i don't necessarily agree with the headcanon that cody and anakin dislike each other but if it were true, it'd very likely be because cody has started to sound a lot like obi-wan and anakin simply cannot take two of them

Clones as expectant fathers
I am an actual nero-cancer researcher. I have a job and a degree. And my ADHD brain saw sad military men and went “I want that one”
Clones: Rex, Wolffe, Fox, Cody and Fives
CW: pregnancy, the clones all have a ‘secret’ SO, They are expecting a baby, A little angsty with Fox, there's slight mentions of smut with Fives (if you squint), swearing, this is just supposed to be a good time, its not reader insert
Minors do not interact!
Rex
Terrified. Also overjoyed. But mostly terrified.
He’s a soldier. Captain of the 501st, the most….adventurous of the GAR. His chances of dying on the battlefield and leaving his SO behind are higher than the average clone
And now he may leave behind his child? His kid may grow up without a father
He gets nervous. Anxious and antsy, and it's very VERY easy for Anakin to figure out Rex isn’t entire OK
Rex doesn’t even need to tell Anakin.
Skywalker takes one look at him and just KNOWS.
“Congrats, Rex.” “...on what, sir?” “If it's a boy, name him after me.” “WHAT!?”
Ahsoka needs to be told and she’s more excited than Rex when she finds out.
“Come on Rex! Name them after me! The republic needs an Ahsoka jr!” “And if the baby is a boy?” “Don’t name them after skyguy, please!”
Most of the 501st don't know. Too many people knowing raises the chance of less accepting individuals knowing. And if that happens, Rex, his SO and his baby may be in danger.
It’s forbidden for the clones to have SO’s, not to mention babies. It could end with Rex being decommissioned or reconditioned if it was found out he had both
Rex will visit and help as much as he can every chance he gets. He feels terrible for leaving his SO for long stretches of time during the pregnancy.
He WANTS to be there…he just can’t. Not while the war was going on
Despite his terror, Rex is…overjoyed
He didn’t think children were possible for him. He knew it could happen, but he didn’t think HE would ever know this happiness
The first time he feels his baby move in his SO, he’d get this sweetest smile on his face. He’ll kiss the baby bump and just murmur words of love in mando’a
He falls head-over-heels in love all over again
As the due date approaches, Anakin asks an important question
“Captain, I need to know when your baby might be born.” “...why, sir?” “Because I need to know when to take extended leave.”
Anakin tells Padme, and she is beyond sweet. Even visits Rex’s SO and the two have a wonderful friendship
All in all, Rex is both excited and anxious. But having so much support from Anakin, Ahsoka and Padme (and his other brothers who find out much later) helps him a lot
Wolffe
More relaxed. And by relaxed I mean he hides his anxiety better. And it doesn’t exactly hit him as hard
Partly because Plo Koon and the entire Wolfpack knows about his relationship already.
So you bet your ass the pack celebrates when Wolffe tells them he's going to be a father
Plo Koon especially is excited
“How wonderful, new life being born during times of war” “I’m not naming my child after you, general Plo.” “Nonsense! The child will be a girl.”
During battle, Wolffe finds himself being protected by his brothers and General a tad more
At first he writes it off as a coincidence, but then Boost lets slip during a battle “You gotta get back to your little one!”
He gives his men a bit of a lecture. He’s not incapable of fighting or defending himself. He thinks the message gets across but Plo chimes in with, “Ah yes, the stern words of a father already!”
Wolffe would probably see his SO more frequently than Rex. Just because Plo would more than likely spend more time on Coruscant.
He’s definitely protective. As in, waking up in the middle of the night to check all the windows, protective. Keeping an arm around his SO, protective. Every symptom or sign of discomfort he calls a medical droid, protective.
He’s not stupid, he is well aware that by having an SO and a child on the way he's in violation of several rules. All of which, when broken, would have him decommissioned
But dammit, he's not letting that happen. Wolffe will be there for his SO and his baby, no matter what
Since he’s able to spend more time with his SO, he’s there to feel the first movements of his baby.
It sort of causes him to short-circuit for a second. It hits him that yes, this is a life that he and his SO both created. Out of love.
Wolffe makes a swear that he’s going to protect his baby at all costs
Grandpa Plo does as well, but the Wolfpack doesn’t know that
Fox (kinda angst)
First of all congratulations to the SO for actually managing to be Fox’s SO
They got to be something special for the head of Palpatine’s personal guard to break rules and regulations and find himself an SO
Speaking of Palpatine, congratulations to Fox! Your SO is now in even more danger!
No, seriously. Palpatine knows before Fox. No one knows how, but he knows.
And he absolutely will use Fox’s SO as leverage to keep him under control
And Fox knows this, so he behaves. More so than usual.
He’s not blind. Hes fiercely loyal to the republic, but one step out of line and the (very few) things he cares about will be killed
Which…is why Fox may come across as cold or uninterested when his SO informs him of their pregnancy
A part of him is terrified, he just won’t show it
He’s not going to be more affectionate or anything. He actually acts pretty normal. Which is standoffish.
Despite his…demeanor, he actually manages to be present for the entirety of the pregnancy. It helps being a Coruscant guard, which means he’s more present than all the other clones.
He’s not moving mountains or anything, but he’ll get snacks in the middle of the night in case of cravings
No one else knows about Fox and his SO. not even his own men. He refuses to tell anyone.
Its for his SO’s protection
But Palpatine, the sick fuck, slips some words to get Fox’s nerves into overdrive
“This war is taking such a toll. So many dead children…so many grief stricken parents” “Sir?” “Oh nothing. Just stating the fact that the loss of an innocent life, such as…a baby, is always a tragedy. Wouldn’t you agree, commander?”
He found himself walking home a bit faster that day and hugs his SO a little tighter that night
Fox cares, in his own way. He’s just beyond stressed and anxious. But you wouldn’t know. He hides it behind a mask.
It's actually Padme that finds out. And she feels somewhat bad for Fox. She thinks his anxiety comes from the fact that clones aren't allowed SO’s or children
Which, it is, but theres the added threat of fucking Palpatine.
She ends up getting him to tell her the truth and she swears to secrecy. Even offers to hire his SO as some sort of assistant, if only so Fox can be closer to his SO
Hear me out, he actually breaks down when he feels the baby move. He can’t fully handle it anymore and shuts down.
This is a baby. His baby. They're alive and already so loved.
Something in him clicks and he accepts Padme’s help.
His terror gets easier, ever so slightly. But he keeps his collected and calm front.
Cody
“General Kenobi-” “Ah! Commander Cody! Congratulations!”
goddamnit.exe
Cody is a tad more relaxed than Rex, but more tense than Wolffe
He knows Kenobi isn’t going to punish him or force him back to Kamino for decommissioning, he’s still a little on guard.
But, since Kenobi knows, Anakin does. So does Ahsoka. Which means Rex knows.
goddamnit2.exe
More people in the 501st know than in the 212th which gives him the biggest headache
Waxer knows though. Cody had to tell someone that wasn’t a sarcastic general
He does a good job hiding his worry though
Cody is able to spend about the same amount of time as Rex with his SO
He doesn’t feel as bad as Rex when it comes to the lack of presence he has during the pregnancy
It's war. It sucks and he’d prefer to be there for his SO, but he’d also prefer SO and child have freedom from the separatists
I will say, he is pretty attentive when he isn’t off in space.
Foot rubs, shoulders massages, helping with cravings
One thing Cody does is that he’ll wrap his arms under his SO’s baby bump and lift it slightly, giving his SO’s back some relief
He really loves to do this because his SO just melts
Hear me out, Cody gets giggly when he feels the baby move/kick the first time
His palm is on the bump and he feels that first little flutter against his hand
404 Commander Cody has his amygdala broken from joy. Reboot?
He’ll actually tell Kenobi about it because he’s so happy.
“That's wonderful Cody, but I still question one thing.” “What is it, sir?” “How you managed to get laid to begin with.”
Goddamnit3.exe
Fives
“Hey everyone! I’m gonna be a dad!”
Ecstatic is not a strong enough word
Also not subtle at all
There is a solid 3 hours until everyone in the 501st knows
He’s told Echo before the first hour. Rex knew within 2 hours.
Fives is BEYOND over the moon
He gets this small smile on his face that just doesn’t go away
Whenever he’s not with his SO, he definitely calls them every day. He wants updates on the little one
Also, seeing his SO with a baby bump? Unlocks something inside his brain.
Fives is incredibly horny when he’s with his SO. He’ll be rubbing their middle and getting a puppy dog look in his eye.
Only if his SO is in the mood of course! He’d never try and be forceful
He’s probably the clone that takes the distance the hardest. He debates taking a ship and making a run for Coruscant on more than one occasion.
In the end he settles to ask Anakin for extended leave.
Anakin is also extremely happy for Fives. Like with Rex, he makes a “name the baby after me” joke
Fives brings that up to his SO and nearly gets smacked. He also makes a “Fives jr.” joke and actually does get smacked.
When Fives feels the baby kick, he gets high on happiness. Actual mumbling incoherent words of love and affection in Mando’a
Lots and lots of “Ni kar'tayl gar darasuum”
He also gets very VERY affectionate with his SO
Kisses his SO’s face a lot. Even as a greeting, he’ll just start peppering their cheeks with pecks
Also probably the only one ballsy enough to ASK his general for extended leave
“Excuse me, general Skywalker? I’ll need to take leave at this date.” “Oh, yea sure. You know what? That seems like a good time for all the men to take a break. Thanks, Fives.”
He’s also probably the only one ballsy enough to actually take his new born baby onto a fucking battleship to introduce everyone.
“This is your uncle Rex. This is your uncle Echo and your uncle Tup. That's your auntie Ahsoka!” “Fives what the FUCK are you doing?!” “Introducing the family, captain.”

