YES beachcomber would be such a collector of rocks and minerals and show them to his human friends. Especially unique ones like fulgurites
Him sharing all his different rocks he's collected with you and you sharing your different seashells with him.~ <3
I think he'd be REALLY into fossils and amber too. The idea that over time a once-living organic creature can slowly but surely become an indelible mineral, a snapshot of a bygone era, is deeply fascinating to him.
Tumblr media
"This one's called a cowrie shell." The shell that fit so snugly in the palm of your hand is dwarfed in Beachcomber's massive servo, but he still handles it with incredible care. "This one's on the bigger side, but small ones used to be used as currency in different parts of the world."
"It's beautiful. And it ain't polished or anything like that?"
"Nope! Sometimes you'll find them covered in salt in the water if they've been there for a while, but while it's alive the snail inside keeps the shell shiny and clean. Not all shells are like that, though."
You can tell you've piqued Beachcomber's curiosity, so you quickly take the next shell you've brought out of your bag. "This is an abalone shell. The rough outside helps them to camouflage with coral and rocks. But on the inside..."
You turn the iridescent inner shell to Beachcomber's gaze, and his faceplate lights up with awe.
"It's beautiful."
You take the cowrie from his servo and press the abalone into it. He cradles it so tenderly, rocking it gently back and forth to catch the rays of light bouncing off the glistening, pearlescent interior. Before knowing the Autobots, you wouldn't have expected their stern metal faces to be capable of this level of soft sincerity. How foolish you were, back then.
"We could go shell-hunting sometime, if you'd like!" You add. "I can show you where I found some of my collection, see if we find anything good?"
He turns his attention back to you, his voice low, smooth, and achingly tender.
"I'd like that very much."

A landslide on a Dorset beach has attracted dozens of fossil hunters in search of relics.
Some 200 enthusiasts combed the beach in the village of Charmouth, on the Jurassic Coast, collecting scores of ammonite fossils.
The majority are said to have picked up ammonites, extinct sea molluscs prized for their intricate spiral shells, which measure from 2cm to 2ft and were washed out of the mud and shale by the sea.
Very cool, if you like such things.   I know good examples sell to collectors for a tidy price.

In the last week I've kept seeing people say 'Sally sells sea shells by the sea shore', but I swear to god I've only ever seen the version starting with 'she' until now. Like:
Tumblr media
It works better with the tongue twister anyway?? And it's rumoured to have been inspired by the fossil collector and palaeontologist Mary Anning, not a Sally, though according to wikipedia there's no actual evidence this was the case.

What Are Opalised Fossils and How Do They Form?
Tumblr media
In the heart of Australia’s red desert landscapes lies one of the most extraordinary natural wonders—opalised fossils. These breathtaking relics are far more than just beautiful gemstones; they’re prehistoric remains preserved and transformed by nature over millions of years. But what exactly are opalized fossils, and how do they form? Let’s explore the stunning fusion of geology, paleontology, and gemology.
What Are Opalised Fossils?
Opalized fossils are the fossilized remains of ancient organisms—such as marine shells, plants, and even dinosaurs—that have been replaced or encased by precious opal, Australia’s national gemstone. This unique transformation occurs when silica-rich water seeps into cavities left by decaying organic material, gradually forming opal in its place.
These rare treasures capture not only the structure of ancient life forms but also the vibrant play of color that makes opal one of the most visually captivating gems on Earth.
Where Are They Found?
Tumblr media
The vast majority of the world’s opalized fossils are found in Australia, particularly in regions such as Coober Pedy opal, Lightning Ridge, and White Cliffs. These areas were once covered by the Great Inland Sea, a prehistoric ocean that existed over 100 million years ago.
As marine life flourished in this ancient sea, their remains settled into sedimentary layers. Over millions of years, geological processes transformed the surrounding environment, replacing some of these remains with opal.
How Do Opalised Fossils Form?
The process of localisation is both slow and complex, requiring specific environmental conditions:
Organic Burial: An organism, such as a mollusk, fish, or plant, dies and is quickly buried under sediment.
Decay and Void Formation: Over time, the organic material decays, leaving behind a cavity or imprint.
Silica-Rich Water Infiltration: Water-carrying dissolved silica seeps into these cavities.
Opal Formation: Under the right pressure and conditions, the silica settles and solidifies into opal, capturing the shape of the original fossil.
This rare geological phenomenon requires just the right mix of time, water, minerals, and luck. That’s why opalized fossils are so rare and prized—both scientifically and commercially.
Types of Opalised Fossils Discovered
Tumblr media
Some of the most incredible opalized fossil discoveries include:
Belemnites (ancient squid-like creatures)
Shells and marine creatures
Prehistoric fish bones
Tooth and jaw fragments
Even opalized dinosaur bones, including parts of species like the Weewarrasaurus—Australia’s very own opal dinosaur!
Each specimen is a one-of-a-kind blend of science and art, often displayed in museums or sold to collectors and gem lovers around the world.
Why Opalised Fossils Are So Valuable
The value of opalized fossils lies not only in their aesthetic beauty but also in their scientific importance. They offer a rare glimpse into ancient ecosystems, while also showcasing nature’s ability to create something stunning from something lost. For gem collectors, opalized fossils represent a perfect union of color, rarity, and history.
Moreover, because they are found almost exclusively in Australia, they have become icons of national pride and a symbol of the country’s rich natural heritage.
You can also watch: Video 12 Opal Fossils
youtube
Conclusion
Opalised fossils are more than just beautiful stones; they are stories from deep time—fossilised echoes of life, preserved in one of nature’s most dazzling minerals. Their formation is a result of remarkable geological processes that occurred over tens of millions of years, making each piece a timeless relic that bridges science, history, and natural art.So, whether you’re a gem enthusiast, a fossil collector, or simply someone fascinated by Earth’s wonders, opalised fossils are truly a marvel worth discovering.

