Saving Grace
25 Days of Simpmas: Day Seven December 7th: Lelouch Lamperouge, Rank 19 Anime: Code Geass Event Masterlist
“Oh dear. That Zero. He truly is. A terrifying man. I sure hope. I don’t run. Into him.”
Your choppy, robotic commentary was the best you could contribute to the student council’s latest fearful rant about the masked man, Zero, but luckily no one aside from Lelouch had seemed to notice your insincerity.
He smirked to himself as he pretended to flip through paperwork, clearly amused by your awful acting.
It was fine that he’d taken notice. You’d meant that comment for your boyfriend anyway. Ever since you found out that you were dating the leader of the Black Knights, you couldn’t help but poke fun at the whole situation. When you didn’t want to go to class, you’d say to him, “Boy. I’m really not feeling math class today. Would be a shame if some… vigilante were to burn down the math wing today. Cancel classes. I’m just saying, I wouldn’t mind.” When you were stuck in traffic, you’d sigh and say “Boy, I could really use a Knightmare right about now, just march through all the traffic. I wonder if I know anyone that has one.” Lelouch would chuckle to himself in the driver’s seat (because, of course, you were his passenger princess), and then he’d say something like, “And what if I was enjoying this alone time with you?”
He always enjoyed his time with you.
Sometimes he could even forget he had the weight of the world on his shoulders because you were his world and you made him feel weightless.
Sure, you teased him for being Zero, asked if the cape was really necessary or if he just liked being dramatic, asked how he could pilot a Knightmare when he could barely figure out the settings on the new TV, asked if he was really just cheating on you to go on dates with Suzaku and if so, could you join in? But at the end of the day, when all the joking and jesting subsided, more than being his alibi, you were his partner in crime, his ride or die, and you’d stay by his side until the end of time.
You’d do anything for him. And he’d do anything for you; he’d be anything for you. Every day that he was Zero was another day that he was building a better world for you to live in.
To some, Zero was a hero, a revolutionist, a symbol of hope; to others, Zero was a terrorist, an egoist, a power hungry maniac. To you, he was a reminder that somebody cared enough to be your sword, your shield, your suit of armor. And underneath that mask, he was still just a boy you were in love with, a boy who’d promised to come home to you each and every night, a boy who held himself to that promise more than he did anything else. He could be half dead, seeing stars, spitting blood, and he’d still stumble his way to your door.
You were always waiting at the door. Waiting to clean him up, to bandage his wounds, to tell him about your day, ask him about his, kiss him all better, cuddle him to sleep, fight off his demons with nothing more than your smile.
He kept a picture of your smiling face on him at all times, for just that reason. If he was going to die on some battlefield, somewhere far away from you, at least your smile could reach him, at least your smile could carry him to heaven when he more than deserved hell.
And when he got too wrapped up in his own thoughts, counting his sins, plotting his plagues, you were his guardian angel, pulling him from his purgatory.
You’d knock on his head lightly. “So serious. Must be some heavy planning going on in there. Save some brain cells for the rest of us.” Then you’d kiss his forehead over and over, massaging his temples with your thumbs, until he’d stopped thinking of anything but your touch.
Sometimes you’d try the cape on. Flounce around in it. Give dramatic bows. Do a little dance. And all his battery strategy would go out the window, laughter replacing it.
Sometimes he’d even have to reschedule his plans because you were so distracting. Of course, he’d have to come up with some brilliant excuse, because how else was he supposed to admit to the entirety of the Black Knights that he’d cancelled waging war on an enemy base just because his girlfriend refused to go watch a movie without him but today was the only day the movie was airing? He couldn’t very well tell them that the all-seeing, all-powerful Zero caved to her whims before she even stooped to begging. He couldn’t very well tell them that the mere thought of her pouting had him scooping her up in his arms and taking off with her, ready to fulfill her every fantasy. He couldn’t very well tell them that sometimes he considered quitting his little conquests just so he could have more time to make her breakfast in bed or play with her hair until she woke up.
Even the way you woke up was angelic.
The way you blinked the sleep from your eyes, searching for him, reaching for him, before you were even conscious enough to realize you were doing so. Then the way you smiled when you found him, wrapping your arms around him like you’d never let go again and snuggling into his chest like it was home. He wasn’t sure what he’d done to deserve you. He’d not done nearly enough.
He often thought to himself that if judgement day ever came, if he was ever allowed a pardon for his many sins, he’d owe his redemption all to you. If he was ever soft, if he was ever kind, if he was ever good, it was because of you. If his hands were stained, you washed them clean. If his soul was darkened, you brought your light. If he was a devil, you were an angel.
And you were his saving grace.

Note
Hi! Longtime fan of your work. You have the perfect blend of history and fantasy. Um, so I just noticed Code Geass was on your list of works you'd do. Would it be all right to have your headcannons of Lelouch and Suzaku? If so, thanks! Keep up the great work!
Hi, of course it is alright to request Code Geass. Will first do some hcs of Suzuaku in form of a Charcter Sheet. I'll do Lelouch next month (knocks on wood). Thank you!
Yandere Suzaku Kuurugi - Character Sheet I
Tumblr media
Trigger warnings: religious themes, abuse of authority, power plays, threats, politics, death, violence A/N: I told myself I would be normal here, only to then remember that Suzuaku is a Knight. Here is the end product.
Attributes - What sort of Yandere is he/she?
Tumblr media
Suzuaku would be a man with temperament and that would reflect in how he'd be towards you. You and your love wouldn't be something he would take lightly and this would be mirrored in his actions. To him, you would never be a means to an end, you would be an end. You would matter immensely to him and a lot of his actions would be driven by ensuring your happiness and welfare. In many ways, he'd be very intense. To make matters worse, he would place the responsibility for his actions on you. At the end of the day, you would be the reason he'd choose to continue living, why he would fight and kill and manipulate. While this would apply to many a yandere, what would set him apart from other people would be his drive, talent and power. The crown on your head would be his doing, and he would be your self-anointed sword and shield.
Something that would stick out would be his stubbornness and you would have to witness it in all its horrid glory. No matter how you would plead and reason with him, how much you'd scream and spit and yell and curse, he would still insist that he would be yours. It wouldn't change that so many of his actions would be done with you in mind and that he would remain unshaken in his position as your protector and benefactor. Your life would be crafted by hand, and luxury and affluence would be the chains he would shackle you with. Suzuaku would dictate the setting and circumstances of your life and would call it paradise. Who else would care for you as fervently as him?
Suzuaku would be reverent to the point of obsessivness. Just like an idol or philosophers that would beg not to be glamorised and to be seen as all too human, only to be lionised and worshipped with gold and pigments, so would he revere you. Your opinion wouldn't matter here - he would put you on a pedestal and there you would stay. Just like any proper deity, you would get a shrine and regular tributes. Kiss his sword, would you - he'd want your blessing.
Even worse would be the bloody gifts he would bring to your altar - trophies obtained during conquest, curios that other people would kill for, bloodstained jewels and fabrics. Occasionally he would deem it as necessary to bring you a “human sacrifice”, to remind you of your place and to show you what you really are. You would be above a mere mortal in his eyes, enigmatic and divine. Such a being should be largely concealed from the immoral filth of the world, lest you be tarnished and corrupted.
To enable all his stunts and his behaviour, he would be crafty and resourceful. He would have to be, especially to achieve his goals despite all his disadvantages. With everybody worth their salt looking down on him for various reasons, he would have to have his wits about him in order to proceed upwards. While he would be a man of action first and foremost, he wouldn't be stupid by any means. The same would apply to you - maybe you'd be a noble that he would have to work hard to obtain, or you'd be another number that he would have to shield and protect. In the case of the latter, you would actually be a burden to Suzaku’s career, as the gossip that would follow him would only increase. Yet he would never be persuaded to let you go. He'd turn nobles prejudices against them, bend disadvantages to suit his needs and turn expectations on their heads.
In addition to all of these, he would also be greedy for more of you. No matter how much you'd give him, no matter how much you'd relent, he'd always crave more. It would never be enough for him. Ideally, he'd call under your skin and make a home for himself in your ribcage next to your beating heart, so that he'd forever and always be with you. Still, he would be surprising touch adverse - he'd have lines that he wouldn't dare cross, no matter how strong the temptation would be.
Cornering - How would they get you?
Tumblr media
Since you would be the centre of his world, and his reason to live, he would move mountains to be with you. At first, he would think that he could twist this into a version of knightly chivalry, of slaying beasts and conquering lands and accomplishing herculean feats in order to receive a small token of your affection and acknowledgement. However, he would soon discover that so little would never be enough for him, and that he would always be greedy for more. He would just have to have you, to touch your skin, to talk to you and spoil you.
Should you be below him socially, it would be very easy to entrap you with him. Just from flaunting his status and money and pulling some strings would be enough to get you in his lap. Some obstacles might be in the way, like how it would impact his reputation and that you might kick up a fuss, but those would only be short term worries. They would be easily overshadowed by the long term benefits. Should you come to him from one of the conquered lands, it would be even easier. There wouldn’t be any pushback as well, since everybody would just see it as him taking a war trophy for himself. Of course, all those nobles and high society people would look down on you, and it would upset him greatly. Suzuaku would land himself in a few duels to defend your honour.
Overall, he would hold your life in his hands, and likely those of your loved ones as well. It would be something he'd remind you of every now and then, just to keep you in line. Despite his “generosity”, he might still kill your family and friends, for the divine need no earthly attachments. At the very end, you would need him and only him to realise your destiny. Everybody else would just be weeds and brambles on the path to your transcendence.
Perhaps you would be higher than him on the social ladder. It would make getting you more difficult, but not impossible. Politics is such slippery business, with people trying to backstab one another at the drop of a hat, especially in such a decadent place as the Holy Britannian Empire. One day, the opportunity for him to swoop in and snatch you up would surely arise. Power is always relative to the situation, so while you might outrank him socially, you still might be powerless to stop his ministrations.
He could take refuge in audacity. Who would you dare confess your plight to? Who would laugh in dark amusement or disbelief if you were to tell them that an honorary Britannian Knight was harassing you? On the flip side, you might be too embarrassed to seek.
Or he could throw his weight around to trap you in an arranged marriage with him. It would be easy for him, especially considering that his sponsors and superiors would give their blessing, since they would desire for him to have another tie to Britannia. With another guarantee for Suzuaku’s loyalty ensured, your happiness would be a small price to pay. Arranged marriages wouldn’t be expected to be happy unions, and people would be all the more willing to look the other way should Suzuaku be more … violent with you. There would be far less skeletons to hide, and a far lesser need to.
Expectations - What do they expect of you?