Kote-Ah Kenobi is the son of Obi-Wan Kenobi and Clone Commander Cody.
This is from my Alternate Universe called the ‘Kenobi Family AU’, which I’ll explain now (warning: plot dump):
During the Clone Wars Cody and Obi-Wan start to get close
First it starts as them starting to admire and trust each other in battle and appreciate the other’s leadership skills, etc.
Then it turns into a good friendship and camaraderie, they talk openly with each other on and off the battle field. They feel comfortable enough to snark and joke with eachother
They more and more seek comfort in each other outside of work and battle
Soon their friendship turns into more, emotionally
This leads to both of them hiding complicated romantic feeling for each other
Obi-Wan has strick moral codes with being a Jedi and having no deep attachments, he desperately wants to be a good Jedi and leader. But he can’t help but love Cody
Cody deals with the social pressures of being a clone. Clones aren’t supposed to have deep emotions, to want things, to have personalities. He’s not aloud to feel anyway for anyone, let alone his General. He’s not considered a person to many, just a tool
(Skipping over much time and details) Eventually they confess to each other
They come to a sort of agreement, they care too much about each other to not be together, but they both have duties to others and agree to always put their jobs first
So they are in a secret relationship with the war as priority
But they both discuss getting ‘fully’ together after the war
Cody talks about fighting for freedom for the clones and getting to choose what they want (he wouldn’t have thought of this before getting with Obi-Wan, he didn’t even consider it a possibility for him or his brothers. But getting the chance to CHOOSE to be with Obi-Wan despite what the war demands gives Cody determination to give all clones a chance to choose what they want)
Obi-Wan wants to be with Cody, he says he’ll help Cody and his brothers in any way to get freedom. He starts to think how maybe Anakin is right about the Jedi rule against attachment being wrong (this may be a lil’ OCC for Obi-Wan but I like to think him loving Cody would make him reevaluate his morals and the Jedi rules)
(Obi-Wan even considers maybe leaving the order after the war to be with Cody, it isn’t the first time he thought about it or even actually left the order after all)
But alas, none of it is to be. Order 66 still happens
It plays out just like canon, and the clone chips are activated and Cody shoots Obi-Wan off the cliff and Obi-Wan flees
(This is where the BIG changes happen)
When Obi-Wan goes with Yoda to the Jedi Temple and sees the dead Younglings, they find Reva Sevander alive and rescue her
Yoda watches her while Obi-Wan confronts and fights Anakin
Afterwards Padmé still dies giving birth
This time though, Obi-Wan looks at Luke, Leia and Reva and just thinks ‘yeahs I’m taking all these kids’
He pretty much decides that since all three of these kids are force sensitive that they’ll need protection and training, he can hide them
Plus his time with Cody taught him the importance of bonds. he regrets telling Anakin to not have attachments and making him feel like he had to hide his and Padmé’s relationship. Maybe if Obi-Wan had been better about talking to Anakin, Anakin wouldn’t have been so afraid to lose Padmé and therefore turn Dark
So Obi-Wan ignores Yoda’s demands to spilt all the children up and just takes them all to a remote planet to raise them
(Reva takes Obi-Wan’s last name since he needs to present her as his adopted child and he lets Luke and Leia have their father’s last name (Skywalker) as memory to the man Anakin used to be (he tells everyone that Leia and Luke are the children of his brother))
Only a little time after settling on their new home and trying to raise two infants and handle a traumatized force sensitive child, Obi-Wan finds out he’s going to have Cody and his child (unplanned)
(It’s up to you to decide how they have a child idk, force magic or weird alien biology who cares)
So 9 months later Obi-Wan now has ANOTHER child (Kote-Ah), this one from his lover who turned on him and who he doesn’t even know if he’s alive (I can’t decide if Obi-Wan DOESN’T know about the chips in the clones and thinks Cody legitimately betrayed him, or if he DOES know about the chips and is just wallowing in the knowledge that Cody and all the clones have had their agency taken away and will be forced to work for the Empire or be killed)
(Either way he can’t risk finding Cody, he has to protect his kids)
Thus Obi-Wan Kenobi ends up with four kids (all who are force sensitive) (in hiding where he’s a wanted man and force sensitive children are killed on sight) (and Kote-Ah looks exactly like a clone so people are quite suspicious when they see him, and even more so when they notice how young he is and how his eyes aren’t amber/brown like all clones)
The AU from here is just Obi-Wan raising Reva, Luke, Leia, and Kote-Ah in secret
Obi-Wan continues Reva’s training and takes her as his Padawan when she’s of age, though it’s not a ‘formal padawan and master’ training because at that point Reva considers Obi-Wan her guardian/parental figure (not quite a father (Kote-Ah, Luke, and Leia call Obi-Wan ‘Dad’), but she does loves and treat him in a similar way to a child and parent)
When Leia, Luke, and Kote-Ah all get old enough he starts to train them, they need to be prepared for if (when) the Empire finds them
That’s the AU for now, there’s more from here but I already wrote a lot! I’ll probably do some more drawing one day and get into Kote-Ah’s personality and the family relationship of the ‘Kenobi Family’ and the plot from here on out.
Extras:
Reva helped a lot with raising the three younger kids
Having them around helped with her anger and trauma of seeing her crechemates killed (she holds no resentment towards Luke and Leia for being the children of the man who killed her crechemates)
Though this makes her very overprotective of Leia, Luke, and Kote-Ah
She’s desperate not to lose her new family
She’s always very mature for her age
All the siblings are very close, but Luke and Leia get along the best and Reva and Kote-Ah are also really close
They all are very close to Obi-Wan, who is very open and affectionate with them due to his regrets of not being as open and loving with Anakin (and his regrets that he never got to have an open and ‘true’ relationship with Cody before everything ended)
Obi-Wan tells many stories of Cody and the clones to Kote-Ah. Obi-Wan wants Kote-Ah to know about his other father and his family. Wants Kote-Ah to feel pride from his ‘heritage’ and not feel ashamed for looking like a clone
In this AU all four of the kids are trained in the Jedi ways and to fight, though way into the future only Reva and Luke take on the formal title of Jedi, Leia and Kote-Ah do not.

No no. You don’t understand. I need expansion on Rex being ori’vod to the most problematic cc batch. Pls. I need it for medical reasons. 💕😘
Ahahah I just had a video about the clone ages come up, and got reminded of the fact that Rex is a Generation 1 clone...like, there's an actual possibility that he is either a) the same age as the CC batch (he and Cody have the same birth year listed at the very least) or b) he might actually be older than them or at least some of them. I couldn't find when Fox was born, unlike with Rex (his birth year was listed as 32 BBY, whereas Fox was only given that he was sent out approximately a decade into the cloning project), so my mind immediately went with "there's nothing in canon that says that Rex is younger than Fox". And because to me Fox is the batch baby, this made him Even More Baby, lmao.
Just imagine being Fox, thinking that you've finally gotten a vod'ika, because Cody keeps bringing up the CT all the time. Only for the CT to turn out to be older than you, and because everybody in the batch is propping him up, he has absolutely no respect for you. Everybody thinks it's hilarous, actually. Rex is elated (and gets his first rush of Ori'vod feelings). Fox is definitely not elated.
They might have some sort of truce going on, like "when we are in the public, please refrain from doing anything that will expose me" but in the private? It's gloves off. Rex wrangles Skywalker all day every day. The crumpy Commander is nothing to him. They have a battle of wills every time where they both revise the rule books about whether or not it is allowed for Fox to go to sleep. Rex wins a lot. The story doesn't tell if he wins by switching the battlemode to wrestling but he wins a lot anyway.
Now, Fox might go and get his hands on the decanting records on Kamino. Don't ask. Rex may or may not have been taken out off his tube a liiittle bit earlier than some other members of the batch. He just might.

Fake Affair (To Hide the Real Affair)
Read on AO3
Rex, in trying to cover for General Skywalker, accidentally implies to High General Kenobi that he is in an affair with Senator Amidala. He is then asked to continue the ruse, and paid for the lies with very fancy seafood.
My final and VERY belated fic for @rexwalkerweek
August 7th: Umbara || Form VII: Self-Awareness, Risk and Reward, Secrecy
Originally brainstormed on tumblr here and here.
--------------------------------------
It starts with an easy question.
“Captain Rex? Have you seen Anakin?”
Yes. He has. He has also been told to not let General Kenobi what’s going on, at all. Cody’s here, too; this means Rex is being silently judged by his older brother, and not just his superior officer.
“I’m afraid he’s been a little… preoccupied, sir,” Rex says.
“Ah, preoccupied,” General Kenobi repeats, seeming far too amused. Rex reminds himself that he cannot, actually, lie to a Jedi. Not well.
“He’s, uh, on a call.”
“On a call, I see.”
Rex does not conspicuously and awkwardly shift his weight. He kind of wants to.
“With whom?”
“I, uh—” Rex casts about for an answer, “a friend.”
Hells. He had a plan for this, he did, but all the words are gone from his head.
“Do I get to know which friend?” General Kenobi prompts.
“One of mine,” Rex says.
It’s sort of true, but… what? Why did he say that? Even Cody is judging him.
“Ah,” General Kenobi says. The amusement is showing in full force. “I see. Is this friend another clone?”
“No,” Rex says.
“Have I met them?”
Rex shifts awkwardly, and looks away. He definitely doesn’t want to help narrow down the plane of possible friends that much. Cody is watching him with no expression, which Rex knows in this case means that Cody’s laughing at him on the inside.
General Kenobi seems to be enjoying this. Rex feels bullied.
Kenobi, apparently having decided this is a ‘little brothers’ topic, not an official one, keeps going. “What about the topic? Why is Anakin speaking with a friend of yours?”
He panics and grasps and—
“Personal matters,” Rex blurts out. His heart beats like a hummingbird in shame. That was the most suspicious answer possible, and everyone here knows it.
“Ah,” Kenobi says, still clearly biting back laughter. “I see.”
Well, clearly to Rex. He’s not sure if anyone else would know, but Rex has spent way too much time around guys who try their hardest to keep a perfect Sabacc face at all hours to not be able to tell.
“What’s it about, Rex?” Cody asks. “Why’s the General talking to one of your friends on a personal matter?”
Cody has decided it’s a day to make Rex’s life harder. Bastard. Rex thinks it might be time to revisit some classic cadet pranks.
What’s it about, Rex?
“I—” Rex flounders. He casts about, stress rising, and meets General Kenobi’s eyes, “that’s not—I mean—”
“Your loyalty to Anakin is commendable,” General Kenobi says, in that gentle way that’s meant to be comforting but mostly just feels embarrassing as all hells. “But unnecessary. If he’s on the line with Padmé again—”
“It’s not about him!” Rex protests.
Kenobi’s expression is almost pitying. “Captain, I assure you, there will be no consequences for you or Anakin if he’s—”
“Please don’t go in,” Rex begs. “I promise it’s not something you need to—Cody, don’t!”
Cody pauses, hand almost on the doorknob. His head tilts, and Rex may not be able to see his face, but he can guess the expression.
Kenobi looks between them. He focuses on Rex again. “Captain? Are you quite alright?”
No, because now he’s blushing, and it’s stupid.
“Cody’s not allowed in,” he says. “It’s not anyone’s business but—I mean—please don’t go in there.”
They’re both staring at him, now.
“Why am I not allowed in?” Cody asks, almost carefully.
“I’m getting the feeling that he’s trying to say that it’s not my business,” General Kenobi says slowly, “but that it is your business, and he doesn’t want you finding out about.”
“Personal matters,” Cody says, meeting his eyes, “and a friend, but not a brother.”
Rex sweats.
Cody and Kenobi stare at each other for a few long moments, and then Cody turns and asks, “Rex, are you dating someone?”
“Wh—no!” Rex nearly squeaks. “I’m not dating someone. Anyone. I’m not dating anyone.”
“Sounds like denial to me,” Kenobi says. Rex wonders how, considering it’s actually true. “And your love life is certainly none of my business, but that status of it is, arguably, business of Cody’s.”
Kark it all.
“But why does Skywalker get to talk to whoever it is?” Cody wonders aloud. “Especially without you in there to—”
Kenobi smacks a fist into his own palm. “Shovel talk.”
Rex is going to die.
“Shovel talk,” Cody repeats, rolling the idea around. “Skywalker giving Rex’s partner a shovel talk?”
“Or the good captain has found interest in my former padawan despite fraternization rules, and the non-clone friend is now giving Anakin a shovel talk,” Kenobi says. “But I imagine I would have noticed if Anakin was in love with someone new. He’s not particularly subtle.”
“It’s been a fair few months since you’ve seen him in person,” Cody says.
“But I have seen him around Rex in the last few days,” Kenobi points out. “If they were in a relationship, I would have noticed, even if it’s no longer the honeymoon stage.”
Unsaid: because for Skywalker, it is always the honeymoon stage.
“So Rex is dating someone, and Skywalker knows who it is, and they don’t want me to know,” Cody decides. He pins Rex with a gaze like… something. Rex isn’t feeling very metaphorical today. “Are we close?”
No. No, they are not.
Rex doesn’t answer. He does not want to dig this hole any deeper than it’s already been dug.
Cody makes a decision and, before Rex can entirely process it, is opening the door.
“—taking care of him, Ani. I promise.”
Rex presses a hand to his face.
He has failed his General, and somehow he still feels like he needs to be paid for emotional damages. Yeah, he didn’t fulfill the request, but this entire situation is somehow ten times worse for Rex than it is for General Skywalker.

Hi! May I suggest another codywan au
Obi-Wan is a Seer and has had debilitating visions since childhood. He loses consciousness when they come and can't predict their onset so it is inadvisable for him to be outside of the temple alone.
Qui-Gon is alive and Skywalker is his apprentice. Obi-Wan and Anakin still regard each other as brothers. Their relationship is actually healthier than in canon.
When the clone wars start Obi-Wan stays at the temple and acts as a strategist.
As most Jedi are either away at the frontlines or busy with the war effort at the temple, Obi-Wan finds himself rarely venturing outside as there are not as many people able to accompany him.
Cody's general is Qui-Gon.
Cody and Obi-Wan meet at the temple through Qui-Gon.
When Cody has leave they explore Coruscant together. Obi-Wan loves showing Cody his favorite places and seeing Cody discover new things. And who is a better protector than a marshal commander?

