It is not physically possible to murder an operating system but I really really want to right now.
Why is my Desktop backed up to OneDrive? Why is it apparently impossible to move anything on my Desktop to the computer hard drive without removing it from the Desktop? My computer should have a fucking desktop that isn't in the cloud and that I don't have to pay to store things on.

trying to transfer my files to my new laptop (I have them all on an external storage drive) and microsoft's horrible onedrive is insisting on syncing everything and filling up immediately and my only options in settings are 'keep this folder in the cloud but not on your computer' like ??? I want it on my computer but not on the cloud! the literal opposite!! I would throw this whole awful cloud storage service in the garbage and not even care except that the one (1) thing i use it for is storing my onenote notebooks and it can't do that if the storage is full because it won't not try to sync every file on my laptop to the goddamn cloud 🙃