Tumblr media
He would want you to be endearing and charming. If you aren't that way inherently, then it would be no problem. It would be nothing a change of scene and pace and some formal lessons couldn't fix. Divinity is something practised with purpose and ease, and that would be what he'd come to expect of you. He would be aware of his idealism, and of the wrongness of some of his acts, so he would strive to make the reality with you fit the picture in his head. In his eyes, you could have just as well stepped out of a folktale with how etheral you are, and he would want the rest of the world to see that. You’d be a diamond, and you’d just need a bit of polishing so that the rest of humanity would recognise your true worth. In his essense, Suzuaku would be a man that would desire to show his achievments, so he would love to flaunt you off. While you should have eyes only for him, your protector and benefactor, you should be able to handle social situations with a medicrum of grace.
You'd be enigmatic to him, due to him deifying you in his head, and also as a coping mechanism for his own wrong doings. On some level, he would be cognisant of the fact that the relationship with you is toxic, that his actions are depraved and that he shouldn’t treat you as he does. Because of this awareness, your relationship with Suzuaku would have its brighter moments where he would be more lenient to you. That being said, he would also be in denial about a lot of it, and his way of twisting your rebellious, disagreeable or also unhappy behaviour to suit his world picture would be to deem you a mystery. On a more down-to-earth note - mysteriousness in a person is attractive to many, and Suzuaku wouldn’t be an exception. It would bring his great joy to ferret out your secrets and never being able to know you fully.
Steadfastness would be a quality that would make him swoon. Nothing in this world is achieved weak-willed people, so being to stand your ground on the basis of your will would be attractive to him. Of course, it would infuriate him should you stand against him yet and wouldn’t trade your strength of character for anything in the world. It would also be reassuring to him that you wouldn’t be easily cowed. It would mean that you wouldn’t be easily pressured into betraying him, and that you wouldn’t break due to measly gust of wind.
Be purposeful for that adds to the aforementioned qualities. Don’t do things half-heartedly or by halves and you would gain prestige in his eyes. You would be a greater prize to gain, a more powerful person to keep. Suzuaku would rather have a tiger than a housecat, and would take all the swipes and mauling as given. They would just be signs of your attention and his affection. Gods don’t love as ordinary mortals do, after all. Be idealistic to a degree. It would make it easier for him to keep you. If you constantly try to make reality bow to your wishes then he would shape your surroundings to match your wishes so that you would be lulled into complacency. A gilded cage with all the toys needed to keep you entertained, just forget the world outside of the one he created for you, and luxury would be presented to you on a silver platter.
Faded - Would they let go of you in any way?
Tumblr media
In his eyes, not even death would keep him from you. Should he die first, then he would come to haunt you in the form of a ghost. Should you be the one to bite the dust before him, then he would honour your memory in every conceivable way and he would fall back into suicidal ideation. What you could do, is fake your death.
Sure it would break his heart and he would make it everybody's problem. Should he suspect a certain faction or group to be behind your demise, then he would bathe in their blood. The blood of innocents might very well be spilled due to you. Suzuaku Kuururigi would be a changed man, a hardened man and people would suffer due to it. He would never forget you, and honour your memory in his own, special ways. Could you make such a selfish choice?
Punishment - How would they proceed if you do something they disapprove of?
Tumblr media
If there would be one thing that he would hate, then it would be punishing you. Hurting you would hurt him, most of the time. Besides, you would be special for him to truly hurt. So, if you would step out of line, if you would escape, if you would be disagreeable and rejective, if you would try to kill him, then he would take the most benevolent interpretation/misconstruction of the matter and present it to you. This would be to give you an off-ramp, so that he wouldn't need to punish you and to partially uphold the illusion of a mutual loving relationship.
Though, if he'd take to punishing you, then he would be uncompromising and harsh. He'd derive very little enjoyment from it, maybe a feeling of poetic justice if he'd make you eat your words or self-righteousness if you harmed the cause, yet he'd do the deed regardless.
One of his common methods would be to threaten your loved ones. Since they aren't you they would be free game. In some cases he would even go as far as to summon the one or the other person and imply that he's about to kill them. In front of you, mind you. Should you really be unmanageable, then don't be surprised when he'd casually spill their blood. It could be just a flesh wound, a warning shot for you if you will, and he wouldn't hesitate to go further if needed.
Speaking of warning shots - if your treachery would go beyond him, then he wouldn't be above performing a mock execution. Depending on how well-known your crimes would be, this could be completely public or private. Just a little something to put the fear of the powers that be in you. Maybe the rope would tear, or the hatch wouldn't open. No electricity would come when the switch would be pulled, or the firing squad would shoot with dummy bullets.
Tying in with another point here, the fake execution could be used to hide you away. If everybody would think you're dead, then nobody would take you away from him. With such a sudden change in your life, you would also be more vulnerable and more susceptible to his advances. Maybe the order would come from up above to end your life, and he would use the opportunity to deceive the world and squirrel you away. In that case, the poison would be switched with a sedative or the electric charge would be non-fatal. Once you'd wake up again, he'd have you all to himself and nobody would be able to do anything about it.
Another punishment he'd use would be far more subtle and still devastating. He would pay somebody to backstab you, perhaps even literally. That would put you on edge and make you distrusting towards everybody except him, who warned you about the betrayal and who helped you back on your feet. With a world so cruel, he would be your one safe haven, so allow him to protect you.
Other punishments wouldn't be so grand and even childish. Like making you write lines or run laps, or giving you detention. Should he be particularly angry over a minor matter, then he would leave you alone in the middle of a forest on a rainy day.
Reaction - How would they react to you escaping?
Tumblr media
Angry, both at you and himself. Most of the time, he wouldn't be too constricting and simply allow you to roam freely. For the most part, he would count on the negative side effects of his position (lot of enemies on all sides due to being an honorary Britannian knight) to do their magic and keep you in check. Or, if you are of lower birth or also not Britannian, for the rest of high society to ostracise you and you therefore having no chance to flee. All in all, your actions would only register as escaping in his mind if he wouldn't know where you are, and if you would escape alone. Anything other than that would be deemed as a kidnapping or you playing weird games.
Say that you really escape and he would view it as such, then he would speed off to retrieve you. The plan would be pieced together on the move and would even be a good plan. Any scant information would be enough for him to piece together the overall picture and deduce your further plans of action. He would take the initiative as soon as possible, to cut off all avenues of escape and bring you home securely. You would get a stern talking to, and he would take to moving around more for a while. Can't really escape if you don't know where you are, can you?
This would be one of the few instances where he would remind you that he is a military officer, and one of the best out there.
Turnabout - Scenario: You have the upper hand? What would be different from their usual MO?
Tumblr media
As far as he would be concerned, you would always have the upper hand. With the hold you'd have over his heart, you probably would. Nevermind that it wouldn't make a big difference in the long run. He would be your sword and shield - manifestations of power that you would possess. However, since he would determine the course of your life through the service he would grant you, you wouldn't be able to do without him. Your knight would be indispensable and from that point on shape your life all the more.
Maybe if you'd come to him through one of his campaigns and then find a way to get the drop on him… maybe then. The problem would be that Suzuaku wouldn't be half-bad, especially in relation to the other Britannians. You could be rid of him, but you would be jumping from the frying pan into the fire. Of course, the option of joining a non-Britanian faction could present itself. Though, would you really want to get stuck in the messy politics and bitter rivalries that would involve?
One way to stand above him, or at least on a level playing field, would be to either wield some genuine power of your own and use it to your advantage. Or to have plenty of political astuteness and worm your way into advising him. Male him more dependent on you than you are on him, and you would have the upper hand. The result would be that he would treat you with more respect, and you would have more agency. He would also be more subtle, though his behaviour towards you wouldn't change aside from that.
Vengeance - What would they do in the face of competition?
Tumblr media
With a sword and a lot of violence involved. In the chaos of the battlefield, it would be easy for people to get hurt or killed, even to friendly fire. Now, he wouldn't put his reputation on the line by outright killing a comrade in arms, if that were the case. Rather it would occur due to a minor oversight on his part - letting an enemy through, failing to pass a warning on due to being preoccupied or communications breaking down, or a brazen “overestimation” of their capabilities. During the burial, he'd hold a nice speech and lay some flowers on their grave.
If they'd be the official enemy, then there would be no holds barred. He'd pull his pistol on them if he'd see them on the street, or crush them to dust with his nightmare frame during a military campaign. To Suzuaku, they wouldn't be able to exit the world quickly enough. Other people would be tempted to pack out the torture devices and make the death of the opposition as slow and painful. Not Suzuaku though - he wouldn't waste more time than necessary.
As for higher ranked opponents with more clout - while he would never be the political and tactical genius that Lelouch is, he still wouldn't be hapless when it would come to politics. He wouldn't need to be outstanding, since his skill set would be enough to achieve his ends. Nobles and the like would be so easy to pit against each other - just dig up some dirt and they would already be at one another's throat. He would also utilise the fact that many people unfamiliar with his skills would underestimate him.
If this were to take place at school or a civilian format - then he would begrudgingly flaunt his status. Luck might be on his side and martial law could be declared, then he would have even more power. Then could just shoot the bastard trying to steal you from him. Would there be no martial law, and if the whole drama would take place at school, then he would drag you away by the wrist or throw you over his shoulder and run away with you to get you to stop interacting with certain people. In the case that he'd know no way out, then he'd enlist the help of the school council president.

Code Geass Season 1 DVD Magazine 2 : Best phrase award (Stage 14 ~25) Crack / Not Canon
The best phrase award videos are specials from the Code Geass dvd, with the best voted scene/lines of the show being commented by some of the cast; While it's obviously very crackish since the characters break the 4th wall, it's still very good fun and it even allowed us to learn what was the full line of Stage 14 infamous Lelouch dialogue to Shirley, while he was erasing her memories, since it's mentionned twice in there, as a fact, not as speculation. So some good Shirley/Lelouch food I guess, and some good crack for those who are fond of this kind of content. This post is about best scenes from Stage 14 to 25.
youtube
DVD Magazine II: Best Phrase Award (Stage 14 ~ 25)
Milly and Shirley introduce the corner; Shirley: "This is also where we bully Lelouch!". They then introduce themselves:
Omniscient Other-dimension Milly Ashford ("In other words, I am... God!") Omniscient Other-dimension Shirley Fenette ("If you're a God, then I'm an... Angel!")
Lelouch makes his dramatic appearance here: And I'm the protagoni--
Shirley: SHIRLEY PUNCH!!!
(Lelouch goes flying.)
Shirley: I get really annoyed when I'm not the one in the spotlight.
Milly: (to Lelouch) "We'll call for you later, so wait patiently, you."