Madness in two parts
This is a two part idea, feel free to take one or both. As always please let me know if this has sparked your creative juices. Some of this may be a touch sad, a touch bleak. It is Star Wars after all, and this serves as both a fix-it and not. It does ignore both the Bad Batch and the rumors of Cody on Tatooine.  Also, though it can be read as Gen, I do see it as light CodyWan
Part the first starts on the Death Star, in the moment that Darth Vader strikes Obi Wan Kenobi down. At the moment Obi Wan vanishes, a few dozen storm troopers abruptly change targets.  Without so much as a twitch to indicate the change in priority, these troopers begin to take out the rest of the storm troopers with an impressive speed and accuracy. They even hit Darth Vader, knocking him to the floor. All this to the astonished gazes of Leia Organa, Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, and Chewbacca. Soon the troopers were the only imperials standing.
They each remove their helmets to reveal nighon identical faces. One of the troopers, with a prominent scar curling around his eye and a blaster in hand, steps up to Darth Vader who is still flat on his back.
This man looks down at one of the most feared men in the galaxy and says “To paraphrase my General, hello there you miserable bastard” and shoots Darth Vader in the face, killing him (No Anakin redemption for this part, sorry).
Then this man looks up at the other troopers still standing and says, “Take the bridge and the comm center first. Stun any brother that fights us. Kill any nat born that resists.”
And frankly it should have been ridiculous, a few dozen troopers against the hundreds if not thousands on the space station. However these clones were freshly freed and very very angry. The imperials never stood a chance.
Three of the troopers gently corralled the escapees (who are decidedly not resisting, these are not the same stormtroopers that couldn’t hit the ground using gravity) towards the trooper with the curled scar, commenting that they would finish their general’s final mission.
Another picks up the discarded cloak and lightsaber with a reverence bordering on worship. He hands it over to the trooper with the scar.
The scarred trooper introduces himself as Cody, still clutching Obi Wan’s robes and lightsaber close.  He says that in his last moments, Obi Wan had struck out wildly with the Force to free the clones around him, the remnants of the 212th (Vader had made sure to keep the 212th close, hoping to use them if he ever found Obi Wan and it was exactly as awful as you are picturing). In that brief touch of mind to mind Cody was able to glean his general’s last mission, to protect Luke Skywalker and rescue Leia Organa.
As soon as they took control of the Death Star, Cody turned that control over to Leia and the Rebel Alliance. Wooley is the one who gets to shoot and kill Tarkin (I don’t actually know why but it felt right). Cody starts the medics on dechipping the other chipped clones. It takes time but he convinces Leia that this is not a trick and she should comm the leaders of the Rebel Alliance.
Just after the comm connects, Boil (also among those freed by Obi Wan) begins to bleed out of his eyes, nose, and ears then drops.  Confusion and concern rise from the Rebel Alliance, and the defectors from the Imperials. The freed but chipped clones are not confused. They knew it was coming.
Cody explains, quiet and gentle in a way he had not been allowed to be in almost two decades, that his general’s last attempt to give them freedom was a wild thing. Uncontrolled and imprecise. Akin to hitting the chip with a large hammer instead of cutting it out with a scalpel. It broke it but also did untold damage to their brains. The only freedom he could give them was a few hours of freedom before death.
They arrange for a rendezvous with several of the Rebel Alliance Cells to full take control of the space station, they may have locked up or killed anyone who did not want to defect but the longer they went the more chance that enough of the 212th remnants would die that the DS would be put back under Imperial control. One by one the clones freed by Obi Wan drop, bleeding but going into death with a smile because they died free.
Cody lasted the longest, long enough that Rex, Wolffe, and Gregor arrived. Just long enough to collapse into Rex’s arms.  Rex pleads for him to hold on but Cody looks at him with a bloody smile and says ‘I need to follow my general. I want to follow my general.  Who knows what trouble he has already gotten into.’
And dies smiling, dies free.
That leads up to part the second.
Cody opens his eyes to see he was back on the bridge of the Negotiator. He is surrounded by clones but no nat borns, they are above Coruscant.  He does not yet know it but it is the middle of the Naboo crisis, just as Qui Gon Jinn is telling the High Council that he would take Anakin on a Padawan. Nor do they know yet that the entirety of the 212th was aboard and that none of them were chipped any longer; to a man they physically match Obi Wan’s age in this time and the Force has gone as far as to fix the accelerated aging.
The comm officer reports that Coruscant’s communications office is asking them to identify themselves.  The sudden appearance of a futuristic (being from 10 years into the future), and heavily armed, ship makes people very nervous.
Cody is put on the line and when asked to identify himself responds with “Commander Cody of the 212th battalion serving under Jedi High General Obi Wan Kenobi.” He may not know where or when he is, but he wants it clear from the get go that he holds no allegiance to the Empire (in fact he holds little allegiance to the Republic either), he would rather be shot down than be mistaken for an Imperial ever again.
The being on the other end goes, very quietly to themself, ‘that is a lot to unpack’ then clocks the that this Commander Cody said the magic word of ‘Jedi’ and not my circuses the entire thing over to the temple’s comm center (This specific part is based off a story my mom tells, she worked for a while in customer service testing the cords for the product that her company sold if they did not work. She also was unfortunately not the kind of person that would transfer someone if she could help, even if it was not her job so the sales team for her company started transferring anyone who said the word Cord to them, even if it was a question of what kind of cord the product took).
Down in the temple, in front of the High Council, this Obi Wan is decidedly from this time. A senior padawan who is on the verge of being rejected again. Before they can offer even a temporary decision on what to do with Anakin Skywalker, the High council is contacted by their comm center, stating that a battalion has appeared from nowhere claiming to be under the command of High General Obi Wan Kenobi and would like to speak with them. Also that the authorities of Coruscant are very uncomfortable with the heavily armed ship in orbit who is claiming allegiance to a Jedi, could somebody take care of that.
Everyone looks at Obi Wan, who is confused. The last time he was even a general was over a decade before on Melida/Daan. And he doubted that they would call themselves a battalion.
The High Council puts a pin in the Anakin debate, figuring this takes precedence. They formally invite Cody and entourage (Ghost Company) down to meet with them.  In the time it takes to arrange things the clones are able to confirm that the ones going to the surface do not have chips.
The clones have not quite realized that they are back in time.
They do realize something is up when Ghost company is escorted into the council chamber and realize that not only are all the high generals there (even ones they know for a fact are dead) but so is their very young looking general, a tall man that Cody had seen in a few of their general’s holo’s, and a small child that is clearly Anakin Skywalker (Waxer may have squealed over their internal comms at how cute the child skywalker was).
Cody rallies quickly (you cannot tell me that this man, who followed Obi Wan Kenobi around for three years, does not have a plan for surprise time travel). He gives a precise report, all military formality, of exactly who he is, who the clones are, an approximation of when he was from (timekeeping was not the chips strong suit), the war, Order 66, every fact he knows about the Empire. Then finishes with the fight between  Vade and the General, the General’s death and his last actions to free what clones he could (he was reluctant to discuss the consequences, in that freeing him as Obi Wan did killed them. Cody was quick to assure the younger Obi Wan that it was one of the greatest gifts that the Jedi could have given him).
All the while all the clones are radiating adoration towards Obi Wan (I really want Obi Wan, on the verge of being rejected again, never feeling quite good enough, to be faced with a battalion of men who love him and think he is the best thing ever. As a treat.).
It takes a direct, if hesitant, order from Obi Wan to stop the 212th from storming the Senate outright.
It is decided that the clones would escort Padme, her retinue, and the Jedi back to Naboo where they would assist in breaking the blockade (read: Cody told the High Council that they would be going if they had to hijack the queen’s ship as soon as it left orbit).  The clones make it exceedingly clear that they are following, and protecting Obi Wan, first and foremost, The Jedi in general second, Themselves third, and the rest of the sentients in the galaxy a distant fourth.
Little Anakin is more than a bit horrified to realize what he would have become. Various clones, who are not going to blame a 9 year old for the things he did as an adult in another life, talked to him about how he had changed over the war (becoming more reckless and less caring both clone and innocent lives in favor of completing his objectives) and they might not know why he became Vader, they suspected it was not within the 9 year old.  They also told, exaggerated as only second or third hand versions of a story can be,  stories about their general. In particular telling him stories of Obi Wan in his Padawan years (stories that Obi Wan had told them himself, during the war) that serve to make Anakin believe that Obi Wan is the coolest person ever (slave revolt anyone).
The clones are also really careful to make sure that Obi Wan understands that they are pleased to see him as he is now, not just for the person he could have been in a decade. This was the other reason they focused on stories that would have already happened to this Obi Wan, they did not want to give Obi Wan additional imposter syndrome regarding himself. Most of the clones spent a fair amount of time side-eyeing Qui Gon, not being outright hostile (though some were more than others; Obi Wan could be a little too honest on certain types of painkillers so a few of the medics and some parts of ghost company have heard some less than stellar stories about Master Qui Gon Jinn).
–Look I just want a few days of Obi Wan being pleasantly baffled at this large group of men who adore him and want to be around him and tell stories about how awesome he is (stories that he lived through, not just stories of his older self), particularly on the tail of the implied rejection from Qui Gon–
They reach Naboo and the Trade Federation blockade is almost laughably easy to break. Several companies from the 212th are sent to liberate the camps the Nabooians are in.  Nute Gunray just straight up surrenders. Maul shows up but before he can fight anyone or lure the Jedi away, he is shot by a slug thrower carried by Cody.  It is all anti-climatic.
At the precise moment that, in the original timeline, Qui Gon Jinn died, Obi Wan suddenly staggered to one side, bumping into Cody.
He peered at the commander as he straightened back up, “Cody, you’re you again”.
The Negotiator had arrived, straight from the Death Star.
The memories settled in quickly, and Obi Wan had only a brief breakdown when he remembered what Cody had said about his method of freeing the clones.
Obi Wan has details that Cody did not, like that Palpatine was the Sith (Cody knew that Palpatine was the Emperor but did not know he was Sidious, because no one actually told the chipped clones anything) but is also very unwilling to go to the Jedi temple, or even Coruscant. He outright tells Qui Gon and the Jedi High Council that if he steps foot on Coruscant he will hunt Palpatine down.
He also decides he will not be rejoining the Jedi (Though from the perspective of the Jedi he was leaving, not refraining from rejoining).  They will always be his family, but twenty years virtually alone in the desert had not been enough to wipe the memories of feeling Order 66 go into effect. It could not wipe the memories of the temple in the aftermath.  In fact in many ways he was less socialized than he had been and the thought of being around that many different beings was excruciating.
When the 212th, complete with their general, depart from Coruscant (having dropped off Qui Gon Jinn) they leave with Anakin Skywalker (who no longer thinks he should be a Jedi. Qui Gon objects but is reminded that they do not compel or make anyone be a Jedi, it is a choice).  Obi Wan looks down at the 9 year old very seriously.
‘I cannot teach you to be a Jedi’ Obi Wan says, ‘we cannot have the bond that I had with your counterpart, because I can’t guarantee that I will always see you instead of him. And you deserve far better than to be compared with my demons. I can teach you control, and we can collect your mother. Then we can see what the future holds.’
They do find Shmi and free her, she decides that she and Anakin will travel with the 212th for a time. This turns into something more permanent as her own maternal instincts kick in immediately upon meeting this battalion of physically 25 year olds with enough trauma for 6 times that amount.
Their next stop, after picking up Shmi, is to head toward Kamino. By the time they reach it the CC’s have just been born, the first to be at double aging. The Alpha's are chronologically 6 months old and physically 18 months and the Null are chronologically 1 year, and physically 3 years old. They are even 2 years before the trainers arrive. The 212th collectively registers their complaint of their treatment in the previous timeline (they steal all the kids, Jango Fett, and genetic material; There may also have been some crude/rude phrases written in Kaminoan now decorating the halls of Tipoca city).
To be entirely honest I am not sure how much this would fix and how much it would make it worse.  However I know that from here on out, everything is much much weirder.  –Ok Here’s a breakdown of the timeline as I use it: Cody is listed on Wookipedia as being born in 32 BBY, the same year as the Naboo Invasion. Wookipedia also lists Jango’s recruitment in 32 BBY. The Nulls and the Alpha’s were decanted before the CC, as far as I know and I wanted them to be significantly older than the CC. So the Alpha’s and the Null’s have triple aging. The Kaminoans realized their product would age past their prime for the war, we are running with the Kaminoans are fully complicit and know when Palpatine plans to spark off the war, too quickly. So they slowed the aging to double in the CC and CT batches. So early 32 BBY Jango Fett is recruited, The nulls are decanted 4 months later, the Alpha’s 4 months after that, and the CC’s that include Cody 4 months after that (their growth tubes matured at the same rate, though their aging was different ) at the very end of 32 BBY. The Naboo Invasion occurred in mid to late 32 BBY and travel time between Naboo and Kamino, with a stop at Tatooine puts the arrival of the 212th not long after the CC’s were decanted –

👀 (which by the way is a genuine reaction to your "I have so many things" tag-comment)
haaah there were. so many ideas. few of them coherent. x_X
this one i do actually want to finish at some point; it's corrie guard shenanigans, SOME of them trust that the jedi might be able to fix things so uh. they try. to maybe do that.
...kidnapping may or may not be involved.
---
Jek liked to think that he was a good soldier.
He wasn't the best--he would happily leave that to Commander Fox's batch and whatever tube glitch had resulted in Captain Rex--but he was decent. A solid middle. He got the job done, he worked hard, he didn't complain. (And not just because complaining on Coruscant could easily mean a recon.)
The point was, he didn't deserve to be put on trial for treason.
"It's only treason if it's against the Republic," Rys pointed out. "This is just standard treachery. That's prison time, at most."
"For natborns, maybe," Jek mourned. "Pretty sure if we fuck up they just send us back to Kamino for a refund."
"You are both following orders," Commander Thire gritted out, "So if anyone is brought up on charges, it will be me."
That made Jek feel a lot better, actually.
"Now shut up."
"Yessir," he and Rys chorused.
They marched crisply on either side of the heavily-laden hovercart, Thire in the lead as they made their way towards the entrance to the Jedi Temple. The loading bay was relatively busy this time of day, which is why Thire chose it, and they didn't expect too much scrutiny: clones came and went from the Temple all the time.
Not Guard clones, admittedly, but this was their city. Technically they had the right to go wherever they wanted.
A thought occurred to Jek then, flitting across his mind like one of those colorful flappy insects that Mack had tattooed on his arm.
"So, what do we do if General Yoda isn't here?"
Thire stumbled over his own feet.
Huh.
"You mean you haven't already thought about that?" Rys hissed. He laid a hand atop the largest crate--the most important crate--on the hovercart, fingers spread out protectively across the smooth durasteel. "What if they want us to leave it in his room? If he's out on a mission he could be gone for months--"
"We're fucked if he's gone for more than another two hours," Jek pointed out helpfully.
"I will figure it out," Thire snapped.
Two days into his new commission and he was already able to spew banthashit like the rest of the Commanders. Incredible.
"Are there even any other Jedi we could trust?" Jek asked. They'd met Master Yoda on the mission to Rugosa, so they knew he was a good person, but none of them really had experience with any of the other Jedi.
"Sinker said that General Koon is pretty good," Rys offered.
Thire snorted.
"General Koon actually likes Commander Wolffe. There's gotta be something wrong with him if he willingly puts up with that level of crazy."
"Maybe Kenobi? Commander Fox always bitches about Marshall Commander Cody going on about him."
Rys grimaced, shaking his head.
"He's Skywalker's master."
All three of them shuddered. Skywalker was friends with the Chancellor, and Commander Fox regularly came back from meetings with the Chancellor sporting mysterious injuries that somehow never got recorded on his medical file.
They all knew better to trust anyone that was on good terms with the Chancellor.
"What about General Windu?" Rhys suggested.
"What about me?"

