.

TL;DR- there's much, much more evidence in the games which follow each other that the Sakamaki's grew up in the demon world and then relocated to Japan. Yui is most likely Romanian, the Mukami's are Romanian and grew up there, but the Sakamaki's are not Romanian and did not grow up there.