******************
10. [Cornelia] With that you are now a Knight, in name and in fact. Go, Kururugi Suzaku!
Tumblr media
Milly gushes over Cornelia (she's apparently a huge fan of Cornelia and her No-Nonsense personality); Shirley then says, a little too innocently:
"So I guess Nina goes for Euphie, and Kaichou's all for Cornelia."
Milly: (sweatdrop) No no no, it's just that I find it really MOERU, this scene of Cornelia finally acknowledging and entrusting her hopes to Suzaku, who she once considered an enemy. Oh, I meant the hot-blooded kind of Moe, by the way.
Shirley: Actually, I think Cornelia, for all her hostility, was one of the first characters to acknowledge Suzaku.
Milly: (surprised) Really?
Shirley: Apparently Cornelia ordered Suzaku to execute Toudou because she thought it would be an achievement no one would dare cast doubt on. She did it for his sake.
Milly: (sigh) I don't think any normal person would do that "for someone's sake".
*******************
9. [Chigusa] I... I don't mind being an Eleven..
Tumblr media
Shirley and Milly both sigh wistfully at this little, quiet love blooming against a backdrop of war and death.
Milly: Though I'll admit I was surprised: does losing one's memory result in such a drastic change of personality?
Shirley: I think Villetta had this side to her all along, actually.
Milly: (grin) I see. And then we have a certain someone whose personality stays exactly the same even with her memory gone.
Shirley: (pout) Are you talking about me!?
Milly, without missing a beat, changes the subject--
8. [Shirley] The morning will come. [...] Well, there are a lot of sad things you can't just forget, but... But the morning will come, right?
Tumblr media
Milly: The morning will come... what a lovely line! Shirley was trying to cheer Lelouch up here, you know, even though she was still grieving over the loss of her father and all.
Shirley: (a little lacking in humility) Yes, that's right. I've never seen anyone's daughter turn out so strong and fine! I can totally understand why Lelouch would say something like, "If there's a next life for the both of us, let us be lovers.".
[***note: This is the first official? confirmation of what Lelouch was trying to say there, AFAIK]
Milly: (grin) Well, talk is free, after all, as I'm sure Lelouch knows very well.
Shirley: (annoyed) Would you like a Shirley Punch too, Kaichou?
Milly quickly turns her "offer" down...
*********************
7. [Schneizel] It's true. Nary a flower nor butterfly flitting in a ball shine brighter than you do on the battlefield. Yes, you're just like The Flash.
Tumblr media
Shirley: I'm surprised Schneizel managed to say something like that with a completely straight face.
Milly: He's a... "People-Killer". (*note: as opposed to "Lady-killer")
Shirley: (surprised) People-Killer?
Milly: He's the sort of person who knows what someone wants to be told, deep down, and he tells them exactly that. For example, Cornelia, who deeply admired Marianne the Flash, was told "You're just like the Flash herself."
Shirley: (sweatdrop) When you put it like that, his motives don't sound all that... pure.
Milly: And that's how both Cecile-san and General Bartley fell prey to his charms.
Shirley: General Bartley, too...?
Milly: To all the li'l kittens in front of the screen -- be careful of men like him!
Shirley: And now let's call on our first guest...
*********************
6. [Kallen] LIKE HELL I'D DO IT!!!! [...] Hmph! The only person capable of ordering me around is Zero, and him alone.
Tumblr media
Kallen: LIKE HELL I'D DO IT!!!! (sigh) ...Hello. Kouzuki Kallen -- Japanese -- here.
Milly: (sweatdrop) Wow, that's some point she's making there. Not to mention she's in a real sulk right now...
Shirley: We've never seen this Sulky side of Kallen, have we?
Frail Kallen: Um, could you please refrain from using the word "Sulky"?
Milly: (grin) SO! How is it? How do you feel about Zero -- the only person allowed to order you around -- turning out to be Lelouch himself?
Frail Kallen: (sigh) I... really don't want to acknowledge this as fact.
Shirley: Was it totally unexpected for you?
Kallen: (explodes) WELL YEAH, OBVIOUSLY! Lelouch's just a bratty no-gooder, all talk and nothing else!
Milly: Completely different from the Zero you admired, huh.
Shirley: So... what are you going to do when Lelouch orders you around in the future?
Kallen: (sigh) ...That would be... a problem, yes...
Milly: (surprised) I thought you might like Lelouch better now.
Kallen: Oh, I wonder about that! Or rather, can we pretend all that never happened? Who should I ask? The Director!? The scriptwriters!?
Milly: (sweatdrop) Um... I think that's probably impossible now.
Kallen: (sigh) What'll become of us in the sequel...?
***********************
5. [Zero] Goodbye, Euphie. You were perhaps... my first love...
Tumblr media
youtube
4. [C.C.] It's fine...! ...No, I suppose I am a little worried. Win, Lelouch. Win against your past, and the consequences of your actions.
Tumblr media
Shirley calls on their second guest...
Lelouch: Lelouch Lamperouge.
Kallen: (softly, to herself; but with clear distaste) Ugh, he's here.
Lelouch begins to complain about the show: the long wait-time, the lack of hairstylists and make-up artists, getting Shirley Punch'd, etc. etc..
Shirley ignores him, and continues on: "Lelouch's Women Problems, No. 5 and No. 4, revealed." (annoyed, sulky look)
Milly and Kallen: (simultaneous evil grins)
Lelouch: That's an invasion of privacy.
Milly: Still, you can't possibly deny that you've been behaving like a total playboy, especially when compared to Suzaku and Rivalz.
Kallen: (obnoxious smirk) Hmm~m? So Lelouch liked the pink princess, eh?
Shirley: (annoyed) And he fed me that line about reincarnation and becoming lovers and stuff in Narita, too!
Milly: And after that he kissed C.C.-san!
Kallen: (obnoxious smirk) Just what is going on with you?
Lelouch: What is going on here, is what I'd like to know. What is this, some kind of class reunion!?
Frail Kallen: Please reflect on your actions, Lelouch-kun~
Lelouch: ...Is no one planning on asking relevant questions about my Best Phrase?
Milly: Hey hey -- so what was it about Euphemia-sama that you loved?
Lelouch: (>__<) Learn to be more subtle with your questions!
Milly: (whine) I want to know! This episode was really depressing, you know.
Lelouch: It can't be helped!
Shirley: (annoyed) "It can't be helped"? That's all you have to say about your actions!?
Lelouch: (>__<) No, I didn't mean it that way!
Kallen: (sigh) ...I ...think I've been seriously let down...
Lelouch: (SHOCK)
Frail Kallen: (in a sort of depressed, guess-it-can't-be-helped voice) Sorry, you'll have to excuse me... (leaves)
Milly: ...Wow, she really is depressed about this.
******************
3. [Orange] Good Morning'd.
Lelouch: (SHOCK)
Milly and Shirley start fangirling over "Orange-san".
Shirley: (fangirl-mode) I love the way he says it... so sexy!
Lelouch: (annoyed) This... qualifies as a Famous Quote? It is clearly grammatically unsound.
Milly: But it's funny, isn't it?
Lelouch: (annoyed) So you only criterion for this is... how "funny" it is?
Shirley: Yep!
Lelouch: ...Are you saying I should be funny, too?
Milly: Nah, it's alright -- you're funny enough as is.
Lelouch: (SHOCK)
Shirley: Hey Lelou, why did Orange-san turn out that way, anyway?
Lelouch: He was experimented on by Bartley.
Shirley: What kind of experiment?
Lelouch: Bartley was the person who used C.C. as a guinea pig. Upon Orange's awakening, the data for "Code-R" can be seen on the monitor screen. ...In other words... that's how it is.
Shirley: Huh!? I don't get it at all!
Lelouch: That's alright. The viewers in front of the TV know what I'm talking about.
Shirley: Ooh, that just pisses me off!
******************
2. [Euphie] Suzaku! I um... you... um... uuummm... You are to fall in love with me! [...] In return, I will love you!
Tumblr media
Shirley: (in total admiration) I can't believe she actually said that!
Milly: (grin) That's because you don't have the courage to say things like that.
Shirley: Oh, just leave it! (fangirl mode) I have this scene recorded, with the title: "The Scorching Fastball of Love"!
Milly: And Suzaku's really something, isn't he, to be able to catch this "Scorching Fastball". (grin) Lelouch, you're jealous, aren't you?
Lelouch: (quietly) ...no, not really...
Shirley: I wonder which one of the two he's jealous of?
Milly and Lelouch: >__<''
Milly: Um, that's not something you'd normally think about, is it?
Shirley: (innocently) I'm just speaking out on behalf of the female fanbase.
Milly: Come to think of it, I wonder how many people listened in on this confession.
Shirley: Oh right, this was done over a communications channel, wasn't it? I'm surprised you thought of it.
Milly: C'mon, this is a public confession we're talking about here! Everyone wants to know!
Lelouch: That was a private channel, for military use only. The only person who overheard was the operator -- Cecile Croomy.
Milly: Oh, I see. Must have been awkward for Cecile-san. Not like she can just plug her ears and not listen.
Lelouch: Well, after that, I suppose Schneizel might have checked the communications records and said, "Ahahahaha, that was truly a masterpiece, Euphie." </schneizel>
Shirley: (sweatdrop) I can actually imagine him doing that, yes.
Lelouch: By the way, Euphie's the sort of person who does the things she wants to do passionately and wholeheartedly -- while completely oblivious to what's going on around her. She's been like that ever since she was little.
Milly: So that's what you like about her, huh~
Lelouch: (>__<) Stop that! Is this some kind of grade schoolers' pajama party!?
Shirley changes the subject --
*********************
1. [Lelouch] I'll welcome you with open arms. After all, we're friends, aren't we? Fuhahaha... hahahahaha... hahahahaha!
Tumblr media
Lelouch: In the end, every heart is shot down by my beautiful lines!
Milly: Has there ever been a protagonist capable of using the word "Friend" in such an evil sense? This unprecedented form of dark villainy has won critical praise!
Lelouch: ...You're interpreting things in an evil light again.
Shirley: But that's the straight-on interpretation of it, isn't it?
Milly: Yes... it just screams "BRING IT! YOU'LL BE THE ONE GOING DOWN! I'LL BEAT YOU TO A PULP AND SEND YOU OFF CRYING!".
Shirley: Are we mistaken?
Lelouch: (sweat) ...
Milly: Looking back on it now, I suppose this is what he had to say after Suzaku told him "I'm coming to kill you now."
Lelouch: Hmph, I don't care for your interpretations. We're good friends, Suzaku and me.
Shirley: "The person who's been tied down by rules and orders has finally come to kill Zero! That deserves a maniacal laugh!" ...by Lelouch's inner monologue, something like that?