Traying to guess the personality Dandy's world characters as someone that knows little to nothing about the game (+ giving my toughts on them) part 5
Let's begin!! There are very few characters left by now, and since i kinda got bored of doing this but i don't wanna left it unfished, this part is going to be extra long as a final post! Hope you enjoy!
This is the previous post if you wish to see it
17- Tisha
Tumblr media
A maid! Looks cute but deftly a background character, i do like how they made her look like a maid without any maid outfit, i appriciate that; all her character seems to be around cleaning and being the maid, the polite woman that is always taking care of the house but i'm not sure if there's more to her. I think the why she is a tissue box is quite obvious, and the color palette helps with the idea of her being clean
18- Toodles
Tumblr media
Problably a lucky and energetic young girl, she seems to be a kid or at least very young compared with the rest, so she is probably your tipical hyperactive, innocent and friendly little girl that still haves a lot to learn. The only reason way i think she is a lucky character is becouse she is a 8 ball, the rest speaks for itself
19- Astro
Tumblr media
OH MY GOD!! I L O V E THE WAY HE HUGS HIS BLANKET!! SO CUTE AND KIND OF ORIGINAL TBH. But aside from that; Astro seems to be a cowardly, shy and inrroverted character, always holding to his blanket for comfort and on his tip toes like if he was in the middle of his run away. The color palette is cool and really does give him this moon vibe ha has going on
20- Pebble
Tumblr media
Honestly just a dog. I can see from a mile away that this character had no personality other then being other thag just a dog. I do think that good tho, it kind of settles them appart from the rest of the characters, even if not much
21- Shelly
Tumblr media
Such a cute character! And one of the two first characters that made me be intrested in the game! She is deftly friendly and i do know that she has a love for dinosours, witch i think is evident on her color pallette!! All those browns make you think of sand and dirt, and if you connect that idea with her being some kind of shell, you can think of fossils quite quickly. I love how original she is! I do know that she is intended to be a main character, and i think they did a good job on it!!
22- Sprout
Tumblr media
Omg a stawberry! Cute! First i'm going to say is that he is problably either loving or very passionate about what he does; mostly becouse red is a color that is often used to prepresent those traits; and the pinks makes him look more soft. The pose makes me think he is playful and very extroverted, but i'm not sure why he has a scarf. I do know that apparently he is in a relationship with Cosmo and that he likes to cook, witch i think makes sence since they are the only sugary food characters in there, witch connects them in a way; but i do think that the cooking part of his character is not as obious as it should, maybe a apron could benefit him. Still, a very solid desing!
23 - Vee
Tumblr media
I like her desing! I always enjoy a TV-head desing if i'm honest, they are always pretty cool, but i do feel like she is missing something, like, the head is perfect to give ver a more technological look, her bowtie makes her look more elegant and the pose she gives kind of makes her look excentric compared to the rest; but i feel like her body is a bit plain (?) I'm not sure how to explain it since simple bodies are the norm in all this characters; but like, most of them had some kind of clothing that gived them a more unique siluette (The only execption being Dandy, but he has a more complexed head that would make him look a bit overcharged if he weared any clothing) sure, she has her bowtie but i don't know, sometimes it looks a bit off. She was the second first ever character of Dandy's world that got me into the game! (It was a Vee x Shally meme animation)
24- Gigi
Tumblr media
She screams gamer from head to toe, collector and profesional at hoarding shit just becouse she likes them, even her color pallette is similar to a Nintendo Swtch; chill for sure, relaxed and layed back; problably does her things at her own speed without caring much about what others think. I mean, her name sounds like the expression GG, and she is one of those plastic things you would get from one of those surprise machine with some kind of little toy inside; you cannot tell me this girl goes out of her house more then two days at best; she is stinky for sure and i love it.
And i think that would be all! Thanks for staying with me and read my none sence about this characters! From what i could see in the interactions to my previous posts, my guesses aren't that different from the cannon, so that means the creators of this made a great job while desinging them! Good for them! I'm super excited about this game and i really wanna know more about it! Maybe i should reopen my old Roblox user to play the game! (I haven't played roblox since 2019). I can't wait to see what this new community has to show me a d have fun while traying to undertand the lore of this game
But that will be enough yapping for now, once again, thanks for reading and i'll see you next time, have a great day!

Update !!! 8.6. 2025
Thanks to @ vividblues answer and own post here on tumblr, an enthusiastic coral finder and collector, helped to identify this flat rock as an sort of an agatized Devonian coral, like an favosites coral finnaly an helpful opinion.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I need some suggestion or other help of the rock - fossil identification on this specimen.
It has the pattern like the chambers from modern „unions cells“ or, some piece of an petrified coral or sponge.
Dark grey non tranculent. Lightly weight.
Found on the yesterdays fossil hunt on the search with other rocks, flint shards from surrounding field works. Flat surface of rock, not polished to feel more like an rub over an tortoise shell. 🐢 But of course it’s isn’t.
In the zoom you can seen the struckture. Found on the same location of finds like the previous sponge and echinoids near field tracks. With lot of chert flint pebbles and chunks.
Has the form vaguely of an oyster shell but it isn’t one, has no cracks or rims like an shell struckture. More like an onion cell chambers, under an microscope.
Can’t tell which flat rock it is but likely with silicate parts. Smooth but roughly struckture on both sides.
The Google last image search and reading of porifea or coral finds in forums doesn’t helped.
Tumblr media
Posting it again. Have no idea suggesting part of an coral or likely sponge struckture petrified. Found on dry field land in the middle range of Germany, no direction to the sea or large rivers.