Started writing the separated bad batch fic....
And shit young Cody is a doll and I love him. Alpha does too.
Story bit under cut
Cody didn't bother knocking on Alpha-17’s door, instead walking into his office with a datapad in hand and sitting down at the free chair across from him at the desk.
Alpha simply raised an eyebrow and sighed, putting his stylus down, folding his hands on his desk at the young Commander.
“Can I help you, Kote?”
“I assume you know that I'm losing my Captain.”
Alpha nodded. “Commander-sorry General Skywalker has his own battalion now, so I would imagine he would take Rex.”
“Exactly.” Cody said, putting his data pad on the desk. “And I need an ARC to replace him too. Not that I could ever replace my little brother.”
“No one could replace Blondie. I suppose you are here for suggestions on who would fit well from the last graduates who are waiting to be assigned.” Alpha picked up another datapad and moved to open the list as he spoke.
“Actually, I already have my ARC picked out. But there is a small problem,” Cody smiled charmingly at his former Commander.
Alpha’s eyes narrowed in suspicion and he took a deep breath through his nose. “You have been taking lessons from Kenobi. What is it?”
“He hasn't technically graduated, and technically not cleared for active duty from the Kaminoans. EC-9902.” Cody pushed his pad toward the man who was the closest thing to a father. “And maybe I've been taking some finer lessons from General Kenobi on negotiations.”
“Don't let him charm you. He's a menace.” Alpha took the pad and read over the report Cody had written himself. “You and your personnel reports. You realize that he hasn't even been cleared by Nala Se for active duty. Not to mention his status as an EC means he potentially has detriments that haven't been discovered yet in his testing.”
“That's not my concern. He's skilled. Not just as a spotter. His academic tests are off the charts, not to mention his skills as a pilot and shooter.”
“His physical prowess, though, is above average at best, acceptable at its worst.” Alpha countered.
“For an ARC trooper. But he is still well above average and into exemplary performance in his training sims.” Cody argued, still smirking.
“I take my words about Kenobi back. You are a menace. I can't just approve him without informing Nala Se. The 99s are her special projects that she is desperate to keep on Kamino for fine tuning.”
“He's the one I want, Buir. I have a feeling about him.”
Alpha narrowed his eyes. “A feeling? What? You're a Jedi now?”
“No, but General Kenobi has helped me trust my gut. Something you honed in all of us, Alpha.” Cody leaned forward. “And I have a feeling that EC-9902 and the other 99s may have a bigger part to play. I know I can't take them all, but they need to be in the field.”
Alpha sighed and pushed the data pad back to him. “I already was going to put him into the graduating class, and I can bring up his potential and your interest to Nala Se. She has the final word. Don’t get your hopes up.” he warned.
Cody simply beamed and nodded. “I won’t. I know you’ll pull through for me.” He stood up and walked to the “I leave in three rotations. I’d like to have him on the shuttle with me to get to know him.”
“Menace. I'll have news in two rotations. You’ll have an ARC either way.” Alpha-17 watched as his oldest son; the man who took over Command of the 212th, beamed at him.
“Thanks, Buir. I’ll see you for late meal.” Cody waved and left his office, smiling to himself as he looked down at the datapad, showing a bright eyed, goggled clone. EC-9902 would make a perfect edition to the 212th, he knew it.

tyvm for the ask <33 sorry it took a bit for me to get back to you (tysm for asking when i requested!!!!) but i am here now!!! (also. also while i've got you. i love your handle. it brings me joy every time i see it.)
3. do you share fic ideas or keep them to yourself?
I am apparently physically incapable of keeping things to myself and i have to immediately share ideas with other people - both to gauge if it's a viable idea to write (i.e. if there are any holes in my plan) and to see if it's something that people would actually read. (the kicker is... i don't really write plot?? so i have a couple of fics that are directed by plot that have yet to be written. they're still outlined, but i'm sort of saving them until i become a better writer lmao.) the frustrating second part of it is that if i share with too many people, then i'll be like "well the idea is already in the world, no need for me to write it" so if it's something that i REAAAAALLY want to write then i try to share as few details as possible while still maintaining the writing viability and the reading interest. (this doesn't always work.)
4. how do you choose which fics to write?
the fics that i write - especially of late - are generally prompted by either events hosted on tumblr.com in which case i try to do my 45-hour-a-week job and instead come up with ideas, or they're canon fix-it or additions. mostly it's stuff that haunts me, that sticks around in my head even after i, say, sort of attend a beach boys concert, or total my car (two events mostly unrelated).
7. post a snippet from a wip.
behold! a wippet! this is from chapter 2 of admiring from afar! (proof that i'm working on it i AM i PROMISE)
And Cody - sweet, kind Cody - knows him so well, can probably hear him overthinking, even over the waterfall. “How are you doing?” is his first question.  Obi-Wan nods slowly, his brow furrowing with it. “I’m okay,” he replies.  Cody just levels a look at him. “And how are you, really?”  Damn it all to hell, they’ve been working together for too long. Cody knows all of his tells at this point, clearly. It may be a boon on the field of battle, but it’s not great for Obi-Wan presently. Cody’s lovely warm eyes search his, scanning for any hints that Obi-Wan may give.  “I’m fine, my dear, honestly,” he says, a little dishonestly. “In the span of two days I got married and moved to a new home with my new husband, so I’m a little disoriented, but otherwise genuinely fine.” He takes up Cody’s hand. “And how are you?”  Cody snorts and breaks eye contact, instead watching the water cascade down the precipice. “Same as you, sir, disoriented as all hell. I’m living a life no vod can have without deserting.”  “Oh, Cody,” he muses. He brushes his thumbs along the back of Cody’s hand. “I am sorry, darling. I have no basis of knowledge for married couples, and I still genuinely believe that you and I are the best set for the job.”  Cody’s brow furrows, and he looks back at him with an expression Obi-Wan can’t quite describe. “You do know about… Skywalker? And his senator?”  “Allow me to rephrase: I have no basis of knowledge for normal married couples who aren’t trying - and spectacularly failing - to keep things secret.”  Cody’s responding grin cuts through whatever farce he’s put on. There he is.

The Bond Between Us ~ 65
THE BOND BETWEEN US MASTERLIST
Tumblr media
< previous chapter
Word Count: 1,840ish
Summary: Time passes, though things really don’t get easier.
Notes: The start of the Empire Strikes Back!
Tumblr media
Three years passed in the slowest of fashions. Despite your desire to run and hide—to live out your life by yourself—you could not leave Leia and Luke behind. It was your duty now to protect and watch over them.
You didn’t like how similar the Rebellion felt to the Clone Wars. It made you miss those of your past even more: Ahsoka, Padme, Crak, Cody, Rex, Anakin, and even Master Yoda. There is no one you missed more though than your beloved husband, Obi-Wan. And no matter how hard you tried to connect with him through the Force, you always came up empty. You remembered that Obi-Wan had said that it took ten years for him to connect with Qui-Gon. Unfortunately, you did not have the patience or faith to endure that.
Luke often asked you to train him. Occasionally, you would give in and spare with him but you refused to teach him in any of the matters of the Force. He was kind and understanding about it at first but as the years went on he grew more confused as to why you wouldn’t. You refused to give him any actual answer. There was too much baggage, you felt like, and it was too risky to tell Luke more information than he already knew. It was not time to tell him—or Leia—the truth about everything.
Han stuck around, though he constantly complained about staying and made excuses for leaving but never actually did. The two of you grew close as you would spend time together on his ship drinking. You got to know him well and he you—for the most part.
You often complained to Han about how the Rebellion was worsening your PTSD, which was true. You were struggling to get to sleep and when you did sleep, it was full of nightmares. You were reliving your worst memories, over and over again.
Han would often respond to your worries by telling you that he was going to get out of there and he would take you with him. You always wished that you could go, but told him you couldn’t leave Leia and Luke. He would question you as to why causing you to switch the subject, in which he never questioned you.
You hadn’t had an experience with the Dark Side like you had had that night, but you could still feel the darkness inside you. It was like it was waiting for the perfect moment to completely take hold of you.
Due to the Empire continually after them, the Rebellion had to keep moving from place to place. You were now located on the frozen, wasteland planet of Hoth. Currently, you were in the makeshift command center where, unfortunately, you spent most of your days.
“Captain Solo,” General Rieekan greeted the man as he came into the command center. “What’s the situation?”
“There isn’t a hint of life in the area,” Han reported on his and Luke’s recent life scan outside the base. “But all the perimeter markers are set, so you'll know if anyone comes calling.”
“Good, and Commander Skywalker?”
“He’s checking out a meteorite that hit near him. He’ll be in soon.”
“With all the meteor activity in this system, it’s going to be difficult to spot approaching ships.”
“The Empire won’t look for you out here. I’d say you’re all set with means it’s time for me to get going.”
“You’re leaving?” Leia questioned, straightening up beside you. You rolled your eyes. She and Han had such thick sexual tension but were too busy being petty with each other to do anything.
“That’s right.”
“You’re an extraordinary fighter,” Rieekan said. “I hate to lose you.”
“Thank you, General. But there’s a price on my head. If I don’t pay off Jabba the Hutt, I’m a walking dead man.”
“I understand. A death mark is not an easy thing to live with.” The General shook Han’s hand. “Until our paths cross again, may the Force be with you.”
The men gave each other a nod before Rieekan moved away. Han turned to you.
“I’ll miss you, kid,” he said with a small, playful smile.
You shook your head as you moved over and brought him in for a hug. “Still older than you,” you retorted.
“Still don’t care.” He pulled back to get a good look at your face. “Are you sure you don’t want to come? There’s plenty of room on the ship.”
You sighed. A large part of you wished that you could run away from your responsibilities here, but you couldn’t. “As much fun as that sounds, I need to stay here.”
“Shame. Chewie’s not as fun to drink with.”
You chuckled. “Stay safe.”
“Always am.” He smirked. “May the Force be with you, Y/N.”
You weren’t necessarily a big fan of that phrase right now but you weren’t able to not wish him well in the same fashion. “May the Force be with you.”
You gave his arm a squeeze as you walked away. Back at your station, you kept an eye out on Leia and Han. Han had moved closer to Leia.
“I guess this is it, Your Highness,” Han said, with some genuine feeling.
Leia was clearly angry. It was written on her face and you could feel it in her Force signature. Han shook his head, realizing that he would not get any warmth from her.
“Well, don’t get all mushy on me,” his tone was cooler now. “So long, Princess.”
Han walked out of the room. Leia stewed for a moment, glancing your way. You gave her a look that tried to tell her that she was being a little hard on Han. She huffed before marching after him. You shook your head and continued working.
~~~
“Han!” You ran through the base calling for the man, hoping it wasn’t too late. “Han!” You came out in the hangar, thankful to see the Millennium Falcon was still there. “Han!”
The man turned from where he was under his ship to face you. He chuckled. “I knew you’d change your mind, kid. I’ve already—“
“No, no, that’s not it.” You came to a harsh stop in front of Han, who placed his hands on your arms to steady you. “Why haven’t you been answering your communicator?”
“I shut it off.” He pulled away and turned back to his ship. “I didn’t need her royal holiness badgering me about staying more.”
“It was about Luke. He hasn’t come back. We don’t know where he is.”
He turned back to face you. “What do you mean, nobody knows?” He started looking around and yelling, “Deck officer! Deck officer!” Han found an officer.
“Excuse me, sir,” the deck officer said. “Might I—“
“Do you know where Commander Skywalker is?”
“I haven’t seen him. He probably came in through the South entrance.”
“It’s possible? Why don’t you go find out? It’s getting dark out there.”
“Yes, sir,” the deck officer rushed away.
Han looked back at you to see you emotional and panicky. Over the past three years, Han had learned a lot about you, and yet nothing at all. One of the things he had somewhat learned was how to read you. Slowly, he came back over to you.
“We have to find him, Han,” you said desperately. “I have failed at protecting everyone in my life. I cannot fail at this.”
He was confused at the true meaning behind your words but wasn’t going to push it. “This is not on you. I’m sure he’s alright.”
“No, you don’t understand. Luke is our only hope. He has to fulfill the prophecy because me and Ana—“ You stopped yourself quickly as you realized you were spilling too much information. “We just have to find him.”
Han was going to say something when the deck officer rushed up to the two of them.
“Commander Skywalker hasn’t come in the south entrance,” the officer informed the two of them. “Maybe he forgot to check in.”
“Not likely,” Han responded. “Are the speeders ready?”
“Not yet. We’re having trouble adapting them to the cold.”
“We’ll have to go out on tauntauns,” you said.
“There’s no ‘we’, kid. I will go, you need to stay here.”
“The temperature’s dropping too rapidly,” warned the officer.
“That’s right, and my friend’s out in it.” Han hopped onto one of the already saddled tauntauns.
“Your tauntaun will freeze before you reach the first marker!”
“Then I’ll see you in hell!”
Han then rode out of the base. You stood at the opening, watching him disappear into the snowy wasteland. R2 beeped as he rolled up to you.
“I’m worried about Luke too,” you replied. R2 beeped and whirled. “Yes, I know how important he is, R2.” Once again, the droid beeped. “No, I cannot be the Chosen One. It’s up to him now.”
~~~
It didn’t take long for Leia to join you at your post, watching the horizon for the men to return. C3PO and R2 were both with you. R2 was trying to pick up any signals from out in the blizzard.
“General,” one of the officers came up to you, “all the patrols are in. There’s still no contact from Skywalker or Solo.”
“R2 says he’s been quite unable to pick up any signals,” C3PO added. “Although, he admits that his own range is far too weak to abandon all hope.”
“Your Highness, General,” Rieekan came up to the took of you as he spoke, “there’s nothing more we can do tonight. The shield doors must be closed.”
You hated that you hadn’t gone after Luke with Han. Standing here, helpless, was not something you were okay with.
“Close the doors,” Rieekan ordered the officers, who quickly obeyed.
As the doors began to close, you closed your eyes and focused on the Force. You branched out to try and sense something, anything, from Luke or Han. You flinched slightly as you felt something all too familiar. Something you hadn’t felt in three years.
“R2 says the chances of survival are 725-to-1,” C3PO said, trying and failing to make you and Leia feel better. “Actually, R2 has been known to make mistakes… from time to time.”
“3PO, out of the kindness of my heart, please, shut up,” you told him, still keeping your eyes shut.
You reached out with the Force once again to see if the same familiar. When you did, your eyes snapped open and you spun around, rushing toward your quarters. You ignored Leia’s calls of your name. Once you were in your quarters, you leaned back against the door.
“Obi-Wan,” you rasped. “Please, show yourself to me… I know you’re there.”
There was no response. The feeling in the Force was even gone. Your head hung as tears sprung up in your eyes.
“I need you, Obi,” you began to cry. “I am not strong enough for this… just… show yourself to me… please.” You slowly slid down the door to your knees. “Why have you abandoned me?”