Lelouch: CAN'T YOU LISTEN TO WHAT I'M SAYING FOR ONCE!?
Milly: But you set a proper trap, didn't you?
Lelouch: But of course! I don't see any point in fighting an idiot with reflexes and nothing much else fair and square. My best character trait is my intelligence!
Milly: (sweatdrop) I think that sort of thinking is exactly what's been rubbing Suzaku the wrong way all this time.
Shirley then asks Lelouch about his thoughts on his role in the sequel; Lelouch pauses to think for a moment.
Milly: Moar liek... are you even in the sequel?
Lelouch: (SHOCK) Me, not in the sequel!?
Shirley: Come to think of it, there was that one gunshot in the final scene... BANG!
Milly: Alright, hypothetically speaking: If you were in the sequel, what would you do?
Lelouch: (annoyed) ... As mentioned before... I won't change! My goals, my methods, the things I want to protect... my wrath, too!
Milly: That's... kind of hard to understand, but I guess in a nutshell he's saying "I will still be shamelessly doing all sorts of dirty tricks unbecoming of a protagonist in the sequel! Be sure to tune in!" -- something like that.
Lelouch: (>__<) ...I get it... fine... ...whatever...
Shirley: (sweatdrop) He... acknowledged it.
Lelouch then Geasses the viewers into watching the sequel every week.
THE END

🏫School Mates (SuzaLulu x Reader)PT 1🏫
A/N: Testing the waters with posting the few fanfic content I have out so far for one of my nine fave anime ever. This reworked piece I've had for a long while is coming out. This AU is where you're a late new student at Ashford Academy. Yeah, it's sort of a love triangle. Hopefully, I can make this short story make sense in some way. All credit for Code Geass characters and pics goes to Sunrise.
DON'T COPY OR STEAL MY FANWORK, RATHER LIKE AND REBLOG. I hope you enjoy.
Tumblr media
"Y/n … Y/n … Y/N!"
You get awoken from your dream by the calling of your name. Your head resting on your folded arms snaps up in attention to who spoke out only to spot violet eyes trained on you, exasperatedly looking at you.
"Being the new student and sleeping during class isn't a good way to make a good impression. Be grateful you sit behind me, otherwise you'd have your neck strung out by the teacher."
You then noticed students parting as class was over "Mmm … sorry … Lelouch." You mumble sleepily as your rub your tired eyes.
Said man, Lelouch, glared a bit more before his eyes softened, sighing before running a hand through his hair. "Honestly, where would you be without me?"
"I'd be dead." You dully uttered. You get hit lightly on the head by a rolled up paper, making you pout at him. "Hey!"
"No time for jokes. Come on, the others are waiting." Lelouch put the paper in his bag before taking your hand and pulling you to your feet, dragging you behind him.
"Lelouch, I can walk to the student council room just fine without you dragging me like a rag doll." You pitifully moaned as you felt sparks run through your hand as his held yours tighter taking the lead.
"You've been attending here for weeks now and you still get lost in these halls." Lelouch reminded you in matter of fact tone. His tone made you stick your tongue out with his back facing you. "And I'd quit sticking my tongue out if I were you or else you'll attract flies."
"Come on, Lelouch. Cut her some slack. She's still a late transfer, after all." An amused voice lightly chided as your free hand was held by a callous, warm hand that easily pulled you free from Lelouch's grip. "I got your back, Y/n." You turned around to see Suzaku in time as he gently bumped your shoulder with his fist, smiling carefree.
"My knight in shining armor," you softly cheered as you hugged Suzaku's arm, giving a closed eye smile as both guys blushed as they thought it was one of the cutest smiles they've ever seen. "Thank you."
"You're welcome." Suzaku laughed a bit, smiling toothily back at you.
"If you two are going to flirt in my face, I'm not sticking around to watch." Lelouch rolled his eyes, he almost sounded like he was jealous; especially when deep down he didn't like you hugging Suzaku's arm in his presence. And he didn't know he would feel that sort of emotion over such a silly thing. But he couldn't keep a small smile from growing on his face as he shook his head to clear those ridiculous thoughts. "Come on, you two."
When you did arrive …
"Okay everyone, time for GUTS~!" Milly was loud and flamboyant as always.
"Aw come on, Prez! Another guts spell right from the start?" Rivalz complained, even though underneath he was secretly swooning for her hard.
"Um … hello …" Nina was typing at her computer, being meek as usual.
"Nice of you three to finally show up." Kallen said nonchalantly.
"Hi, Lulu~! Ready for another day of good old student council work~!?" Shirley ran over to greet Lelouch, teeming with a giddy, enthusiastic personality.
"Ready as always. You all should know that by now." Lelouch smiled charmingly, making Shirley almost swoon as the meeting commenced.
As the daily meeting began and went on for an hour and a half, you couldn't help but have your eyes travel around the room, landing on each single person. Every person here welcomed you into their school lives and their personal lives in some way.
Milly was as flirtatious as she was dramatic in her own lovable way.
Rivalz crushing on the pres hard while also being a goofball.
Nina, well, she was a shy introvert but a genius beneath … even though there were times you felt suspicious towards her.
Shirley, such an upbeat, enthusiastic girl with a good heart even though she's obviously falling hard for Lelouch and making it so obvious to everyone.
And Kallen, looks calm and mysterious on the surface but you had a feeling there was more to her and you had no idea why but you kinda like her for it. They slowly but surely became the first ever friends you ever made.
Soon, the meeting ended and you walked between Lelouch and Suzaku to the clubhouse which is also Lelouch's home on campus that he shared with his maid Sayako; you get the impression there was more to her like with Kallen as someone not to underestimate, and his little sister Nunnally … she was like the little precious sister you never thought you wanted; spending quality time with her especially when Lelouch was away doing his own thing.
Speaking of, Lelouch and Suzaku even … they were like two sides of the same coin. Two peas in a pod. So similar yet so different in their own respective ways. Lelouch is the brains, Suzaku is the brawn, but put them together … there's nothing they can't accomplish. You couldn't have one without the other and you wouldn't have it any other way.
In fact, it was Lelouch himself that allowed you to live with him and his sister in the clubhouse and asked Milly to convince her grandfather to allow it since the dorms on campus were already full. You may not remember much of your life before coming here, but a lot of meaning was brought back into your life, gaining new memories and a new life instead.
'So, why do I still have this nagging feeling in the back of my mind … this added pressure deep within my heart for how I feel towards these two guys … seems familiar. Whether it's good or bad … I don't know.'
♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡
"I like pancakes with marshmallows on top~! Heeheehee~! Yippee~! Whee~!" You blurted out randomly, causing Nunnally to laugh gleefully as she clapped, making you laugh too. You had just finished dinner with Nunnally and the guys; Suzaku was invited to eat over since he's their occasional guest as well as their childhood friend, and you were currently playing with Nunnally's hair. From the moment you met her, your heart instantly melted at the pure innocence that is Nunnally Lamperouge that compelled you to protect the precious girl with all your might!
"Oh, I'd love to try that sometime! Can we?" Nunnally had hope laced in her voice.
"Your wish is my command, my lady." Lelouch smiled charmingly, bowing before his little sister, making her giggle.
"I second that request, please." You raised your hand, smiling bashfully.
"At your service, my lady." Suzaku appeared by your side, also bowing to you, making your cheeks heat up and feel all fluttery inside. His eye closed smile radiated sunshine that is this wholesome boi.
As Lelouch gathered the empty plates to take to the kitchen to clean them up, you noticed him stopping to side glance at you, nodding his head for you to follow, before walking through the doorway. "I um … I'll be back in a bit, Nunna."
"Okay. Suzaku, do you want to make paper cranes with me? Miss Sayako and I were working on some earlier."
"That sounds fun. I'd love to." Seeing him gaze affectionately at her like another older brother to her made your heart skip a beat before you walked to the kitchen.
You spotted Lelouch's back to you as he washed the dishes. You slowly approached him, feeling nervous as you wondered what he wanted. You rubbed your arm as you do when you're anxious. The sound of his voice made you halt in your tracks.
"You and Nunnally have gotten closer over time. It feels like just yesterday when I met you; a meek new girl to our class. And yet, as days passed by, that very same girl became a part of our daily lives. As a school mate, then a student council member, and now a friend. For what was once hollow is now becoming whole again. At least, that's my basic sum of it."
You felt your stomach tie itself in knots as you timidly approached him, "And now?"
You watched as the reflection of his calm face in the window above the sink looked back at you; his violet eyes twinkling with speculation, before looking over his shoulder, now looking amused. "You look like a scared little thing with that look on your face. Relax. I'm not gonna bite."
"A – Are you sure about that?" You gulped audibly.
"I'm serious. I'm grateful to you for being here for Nunnally in my stead. Don't get me wrong. I'm grateful to Sayako and the student council being around to spend time with her when I'm busy with stuff … and I don't say this as much as I should … but … thank you." The smile he gave to you felt genuine and it made your heart flutter.
"It – it's fine. Nunnally … she's an absolute angel. And I'm grateful to her and you and everyone for accepting me into the student council and your friend group – !"
You stop speaking mid sentence. You froze, stunned in shock at the feel of lips pressed against your cheek. It took you a minute before you blinked your eyes back into focus from the daze you were in. "Consider this my gift to you."
You slowly raised your hand to touch your cheek; the tingling feeling where his lips touched your skin made something within you click into place. Your eyes traveled to meet his; you swore you just saw them glow magenta for a moment there. But his eyes were fine. Very fine in your opinion as you became lost in their beautiful violet sea; almost like delving deep into his soul and searching for something beyond your understanding.
You felt an unfathomable pull to him, making you lean closer as you noticed he did the same when the realization that Lelouch kissed your left cheek made you snap out of it; face aflame as you covered your mouth to muffle your squeak of surprise, snapping Lelouch of his apparent trance as well as he blinked several times to get back into focus.
"Mmm … I swear, everything I say and do gets you so easily flustered, doesn't it?" He laughed softly, even though his cheeks were flushed red too.
"N – No!" That just made him snicker in his hand. "I – I should head back now."
"But seriously, Y/n." You looked back to see his smile still there, tender and true. "Thanks."
"Anytime."
You returned to the living room and felt a smile break out at the sight of Nunnally and Suzaku smiling, laughing, making paper cranes together when Suzaku noticed you and waved you over to help out. But you were still reeling from what transpired in the other room.
'Lelouch kissed me. Of all people, me! It was on the cheek, but still! I don't know that much about his personal life; aside from his gambling trips with Rivalz. Did he kiss anyone before, cheek or otherwise? Before me?' You couldn't get that image of Lelouch's bemused expression out of your mind. You also couldn't ignore the fact that you felt Suzaku's eyes on you, a suspicious glaze to them.
