DPXDC Prompt #127
Clockwork knew it was getting dangerous for Danny in his dimension. His parents were getting dangerously close to finding out his secret and unfortunately this timeline they were leaning towards not accepting him. He decided to step in before things got out of hand and sends Danny to another dimension. He sends Danny to live with his granddaughter, Diana, and gives her a cryptic message.
Diana is unsure about the teen that was dropped off seemingly randomly by her grandfather. It takes her quite a while to decipher as she had to return home to decipher the last part of it. When she’s done she’s slightly horrified to find the kid that’s been staying with her for months is a baby ancient. Specifically the ancient of space. She vows to protect him at all costs.

About the murder game, what would the victims do once they're killed and thrown back into the real world? Do they just wait for the others or do they simply leave to do their own thing?
I was going to say "stuck playing Tetris for hours on end" but then I thought that would be a waste of such immersive VR technology!
Clearly, the answer is to put them in the care of someone who is already a proven, responsible caretaker of people trapped in the digital world until the game resets!
Yes, I watched the pilot a few days after it came out! Dess keeping track of modern trends for once?! It's a miracle! Pomni is a darling(*) So is Ragatha and Caine, in his own special way, though I'm looking forward to whatever knowledge Jax is maybe holding onto as well?
(*) Assuming that the IHNMAIMS parallels end with Caine's inspiration, that is...!
TLDR, I'm enjoying it very much!

me, gearing up to explain why the dragon prince's latest seasons have continued to disappoint me, that while i love the lore and worldbuilding and characters there are clear pacing issues that are so jarring it takes me out of the experience, and that i say all of this with great love for the series but there's only so much good concepts can do before animation has to catch up in order to retain the average viewer's attention. that although season 4 and 5 have been branded as "the mystery of aaravos" the titular character barely appears and that is a crime to me, that even if it's for the suspense and intentionally leaving the viewer/main characters in the dark it's not doing a good job at building up his character and i fear for the exposition dump that will inevitably happen later on. that i will be harsh in critiquing this series because i love it so much and want it to be the best it can be: *inhales*
also me the moment i actually finished the goddamn season:

The dilemma with liking Marvel comics or characters is that there's now almost nothing so obscure that the comics version won't be completely subsumed by a terrible MCU iteration (which will soon cover all the Tumblr tags like bread mold on a week-old sandwich).
The dilemma with liking DC comics or characters is that there's now almost nothing so obscure that the versions you liked won't be completely subsumed by a terrible Tom King maxi-series about doing war crimes (which will soon cover all the Tumblr tags like that nasty orange film that builds up in the shower).

so the pale king definitely trips over his robes right? Like this lil fella is the most powerful fork know to bug kind and yet his balance is shit. It’s amazing he didn’t fall off the ledge into the abyss. It’s why he had wings, so he could make his fumbles look intentional by flying.

at church reading the hymn lyrics like "hey i learned that word from genshin!" and "hey i learned that word from genshin!" and "hey i learned that word from translating song lyrics so that i could write genshin fic!" and "hey i learned that word from genshin!" and finally "omg i learned that word from the king's avatar"

Could you explain what possessed you to fight the LITERAL AVATAR, without a shirt?
Those were my best robes. It's very normal for firebenders to burn off their clothes. It happened to Admiral Zhao all the time, somehow he was always naked when he had to report before me.

Thinking about writing a fic with every silly lil headcannon thought I’ve ever had about Jeremy to get it out of my system
that way when TSC1 comes out I can compartmentalize and accept Nora’s Jeremy as the one true Jeremy in my heart
but I’ll still have my own lil guy that’s basically just an entirely different character

Clumsy Bertie!
Left: August 15th 1934, when Bertie apparently had a ‘poisoned hand’ (excuse me, what? how?) which also meant he was unable to attend his beloved Duke of York Summer Camp that year.
Right: May 25th 1950 at The Oaks Stakes, Epsom Downs, and this time with a bandage on his right hand. I haven’t (yet) been able to find out what happened here, but there’s some grainy footage online briefly showing the bandage, and him possibly also discussing it with an official. Oh, and he still shook hands with everyone!