The thought of Commander "Not My Vod'ika" Cody being the first person to step between dogpiles on Anakin and everyone else.
Not that he won't hold Skywalker accountable. Just...
Let's back up and let me explain, as I've done with @spacingstars and I think @ninjigma:
My current thought process is Cody being grumpy around Anakin and about Anakin, but in that playful way he is about Obi-Wan, just more... Anakin is little brother. Despite being... 2–4 inches taller than Cody, depending on how tall I make Anakin. Anyway.
It comes down to the concept of Cody also being a very observant young man, and he not only knows Kenobi well, but he's also figured out how both his General and Rex's space wizard tic.
Specifically, Cody knows that when General Kenobi gets anxious and starts on his own spiral, he becomes incredibly self-critical, and when it comes to Anakin... it often comes down to him listing his criticisms about Skywalker. What Anakin struggles to see and Cody has figured out is that Kenobi gets hung up on Skywalker's shortcomings because Obi-Wan holds himself to blame.
When Obi-Wan starts in on Anakin, he's driven by a need to make sure he's done well by Anakin, and anything not smoothed out in his Padawan is ultimately, as the Master, his fault.
If there is a kerfuffle when Rex and Anakin's relationship is revealed, it isn't hard to picture Obi-Wan doing an Obi-Wan and laying in on Anakin. Our Chosen One would, of course, start to weep, and get sulky.
This means little can be done to address the actual issue. Cody's solution? He probably has many. Most of the time it is to distract the Jedi Master. However, this is the same Clone who bodily flung himself at Grievious. Meaning, he isn't above distracting Kenobi by picking a verbal fight.
However, most likely, I see Cody showing his calm, simple, military focus and just... in so many words, telling Obi-Wan to calm the eff down. Usually, it is Cody who is the hot-headed one between them.
Cody's actions as a buffer isn't just to aid his General or keep focus on the issue. It is also... Skywalker may not be his General of choice, but he is... Little Brother, and Anakin is Favorite Little Brother's Jedi "Little Brother" General—and for some Force-forsaken reason—that Favorite Little Brother has chosen to...
That's as far as Cody will let me write. He will make commentary under his breath about how he "raised" Rex better than this. To which, the Captain will remind his illustrious brother that they didn't become friends until they were roughly 9 years old (18th cycle); Cody didn't raise him. Or remarks about how he thought Rex would have better tastes—"What would you rather, Cody? General Kenobi?"
Cody just has to say:
Tumblr media
Either way...
The idea of Cody being both Mr. Grumpy Cat Commander that cracks jokes about Skywalker being chaos on two legs, but he'll also:
Tumblr media
Because, as with all Little Brothers—Don't hit his little brother, it is HIS job to hit his Little Brother.
And if this is Favorite Little Brother's Chosen One(TM)—Is this who Rex has decided to make The Stupid Face(TM)* to? He can't have Kenobi self-sabotage himself AND the Obnoxious General, can he?
Look, I love imagining Cody and Anakin's friendship as complicated and multilayered—it fits with Anakin, and it fits with how I characterize Cody. I think they deserve a relationship that isn't what it seems, but it has a good foundation.
Why? At the core, I don't like the Clones being the super informed Mindful Ones who do everything right, all the time. But, I do like to explore how they are absent of some of the same foibles we may have, and can't been infected with certain social ails the way we have—e.g their relationship with the concept of Gender being very simple, basic, but mutable and adaptable. Or that they haven't been inducted into the galaxy's larger rape culture. On one hand, I love the idea of them being socially impressionable, but also... sheltered in a way that makes it easy for them to put aside some things. So, they pick up on things quickly.
They aren't experienced, well-informed, and quite progressive like the Jedi Order would be. However, they also aren't burdened with the same bigotry others have because they grew up incredibly sheltered and isolated.
Thus, Cody does not see the point in dressing Skywalker down, while everyone is in an emotional statement, to the point where emotions continue to escalate detrimentally. It does more harm than good, makes it harder for them to go through the issues later, and just...
It is that remnants of Cody's childhood:
Never hurt another brother.**/***

*The Stupid Face is the Clone colloquialism for... basically, heart eyes.
**Certain military regulations and their mandated punishments are another thing. Don't be a traitor, and don't desert—though, to Cody, deserters ARE traitors.
*** From Legends, we know that the Kaminoans had VERY strict rules about the Clones being prematurely harmed. It took a lot for Jango to get them to permit Commandos to be trained with live-rounds at all.