Sooner than you expected, it was time for Suzaku to leave. You were lost in thought as you watched Suzaku bent down to hug Nunnally before nodding at Lelouch only to have your name being called on, pulling you out of it to say good bye. But as he smiled and waved, walking out the door, you watched his retreating form while Lelouch pushed Nunnally's wheelchair to her bedroom to get her ready for bed. That's when you felt the same magnetic pull with Lelouch reappear, making you follow the soldier outside.
"Suzaku, wait!"
He stopped in mid walk and turned back around, curiosity and concern flashed on his face as he cocked his head to the side, making him appear that much cuter. "Y/n? What is it? Is something wrong?"
"No … the exact opposite, in fact. I feel …" Why are you feeling this way, twice in a row? "I just want to say thank you. Not just for tonight, but for every day since we became friends. It means a lot to me." You rubbed your arm, shyly smiling. "You … mean a lot to me."
His smile lite a fire in your heart. "You mean a lot to me too. You, Lelouch, Nunnally, the student council … you've all become so important to me." He walked towards you until you were standing face to face. "You above all else."
You gaped at seeing his face start to flush red and his green eyes became glossy and … tempted. "I … I am?"
He looked a bit stunned before his face broke out into a smile. "Aw, come on. You honestly can't see why?"
What happened next took you by surprise, almost as much as Lelouch's did.
The feeling of Suzaku's lips pressed against your other cheek; once normal but now burning with heat from those soft velvety lips of his. He pulled back to give a bashful smile, scratching his cheek, "Is that enough proof for you?"
You gingerly touched your cheek, feeling the warmth beneath your fingertips, as butterflies fluttered in your stomach and your heart was racing quickly. But that's when you noticed his green eyes glow; those mesmerizing emerald gems now stuck upon your awaiting face. His eyes softened as did his smile.
Your cheeks burned as you smiled shyly at him. "I … think so."
Suzaku laughed softly before holding your hands. "Y/n, you do mean that much to me. This past month spent in school with you, sharing classes and having study sessions, even just spending time with you like that has been … wonderful." You smiled the more he talked, leaning closer as did he when you noticed his eyes looking over you to far behind you; suspicion laced in them. "It's getting late. I should head back to my place. Have a good night … " Suzaku pulled your hands up to litter gentle kisses on top of them, making you smile bashfully, " … Y/n."
You took him by surprise as you leaned up to kiss his cheek "Good night, Suzaku."
You waved good-bye as his goofy smiling face looked back at you over his shoulder as he waved back too while hurrying off, almost falling over his feet from not watching where he was going, causing you to laugh out loud at his stumble.
But unbeknownst to you but not to the brunette was that Lelouch was watching outside his bedroom window.
He watched his best friend kiss your cheek as he did earlier.
He watched as Suzaku ran off, leaving you smiling and blushing as you felt yourself floating off your feet as you walked back inside.
He did not look happy. Not one bit.

Talking a bit about Kallen's story arc
I came across a comment on Reddit not long ago (in case you don't know, it's a nest of C.C. fanboys) saying that Kallen was overrated since she had nothing beyond her relationship with Lelouch and the episode with her mom. It is not the first time I have read an opinion like that, although, fortunately, it is not very frequent.
Actually, Kallen does have a character arc. It's just that it's developed in a very subtle way. And by that I mean that I didn't realize what it was the second or third time I watched Code Geass, but much later. This is because the series doesn't tell you directly, they show it to you. I understood it better after reading Kallen's poem. Everything she says there is in the series. But they don't explain it to you with words like in the poem. The same thing happened to me with Euphemia's little story arc (yes, she has one of her own).
Tumblr media
At its core, Kallen's story arc is about transitioning from a reckless and immature girl who finds herself adrift to a selfless heroine with a purpose that transcends her. It is a coming-age story in all its definition. In that sense, it is essentially similar to the Lelouch arc as the rebellion brings out the best version of themselves. This is compassion, empathy, altruism. It's not very noticeable because Kallen isn't Machiavellian like Lelouch is, although she is just as pragmatic. One of the best samples you have of Kallen's development is in the penultimate episode of the first season.
In the early episodes, Kallen is deeply concerned with protecting her identity to the point that she does not hesitate to take risky actions that include killing others. But, in this penultimate episode, when the members of the Student Council refuse to obey the Black Knights thinking that they would harm them, Kallen unmasks herself before them to calm them down and ask them to trust them. Kallen prioritized the safety of her friends over her secret. The thing is that she had already done it before. By Zero. Kallen comes out of her Guren to ask Suzaku to let Zero go in episode 18 of the first season. She again places more importance on the safety of her leader than her identity. The difference between the two moments is that she calmly makes the decision to reveal herself in episode 24. That was not her last option as it was in episode 18.
Tumblr media
You'd think there wouldn't be any further development for Kallen in season two. But it's not true and, personally and based on Kallen's poem, I like to see her relationship with Lelouch as a temptation for her (temptation in the sense that it can lead her astray). Characters in visual media are often built on two pillars: what they want versus what they need, and up until that point, Kallen hadn't had to choose because the choice was so clear. That is, she had not faced a challenge. By the end, however, she must choose between the boy she loves and doing the right thing, and though Lelouch helps her choose the latter by keeping quiet about his feelings, Kallen decides of her own free will to do the right thing and, by extension, embrace her identity, her values and her brother's dream. Not caring that Lelouch has returned the kiss. Also in this second season Kallen is consolidated as the best Knightmare pilot of the series. Her most badass moments are here (and there are still people who have the nerve to say that she was relegated to the background; sorry, man, you're talking about C.C.).
I would like in the remote future to both write an individual analysis of Kallen as well as an analysis of her (misconstrued) relationship with Lelouch. On my Code Geass Facebook page I do it in Spanish and I use this space to address the international community. Now I am watching Code Geass again with a good channel of reactions on YouTube (since 2020 I have imposed the tradition of watching Code Geass once a year and with them I will fulfill my purpose for this 2023...) . I will see what new things I will discover now. I discovered what I have just told you on my return visit last year.
Fans only complain about her fanservice, spit on her relationship with Lelouch, accuse her of things she never did, and judge her harshly. They never take Kallen seriously. I want to be the first to do it, if no one with good analytical skills does it.

Note
can we hear the code geass rant 👀
i'm not gonna do a dissertation with like perfect recall of my sources bc i haven't watched it since it aired (almost 20 years now. horrifying??) and i have no intention of putting myself through that again spoilers ahead
my number 1 problem with it is that, as a whole, this series just fundamentally hates women. like to the point where even my teenaged ass that had much more patience for casual misogyny back in the day was taken aback with a "hey what the fuck"- like i think a lot about the specific ways a lot of the female characters were just killed off in incredibly brutal ways for Shock and also mostly to just make the male leads sad for a little bit. (i really haven't seen a good reason for why shirley had to die and she had to die Like That) (and like she is far from the only one but her death was a Breaking Point for me) . or like. the general treatment of kallen- who got built up as a competent knight but then mostly just got sexually harassed and left to make sad faces at lelouch. it's just- i don't feel like any of the female characters got to achieve real agency (which hits esp weird in a series so concerned about Agency and Control) nunnally gets her own section bc it's just like. this horrible mix of ableism and misogyny. where like she literally gets written as and treated as a plot macguffin. i don't think the series would be fundamentally different if lelouch was looking after his mother's beloved pet dog (who might've gotten to say more let's be real here) or a family heirloom. the writers use her disabilities to objectify her- that is, to have the other characters and the world itself treat her as an object. and honestly seem deeply unconcerned with her inner life outside of "precious innocent widdle sister" the other female character that gets her own section is nina. who is genuinely and truly. the worst example of a psycho lesbian trope i have ever seen in my life. like just taps right into the predatory lesbian trope and doesn't bother giving her a personality other than Being A Creep and also Racism. and that's the only gay character. aside from the misogyny, i also just generally felt like the show focused harder on Shocking The Audience rather than coherent writing. (which y'know. hard to have coherent writing when you're deeply dedicated to never writing any of the female characters) i feel like a lot of the political messaging was hamstrung by the focus on audience-via-Lelouch's arrogant asshole power fantasies too and it has been like 20 years since i've seen it (and i also watched it having not known much about the political context), but i think there is something to be said about the way code geass decontextualizes actual historical patterns of colonization, particularly in regards to their own imperial history and related atrocities.

Custom Toonami Block Week 204 Rundown
Code Geass: Rozé of the Recapture: So despite the cliffhanger last time, the fall of the Damocles is only a problem for like two minutes before they drop it in a park and minimalize casualties, so all that shit about how this was really the bad guys’ plan the whole time was either bunk or it was just a really bad plan. Discount Char is fine with the outcome for some reason presumably because we can’t go killing Knights every time a mission fails or the series will only be three episodes long. They send Nina off and it’s kinda weird for her to be the legacy character that gets the most focus of all things, like yeah she probably does have the most impact on the future but now they’re pretty sure there aren’t any more Fleijas so it’s just a weird choice to go “hi, bye” for. Sakura asks Catherine to help her be stronger so she can face everyone that’s been hurt in this conflict and we get kind of a cute moment of Catherine getting flustered by her strength-based hierarchy being challenged by someone who’s essentially powerless trying their hardest to do what they can. Meanwhile Sakuya’s taking her parents’ death anniversary off and so we have more maid café shenanigans with her and Ash. She bugs his jacket and overhears a conversation when he and Narah cross paths that he didn’t really kill her father and just harbors guilt for it happening and has a martyr complex. Narah also tells him she stays on the evil side so she can protect people from Anti-Britannian racism since there were understandably some hurt feelings after the thousand year empire of racism came crumbling down and apparently the orphanage she and Ash grew up in got caught up in it and also Discount Char is Ash’s adopted dad. This whole conversation is a lot of infodumping and it’s made all the funnier by them awkwardly trying to keep pointing guns at each other while driving and Sakuya chasing them on a motorcycle in a maid dress. Sakuya ends up rethinking her plans to kill Ash while Sakura muses over hearing a coded message that Sakuya is doing well and turns out the new guard replacing Catherine for the day knows about her not actually being Sakuya and confronts her about it while she’s naked because what kind of show did you think this was. Also the stinger seems to imply that Ash was the one that murdered all the orphanage people.
