I am also tired and a tad dispirited in general, so the only WIP I am putting any real effort into these days is Unscathed, and I haven't started on the 9th chapter yet, due to lack of time. There is also the Truth fic, but the ship there is so niche and self-indulgent that I am a tad embarrassed to share it. But! Going through my files I found a long abandoned WIP so why not, let at least parts of it see the world 😁

Shen Wei's eyes meet Kunlun's and his lips confess without thinking: 

"I didn't even dare to hope to meet you again." 

An odd warmth flickers in Kunlun's gaze at Shen Wei's words, a warmth Shen Wei himself cannot explain but yearns to see directed at himself once more. 

"If you manage to stay in the contest, I will be glad to see you tomorrow. And the day after that. For as long as I can," Kunlun says quietly. Shen Wei's throat feels dry.

"I will. I wish for that as well."

The rules forbid him from leaving his quarters outside of the examinations, but Shen Wei's magic burns inside him, demanding him to seek the mysterious stranger out, to follow him even now. His magic feels stronger when he is with Kunlun.

These are all BBC Sherlock and if not outright Johnlock, it’s implied. Confessions, developing relationships, and first kisses are common tags in my stories, just sayin’.

Most Hits/Kudos/Comments/Bookmarks: Never Trust to General Impressions, a 5+1 in which John uncovers hidden facets of Sherlock as he gets to know the man and moves from fascination to fondness, and ultimately love. He discovers he doesn’t know everything, however, but Sherlock is there to show him what he's missed. Follows canon up to TRF, then veers sharply away.

Fourth Most Kudos (love this!): Forth They Went Together, my take on the “trapped in a snowstorm” trope with a bit of Christmas flair tossed in. Set post-canon, Sherlock and John find themselves stuck on a train during a blizzard. In an effort to pass the time, they tell stories about their pasts that evolve into their hopes for the(ir) future. 

Most Words: Metamorphosis is my longest fic to date (11,351 words). This is a very loose retelling of ACD’s A Case of Identity. This is set post-TGG and John and Sherlock are struggling after Moriarty’s games, unable to see eye-to-eye. In comes Mary Sutherland, whose case brings a familiar (and loathed) person back into their lives. I like to think this version is more of a fix-it for Mary, not to mention some delicious payback, and in the end, a much-needed reconnection.

Least Words: Of the 20 works I’ve posted so far on A03, 10 are 221b ficlets, a format I’ve fallen hard for. My most recent one is bitter, sweet (not a drop of angst, I promise). Outside of the 221bs, my shortest fic is Resetting the Break (999 words). Mycroft Holmes hates legwork, but he loves his brother. When he decides to knock on John Watson’s door after Sherlock’s return, what happens next surprises them both.

I have to say, my favorite fics of yours are the S.C.I. fics that you gifted me over on ao3. And I really appreciate them. I go back and read them all the time!

aww, that is lovely 😊😘 thank you 💕💕 (and I haven't forgotten the SCI one I promised, I just apparently have selective writer's block where I can work on everything but my WIPs.... I'll get to it, I swear!)

well my favorites change pretty regulary, but some fics stay in my heart, regardless of current blorbos 😁

The Dawn Court The Dawn Court isn’t categorized into Seelie or Unseelie, and assumes a more liminal alignment. Faeries belonging to this court are generally considered hopeful fellows and are mostly satisfied with the role the universe has bestowed upon them. Like the Dawn, they are the best of both worlds, favoring some of the traditional aspects and values of old, but are not opposed to new beginnings or a fresh start. Change is not always necessary for them, but can be something beautiful, opening up new and fresh perspectives able to enrich life and enjoy it to the fullest. 2022 in Review

I wrote two fics this year. I had hoped to finish more, but I can’t be too disappointed. Two fics! I wrote none for many, many years. Plus, this year was Not Great, so I will take all the wins I can get. That said, my drafts folder is bursting; I am optimistic for 2023!

Resetting the Break

When Mycroft Holmes finds himself on John Watson’s doorstep after Sherlock’s (miraculous, melodramatic) return, he wonders at himself. He doesn’t do this, groundwork.

This is Sherlock’s mess, not his (lies), but he feels inexplicably compelled to defend his blasted brother. To John Watson, of all people.

Metamorphosis

Their poolside confrontation with Moriarty casts John and Sherlock adrift and leaves them struggling to reconnect.

Enter Maya Sutherland, whose case of love and deception brings a familiar face back into their lives and shocks them into action.

Tagged by @the-marron, thank you for tagging me, oh well honestly, this is a scene i wrote for the fic Drink in the sight of you, but unfortunately, it did not make it into the fic XD

"Do you want me to show you?" Zhao Yunlan grins mischievously. Shen Wei blindly nods at him.

Then he is being pushed back onto the mattress, Zhao Yunlan's body looming over him. Shen Wei lets out a shaky gasp.

"You pushed me back like this, Professor. I did not know the drunk Professor would be so...hungry for me."

Shen Wei cannot help but blush harder at his words. He drank too much the last time to remember anything about it, but he certainly did not expect- this.

Zhao Yunlan grabs the collar of Shen Wei's cloak and rips it open agressively: "Then you tore my shirt off just like this. Mind you, Hei Lao Ge, I really like that shirt. You may need to help Professor Shen make it up for me somehow."

Okay, after that Shen Wei was just panic and I cannot lead that into the ending I want so, boom eliminated XD