Revenge Of The Sith (Part 3)
Words: 5267
Warnings: language? typical Star Wars violence, the plot of ROTS (bc yes, that needs it’s own warning)
Star Wars Masterlist Main Masterlist
(THIS IS X READER I PROMISE IF YOU WANT THE NONE X READER VERSION THEN GO TO @imnotobsessedwfictionalchracters)
So I have like…a million OC’s. One of which I have with Anakin Skywalker. Recently (like a few months ago) I decided to rewrite Revenge of the Sith, but instead of Padme, it’s my OC and it becomes an AU near the end bc Obi Wan is able to pull Anakin back to the light. So, I decided to rewrite it (AGAIN) to make it x reader. So yeah, here it is, I hope you enjoy
Also, I did research on different names. Like the kid who speaks RIGHT BEFORE getting killed? Yeah, found his name (it's somewhere down there) and the Clone Trooper that you be taking Rex's place since he was with Ahsoka (And Jesse was too) would most likely be Appo. So yeah. Researching little things like that was fun.
Also, if you can't figure out a name for the brother, just do Dran cause that's what it is for my actual OC
ALSO ALSO, 'Save Y/N' or something similar is said a lot in this, omg
(Previous Part) (Next Part)
“Save your energy.” Spoke Obi Wan.
Y/N weakly shook her head, “I can’t.”
“Don’t give up, Y/N.”
Anakin sat the Holopad next to him on the couch. The premonitions were getting worse. He was seeing them even when he wasn’t sleeping. He sighed and looked over as he heard Y/N walking in. She gave him a soft smile as he spoke, “Obi Wan’s been here, hasn’t he?”
She placed a soft hand on his shoulder as she passed him. “He came by the morning. I was going to tell you when I saw you.”
Anakin quickly got up and began to follow her, “What did he want?”
She turned to him slightly. Confused by his sudden question. “He’s worried about you.” She walked into the bedroom and placed her coat on the bed. “He says you’ve been under a lot of stress.”
He sighed, “I feel lost.”
She turned to him fully, “What do you mean by ‘lost’, Ani?”
He slowly walked towards her. “Obi Wan and the council don’t trust me.”
She raised an eyebrow. She wondered what could have happened to make him think this. She kept her voice soft, trying to comfort him. “I thought that they trusted you with their lives?”
He stared out the window, “Something’s happening. I’m not the Jedi I should be.” When he stopped and looked at her, she motioned for him to continue. “I want more. And I know I shouldn’t.” He trailed off and she walked over to him.
Placing a comforting hand on his arm, she knew Anakin. Knew that he was expecting himself to be able to do more than he could. “You’re expecting more of yourself than you have to give at this time.”
He turned to her completely and placed his hands softly on her waist. “I found a way to save you.”
His nightmares. “Save me? How?”
“I found a way. Just please trust me. I can’t lose you.”
She nodded and kissed him softly. “Why don’t you stay here for a while today? Longer than you had originally planned to.”
He smiled at her softly, “I can’t, my love. Obi Wan is going after Grievous and I have to stay at the Temple until he returns.”
She nodded, “If he gets Grievous then this war can end, right?”
He nodded, “And we can raise our kid in peace.”
She smiled and kissed him again. Of course the child(ren) would not know peace for its first 20+ years. But they didn’t know that yet. “Good.”
-
Anakin stood next to Windu as they were speaking to others. That was until Commander Cody appeared. And when he did, Anakin felt worry reside in him. Worried that something had happened to Obi Wan. “Master Windu, May I interrupt?” Windu nodded lightly, “General Kenobi had made contact with General Grievous and we have begun our attack.”
“Thank you, Commander.” Cody gave a curt nod and cut out of the call. “Anakin.” Anakin turned his head to Windu, “Deliver this report to the Chancellor. His reaction will give us a clue to his intentions.”
He nodded, “Yea, Master.” And turned on his way to inform Palpatine of the new discovery.
If he had stayed for a few moments more, he would have heard Windu’s feelings. And maybe…perhaps he wouldn’t have done everything that he did. And perhaps the next 23ish years wouldn’t have gone the way they will.
-
When Anakin made it to the Chancellor, he noticed that he was looking at a map of a planet. One he believed was in the Outer Rim. One that had nothing to do with the War. But it seemed that somehow Palpatine sensed Anakin and he turned off the map and turned around.
“Chancellor?” He walked closer. “We just received a report from Master Kenobi. He has engaged General Grievous.”
“We can only hope that Master Kenobi is up to the challenge.”
Anakin realized what Palpatine was doing. It was something he had done to Ashoka to get her to say how she felt. But he hoped that he was wrong. He looked away from the Chancellor, “I should be there with him.”
“It’s upsetting to me to see that the council doesn’t seem to fully appreciate your talents. Don’t you wonder why they won’t make you a Jedi master?”
Anakin began to pace slightly. “I wish I knew.” He sighed, “More and more I get the feeling that I’m being excluded from the council.” He stopped and looked at Palpatine. He noticed that there was something about him that felt off. Something dark surrounded the Chancellor. And so Anakin remembered what Palpatine said. “I know there are things about the Force that they’re not telling me.”
“They don’t trust you, Anakin.” Palpatine stood and walked towards him. “They see your future.” He placed a hand on his back, “They know your power will be too strong to control.” They walked to the doorway, “You must break through the fog of lies the Jedi have created around you.” They walked into the hall, “Let me help you to know the subtleties of the Force.”
“How do you know the ways of the Force?” He was the Chancellor. A former Senator. Why would he know the ways of the Force? He had no reason to know.
“My mentor taught me everything about the Force. Even the nature of the Dark Side.”
Anakin sped up and walked in front of the Chancellor. Suddenly realizing that the Jedi were right to question Palpatine. “You know the Dark Side?”
“Anakin, if one is to understand the great mystery, one must understand all its aspects. Not just the dogmatic narrow view of the Jedi. If you wish to become a complete and wise leader, you must embrace a larger view of the Force.” Anakin and Palpatine began to slightly circle one another. “Be careful of the Jedi, Anakin. Only through me can you achieve a power greater than any Jedi. Learn to know the Dark Side of the Force and you will be able to save your wife from certain death.”
Anakin stopped as Palpatine gave him a sickly sadistic smile. “What did you say?” He felt himself reaching for his lightsaber.
“Use my knowledge, I beg you.”
He took his saber out of the carrier and lit it. “You’re the Sith Lord!”
They began to circle one another again. “I know what’s been troubling you. Listen to me. Don’t continue to be a pawn of the Jedi Council!” Anakin felt himself feeling more betrayed. “Ever since I've known you, you’ve been searching for a life greater than that of an ordinary Jedi. A life of significance. Of conscience.” Palpatine began to walk away from Anakin, but he still followed with his saber. “Are you going to kill me?“
“I would certainly like to.” But he knew he couldn’t. It wasn’t like the Jedi to kill.
Palpatine’s voice with his next words made the hair on the back of Anakin’s neck stand. “I know you would. I can feel your anger. It gives you focus, makes you stronger.”
Palpatine turned to Anakin and he turned off his lightsaber. And the next words that came from his mouth hadn’t felt voluntary. He was thinking them, but he hadn’t planned to say them. “I’m going to turn you over to the Jedi Council.”
Palpatine nodded, “Of course. You should. But you’re not sure of their intentions, are you?”
“I will quickly discover the truth of all this.”
“You have great wisdom, Anakin. Know the power of the Dark Side. Power to save Y/N.”
He shook his head, “I can do that without your help. Without the Dark Side.”
“You sound so sure of it, Anakin.”
He felt himself grow more angry, “Because I am!”
Palpatine nodded and walked back into his office, “Then go and inform the Council of what you think you’ve discovered and see their reaction.”
Anakin watched as Palpatine walked into his office and for a moment he hesitated. But he knew what he had to do.
And he knew where to find Master Windu.
-
He ran down to one of the Hangers and slowed down as he got closer to Windu and the other Jedi. “Master Windu. I must talk to you.”
Windu looked at Anakin, “Skywalker, we just received word that Obi Wan has destroyed General Grievous.” Anakin felt a small sense of pride when he heard that. After all, Obi Wan was his friend (brother), and one of the only people he trusted. But then Windu continued talking as he began to walk. “We’re on our way to make sure the chancellor returns emergency power back to the senate.”
And that was when Anakin was reminded of why he was there. “He won’t give up his power. I’ve just learned a terrible truth.” He stopped for a moment, thinking of how to word it. “I think Chancellor Palpatine is a Sith Lord.”
Windu stopped and looked at Anakin. Almost in disbelief it seemed. “A Sith Lord?”
Anakin gave the smallest nod, “Yes. The one we’ve been looking for.”
“How do you know this?”
Anakin tried to keep most of the reasoning out. “He knows the ways of the Force.” He looked away for a moment but did look back at him. “He’s trained to use the Dark Side.”
And for the first time, Anakin saw a look of Windu that he almost only saw him give someone like Yoda. Complete and utter belief. “Are you sure?”
“Absolutely.”
“Then our worst fears have been realized.” Windu turned and Anakin followed him, “We must move quickly if the Jedi order is to survive. “
Anakin felt like this could be his last chance to prove that he was worthy to be a Master and to fully be on the Council. “Master, the Chancellor is very powerful. You’ll need my help if you’re going to arrest him.”
Windu shook his head slightly, “For your own good, stay out of this affair.” For his own good? “I sense a great deal of confusion in you, young Skywalker. There is much fear that clouds your judgment.”
Anakin tried to convince him, “I must go, Master.”
But he knew by Windu’s tone that his answer was definite, “No.” They stopped and Windu faced him, “If what you’ve told me is true, you will have gained my trust.” He now stood in front of Anakin, but unlike with Obi Wan, there wasn’t that sense of hope and calmness between them. “But for now, remain here.” Anakin wanted to fight, but he knew he shouldn’t. So he nodded his head slightly, “Wait in the Council Chambers until we return.”
And as Windu stepped onto the carrier with Fisto, Kolar, and Tiin. “Yes, Master.” He watched the carrier fly away. And no matter how much he didn’t want to, Anakin walked to the Temple. And did what he was told.
-
Anakin sat in his seat and closed his eyes. Focusing on trying to feel for Y/N. something he always did when he was stressed or couldn’t focus on something else. But he was unable to as Palpatine’s voice was echoing through his head, “You do know, don’t you,  if the Jedi destroy me, any chance of saving her will be lost.” He opened his eyes and looked around for a moment. He took in another deep breath and tried to focus on her again. If not her, than Ahsoka.
Ahsoka.
He wished he had gotten to tell her how proud of her he was. Especially now that she had taken down Maul and was on her way back. The second she would get there, he would force her to talk to him. Force her to listen to him tell her how proud he was and how much he missed her. And then hope that she would tell him what she had been doing for the past year.
And it seemed that thinking about that helped him focus on finding Y/N.
He saw her standing up, he knew that she felt it, and then her walking over to the window that looked out to the Temple. She had a worried look upon her face.
He got up and walked to where he would see the area where she was. He had a bad feeling about everything. That something was going to go wrong and that he would be needed. But then there was the fact that he knew what he would do. He had to save Y/N. he just...he couldn’t allow her to die. Not when he knew there was a way to save her. And he knew that she felt it. She felt like something bad was going to happen too. He began to tune her our as she turned to DB as he entered and nodded to him.
He left the Chambers and ran down to hop onto his starfighter that he had just signaled Commander Appo to get ready. So when he made it down to the bay, all he did was jump in and go in the direction of the Senate Building to either help stop Palpatine or unfortunately join him.
-
Quick was Anakin as he jumped out of the starfighter and ran down to Palpatine’s office when he got there, Kolar, Tiin, and Fisto were dead. Windu had Palpatine down, his lightsaber pointed at his head.
“You are under arrest, my lord.”
Anakin noticed Windu motioning for him to stay where he was, and so he did. :”Anakin, I told you it would come to this.” He looked over from Windu to Palpatine and knew that he was faking the weak voice, “I was right. The Jedi are taking over!”
“The oppression of the Sith will never return. You have lost!”
“No. No. No! You will die!” Anakin flinched away when the bright light of lightning glowing in the room. He moved his arm to try and block the light, but still see what was happening. And what he saw was lightning shooting from Palpatine’s hand and Windu’s lightsaber blocking it. “He’s a traitor!”
“He is the traitor!”
Anakin fully looked at Windu. He had all of the intentions to help him. Help the one that he knew he could trust. But Palpatine’s next words pulled him away from doing what was right. Because Palpatine knew one thing. Anakin would be selfish and save Y/N than to do what was right.
“I have the power to save the one you love! You must choose!”
And he knew he shouldn’t. He knew that Windu was right as he said his words. “Don’t listen to him, Anakin!”
But unfortunately, Anakin succumbed to Palpatine’s weak voice. Something he would always do. Succumb to those who know exactly how to manipulate and use him. “Don’t let him kill me. I can’t hold it any long. I-I-I-I can’t. I-I-I’m weak. I’m-I’m too weak.” He stuttered out. “Anakin.” His hand fell and the lightning stopped, “Help me. Help me!” Palpatine groaned and Anakin grew more to help him. “I-I-I can’t hold on any longer.”
“I am going to end this once and for all.”
Anakin shook his head, “You can’t!” Anger from when Ahsoka was forced to stand trial for the crime she didn’t commit came through.  He must stand trial!” If Ahsoka had to, then he had to. It wasn’t fair. He wouldn’t allow it to happen. It hurt him to watch her go through it. Watch as they pushed her away from him. And maybe if they hadn't done it, all of this wouldn’t be happening. Because he would have her still. But not just her. He would have Rex. The two people he had known he could always confine to.
“He has control of the Senate and the Courts! He’s too dangerous to be left alive!”
“I’m too weak. Oh. Don’t kill me. Please.”
“It’s not the Jedi way.” He walked towards Windu. He wasn’t going to allow him to break one of the only rules Anakin actually understood. “He must live!”
“Please don’t!” Windu moved his hand and Anakin knew what was going to happen. Even before Palpatine spoke.
“I need him!” He did. He needed Palpatine. He needed him to show him, teach him, how to save Y/N. So when Windu moved his lightsaber to kill Palpatine, Anakin acted irrationally and pulled his own out, cutting Windu’s arm off.
But what Anakin hadn’t expected was what Palpatine did. He wanted to help Windu the second it happened. But he didn’t. He just shut off his lightsaber and stubbled back as Palpatine pushed Windu out of the window with the lightning.
“What have I done?” He continued to stumble until he fell. He felt his lightsaber fall out of his hand and it clink onto the floor.
Palpatine stood and walked over to Anakin. “You’re fulfilling your destiny, Anakin.” No. This isn’t what he was supposed to do. “Become my apprentice.” No. He could still stop it. He could still fight him. He just needed Obi Wan. “Learn to use the Dark Side of the Force.”
But Anakin couldn’t. Obi Wan wouldn’t. He had gone too far. He just had to hope that Y/N would still love him after all this. “I will do whatever you ask.”
“Good.”
He slowly looked up at Palpatine, “Just help me save Y/N's life.” For if he couldn’t do that, then why did he do all of this? All of this would have been for waste if he was unable to save her life. He looked back down, trying not to show any of the emotions he was feeling. “I can’t live without her.”
“To cheat death is a power only one has achieved, but if we work together, I know we can discover the secret.”
Anakin fell to the floor, unable to keep himself from doing so. “I pledge myself to your teachings.” He tried to hide everything. Hide the fact that he was scared. That he was unsure. That he was worried.
“Good.” But no matter how hard Anakin tried, he couldn’t keep eye contact. He tried hard, but he was unable. Unable because he was scared that Palpatine would realize what he was feeling inside. “The Force is strong with you.” Anakin hated that saying. It was something he had heard many times over again. He lifted his head back up to Palpatine. “A powerful Sith you will become. Henceforth, you shall be known as...Darth...Vader.”
And then that word went back to its old meaning for Anakin. And he once again truly hated to say it. “Thank you, my Master.”
“Rise.” Anakin stood up. “Because the Council did not trust you, my young apprentice, I believe you are the only Jedi with no knowledge of the plot.” Palpatine turned to him, “When the Jedi learn what has transpired here, they will kill us, along with all the Senators. And since you are with me, most likely Y/N as well.”
Anakin knew that Palpatine was right in a sense. “I agree. The Council’s next move will be against the Senate. And they would believe that Y/N knew of all of this and would kill her in order for her to not try and avenge me.”
“Every single Jedi, including your friend Obi Wan Kenobi, is now an enemy of the Republic.” And no matter how much he would wish it wasn’t, Anakin knew it was true. But, he knew that he would be able to convince Ahsoka to join him and that Palpatine wouldn’t, or at least he hoped he wouldn’t, deny that. Especially since she wasn’t a Jedi.
“I understand, Master.”
“We must move quickly. The Jedi are relentless. If they are not all destroyed. It will be a civil war without end. First, I want you to go to the Jedi Temple. We will catch them off-balance” Anakin knew what Palpatine was implying. “Do what must be done, Lord Vader. Do not hesitate. Show no mercy. Only then will you be strong enough with the Dark Side to save Y/N.”
“What about the other Jedi spread across the Galaxy?” There were many of them. Mundi. Plo. Ahsoka. Obi Wan. Aayla, Jaro Tapal, Depa and Caleb.
“Their betrayal will be dealt with.” Palpatine sat in his seat, “After you have killed all the Jedi in the Temple, go to the Mustafar system. Wipe out Viceroy Gunray and the other Seperatist leaders.” Anakin gave a small nod, “Once more the Sith will rule the Galaxy! And...we shall have...peace.”
And unknown to him, three people, in various places in the Galaxy, could feel what was happening. And one...one was the one he would have never wanted to hurt like this. And he knew...deep down that this isn’t what was supposed to happen. That all this would do is end in more pain and suffering for the larger half.
-
Unaware that it was similar to Ahsoka walking down the steps, Anakin marched up the steps of the Temple with the half of the 501st that was with him. He didn’t know that clone Commanders across the Galaxy were getting transmissions from Palpatine saying to kill their Jedi. Little did he know that Ahsoka was hiding in a vent and was going to have to find out about Fives. That Plo was getting shot down by Wolffe. After just handing him his lightsaber, Cody ordered the other Troopers to shoot down Obi Wan. That Aayla trusted her troopers so much that she believed they saw something she didn’t. Depa telling her young Padawan to run.
Anakin walked into the Council Chamber room as he had felt a strong presence there. He walked in and the younglings looked up to him. One that he had recognized as the young Sors Bandeam walked over to him. “Master Skywalker, there are too many of them. What are we going to do?”
Anakin lit his lightsaber. He knew that these would be the kills that would hurt the most. Afterall, they were young and defenseless kids. But he blocked out any pain that he could feel, and did as he was told.
Then off in the far distance, Y/N stood staring out of the window. She didn’t know what to think. She was worried for Anakin. The Temple was on fire and she wasn’t answering his calls. She had begged DB to contact Padmé to find out if Anakin had ever returned to the Temple.
She turned to look at her droid, “Padmé said that the Chancellor’s office indicated that Anakin had returned to the Jedi Temple.” She felt her heart drop at those words. “Don’t worry. I-I’m sure he’ll be alright.”
She looked back out at the window and was unable to hold back the tears that spilled. She held a hand over her mouth as she sobbed. The chances of Anakin still being alive after that were thin. But she knew she had to hope that he was. But she couldn’t. She wished that she could and she tried as hard as she could, but she was just unable to.
And so when DB told her that Anakin’s starfighter was landing, she ran over to him. She quickly went to hug him. Immediately when she pulled away, she spoke to him quickly. “Are you alright? I heard there was an attack on the Jedi Temple. You can see the smoke from here.”
He placed soft and reassuring hands on her sides. “I’m fine. I’m fine. I came to see if you and the baby are safe.”
She didn’t answer him, “What’s happening?”
He sighed, “The Jedi have tried to overthrow the Republic.” He hated that. Lying. He knew one day it would get back to her and she would hate him for it.
“I can’t believe that.”
“I saw Master Windu attempt to assassinate the Chancellor myself.”
He saw as her surprise turned to worry, “Oh, Anakin. What are you gonna do?”
He knew he had two choices. Tell her the truth or lie. He turned and walked away from her slightly. Lying would be easier. He already had. And besides, it wasn’t a full lie. “I will not betray the Republic.” He turned back to her, “My loyalties lie with the Chancellor and with the Senate and with you.”
“What about Obi Wan?”
No. He didn’t want to hear about him. He didn’t want to imagine him dead. Or imagine what he would think if he knew. Anakin didn’t want to think about Obi Wan being betrayed by Anakin. “I don’t know. Many Jedi have been killed.”
“And Ahsoka?”
Ahsoka. Maker did he hope she was okay. “We can only hope that they, both her and Obi Wan, remained loyal to the Chancellor.”
“Anakin...I’m afraid.”
He placed a loving hand on the side of her face. “Have faith, my love. Everything will soon be set right. The Chancellor has given me a very important mission. The Separatists have gathered on the Mustafar system.” His hand dropped from her face, “ I’m going there to end this war. Wait for me until I return.” She nodded softly, “Things will be different. I promise.” He carefully pulled her in for a kiss. When they pulled away, he kept his hand at the back of her neck, “Please, wait for me.”
She nodded as he walked away. She held her hands tightly together as she watched him fly away. DB walked over to her. “Oh, Y/N, is there anything I might do?”
She shook her head, “No, thank you, DB.”
He began to walk away as he spoke, “Oh…I-I actually feel helpless.”
-
As Anakin flew onto the small Volcanic moon named Mustafar, he began to wonder why he was doing this. Was it really all just for Y/N? What if what he saw happening to Y/N is because of him doing all of this? He shook his head and ignored those thoughts as he went to land his ship. He hopped out of the ship and walked to where he was told the Separatists would be. He knew R2 was following him, so as he lifted his hood, he gave his droid an order. “R2, stay with the ship.” He heard him beep in protest, but chose to ignore them and continue.
He walked down the hallway to the room where the Separatists were. Gunray was the one who greeted him. “Welcome, Lord Vader. We’ve been expecting you.”
He closed all of the doors so there would be no way for them to get out. He lit his lightsaber and began to kill the Separatists. It was easier than he thought it would be and he wondered why the Jedi hadn’t done this sooner. Of course, unknown to him, his eyes had turned to the sickly yellow that the Sith had been known for.
Gunray and Tambor had tried to hide in a conference room. He quickly killed Tambor before flipping over to kill Gunray who tried to plead. “The war is over. Lord Sidious promised us peace! We only want-” He stopped Gunray from finishing his sentence as he slashed his lightsaber across his body. He turned off his saber and went to send the transmission to Palpatine. Informing him that he did what he was asked to do.
-
Y/N let out a sigh of relief when Obi Wan showed up just as Anakin had hours previous. After they had greeted he told her that he had to speak with her. And so that’s why they were standing in her and Anakin’s sitting room.
“When was the last time you saw him?”
She walked away from him, “Yesterday.”
He followed her, “And do you know where he is now?”
She wasn’t fully sure if she could trust Obi Wan, so she lied. “No.”
“Y/N, I need your help. He is in grave danger.”
She turned around sharply, “From the Sith?”
“From himself.” Obi Wan tried to swallow anything in his dry mouth. He placed a comforting hand onto her shoulder. He knew that she wasn’t going to like what he was going to tell her. Assuming she would even believe him, “Anakin has turned to the Dark Side.”
“You’re wrong.” He knew this would be her reaction. After all, he didn’t want to believe it either. She moved back from him and his hand fell, “How could you even say that?”
He carefully moved past her. He didn’t want to tell her, but he knew he had to. “I have seen a-a security hologram...of him...killing younglings.” He placed a hand over his mouth to keep himself calm. He felt as if he was going to throw up even saying it.
“Not Anakin. He couldn’t.”
Obi Wan turned to her, she was right. Anakin couldn’t. It was against how he was. But somehow Palpatine had twisted something and convinced Anakin to turn. “He was deceived by a lie. We all were. It appears that the Chancellor is behind everything. Including the war.” He carefully moved towards her, “Palpatine is the Sith Lord we’ve been looking for.” He watched as her face grew more and more in disbelief. “After the death of Count Dooku, he began to train Anakin. And now Anakin has become his new apprentice.”
Y/N turned away from Obi Wan. She didn’t want to believe it. She didn’t want to believe that Anakin, her Anakin, had done all of this. She walked away from him, “I don’t believe you.” She carefully sat on one of the couches. “I can’t.”
Obi Wan came to sit next to her gently, “Y/N...I must find him.”
She turned her head to him and that was when he finally saw the tears gathering in her eyes. But those tears quickly began to go away as she accused Obi Wan of something he would never do. At least not to Anakin. “You’re going to kill him, aren’t you?”
But unfortunately, he didn’t deny it. “He has become a very great threat.”
He watched Y/N shake her head, “I can’t.” He knew that she knew where Anakin was. And he knew that since she knew all of this, she was going to go find him. So all he had to do was watch her until she went to find him.
He got up and walked back to his fighter, but he stopped when he was nearly there and looked at her. “Anakin is the father, isn’t he?” He knew it was true. He just needed her to give some recognition that it was true. So when she looked down he knew. He sighed, “I have turned a blind eye in order to keep you both safe. So all that I can do now is say this. I’m so sorry.” He continued and left on his fighter.
-
Y/N walked to her ship as her brother Y/B/N followed her. “Sister, let me go with you.”
She shook her head, “There’s no danger. The fighting’s over. And this is personal.” There was one thing that she knew, in her family, if it was personal, then you go alone. Unless you ask for help.
“As you wish, but I strongly disagree.”
“I’ll be alright, Dran. This is something I must do myself.” They stopped at the entrance of her ship. “Besides, DB will look after me.”
She turned and walked onto her ship with DB behind her as her brother walked away. And unknown to her, Obi Wan snuck on behind them. She walked over to the cockpit and DB went to the pilot’s seat and she sat there wondering how all of this happened.