Ranma ½: It’s the end of the ice skating arc and okay there’s a lot more ice left than they were showing at the end of last episode, like before it looked like mostly water with some ice islands, now it looks like mostly ice with some ravines of water. Either way hijinks ensue as Ranma and Ryoga do their fakeout shenangians against the ice skater couples’ fakeout shenanigans and it’s all very silly until Ryoga manages to lift huge chunks of ice that basically KO’s everyone else and puts this whole silly arc to bed. Akane gets hit in the crossfire of the fight after the fight and Ryoga jumps in to save her from the water because she doesn’t know how to swim (headcanoning that Akane at a Devil Fruit rn) and Ranma covers for Ryoga and gives him the credit for saving her. Wasting absolutely NO time we jump right into the next arc as Ranma’s death challenge amazon woman Shampoo (seriously was Ms. Rumiko just looking around her house for these names, Tofu, Shampoo, like this lady’s Chinese it doesn’t make any sense) who has a vendetta against girl!Ranma for breaking her insular warrior code and defeating her but loves male!Ranma when he accidentally does the exact same thing, Amazonian double standards are weird. Still I like the language barrier shenanigans they have with her and she has a fun design and of course it’s yet another character to have the exact opposite reaction to the different Ranmas, it’s just the sword guy in reverse.
Arcane: It’s Viktor’s episode and that means I have to actually learn his name instead of calling him Jayce’s boyfriend the whole time. He’s busy sulking over his impending death and reminiscing his start into the sciences while Jayce is kind of having a breakdown and being very vulnerable with his new girlfriend and seems a lot more comfortable with the whole thing that she does, like I get the vibe Mel’s taking this as more of a friends with benefits thing and Jayce seems more serious. Meanwhile Vi and Cait are fleeing Silco’s men and giving them the slip which is making enough noise for Jinx to find out Vi’s back and/or not dead, apparently that was Cop #2’s thing to tell Silco she was dead but he just put her in prison and never bothered to put a “do not release under any circumstances” on Vi’s file, like I’m pretty sure Silco will have had guys in prison at some point, like he’s gotta have connections in there he’s a criminal there’s gotta be ties to get people in/out if they get captured how did he not know this? Like he can do all the ominous daughter block playing he wants but part of that’s on him, police dude hid someone the criminals were looking for in the place where criminals go. Vi takes Cait to the… Undead Burg I guess and hide out from her stab wound and they get some sketchy venom liquid from one of the local Hollows. Meanwhile Professor Porg hears Jayce say “Magic that learns” and is ready to shut down that generative AI shit before it gets out of hand but of course people aren’t ready to give up their Hexphones that easily and there’s the whole saving Viktor’s life with Human Transmutation thing that has Jayce on edge which gets Professor Porg kicked off the council, like Jayce I get and Mel’s got her thing with him and we established the dumb king guy just goes with whatever she does but idk about the other two, just peer pressure I guess. Vi recovers and faces off with Silco, stapling his grasp again and finally meeting up with Jinx after she sends up the flare to reunite with her. Things are cool for half a second before Jinx’s neuropathy kicks in and Vi has a moment to let it sink in what a Harley Quinn monster her sister has become and like girl you said you knew she’d do what she had to to survive and she wouldn’t be alive at this point if she wasn’t at least a little bloodthirsty. Either way Cait loses the Hexphone 2.0 in a fight with the Firelights and they take Vi so Jinx is back to being alone and crazy instead of together and crazy.
Dandadan: Picking up right where we left off last time, I’m glad the series isn’t glossing over the “how do they live after being caught naked at school” dilemma, ironically Okarun’s the only one unaffected which is ironic since he was the only one actually naked but he is a male and has no friends so I guess no one’s interested in calling him on it. The beginning half is mostly just arc cleanup and we get the fallout with various friendgroups because both main girls have exactly two secondary friends to react to stuff and Momo’s friends get a funny little moment here where they were thinking Momo and Aira were dueling naked to the death for Okarun’s heart, good stuff, most of the time these sorts of characters are just glorified background characters that exist solely to confirm that a character has a social life and I’m glad they’re getting fleshed out a bit. Okarun also theorizes that ghosts and aliens kind of keep each other in check and supernatural stuff basically protects the earth from all the sci-fi stuff, given that the alien stuff is also slowly getting more fleshed out and it’s looking like a very scary, silly Rick and Morty universe this is probably something good to nail down for the intersectionality this series is based in. Aira meanwhile as the most socially conscious of the group does have to deal with the fallout of her lies about Momo and does come clean even though it hurts her image, showing her growth as a character even if she won’t admit it to Momo’s face. They come across the Shrimp Alien and we get his tragic backstory about his son needing daily blood transfusions and it’s very silly because it turns out their blood is milk and they prove this by giving him a glass of the stuff and telling him to drink it. Idk how shrimp blood works but if aliens gave me a glass of blood and told me to drink it to check and see I’d be like ‘wtf you people are monsters, drinking blood is not good for you’ but it turns out to be a good enough match so Seiko sets him up with a cow to abduct and as long as nothing ever happens to that cow and it lives forever they’ll be fine, I mean I’m just saying he’s probably just gonna be back in a few years for another cow, prolly should’ve given him a breeding pair at least to keep him going for a while. Meanwhile while everyone’s on cooldown and back in hijinks mode, Momo’s childhood friend/crush Jiji stops into to stir up trouble and cause drama because this romance arc was going a little too smoothly.
Gleipnir: So the Hobo Boss has the group dead to rights and honestly what follows reminds me a lot of Negan’s intro in The Walking Dead, guy gives his philosophy, tries to make it sound reasonable and then tells everyone to pick a sacrifice to apologize for hurting their man. He quickly realizes what a fucking psycho Clair is and takes a liking to her personality (among other things) and he explains his method of gathering scumbags and pooling coins to dump into him and he does whatever they want him to do with that kind of power, making sure that anyone who joins them has the resolve to do nasty things as well as the compliance to bend the knee. Telescope guy quickly realizes no one likes him so he’s basically dead anyway but instead of being honorable and doing a heroic sacrifice he decides to be a bitch to the very end. Clair makes flower guy make poison flowers to smoke them out and poison everyone basically doing the Hunter x Hunter Rose Bomb plan on a budget, I mentioned Negan earlier but this whole episode did get very Walking Dead with the “I’ll do what I have to to make sure the group survives” theming, I don’t necessarily have a problem with Clair using her natural psychopathy for the greater good I’m just a little concerned with how quickly she had this plan ready like she has a twelve of the most dickish war crimes in her back pocket in case she needs them, even using the guy’s one redeemable trait against him in trying to save his group. Telescope guy tries to warn them but that activates Sayaka’s noose quirk thing because we had to see that in action at least once in the series. Clair goes on about how her sister feels the same way about all the bad shit she’s done and how she thinks she wants Clair to be the one to set her free from it by killing her and I’m very doubtful of that given we’ve established Clair’s sister’s character is full Shuichi yandere and barely even registers Clair as a player and Clair seems to think she’s a lot more important to her than she is so this is all probably a heft dose of cope.
Trigun: We actually get a neat little bit of continuity to start the episode off as Vash gives the credit for catching last episode’s escaped convicts to the town that needs the money for their plant restoration, did feel a little odd that plot thread was left open though it begs the question would Vash even be able to claim the bounty? Like no one seems to know who he is anyway and the convicts did seem to think they could claim Vash’s bounty so maybe they don’t care who brings in the bounty idk. Either way Meryl is trying to cope with the fact that the bozo they’ve been following around and she’s slowly gaining attachment to really is the legendary outlaw she’s looking for and part of her still doesn’t believe it. Meanwhile a woman comes on a giant sand ship to fix the town’s plant and it turns into a segment of “The author’s barely disguised fetish” as she treats Vash like a pet dog while using him as a bodyguard while in town. We get some more lore about the plants and how they do… science stuff… to basically make life possible on the desert planet this show takes place on, nobody knows where they come from and the IT guys that fix them are basically illuminati taking their secrets to the grave and passing the knowledge through generations. Vash manages to defeat the assassin coming after this lady but she locks them both in the plant while triggering it to melt down because Vash destroyed her town when she was little and amazingly didn’t kill anyone but still caused the whole amount of economic strife that you’d imagine a whole town getting blown up would caused, and even worse he hasn’t aged a day despite this girl easily being in her twenties, almost like he’s some sort of Plant Man or something. Either way he… absorbs the plant’s… science light and stops the meltdown, saving the woman from destroying the town like he did to her and apologizing for not being able to oblige her request to kill him. He says he can’t remember if he did or didn’t destroy the town and aside from backstory fragments being in the town’s ruins are the first thing he remembers at all. She initially just wants to kill him to make herself feel better even if she can’t be sure if her revenge or justified or even properly directed, but bemoans the target of her spite being such a kind and honest man. Lots of extra lore stuff this time around and hints at Vash’s mysterious past which I only have vague memories of but yeah shit’s starting to ramp up.
Revolutionary Girl Utena: It’s a Wakaba episode and it’s kinda unclear whether or not this’ll be a filler episode or not until the very end. Wakaba meets up with her old childhood friend who’s actually going after Utena romantically atm, given the guy is a guy he doesn’t have a chance but Utena senses Wakaba is the one that likes him so humors things to get them to talk out their feelings. It’s kind of unclear how much of their past is glamorized by Wakaba since even in the flashback he’s not exactly enthusiastically playing along with the prince role she gives him, Still Utena does sit them down and get them to talk things out, convincing the guy Tatsuya to go confess to her after he admits that he was confessing to Utena to get to Wakaba because they’re so close which idk that didn’t seem to be the case but if that’s what we’re going with sure. The two meet on a romantic hill at sunset and do their confession and Wakaba “If only there was someone who loved you”s him like damn bro, I thought the scene was a little to sincere to play completely straight but this show is also old and awkward sometimes so I wasn’t sure so it completely caught me off-guard. Tatsuya goes to the Black Rose Clinic and just when you think they’re gonna have a five second fight with Utena to round out the episode, his psychoanalysis stops when they go as deep as they can and he doesn’t have any desire to hurt Wakaba for hurting him, he believes in true love and thinks she’ll find him in the end which may be a bit delusional but point being there’s no actual malice in his heart for her and nothing for the Black Rose to latch onto so Souji has to awkwardly stand there like “Bro wtf you doing here, you can’t Revolutionize the world, gtfo” like I’mma be honest, I thought Tatsuya was boring as fuck but the fact that he’s so boring they can’t twist his character to hurt people is kinda endearing, like weaponized blandness, like he’s not a great soul and still kinda feels entitled to Wakaba tbh but he’s a good enough egg that he blames himself for not being good enough for her and doesn’t bear her any actual ill will. Instead we get a small scene of Wakaba returning hom and oh fuck Sayonji’s back, he’s done his Chazz Princeton rich boy humbling arc and has hopefully got over his domestic abuse habits and Wakaba is now in a secret relationship with him and took Tatsuya’s confession to mean he knows about Sayonji and asking him to keep it a secret because he’s so roundabout about it. I love these episodes where they twist the formula up because I did NOT see any of that coming.

I couldn't post this earlier, but Rolo's alt arrived even faster in Lost Stories than Genesic Re;Code! Good thing that I have no temptation to gacha for other characters and I'm permanently prepared for any unexpected Rolos...
Tumblr media
"Rolo [The First Time of Peacefulness]" (Taken from the official twitter account) The translation for the lines he says on the video above: (When scouted) "If it's with brother, I'd like to go to an aquarium or the sea together..." (Right after he's scouted) "The clothes that brother bought for me... I need to wear them carefully so I don't get them dirty." (First login screen) "The outfit he bought for me when I went out with big brother the other day… The student council members also said that it suits me." (Regular login screen until the last day) "I should tell brother that everyone said it suits me... Wait, why would I need to do such a thing? He's just a surveillance subject..." I'll upload the last login screen and the rest of his home/battle lines another day, as I don't have enough pizza items to earn his Trust by refilling my stamina over and over like I did last time. But here's a few notes for now: ・Judging by the name "first time of peacefulness" and the fact that Rolo refers to Lelouch as "just a surveillance subject", I assume Lelouch bought his little brother this incredibly tacky and I mean that in a good way outfit while his memories were still altered. However, whereas “Rolo [Fake Little Brother]” is treated as an Ashford Academy and Office of Secret Intelligence unit, "Rolo [The First Time of Peacefulness]" also adds Black Knights to the groups he's affiliated with... ・Furthermore, although I haven't seen any of his Trust interactions yet, this Rolo uses informal Japanese when addressing Mario/Maya (the player) in his Home lines, which suggests a closer relationship than they had during the chronological point in time that “Rolo [Fake Little Brother]” belongs to. More explicitly, "Rolo [The First Time of Peacefulness]" mentions that Lelouch is searching for a place to hide the Knightmares, so the only possible conclusion is that some of his lines are meant to take place before Turn 1 and others after Turn 4...? ・It's so endearing how excited Rolo is about his new outfit and how he's careful not to soil it… How adorable can he get? How many people have lost their lives merely from coming into contact with his clothes? ・This Rolo has a skill called "It's because I'm with Brother that it's fun" (兄さんとだから楽しいんだ) which increases his HP and defense based on the number of Lelouchs placed on the battlefield... That's the kind of skill I would have made up as a joke while brainstorming a potential Geass game 15 years ago, and now it's a reality! I love Lost Stories!! Oh, I didn't post this last time, so here are both Rolos' "full body" (you can't see the shoes) illustrations:

A lot to say about this episode! Some bad, some good.
The main sour note is just, man, do we reaaaaaaally have to call the prison that. I'm not sure if the use of the term "concentration camp" is to be blamed on the subtitlers or the writers (a bit of on-screen text actually says *relocation* camp instead, although I think that's just a euphemism for the other thing anyway), but like, it is possible to push these things too far. (The original series sometimes did so as well, so it's not like this is a sin unique to Roze', but still.) It's very much a down note in an otherwise pretty good episode, and it put a damper on my mood. Not mentioning it would also just feel irresponsible. So! There it is. I don't know why they did that and I'm not gonna attempt to excuse it.
Anyway, the actual prison liberation itself is pretty good and very action-packed. The show's establishing a pattern here with Ash taking down arrogant Britannian knights that is admittedly a cheap thrill but one that I'm pretty into. I like his little speeches when he inevitably bests them.
There are two main things we learn in this episode. One; Sakuya and Sakura don't seem to actually be related and instead have a royal body double situation going on. What does this open us up for? Why, Code Geass Yuri, of course. I'm not going to blow anyone's mind by praising wlw romantic tension in a show when my blog is called "yurisorcerer", but nonetheless, I am going to say; good job with that, Roze' of the Recapture.
The other thing is that hey, it turns out that Sakuya-as-Roze' doesn't have as straightforward a relationship with Ash as we were initially led to believe (who could've seen that coming?). Given the flashback we're shown, the case seems to be that Ash is under a very complicated iteration of Sakuya's geass, and in fact plans to kill him after she's completed her tasks of rescuing Sakura and freeing Area 11 from the Neo-Britannian yoke, to "avenge her father." We'll learn more about that in the weeks to come, I'd guess. It really feels like Sakuya is a very complex character that we're only getting to look at one layer at a time. I like that, it makes her notably distinct from Lelouch whose whole deal we basically understood right away even if it later became more complicated.
So, yeah, in spite of my major complaint, this was a solid episode. (I could complain about the fanservice too if I wanted to, but honestly i'm disinclined to do so. Code Geass Ass Shots make a proud return here after being absent in the first week, if that moves the needle for you either way.) I'd put it about on par with the first episode overall.

I need to go to sleep, but the Delicious in Dungeon/Dungeon Meshi discussion is reminding me of Attack on Titan/Shingeki no Kyojin. When the title sounds weird in English, and the Japanese isn't too hard to grasp, I can see why people prefer the Japanese. For Dungeon Meshi I feel like it makes even more sense because Dungeon is borrowed so directly from English, so "Dungeon Meshi" is not hard to say. It's shorter, even. I get why it needed an English title, because meshi isn't a commonly known word, but I bet it'll become a lot more well known now.
I feel like this might be an ongoing list of how titles get treated, as I think of them.
All English (=fully translated)
Captain Corinth
Assassination Classroom (Ansatsu Kyoshitsu)
Fullmetal Alchemist (Hagane no Renkinjutsushi)
Beyond the Boundary (Kyoukai no Kanata)
The Summer Hikaru Died (Hikaru ga Shinda Natsu)
Classroom of the Elite (??)
the Grimoire one...wait, Grimgar
Your Lie in April (shigatsu wa kimi no uso)
Attack on Titan (shingeki no kyojin)
Blood Blockade Battlefront (?) (Kekkai Sensen)
The Executioner and her Way of Life (and good thing they did, too... something something virgin road)
Erased (Boku dake ga inai machi)
The Saga of Tanya the Evil...?
The Night is Long, Walk On Girl (I definitely have that wrong)
Black Butler (but I call it Kuroshitsuji so often I almost forgot about the English name)
Run on Your New Legs (?)
Laughing Under the Clouds (donten ni warau)
All Japanese (includes Japanese words that aren't proper nouns)
Akane-banashi
Oshi no Ko
Gintama
Yugioh
Haikyuu!!
Hikaru no Go
Asobi Asobase
Kagurabachi
Tegami-bachi (I think)
(Tengan Toppa) Gurren Lagann
Yamishibai
Jujutsu Kaisen
Toradora
To-rabu (?)
Uma-musume (?) ('Horse girl' just doesn't sound right >>)
Doraemon (this sound probably go in the "both anyway" category
Sazae-san?
Nanbaka
Dorohedoro
[It's probably examining which ones I put in this category versus which ones I put in 'It's Both Anyway' that's interesting]
Some Japanese, some English (/some proper noun):
Bungo Stray Dogs
My/Boku no Hero Academia
Fugou Keiji Balance Unlimited (?) (I called it the Daisuke anime, anyway)
Blue Exorcist
Katekyo Hitman Reborn
Kaiju No.8 (I'm counting Kaiju as the English word)
Ranma 1/2
Kado: The Right Answer (Sekaisuru Kado) (these categories are starting to blur)
Jojo's Bizarre Adventure (Jojo no Kimyou na Bouken)
Arslan... (Arslan Senki)
March Comes in Like a Lion (sangatsu no lion) (??)
Yona of the Dawn (Akatsuki no Yona) (I often just call it Yona)
Gargantia on the Verduous Planet (Suisei no Gargantia)
Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid (... meidoragon?)
Ya Boy Kongming (Paripi Koumei) well, I guess technically that's fully translated...
Ouran High School Host Club (Ouran koukou host-bu)
Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles (does it have more Japanese...?)
Wandance!
Crayon Shin-chan (I think the -chan keeps it out of the 'but both' category)
Seraph of the End (owari no seraph)
Vampire Knight (it was Vampire Kishi, right??)
Keep it but add on:
Ajin: Demi-Human
Magi (??)
Ano Hana ? (this actually seems like a good fit for this category)
Bofuri?
It's both anyway: (or it's a name/proper noun)
Bleach
Naruto
Undead Unluck
MamaYuYu
Free!
Noragami
Code Geass
Fruits Basket (had to keep the s on Fruits I guess)
SkipBeat
Hunter x Hunter
Yuri on Ice
Ruroni Kenshin
Inuyasha
Given
Yuyu Hakusho
Karneval
Boys Run the Riot
Re:Zero (??)
Black Clover
i tell c
FLCL (sorta?)
Evangelion
Cowboy Bebop
One Piece
Death Note
Sword Art Online
Chobits
Macross
Sailor Moon (I guess really bishoujo senshi sailor moon)
Claymore
Kill la Kill (sorta?)
Date-A-Live
D.Gray-man
No.6
Chainsaw Man
Mob Psycho 100
Angel Beats
Brand New Animal
Made in Abyss (??)
Deadman Wonderland
Zombieland Saga (is that right? Also Saga is doing so much there)
Cantarella
Wind Breaker (?)
Cardcaptor Sakura (??)
I'm thinking it may mostly have to do with whether they were already out when I heard about them, or they gained traction before official release (...of the anime...?)

I watched episode 19 of Code Geass last night and it feels like I've completely lost the plot. I know that's intentional. I didn't actually miss an episode in there. They're being confusing and ambiguous on purpose. It's supposed to be mysterious. Well, mission accomplished!
We open with Suzaku alone on a deserted island and he doesn't remember how he got there. He wanders around and finds Kallen bathing in a waterfall. He realizes she's a Black Knight when he sees her uniform... So I guess he didn't see her on the battlefield last episode? Or is that part of the amnesia thing that's happening? Kallen seems to remember everything except how she got to the island.
Elsewhere on the island... Lelouch stumbles across Euphemia - both of them wondering how they got here. But Euphemia knows that Lelouch is Zero - I guess she recognized him and his dramatic posturing. So that's another person who knows who he is. His secret identity is getting less secret every day. And that feels especially precarious because he's not just some schoolkid... He's Britannian nobility that's supposed to be dead.
We get some amusing parallels between Suzaku and Lelouch as they try to survive on this island. Suzaku is catching fish with his bare hands and cooks up a tasty dinner for Kallen and himself. Lelouch struggles to dig a hole and Euphemia winds up gathering fruit for them to eat.
We get some discussion between Kallen and Suzaku about the "right" way to fight a war.