Idk if you still do Obitine fanfic requests, but I was wondering if you could do one where Obi-Wan and Satine almost get caught by the Jedi Council and Anakin (and maybe Padmé) have to frantically cover for them left and right? I adore your work, been reading them all day if you can't tell 😅
- Lies, Sweet Lies -
While Obi-Wan had never explicitly stated his reasoning for leaving Coruscant so abruptly Anakin knew - in the uncanny way he had always been able to read his master - that he was jetting off to Mandalore to see Satine.
He wouldn't say anything, of course. How could he? He himself had spent the entire morning with Padme. Out of everyone in the Order he had no right to chastise Obi-Wan.
Still, at least he and Padme were more often than not on the same planet. He doesn't quite know how Obi-Wan does it; being so far from Mandalore. Then again, his Master had gone literal years without seeing Satine. He's certain both of them have a patience that neither he nor Padme posses.
"Skywalker!"
He had been standing outside the entrance of the Senate chamber, chatting idly with Padme about his latest mission when Mace Windu shouted his name.
"Master Windu," Anakin greeted, "Is something the matter?"
The Jedi Master eyes both he and Padme cautiously, gaze shifting from one to the other for a bit longer than Anakin was particuarly comfortable with.
To his relief though, the older man didn't comment on them.
"I'm looking for General Kenobi." He says gruffly, "But it seems your master has vanished and hasn't answered his Comlink. Any idea where he may be?"
Anakin felt his blood run cold. Surely Obi-Wan wouldn't have been so careless as to leave the planet without coming up with a valid reason.
Right?
To his relief, its Padme that jumps in.
"I actually just saw Master Kenobi only this morning."
He knows immediately that his wife is lying; Obi-Wan had left late last night, a fact that Padme is more than aware of.
"Did you?" Mace questions, "I don't suppose he had mentioned where he would been heading today, did he?"
Padme froze, unprepared for the question. As much as she was a quick thinker on her feet, and could convince someone of even the most outrageous lie by sheer virtue of her honest demeanor, he knows that she doesn't know enough about Obi-Wans day to day and missions to come up with something plausible.
"As far as I know sir, he had mentioned going to the medical station. Some of the 501st were injured just before we returned. I suppose he wanted to check in on our men."
Mace narrows his eyes, clearly unconvinced.
"You mean to tell me Obi-Wan pulled himself away from the temple to pay a visit to the clones medical station?"
Anakin hoped that Mace couldn't detect the slight panic that was bubbling in the pit of his stomach.
"I recall you saying that his com was lost during their mission, didn't you Anakin?" Padme asks, looking pointedly at him.
God bless Padme and her quick thinking.
"You're right," Anakin says in a tone he hopes is convincing enough, "Cody had found it after we cleared out. I assume he had taken it with him to the Medical Station; it's likely Obi-Wan went out to retrieve it."
Mace looks back and forth between the two of them. If he isn't convinced by the story, he doesn't vocalize it.
"Contact the Medical Station, would you? Tell them if Obi-Wan hasn't already left his presence is required by tomorrow morning, Master Billaba is returning from Chalacta with an urgent update for the Council."
Anakin nods enthusiastically.
"Of course, Master Windu. I'll get in contact with them immediately."
Without so much as a goodbye the older man saunters off, and with him went all the tension Anakin had been holding in his chest.
"That was a close one." He looks at Padme, "Thank you, for that. I don't think I could have come up with a cover story that quickly. The lost com was a brilliant idea."
"Working in the Senate has certainly helped my quick thinking skills," She says, "You need to contact Obi-Wan now and tell him the council is looking for him."
"If he isn't answering for the council I doubt he'll answer for me." Anakin say with a shake of his head.
Padme grins, "He might not be answering, but I'm certain Satine will."
He can't help but return her grin.
------
Obi-Wan watches as Satine looks out the windows that lead to the balcony. It was nearing sundown on Mandalore, and the skies were lit up in an array of orange and red. It wasn't often she was given the opportunity to gaze out onto the sunset, and it wasn't often he was given the opportunity to gaze at her.
"Does the sunset interest you more than my presence, dear?" He teases, coming to stand beside her.
Satine chuckles softly, "Can't I admire the presence of both?"
He had arrived hours earlier, sneaking into Sundari Palace undetected. He had wanted to surprise her, and so he hadn't alerted her of his arrival. Instead, he had waited in her private chambers until she returned from her conference with the neutral systems.
To say she was surprised to see him would have been an understatement. Had she not been so shocked to see him standing in the middle of her room he's certain she would have panicked at the intruder.
Not that he gave her much time to react, by the time he saw the initial panic leave her eyes he was already kissing her.
He places a hand on her hip and looks out towards the skyline. As much as he loves to tease her he can't help but understand her fascination with the sky. It was a sight to behold.
"I suppose," He says, "So long as the sunset doesn't overshadow my visit."
Satine chuckles before leaning up and pressing a chaste kiss against his lips.
"I would never allow it."
Reconnecting with Satine felt like both the most daunting task and yet the most simple decision he's ever made. He was a man that valued truth above all else, and he could not deny one truth more than the other. He loved Satine just as he loved being a Jedi. It was a conundrum that plagued him more often than not. He knew he was going against the code that he held so dear, yet he cannot being himself to pretend as though being in love with Satine is wrong when it is something that felt so conclusively right.
"I'm glad you're here," Satine says, resting her head on his shoulder, "It was a lovely surprise."
"I thought so," He presses a kiss to the top of her head, lips lingering for just a fraction longer than necessary, "It's been too long."
"It has." She agrees, voice a bit more solemn than before.
He feels guilty every time he leaves, knowing that she would be waiting anywhere from weeks to months to hear from him. He hated it, jetting off around the galaxy with the knowledge that she was waiting for him.
But Satine was nothing if not dedicated to her duty, and she understood as well as he did that if they were going to act on their feelings for one another it would only be allowed in fleeting moments.
It wasn't fair but then, neither was the war they were both thrust in. She fighting to keep her people out of it, and he entering the fray and fighting for the republic.
"I miss you terribly." Satine admits, "More so than normal, which is why I'm overjoyed to have you here."
Another pang of guilt hits him square in the chest.
"I'm sorry," He says, "For always leaving."
She looks up at him, eyes narrowed in a way that lets him know she's deadly serious.
"Don't you dare apologize," She tells him, "I made my choice just as you did. There is no place for apologies in that. They do no good to us."
"You're right," He takes her hand in his own and raises it to his lips, "No dwelling on the what ifs. It's a waste of the time we have."
There's a wicked grin gracing her lips as he speaks, "I can think of a few more productive use of our time."
The hand he held in his own was suddenly tugging him in the direction of her bed, and who was he to deny her anything?
He had just collapsed on top of her and pressed his lips to the base of her neck when the familiar chirping of Hololink sounded throughout the room.
"Ignore it." He requests.
She hums contentedly but still tries to squirm out of his embrace.
"Obi-Wan." She huffs.
"How often are we alone, Satine?"
"Not often enough," She relents, "But no one knows you're here, and they're likely to send guards this way if it's important and I ignore it."
He sighs in defeat and rolls off of her.
He watches as she finger combs her hair and adjusts the collar of her dress. The last thing she would need is someone questioning her dishevelment. All the better for him too; best not to alert anyone she has a consort in her private chambers. People would start to suspect things.
When Satine accepts the call, the last face he expects to see is Padmes.
“Satine!” The younger woman exclaims, though her voice is lacking in its normal excitement.
“Hello Padme,” Satine greets, voice as even as ever. “Is everything alright?”
He watches as Padme opens her mouth to answer, but is cut off when the holo is taken out of her hands. When it settles back into focus, it’s his Padawans face that he’s greeted with.
“We have a problem,” Anakin says, forgoing a hello, “The council is asking me where Obi-Wan is.”
Upon hearing that Obi-Wan scrambles off the bed, grabbing his discarded tunic and pulling it over his bare chest. Anakin might have been made privy to his relationship with Satine, but that didn’t mean he wanted to hear the teasing that would surely come from the younger man.
“Anakin,” He says, coming to stand behind Satine, “What’s going on? Did something happen?”
“Other than having to make up a complete lie to Mace Windu about your whereabouts, everything is going fine.”
He groans, not even bothering to hide his displeasure. If there was one thing he didn’t want to happen, it was for Anakin to be tangled in his web of lies when it came to his relationship with Satine.
“You what?”
The projection flickers for moment and obscures his padawans face but he’s certain he caught a glimpse of an eye roll.
“Lied to Mace Windu, to cover for you. Padme and I both.”
Having Anakin lying to the council is one thing, but dragging Padme into his mess was worse.
“Anakin,” Obi-Wan places a hand on Satines should, “You shouldn’t have lied to a council member, and certainly shouldn’t have involved Padme.”
“I involved myself, Obi-Wan.” Padme assures him, “And we didn’t have much of a choice.”
“Still,” Obi-Wan says, “I dislike the idea of someone lying on my behalf.”
“I very well couldn’t tell them you jetted off to Mandalore to see your girlfriend, could I?”
He doesn’t need to look at Satine to know the both of them are blushing at Anakins brash description of their relationship.
“What did Mace want, Anakin?”
His thumb gently rubs the exposed skin of her shoulder; trying his best to soothe the worry he knows is bubbling inside her at the thought of their relationship being exposed. He can’t say he blames her. If anyone less friendly than Anakin and Padme found out it would be a disaster for the both of them.
“Master Billaba is due to return shortly from Chalacta, evidently they’ll be holding a council meeting tomorrow morning to discuss whatever information she found. Master Windu was looking to inform you, I’m assuming, but you weren’t answering your comlink.”
His mind briefly wanders to the comlink he has hidden safely in the pocket of his robes, which lay somewhere discarded on the floor. No doubt he was too preoccupied with other things to have heard it.
“Yes, I mustn’t have heard it.”
Though out of view, he can hear Padme giggle lightly in the background.
“Thank you, Anakin, for being gracious enough to cover for the both of us. Don’t let his feigned annoyance fool you, Obi-Wan is just as grateful.” Satine says in the same tone she uses to address her people. Clear and crisp but sincere.
“If anyone asks,” Anakin says, “Particularly Master Windu, you were at the medical station with the 501st retrieving your lost comlink, which Cody so graciously found and held on to for you.”
It worries him a bit how well Anakin was able to lie to a council member. But then, he had been lying about his relationship with the Senator for years now.
“Very clever.” He says with a shake of his head, “I suppose I’ll be departing soon, then.”
The thought saddens him and he can tell by the slight slumping of her shoulders Satine feels the same way.
“We’ll see you soon then, Master.”
“Thank you both again,” Satine says, “Truly. Time is precious and I appreciate you doing what you can to provide us with it.”
He may have been given the moniker ‘The Negotiator’ due to his impeccable social and verbal skills, but he knows Satine could give him a run for his money any day on that front. She was as articulate and sincere as she was serious and dedicated.
“Anytime, Duchess.” Anakin says.
“I’ll be talking to you soon I’m sure,” Padme says to Satine, “Take care in the meantime.”
“You too, my friend.” Satine says warmly.
“See you soon, Master.”
The image flickers for a moment before vanishing completely and Obi-Wan releases the breath he hadn’t realized he had been holding.
“I apologize.” He says, sliding the hand on her shoulder up to cup the back of her neck, “It seems my impromptu visit turned into more trouble than intended.”
“Isn’t that how it always goes?” Satine asks. Her tone is light and teasing but he knows there’s an undercurrent of truth to it.
“I had truly intended to stay for at least another day.”
Satine leans forward, her hands flattened against his chest, and kisses him sweetly.
“I am grateful just to have been able to see you, even if our time was cut short.”
There’s something about the way the evening sun illuminates her pale hair that makes him feel a bit weak at the knees. It always seemed that she somehow became even more of a breathtaking sight when he had to leave.
And he thinks in some regard it would be easy to walk away from the order if this - the love of his life drenched in the evening sun - was waiting for him when he did.
But he knows as well as she does that they both have a duty to their people, one that must be carried out by them.
“If I could give you all the time, I would.” He says sincerely.
“And I would do the same for you,” She kisses him again, slower and sweeter than the one before and he suddenly feels like he can’t breathe, “But we have our duty, and it must remain that way.”
He doesn’t know what else to do but loop his arms around her smaller frame and draw her close to him.
She tucks her head into the crook of his neck, fitting against him like a puzzle piece he hadn’t known he was missing in the first place.
How can something that goes against the code feel so right?
“I should go,” He says reluctantly, “Before Anakin slips and gets us caught.”
He can feel her chuckle against him as she presses a kiss to his neck before retracting herself from his grasp.
“I will be patiently awaiting your next return, Master Kenobi.”
He smiles, “I will always return to you, Duchess.”