We get some reminiscing between Euphemia and Lelouch about their childhood.
Meanwhile - folks are looking for them.
The mysterious flying ship is apparently called the Avalon. And the dramatic blonde guy we briefly saw is Schneizel - another Britannian prince and Prime Minister of the Britannian Empire. He's on this island looking for Suzaku and Euphemia... But also investigating the ruins of a "Thought Elevator"
The Black Knights are keeping a low profile in their submarine, bickering with each-other about whether they should abandon Zero or not.
Eventually the two lost parties stumble across each-other. They scuffle a bit... But somehow trigger part of the Though Elevator. Stuff glows and shakes and falls apart. They tumble into the midst of Schneizel's group and a gunfight breaks out.
Lelouch and Kallen escape in some new experimental Knightmare Freme named the Gawain.
As the episode ends we get a flashback and discover that Lelouch used his Geass to order Suzaku to "live" - which caused him to flee the battlefield at the last moment. So Suzaku is arrested for insubordination. I'm curious how far this command to "live" is going to extend... Was it just that one moment? Or will it influence his character-development moving forward?
We also see that Britannia is being attacked. A whole fleet of ships flying Japan's flag is storming the beaches.
It's never explained how everyone got transported to the deserted island. We see CC talking to herself again... She suggests that it was all some kind of prank or trick... But I've still got no idea who she's talking to.
So - only about 5 episodes left this season and big things are happening very fast.

The picture drama begins with Cecile making a report about a battle which happened between Britannia and the E.U. army which ended up with a britannian victory, despite a strong defense from the opponents, thanks to the strenght of Suzaku Kururugi; As she keeps on insisting about Suzaku's achievements, the hero of the day interrupt her, concerned about her excessive flattering; This doesn't stop Cecile who keeps going on, talking about his new status as a Knight of the emperor and how it still didn't changed who he was. As Suzaku tried to lower his doing, Anya and Gino interrupts, supporting that he indeed achieved a lot and how excessive modesty can sound quite sarcasm; Suza ku insist that it wasn't his goal but that he just doesn't like excessive praising. Cecile then muses about how he must feel guilty about his achievements as, on the other side he is names things like "the traitor knight" or the killer of his own peopleAs Gino mocks Suzaku and says he himself enjoys being praised, to which Anya says they noticed, Suzaku hears something; He runs away as he mentions he heard a girl's voice; Searching through rumble he managed to take out a little girl from under a pile of stones; The little girl is weak, she was hidden while waiting for the sound of battle to stop. Suzaku wants her to get help, as she might be hurt, but she is looking for her dad; Suzaku tells her they'll search for him latter and ask Cecicle for a way to give her medical attention; As Suzaku talks about using the Lancelot to bring the girl to medical care, she reacts in fear;
Tumblr media
She eventually begins to scream at Suzaku he is a murdrer who killed her dad, her brother and her uncle, who were all nice and fighting to protect their country; She calls him a devil, to which Suzaku silently listen without trying to snap back. As she keeps going on she suddently fall limp, having been shot by a tranquilizor Anya admonished her. Gino then comments with a smile about the strong surviving and the weak dying and how that is the law of the battlefield. Suzaku interrupts and say the strong should protect, or else he wouldn't be different from Zero: Gino comments about how weird of a guy he is and both him and Anya ask him if he became a soldier because of power or money ; They are interrupted by the emperor soldiers who have come to pick up Suzaku because the emperor wants to celebrate the achievements as a kishin (ogre). Gino thinks it doesn't fit Suzaku but Suzaku says it does, because he killedand betrayed; Cecile tries to counter but Suzaku is decided. Eventually he asks her to take care of the girl and conclude with the fact he has to keep going on his path.
************************* Code Geass Picture Drama Turn 0.923 (Happens just before the beginning of R2 )
Tumblr media
You can watch it here
It starts with C.C. and Kallen who are staying in a safe house as roomates and are currently laying on their beds. C.C. notices that Kallen is roaming through pictures of Lelouch, to which Kallen claims she does for surveillance purposes leading C.C. to suggest otherwise anyway, calling her a "peeping tom". C.C. decides to change the subject and asks Kallen what they are going to do for food tonight leading Kallen to wonder how C.C. can still be looking for food right now; She then mentions how the two are staying in this safe house under the guise of C.C. as a frail, older sister and Kallen as her supportive, cute, hard-working younger sister and thinks C.C. should try to act her part, to which C.C. replies that she needs nourishment in order to get better. Kallen eventually tells her to just reheat the pot and eat it. C.C. however, complains that she has to eat curry and rice again for the second day in a row. She then straightens up and asks Kallen when Urabe will arrive. Kallen knows that C.C. is not waiting for him, but for the provisions that he brings for them; C.C. mentions how the food Urabe brought the week before was a work of art and that the miso soup was handmade, but she also states that he has no sense of taste; As she mocks Kallen for her cooking, Kallen snaps back and tells her she isn't even able to make a bowl of rice; C.C. tells her that when she really wants to, she can do anything.
Tumblr media
Kallen tells C.C. that she could then try to to clean up the room as it is filthy, but C.C. responds that she will when she becomes tired of it and ultimately pushes the blame back to Kallen who refuses to listen; After that Kallen comes to show some picture of Lelouch to C.C., noticing how he plays piano and does various things ; C.C. knows most of it and teases Kallen when she notices her reacting weirdly to that; They keep on sorting Lelouch's pictures, noticing him gambling, or commenting on Shirley self inserting when Lelouch helps Rivalz for his homsework; Kallen mentions to C.C. that she has to see Lelouch again to confirm something when they suddenly get a call from Urabe, informing her that preparations for the airship are complete; After that C.C. muses about how she’ll make Lelouch’s halted time move ahead again while Kallen on the other hand feels that Lelouch has to become Zero again, or else…
************************ Code Geass Picture Drama Turn 7.19 (Happens after Turn 7)
Tumblr media
You can watch it here
The picture drama begins as Lelouch narrates, wondering about what shape happiness would take if it could be seen In deep thought, he remarks that a kinder, gentler world must indeed exist. He then reminisces about a happy memory from his time at Ashford Academy. Kallen shrieks in discomfort as Shirley tries to tighten an unfinished dress around Kallen's body in the student council room; as Nina and Milly comments about how ecchi this sounded, Shirley apologizes for touching Kallen; While Shirley keeps on working on the dress, Milly comments that although Shirley might not look like it, she is at least capable at sewing; Shirley is annoyed by the patronizing. Nunnally and Milly then reveal that the girls of the Student Council are preparing for the upcoming Handmade Dress Party. The dresses are handmade so the party wont become a contest of girls comparing brand-names and price tags. As they keep on talking about the party, Milly questions Kallen on who will be her escort to which Kallen replies that she has not decided yet. Shirley cautiously asks if it will be Lelouch, causing Kallen to turn flustered. The girls take her reaction as an evidence she thought about picking him, to which Kallen quickly insists that this is a misunderstanding and that arrogant guys like Lelouch are not her type. They then persist and ask whether Suzaku or Rivalz might be the one, drawing a stronger denial from Kallen. While the girls keeps on talking, Lelouch, Suzaku, and Rivalz are carrying supplies down the hall when they all mysteriously begin to sneeze in succession. Rivalz suggests that this is the kind of sneezing that people get when others are talking about them and gleefully wonders if the girls are thinking about them. Lelouch brings up the topic of the escorts and says the girls must be talking about who will be going with who to the party. He then says that he will be escorting Nunnally as he always does; When Suzaku suggests that he could escort Nunnally instead, Lelouch reacts with nervousness and apprehension; While he says he trusts Suzaku, Lelouch brings up various excuses for why he must be the one to escort Nunnally. Rivalz takes the chance to tease Lelouch about his obsessive over-protectiveness, commenting on Lelouch's "heartwarming" love for his younger sister.

Lelouch, Suzaku, and Rivalz enters the Student Council room as Milly presents an embarrassed Kallen in her new dress. The boys are stunned by the sight and begin to stare and compliment her. As a flustered Lelouch suggests that the dress indeed makes the woman, Nunnally scolds her brother, saying he shouldn't say that, even as a joke since he will be the one escorting Kallen. Lelouch is utterly shocked. Nunnally then happily reveals that she will be going with Suzaku because "she pulled his name". All the girls apparently used Nina's "3D Hyper Miracle Lottery" game to decide who their escorts would be. Shirley pulled Rivalz name, to which both react with disappointment and disgust. Upset over the results, Lelouch loudly denounces the lottery and sternly rejects the pairings. Kallen takes offence to this, asking Lelouch if she isn't good enough for him. Lelouch reluctantly tries to deny he said, that giving Nunnally the opportunity to affirm the issue is then settled, to which Lelouch reventually gives in. As the council begins to cheer for the upcoming party, Arthur, who has been strangely attracted to Kallen during the whole thing, begins to run around her feet, causing Kallen to panic, much to Shirley's distress as the dress isn't finished; As the dress fall under Kallen's very undignified shriek, the last panel shows Lelouch's blushing face over seeing *you own imagination there* Lelouch eventually narrates the present again. He remarks how, one year ago, every day was just like this childish episode. With a tinge of sadness, he closes by saying how he did not realize then how precious every little happy moment of that time would mean to him later on.

Guilford is surprised by the amount of knowledge that Cecile knows in gambling and she replies that it helps with her work stress. Kanon questions if it really works and then Cecile proposes the idea of all of them gambling sometime. He appears happy about it stating that it is good to get away from all of the royalty and the Knights of the Round who he is always stuck with. Meanwhile, Suzaku is with Gino playing the slot machines when it appears that Gino won the jackpot. Gino states that he is getting bored, while Suzaku says that the slots are probably slow because its the opening day (which in fact is due to their superhuman reflexes). After commmenting on how wonderful the food tastes, Anya suggests she tries some other kinds to which Nunnally accepts. Lloyd appears along with Cécile, Guilford, and Kanon who comments that Anya and Nunnally must be friends now. Kanon replies that it must be because of them being close in age. However, Schneizel appears and states that it must be their souls are being drawn together. But, Lloyd comments that a soul is unscientific. As Kanon looks at Schneizel and tells he never met someone so undetached with their feelings, they both remember a time at school when Schneizel was the perfect prefet, admired by everyone, and how he always thought that he was a model leader for everyone to follow. He then comments that even though Schneizel was nice, he wasn't afraid to use a whip to enforce rules. Schneizel replies stating that he never had to use a whip after making an example out of Kanon. Gino reappears with the rest of the group and asks Schneizel to gamble with him since he bested everyone else. After asking Kanon and Lloyd on whether he should gamble, Schneizel decides to and states that he will leave Gino completely defeated.