Human Pleasure Droid
Chapter Three
The uniform they build for Kenobi is partly clone greys, partly his own clothing, and partly some refitted armor that the quartermaster got printed by Engineering.
Kenobi’s wardrobe is largely made up of things that are fit for a courtesan, but his more modest garments are relatively appropriate. Almost Jedi-like, maybe.
Quinlan’s still not a fan, but jewel-toned tunics and partial armor over grey synthwool trousers makes Kenobi look at least a little professional.
“Well? Do I pass inspection?” the droid drawls.
“Adequate,” Quinlan says. “Still don’t think I need an aide, but if Commander Cody signed off on it, then fine. Do you actually have a reason for the datapad, or is it just a prop?”
“I may not need a datapad to see things, but anyone I speak with will,” Kenobi clarifies. “And the information security teams have confirmed that my firewalls are up to spec for military clearance levels.”
“That’s good news,” Quinlan says.
Kenobi smiles, thin and a little mocking. He pulls at something that’s attached to his tunic, which comes away with the telltale whirl of a retractable clip. “I’ve even got an official civilian employee badge. Fancy that.”
“I don’t know what you’re trying to get at, but I don’t like it,” Quinlan tells him.
“Why, General Vos,” Kenobi dimples, “whatever do you mean?”
--
Skywalker’s clothes are very much toeing the line of decency, but he’s more covered up than General Secura, so Rex decides to let it go. The pants might be skintight, but at least they cover everything. The top tunics may be sheer, but at least they’re layered enough to be… mostly opaque. The boots may have heels, but at least they’re closed toe. There’s makeup, but Rex cannot bring himself to care about Skywalker putting on kohl or lipstick. There’s no midriff or peekaboo nipples, and minimal trailing fabric to be a safety issue, and that’s really all he cares about.
“Should I ask about the mismatched arms?” Rex prompts.
One of said arms comes up so Skywalker can wiggle his fingers in a wave. “Flesh integration was a bust on this one. Gangrene. Swapped out for full mech since they didn’t have time to grow a new set of skin and muscle cover.”
Hello, regret.
“I’ll let medical know that’s something you’re vulnerable to,” Rex says. Skywalker seems disappointed by something. “I’m escorting you to the hangars.”
“An escort? Good sir, I’m flattered to—”
“Don’t,” Rex says shortly. “I’m doing this because I don’t have any troopers to punish with your presence.”
Skywalker’s flirtatious smile drops. He actually looks a little hurt. Arms go crossed, and lips go pouty, and Skywalker is no longer meeting his eyes. “Fine.”
Rex would feel more guilty if he didn’t need to keep shutting Skywalker down in the first place. “Come on. You’re set to work eight hours at the hangars. Familiarize yourself with the people and where everything is. Do not flirt. Do not try to get into anyone’s bed or pants. Do not offer sexual services. Follow not just the letter of these orders, but also the spirit.”
“And if I don’t?”
“You will be locked in the assigned room and refused access to the rest of the ship,” Rex tells him. “You were not invited aboard in the first place, and this is a military vessel. Violate orders, and find yourself remanded to the one room. Are we clear?”
Skywalker’s glaring. “As crystal, sir.”
“Good.”

Summary: Doctor Verse. The ER Doctors of Coruscant General sent on team bonding retreat. New Dean of Medicine - Bail Organa - insists they deserve a break. They're all workaholics so they get sent on an enforced break - the retreat. Nobody is pumped about this. Obi-Wan stoically (sarcastically) endures. Rex is so damn tired. Fox really couldn't care less. Quinlan only comes because Fox is there. And Cody just wants some peace and quiet. Ahsoka and Padmé are probably the only sane ones there.
